THE SUB-FRAME, RR ASSEMBLY GOT SO SEVERELY CORRODED THAT IT HAS CRACKS AND FRACTURES AND NOW THERE IS A SMALL HOLE IN IT WHICH IS DEEMED AS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT WE CAN'T EVEN DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE COST TO REPAIR IT IS MORE THAN HALF MY VEHICLE VALUE AT THIS POINT. WHAT IS PRETTY INTERESTING IS THAT THE HONDA DEALERS DON'T STOCK THE PART (50300-SHJ-A01) AND CAN'T REALLY SAY IF OR WHEN THEY CAN GET THE PART. MORE THAN A COUPLE OF THEM HAVE TOLD ME THAT THEY'VE NEVER ORDERED THIS PART BEFORE, WHICH LEADS ME TO ASSUME THAT THIS COULD NOT BE A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR FAILURE. I CALLED HONDA AND THEY WILL NOT RELY ON A 3RD PARTY (MY TRUSTED & REPUTED LOCAL MECHANIC) OPINION AND WOULD LIKE ME TO TAKE THE VEHICLE, MOST LIKELY TOW IT, TO THE DEALER AT MY EXPENSE AND GET IT DIAGNOSED AT MY EXPENSE, WHICH MY MECHANIC HAS ALREADY DONE. THAT SEEMS UNREASONABLE TO ME. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS MATTER? THIS HAPPENED WHEN MY CAR WAS IN FOR AN OIL SERVICE AND THE TECHNICIAN HAPPENED TO NOTICE THE CRACK IN THE PART. INTERIOR WATER LEAK FROM ROOF PANEL SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG. THIS IS NOT AN ACCIDENT. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE ON JUNE 28,2016 FROM A DEALER. IT IS A USED CAR THAT IS NOT WARRANTY FROM THE DEALER. BUT WHEN IT IS RAINING, WATER LEAK FROM ROOF PANEL SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE CHECK FUEL CAP AND CHECK ENGINE SENSOR WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THAT THE FUEL PUMP COVER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 162,000.
POWER STEERING STIFF AT LOW SPEEDS OR PARKING AND VERY LOUD HOWLING NOISE, MECHANIC STATE THERE IS A RECALL BUT I DO NOT SEE ANY, ALMOST HAD NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS DUE TO THIS ISSUE OF STIFF STEERING AND UNABLE TO TURN
ONE OF THE SEAT BELTS FOR THE MIDDLE SEAT DOES NOT HAVE A STANDARD RELEASE BUTTON. INSTEAD, YOU HAVE TO TRY TO USE THE METAL CLIP PIECE OR A KEY OR OTHER RIGID THING ITEM TO RELEASE THE BELT. I ALWAYS THOUGHT OF THIS AS AN ANNOYING DESIGN, BUT DID NOT REALIZE HOW DANGEROUS THIS WAS UNTIL MY DAUGHTER GOT IT WRAPPED AROUND HER NECK. THE SEAT BELT WAS LOCKED IN THE CEILING AND RETRACTING TIGHTER AS SHE STRUGGLED. SHE IS FINE AND I GOT HER OUT WITHOUT ANY REAL DAMAGE, BUT THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS DESIGN AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED AS SOME OTHER CHILD MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY. THE CAR WAS NOT MOVING AT THE TIME, IT WAS PARKED. IT HAPPENED IN MY MOMS 2016 ODYSSEY, BUT IT HAS THE SAME DESIGN IN MY VEHICLE LISTED. *TR
SUN ROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY GOING 65 MPH. THE SUN ROOF WAS CLOSED AND ALL OTHER WINDOWS WERE CLOSED. THE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE MID 50S WITH LIGHT RAIN, VISIBILITY GOOD. THERE WAS NO KNOWN REASON FOR THE EXPLOSION - NOTHING OVERHEAD, NO VEHICLE TRAVELING IN FRONT OF US.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST STEERING ABILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
THE PAINT IS PEELING OFF FROM THE HOOD, SIDE AND THE ROOP. SPECIALLY, LAST SUNDAY, WE HAD A HEAVY RAIN AND THE SNOW. AFTER THAT DAY. THE PEELING PART TOTALLY PEELED OFF. IT LOOKS BAD(GROSS).
