AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT. SEEMS COMMON FOR THESE CRV MODELS
THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN RUNNING ROUGH IN THE HIGHWAY AND ROUGH WHEN IDLING. WE HAVE CHOSEN TO KEEP IT BECAUSE WE HAVE TRUST IN HONDA'S RELIABILITY. FIVE DAYS AGO, THE CAR WAS RUNNING AND THE WHOLE FAMILY WAS IN IT. ALL OF A SUDDEN, ITS ENGINE SOUNDED LIKE 'JUNK' WHICH NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. WE WERE ALL NERVOUS AND CONFUSED AND WE WERE ABOUT 20 MILES AWAY FROM HOME. OUR SAFETY IN THE CAR WAS UNCERTAIN AND THE ROADS GOING HOME HAD VARYING SPEEDS BETWEEN 30 TO 65 MI/HR. WE KNOW TODAY THAT THE ENGINE HAS SEVERE PROBLEM DUE TO HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION WHICH IS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.
EXCESSIVE CORROSION TO THE REAR FRAME AS I LIVE IN MA WITH HIGH SALT USAGE STATE. IN CANADA, TRANSPORT CANADA (EQUIVALENT TO US NHTSA) HAS ALREADY OPENED RECALL BULLETIN 20190250 AS DUE TO THIS EXCESSIVE REAR FRAME CORROSION COULD LEAD TO FRAME STIFFENER PERFORATION AND, IN EXTREME CASES, CAUSE THE REAR-TRAILING ARM TO SEPARATE FROM THE VEHICLE'S FRAME STRUCTURE. A SEPARATED REAR-TRAILING ARM MAY CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO BE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. *TR
Oil consumption is exaggerated with to obvious observed signs, I.e, no visible leaks, no blue smoke from tailpipe, no smell behind vehicle. Oil needs to be added every ~70 miles as per the dipstick. Engine light will illuminate when oil too low. Car running fine otherwise. Is this happening to others? Respectfully, Careful Driver
MY CAR LOCKED FROM THE INSIDE SO I COULD NOT GET OUT OF THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE CAR. I HAD TO CRAWL THROUGH AND EXIT THE PASSENGER SIDE. THEN AFTER LOCKING FROM THE OUTSIDE, I COULD NOT UNLOCK MY CAR AGAIN ON ANY DOOR TO GET BACK IN. I HAD MY CHILD IN THE CAR AND HAD I LOCKED THE DOORS AFTER I GOT OUT BEFORE GETTING HIM OUT, I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET TO HIM.
DURING A FAIRLY LOW SPEED COLLISION (~25 - 30 MPH) THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. HOWEVER, THEY DID NOT FULLY INFLATE. CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS AND TITLE WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY.
THE DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE 2011 HONDA CR-V WHEN HER VEHICLE WAS PUSHED INTO ANOTHER CAR.THE DAUGHTER EXPERIENCED BACK STRAINS AND WHIP LASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE HOME ADDRESS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. NO OTHER PASSENGERS WERE IN THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CRASH OCCURRED OCTOBER 23, 2019.
COMPRESSOR NOT WORKING FOR AIR CONDITIONING .
THE A/C COMPRESSOR AND CONDENSOR HAS KNOWN DEFECTS AND SHOULD BE REPLACE MY HONDA.

WHAT IS THE HONDA COMPANY DOING FOR THIS ISSUE? THERE IS NO WAY WE HAVE 1800.00 TO FIX AN ISSUE THAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW AND HAVE HAD IT TAKEN CARE OF BY A HONDA DEALER. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU CAN HELP GET THIS REPAIRED.
MY AIR CONDITIONING BLOWS HOT AIR MOST OF THE TIME..I'VE HAD IT LOOKED AT TWICE. 2011 HONDA CR-V EXL. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO VEHICLE AIRBAG FAILING TO DEPLOY CAUSING INJURIES. *AS *JS
I AM GETTING A SEAT BELT CODE 27-10 AND 28-10 WHICH I AM TOLD COULD AFFECT THE AIR BAGS GOING OFF.
