PURCHASED HONDA CRV AWD EX MODEL ON SEP 30 WITH CVT TRANSMISSION, AFTER 300 MILES NOW STARTED SEEING ENGINE VIBRATION WHEN IN IDLE OR STOPPED AT SIGNAL, FEEL THE VIBRATIONS ON STEERING WHEEL, DASH BOARD, AND PASSENGER SEAT FEELS VERY DISTURBING. COMPLAINED HONDA BUT NO USE.
THE SENSOR TO CORRECT THE STEERING ENGAGES AND DISENGAGES WHEN IT FEELS LIKE IT. THE DEALER IS ACTING AS IF IT IS WORKING PROPERLY EVEN THOUGH THEIR TECH AND SALESMAN WERE IN THE CAR WITH ME WHEN IT HAPPENED. WHEN I HAD MY 2007, I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE VOLUME BUTTON CHANGING THE RADIO STATION AND THEY SAID THE SAME THING. I LIVED WITH IT FOR 8 YEARS AND JUST FOUND OUT IT WAS A PROBLEM.
VIBRATION AT IDLE AND VERY BAD AT 60 TO 75 MPH.TAKEN IT TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES TO NO SATISFACTION.I HAVE DRIVEN OVER 3 MILLION MILES PROFESSIONALLY AND MANY PERSONAL MILES IN MY 76 YEARS.I HAVE NEVER PURCHASED A KNEW VEHICLE LIKE THIS2015 HONDA CRV.I AM CONCERNED THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.I THINK IT IS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM OR DRIVETRAIN.
THE CAR IS VIBRATING LIKE CRAZY. WE BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AND I CALLED THE SALES PERSON AFTER PURCHASING AND HE TOLD ME THERE ARE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE VIBRATION BUT NOTHING IS WRONG AND THAT IT IS NORMAL. THE VIBRATION IS GETTING WORSE AND AM GETTING SICK OF DRIVING A $30,000 CAR WITH VIBRATION.
I PURCHASE A NEW CRV ON 9/28/15, THE FIRST WEEK DRIVING IT I NOTICE A VIBRATION ON THE FRONT SEAT WHILE THE CAR STOP AT RED LIGHTS, SOMETIMES IT GOT REALLY BAD, I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED TO HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR WITH THIS ANNOYING PROBLEM, I BROUGHT IT BACK TO DEALER ON 11/06/15. THEY TRIED TO TELL ME THAT IT WAS NOTHING, THEY WORK ON IT FOR 13 DAYS, THEY TOLL ME THAT IT WAS A SOFWARE PROBLEM AND THE FUEL ECONOMY MIGHT GET IMPACTED BY THE REPAIR. THE PROBLEM IS BACK, THE VIBRATION GETS VERY ANNOYING AND I AM AFRAID THAT WITH TIME SAFETY WILL BE AN ISSUE. THE GOVERMENT SHOULD ACT IN A PROACTIVE WAY BEFORE DEATHS START HAPPENING . I BELIEVE THE ENGINE IS SEATING IN A WEAK SUPPORT AND HONDA DOES NOT WANT TO ACCEPT THEY HAVE A DEFECTIVE PROBLEM WITH THIS CRV. WHILE TAKING A TRIP IN HIGHWAY I NOTICED THE VIBRATION FELT WORSE, I CHANGE GEAR TO NEUTRAL WHILE WAITING ON RED LIGHT TO CHANGE AND THE VIBRATION STOPPED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH GOING DOWN A HILL, THE CONTACT PLACED THE VEHICLE IN LOW GEAR BUT IT FAILED TO SLOW DOWN. THE VEHICLE KEPT GOING UNTIL THE FULL BRAKE WAS APPLIED. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHO INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND NO FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
I BOUGHT 2015 HONDA CR-V EX JUST 4 WEEK AGO, IT HAS A HUGE VIBRATION THAT YOU CAN FEEL AND SEE INSIDE THE VEHICLE ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS STOP AND IN IDLE MODE OR DRIVE SHIFT. VIBRATION CAN FEEL IN THE SEATING, STEERING WHEEL, SIDE DOORS, BRAKE AND GAS PEDALS, SHIFT KNOB AND EVEN THE BACK PASSAGER SEAT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR MY FAMILY TO ENJOY THEIR DAILY RIDES BUT THEIR NOT, AND KEEP ASKING ME WHY HAS IT. PSYCHOLOGICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY MY DRIVING CONCENTRATION ARE ALWAYS AFFECTED, AND THAT IS UNSAFE FOR OUR EVERYDAY DRIVING AND TO ANYONE WHO HAS THIS ISSUE. I ALWAYS FEEL SICK EVERY TIMES I GET OUT OF THIS CAR, I FEEL MY HAND LIKE I USE A JACK HAMMER AFTER A WHILE. DEALER'S SERVICE DEPT. CONFIRMED TO ME THAT THERE ARE THREE ISSUES THAT CAUSE THE VIBRATION AND THERE IS NO FIX YET ABOUT THE ISSUE. I LOVE HONDA EVERSINCE, IT MY FAVORITE BRAND. I HOPE THEY CAN DO SOMETHING TO FIX IT FAST BEFORE ANY CAN GET HURT..
