TAKATA RECALL. HELLO MY CAR HAS BEEN ON THE RECALL LIST FOR OVER A YEAR. AT ONE POINT IS HONDA GOING TO BE RESPONSIBLE WITH FINDING A FIX? OR HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE HAVE TO BE HURT BEFORE THEY ARE FORCED TO DO SOMETHING? THE LIGHT ON DASH FOR THE AIRBAG HAS COME ON AND STAYED ON IN THE PAST. I'VE CONTACTED MY HONDA DEALER AND IT WOULD HAVE COSTED ME MONEY TO BRING IN MY CAR. THEY SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT ME WHEN THERE WAS A FIX FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL. I'M STILL WAITING.

FAULTY DOOR LOCKS-DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK OVER AND OVER. AT TIMES, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO UNLOCK THE DOORS.

HONDA ISSUED TWO SAFETY RECALLS FOR MY 2008 HONDA CRV ON 2/12/2016 AND 5/23/2016. THEY INFORMED ME THAT BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATORS HAVE SAFETY ISSUE, AND IT IS ADVISED THAT IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE AND FIXED THE AIRBAG, BUT THEY ALWAYS INFORM ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE. THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I HAVE FOR MY DAILY COMMUTE. I AM HOPING THAT THEY WILL HAVE THE PARTS READY SOON. HOWEVER, IT SEEMS THAT THEY ARE NOT PROACTIVELY FOLLOW UP ON THE AIRBAG ORDERS. PLEASE ASSIST.
THE DRIVER DOOR IS NOT LATCHING PROPERLY. WHEN DRIVING, THE LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD INDICATES THAT THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS OPEN. IN ADDITION. WHEN ACCELERATING, THE ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS WILL UNLOCK. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT REGARDING THIS ISSUE, BUT MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED, ALTHOUGH I AM HAVING THE PROBLEM WITH MY CAR. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AND MOVING.
TAKATA RECALL I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON 11-12-2016. THE SEATBELT TIGHTENED AND THE AIRBAGS ONLY PARTIALLY DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED WHEN HIT. YOU COULD SMELL THE RESIDUE FROM THE BAGS BUT NEITHER OF THE FRONT BAGS ACTUALLY POPPED OUT.

RECALL WAS ISSUED IN FEB OF 2016. SO FAR STILL NO AVAILABILITY IN OCT OF 2016. HONDA HAS OFFERED NO FURTHER REMEDY.
AC COMPRESSOR HAS FAILED...SEEMS TO BE COVERED UNDER TECHNICAL ALERT, BUT HONDA USA DID NOT WANT TO FIX THE FAULTY COMPRESSOR, SINCE I WAS 1 MONTH OUT OF EXTENDED WARRANTY.
MY 2009 HONDA CR-V EXPERIENCED A SERIES OF SUDDEN ACCELERATIONS THAT BEGAN WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED THE IGNITION OFF, SHIFTED TO PARK, THEN RESTARTED THE ENGINE. ONCE AGAIN, THE ENGINE RPM SPIKED TO OVER 4,000 RPM BEFORE I GOT THE ENGINE TURNED OFF. IT DID THE SAME THING ON THE NEXT TRY, GOING TO FULL POWER UPON STARTING BEFORE I COULD GET THE IGNITION TURNED OFF. ON THE THIRD TRY, IT STARTED AND IDLED AS NORMAL.

