TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE AFTER PARKING IT IN A GARAGE, IT CONTINUED TO RUN WHILE IDLING. AS A RESULT, CARBON MONOXIDE FILLED THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT AND HIS SPOUSE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS ACCIDENTALLY LEFT RUNNING., DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING EQUIPPED WITH PUSH START. UPDATED 11/08/16.*JB
HONDA CR-V 2015 AND OTHER YEARS HAVE VIBRATION CREATED BY THE CVT TRANSMISSION. THE CARS RPM'S DROP AT IDOL AND THE HOLE CAR SHAKES LIKE A 2.0 EARTHQUAKE. THERE ARE APPARENTLY MORE PROBLEMS THAN THIS BUT HONDA IS NOT PUBLICLY ACKNOWLEDGE ING THE PROBLEM. IT'S BEEN RECALLED FOR AN ALLEGED COMPUTER PROBLEM BUT I SUSPECT THEY ARE TRYING OVER COME THE VIBRATION. COVERUP. THEY PUT NEW PUSHINGS IN TO TAMPERED VIBRATION. COVERUP NOW DEALER WANTS CAR BACK TO FIX BUT HONDA DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO REPAIR IT. ENGINEERING BIG MISTAKE.
I HAD MY TIRES ROTATED AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND NOW THE TPMS WILL NOT GO OFF. THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON EVEN AFTER I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE.
THIS CAR HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. I LITERALLY CANNOT KEEP IT RUNNING. HONDA NOW USES SOY BASED WIRING WHICH ATTRACTS RODENTS. I HAVE SEVERAL OTHER CARS IN THE DRIVEWAY PLUS FARM EQUIPMENT. MOWERS, LAWN MOWERS ETC. THE RODENTS TARGET SPECIFICALLY THE HONDA. HAD TO HAVE THE POWER STEERING SUB HARNESS REPLACED TWICE LAST FALL AND WINDSHIELD WASHER TANK, AT 3020 MILES, 4434 MILES, 5045 MILES. FIRST TWO REPAIRS WERE SUB HARNESS. IT NOW IS IN THE SHOP AGAIN FOR LOSS OF POWER STEERING DUE TO RODENT DAMAGE AT 16660 MILES, LOSS OF POWER STEERING SUB HARNESS. I HAD A HONDA CR-V 04 BEFORE THIS ONE AND IT DID NOT GET RODENT DAMAGE. THIS IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO HONDA'S SOY BASED WIRING ..... THEY WILL NOT HONOR ANY CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AT ALL CONCERNING THIS ISSUE. THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR ALL BUT LAUGHED IN MY FACE. THE DEALER NOW DOING THE REPAIRS HAS BEEN VERY RESPECTFUL ALTHOUGH HONDA WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS PROBLEM. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ALSO AS SAFETY ISSUE...... THREE TIMES NOW MY POWER STEERING HAS GONE OUT. LUCKILY I WAS STILL IN MY YARD AND WAS ABLE TO PARK THE CAR SAFELY AND HAVE IT TOWED. I HAVE NOT TRIED TO DRIVE IT ONCE THE STEERING GOES OUT... VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN THE VEHICLE AND I WOULD THINK VERY DANGEROUS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.... CAR WAS IN REVERSE AND MOTION WHEN POWER STEERING LOSS OCCURRED.....
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE COLLIDED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN. THE DETAILS OF WHERE THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK COULD NOT BE PROVIDED. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES, BUT IT WAS UNKNOWN IF MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN FROM THE SCENE AND THEN TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE FRAME RAIL WAS CRUSHED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
THE CRV WAS INVOLVED IN A LARGE ACCIDENT AND THE LEFT FRONT LOWER FRAME RAIL IS CRUSHED FROM A HEAD ON COLLISION. THE LEFT AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY NOR THE SEATBELT LOCK UP CAUSING A MINOR INJURY TO THE DRIVER. HONDA USA WAS CONTACTED BUT REFUSED TO SEND AN ENGINEER TO INSPECT THE CAR.
