My 2019 Honda CR-V just had it's rear glass exploded all of a sudden. It was a 85F degree day and condition seemed normal and nothing out of the ordinary. The rear window left and right sides had a huge fault crack all along the edges. The middle of the windshield popped a hole and then upon lifting the trunk because I was unaware of the glass, the hole increased in size and chunks of glass just rained everywhere. Honda claims an object struck the glass, but that would mean the main damage would concentrate around that area. Judging from the damage to the left and right edges, it would indicate the glass internally failed all together.
Automatic Emergency Braking system activated as I was accelerating away from a stoplight. Turning off of a side road onto a 4 lane thoroughfare. Upon turning onto the main road, I accelerated through an intersection with a green light. As I crossed two steel construction plates, straddled with the vehicle, the AEB system activated and brought the vehicle to a full and complete stop in traffic while I was on the accelerator pedal. Dash announcement flashed "BRAKE" and vehicle came to a stop. I was not following any other vehicles. I was accelerating.
The car was running perfectly fine we were going to load some things into the trunk my wife was backing up and the car began to shake. All the sensors were in error: power steering, brakes system, high beams, tire pressure, tpms, engine light and some other sensor. The emergency brake was activated and we were unable to remove it, the brake light was flashing on the dashboard. The vehicle turned off and wouldn’t turn on. The vehicle had its battery checked and was fine. The vehicle has been taken to a Honda Dealership for diagnostic testing.
The engine lid cover is faulty and fell while driving on an extremely hot day. The clips are plastic and fail easily.
I was driving 20 or 35 mph when the engine stopped unexpectedly. Also the steering wheel was stiffed. It simply shut down.
i was driving in town at a speed of 35 mph when my car suddenly applied the brakes very hard and nearly stopped the vehicle. a warning alarm sounded at the same time. There were no other vehicles or objects within several blocks of my vehicle. I took the vehicle to Honda on Grand in Elmhurst IL where I purchased it new on 7-20-19 and reported the problem. they inspected the vehicle and could not find a problem. i looked online to find many people are having the exact same problem with this model. From what I read it appears to be a software problem with the adaptive cruise control. Honda is not acknowledging any problem at this time. My vehicle has 9480 miles on it and has never been in an accident. This is a serious safety issue and could easily cause an accident!
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21V215000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact made several attempts to reach out to the local dealer to schedule the recall repair but was not successful. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The passenger and driver doors do not line up to the body of the vehicle which is causing the paint to chip when the doors are opened and closed. The weather seals on the doors are rolling as a result.
I was exiting I-490 east to I-390 north at 45 mph and suddenly my Honda CRV forcefully applied the brakes. There was no vehicle in front of me and fortunately there was no vehicle in back of me. But I remember this because it really scared me. This is the only time this has happened. I am reporting this now because of an article I read on AOL titled "Over 1.7M Hondas probed for unexpected automatic braking".
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact had received a recall notice for NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The dealer was contacted and informed her that the parts were unavailable and that parts would be available later that month. The contact called back the same dealer three weeks later and was informed that they were only receiving a limited supply of parts and could not service her vehicle. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Driving on the freeway and sunroof glass spontaneously exploded. Was not going under an underpass and there were no other cars around. Moderate temperature outside and I was not running the heater or air conditioning (if that matters). Shade was pulled back, so I was showered with glass from the explosion. It is available for inspection upon request. Glass went everywhere. Luckily my family wasn't in the car with me, including my 4-year-old son. His car seat had a bunch of glass in it which would have hit him had he been with me. I am still waiting for a call back from the dealer. No, it has not been inspected yet. This happened yesterday, which was a Sunday, so nobody was open. I did call my insurance and am waiting to hear back. There was absolutely no warning before the glass exploded.
The summer of 2021 my back windshield broke spontaneously reasons unknown. I had the window replaced shortly after, but I have noticed an odd unaligned shift in my back end lift gate/hitch. My hitch loses a tad off and there is a bigger gap difference between the driver side and the passenger side. My vehicle has not been in an incident that would cause this issue.