TRANSMISSION. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD TWO TRANSMISSIONS IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS. FOR SOME REASON THEY KEEP GOING UP. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE REPAIR COMPANIES TELL ME THAT THE HONDA ODYSSEY HAS THE WORST TRANSMISSIONS. THE TRANSMISSION WENT UP ON ME WHILE ON VACATION WITH MY FAMILY AND LEFT US STRANDED 4 1/2 HOURS FROM HOME. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A HONDA ODYSSEY.
THE POWER WINDOWS ARE NO LONGER WORKING. THE DRIVER SIDE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL OPEN.
I DROVE MY HONDA MINIVAN FOR 10 YEARS AND ONE DAY I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE AT WORK AND WHEN I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN THE CAR, IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED SO FAST THAT IT HIT THE WALL AND SET OFF THE AIR BAG. THE CAR WAS TOTALED AND I HAD BURNS FROM THE THE AIRBAG ON MY NECK AND ARM.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. USED ONE QUART OF OIL AFTER 1000 MILES.
ENGINE MOUNT FAILURE: 3 MOTOR MOUNTS HAVE FAILED . THE CAR MECHANIC SAYS HE ONLY CHANGES MOTOR MOUNTS ON ODYSSEYS AND NO OTHER CAR HAS SAME ISSUE WITH THE MOUNTS. I GOOGLED MOTOR MOUNT FAILURE AND IT IS QUITE A LOT OF COMPLAINT S AND I'M WONDERING IF THE ODYSSEY HAS SO MANY ISSUE WITH MOTOR MOUNTS WHY HAVE THEY NOT BEEN RECALLED. IF NOT FIXED THERE ARE CATASTROPHIC ISSUES AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF LIFE. I LIKE MY CAR, FOR THE MOST PART BUT IT SEEMS TO HAVE MANY ISSUES , SOME RECALLED. IT'S FRUSTRATING AND COSTLY.
THE SPARK PLUG BLEW OUT OF THE CYLINDER HEAD WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR 8 LANE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH. IF I DIDN'T REACT QUICKLY & THERE WAS A CAR TO THE RIGHT OF ME, I VERY EASILY COULD'VE BEEN IN A DANGEROUS ACCIDENT. UNSURE IF THERE WAS ANY ENGINE DAMAGE.
THE FLUID FILLED MOTOR MOUNTS THAT COME ON THE EXL/TOURING MODEL HAVE BOTH FAILED AND FLUID LEAKED OUT. THE CONCEPT BEHIND THESE ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED MOTOR MOUNTS IS TO DAMPEN THE VIBRATION WHEN THE VAN GOES INTO ECO MODE REDUCING THE ACTIVE CYLINDERS FROM 6 TO 3. WHEN THESE MOUNTS FAIL THE VAN VIBRATES CONSIDERABLY IN THE ECO MODE. I GOOGLED THE ISSUES AND SEE THAT THEIR ARE MANY OTHERS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE FROM YEAR 2005 -2007 AT ALL DIFFERENT LEVELS OF MILEAGE. THE COST OF REPAIR THROUGH HONDA IS OVER $1800. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A RUN ON MOTOR MOUNTS AS I HAVE WHEN TRYING TO RESEARCH THE ISSUE WHICH MAKES ME THING THERE IS A ENGINEERING/DESIGN FLAW. LEFT UN-REPAIRED AND HONDA TOLD ME THAT THE VIBRATION CAN CAUSE MANY OTHER ISSUES RENDERING THE VAN UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE STRONG FUMES OF FUEL EMITTING INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INSPECTED UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED A LEAK UNDER THE FRONT END. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14E049000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AND 14V112000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
ONE OF THE PASSENGER SLIDING DOORS NO LONGER OPENS. IT WILL START TO OPEN & THEN CLOSE AS IF THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE WAY. THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WAY. INOPERABLE AT HIS TIME.