MY CAR VIBRATES HORRIBLY AT REST WHILE IN GEAR AT A STOP LIGHT, SHAKES SO BAD I HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL. SOMETHING RATTLES UNDER MY TAIL GATE, I HAD IT LOOKED AT, THEY SAID ITS A PARTIAL RECALL THAT HASN'T BEEN FIXED YET. WHEN I BACK UP AND PUT IT IN DRIVE, MY TRANSMISSION GARGLES AND MY CAR SHAKES BEFORE IT GOES. IT CONSTANTLY SHAKES ON THE HIGHWAY, IVE HAD IT REALIGNED AND TIRES BALANCED TWICE IN 3 MONTHS. THIS CAR IS AWFUL.
REAR PASSENGER TIRE SIDE WALL BLOW OUT WHILE CHANGING LANES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PULL INTO A PARKING SPACE. THE FAILURE RESULTED IN UNINTENDED MOVEMENT OF APPROXIMATELY EIGHT FEET AND CRASHED INTO A BUILDING, WHICH SHATTERED THE GLASS DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A COLLISION SHOP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,319. UPDATED 10/18/16*LJ UPDATED 11/17/16*LJ *TR
WHEN BACKING UP OUT OF THE GARAGE ENGINE STALLS. HAVE TO RESTART VEHICLE TO KEEP BACKING UP. VEHICLE HAS 25,000 MILES. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, HONDA DEALER THINKS IT'S NORMAL BECAUSE IT CAN'T RECREATED.
I'M HAVING CONTINUED ISSUES WITH THE ENGINE'S VTC RATTLING AND RANDOM ENGINE SPEEDS. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED ONCE BUT THE RATTLE AHAS RETURNED AND IS WORSE. NO SERVICE LIGHTS ARE PRESENT.

THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH A KEYLESS IGNITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE CAME HOME AND PARKED THE VEHICLE IN HIS GARAGE AND LEFT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HE CAME BACK AFTER ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING, CAUSING THE GARAGE TO BECOME HOT, WITH TEMPERATURE OF ABOUT 110 DEGREES. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 8,000. ...UPDATED 09/20/16 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED HE AUTOMATICALLY LEFT THE VEHICLE RUNNING AND THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE A TIME PERIOD AFTER WHICH THE ENGINE SHUTS OF AUTOMATICALLY. ENGINE STALLS OCCASIONALLY DURING THE PERIOD OF FIRST TEN MINUTES AFTER IT IS TURNED ON.
I USED MY 2015 HONDA CR-V AWD TOURING TO TOW A TRAILER WITH TWO SCOOTERS LOADED. THE TOURING TRIM HAS THE LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM (LKAS) WHICH USES A CAMERA TO READ THE ROAD MARKINGS AND WILL BUMP THE STEERING WHEEL IF THE DRIVER IS GETTING TOO CLOSE TO THE CENTER OR SIDES OF THE ROAD. I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT THE SPEED LIMIT ON A DAY WITH CLEAR WEATHER. WITH LKAS ON, WHEN THE TRAILER WOULD HIT A BUMP THE CRV WOULD OVER-CORRECT THE STEERING BACK AND FORTH CAUSING THE TRAILER TO SWAY AND MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO GET UNDER CONTROL. AT 70 MPH, IT WAS DANGEROUS. I HAD TO KEEP THE LKAS TURNED OFF TO KEEP THE VEHICLE SAFE. WITH LKAS OFF, THE TRAILER PULLED GREAT AND NEVER SWAYED. IT SURPRISED ME THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE WOULD BE VASTLY DIFFERENT WITH THE LKAS SAFETY FEATURE ACTIVATED. THE OWNER'S MANUAL HAS NO WARNINGS ABOUT USING THE LKAS WHILE TOWING IN EITHER THE LKAS SECTION OR THE TOWING SECTION. THE CLOSEST APPLICABLE WARNING IS IF THE CAR IS OVERLOADED THE CAMERA MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SEE THE ROAD MARKINGS. MY TRAILER IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. IT WAS WELL BALANCED SIDE TO SIDE AND FRONT TO BACK. IT WAS NOT OVERLOADING THE HITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS RIDING LEVEL. THE TRAILER AND BIKES WEIGH ABOUT 1,100 LBS. THE VEHICLE IS RATED TO TOW 1,500 LBS. I HAD PREVIOUSLY TOWED A SMALL UTILITY TRAILER WITH SIMILAR RESULTS. IF THE TRAILER OR HOW IT WAS LOADED WAS TO BLAME, I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED TO EXPERIENCE CONTROL ISSUES WHETHER THE LKAS WAS ON OR OFF. I ONLY EXPERIENCED ISSUES WHEN LKAS WAS ON. I HAVE CONTACTED AMERICAN HONDA AND OPENED CASE #04800645.