MY VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 36,000 MILES ON IT AND I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE APPROXIMATELY 4 MM LEFT ON MY REAR BRAKE PADS AND THAT THEY SHOULD BE REPLACED ASAP. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! MY VEHICLE HAS LOW MILEAGE AND SHOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS ISSUE. *TR

THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A POND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFT LEVER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR IS FAILING. THE DOOR UNLOCKS AUTOMATICALLY AS I'M DRIVING. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SHOWS THE DOOR AJAR WHEN THIS HAPPENS. IT HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AS WELL, CAUSING THE ALARM TO GO OFF RANDOMLY DAY AND NIGHT. OUR NEIGHBORS ARE UNDERSTANDABLY FURIOUS. I SLEPT IN THE CAR LAST NIGHT TO KEEP IT FROM GOING OFF - DIDN'T WANT TO BE UNDER THE HOOD IN CHICAGO AT 1AM TRYING TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE CAR EXPIRED IN AUGUST. APPARENTLY, OUR MODEL WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL OR CLASS ACTION SUIT. DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING $300 MINIMUM TO "DIAGNOSE" AND REPAIR. BOTHERS ME GREATLY THAT THE COMPANY IS KEENLY AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND YET I HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM TO TELL ME WHAT I ALREADY KNOW... THEY SOLD US A FAULTY PRODUCT.

THE SUNROOF (OR MOONROOF AS THEY CALL IT) SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THANKFULLY THE GLASS DIDN'T GO INSIDE THE VEHICLE, BUT IT WAS A TREMENDOUS SHOCK TO US. WE WERE VERY LUCKY THAT THE GLASS DIDN'T FALL ONTO OUR HEADS AS WE WERE DRIVING. INITIALLY WE THOUGHT THIS WAS DUE TO AN EXTERNAL EVENT SUCH AS A ROCK BEING THROWN TO OUR CAR, ALTHOUGH WE WERE NOT UNDER A BRIDGE WHEN THIS HAPPENED. WHEN WE STOPPED, WE REALIZED THAT THE PROBLEM WASN'T EXTERNAL. THE GLASS SHATTERED IN AN EVEN MESH, WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE OF AN IMPACT. THE MESH WAS POINTING OUTWARDS IN THE CENTER, RATHER THAN INWARDS AS EXPECTED IF IT HAD BEEN AN EXTERNAL CAUSE. I'VE ATTACHED SOME PHOTOS. I ALSO HAVE VIDEO OF THE SHATTERED SUNROOF IF NEEDED.
DELAY IN REPLACING PARTS FOR TAKATA RECALL - DAMAGED ROTORS AND PADS. I GOT A HONDA RECALL NOTICE AND WAS ASKED TO NOT DRIVE THE CAR DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. HONDA TOOK 3 MONTHS TO REPLACE THE PARTS AND MY CAR WAS NOT DRIVEN FOR 3 MONTHS. THIS CAUSED MY BRAKES ROTORS AND PADS TO RUST. I HAD PUT NEW ROTORS AND PADS TWO MONTHS BEFORE THE RECALL. NOW THREE MONTHS AFTER THE RECALLED AIRBAG WAS FIXED, HONDA IS ASKING ME TO REPLACE ROTORS AND PADS AGAIN FOR THE COSE OF $1100. DUE TO DELAY ON REPLACING THE PARTS BY HONDA - MY NEW ROTORS AND PAD WERE RUSTED AND I REACHED OUT TO AMERICAN HONDA TO REPAIR MY CAR. IT IS SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME NOW AS IT MAKES TOO LOUD NOISE AND HEAVY PULSATING VIBRATING NOISE WHILE APPLYING THE BREAK. I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING THE CAR AND ASKING HONDA TO RESPOND SOON - BUT HAD HAD NOT RESPONSE FOR THE CASE 05096581.