VIBRATIONS UPON ACCELERATION BETWEEN 10-50 MPH. I CAN HEAR AND FEEL THE VIBRATION AND IT OCCURS EVERY TIME I SLOW DOWN BELOW 30 AND THEN ACCELERATE AGAIN AND EVERY TIME I PULL OFF FROM A COMPLETE STOP. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY AND THEY SAID THEY WERE AWARE FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS OF THIS ISSUE AND THAT HONDA IS WORKING ON A FIX FOR THE ISSUE BUT AS MUCH AS HONDA ENGINEERS MAKE, A MONTH SHOULD BE MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME TO FIGURE IT OUT. I FEEL THE ISSUE WILL NOT FIX ITSELF AND WILL GET WORSE WITH TIME. MY FAMILY USES THIS VEHICLE AND BEING BROKE DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SEEMS UNSAFE TO ME ESPECIALLY WITH A NEW $30,000 VEHICLE.

THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 210.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. DURING RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS, WATER SPOTS WOULD FORM ON THE SIDE WINDOWS AND SIDE MIRRORS OBSCURING THE VISION OF THE DRIVER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.
CAR WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT AT A LOCAL DEPT STORE PARKING LOT. THE CAN WAS PUT IN PARK. THEN AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO TURN OFF VEHICLE. THE ENGINE EXCELERATED AND STARTING TO PUSH THE VEHICLE OPPOSITE OUR VEHICLE OUT ITS PARKING SPOT, MY WIFE TRIED STOPPING THE VEHICLE BY BRAKING THAT DID NOT WORK OR DID PUSHING THE IGNITION BUTTON. SHE THEN TURNED THE CAR TO THE RIGHT IN DRIVING LANE TOWARD THE STORE, BRAKES , HORN, OR POWER STEERING DID NOT WORK, SHE WAS ABLE THE TURN THE VEHICLE AWAY FROM STORE TO NEXT TURNING LANE. ENGINE STILL RACING, GRINDING SOUNDS CAN WHAT SEEMED TO BE THE TRANSMISSION. THE CAR WENT ANOTHER 300FT. JERK AND FINALLY SHUT DOWN. VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY. THE COLLISION SHOP STARTED IT AND DROVE TO A SPOT TIL THE REPAIRS WERE TO BE MADE. I ONLY HAVE A PARTIAL POLICE REPORT FROM TOWN OF AMHERST POLICE RJAMQ94SHD49. THE POLICE ALSO DID AN DEPLOYMENT INSPECTION OF THE COMPUTER, WHICH SHOWED NOTHING, SINCE THE IMPACT TO THE OTHER VECHICLE WAS LESS THAN 10MPH. THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS LEAVING THIS UP TO ME THE CONSUMER TO GO AFTER HONDA TO GET THEM TO TAKE A FURTHER LOOK AT THE OTHER COMMPUTERS.I DONT HAVE THE FULLPOLICE REPORT OR THE RESULTS OF THE DEPLOYMENT REPORT. I HOPE TO HAVE INFO SOON.
