TAKATA RECALL - DRIVER'S FRONT AIRBAG INFLATOR. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 60 DAYS FOR PARTS AND REPLACEMENT OF DRIVER'S FRONT AIRBAG INFLATOR FOR OUR 2010 HONDA CRV. WATERMARK HONDA IN PADUCAH, KY PUT US ON WAITING LIST FOR PARTS AND REPAIR ON 07-07-2016 BUT THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS. WE RECEIVED TAKATA RECALL LETTER IN MARCH 2016 SAYING PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN SUMMER 2016. ON 07-07-2016 WE WERE PUT ON WAITING LIST AND HAVE CALLED TWICE TO ASK IF PARTS WERE IN. EACH TIME, WATERMARK HONDA HAS CHECKED AND CONFIRMED WE ARE STILL ON WAITING LIST, AND SAID THEY WILL CALL US AS SOON AS PARTS ARE IN. SO, ALL TOTAL WE HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 6 MONTHS FOR PARTS TO BE AVAILABLE AND OVER 60 DAYS FOR AN UNSAFE VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED!

TAKATA RECALL I AM BEYOND SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR. I TRAVEL ON THE PA TURNPIKE EVERYDAY TO AND FROM WORK. THE PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE TO REPLACE MY AIRBAG. I AM DEMANDING A RENTAL VEHICLE UNTIL MY CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE. THERE WAS JUST ANOTHER INCIDENT WHERE SOMEONE WAS KILLED BECAUSE OF THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. PROVIDING ME NOTIFICATION OF THE RECALL WILL NOT SAVE MY LIFE. THE AIRBAG MUST BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. OTHER MANUFACTURERS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REPLACE THEIR DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. WHAT IS TAKING HONDA SO LONG. I CAN'T CONTINUE TO LIVE IN DISTRESS THINKING WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR.

TAKATA RECALL: UPON RETURNING TO OUR LOCAL HONDA DEALER TO RETRIEVE OUR CR-V ON 6/17/2016 AFTER HAVING THE RECALLED DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG REPLACED, WE LEARNED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS ALSO DEFECTIVE. DESPITE BEING AWARE OF THE ISSUE, HONDA IS PRESENTLY REFUSING TO SERVICE THE VEHICLES OR TO PROVIDE RENTAL OR LOANER VEHICLES; INSTEAD, THEY ARE SIMPLY ADVISING INDIVIDUALS NOT TO SIT IN THE FRONT-PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THEY CAN FIX IT (MONTHS FROM NOW). THIS IS COMPLETELY AND HORRIBLY UNACCEPTABLE; THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS HAVE ALREADY RESULTED IN NUMEROUS FATALITIES AND HONDA IS EXERCISING WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE IN SENDING THESE VEHICLES BACK OUT ON THE ROAD. THESE ARE FAMILY VEHICLES, AND ARE MARKETED AS SUCH; WITHOUT USE OF A FRONT-PASSENGER SEAT THE CARS BECOME SLIGHTLY CLASSIER REGULAR CAB PICKUP TRUCKS. MOREOVER, THE OWNER'S MANUAL CITES IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS POTENTIAL PROBLEMS WHICH COULD UNDERMINE THE SENSITIVITY OF THE PRESSURE MONITORS WHICH ARE TO MONITOR THE PRESENCE OF A PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, MEANING THAT ALL PASSENGERS AND THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE ARE STILL IN DANGER OF FLYING METAL SHRAPNEL DECAPITATING THEM IN AN ACCIDENT. HONDA'S POSITION (AS STATED BOTH AT AUTONATION 385 IN MEMPHIS, TN AND VIA THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPLAINT CENTER AT (888)-234-2138) IS THAT THEY CAN DO NOTHING, AND THAT NO ONE SHOULD SIT NEAR THAT AIRBAG. LIVING IN THE SOUTH, MY FAMILY IS PRECISELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ZONE IN WHICH THIS DEFECT IS EXPECTED TO BE MOST LIKELY; HONDA'S POSITION IS INDEFENSIBLE AND DESERVES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION AND RESPONSE FROM THE NHTSA.