WHILE STOPPED IN TRAFFIC, ENGINE BEGAN HARD ACCELERATION AND FRONT TIRES BEGAN SCREECHING. THIS OCCURRED 4X WITHIN 10 DAYS. WITH EACH EXPERIENCE THERE WAS NO WARNING. IT WAS FORTUNATE THAT FOOT WAS ON BRAKE PEDAL AT THAT TIME.
SEAT BELT ON DRIVERS SIDE GETS WET EVERY TIME IT RAINS. WATER IS GETTING INTO WHERE THE SEAT BELT RECOILS WHEN NOT ON THE DRIVER.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.
FOR STARTERS I HAD TRANSMISSION REBUIT AND ITS NEEDS REPLACED AGAIN THIS IS AT 120000 MILES THEN AT 135000 MILES. I HAVENT GOT IT REPLACED YET, BUT MY MECHANIC GAVE ME THE WARNING. ALSO SAID ALL ODYSSEYS TRANSMISSIONS FAIL.LIKE ITS A ONGOING PROBLEM. NUMBER 2. MY PASSENGERFRONT DOOR GETS STUCK AND YOU CANT OPEN OT EVEN THOUGH ITS UNLOCKED. 3..THE MIDDLE SEAT SECOND ROW THE SMALL SEAT THAT UNLATCHES, UNLATCHES WHILE DRIVING.
THERE IS RUST OVER THE REAR WHEELS ON BOTH SIDES. I HAVE SEEN THIS ON ALMOST EVERY SINGLE SIMILAR HONDA ODYSSEY, SAME MODEL AS THE 2006 MODEL I OWN. THE RUST IS ON THE BODY PANELS IMMEDIATELY OVER THE REAR WHEELS, ON BOTH THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER SIDES. THIS HAS HAPPENED GRADUALLY, AND OCCURS ON NO OTHER PART OF THE VEHICLE, SO IT IS A QUALITY CONTROL ISSUE.
WHEN WE WERE TRAVELING OUT WEST, WE STARTED TO NOTICE A DISTINCT "WHINE" IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. AFTER RETURNING HOME AND HAVING DRIVEN THOUSANDS OF MILES, WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR MOTOR MOUNT HAD BROKEN AND WAS CAUSING THE FAN TO MAKE A NOISE WHEN THE ENGINE ITSELF "HEAVED" UPON ACCELERATING. IT COST $1100 FOR THE REPAIR. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE THERE ARE SEVERAL SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON HERE, AND THERE PROBABLY SHOULD BE A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY INJURED.
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AND APPROACHING SPEEDS BETWEEN 45MPH TO 65MPH THE ENTIRE CAR STARTED TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY, AS IF THE CAR WAS GOING TO FALL APART. I IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT IT TO AN INDEPENDENT DEALER AND I WAS INFORMED THE ENGINE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE FAILING.
THE BRAKES ACTED AS A TERM STATED SOFT BRAKE PEDAL. THE BRAKES SHOULD HAVE STOPPED THE VEHICLE IN A SHORTER DISTANCE THAN THEY ACTUALLY DID. FROM A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH IT TOOK ABOUT 150 FT TO STOP AND IT STILL REQUIRED HITTING THE CAR INFRONT OF ME TO STOP AT ABOUT 5 MPH. I FELT THE ABS KICK IN BUT FOR PUSHING THE PEDAL AS HARD AS I COULD THE WHEELS DID NOT EVEN SQUEAL OR CHIRP. IT FELT LIKE THE VEHICLE WAS JUST COMING TO A SLOW STOP.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 60 MPH ON A HIGHWAY WHEN MY 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY BEGAN SHAKING AND VIBRATING. THE SHAKING WAS SO BAD THE REARVIEW MIRROR BECAME LOOSE AND EVENTUALLY FELL OFF THE FRONT WINDOW. IF I WOULD HAVE HAD A COFFEE CUP SITTING IN THE BEVERAGE HOLDER THE REARVIEW MIRROR WOULD HAVE SPLASHED HOT COFFEE ON MY SHORTS AND DOWN MY LEG. THIS SAME SITUATION WOULD OCCUR IF I WOULD HAVE HAD A TOLL-ROAD TRANSPONDER ATTACHED TO THE WINDSHIELD JUST BELOW THE REARVIEW MIRROR. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME AN ENGINE MOUNT HAS FAILED ON MY HONDA ODYSSEY. I PAID $1,706.13 TO REPLACE A FAILED ENGINE MOUNT ON AUGUST 6, 2014.