Fuel Pump module with out of specification impellers. My vehicle had this above specific recall, in which I took my vehicle into the local Honda dealership to get repaired, however, just 2 days after my vehicle had been “repaired” it broke down/stalled and became inoperable while I was driving into a store parking lot. Ironically, earlier that day I called Honda Service department to inform them that my fuel detector continued to say full even though the dash information read only 118 miles left in fuel, they instructed me to bring the vehicle back to their shop so that they could assess the problem. Shortly after the call I made to Honda Service my vehicle broke down and so I had to have my vehicle towed back to the service department, after Waiting for almost 3 hours they informed me that my vehicle had ran out of gas and insinuated that it was my fault, even though my vehicle’s fuel indicator read full tank and was clearly not! Honda service representative continued to inform me that it was a little mistake that the mechanic installed the recalled parts incorrectly and that my vehicle was now fixed correctly. The following day I filled my gas tank full and the fuel indicator in my vehicle NOW read that it was less than 1/2 tank full!!! Once AGAIN the Honda service station FAILED to install the RECALLED parts correctly and when I called them to report my issues they responded to me as if AGAIN it was my fault!!! I’m tired of the inconsistencies and lack of respect and professionalism from this department!!!! How many times does my vehicle have to break down and possibly cause an accident before the recalled issues with it are fixed correctly??? Something has to be done!!!
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while entering the vehicle at various times of day to start the vehicle, the security door lights had remained illuminated and drained the battery. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring for several years. The contact stated that recently the battery drained, and she was forced to tow the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a dealer or independent mechanic. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HANKOOK TIRES ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, TIRE LINE: KINERGY GT, DOT NUMBER PASSENGER'S SIDE REAR: 5M3V1BH1019, AND DRIVER'S SIDE REAR: 5M3V1BH1119, SHOWED UNEVEN WEAR RESULTING IN THE REAR TIRES HAVING A TREAD DEPTH OF 3/32. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HONDA MARYSVILLE (640 COLEMANS CROSSING BLVD, MARYSVILLE, OH 43040, (937) 645-4080) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE SUSPENSION AND THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 21,000.
In April or early May 2021, my wife and I were driving my CRV on Interstate 77S coming from downtown Cleveland in the afternoon. It was a sunny day and we were driving at highway speeds. All of a sudden my CRV went into an Emergency Braking condition. The car was braking was as if I slammed on the brakes full force. Luckily no cars were immediately behind us or else they would have rear-ended us. The car slowed down rapidly and drastically, but control of the car was returned to the driver before it came to a full stop. No cars were in front of us. Nothing was in the road that we could see as an obstruction or shiny object (which Honda said sometimes fools the sensor). We were approaching (maybe 100 yds away) a shadow in the road from a bridge overpass. The dealer checked the vehicle on May 4, 2021 for proper operation of this Emergency Braking system and if any codes were created by the event. Nothing was found wrong. The car had 15,483 miles on it when Honda checked it. Honda said the shadow in the road should not have triggered the sensor.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while it was raining and the vehicle was parked outside, the contact's son noticed that the windows were rolled down, the air conditioning was activated, and the radio and windshield wipers were activated however, the key was not in the ignition. The dealer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to place the key in the ignition. The contact's husband placed the key in the ignition and rolled up the windows. The battery terminals were disconnected to deactivate the windshield wipers, radio, and air conditioning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred whenever it rained. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer a second time however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer informed the contact that they needed to witness the failure to assist. The failure mileage was 15,112.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 50-55 MPH with no other vehicles nearby, the brake warning light illuminated and the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) engaged inadvertently, causing the vehicle to come to a complete stop. The contact stated that she depressed the accelerator pedal and resumed normal driving. The contact stated that the failure recurred while driving on another occasion. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: EA24002 (Forward Collision Avoidance). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
I HAD 2 INCIDENCES WHERE MY CRV STOPPED SUDDENLY FOR NO APPARENT REASON. BOTH TIMES, I WAS DRIVING IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA, ON ONE-WAY STREETS, WITH A STOP SIGN AT EACH BLOCK. SPEED WAS AbOUT 20 MPH (OR LESS). THERE WAS NO WARNING OF ANY KIND, NO ACCIDENT WAS CAUSED AND I DIDN'T REPORT IT TO THE DEALER (CAR IS LEASED), THINKING EACH WAS JUST A FLUKE. I'M REPORTING IT TO YOU NOW, SINCE I JUST LEARNED THAT THIS HAS OCCURRED WITH OTHER HONDA CRVS AND IS BEING INVESTIGATED. THE RISK OF AN ACCIDENT WOULD HAVE BEEN HIGH IF A CAR WAS FOLLOWING ME CLOSE BEHIND. I DO NOT REALL THE DATES, BUT BOTH OCCURRED WITHIN THE PAST YEAR.
