VEHICLE IN MOTION IN ALL ACCOUNTS. TPMS WARNING LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY ON AND OFF SIGNALING FAULTY TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM. CENTRAL COMPUTER REPLACED. AGAIN TPMS WARNING LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY CAME ON AND OFF. 3 WHEEL SENSORS SUBSEQUENTLY REPLACED. AGAIN TPMS WARNING LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY CAME ON AND OFF. TOLD BY DEALER THERE IS SIGNAL OF FAILURE TO TRANSMIT TO REAR SENSORS IN HISTORY - HOWEVER SYSTEM FUNCTIONING NORMALLY AT THIS TIME AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO NOW. THEY RECOMMENDED NOT PLUGGING ANY PHONE CHARGERS OR ANYTHING ELSE INTO THE CAR POWER JACKS THAT COULD CAUSE INTERFERENCE. THIS SOUNDS LIKE OVERALL FAULTY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO ME.
WHEN STARTING VEHICLE CAR TURNS ON WITH NO PROBLEM SOMETIMES AND WILL RUN WITH LITTLE TO NO PROBLEM. WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN VEHICLE BEGINS TO LOSE POWER AND ALL LIGHTS ON INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS UP CAR SHUTS OFF. THIS CAN HAPPEN RANDOMLY AT ANY GIVEN TIME, WEATHER CONDITION, SPEED, PARKING OR PULLING OUT OF PARKING SPACE ON THE HIGHWAY OR MULTI-LANE STREETS WITHIN CITY LIMITS; AND OR ONE-WAY STREETS, BACK ROADS OR COUNTRY ROADS WITH INCLINES AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS OR NOT. INCIDENTS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING SINCE MARCH 15, 2017, APRIL 2, APRIL 15, APRIL 18, APRIL 20, MAY 2, MAY 4, 2017. ALL MAINTENANCE WORK DONE ON VEHICLE WAS DONE BY HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE PURCHASED. ALL INSPECTIONS INCLUDING MAY 2017 INSPECTION HAVE RECEIVED PASSING GRADES, DONE BY HONDA DEALERSHIP AS WELL. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP TWICE AND WAS INFORMED THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS NOT DONE BECAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD NEED TO BE ON AND SHUT OFF NEEDED TO OCCUR WHILE AT DEALERSHIPS SERVICE CENTERS. CAR WAS PURCHASED APRIL OF 2015 AS A PRE-OWNED / PRE-CERTIFIED VEHICLE. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY FOR POWER TRAIN WILL END NOVEMBER 2017. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES HAVE ENDED.
TAKATA RECALL - I THINK THAT THE PROPER INFLATORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED IN MY CR-V BUT I'M STILL GETTING RECALL NOTICES. I HAD THE WORK PERFORMED AT SYLACAUGA HONDA (256-245-5000). TWO DIFFERENT TRIPS BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY. WHEN I CALL THEM I JUST GET THE RUN AROUND. HOW CAN I TELL IF THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED?
1. AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHANGED @ THE SAME TIME! WHEN TAKATA'S DANGEROUS AIRBAGS WERE DISCOVERED THEY BITH SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED & REPLACED IMMEDIATELY! INSTEAD MY FAMILY HAS BEEN @ RISK FOR FAR TOO LONG! I BOUGHT MY HONDA CRV EX-L BRAND NEW! I'VE BEEN DRIVING IN A DEATH TRAP EVER SINCE! WHY WAS HONDA NOT REQUIRED TO CHANGE BOTH AIRBAGS? 2. I'VE READ MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON THE AC COMPRESSOR/CLUTCH'S THAT HONDA HAS KNOWN (FOR 10 YEARS) WERE DANGEROUSLY PLACED, CREATE MALFUNCTION OF COSTLY AC SYSTEMS, (CHILDREN DIE IN HOT CARS FAR TOO OFTEN) FROM HEAT STROKES, ETC. AS POSTED ON YOUR WEBSITE! THE AC/COMPRESSORS PICK UP HAZARDOUS MATERIALS/WASTE THAT IS THEN PUSHED THROUGHOUT THE AC UNIT! AIRPORT HONDA HAS HAD KNOWLEDGE BEFORE MY WARRANTY EXPIRED OF THIS PROBLEM IN CRV'S. THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE THIS COSTLY ISSUE, NEGLECTED TO FIX IT, & IT DID MALFUNCTION. I PAID FOR COSTLY REPAIRS, & I PAID HONDA FOR A PLATINUM VEHICLE WARRANTY! I'M CONCERNED THAT NHTSA HAS NOT HELD HONDA RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS STATING IT'S NOT SAFETY ISSUE WHEN IT VERY CLEARLY IS! AS A NURSE & PARENT I PUT MY CHILD IN A CARSEAT WHICH AUTOMATICALLY INCREASES HIS TEMPERATURE. THEN YOU ADD AC ISSUES IN TN RECORD HEAT & HUMIDITY (WHICH ALSO