BOUGHT THE CRV 2015 2 WEEKS AGO AND FROM DAY 1 FELT THE VIBRATION WHEN ON RED LIGHTS AT FULL STOP. NEVER BOTHERED UNTILL COLD WEATHER CAME IN FEW DAYS AGO WHEN I OPERATED THE VEHICLE WITHOUT TURNING THE A/C ON. IT VIBRATES WITHIN FEW SECONDS OF PUTTING IT AT A FULL STOP FOR TRAFFIC/ RED SIGNALS. THE VIBRATION HAS BEEN COMPARED TO OTHER SIMILAR CLASS DIFFERENT BRANDED SUVS BUT NONE SHOWED SUCH BEHAVIOR. THE CAR FEELS LIKE A SPARK PLUG IS GONE WHEN IT SHAKES. ITS AN ABNORMAL ISSUE AND THE VIBRATION ALSO CAUSES THE SURPENTINE BELT PULLEY TO MAKE A LITTLE NOISE USUALLY WHICH WE SEE IN VERY OLD CARS HAVING WORN OUT PULLIES.
THE CAR VIBRATES A LOT AT IDLING. THIS IS A VEY COMMON OCCURRENCE IN ALL 2015 HONDA CR-V. THE EXCESS VIBRATIONS ARE ALSO FELT AT LOW SPEEDS, ESPECIALLY WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP.
MY NEW 2015 HONDA CRV IS VIBRATING WHEN STOPPED AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT. VIBRATION IS UNCOMFORTABLE AND NAUSEATING. THE VIBRATION GET WORST EVERYDAY. TOOK THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIX IT.
MY 2015 HONDA CRV WHICH I BOUGHT NEW IN SEP 2015 HAS FRONT END VIBRATION PROBLEMS. FIRST IT IDLED ROUGH WHILE IN GEAR STOPPED AND RPM AT 600. I RETURNED THE CRV TO THE DEALER AND THIS PROBLEM WAS REPAIRED IN OCT 2015. SECOND, MY CRV VIBRATES IN THE FRONT END AND STEERING WHEEL AT SPEEDS OF 70 - 80 MPH. I RETURNED IT TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES AND THE TIRES WERE BALANCED AND VIBRATION CONTINUED. ON THE SECOND (NOV 2015( AND THIRD (APR 2016) VISIT, THE DEALER PERFORMED A "ROAD FORCE BALANCE" AND THAT ONLY REDUCED THE VIBRATION ABOUT 50%. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THERE IS NO FIX TO THIS VIBRATION ISSUE AND THAT THE VIBRATION IS A "CHARACTERISTIC" OF THIS VEHICLE AND SIMILAR VEHICLES. HE ALSO STATED EVERY VEHICLE HAS QUIRKS. IN OTHER WORDS, I'M STUCK WITH THIS PROBLEM. HAD I KNOWN ABOUT THIS BEFORE PURCHASING THE CRV, I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I ONLY HAVE 5200 MILES ON MY CRV.
OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS. WHEN AT LIGHT OR WHEN IDLE IN PARKING LOT WITH ENGINE ON, THERE IS A DEFINITE VIBRATION SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM ENGINE; SOMETIMES RUNS LENGTH OF VEHICLE, AND, IS MINOR TO MODERATE. WHEN PUT IN GEAR IT PRETTY MUCH DISAPPEARS, BUT IS A CONSTANT VIBRATION AND DOES NOT GO AWAY UNDER THE ABOVE CIRCUMSTANCES. VERY ANNOYING AND BOTHERSOME FOR A NEW VEHICLE. HAVE NOT TALKED TO SERVICE ABOUT IT, BUT WILL.
THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES, AT REST OR WHEN STOPPING. PRESS ON BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP AND EITHER PEDAL MOVES ON DOWN OR FOOT SLIPS IN PROXIMITY TO GAS PEDAL, AND CAR WILL START TO MOVE. HAVE NOT REPORTED TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT YET, BUT MUST WATCH AND TOLD OTHER DRIVERS TO USE CAUTION AND MAKE SURE FOOT IS ON FAR (LEFT) SIDE OF BRAKE PEDAL WHEN STOPPING OR STOPPED.