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTER FAILED. THE SEAT HAD TO BE READJUSTED TO CORRECT THE HEIGHT EACH TIME WHEN ENTERING THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
I WENT ALONE TO KOHLS ON ARIZONA AVE. I WAS ALMOST READY TO PARK AND ALMOST AT A STANDSTILL AND READY TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK. I REMEMBER PUTTING MY FOOT ON THE BREAK AND IT SEEMED STUCK AND A FEW SECONDS LATER I RECALL A SURGE OF ACCELERATION AND THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP EVEN AS I ATTEMPTED DESPERATELY TO PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR. THE SURGE OF ENERGY SEEMED TO PULL-STEER MY CAR TO THE RIGHT AND IT HIT A PARKED CAR THAT WAS 3 SPOTS TO THE RIGHT AS THERE WERE NO CARS IN THE EMPTY PARKING SPOTS NEXT TO THIS CAR. MY CAR ALMOST WENT SIDEWAYS AND HIT THE CAR'S FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE AREA AND DAMAGED IT PRETTY BADLY. I WAS NOT ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR DURING THIS ACCIDENT. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS WAS A MALFUNCTION OF THE BRAKE OR SOME OTHER OPERATING SYSTEM. I REVIEWED WITH MY INSURANCE CLAIMS AGENT RE: MY CONCERNS RE: A MALFUNCTION OF THE CAR BREAKS OR SOME OTHER SYSTEM; THEY TOOK CARE OF THE CLAIM BUT DIDN'T PROVIDE ANY GUIDANCE RE: HOW TO PURSUE MY CONCERNS RE; MALFUNCTION: I CALLED AMERICAN HONDA COMPANY ON JUNE 13TH AND FILED A COMPLAINT RE; THE ACCIDENT TO INFORM MY CONCERNS RE: A MALFUNCTION THAT I FEEL CAUSED THIS ACCIDENT. I WAS GIVEN A CASE # 04758407 AND TOLD THAT I WOULD BE ASSIGNED A CASE MANAGER WHO WILL CALL ME WITHIN 24HRS. I WAS CALLED BY STEVEN 310/783-2863 ON 6/14 AND LET ME KNOW HE WAS MY CASE MANAGER. IN SPITE OF MANY CALL TO SET UP AN APT TO HAVE MY CAR EVALUATED, I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A CALL BACK TO COORDINATE A TIME TO GET MY CAR EVALUATED TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY MALFUNCTION DURING THIS ACCIDENT AND EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED W/O A MALFUNCTION AS THE ACCIDENT IS QUITE BIZARRE. I GOOGLED TO SEE IF HONDA CR-V 2015S HAVE HAD ANY BREAK MALFUNCTIONS'I SAW A REPORT THAT HAD SEVERAL INCIDENTS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO MINE IN A PARKING LOT OR NEAR PARKED POSITION.
2015 HONDA CRV FRONT SEAT VIBRATES. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO FIXED IN ACCORDANCE TO TSB 15-046. THE VIBRATIONS IS STILL APPARENT AFTER 20K MILES LATER. WHEN MY CRV IS STOPPED WITH VEHICLE IN GEAR (AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT). I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE TECHNICIAN A MARKING THE ISSUE AS NORMAL VIBRATIONS. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER WAY FOR HONDA NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE POOR ENGINEERING. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THE VIBRATIONS WILL EVENTUALLY LOOSEN UP THE SEAT BOLTS. THERE ARE A FEW VIDEOS OF 2015 HONDA CRV FRONT SEAT VIBRATIONS ON YOUTUBE.