MY CAR GET RECALL FOR FUEL PUMP ON 3/25/2021, BUT I WENT TO MY DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO WAIT AND NOT PROVIDE MY EXACT DATE TO REPAIR.
THIS CAR HAS A RECALL WITHOUT ANY SOLUTION (FUEL PUMP). I WENT TO THE NEAREST HONDA DEALER AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANY ANSWERS FOR THIS PROBLEM THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR US.
ON 4/6/2021 WE WERE TRAVELING ON 580 IN RENO APROX. 60MPH NO CARS IN FRONT OR SIDES OF US BUT ONE TRUCK BEHIND US. NOTHING SUCH AS A SIGN OR BRIDGE OVER US AND NO ROAD CONSTRUCTION IN THAT AREA. THERE WAS A LOUD EXPLOSION SOUND AND GLASS RAINING DOWN ON BOTH SIDES OF OUR CRV. WE FIRST THOUGHT WAS THERE A PLANE FLYING OVER THAT LOST SOMETHING? OUR SUNROOF LITERALLY EXPLODED. GLASS FLEW OUT LIKE AN EXPLOSION HITTING THE TRUCK BEHIND US. IF WE WOULD HAVE HAD THE INTERIOR SUNSHADE OPEN WE WOULD HAVE WRECKED THE CAR DUE TO THE GLASS THAT FLEW ABOUT. WE THEN WENT TO HONDA TO SEE ABOUT IT. THEY SAID SOMETHING MUST HAVE HIT THE GLASS. NOTHING HIT THE GLASS. THE GLASS EXPLODED OUTWARD. THE SUNROOF ON THIS VEHICLE WAS OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE. WE HAVE PLACED A CLAIM WITH OUR INSURANCE AND ARE HAVING IT FIXED. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT I HAVE SINCE SEEN MANY OTHERS HAVE EXPERIENCED BUT THE CAR COMPANIES DO NOT WANT TO ADMIT TO. I'M HOPING THIS VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WILL BE LOOKED IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW IN 2019. TODAY IS 05APR2021 AND THE CAR HAS BEEN TOWED TWICE DUE TO DEAD BATTERY. BATTERY HAD BEEN REPLACED IN JAN 2021 AND REQUIRED ADDITIONAL SERVICE 3 MONTHS LATER. DAILY DRIVER, 60 MILES A DAY. CAR WAS NOT DRIVEN OVER A 3 DAY WEEKEND AND REQUIRED TOW.
IN CAR MOUNTED SCREEN FOR RADIO ETC RANDOMLY CHANGES WHILE DRIVING. FROM BRIGHTNESS OFF AND ON AND DARKER TO VOLUME CHANGING ON ITS OWN. ONLY WAY TO STOP IT (SOMETIMES) IS TO TURN OFF AND TURN BACK ON THE VEHICLE. BLIND SPOT SENSORS ALSO GO OUT RANDOMLY SOMETIMES BECAUSE OF WEATHER OTHER TIMES (RARELY, BUT STILL HAPPENED) RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING.
The dealer and Bill Page Honda (6715 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22042) were made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, he became aware that the driver-side sun visor had failed to remain in the upright position. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who did not provide a specific diagnosis but advised that the visor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 29,000.
WAS DRIVING APPROX 65 MPH, WITH NO CARS/TRUCKS CLOSE TO ME, AND AS WAS LOOKING TO THE LEFT OF CAR, HEARD A LOUD BANG/POP, WHICH STARTLED ME. SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING LANDED ON THE FORWARD ROOF, WHICH NOTHING HAD. CAR WAS RUNNING SMOOTH, SO KNEW I WAS NOT HIT OR RAN OVER ANY ROAD DEBRIS. I KNEW THE NOISE CAME FROM THE FORWARD OF THE SUV, SOLOOKED AROUND FRONT OF INTERIOR WHILE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED. THEN I SAW THE WINDSHIELD CRACKS SPARKLING IN THE SUNLIGHT.