I PURCHASED MY HONDA CR-V TOURING 2015 ON AUGUST 29, 2015,APPROXIMATELY FIVE WEEKS AGO. IT HAS A VIBRATION WHEN STOPPED WHILE IN DRIVE (LIKE AT A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN) IT ALSO HAS AN INTERMITTENT STRONG VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL ON HIGHWAYS. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE AND AS I SEARCHED THIS PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET, I'VE SEEN A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM. THEY ALL SAY WHEN THEY TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER IT DOES NOT GET REPAIRED AND APPARENTLY HONDA IS ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM NOW. BEING THAT I WORK,I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO GO BACK TO THE DEALER AND SIT THERE KNOWING (FROM OTHER PEOPLE'S EXPERIENCES) THAT IT WILL NOT GET CORRECTED.
THIS VEHICLE HAS A 4 CYL. ENGINE WHICH MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS AND THE NOISE. WHEN GOING UP STEEP HILL (ALL THE TIME)/ TAKES LONG TIME TO SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR, AND, IF LET UP, WILL SHIFT BUT DROPS BACK DOWN---MUST REALLY GO TO GET TO 3RD GEAR. AND IT IS NOISY. ENGINE AND TIRE NOISE ARE LOUD ON THIS NEW VEHICLE. WILL TALK TO SERVICE BUT MAY BE DUE TO FIRST SENTINCE?????
EXCESSIVE VIBRATION WHILE VEHICLE IS IN DRIVE MODE AND IS AT A STOP USING THE FOOT BRAKES. PLACING VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL LESSENS THE VIBRATION. BOUGHT A HONDA BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY AND MPG RATING, UNFORTUNATELY, AFTER 20-30 MINUTES OF DRIVING SAME, THE BLOOD CIRCULATION TO MY LEGS WAS TOTALLY CUT OFF, MAKING MY ABILITY TO DRIVE SAFELY QUESTIONABLE, NOT TO MENTION EXTREMELY MISERABLE. BOUGHT SEVERAL CUSHIONS WHICH HAVE HELPED ON SHORT DISTANCES, LEAVING ME TO CONCLUDE THAT THERE MUST BE SOME SORT OF PROTRUSION OR DEFECT EMBEDDED IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT CAUSING PART OF MY ANATOMY TO GO NUMB. AFTER REVIEWING OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS SITE, A QUESTION HAS BEEN RAISED THAT IT COULD POSSIBLY BE THE VIBRATION OF THE VEHICLE THAT IS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM, RATHER THAN A DEFECT IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT. HONDA CORPORATION HAS OPENED A CASE ON THE PROBLEM AND IS SCHEDULED TO INSPECT SAME. THOUGHT I WOULD POST THIS AFTER HEARING A REPORT ON CBS NEWS TODAY THAT CAR-MAKERS ARE FULLY AWARE OF THE FAULTY CONSTRUCTION OF DRIVER'S SEATS IN VEHICLES THESE DAYS WHICH ARE BREAKING EASILY UPON IMPACT CAUSING FATALITIES, AND HONDA WAS MENTIONED AS BEING ONE OF THEM IN SPITE OF ITS 5-STAR SAFETY RATINGS. I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW DISAPPOINTED I AM OF MY SELECTION OF WHAT I THOUGHT, AND WHAT THE EXPERTS REPORTED, WAS A HIGH-QUALITY AND WELL-MADE VEHICLE BY HONDA. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WOULD MAKE A VEHICLE THAT WILL LAST FOR YEARS MECHANICALLY, AND NOT ADDRESS THE VIBRATION ISSUES AND INFERIORITY OF THE INTERIOR SEATING; WHICH WILL ONLY JEOPARDIZE ITS HIGH-STANDARD REPUTATION IN THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY. HOPEFULLY, AFTER HONDA ADDRESSES BOTH OF THESE ISSUES, I WILL RE-GAIN MY CONFIDENCE IN THE SAFETY AND QUALITY OF THEIR VEHICLES AGAIN.

VEHICLE VIBRATES WHEN IDLING AND WHEN TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 50 - 55 MILES PER HOUR. HONDA HAS BEEN AWARE OF THE PROBLEM FOR SOMETIME AND THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO COME UP WITH A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST. IN SPITE OF THE VIBRATION PROBLEM WITH THE CRV, HONDA CONTINUES TO SELL THE CRV WITHOUT DISCLOSING THIS KNOWN DEFECT TO THE BUYING PUBLIC. WHILE HONDA SAYS THIS IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, HOW CAN A BUYER KNOW THAT FOR SURE.