IN EVERY STATEMENT/COMPLAINT AT THE SERVICE CENTER, I ALWAYS STATED THAT THE FRONT SEATS VIBRATE WHEN THE ENGINE IS ON AND IN GEAR. AFTER REVIEWING SB 15-046, THE INITIAL REPAIR IN 2016 WAS FOR DRIVING MODE 1. ON THE SECOND REPAIR IN 2017, THE TECHNICIAN PERFORMED DRIVING MODE 2 REPAIR WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME VIA PHONE OR IN PERSON ABOUT THE REPAIR IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SB 15-046. SB 15-046 STATES, FOR DRIVING MODE 2 UPDATE NOTES: -YOU MUST MAKE SURE THE SERVICE ADVISOR HAS REVIEWED THE CUSTOMER INFORMATION STATEMENT FOR DRIVING MODE 2 WITH THE CUSTOMER BEFORE THE SOFTWARE UPDATE IS PERFORMED. -VERIFY THAT THE SERVICE ADVISOR HAS NOTED ON THE CUSTOMER INFORMATION STATEMENT THAT HE OR SHE HAS REVIEWED THE CUSTOMER INFORMATION STATEMENT FOR DRIVING MODE 2 WITH THE CUSTOMER. -THE NOTED CUSTOMER INFORMATION STATEMENT MUST BE RETAINED FOR FUTURE RECORDS AND ATTACHED TO THE REPAIR ORDER BEFORE DOING THE SOFTWARE UPDATE, AS THIS SOFTWARE MAY HAVE A SMALL IMPACT ON FUEL ECONOMY. ALL OF THE NOTES ON THE SB 15-046 WERE SKIPPED WHEN HONDA OF SERRAMONTE WAS REPAIRING MY CAR. IN THE DIAGNOSIS SECTION ON PAGE 6 OF SB 15-046. 'YOU MUST ONLY PERFORM THE REPAIR BASED ON CUSTOMER CONCERNS.' EVERYTHING PERFORMED ON THE CAR OR COMMENTS FROM THE TECHNICIAN IS RECORD IN THE SERVICE INVOICE. TO THIS DAY, I WAS NEVER INFORMED OF THE DRIVING MODE 2 UPDATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SB 15-046. NOR, DID I SIGN THE CUSTOMER INFORMATION STATEMENT BECAUSE THE SERVICE INVOICE FROM JUL. 1, 2017 DOES NOT MENTION ANY CUSTOMER INFORMATION STATEMENT FROM SB 15-046.

THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED OR EXCLUDED FROM ANY AIR BAG RECALLS. THE CONTACT WAS TO CHECK WITH THE MANUFACTURER TO DETERMINE IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED OR EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. WHEN THIS KEYLESS ENTRY VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, ENGINE CAN BE TURNED OFF AND DRIVER CAN EXIT WITHOUT SHIFTING TO PARK. THE VEHICLE WILL SOUND AN ALARM AND DISPLAY "SHIFT TO PARK" ON ONE OF IT'S SCREENS. HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM MOVING ON ANY FORM OF INCLINE. WE HAVE ALMOST LOST THE CAR THREE TIMES IN PEOPLE'S DRIVEWAYS WITH THIS PROBLEM. YES, THE PREFERRED SOLUTION IS TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE BEFORE EXITING BUT THAT IS NOT A REAL-WORLD SOLUTION FOR FLAT-LANDERS (THIS SOLUTION IS ONLY USED ON STEEP INCLINES). OUR PREVIOUS IGNITION KEY CAR WOULD NOT LET US REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION WAS PLACED IN PARK. THIS DEFICIENCY COULD EASILY RESULT IN AN OUT-OF-CONTROL RUNAWAY CAR.