WHEN BRAKING FOR A STOP LIGHT, THE ENGINE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. EVENTUALLY, IT STOPPED. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIME INTERMITTENTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CHECKED THE OIL AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS NONE IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HERITAGE HONDA BELAIR (1800 BELAIR RD, SUITE A, FALLSTON, MD 21047, (410) 343-5644) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PISTON RINGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
INTERSTATE HIGHWAY DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED 70MPH UP AN INCLINE OR HILLY AREA WOULD CAUSE THE 2011 CRV ENGINE TO HESITATE ACCELERATING, CAUSING A HIGH RPM REV BUT NO SPEED INCREASE, I.E. THE ENGINE WOULD STRUGGLE TO KEEP THE SAME SPEED REQUIRING THE DRIVER TO DRIVE AT LOWER SPEEDS LIKE 60MPH TO AVOID THE EXCESSIVE RPM. THIS POTENTIALLY IS A DANGER TO OTHER VEHICLES ON THE HIGHWAY INTERSTATE. HONDA IS ALREADY AWARE OF THIS AND HAS ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN #10-077 FOR DEALERS TO UPDATE THE PCM PGM-FI SOFTWARE TO THE LATEST VERSION. HOWEVER GIVEN 2011 VEHICLES ARE NO LONGER IN WARRANTY, THE OWNER IS OFTEN FORCED TO PAY DEALERS 1 FULL HOUR OF DIAGNOSTICS FEE INSTEAD OF THE 0.3 HOUR FLAT RATE LABOR OUTLINED IN HONDA'S TSB FOR IN-WARRANTY VEHICLES. *TR

APPOINTMENT TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE FOR RECALL AIRBAG INFLATOR.
I HAD BOTH AIRBAG INFLATORS REPLACED. HOWEVER I RECENTLY RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FROM DEALER SAYING THE PASSENGER BAG NEEDED DOING. I THOUGHT THIS WAS WEIRD, AND CHECKED THE HONDA RECALL SITE, AND IT SAYS "NOTHING NEEDS REPLACING". HOWEVER, TODAY I DOUBLED CHECK WITH THE DEALER, AND THEY SAID THERE WAS A "BULLETIN" ASSOCIATED WITH A POTENTIAL FAULTY INSTALLATION. I HAVE NO IDEA NOW IF THIS IS DEALER [XXX] OR A LEGIT SAFETY CONCERN. PLEASE MAKE SURE HONDA KNOWS ABOUT THIS. VEHICLE SHUDDERS AND RPM JUMPS ERRACTICALLY AT APPROXIMATELY 25MPH AND 42MPH
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V061000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. ADVANTAGE HONDA (1260 NORTHERN BLVD, MANHASSET, NY) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION WITH A 2015 DODGE RAM 1500. THE HONDA CRV COLLIDED WITH THE BACK OF THE PARKED DODGE RAM GOING ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR. DRIVER BRAKED HARD 15 TO 20 FEET BEFORE IMPACT. AFTER IMPACT THE CAR SMELLED LIKE GUN POWDER BUT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON A FOUR-LANE ROAD, 127TH AND HOMAN IN BLUE ISLAND ILLINOIS.
UPON TAKING THIS VEHICLE IN FOR ITS 90,000 MILE MAINTENANCE SERVICE, THE HONDA CERTIFIED MECHANICS INFORMED US THAT THE POWER STEERING RACK WAS LEAKING FLUID AND WOULD NOT PASS NEW YORK STATE SAFETY INSPECTION. THE EXACT MILEAGE OF THE CAR WAS AT 91653. WE HAD TO REPLACE THE RACK SYSTEM AT A COST TO US OF OVER $1,000.00. THIS SYSTEM FAILURE SHOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED AT THIS STAGE OF THE CAR'S LIFE. I WOULD LIKE AN INVESTIGATION INITIATED TO SEE IF A RECALL IS WARRANTED. SOME ONLINE RESEARCH HAS SHOWN ME THAT OTHER 2011 CRV OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
TAMARA RECALL MY CAR HAS STARTED BURNING OIL AT ABOUT 82,000 MILES. I AM PUTTING A QUART IN ABOUT EVERY 1500 MILES. IT SEAMS LIKE IT IS GRADUALLY BURNING MORE OIL I JUST HAD TO ADD 2 QUARTS AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME ADDING BETWEEN ITS LAST OILS CHANGE. I HAVE OIL CHANGED AT DEALERSHIP EVERY 4-5 THOUSAND MILES. I HAVE SEEN THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR CARS BUT MINE HAS NOT FALLEN UNDER ANY RECALLS I AM WONDERING WHY? THIS CAR IS IN MICHIGAN I WARM THE ENGINE UP BEFORE DRIVING. I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN AND LOOKED AT IT IS NOT LEAKING OIL IT IS BURNING IT.