THIS ONLY HAPPENED ONCE. GOING DOWN SHORT MODERATE HILL ON HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO DROP INTO A LOWER GEAR; AS IF, IT HAD A STANDARD TRANSMISSION (HAS AUTOMATIC). THEN SEEMED TO BE IN LIMBO FOR VERY SHORT TIME, RESUMED AS NORMAL AND HAVE NOT HAD ANOTHER INCIDENT. VERY STRANGE FOR A NEW VEHICLE.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.

IT ALSO TENDS TO WANT TO SHUT OFF . THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE FOR ME THAT CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE. FOR A BRAND NEW CAR THIS SHOULD BE OCCURRING . I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT . THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE TECHNICIAN UPDATED UNKNOWN SOFTWARE BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,278.
IN JUNE OF 2015, I PURCHASED MY 2015 CR-V FROM J.P. THIBODEAUX IN NEW IBERIA, LA. IN AUGUST, I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO EXCESSIVE VIBRATION AT IDLE. HONDA PERFORMED 2 MANUFACTURER UPDATES BUT MY VEHICLE STILL VIBRATES. WHEN I AM AT A RED LIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY, MY VEHICLE VIBRATES EXCESSIVELY WHICH IS A SAFETY CONCERN. IT IS A DISTRACTION WHEN AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE APPROACHES FROM BEHIND AT AN INTERSECTION. THE EXCESSIVE VIBRATION DISTRACTS ME AND IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS A CONSUMER. AFTER SEVERAL REPAIR ATTEMPTS, MY VEHICLE STILL VIBRATES. THE VIBRATION IS EXCESSIVE AND AMERICAN HONDA STATES THAT IT IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE NEW 2015 EARTH DREAM ENGINE. AS OF THIS DATE, AMERICAN HONDA HAS NO FIX AND STATED THAT THE COMPANY CANNOT FIX THE VIBRATION DUE TO EPA REGULATIONS.
THE CAR VIBRATES AND SHUDDERS DURING IDLE AT STOPS, AS WELL AS ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS--DURING THE SHUDDER CYCLE, IT FEELS LIKE THE ENGINE COULD SPUTTER OUT BUT IT CYCLES BACK. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A NEW VEHICLE. HONDA HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS DEFECT AND IS NOT DISCLOSING IT TO NEW BUYERS, AND DOES NOT HAVE A FIX. DEALER SAYS OH YEAH, THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE, AND HONDA IS WORKING ON IT. THIS IS AN ABOMINATION; THE CAR SHOULD NOT BE CONTINUED TO BE SOLD AND OWNERS SHOULD HAVE A REMEDY.

WHEN THE CAR WAS SIX MONTHS OLD THERE WAS A ODOR OF GASOLINE. IT TOOK THE CAR INTO THE DEALER AND THEY INSPECTED THE CAR AND TOLD ME THAT A MOUSE AND EATEN THROUGH MY FUEL LINE AND THAT IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND IT WOULD COST $980. I TOLD THEM THAT I REFUSE TO EXCEPT THEIR ASSUMPTION AND THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO PROVE TO ME THAT A MOUSE ATE THROUGH THE FUEL LINE. THEY SHOWED ME THE FUEL LINE AND THERE WAS ONLY A COUPLE SMALL SCARS ON IT WHERE IT WAS LEAKING. AGAIN I TOLD THEM THAT I REFUSE TO EXCEPT THAT AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER TOLD THE MECHANIC TO PUT THE CAR BACK TOGETHER AND "GET IT THE [XXX] OUT OF MY SHOP" THE DATE I PUT ON THIS IS ONLY A GUESS. THE CR-V VIBRATES WHEN STATIONARY IN PARK POSITION AND WHEN YOU DRIVE. IT REALLY SHAKES AS YOU DRIVE IN THE CITY STOPPING AT STOP SIGNS OR LIGHTS WHILE IN DRIVE. IT FEELS LIKE ENGINE COULD STOP. IT HAS A SLIGHT HESITATION UPON ACCELERATING. THIS IS WITH THE A/C OFF. THE A/C DISGUISES THE VIBRATION WHEN ON MOSTLY.

DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR BINDS WHICH MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM. IT WAS REPORTED TO SCOTT ROBINSON HONDA IN ON 8/15/15 AND AGAIN ON 3/4/2016. THEY REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM CLAIMING THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE IT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DCH HONDA ON 7/16/20, THE PROBLEM WAS ACKNOWLEDGED BY THEM. A CLAIM WAS SET UP WITH HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE, CLAIM NUMBER 11441768. HONDA IS NOW REFUSING TO PAY. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS A PASSENGER SITTING IN THE BACK MAY NOT BE ABLE TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR IN ORDER TO EXIT THE VEHICLE.
WE HAD BOUGHT A BRAND NEW HONDA CRV FROM O DONNEL HONDA IN ELLICOTT CITY (NEAR BALTIMORE). WE HAD ADDED AN ACCESSORY OF A REMOTE STARTER. THE DEALER INSTALLED THE REMOTE STARTER BUT IT IS NOT WORKING (CAR HAS TO BE TWICE STARTED AND RESTARTED). DEALER HAS TOLD US THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEMATIC ISSUE WITH ALL CRVS WITH KEYLESS ENTRY. WE WERE NEVER TOLD ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WHILE BUYING THE CAR. WE CONSIDER THIS AS FRAUDULENT PRACTICE. I AM REQUESTING DOT TO PLEASE HELP US ASK HONDA TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. EITHER THE REMOTE STARTER SHOULD BE REINSTALLED OR ANOTHER STARTER SHOULD BE INSTALLED WHICH WORKS CORRECTLY. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THIS IS A KNOWN ERROR (AS DEALER SAID) THEN ALL HONDA CRVS SHOULD BE RECALLED. IT IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM FOR THIS PARTICULAR 2015 YEAR AND MODEL , GOING ON SINCE 2014 , WITH NO FIX FOR THE VIBRATION PROBLEM .

ROUGH IDLES AT STOPS AND LOW SPEEDS CAN CAUSE A STRAIN ON THE ENGINE AND EVENTUALLY ENGINE FAILURE. THE VIBRATION IS SO BAD THAT IT SENDS WAVES THRU MY FOOT WHEN IT'S ON THE BRAKES AND THE VIBRATION IS FELT THROUGH OUT MY BODY. THE FRONT AND BACK SEATS VIBRATES UNTIL MY 9 YEAR OLD THINKS THAT WE'RE GETTING A BUTT MASSAGE. THIS IS REALLY SAD AND AN UNFORTUNATE LOSS OF A LOYAL CUSTOMERS TRUST IN HONDA SINCE 1990.

I NOTICED THIS PROBLEM 2 MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE (OR 600-700 MILES). THEN I WENT TO THE DEALER AND HE TOLD ME THAT HONDA'S ENGINEERS WERE "WORKING ON IT", NO SOLUTION WAS FOUND YET AND I HAD TO WAIT FOR A FURTHER NOTICE. VISIBLE VIBRATIONS MEAN THAT THERE IS MECHANICAL RESONANCE IN THE CAR. AN EXAMPLE OF DESTRUCTION DUE TO MECHANICAL RESONANCE WOULD BE A COLLAPSE OF TACOMA NARROWS BRIDGE. THUS, MY SAFETY CONCERN IS THAT THE CAR CAN BE DAMAGED STRUCTURALLY. FOR EXAMPLE, FEW BOLTS MAY COME LOOSE AND THE CAR MAY DISINTEGRATE DURING THE DRIVE. THE PROBLEM COULD BE THAT A NEWLY INTRODUCED CVT TRANSMISSION IN HONDA CR-V 2015 DOESN'T GO ALONG WITH THE ENGINE AND THEY PRODUCE EXCESSIVE VIBRATIONS THAT SPREAD THRU A CAR FRAME TO THE SEAT. WE EXPERIENCED STRONG VIBRATIONS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC BEFORE I SMELLED BURNT RUBBER AND PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. COULD THERE BE A CONNECTION TO THE VIBRATION, OR IS THIS ANOTHER DEFECT IN THIS VEHICLE? AS I READ THE POSTS, IT IS APPARENT THAT HONDA IS NOT DISCLOSING THE KNOWN VIBRATIONS TO THE PUBLIC. WHEN GOING DOWN A HILL, EVEN A SMALL HILL, THE RPMS INCREASE TO 3000-3500. THE ENGINE WHINES AND THE VEHICLE FEELS AS THOUGH IT IS BEING HELD BACK. IF THE HILL IS A LONG HILL, THE RPMS GO DOWN AND THE VEHICLE LUNGES FORWARD AND ACCELERATES. THIS REPEATS UNTIL THE END OF THE HILL. AT THE END OF THE HILL, THE FINAL LUNGE AND ACCELERATION IS DANGEROUS IF THERE IS A STOP SIGN AT THE END AS THE VEHICLE IS ACCELERATING. HONDA CLAIMS THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION IS SUPPOSED TO WORK LIKE THAT. I FEEL IT IS UNSAFE AND DO NOT WANT TO BE A STATISTIC IN ORDER FOR HONDA CORPORATION TO FIX IT. THE PROBLEM OCCURS DAILY SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE.