The automatic braking system will momentarily engage. This has happened during daytime in a high contrast environment - light painting on road surface or dark shadows on road surface. Vehicle will suddenly deaccellerate then resume normal operation. This randomly happens, even at same locations. Safety is a concern since this sudden and unexpected. This sudden braking has not been reproduce by dealer or independent service provider nor has it been reported to said service providers. It is unknown if parts have been inspected by dealer. No service lights or warnings have been observed.
Driving in a 45 mph area and automatic braking system engaged for absolutely no reason and car came to a jerking halt. I was nearly rear-ended. Scared myself and 3 children in the car with me.
Randomly all (12 or 13) warning lights come on my dash. Everything from check engine, cruise control problem, hill start problem, braking problem, tire pressure problems, etc. Honda claims they don't find any problems with my car, but I have had this happen for years. Even under warranty, the dealership and Honda of America did nothing.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
I PURCHASE THE CAR ON SEPTEMBER 2018. THE CAR HAS A LITTLE THAN 15K MILES. STARTED TO GET THIS BRAKE SYSTEM ERROR
THE BATTERY HAS FAILED MULTIPILE TIME IN THE FIRST 18 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. THE FIRST INSTANCE AT THE 4 MONTH MARK WITH ABOUT 1000 MILES ON THE CAR. THEN APROX. 6 MONTHS LATER AND AGAIN 6 MONTHS AFTER THE SECOND INSTANCE. THE DEALER CANNOT IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM, AFTER THE FIRST TIME THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY. THE SECOND TIME THEY SAID THEY DID A "HARD RESET" OF THE ECM. THE THIRD TIME , I DON'T KNOW YET AS THEY STILL HAVE THE CAR. THE CAR IS 18 MONTHS OLD AND HAS APROX. 8,500 MILES ON IT.
THIS IS A REPRODUCIBLE SOFTWARE GLITCH THAT CAN BE CONSISTENTLY TRIGGERED BY BRINGING THE CAR TO A STOP ON A SLIPPERY SURFACE, AND THEN FLOORING THE GAS PEDAL TO SPIN THE WHEELS WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN 'D'. AFTER THE WHEELS HAVE SPUN, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS ERRATICALLY WHILE DRIVING UNTIL THE CAR IS RESTARTED
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MILES AN HOUR THE SUN ROOF SUDDENLY EXPLODED. THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC CLOSE ENOUGH TO HAVE TOSSED UP A ROCK. WE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND DISCOVERED A LARGE PART OF THE SUNROOF WAS MISSING. A SMALL AMOUNT OF GLASS FELL ONTO THE SUNSHADE WHICH KEPT IT FROM HITTING ME IN THE FACE. THE REST OF THE GLASS SCATTERED IN THE WIND AS I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. FORTUNATELY NO MOTORCYCLES WERE BEHIND ME OR SOMEONE WOULD LIKELY HAVE GOTTEN HURT. NO GLASS IN AN AUTOMOBILE SHOULD SHATTER THIS WAY IT IS DANGEROUS BOTH FOR THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE AND FOR THOSE FOLLOWING.
The collision mitigation system causes the vehicle to stop suddenly in the middle of the street. This happens when there is nothing in the street and when there is a pot hole cover. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership, but since this happens randomly, they were not able to reproduce the issue. The information screen goes blank and shuts off at random intervals. The first few times I took the vehicle to the dealership for repair, they reset the screen and then eventually they replaced the screen. The issue has continued to
I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 60 MPH. TRAFFIC WAS FLOWING. SUDDENLY, WITH NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME, THE CAR APPLIES THE BREAK AND I CAME DOWN IMMEDIATELY TO 30 MPH. IT WAS TERRIFYING AND LUCKILY NO ONE SLAMMED INTO ME.
WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH ON A DIVIDED ROAD WITH NO CARS IN FRONT OF ME FOR AT LEAST 1/2 MILE AND NO CARS TO THE SIDE OR TURNING, MY CAR BRAKES TO ALMOST A STOP AND THE BRAKE ASSIST LIGHT WENT ON. IF THERE HAD BEEN ANYONE BEHIND ME I WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND. THE BRAKING WAS SUDDEN ENOUGH THAT EVERYTHING FLEW OFF THE PASSENGER SEAT INTO THE FLOOR. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I WAS TOLD A SHADOW OR A BAG CAN SET IT OFF AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO HELP BECAUSE IT WASN'T BROKEN AND ALTHOUGH SOME HONDA'S ALLOWED YOU TO TURN OFF THAT FEATURE, THE HONDA CRV DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO DISABLE BRAKE ASSIST FUNCTION PERMANENTLY. YOU CAN TURN IT OFF EVERY TIME YOU START THE CAR BUT IF YOU FORGET TO TURN IT OFF A BAG BLOWING IN THE STREET CAN BRING YOU TO A SUDDEN STOP.