MY VAN MAKES A VERY LOUD WHINING NOISE WHEN IN MOTION AND TURNING THE WHEEL

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V112000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.
BROKEN ENGINE MOUNT. BECAUSE OF THAT THE CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WITH FAMILY. I HAVE SEEN MOST OF HONDA ODYSSEY ARE EXPERIENCING SAME PROBLEM AND MANUFACTURE ARE NOT FIXING THIS ISSUE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED AND THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT BRAKES. IN ADDITION, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND THE RPMS INCREASED. THE VSC AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,400.
TAKATA RECALL. MY HONDA VAN HAS BEEN LOSING PAINT FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW AND ITS GETTING WORSE. I HAVE BIG SPOTS ON MY ROOF, HOOD AND SLIDING DOORS. I WOULD LIKE THIS ISSUE FIXED ASAP.

ONLY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WORKS. ALL THREE PASSENGER WINDOWS CLICK WHEN POWER BUTTON DEPRESSED BUT DON'T WORK. LOOKED FOR REASONS ON LINE FOUND MANY PEOPLE WITH SAME PROBLEM.
Ongoing issues regarding engine mounts
I BOUGHT MY 06 ODYSSEY TOURING EDITION IN 2015. I AM THE SECOND OWNER AND IT ONLY HAD 115,000 MILES ON IT. I HAD NO PROBLEMS AT FIRST AND THEN SOON AFTER STARTED HAVING A SHUTTERING PROBLEM AROUND 45 MPH. I HAD A SATURN VUE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND HAD THE SAME MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION AS MY HONDA. CHEVROLET DID A RECALL ON IT I BROUGHT IT IN THE REPROGRAMMED AND RECALIBRATED IT NO PROBLEMS AFTER THAT. SO WHEN MY HONDA STARTED I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL AND THEY SAID NOT ON MY VIN. SO I ASKED HOW MUCH TO REPROGRAM AND RECALIBRATE AND THE TOLD ME THAT IF IT DOES NOT HAVE A NEW UPDATE THEN THEY COULD NOT DO IT (WHICH I KNOW IS BULL SINCE WE OWN A MECHANIC SHOP AND DEAL WITH THINGS LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME). I DO NOT HAVE THE $3000 PLUS TO FIX THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND FEEL IF OTHER VEHICLE WITH SAME TRANSMISSIONS HAVE BEEN RECALLED THEN THIS ONE SHOULD BE TOO!!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY. TWENTY MINUTES AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT CAME OUTSIDE TO FIND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHING A FIRE THAT HAD ENGULFED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V112000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 185,000.

