TAKATA RECALL - DRIVER'S AIRBAG RECALL WENT OUT ON FEB. 12, 2016, AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL WENT OUT ON MAY 23, 2016. WE HAVE RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTERS, TELLING US THAT HONDA WILL BE IN CONTACT "THIS FALL" TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS REPLACED. HONDA HAS STILL NOT CONTACTED US ABOUT WHEN THIS CAR SHOULD BE BROUGHT IN TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS REPLACED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN INTERMITTENT FAILURE, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO BE LOCKED INSIDE THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE DOORS FAILED TO LOCK AND UNLOCK. THE CONTACT ALSO TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V030000 (AIR BAGS) AND 16V061000 (AIR BAGS), BUT WAS UNCERTAIN AS TO WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE SUPPLIED TO THE DEALER TO RECEIVE THE REPAIRS WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO UNCERTAIN ABOUT THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURE AND REPORTED THE FAILURE TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

POWER STEERING HORSE CRACK AND LEAKAGE ALL POWER STEERING FLUID MAKE THE CAR CANNOT TURNING (OUT OF CONTROL) AND GETTING ACCIDENT. HOPE HONDA WILL RECALL IT BECAUSE I SEE ALOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS. MY FRIENDS HAVE CHEVROLET, TOYOTA, KIA, AND MERCEDES NOTTHING PROBLEMS. I BOUGHT THIS CR-V 07 BRAND NEW JUST 107000 MILES AND GETTING ACCIDENT. I USE THE CAR ON A CITY STREET HONDA PLEASE RECALL THIS. I HAVE SOME PICTURES ABOUT THIS HORSE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT ALL FOUR DOOR ACTUATORS NEEDED TO REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THAT A MANUFACTURERS RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE HAD EXPIRED IN MID NOVEMBER OF 2015. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
TAKATA RECALL: CIRCA JAN/16 I REPORTED TO HONDA AMERICA THAT I WAS THE LEGALLY REGISTERED OWNER OF A 2007 HONDA CRV, BOUGHT IN THE USA AND EXPORTED FOR USE IN ST.VINCENT (CARIBBEAN), AND THAT THE SAID VEHICLE WAS ELIGIBLE FOR DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT BY JUNE 30/16. HONDA AMERICA CONCURRED AND ISSUED ME A REFERENCE #[XXX] ([XXX]). ON FEB.25/16 "JEAN" FROM HONDA AMERICA CONTACTED ME AND INSTRUCTED ME TO TERMINATE USE OF SAID VEHICLE. WHEN ASKED 'WHAT THEN AM I TO USE FOR TRANSPORT,' THE ANSWER WAS 'YOU CAN GO AHEAD AND RENT A VEHICLE WHICH HONDA SHALL REIMBURSE RELATED COSTS AFTER THE REPAIR OF YOUR CAR.' I ASKED FOR SUCH INSTRUCTIONS IN WRITING WHICH "JEAN" WAS QUITE HESITANT TO DO. "JEAN" EVENTUALLY SAID SHE WOULD REFER TO HER SUPERVISOR AND REVERT TO ME WITH THE AUTHORIZATION I SOUGHT, INCLUSIVE OF COURSE WITH RENTAL COSTS LIMITS THAT I HAD ALSO ASKED ABOUT. SAD TO SAY THAT SINCE THEN NO ONE FROM HONDA AMERICA HAS CONTACTED ME AND ALL EFFORTS TO CONTACT THEM VIA 888-234-2138 OR TO OBTAIN AN UPDATE VIA HTTP://OWNERS.HONDA.COM/RECALLS OR OWNERS.ACURA.COM/RECALLS HAVE PROVEN FUTILE. THE WEBSITE HAS BEEN DOWN AND NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT TO TALK ABOUT MY AIRBAG REPLACEMENT. ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THEIR WEBSITE, HONDA'S STATES "HONDA IS COMMITTED TO ADDRESSING THE NEEDS AND CONCERNS OF OUR CUSTOMERS AFFECTED BY THIS INDUSTRYWIDE ISSUE." THIS CLEARLY IS NOT SO AS NOONE HAS RESPONDED TO MY QUERIES AND IS GIVING ME A VIABLE SOLUTION TO THIS DEADLY PROBLEM.TO ME, HONDA IS ABOUT IMAGE AND SEEMS TO BE JUST TALKING AND DOING VERY LITTLE FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME. 2007 HONDA CR-V WITH ONLY 55,000 MILES WHILE STOPPED WITH FOOT FIRMLY ON BRAKE EXCELLORATES BETWEEN 3 AND 5 THOUSAND RPM'S. AT THIS POINT IT IS STUCK AND I PUT THE AUTO IN PARK AND TURN OFF. THIS MAY TAKE THREE OR FOUR TIMES TO GET IDLE BACK TO NORMAL. THIS SEEMS EXTREMLY DANGEROUS, ONCE WITH SCHOOL CHILDREN CROSSING IN FRONT OF ME. TOOK TO HONDA DEALSHIP FOR PROBLEM TWICE AND THEY SAID COULD NOT DUPLICATE AND SUGGESTED I RECORD ON MY PHONE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS. IT'S ALL I CAN DO TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. IF THE CAR BATTERY IS DEAD, THE REAR LIFT GATE CANNOT BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE NOR THE INSIDE WITHOUT TOOLS (I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS AN UNLABELED COVER INSIDE THE LIFT GATE THAT HIDES THE INSIDE EMERGENCY MANUAL RELEASE; BUT IT CANNOT BE REMOVED WITHOUT A TOOL) . THIS MEANS THAT THE SPARE TIRE AND TIRE CHANGING TOOLS ARE GOING TO BE UNREACHABLE. MOREOVER, IF THE SIDE DOORS ARE DAMAGED IN ANY WAY SO THAT THE REAR LIFT GATE IS THE ONLY REASONABLE WAY TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, IT CANNOT BE USED. I CONTACTED THE HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER (800.999.1009) AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE AN ANSWER INASMUCH AS THE OWNER'S MANUAL WAS THEIR ONLY RESOURCE. THEY REFUSED TO PROVIDE ANY OTHER RESOURCE OR ESCALATE MY CONCERN.
THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM ENGAGES AND DISENGAGES ON IT'S OWN, WHILE DRIVING, SLOWING DOWN AND STOPPING, THEN STARTING UP AGAIN. A VERY "FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY" TO ALL THE PASSENGERS BECAUSE THE DOORS MAY BE UNLOCKED OR LOCKED AT ANY TIME AND THE OCCUPANTS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT WHEN THEY THINK THEY CAN BASED ON WHAT THEY HEAR THE DOOR LOCKS HAVE DONE BY FALSELY ENGAGING & DISENGAGING.
I CAME OUT OF WORK AND STARTED MY CAR. IT SMELLED HORRIBLE, LIKE AN ELECTRICAL FIRE. I BROUGHT IT TO MY HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT IS THE CLUTCH MECHANISM. THE A/C COMPRESSOR FAILED AND IT IS GOING TO COST $1600 TO FIX. THIS WAS LEGITIMATELY OUT OF NOWHERE WITH NO ISSUE UP UNTIL THIS POINT IN TIME AND IT TOOK ME COMPLETELY BY SURPRISE. UPON LOOKING ONLINE, THERE ARE SEVERAL REPORTS OF SIMILAR SITUATIONS. A RECALL REALLY SHOULD BE DONE. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE REPAIR FOR OWNERS TO BE BURDENED WITH.
BOTH REAR POWER DOOR LOCKS BEGAN MALFUNCTIONING AS OF 11/01/2015 THEY CLICK OPEN AT ABOUT 10 MILES PER HOUR. EVERY TIME I SLOW DOWN AND THEN SPEED UP THEY CLICK OPEN. IT IS CONSTANT WHILE DRIVING. CHILDREN IN THE BACK ARE NOT SAFE

ALL MY DOOR LOCKS DON'T LOCK THE LOCKS ACTUATES AS NORMAL BUT THEY UNLOCK AND CANNOT BE LOCKED BY KEY THE ACTUATORS ACTIVATE WHEN DRIVING STOPPING ETC. I'VE RESEARCHED THIS ON LINE AND SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS THE DEALERS SAY IT WILL COST $314-$500 PLUS LABOR TO REPLACE WHAT EVER NEEDS NO RECALL THIS IS A SAFETY FOR SECURITY I HAVE90206 MILES ON MY VEHICLE AT PRESENT.