OR WOULD ENGINE WOULD NEARLY DIE GOING UP HILLS WITH AC RADIO ON, AND LATTERLY CHUGGED UP HILL THIS IS RELATED TO THE GEAR NOT SHIFTING. THIS IS A TERRIBLE FEELING GOING UP HILL WITH NOTHING BUT TWO PASSENGERS AND NO LOAD 3. SEATS MEMORY FOAM FAILS AND FLATTENS OUT , NEARLY 96000 MILES 4. SEAT BELTS FRAY IN TIME, 5. SEAT BELTS WON'T RETRACT WELL , ESPECIALLY ON DRIVERS SIDE 6. TIRES ROUTINELY HAVE OUTSIDE WEAR, EVEN WITH ROTATION THROUGH DISCOUNT TIRE WHERE THEY CROSS ROTATE. THEY ARE BETTER THAN DEALER 7. HONDA CRV 2011 UNWANTED ACCELERATION ON MARCH 22 2018 AS I WAS COMING TO A STOP SIGN WENT FLYING IN TO TRAFFIC GOT LUCKY NOTHING COMING. AGAIN ON SAT 24 WHEN I STARTED MY CRV IN PARK KEPT PUSHING BRAKE THEN GAS AT SLOWED DOWN SO I COULD ,BUT STILL HIGH IDLE.
DOOR LOCK ACUATOR. DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK RAPIDLY WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.
ON MARCH 11, 2018 I BACKED INTO MY DRIVEWAY, TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND PARKED NEXT TO MY PORCH. BEFORE GOING INTO THE HOUSE, MY GRANDSON TOLD ME TO LOOK AT THE CAR WHICH WAS SMOKING UNDER THE HOOD. WITHIN SECONDS THE SMOKE TURNED DARK GRAY. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED IN 3 MINUTES. I COULD SEE FIRE UNDERNEATH THE ENGINE ON THE BOTTOM AT THE DRIVEWAY. THE FRONT DOOR WINDOWS WERE BUSTED TO PUT OUT THE FIRE ON THE DASHBOARD, TOO.
PARKED CAR IN PARKING LOT AND CAME BACK AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS AND NOTICED ALL CAR DOORS WERE NOT UNLOCKING EITHER AUTOMATICALLY OR MANUALLY. AFTER, COUPLE OF HOURS OF CONTINUOUSLY TRYING TO GET IT UNLOCKED I GAVE UP AND LEFT MY CAR IN THE PARKING LOT AND IS STILL PRESENT THERE. I GAVE A CALL TO HONDA DEALER AND THEY REFUSED TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE WITHOUT INSPECTING IT. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE EARLY DECEMBER 2016 AND WAS TOLD I WILL BE UNDER WARRANTY FOR 36 MONTHS OR 100,000 MILES IN THE AMOUNT $2500. AFTER, ARGUING WITH THE DEALER THEY TOLD ME I AM NOT COVERED AND SHOULD CONTACT 3RD PART WARRANTY COMPANY DIRECTLY AND TOLD ME IT EXPIRED 11 MONTH AFTER DATE OF PURCHASE WHICH WAS NOT STATED TO ME WHEN BUYING THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE GOD FORBID IF I WAS IN A ACCIDENT AND THIS ISSUE OCCURRED WHO WOULD HELP ME GET OUT OR IF I LEFT MY KIDS IN THE CAR.