MY NEWLY PURCHASED 2015 HONDA CRV WAS JUST 4 DAYS OLD FROM THE DEALERSHIP, WHEN I DROVE TO WORK FROM MY HOME (35 MILES INTO MY COMMUTE). I WAS GOING FROM 55 MPH TO 45 MPH WHEN THE CAR STARTED TO VIBRATE. THE VIBRATION WAS NOTICEABLE BECAUSE I FELT IT IN MY HANDS, WHILE GRIPPING THE STEERING WHEEL, AND ON THE DRIVERS-SIDE FLOORBOARD. WHEN I MADE IT TO WORK, I PARKED BUT KEPT THE CAR ON. THE GEAR SHIFT WAS IN "DRIVE" AND THE VIBRATION CONTINUED. I MOVED THE GEAR SHIFT TO "NEUTRAL" AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THE SOUND OF THE CAR CHANGE AND THE VIBRATION EASED A BIT. IT'S VERY UPSETTING TO KNOW THAT WHEN I ASKED THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IF THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, THEY SAID ONLY 1 PERSON COMPLAINED, BUT THAT THEY'VE SOLD HUNDREDS OF CRVS. TODAY, AUG 5, 2015, I BROUGHT IN MY HONDA TO THE DEALERSHIP (THEY WERE AWARE THAT I WAS BRINGING IN THE HONDA AND THEY WERE NICE TO GIVE ME A "LOANER" CAR) WHILE THEY DID AN INSPECTION. THEY IMMEDIATELY SAID IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS A WHEEL ALIGNMENT ISSUE. LATER THAT AFTERNOON, WHEN I PICKED UP THE CRV, I WAS TOLD THAT THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT DIDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEMS AND THAT IT'S SAFE TO DRIVE. I ASKED THEM IF THEY'VE RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION ABOUT THE VIBRATION ISSUE. THAT'S WHEN THEY GAVE ME A HONDA TECH LINE SUMMARY ARTICLE DATED APRIL 7, 2015. IF THE HONDA DEALERSHIP HAD DISCLOSED THAT INFORMATION, I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE!! I ASKED ONE SALESMAN SPECIFICALLY ABOUT ANY RECALLS OR COMPLAINTS AND I WAS TOLD THERE WERE NONE! PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM!!!!
SIGNIFICANT VIBRATION WHEN I AM AT A STOP AND FOOT ON BRAKE OR JUST ABOUT TO DRIVE OFF. THIS HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE VEHICLE. SIGNIFICANT VIBRATION OF THE FRONT SEAT WHEN NO ONE IS SITTING IN IT. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE WHEN I AM AT A STOP BUT IT CONTINUES EVEN WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO REACH OVER AND HOLD ON TO THE SEAT TO GET RIDE OF THE NOISE AND VIBRATION. WINDOWS AND REAR WINDOW SEEM TO HAVE A FOG OR CLOUDINESS IN THEM NO MATTER THE STATE OF THE DEFROST, WEATHER OR HOW MUCH I CLEAN THEM. NO CLEAR VISION OUT THE WINDOW. HAVE SEEN THE SAME ISSUE IN HONDA ODYSSEY AS WELL.