MY CR-V WITHOUT WARNING WILL BRAKE SUDDENLY..VERY DANGEROUS TO ME AND THE VEHICLE BEHIND. HAS HAPPENED ON A STRAIGHT HWY WITHOUT TRAFFIC, AND WHEN I CROSS A SPECIFIC RR CROSSING..I'VE CHECKED WITH THREE DEALERS AND AM TOLD NOTHING CAN BE DONE WITH RESETTING THE RADAR. ONLY HONDA (AMERICA) CAN GIVE THE CODES? IN THE MEANTIME ITS DANGEROUS AND IS GOING TO GET ME OR SOMEONE ELSE KILLED. I PURCHASED AT HONDA OF BOONE, (FRIENDSHIP) AND HAVE INVOICE FOR SERVICE ON 16 JUNE 2020, MILEAGE 6743, AND RECENTLY SERVICE AT CROWN HONDA OF GREENSBORO 02/21/202, (MILEAGE1714) .SERVICE MGR. SAID CALL AMERRICAN HONDA, BUT WOULD NOT GIVE ME ADDRESS/PHONE AND SAID I'D HAVE TO GET CODES? FROM THEM!
WHEN ON INTERSTATE IN MIDDLE OR LEFT LANE AND PASSING CAR IN LANE TO THE RIGHT, WITH NO CAR AHEAD IN SENSOR DISTANCE, BRAKES CAN SUDDENLY BE APPLIED. I CONTACTED HONDAUSA AND WAS REFERRED TO DEALER, WHICH WAS COGGIN HONDA, ST AUGUSTINE, FL. VEHICLE INSPECTED, SPOKE TO MECHANIC, WHO SAID HE IS HESITANT TO ADJUST FORWARD SENSOR CONE ON VEHICLE. FOR SAFETY REASONS, I NOW TRAVEL ON INTERSTATES USING TRADITIONAL CRUISE CONTROL. I DO NOT WANT TO BE REAR ENDED IF A VEHICLE BEHIND IS TAILGATING AND MY BRAKES ARE SUDDENLY APPLIED. I CANNOT ALWAYS GET OUT OF THE WAY OF A TAILGATER. THE SUDDEN APPLICATION OF BRAKES HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES, NOT ONLY THE DATE LISTED AND ALWAYS ON A LIMITED ACCESS ROAD. I RARELY USE CRUISE CONTROL EXCEPT ON A LIMITED ACCESS ROAD. CONTROL.
2019 HONDA CRV. I HAVE NOTICED THAT MY OIL HAS AN AMOUNT OF GAS OVER 5% TWICE BY ANALYSIS. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE PROBLEM OF OIL DILUTION THAT HONDA CRV'S (MODEL YEAR 2017 & 2018) HAVE HAD. I FEAR THAT I WILL HAVE PREMATURE ENGINE DAMAGE AND MORE IMPORTANT LOSS OF POWER OR STALLING ON THE HIGHWAY AS THE 1.5 LITER DIRECT INJECTION HONDA CRV ENGINES HAVE EXPERIENCED.
was driving on the highway at 50 mile an hour and car slammed on the brakes automatically.
I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM'IT STAYS ON WITH ON COMING TRAFFIC OR WHEN FOLLOWING BEHIND THE VEHICLE, IT BASICALLY DOES NOT TURN OFF WHEN IT SHOULD. SOMETIMES, IT WOULD NOT TURN ON WHEN IT SHOULD. I HAVE IT ALL ON VIDEO, BUT THE DEALER STATES SINCE THEY CAN'T DUPLICATE IT, THEY CAN'T FIX IT EVEN WHEN SHOWN THE VIDEO OF THE ISSUE. IT IS ILLEGAL TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAM ON WITH ON COMING TRAFFIC (ALTHOUGH I CAN TURN THE FEATURE OFF), IT IS STILL VERY FRUSTRATING THAT THEY REFUSE TO ADDRESS THE SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE INTERMITTENT NATURE OF THE PROBLEM.