I WAS ACCELERATING FROM AN ON RAMP TO ENTER THE HIGHWAY. AFTER I WAS IN THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC, I HIT MY BRAKES TO KEEP PACE WITH THE TRAFFIC. MY BRAKE PEDAL WOULD ONLY MOVE SLIGHTLY AND THE ENGINE WAS REVING. I MOVED THE SHIFTER TO NEUTRAL AND THE ENGINE WAS STILL REVVING. I THEN HIT THE BUTTON ON THE SIDE OF THE GEAR SHIFT TO PUT THE CAR IN D3 AND CONTINUE TO TRY THE BRAKES. THE BRAKES FINALLY STARTED WORKING I PUT ON MY 4 WAY FLASHERS AND MOVED TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK. AS I SAT THERE I KEPT TESTING THE BRAKES TO INSURE THE PEDAL WOULD MOVE TOWARD THE FLOOR AND KEPT REVVING THE ENGINE TO BE SURE IT WOULD SLOW DOWN WHEN I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE GAS. I DID CALL THE LOCAL HONDA SERVICE CENTER AND THEY SAID UNLESS THEY WERE ABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM, THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SAY WHAT THE CAUSE WAS. THEY DID ASK IF I HAD FLOOR MATS. I DO HAVE FLOOR MAT, BUT I DO CHECK THEM TO BE SURE THEY ARE PULLED BACK AND NOT UNDER THE PEDALS.
TAKATA RIECALL--NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET! THAT'S THE PROBLEM . I USED TO BE ABLE TO ENJOY MY CAR AND I REALLY LIKED DRIVING IT. NOW, BECAUSE I HAVE RECEIVED THESE RECALL NOTICES FROM THE DEALOR AND OTHER AGENCIES, I HAVE BEEN EXPECTING PREMATURE EXPANSIONS OR A FAILURE OF IT TO EXPAND WHEN NEEDED. THIS HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING FOR ME AND NOW I SEE I'M NOT EVEN ON THE LIST. IF YOU THINK I SHOULD CONSIDER MYSELF LUCKY THEN YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE FEELING OF DRIVING A CAR AT ALL. I'VE BEEN STRIPPED OF THAT FUNDAMENTAL EXCITEMENT OF MY NEW (USED) CAR AND NOW I'M EXPOSED EVERYDAY TO THE UNCERTAINTY OF GETTING SAFELY TO MY DESTINATION OR WORSE YET, HURTING SOMEBODY ELSE DUE TO FAULTY EQUIPMENT! WHAT A TRAGEDY THIS HAS BECOME FOR EVERYBODY INVOLVED BUT PLEASE CONSIDER THE EMOTIONAL LOSS I HAVE SUSTAINED NOT COUNTING THE FINANCIAL BURDEN FROM LOSS OF SERVICES I EXPECTED AND PAID FOR IN GOOD FAITH. I DIDN'T PAY 20 THOUSAND DOLLARS TO BECOME A NERVOUS WRECK FROM THE THOUGHTS OF HAVING A WRECK!