WHILE DRIVING IN CITY TRAFFIC THE PASSENGER DOORS WERE LOCKING AND UNLOCKING. AT ONE POINT THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR WOULD UNLOCK ON ITS OWN. I WAS UNABLE TO GET IT TO STAY LOCKED. THE NEXT TIME I USED THE CAR ALL SEEMED NORMAL. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.
DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS FOR REAR DOORS ARE DEFECTIVE. UNABLE TO LOCK REAR DOORS.
THE REAR DRIVER'S DOOR WILL UNLOCK WHEN THE CAR IS FULLY BRAKED (AT LIGHTS, STOPS, ETC) AND WHEN THE CAR STARTS AGAIN (APPROX 5MPH) THE DOORS WILL LOCK AGAIN. AT 10-12 MPH, THEY WILL UNLOCK AND REMAIN UNLOCKED FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE DRIVE (UNTIL STOPPED AGAIN). THE CHILD PROTECTION SETTING IS ON. WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED AND THE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF, THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK WITH THE KEYFOB. THE DOOR REMAINS UNLOCKED WHILE THE REST OF THE CAR IS LOCKED. THIS IS NOT ONLY A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT AN ISSUE OF PERSONAL PROTECTION AND IS A NON-DETERRENT TOWARDS THEFT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 164,000. THE OUTER RACE SECONDARY SHAFT BEARING IS BROKEN CAUSES ABNORMAL NOISE. THIS COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL ADDITIONALLY BROKEN PIECES MAY BECOME LODGED IN THE PARKING PAWL RESULTING THE VEHICLE ROLLING AFTER IT IS PLACED IN PARK POSITION. UNEXPECTED VEHICLE MOVEMENT INCREASES THE RISK OF A CRASH OR PERSONAL INJURY. IT TOOK A LONG TIME FOR SOMEONE TO FIND THE PROBLEM. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

BACK DOORS WILL NOT LOCK. I TRIED TO LOCK THEM MANUALLY AS WELL AS WITH THE KEY REMOTE AND MY BACK DOORS ARE ALWAYS UNLOCKED. THE KIDS COULD FALL OUT WHEN MOVING IF THEY OPEN THE DOORS.

I HEARD WHINNING SOUND IN MY 2007 HONDA CRV ( 2WD, 5 DOOR) AND I VISITED HONDA DEALERSHIP. THEY ADVISED ME TO CHANGE STEERING PRESSURE HOSE DUE TO LEAKAGE AND IT WILL COST ME APPROX $400. I VISITED ANOTHER BODYSHOP FOR SECOND OPINION, HE ADVISED ME THAT NOT ONLY STEERING HOSE WE NEED TO REPLACE STEERING RACK & PINION ASSEMBLY AS WELL DUE TO LEAKAGE. IT WILL COST MORE THAN $2000 TO FIX THIS. I NOTICED SIMILAR ISSUES ONLINE FOR LOT OF OTHER OWNERS FOR SAME MODEL/YEAR. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS QUALITY ISSUE OF THIS MODEL/YEAR. PAYING THIS AMOUNT IS TOO MUCH.
SUMMER 2015 MY A/C STARTED TO BLOW WARM AIR. TOOK MY CAR TOT HE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN WHICH THEY TOLD ME THAT MY COMPRESSOR HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I REPLACED THE COMPRESSOR AS IT WAS JUST STARTING TO WARM UP. ACCORDING TO TSB #SB-12-072 NHTSA ID #10056005, THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THOSE PARTS, BUT OF COURSE MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INVOLVED. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO EVEN GET PARTIALLY REIMBURSED BECAUSE $1,900 WAS A LOT TO SWALLOW.