ON AUGUST 28 I WENT TO START MY CAR AND IT WOULD NOT TURN ON. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY JUMPED IT AND THE CAR STARTED. THEY TESTED THE BATTERY AND IT WAS FINE BUT CHANGED IT ANYWAY. ON DECEMBER 23 IT WOULD NOT START AND HAD TO BE JUMPED. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN ON DECEMBER 26 AND 27. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP. THEY HAVE SAID NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE BATTERY OR THE CAR EVEN THOUGH THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MULTIPLE 2019 CR-VS.
When outside temp is below 30 degrees, the engine will not generate heat unless driven for several miles. When you stop and let car idle the engine temperature drops very low not allowing the inside cabin to remain warm. So basically if I get stuck in a snowstorm I could freeze to death because this car will maintain a warm temperature unless it’s been driven.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 HONDA CR-V. CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER'S MIDDLE SEAT BELT BUCKLE CLIP FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BUCKLE WAS INSTALLED IN THE REVERSE POSITION. THE CONTACT'S GRAND CHILD'S CAR SEAT CAR SEAT WAS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE REAR SEAT WHERE THE DEFECTIVE CLIP AND BUCKLE WAS INSTALLED. THE CONTACT USED THE MIDDLE PASSENGER SEAT BELT AND CLIPPED IT INTO THE RIGHT REAR PASSENGER'S SEAT BUCKLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GILLMAN HONDA SAN BENITO (1801 INDUSTRIAL WAY, SAN BENITO, TX 78586, (956) 361-3700) AND WAS INFORMED BY THE MECHANIC THAT SEAT BELT FAILURE COULD NOT BE CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.*DT*JB
Driving in freezing rain wipers stopped working
Infotainment system failure. Doesn't work for hands free. Phone doesn't connect for GPS or the way it's intended for phone calls, etc.
RADAR OBSTRUCTED - WARNING INDICATORS CAME ON WITH JUST SNOW FLURRIES THAT OBSTRUCTED THE RADAR. APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO THE 2017 ISSUE FIXED WITH SOFTWARE UPDATE 17-064. REPORTED TO JONES HONDA IN LANCASTER PA BUT THEY SAID THERE IS NO KNOWN FIX. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE SPEND $35K FOR SAFETY FEATURES THAT DO NOT WORK.
I PURCHASED A HONDA CRV FROM HAGERSTOWN HONDA ON 3/16/2019. I LOVE MY CRV. HOWEVER, I'VE BEEN HAVING SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR. THE HONDA COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM IS CAUSING MY CAR TO JUST STOP WHILE DRIVING, USUALLY GOING 70 MILES AN HOUR OR MORE, DOWN TO ZERO WITHOUT WARNING. THE CMBS THINKS THERE IS SOMETHING I'M GOING TO HIT, HOWEVER THERE ARE NO CARS OR OBJECTS IN FRONT OF ME. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ABOUT 5 TIMES NOW. I HAVE HAD MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF HAGERSTOWN HONDA CAN FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE MEET WITH BOB BARNES (SERVICE MANAGER) AND TALKED SEVERAL TIMES ON THE TELEPHONE ABOUT THE ISSUE, THE TECHNICIAN (NICK SHIFLER) READJUSTED THE RADAR, AND A HONDA SENSING INTERVIEW SHEET THAT WAS SENT INTO HONDA USA. IT HAPPENED AGAIN JUST LAST WEEK, WHERE I CAUSED A THREE-CAR ACCIDENT ON EAST BOUND ROUTE 66. I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS INJURED IN THE ACCIDENT AS FAR AS I KNOW RIGHT NOW, HOWEVER THE OTHER DRIVERS HAD SIGNIFICANT CAR DAMAGE. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED. THE VA STATE TROOPER AT THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT TOLD ME NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE IT WAS UNSAFE, AND I AGREE. I CONTACTED BOB BARNES SERVICE MANAGER FROM HAGERSTOWN HONDA AGAIN LAST WEEK, AND HE SAID HE CAN'T HELP ME BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM AND TO CONTACT HONDA USA. MY CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE, BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THE CMBS SYSTEM IS GOING TO ENGAGE, WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAS ALL HAPPENED ON HIGHWAY DRIVING.