LAST YEAR WE LEASED A NEW 2015 HONDA CRV EXPECTING THE SAME QUALITY EXPERIENCE OF OUR PREVIOUS CARS. THE VIBRATION ISSUE THAT EVERYONE IS REPORTING WAS NOTICEABLE THE FIRST DAY OF DRIVING THE CAR AND IT IS HORRIBLE, BUT IT IS ALSO THE LEAST OF MY WORRIES AT THE MOMENT. I HAD THE FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE OF PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE AT A VERY LOW SPEED, BRAKING, AND THE CAR SUDDENLY GOING FORWARD SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. I RAN OVER A SIGN AND HIT A COWORKERS CAR WHILE TRYING TO STOP THE CAR (AS I CIRCLED TO THE LEFT). THE CAR FINALLY STOPPED WHEN I LIFTED MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND BRAKED AGAIN. HAD THE CAR IMMEDIATELY TOWED TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE I GOT IT. ALMOST A MONTH LATER THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO ME AND HONDA REPORTED THEY ALLEGEDLY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. I HAD TO ASSUME THEY WERE RIGHT AND IT MUST HAVE BEEN SOMETHING I DID WRONG BECAUSE I HAD NO PROOF OTHERWISE. RELUCTANTLY I STARTED DRIVING THE CAR AGAIN. WELL THIS PAST WEEK MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE CAR IN VERY SLOW TRAFFIC ON A BACK ROAD AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO HER. SHE STOPPED THE CAR AND THE CAR PROCEEDED TO GO FORWARD EVEN THOUGH HER FOOT WAS FULLY ON THE BRAKE. THIS TIME SHE HIT THE TRAILER HITCH OF THE LARGE CAR IN FRONT OF HER IN LINE. WE CALLED AMERICAN HONDA AGAIN AND STATED WE DO NOT WANT THIS CAR ANY LONGER. WE WOULD EVEN BE WILLING TO TRADE IT FOR ANOTHER MODEL AND YEAR. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT UNLESS WE HAVE "PROOF" THAT THIS IS HAPPENING, THERE IS NOTHING THEY ARE WILLING TO DO. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE TO US! CURRENTLY FEELING BETRAYED BY THE BRAND THAT WE HAVE STOOD BY FOR YEARS, BECAUSE THEY ARE UNWILLING TO REMOVE A POTENTIALLY UNSAFE CAR FROM THE STREETS.
THIS CAR VIBRATES AT LOW IDLE. THE VIBRATION BEGINS TO GET WORSE AS THE CAR WARMS UP. STOPPING AT LIGHTS WHILE DRIVING THROUGH TOWN IS EMBARRASSING, ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE CAR WITH ME. I USUALLY SWITCH THE GEAR INTO NEUTRAL TO AVOID THE SHAKING BUT I'M AFRAID I'LL GET REAR-ENDED ONE DAY IF I FAIL TO START DRIVING FAST ENOUGH

I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE ON AN EMBANKMENT AT APPROXIMATELY 2 MPH, WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR, THE CAR INSTEAD OF STOPPING, ACCELERATED OVER A 2 FOOT WALL ONTO A TWO FOOR PATCH OF GRASS AND OVER THE EDGE OF A 3.5 TO 4 FOOT EMBANKMENT ONTO A SIDEWALK AND THEN A CITY STREET. AS I TURNED THE CAR TO THE RIGHT, AWAY FROM THE ROAD, WHILE CONTINUING TO KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, IT CAME TO A STOP. I WAS LUCKY THAT I DIDN'T GET KILLED OR KILL SOMEONE
I PURCHASED THIS 2015 HONDA CR-V BRAND NEW. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THEY HAVE HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM BUT NO BULLETIN HAS BEEN FORMALLY ISSUED YET. THE PROBLEM CONSISTS OF TWO THINGS BUT BOTH ARE ENGINE RELATED. WHEN AT A STOP AFTER ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS THE ENGINE GETS A ROUGH IDLE ALMOST LIKE YOU THINK AT FIRST IT'S GOING TO DIE, BUT IT DOESN'T IT'S JUST ANNOYING. HOWEVER, HERE IS A REAL PROBLEM. WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, OR AFTER PULLING OUT, CHANGING LANES (REALLY NO SET PATTERN) THE ENGINE (AND ACCELERATION) ARE GONE. IT'S LIKE YOU JUST ARE WITHOUT GO POWER. FINALLY IT CATCHES UP BUT IF YOU HAVE THIS HAPPEN AT THE WRONG TIME IT COULD BE BAD. I HAVE CHANGED LANES AND HAD PLENTY OF SPACE BUT IF YOUR CR-V HAPPENS TO DO THIS IN THE PROCESS THE CLOSING RATE IS MAJOR. THE CAR BEHIND YOU IS ON YOUR BUMPER AND FAST BECAUSE IT'S LIKE YOU JUST STOP ACCELERATING. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NORMAL STREETS, PULLING AWAY FROM STOP SIGN AND GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT'S REALLY BAD IF IT HAPPENS AT THE WRONG PLACE AND AT THE WRONG TIME. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER AGAIN. AND, AGAIN I AM TOLD WE DO NOT SHOW ANYTHING (BULLETIN/RECALL) ON IT TO HAVE A FIX/REPAIR IN PLACE. I BELIEVE HONDA NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE THE ISSUE AND FIND A FIX. BEING THE DEALER HAS HEARD THIS COMPLAINT BEFORE AT LEAST I KNOW I'M NOT ALONE. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM TO BE DISMISSED BECAUSE A MAJOR WRECK COULD BE THE OUTCOME IF IT CONTINUES. THE CONTACT SLOWLY DROVE TO THE END OF THE SLOPE AND WAS ABLE TO STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THREE DIFFERENT DEALERS, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND WAS NOT REMEDIED. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH ON A DIFFERENT DAY, THE ALTERNATOR WENT OUT AND THE BATTERY AND CHECK ENGINE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ANOTHER DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE ALTERNATOR AND DRIVE BELT WERE REPLACED. For a few years now, my 2015 CRV EX has made whinning sounds when driving. At stoplights/stop signs when the vehicle was not in motion, it would shake violently at times. As time has progressed (approx 114000 miles), there is now a grinding and clicking noise that worsens when accelerating. Even in park, the grinding noise has become more noticeable. When going downhill, the gears do not want to change as they should because once I am on level ground, the RPM decreases but does not when car is in motion downhill. At times, my CRV jerks when the transmission finally changes gears. A more noticeable whine/whistling can be heard constantly when my vehicle is in motion. At stop signs/lights, the grinding has become more audible and it shakes to the point of embarrassment. There is a click noise when I start it to let it warm up. As each day passes the symptoms get worse. Additionally, the battery in the 2015 Honda CRV EX must have a bad electrical flaw. I have had consistent battery drainage issues shortly after purchasing it new in 2015. I have had batteries replaced several times. Now, to insure my vehicle will start in the mornings, I have had to disengage the battery terminals overnight and each time I get out of my vehicle. This problem existed basically since I purchased it. There are some serious flaws with this vehicle, and the way it shakes at time along with the straining, clicking, and grinding transmission sounds that something may malfunction and cause me to have an accident while the vehicle is in motion. I have researched where other 2015 Honda CRV EX owners have had the same issues. There is a problem, and these issues need to be addressed to protect drivers and their passengers. As of today, I will never own another Honda. As a driver of the vehicle, when you feel unsafe traveling or wake up to a dead battery that has been drained overnight, the issue should be addressed and cconsumers' concerns should be seriously considered.

DEALERS SAID THEY'VE HEARD THIS COMPLAINT A NUMBER OF TIMES, BUT THET DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION AS HONDA HAS NOT PUT OUT A SERVICE BULLETIN. THESE CRV'S SEEM TO HAVE THIS AND VIBRATION PROBLEMS, BUT EITHER HONDA DENIES IT, OR HAS NO SOLUTION. A CAR STALLING WHEN MAKING A TURN IS DANGEROUS.
THE TPMS TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM IS GIVING FALSE POSITIVE ALARMS WHEN DOWN IN FLORIDA. THE TEMPERATURES ARE HIGHER BUT WHEN CHECKED THE PRESSURES ARE AS SPECIFIED ON DRIVER SIDE DOOR. WHEN RESET IT IS OK FOR A FEW DAYS....THEN A REPEAT. I BELIEVE THE MONITOR IS TOO SENSITIVE TO PRESSURE INCREASES. IF THE PRESSURE IS RIGHT ON AT 72-75 DEGREES IT SHOULD BE WELL WITHIN SPECS AT 85. BOTH PARKED IN HOT LOT AND DRIVING.

