"TAKATA RECALL" L WAITED ALMOST 4 MONTHS FOR THE PART TO COME IN FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL. I CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES TO HONDA CORPORATE AND THE LOCAL DEALER. FIRST CALL WAS MARCH THEY SAID BY SUMMER THE PART WOULD BE IN. I CALLED IN JULY AND THEY SAID NOW IT WOULD NOT BE UNTIL FALL THAT IT COMES IN. I FINALLY HAD TO MAKE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA AND WITHIN A WEEK THE DEALER CALLED AND SAID THE PART WAS IN. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED. HOWEVER BECAUSE THEY REQUIRED ME TO SIGN A PAPER SAYING I WOULD KEEP THE CAR PARKED AND NOT DRIVE IT, MY BREAK ROTORS FRONT AND REAR GOT VERY RUSTY. THE CAR SHAKES AND SHIMMIES WHEN BRAKING NOW. THE DEALER SAID THE ROTORS NEED RESURFACED. BUT THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $420 TO DO THAT WORK. I FEEL HONDA SHOULD PAY FOR IT SINCE IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT I HAD TO LET THE CAR SIT FOR 4 MONTHS. THE DEALER SAID HE COULD NOT DO ANYTHING, BUT TO CALL HONDA CORPORATE. I CALLED ONE WEEK AGO AND THEY SAID SOMEONE WOULD CALL BACK. NO ONE HAS CALLED BACK . I NEED THE ROTORS FIXED NOW. I FEEL IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT IS HONDAS RESPONSIBILITY.

RECALL AIR BAG INFLATOR DEFECT. I RECEIVED RECALL LETTER WHICH STATES THAT: "PAST RUPTURES HIKE THIS HAVE KILLED AND INJURED VEHICLE DRIVERS. THE LETTER ALSO STATES THAT REPLACEMENT PART FOR RECALL IS NOT AVAILABLE AND "WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN THE SUMMER OF 2016". I DO NOT FEEL SAFE, I ASKED FOR A COURTESY VEHICLE SIMILAR TO MY OWN CRV, WHICH I NEED SPECIFICALLY FOR A FAMILY MEMBER 'S NEEDS. THE HONDA OF TOMS RIVER DO NOT HAVE ANY COURTESY CARS AVAILABLE AND WILL ONLY ALLOW A RENTAL WHICH THEY GET FROM ENTERPRISE. THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE SECURITY DEPOSIT AND THEY WOULD ONLY PAY UP $35 PER DAY, (BUT ENTERPRIZE HAS NO RENTALS AT THAT PRICE, AS PER ENTERPRISE) AND THEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD UP IT TO $44 BUT THAT DOES NOT ALLOW ME A SIMILAR VEHICLE WHICH I SPECIFICALLY NEED FOR FAMILY MEMBER. I CALLED AND SPOKE TO CORPORATE SPENDING HOURS OVER 2 DAYS, I WENT TO TOMS RIVER HONDAY, GOT A COMPLETE RUN AROUND WASTING ANOTHER HALF DAY, AND LEFT THERE WITH MY OWN VEHICAL WITH A RECALL FOR AIR BAG INFLATOR THAT CAN KILL ME, AS I WAIT FOR PARTS TO COME IN SOMETIME THIS SUMMER. I AM ATTACHING THE NOTICE WHICH SUPPORTS MY STATEMENTS ABOVE. I DID SPEAK TO THE MANAGER THERE, RICH HOFFMAN. I NEED TO HAVE A COURTESY VEHICLE THAT IS A CRV OR SIMILAR, BUT THEY WILL NOT PAY ALLOW IT.

TAKATA RECALL: AFTER SEVERAL FAILED ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT HONDA, OR TO BE CONTACTED BY HONDA AS PROMISED, I'M AT A LOSS AS TO WHAT TO DO. I UNDERSTAND THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG IS DEFECTIVE AND MAY CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY IF DEPLOYED. HONDA IS NOT ACTING RESPONSIBLY.
TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HONDA STATING MY VEHICLE IS AFFECTED BY THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG AND IT COULD KILL OR INJURE ME OR MY PASSENGERS. TAKATA RECALL. I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER 4-6 MONTHS TO HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED. HONDA IS NOT OFFERING ANY CARS TO USE IN THE INTERIM SO IT'S BASICALLY DRIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THEIR RENTAL POLICY COSTS MORE THAN THEY SAY AND THEY DO NOT EVEN OFFER A VEHICLE OF COMPARABLE SIZE. I WISH TO BE PART F A CLASS ACTION.

TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES WITH CONCERNS ON GETTING MY VEHICLE IN FOR THIS RECALL. I WORK IN INSURANCE AND WE CURRENTLY HAVE TWO CLAIMS DUE TO THIS RECALL, ONE INVOLVING A FATALITY. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN HONDA. HONDA KEEPS TELLING ME THEY CAN'T HELP ME. COMMUNICATION IS A ONE WAY STREET ON THIS ISSUE. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY I RECEIVED A NOTICE RECALL AND THEN THE BALL IS DROPPED. I RECEIVED THE NOTICE MARCH 2016 EXPECTING SOME KIND OF COMMUNICATION BY THE END OF SUMMER AS STATED IN THE LETTER. THE LETTER INDICATES THIS MATTER SHOULD BE REMEDIED IN THE SUMMER OF 2016. I CALLED HONDA'SO PHONE NUMBER PRINTED ON THE RECALL ON JUNE 15TH AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE SO I CALLED MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE VEHICLE FILED VIRGINIA SAFETY INSPECTION BECAUSE THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT WAS SEVERELY FRAYED. THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY 23,008 MILES ON IT. THE REPAIR SHOP INSTALLED A NEW SEATBELT (GENUINE HONDA PART) AND ADVISED ME TO CONTACT HONDA. THE REPAIR SHOP RETURNED THE DEFECTIVE SEAT BELT TO ME TO AID IN MY CLAIM. I CONTACTED HONDA OF NORTH AMERICA AND WAS ADVISED TO SEE MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP (HALL HONDA). AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT "TOUCH" SOMETHING THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN REPLACED. I THEN CALLED HONDA NORTH AMERICA BACK AND INFORMED THEM OF HALL'S VERDICT. THE SITUATION HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED AT THIS POINT, BUT I WANTED TO REPORT THIS IN CASE THERE MAY BE OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE, THEIR SAFETY MAY BE JEOPARDIZED AS WELL.

THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND METAL FRAGMENTS STRUCK THE CONTACT'S FACE. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V061000 (AIR BAGS) AND WAS AWAITING REPAIRS. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MULTIPLE LACERATIONS TO THE FACE AND CONTUSIONS TO THE CHEST, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. TAKATA RECALL. HAVE CALLED THE DEALER EVERY THREE WEEKS SINCE MARCH 2016. USUAL RESPONSE "THE PART ISN'T IN STOCK. EXPECT IT TO COME IN SOON." IT IS NOW AUGUST 2016 AND THE RECALL HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED.
There was no incident involved. The airbags on passenger side are not working, according to alert on dash. I inherited this car from my deceased husband who purchased the car in Paramus, NJ. I thought this problem was fixed by the dealer at some point, but evidently was not. The car is now registered in NC, where I live. Thank you for any help you can give me to correct this problem.

HAD TO GET THIS FIXED AS IT IS AN EXTREME SAFETY CONCERN THAT HONDA DID NOT WANT TO INCLUDE FIXING THIS ISSUE IN THERE SETTLEMENT AND NOW MAYBE THE NHTSA MIGHT LOOK INTO THIS THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