LIBERTY HONDA IS REFUSING TO PERFORM WORK UNDER A WARRANTY EXTENSION NOTICE TITLED "STICKING PISTON RINGS RESULTING IN HIGH ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION." I RECEIVED THE NOTICE IN AUGUST OF 2015. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE RUNAROUND BY LIBERTY HONDA EMPLOYEES OVER AND OVER ABOUT WHY THEY WON'T FIX THE PROBLEM. DESPITE PROVEN OIL LOSS, AND A LIT UP OIL LIGHT LIBERTY HONDA SERVICE CREW CONTINUES TO FABRICATE REASONS WHY THEY CANNOT PERFORM THE WORK IN THE WARRANTY EXTENSION. TODAY, THE SERVICE MANAGER LUIS/LOUIS WAS VERY UNSYMPATHETIC TO MY 2-YEAR LONG ORDEA. HE SAID, " YOU HAVEN'T DEALT WITH ME YET" WHICH NOT ONLY SOUNDED LIKE A THREAT, BUT ALSO SOUNDED LIKE CODE FOR: "I'M JUST GOING TO PUT YOU THROUGH MORE NEVER-ENDING TESTS AND NOT FIX THE PROBLEM." THAT PROVED TRUE. DESPITE A SVC REP NAMED SHANICE ARCE PROMISING ME (ON 10/26/17) THAT THEY WOULD IMPLEMENT THE WARRANTYEXT/PISON RING FIX, THIS PROVED TO BE ANOTHER LIE. WHEN I CONTACTED THEM TODAY, AFTER DRIVING ANOTHER 1,000 - PER LIBERTY'S NEVERENDING TEST DEMANDS, LIBERTY HONDA'S SERVICE DEPT. ONCE AGAIN TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO UNDERGO MORE TESTS. IT NEVER ENDS! WHEN PROBLEMS SURFACE PERTAINING TO OIL CONSUMPTION, LIBERTY'S SERVICE PEOPLE ALWAYS COME UP WITH AN EXCUSE WHY THEY WON'T DO THE WORK REQUIRED UNDER THE STICKING RING WARRANTY EXTENSION. ON 7/13/17, ANOTHER SVC REP (IN A VERY PERFUNCTORY, UNFRIENDLY MANNER - WISH I HAD HIS NAME) TOLD ME THAT LIBERTY WOULD NOT PERFORM THE WORK - EVEN THOUGH MY CRV WAS AT LEAST TWO QTS DOWN. ADDITIONALLY, THEY SEEM TO BE BRINGING ME IN JUST TO CHARGE ME FOR SOMETHING ELSE. I'VE HAD TO NEEDLESSLY TAKE OFF TIME FROM WORK FOR LIBERTY'S RUNAROUND. AND THEIR SHUTTLE SERVICE ONCE DID NOT PICK UP ME UP AT THE END OF THE DAYHTTPS://WWW-ODI.NHTSA.DOT.GOV/VEHICLECOMPLAINT/# - - UNTIL I SPOKE WITH SALES 2 HOURS LATER (8PM).
THE DESIGN OF THE HEADLIGHTS DO NOT ALLOW VISIBILITY ON THE ROADWAY AT NIGHT MORE THAN ABOUT 150 FEET. I HAVE CHANGED BULBS SEVERAL TIMES BUT THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM. THE CR-V HOUSING CONFIGURATION DOES NOT ALLOW LIGHTING TO BE ADJUSTED FOR ANY DISTANCE. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED IN FORUMS ALL OVER THE INTERNET FOR YEARS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. (JUST GOOGLE "HONDA CR-V HEADLIGHT PROBLEM") I OWN A TUNDRA TRUCK, AND A FORD ESCAPE, AND THE LIGHTING GOING DOWN MY ALLEY AT NIGHT IS PERFECT, BUT WHEN I MAKE THE SAME DRIVE DOWN THE ALLEY WITH THE HONDA CR-V, I CAN ONLY SEE 3 HOUSES IN FRONT OF ME! FOR YEARS I HAVE REFUSED TO DRIVE THIS CAR AT NIGHT, AND IT IS ABOUT TIME THAT HONDA REMEDY THE HEADLIGHT DESIGN SO THAT ONE CAN DRIVE THIS CAR SAFELY. I WISH I COULD PROVE THIS SIMPLE FACT TO SOMEONE, BUT NO ONE AT HONDA WILL TAKE ME UP ON THIS SIMPLE TEST TO PROVE THERE IS SOMETHING DRASTICALLY WRONG WITH THE HEADLIGHT DESIGN. IT IS ENTIRELY THE DESIGN OF THE HEADLIGHTS. PLEASE, THIS IS A LEGITIMATE AND REAL SAFETY HAZARD, AND IT IS SOMETHING HONDA HAS BEEN IGNORING FOR YEARS ON SEVERAL OF THE CR-V YEAR MODELS. VERY EARLY FAILURE OF POWER STEERING RACK AND PINION. THE DEALER/HONDA DID NOT PROVIDE A BETTER MECHANISM TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUE. I THINK HONDA POWER STEERING IS A VERY DEFECTIVE PART THAT THEY ARE SELLING TO CUSTOMERS AND CHARGING HEFTY DOLLARS $1750 TO REPAIR AT THE CUSTOMER'S EXPENSE.