ON JUNE 9 2016 AFTER MAKING A ROUTINE LEFT TURN FROM A FULL STOP MY 2010 HONDA CRV KEPT ACCELERATING UNCONTROLLABLY. THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL EXCEPT MY RIGHT FOOT WHICH I IMMEDIATELY RELEASED; HOWEVER, THE CAR KEPT ACCELERATING WITH NOTHING ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. I USED THE FULL FORCE OF MY BODY TO APPLY BRAKE PRESSURE, BUT THIS WOULD NOT STOP THE CAR; IT MERELY SLOWED IT DOWN SOMEWHAT BUT THE CAR WAS STILL ACCELERATING. I HAD TO MAINTAIN AND INCREASE THIS CONSTANT FULL BODY FORCE EXERTION ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AS THE CAR KEPT ACCELERATING. AFTER ABOUT 45 SECONDS I IMMEDIATELY THREW THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL WHEREUPON THE RPMS SURGED WAY PAST 7000 (ONCE AGAIN THERE WAS NO PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND NOTHING WAS TOUCHING IT) & PAST THE CORRESPONDING RED LINE ON THE TACHOMETER. AFTER APPROXIMATELY ANOTHER 15 SECONDS I THREW IT BACK INTO DRIVE WITH THE FULL FORCE OF MY BODY STILL ON THE BREAK PEDAL AND NO PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND I MANAGED TO MANEUVER AND TURN HARD THE VEHICLE INTO A VACANT DRIVEWAY WHEREUPON I SHUT OFF THE ENGINE. THEREAFTER, THE ENGINE AREA SMOKED FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS. I WAITED APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES AND CAREFULLY STARTED THE CAR AGAIN, BACKED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND DROVE SLOWLY DOWN THE NEARBY ROAD TO SEE IF IT WAS GOING TO OCCUR AGAIN. IT DID NOT. I DROVE A THE CAR HOME A FEW MILES AWAY, DID NOT USE IT AGAIN THAT DAY AND THE VERY NEXT DAY (JUNE 10, 2016) I WENT TO THE HONDA DEALER. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANY FAULT CODES OR ANYTHING MECHANICALLY WRONG. THEY CLAIMED THE ACCELERATOR WAS OKAY, THERE WERE NO CODES IN THE SYSTEM AND THE BRAKE OVER RIDE WAS WORKING (WHICH IT WAS NOT AS I PREVIOUSLY STATED BECAUSE I HAD TO PUT THE FULL FORCE OF MY BODY ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO MERELY EVEN SLOW IT DOWN SOMEWHAT BUT THE CAR WAS STILL MOVING UNCONTROLLABLY) AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.

MY COMPLAINT IS THE SAME AS THE ONE THAT OWNERS OF ANY 2007-2009 HONDA CR-V HAD TO PUT UP WITH: DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURE. DRIVER'S SIDE REAR DOOR FAILED TO UNLOCK. WILL ONLY UNLOCK MANUALLY, IS NOT RESPONSIVE WHATSOEVER TO THE KEY FOB, OR THE LOCK/UNLOCK BUTTON INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE TAILGATE ALSO WILL NOT UNLOCK BY ANY MEANS, WHICH POSES A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD TO THE VEHICLE. I AM ASKING FOR AN EXTENSION OF THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR RECALL FROM 2007-2009. WHO IS TO SAY THAT ONCE I REPLACE THIS COSTLY PART FOR $350, THAT I WILL NOT HAVE TO THEN REPLACE ANY OF THE EXISTING 3? THERE ARE MULTIPLE REPORTS ONLINE OF 2010 CR-V OWNERS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO ENCOMPASS THE 2010 CR-V VEHICLES.

TAKATA RECALL, RECIEVED 2 NOTICES REGARDING THE RECALL, THE LAST ONE ON JULY 2016, STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED NOTICE THAT MY PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I FEEL THE RECALL IS BEING HANDLED VERY SLOWLY AND POORLY, ESPECIALLY WITH PEOPLE'S LIVES AT STAKE.

TAKATA RECALL. BOUGHT CAR AT USED CAR LOT. NOT INFORMED OF AIRBAG PROBLEM. FOUND OUT ON INTERNET SEARCH. LOCAL DEALER WON'T FIX IT UNTIL I GET LETTER FROM FLA. DMV STATING NEED FOR RECALL, THEN I HAVE TO WAIT TO GET A LETTER FROM AMERICAN HONDA FOR THE RECALL, THEN I CAN GET IT FIXED. THE DEALER WAS WRONG TO SELL THE CAR W/O NEW AIRBAG AND HONDA IS RELUCTANT TO FIX THE CAR BECAUSE I DIDN'T BUY IT FROM THEIR DEALERSHIP. VERY, VERY FRUSTRATED.
TACATA AIR BAG I RECEIVED A NOTICE DATED MARCH 2016 STATING I SHOULD REPLACE THE DRIVER'S FRONT AIRBAG INFLATOR. I CALLED SEATTLE HONDA ON APRIL 15, 2016. THEY ORDERED THE PARTS. AS OF JULY 6TH THE PARTS HAVE NOT ARRIVED. THIS IS LONGER THAN THE "REASONABLE PERIOD OF TIME (60 DAYS FROM THE DATE YOU FIRST CONTACT THE DEALER FOR A REPAIR APPOINTMENT)" STATED IN THE RECALL NOTICE.
DURING A REPAIR OF A RECALL (STICKY PISTON, OIL CONSUMPTION), HONDA NOTICED THE CAMSHAFT WAS SEVERELY DETERIORATED. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY DURING REPAIR.