TO THE POINT WHERE IT IS IMMEDIATELY OBSERVABLE, DISTRACTING, AND COULD POSSIBLY GIVE ME A HEADACHE ON LONGER STOP-AND-GO TRIPS. CONTACTED HONDA CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY HAD DEALER PERFORM THE APPLICABLE FIXES BUT ISSUE REMAINS. DEALER CLAIMS THEY CAN'T FEEL THE VIBRATION, HOWEVER, THEY AREN'T IN THE CAR AS LONG AS I AM (OR ARE TRYING TO COVER THE PROBLEM). HONDA CLAIMS THEY CAN DO NOTHING ELSE BUT THEY WILL INFORM ME OF ANY FIXES IN THE FUTURE. ALSO MENTIONED THAT I SHOULD REPORT THIS ISSUE ELSEWHERE AS THEY CAN NO LONGER HELP ME AT THIS TIME. PER THEIR SUGGESTION, I'M REPORTING THIS HERE.
I PURCHASED THE 2015 CRV IN FEBRUARY 2016. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEALERSHIP PERSONNEL INSTALLED NEW RADIATOR LOWER CUSHIONS, A NEW TRANSMISSION MOUNT, AND NEW FRONT HEAD RESTRAINTS. THE REPAIRS FAILED TO ELIMINATE THE VIBRATION.AFTER FEW DAYS I AGAIN BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP SERVICE AND THE SERVICE MANAGER ON DUTY TOLD ME THAT WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING MORE THAN THIS AND STATE THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM SO THEY HAVE BEEN OF NO HELP. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM BY HONDA, BUT IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THEY ARE MERELY BRUSHING IT OFF IN HOPES THAT THE COMPLAINTS WILL STOP. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS SAYING THAT CORPORATE PEOPLE ARE WORKING ON IT BUT NO RESULTS I SPENT 25,000 DOLLARS ON THIS VEHICLE AND WOULD EXPECT THE VEHICLE TO RUN GOOD CONDITION

HOWEVER, EVEN AFTER THE SOFTWARE RECALL SERVICES, THE CAR IS STILL HAVING A VIBRATION PROBLEM WHEN BREAK IS APPLIED AT STATIONARY. OUR 2015 HONDA CR-V HAD BEEN SHAKING WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT OR IDLE SINCE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. WE HAD TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND THE ISSUE WASN'T FIXED. APPARENTLY, WE WERE THE FIRST CUSTOMER AT THIS DEALERSHIP TO EXPERIENCE THE SHAKING AND IT WAS PRIOR TO THE RECALL. THEY KEPT TELLING US THERE WASN'T AN ISSUE. I WAS AT A STOP LIGHT WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR, WHICH WAS STOPPED, BUT SHAKING, LUNGED FORWARD AND BUMPED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR MANY YEARS AND I DO NOT TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE AT A STOP LIGHT UNTIL THE LIGHT CHANGES AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME STARTS TO MOVE. I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. IT FELT LIKE THE CAR WAS POSSESSED. WHEN I ARRIVED HOME I DID SOME INTERNET RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAD EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE. HOWEVER, ANOTHER PROBLEM AROSE: AT IDLE, THE ENGINE WOULD VACILLATE BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 750 RPM AND 500 RPM. WHEN AT 500RPM, IT HAD EXTREME VIBRATIONS. RETURNED TO HONDA, AND THEY INSTALLED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR MOUNTS AS PER 112OA2 "REPAIRE PROCEDURE DRIVING MODE1: RADIATOR LOWER CUSHIONS, TR S/B 15-046.. (TRANSMISSION MOTOR MOUNT AND RADIATOR SUPPORTS + HEAD RESTS?) UPON LIFTING THE HOOD, THE ENGINE VIBRATES SO MUCH, I COULD SCRAMBLE EGGS ON IT. IN MY OPINION, ALL THEY DID WAS TO USE MORE FLEXIBLE MOUNTS TO0 TRY AND ELIMINATE THE VIBRATION TRANSFER TO THE FRAME. NOW, IT VIBRATES WHEN SLOWLY ACCELERATING LIKE @ 45 MPH, IT MOMENTARILY SHUDDERS/VIBRATES. SOONER OR LATER, THE ENGINE IS GOING TO FAIL.

THIS AND THERE IS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE VIBRATION AT IDLE EVEN THOUGH TSB 15-046 WAS APPLIED BUT DID NOT FIX VEHICLE VIBRATION.