VEHICLE WITH DRIVER ONLY WAS TRAVELING WEST ON I80 A COUPLE OF MILES BEFORE THE SF OAK BAY BRIDGE IN THE FAR LEFT LANE GOING APPROX 60 MILES PER HOUR (5 MPH BELOW POSTED LIMIT) IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. CAR IN ADJACENT RIGHT LANE DARTED INTO THE LEFT LANE IN FRONT OF ME TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT AND SLAMMED ON HIS BRAKES AT THE SAME TIME. I HIT THE BRAKES IMMEDIATELY AND THE ABS ENGAGED BUT SINCE THE CAR TRYING TO AVOID THE ACCIDENT, IMACT OCCURED AT A SPEED LESS THAN 60 MPH. CAR BEHIND ME SLAMMED INTO MY BACK END. THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT IMPACT TO THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I WAS WEARING MY SEAT BELT WHICH I BELEIVE HELPED SAVE MY LIFE BUT INJURIES DID OCCUR. I SUSTAINED SERIOUS HEAD (CONCUSSION), NECK (MUSCLE STRAIN) AND BACK (SPINAL NERVE DAMAGE). HEAD AND NECK INJURIES APPEAR TO HAVE RESOLVED BUT CONTINUE TO HAVE PAIN AND DAMAGE TO BACK (SPINAL AND NERVE) THE REASON FOR THIS COMPLAINT REPORT IS THAT NONE OF THE NUMEROUS AIRBAGS ON THE HONDA ODESSEY DEPLOYED DURING THIS HIGH IMPACT TO BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW IF THIS WAS A GOOD THING OR BAD BUT I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED THE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY, WHICH I BELIEVE WOULD HAVE HELPED MINIMIZE THE INJURIES I INCURRED THE CASE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY (PROGRESSIVE) BUT AT THIS POINT THEY HAVE CONCLUDED THE FAULT OF THE ACCIDENT WAS THE PERSON THAT SHIFTED LANES IN AN ATTEMPT TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT IN HIS LANE COMING INTO MY "SAFE ZONE" AS THE POLICE CALLED IT. I ASKED THEM TO HOLD THE CAR FOR INSPECTION BY HONDA AUTHORITIES A FEW WEEKS AFTER THE ACCIDENT I CALLED HONDA TO REPORT THAT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THEY GAVE ME CASE NUMBER 12015-04-0701544. THEY CALLED YESTERDAY AND SAID THEY WERE NOT GOING TO CHECK CAR. I FEEL IT IS THEIR OBLIGATION TO SEE IF THERE IS A FLAW IN THE AB'S. I DON'T WANT ANOTHER PARTY TO DIE OR BE INJURED AS A RESULT OF FAULTY AIRBAGS.
BRAKES ARE REALLY WEAK. EVEN DEALERSHIPS ARE OF NO HELP. HONDA SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY UNTOWARD INCIDENTS DUE TO THESE DEFECTS. ALSO VSA MODULATOR IS FAULTY AND HONDA DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING $2K FOR THE REPAIRS!

HI MY COMPLAINT WITH THIS 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY IS THE FRONT AND REAR MOTOR MOUNT BROKE FREQUENTLY AND ARE ABSOLUTELY VERY EXPENSIVE EVERY USER OF THIS VAN HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS VAN.
BROUGHT VAN IN FOR TIRE ROTATION, AND WAS INFORMED THAT 2 OF THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE TORN/BROKEN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED-POSSIBLY ALL 4! HAVE NOTICED SERIOUS WOBBLE AND THOUGHT IT HAD TO DO WITH SUSPENSION...WAS QUOTED 800.00 TO FIX 2 MOTOR MOUNTS. *TR
MVA OCCURRED 1/16/2015 - IMPACT LEFT FRONT QUARTER. HAD TROUBLE OPENING DRIVER'S DOOR. STEERING COLUMN AIRBAG DEPLOYED. HOWEVER, DRIVER'S SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY RESULTING IN HEAD TRAUMA AS DRIVER'S HEAD HIT THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW. IMPACT SHOULD HAVE SET OFF SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG SENSORS. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED & SOLD BY INSURANCE COMPANY WITHOUT DEALER INSPECTION OF PROBLEM. I WOULD NOT HAVE THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT IT HAD IT NOT BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION BY ARTICLE ABOUT RECENT HONDA AIRBAG RECALLS. THE REAR TRUNK DOOR DOES NOT UNLOCK WITH KEY REMOTE OR FROM DOOR UNLOCK SWITCH. THE DOOR DOES NOT HAVE A KEY HOLE OR MANUAL UNLOCK PROVISION. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD IN CASE OF ACCIDENT AS YOU CANNOT OPEN THE TRUNK BY ANY OTHER MECHANISM AS IT WILL NOT UNLOCK ELECTRONICALLY. *TR
THERE WAS EXCESSIVE VIBRATION OF VEHICLE AND WE TOOK IT TO HONDA DEALERSHIP IN RALEIGH, NC AND WERE TOLD THE FRONT AND REAR ENGINE MOUNTS HAVE ALL COLLAPSED. WE HAVE ALSO BEEN INFORMED THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM IN ODYSSEY'S. THIS NEEDS TO BE A SAFETY RECALL. *TR