TAKATA RECALL: RECEIVED RECALLED LETTER IN MARCH 2016 WHICH STARTED THAT REPAIR WILL BE DONE THIS SUMMER. IN JULY I RECEIVED A SECOND LETTER WITH A WARNING THAT HONDA SUGGESTED THAT TO AVOID HAVING A PASSENGER SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT. I CALLED THE NUMBER LISTED IN THE LETTER AND WAS TOLD I CAN HAVE A LOANER UNTIL REPAIR IS DONE WHICH I GOT THROUGH A LOCAL DEALERSHIP. WITHIN A WEEK I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE REPAIR CAN BE DONE. ON AUGUST 3RD THE DRIVER'S SIDE WAS DONE; WAS TOLD THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE WILL BE DONE AND THAT I NEED TO RETURN THE LOANER CAR. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO HONDA DIVISION INFORMING THEM OF THE INCONVENIENCE THIS HAS ON MY FAMILY FOR NOT HAVING ANY ONE SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT. EACH TIME I WAS TOLD THAT A MANAGER WILL CALL ME BACK. AS OF TODAY NO ONE HAS RETURNED A CALL. IT SEEMS THAT BECAUSE I WAS USING A LOANER CAR THE DRIVER'S SECTION REPAIR WAS DONE QUICKLY. I AM DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY THAT THEY DON'T CARE WHAT THE EFFECTS ARE TO MY FAMILY. THE KNOWLEDGE OF THIS RECALL FOR MY FAMILY IS NOW CLOSE TO SIX MONTHS AND STILL NOT YET TAKEN CARE OF.
TAKATA RECALL - PASSENGER AIR BAG PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. WE HAVE TEEN LEARNING TO DRIVE AND MUST HAVE ADULT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. NEITHER DEALERSHIP NOR HONDA WILL AUTHORIZE ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION, FORCING US TO EITHER ACCEPT RISK OR RENT A CAR ON OUR OWN. HONDA SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO ADDRESS THE SAFETY ISSUE PROPERLY.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER "KASTNER HONDA" NAPA, CA 2 TIMES THIS YEAR AFTER RECEIVING TWO RECALL LETTERS FROM AMERICAN HONDA IN TORRENCE, CA THEY TELL ME THAT THEY TELL ME THAT THE TAKATA AIRBAG REPLACEMENTS ARE STILL ON BACK ORDER.

TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE AIR BAGS REPLACED FOR MONTHS NOW AT HONDA OF SANTA MARIA, CA. THEY SAID THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR-BAG IS STILL ON BACKORDER AND THEY HAVE NOW ORDERED THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. AFTER RECEIVING A LETTER IN THE MAIL REGARDING THE RECALL SAYING THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE A PASSENGER EVEN IN MY FRONT SEAT, I AM VERY UNCOMFORTABLE EVEN DRIVING MY CAR. I WANT IT FIXED ASAP, AND IT IS VERY INAPPROPRIATE WHEN IT IS A MATTER OF SAFETY TO BE KEPT WAITING SUCH AN EXTRAORDINARILY LONG TIME.

JUST SPENT 3 AND 1/2 MONTHS IN A RENT A CAR AND THE NIGHT BEFORE I PICK IT UP I GET A SECOND RECALL FOR THE PASSANGER AIR BAG. NOW HONDA JUST WANTS ME NOT TO PUT SOMEONE IN THE PASSANGER SEAT BUT I AM NOT COMFORTABLE DOING THAT I STILL FEEL LIKE IF THE BAG GOES OFF IT COULD CAUSE THE DRIVER AND POSSIBLE BACK SEAT PERSON INJURY. I WAS NOTIFIED ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO THAT MY CAR WAS SUBJECT TO RECALL FOR BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS. NOTICE SAID PARTS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL JUNE 2016. I CALLED MARIN HONDA THE LOCAL DEALER AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD ORDER PARTS. TODAY, JULY 11TH, I GOT A CALL INFORMING ME THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ORDERED WAS IN AND TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR INSTALLATION. I ASKED ABOUT THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG AND WAS TOLD IT WAS "BACK ORDERED". I SAID I WANTED TO WAIT FOR BOTH PARTS ORDERED FOR THE RECALL REPLACEMENT TO BE AVAILABLE SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO SPEND 2 DAYS ON THIS RECALL. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WOULD NOT BE HELD FOR ME AND MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG WAS AVAILABLE. THIS IS A KNOWN SAFETY RISK BUT HONDA IS NOT GIVING RECALL REPLACEMENT ANY PRIORITY, MUCH LESS THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. CUSTOMER SAFETY SHOULD BE NUMBER 1 PRIORITY.