TAKATA RECALL - WE TOOK OUR 2010 CRV TO BOB HOWARD HONDA IN EDMOND, OK ON APRIL 9, 2016 TO GET THE TAKATA AIRBAG FIXED. MORE THAN THREE MONTHS LATER, WE ARE STILL WAITING. WE HAVE CALLED BOB HOWARD MANY TIMES THE LAST FEW DAYS, AND CANNOT GET ANYONE TO CALL US BACK ABOUT WHEN THIS WOULD BE FIXED. CAN ANYONE HELP US?
TAKATA RECALL- I RECEIVED MY FIRST NOTICE IN EARLY APRIL, APRIL 8TH CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAS BASICALLY TOLD THAT THE RECALL WAS NONSENSE AND THERE WAS NO REASON TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING AND THEY WOULD HAVE PARTS IN 2-3 WKS. APRIL 19TH CALLED CORPORATE WITH CONCERNS AFTER TALKING TO DEALERSHIP. I RECEIVED AN ADDITIONAL RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS NOW ARE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. I NOW HAVE A 2 WK OLD BABY, A 2 YR OLD, AND A VEHICLE THAT I AM STILL PAYING FOR THAT I AM NOT COMFORTABLE SAFELY PUTTING MYSELF OR MY FAMILY IN AND NO REPAIR DATES IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THE 2ND RECALL HAS THE SAME TIMELINE OF SUMMER/FALL, I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A HUGE RECALL AND THE NUMBER OF DEATHS COMPARED TO THE NUMBER OF EFFECTED VEHICLES "ISN'T THAT GREAT" BUT ALL IT TAKES IS 1 ACCIDENT TO DESTROY MY FAMILY.
AMERICAN HONDA CONTACTED ME AND SAID DEALER WOULD PROVIDE LOANER ELIGIBLE FOR DRIVING BY 16 YEAR OLD IF DEALER WOULD PROVIDE LOANER IF I TITLED VEHICLE IN HER NAME. I HAVE NO IDEA IF MY INSURANCE WILL COVER VEHICLE IF I TITLE IN HER NAME OR WHAT OTHER EFFECTS IT MAY HAVE. I WILL FIND OUT. COMPLAINT 10853276

TAKATA RECALL NEITHER DEALER ZIMBRICK HONDA NOR AMERICAN HONDA HAVE PROVIDED AN ALTERNATIVE LOANER VEHICLE. I HAVE A 16 YEAR OLD WHO DRIVES THIS CAR. THEY SAY SHE CANNOT USE A LOANER BECAUSE THEIR INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER A 16 YEAR OLD. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. SHE IS THE ONE USER MOST LIKELY TO HAVE THE CRASH AND IS PRIME USER OF THIS VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED NOTICE IN THE MAIL OF THE RECALL CONTACTED HENDRICK HONDA OF CHARLESTON RIGHT AWAY, WAS TOLD THAT PARTS NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL JUNE AS THE LETTER SAID, WAS TOLD WE HAD TO WAIT FOR A LOANER CAR AND WAS PUT ON A WAITING LIST. THEY CALLED US WHILE WE WERE OUT OF STATE 2 WEEKS LATER TO COME GET LOANER CAR, WE SAID WE WERE GOING TO BE BACK NEXT WEEK AND THEY SAID SO SORRY THEN YOU DON'T GET A LOANER CAR.!! THAT'S THE LAST I TALKED TO THEM. WE USED TO GET GOOD SERVICE AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT BUT AS SOON AS WE CALLED ABOUT RECALL IT WAS LIKE "YOUR A NOBODY NOW" AND WE DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU. THERE WAS NOT EVEN A MENTION THAT THEY WOULD CALL US WHEN PARTS DID COME IN.