AFFECTS THE AIRBAGS) & IT'S A DEADLY COMBINATION! THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE,& IT IS NHTSA'S RESPONSIBILITY TO HOLD HONDA ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR CHOICES NOT INFORM THEIR CUSTOMERS & CONTINUE PUTTING THEM IN DANGER. TN IS KNOWN FOR BRUTAL HEAT, HUMIDITY, ASTHMA, & ALLERGENS! THIS IS A PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE MY PAPERWORK TO LEGITIMIZE MY CLAIM! INVESTIGATE THIS, MAKE HONDA NOTIFY CUSTOMERS! TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. WHILE IN TRAFFIC, THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. IN ADDITION, WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT AND ATTEMPTING TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FLOW HONDA (2600 PETERS CREEK PKWY, WINSTON-SALEM, NC 27127, (336) 785-3380) WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WAS COMPLETED, BUT NO FAILURE CODE WAS FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
TAKATA RECALL DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. SINCE REPLACEMENT I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE DASH WARNING LIGHTS INDICATE THAT THE BAGS ARE NOT WORKING AND THE SIDE AIR BAGS ALSO ARE NOT WORKING, THESE WARNINGS HAPPEN EVERY TIME I START THE CAR! I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE LOCAL DEALER (THE ONE THAT REPLACED BOTH BAGS) AND PAID AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE CHECKED. AT THAT TIME I ALSO MENTIONED MY COMPLAINT FROM PURCHASE THAT THE IGNITION KEY GETS VERY HOT AND THAT THE AUTO BATTERY MUST BE REPLACED EVERY TWO YEARS! THEIR RESPONSE WAS THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG OR UNUSUAL! THE AUTO HAD 34849 MILES ON THE ODOMETER AT THE TIME (2/13/17) AND CONTIUES TO DATE!
RODENTS CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO MY CAR CAUSING OVER $4,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO MY CAR. MY INSURANCE COVERED MOST OF THE COST AND I ONLY HAD TO PAY $500 DEDUCTIBLE. RODENTS ALSO CAUSED DAMAGE TO MY HOME WHICH WAS ALSO VERY EXPENSIVE. I HAD TO HAVE MY ATTIC INSULATION REPLACED, MY DISHWASHER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND NUMEROUS KITCHEN PLUMBING PROBLEMS.
LETTER FROM CONGRESSMAN SCHIFF ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE 2011 HONDA CRV AIRBAG EXPLODED TOTALING HER CAR. *LD THE CONSUMER THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN AUGUST OF 2016 FOR THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS. THE RECALL REQUESTED FOR THE CONSUMER TO RETURN A POST CARD THEN THE DEALER WOULD SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE DEALER NEVER RESPONDED WITH A DATE AND TIME. THE AIRBAG EXPLODED ON FEB 2, 2017, WITHOUT A REASON CAUSING BRIGHT COLORED BRUISING ON THE CONSUMERS ARMS AND CHEST, AND A BROKEN HAND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO PULL THE SRS CODES FROM THE VEHICLE RENDERING, THE CONSUMER UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE INSURANCE CLAIM. *JS

I HAVE NOTICED THE STEERING BECOMING MORE AND MORE STIFF. IT WILL NOT RETURN TO THE STRAIGHT POSITION UNLESS YOU FORCEFULLY TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS OCCURS WHILE IN MOTION ON HIGHWAYS OR CITY STREETS.
RODENTS ATE WIRE AND SPLIT HARNESS.
AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS HAVE FAILED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. ALL 4 DOORS ARE AFFECTED AT DIFFERENT TIMES, BUT DEALER COULD ONLY REPLICATE ONE DOOR FAILURE. I AM REPORTING ONLY THE MOST RECENT FAILURE DATE BUT THIS HAS BEEN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM FOR 3 YEARS.
THIS CAR HAS KILLED 6 BATTERIES IN 5 YEARS. THE DEALER JUST KEEPS SAYING EVERYTHING IS FINE, BUT IT FREQUENTLY NEEDS JUMP STARTS AND BATTERY REPLACEMENTS. THERE IS NO PATTERN AS TO WEATHER CONDITIONS, JUST FREQUENT FAILURES AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF YEAR. I AM REPORTING THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE, BUT IT HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES IN 5 YEARS. MY SON HAS BEEN STRANDED MANY TIMES.