I HAVE A HONDA CR-V 2011. IN OCTOBER OF 2016 I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE OIL LIGHT HAD COME ON. THEY TOLD ME MY CAR WAS 4 1/2 QUARTS LOW. THEY TOLD ME TO COME BACK AFTER A BIT AND HAVE THEM CHECK THE OIL AGAIN. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK THEY TOLD ME MY CAR WAS USING OIL WITH NO LEAKS. THEY HAVE TWO OPTIONS TO REBUILD EXISTING MOTOR WITH NEW PISTONS AND RINGS OR A REBUILT MOTOR. I HAVE TALKED WITH MIKE WHO IS A REP FROM HONDA. HE HAS TOLD ME THAT I AM OUT OF WARRANTY AND THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR MY VIN NUMBER. I CAME ACROSS A RECALL FROM AN ARTICLE IN CONSUMER REPORTS BACK IN 2015. THIS ARTICLE DESCRIBES EXACTLY WHAT MY CAR IS DOING AND SAYS HONDA IS EXTENDING THE WARRANTY FOR EIGHT YEARS OR 125,000 MILES FROM THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW IN NOVEMBER OF 2011. IT HAS 85,000 MILES ON IT. THIS ARTICLE ALSO SITES HONDA SERVICE BULLETIN 12-089 FOR CR-VS (12-087 FOR ACCORD).
WAS TOLD BY HONDA THAT THE POWER STEERING RAKE IS LEAKING AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED OR CAR COULD LOSE POWER STEERING.
WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM BUYING MY CAR FROM A DEALER IT STARTED MAKING A SOUND LIKE IT WAS GOING OVER A REALLY LOUD RUMBLE STRIP AND IT SHAKES THE STEERING WHEEL AND CAN BE FELT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN SEPTEMBER 2017 AND TO DATE 4/22/2018 I HAVE HAD IT BACK TO THE DEALER 6 TIMES WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS JUST TRYING TO SHIFT BETWEEN GEARS OR THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. IT DOSE NOT DO IT ALL THE TIME SO I DONT KNOW IT THEY HAVE HEARD IT OR NOT THEY HAVE ONLY LET ME GO ON ONE TEST DRIVE WITH THEM. THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT STOP IS TO SPEED UP OR SLOW DOWN. THIS ISNT SAFE AT ALL. IT WILL HAPPEN ON ALL ROAD SURFACES SO IT'S NOT JUST THE TYPE OF ROAD I AM DRIVING ON.
THE LOCKS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE PASSENGER'S DOOR AND THE BACK HATCH HAVE SEIZED. I CONTACTED HONDA REGARDING THEIR CAMPAIGN TO REPLACE FAULTY ACTUATORS AND WAS TOLD ALTHOUGH MY MODEL AND YEAR DOES FALL WITHIN THE WARRANTY EXTENSION, MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CAMPAIGN. MY PROBLEM IS CONSISTENT WITH THE COMPLAINTS LEADING TO THE SETTLEMENT AND SUBSEQUENT CAMPAIGN. I WAS TOLD BY ONE REPRESENTATIVE THAT UNFORTUNATELY MY NEIGHBOR WITH SAME MAKE/MODEL MAY BE INCLUDED IN THE CAMPAIGN, AS IF IT WAS SOME SORT OF LOTTERY. THE LOCKS SEIZED WHEN I STARTED THE CAR AND MY CHILDREN WERE IN THE BACK SEAT, POSING A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY THREAT.