MY WIFE AND I PURCHASED THE 2015 CR-V EX-L AWD ON JANUARY 5 2016 AT STATEN ISLAND HONDA. AFTER ONLY 11 DAYS AND 300 MILES ON VEHICLE AS WE WERE DRIVING FOR A SKI VACATION I NOTICED A CRACKLING NOISE WHEN I WOULD TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IN EITHER DIRECTION. I THEN NOTICED THAT NONE OF THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS WORKED OR THE RADIO. IN ADDITION TO THIS MY HORN DIDNT WORK AND MY BLUETOOTH WOULD CONSTANTLY SAY (HTC IS OK ) BOTH MY RADIO INTERFACE SCREENS WOULD ALWAYS FLASH DIFFERENT MAINTENANCE MALFUNCTIONS. MY CELLPHONE WOULD ALSO RANDOMLY CONNECT AND MAKE CALLS. THEN AS I WAS DRIVING TO GET GAS OFF THE NJ TURNPIKE MY HORN STARTED TO GO OFF NON STOP AND I HAD TO PULL THE HORN FUSE OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I ALSO NOTICED A VERY STRONG VIBRATION WHEN VEHICLE IS IDLE AND STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AND NOW SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE . OUR VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FROM JANUARY 19-21 AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THEY REPLACED THE FUSES AND THE CABLE REEL AND SAID THE VIBRATION WAS NORMAL. I DID SOME FURTHER RESEARCH AND THERE IS A LAWSUIT AGAINST HONDA IN REGARDS TO THE 2015 CR-V VIBRATION ISSUE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND FEEL THAT I WAS SOLD A $30K LEMON . I HAVE OWNED HONDAS IN THE PAST WITH NO ISSUES BUT AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE AND HONDA BEING AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND STILL SOLD THESE TRUCKS THE COMPANY HAS LOST MY TRUST. WHEN GOING THROUGH MY DOCUMENTS I NOTICED THAT I WAS MISSING ALOT OF PAPERWORK FROM MY SALES CONTRACT AND I BROUGHT IT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE. SO IN ALL I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO STATEN ISLAND HONDA DUE TO THEIR INCOMPETENT SALES STAFF AND I HOPE HONDA RESOLVES ALL OF THESE ISSUES.
I WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION AND WANTED TO TURN OFF THE HEAT. PUSHED THE START BUTTON AND HEAT WAS STILL ON. NOT THINKING AND PUSHED THE START BUTTON AGAIN TO TURN HEAT OFF (THINKING I DIDN'T HIT THE BUTTON CORRECTLY) AND THE MOTOR STOPPED WHILE I WAS THANKFULLY JUST ON A SIDE STREET. HAD TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND WAIT TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK TO START AGAIN. A CAR IN BACK OF ME HAD TO STOP BECAUSE OF MY PROBLEM. A REAL SAFETY ISSUE.
THIS IS MY FAULT FOR ASSUMING AND NOT READING VEHICLE INVOICE OR ASKING SALES PERSON, BUT FOR WHAT PAID AND MODEL AND AREA WE LIVE IN, I FEEL THIS OPTION SHOULD HAVE BEEN STANDARD. NO HEATED OUTSIDE MIRRORS. MAYBE BECAUSE IT HAS THE FEATURE THAT CAN SEE OUTSIDE RIGHT SIDE FROM INSIDE OF CAR ON CONSOLE, REMOTELY??? BUT THIS AREA GETS SNOW AND ICE IN THE WINTER, AND, NO HEATED MIRRORS WILL BE SOMETHING TO GET USED TO; MAYBE A SAFETY ISSUE??? DOUBLE CHECK SO DON'T MISS WHAT WANT, I GUESS.
WHEN CAR IS ON IDLE WITH DRIVE GEAR , THE CAR GETS VIBRATE AND IT GETS WORSE WHEN AIR CONDITION IS TURN ON. THE ISSUE IS VIBRATING AND IT GETS WORSE WHEN TURN AC ON. THE FIRST SERVICE WAS ON 1/7/16 WITH 136 MILAGES AND THE SECOND SERVICE WAS ON 1/19/16 WITH 5400 MILAGES WITH NO RESOLUTION. MUST TURN HEADLIGHTS ON TO ELIMINATE FIBRATION