VIPER 4105 REMOTE START SYSTEM INSTALLED 11/19/2013 BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER (WAXWERKS INDIANAPOLIS, IN). OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS THE STARTER WAS USED SPORADICALLY AND THE SYSTEM WAS RE-PROGRAMED TWICE WHEN MALFUNCTIONING. ON 11/07/2016 THE REMOTE START FUNCTION WAS TESTED IN ANTICIPATION OF COLDER WEATHER AND WORKED AS REQUIRED. ON 11/08/2016 AFTER BEING DRIVEN TO THE LOCAL LIBRARY AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTED TO START ON ITS OWN WITH NO ONE INSIDE OR NEAR THE VEHICLE AND THE REMOTE CONTROLS THREE MILES AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE. THE SAME INCIDENT HAPPENED AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES A DAY ON 11/09, 11/10 AND 11/11. IN ALL CASES THE REMOTE CONTROLS WERE NOT IN OR NEAR THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TURNED OFF ACCORDING TO NORMAL PROCEDURE. ON 11/11 WE WENT TO DINNER AND FOLLOWING DINNER WENT TO A LOCAL MUSIC CLUB. WHEN PARKED OUTSIDE THE MUSIC CLUB THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTED TO START THREE TIMES AFTER BEING TURNED OFF AND THE DOORS LOCKED. FOLLOWING THE MUSIC CLUB THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED INTO THE GARAGE AND THE GARAGE DOOR WAS CLOSED. AS WE ENTERED THE HOUSE FROM THE ATTACHED GARAGE THE VEHICLE STARTED AND CONTINUED TO RUN EVEN THOUGH THE KEYS HAD BEEN REMOVED AND THE IGNITION TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS IMMEDIATELY MOVED OUTSIDE THE GARAGE UNTIL THE PROBLEM COULD BE RESOLVED. ON SATURDAY, 11/12 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WAXWERKS (6816 EAST 82ND STREET, INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46250) AND THE VIPER 4105 WAS REMOVED AND THE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM RESTORED TO OME. THE VIPER 410 AND THE TWO REMOTE STARTERS ARE IN MY POSSESSION. IN ALL THE ABOVE CASES THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY ON A CITY STREET OR A PRIVATE PARKING LOT/ DRIVE WAY. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL VIPER DOCUMENTATION AND THE INSTALLATION RECEIPT. WHEN THE VIPER 4205 WAS REMOVED ON 11/12 WAXWERKS DID NOT CHARGE FOR THE LABOR AND DID NOT PROVIDE A RECEIPT. THEY DID RETURN THE ORIGINALLY INSTALLED UNIT TO ME.
2011 HONDA CR-V. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO REPLACEMENT PARTS NOT AVAILABLE TO REPAIR DRIVER FRONT AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL NOTICE. *SMD
THE VTC ACTUATOR IS AN ISSUE ON THIS CAR. THE "RECALL" LISTED FOR THIS VIN IS 36,000 MILES OR 3 YEARS, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. THIS IS CRIMINAL AS NO ONE WILL EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE WITHIN THAT TIME FRAME. IT LETS THE MANUFACTURER OFF THE HOOK. HONDA KNOWS THIS IS AN ISSUE AS IT AFFECTS MANY MAKES AND MODELS OF HONDA CARS (THERE IS EVEN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE FOR THE 2014 HONDA CRV). THE CAR GRINDS AT THE START, SOMETIMES NOT STARTING AT ALL, DUE TO HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION BECAUSE OF THE FAULTY VTC ACTUATOR. THE COST TO REPLACE THIS PART IS $750 AND DOES NOT EVEN SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED THAT THE PROBLEM CAN OFTEN REOCCUR AFTER ANOTHER 10,000 MILES. WE WERE ONCE PLANNING ON STAYING LOYAL HONDA CUSTOMERS, BUT THIS FRAUDULENCE HAS CONVINCED US TO SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER AND TELL EVERYONE WE KNOW TO DO THE SAME. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SLOANE HONDA DEALER LOCATED IN PHILADELPHIA PA, FOR A THIRD OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE LEVELS WERE PERFECT AND DID NOT NEED RINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIAN USED A DIPSTICK AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT SHE NEEDED TO PROVIDE A TWO YEAR HISTORY OF THE OIL CONSUMPTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,102.
REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCK (LEFT SIDE). DOOR WILL NOT LOCK, EITHER MANUALLY OR WITH KEY FOB. MIGHT BE A PROBLEM WITH THE ACTUATOR. REAR DOOR LOCK STARTED MAKING SOME CLICKING NOISES (LIKE IT WAS STUCK) THE PAST MONTH WHEN ALL OTHER DOORS WOULD AUTO-LOCK. NOW IT NO LONGER WORKS AND REMAINS UNLOCKED. THIS IS A HAZARD WITH CHILDREN IN THE BACK.

WHEN I UNLOCK MY CAR WITH THE KEY FOB MY DOOR LOCKS IMMEDIATELY BY ITSELF. MOST RECENTLY MY PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LOCK. WHEN I LOCKED IT WITH THE KEY I WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO STAY LOCKED. HOWEVER WHEN I RETURNED TO UNLOCK MY CAR I WAS LOCKED OUT . NO DOORS WOULD UNLOCK! I HAD TO USE THE KEY FOB AND PUSH UNLOCK WHILE THE KEY WAS INSERTED IN THE LOCK. I CAN HEAR THEM CLICKING RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. THERE WAS S CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT BUT OF COURSE THE DEADLINE TO MAKE A CLAIM WAS NOV OF 2015. MY LOCKS JUST STARTED THIS ISSUE 2WEEKS AGO. YOU WOULD THINK IF IT'S AN ISSUE FOR CERTAIN YEARS AND MODELS THAT HONDA WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT!!

TAKATA RECALL: PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2016. HAVING PREVIOUSLY OWNED A 2007 CRV I WAS AWARE OF THE RECALL AND ADVISED THAT TO UPGRADED VEHICLE WAS UNDER A SIMILAR RECALL. CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN IN A PARKING LOT AND AS THE DRIVER PULLED INTO A PARKING SPACE AND WAS PRESSING ON THE BRAKES, THE CAR BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. HONDA HAS YET TO RECEIVE PARTS TO REPLACE OUR AIRBAGS (AND DID NOT EVEN PLACE AN ORDER FOR THEM UNTIL WE REACHED OUT TO THEM) AND HAS FAILED TO OFFER A LOANER VEHICLE DESPITE THE SERIOUS "INJURY OR DEATH" THAT MAY BE CAUSED BY OUR CONTINUED USE OF OUR VEHICLE. ALSO UPSETTING AND FRUSTRATING IS THE FACT THAT WE HAVE NOT EVEN RECEIVED A RESPONSE AFTER ALERTING OUR LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP MANAGER (JAIME ARREOLA AT HONDA KEYES WOODLAND HILLS) THAT WE HAVE AN UPCOMING CROSS-COUNTRY ROAD TRIP THAT WE MUST TAKE FOR BUSINESS. IN JULY OF 2016 I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WOULD NEED REPAIR. I CALLED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE A FEW WEEKS AGO AND THEY WERE GOING TO CONTACT ME. SO FAR, NO CALL BACK AND NO REPAIRS.DO I NEED TO GET INTO A FRONT END ACCIDENT, WITH INJURIES, TO GET THESE REPAIRED. AFTER I GOT IN MY CAR I READ THE PAPER COPY THAT I SIGNED AND IT STATED THAT 'WHILE THEY WAIT FOR REDESIGNED PARTS TO BECOME AVAILABLE, CUSTOMER HAS ELECTED TO RETAIN POSSESSION OF THEIR CAR AND HAS SIGNED THE 'HONDA TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR RETENTION/STORAGE OWNER INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT' I SAID DOES AGREEMENT MEAN THAT I AM WILLING TO DRIVE MY OWN CAR? HE SAID YES. I SAID IF I FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE OF SAFETY ISSUE WHAT CAN BE DONE. THEN HE SAID YOU CAN GET RENTAL CAR FOR ME. WHY NOT MENTIONED THAT I AM SIGNING AN AGREEMENT ABOUT RECALL FIX AND EXPLAIN IT TO ME? SINCE LAST I WAS THERE ON AUGUST 22ND THEY MIGHT HAVE STOPPED RENTAL CARS FOR RECALL FIX AFTER THAT. WENT THERE FOR RECALL 10/26/2016 I ASKED SAME PERSON RENTAL CAR HONDA STOPPED PROVIDING RENTAL FROM AUGUST 1ST !! I WAS HERE ON AUGUST 22ND FOR MY OIL CHANGE AND THEY SAID YES. WHY NOT CONTACT ME WITHIN SIXTY DAY IF THE PART WAS THERE? WHY FLIP-FLOP ON RENTAL CAR? NOT PROVIDING TRANSPARENT INFORMATION.