THE AC CLUTCH DOES NOT ENGAGE AND IS APPARENTLY A KNOWN ISSUE ON MODELS BETWEEN 2002-2008 DUE TO NO HEAT SHIELDING AND PLACEMENT. THE RESULT IS FAILURE OF CLUTCH DUE TO EXCESSIVE ENGINE HEAT. REPAIR COSTS ARE MORE THAN $2000. ONLY CERTAIN VIN#'S QUALIFY FOR A RECALL AND THIS SHOULD BE ONE. CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED FOR POOR DESIGN.
THE CAR LURCHES FOR NO APPARENT REASON. IT HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, BUT HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT LATELY.
DOORS KEEP TRYING TO LOCK EVERY TIME CAR REACHES 8MPH OR WHATEVER THE STANDARD IS. THE DOORS REMAINED LOCK BUT THEY KEEP TRYING TO LOCK AGAIN. RESET TO LOCK WHEN CAR GOES OUT OF PARK. NOW ONE DOOR UNLOCKS ITSELF. I LOCK ALL DOORS AND THEN CHECK THE REAR LEFT DOOR AND IT IS UNLOCKED. I THEN HAVE TO MANUAL LOCK IT. I'VE ALREADY REPLACED THE ACTUATOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT DOOR TWICE.

MY HONDA DOOR DOES NOT LOCK AND MAKE LOUSND SOUND.
NOTICED A WHINING SOUND WHILE DRIVING COMMONLY ASSOCIATED WITH POWER STEERING CONTROL PUMP PROBLEMS. ALSO NOTICED FLUID LEAK SPOTS ON MY GARAGE FLOOR WHEN PROBLEM FIRST STARTED. WE TOOK THE CAR IN TO THE LOCAL HONDA DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT & WAS TOLD THAT THE POWER STEERING HOSE WAS CORRODED AS WELL AS THE "TRANSMISSION" HOSE HAD RUSTED. WE FOUND IT VERY UNUSUAL THAT A POWER STEERING HOSE WOULD CORRODE GIVEN THE FACT THAT WE BOUGHT THE HONDA NEW AND IT HAD BEEN RECENTLY SERVICED AND INSPECTED AT THE COST OF OVER $500.00 LAST YEAR. THE HONDA DEALER FOUND LEAKING POWER STEERING PRESSURE HOSE AND ALSO REPLACED THE COOLER LINE WHICH WAS TOO RUSTED. THE COST FOR THIS REPAIR WAS $762.46!! WE DON'T KNOW IF HONDA USED INFERIOR QUALITY HOSES BUT IT SURE SEEMS LIKE IT BECAUSE I NEVER HAD TO REPLACE MY POWER STEERING HOSE FOR MY 1994 TOYOTA PICKUP TRUCK & HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM REMOTELY RELATED TO "CORROSION" OR "RUSTING" ACCORDING TO THE HONDA TECHNICIAN'S SERVICE REPORT. WE WERE ONE OF THOSE CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE REAR DOOR ACTUATOR WHICH WILL BE REPAIRED UNDER A RECENT RECALL NOTICE WE RECEIVED LAST WEEK. THIS WOULD HAVE COST US $250.00 TO HAVE THE ACTUATOR PROBLEM FIXED IF WE HADN'T BEEN NOTIFIED!! *JS
THE LOCKS ARE CLICKING ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC AT A SLOW SPEED. THEY ARE NOT LOCKING OR UNLOCKING THE WAY THEY SHOULD. I ALREADY HAD THE LOCK ACCENTUATOR REPLACED WITH THE RECALL. THAT DID NOT CURE MY PROBLEM. MY PASSENGER WINDOW IS NOT WORKING AS WELL. I CANNOT ROLL IT DOWN AS IT TAKES SEVERAL TRIES TO ROLL IT BACK UP. THERE IS A SERIOUS ELETRONIC FLAW WHICH COULD LOCK ME IN MY CAR PREVENTING ME FROM GETTING OUT IF I CANNOT ROLL MY WINDOWS DOWN.