I DROVE WITH MY HUSBAND TO A GROCERY STORE. AFTER STOPPING THE CAR IN THE PARKING LOT AND TURNING OFF THE ENGINE, I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR. WE WERE ABLE TO OPEN THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, SO I SLID OUT OVER TO THAT SIDE AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. WE LOCKED THE CAR AND WENT INTO THE STORE. WHEN WE RETURNED TO THE CAR, NONE OF THE DOORS WOULD OPEN. I WENT BACK INTO THE STORE TO CALL AAA WHILE MY HUSBAND CONTINUED TRYING TO GET THE DOORS OPEN. HE WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO UNLOCK A PASSENGER DOOR, SO I ENTERED ON THAT SIDE, SLID OVER TO THE DRIVER SEAT, STARTED THE CAR AND DROVE HOME. THIS WAS ON SUNDAY 8/20/2017. ON MONDAY WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE HONDA DEALER TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM FIXED. AGAIN, THE DRIVER'S DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN. WE WENT INSIDE TO TALK TO THE DESK PEOPLE. THE HONDA SERVICE MAN WANTED TO SEE THIS FOR HIMSELF, SO HE TOOK A KEY OUT TO THE CAR AND STARTED TRYING TO LOCK AND UNLOCK DOORS. HE ENDED UP GETTING ALL THE DOORS LOCKED AND NONE WOULD OPEN. THE HONDA PEOPLE WORKED ON THE CAR. THEY WERE EVENTUALLY ABLE TO GET A PASSENGER SIDE DOOR OPEN, BUT COULD NOT GET THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR OPEN UNTIL THEY REMOVED THAT DOOR PANEL WHILE WORKING ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. THE GOT IT FIXED. THEIR "LABOR AND PARTS" DESCRIPTION SAYS "DRIVER DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURE." THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. FORTUNATELY WE WERE NOT LOCKED INSIDE THE CAR, LIKE WE WERE ON 8/6/2015 (SEE COMPLAINT NUMBER 11018955).
The oil consumption of this vehicle is extremely high and has progressively gotten worse to the point it has become undrivable. I have to put oil in every other day. It's completely not okay to make and sell faulty vehicles

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V061000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER (RHINELANDER HONDA, 1737 N STEVENS ST, RHINELANDER, WI 54501) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CLOCKSPRING FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED AND THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT RELATED TO THE AIR BAG INFLATOR REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 137,000.
THE LEFT REAR DOOR AND THE TRUNK OF MY HONDA CRV 2011 WON'T OPEN ANYMORE. THEY ARE COMPLETELY LOCKED DESPITE TRYING MULTIPLE TIMES TO UNLOCK THEM MANUALLY.

IT WAS A LEASED VEHICLE BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. I HAVE NOTICED SINCE OWNING IT THAT IT CONSUMES OIL. I HAVE BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCHING ON THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE FOUND OUT THAT HONDA MOTORS HAVE BEEN REPORTED WITH THIS SUCH PROBLEM. MY QUESTION TO HONDA; 1.HOW LONG IS THIS WARRANTY ON MY VEHICLE FOR MOTOR AND DRIVETRAIN? 2.HOW DO I PROVE THAT IT CONSUMES OIL, SINCE I HAVE NO PRIOR RECORDS OF SERVICE FROM THE PAST? I HAVE ALWAYS WORKED MY OWN VEHICLES SINCE I WAS 16 YEARS OLD. I HAVE 42 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH MAINTENANCE OF VEHICLES. I HAVE PROOF THAT IT CONSUMES OIL, AS I HAVE BEEN DOCUMENTING IT MYSELF. IT IS (1) QUART OF OIL DOWN IN 500 MILES SINCE I JUST CHANGED IT. I USUALLY HAVE TO ADD (3) QUARTS BEFORE MY OIL CHANGE IS EVEN AT 50% LIFE LEFT ON THE OIL LIFE MAINTENANCE DISPLAY ON THE DASH. I END UP CHANGING THE OIL EARLY, (BEFORE 3000 MILES OR 0% OIL LIFE) OF RECOMMENDED SCHEDULE OIL CHANGE. I USE QUALITY VALVOLINE OR MOBIL 1 OIL, SAE 0 ? 20W FULL SYNTHETIC OIL. I ALSO USE FRAN OIL FILTERS PH7317. I DON'T USE CHEAP OIL, OIL FILTERS, AIR FILTERS OR INFERIOR PRODUCTS IN MY VEHICLES. THE SAME GOES FOR MY HARLEY DAVIDSON.
