THE ERROR IS KEYLESS START PROBLEM THIS MESSAGE STAYS ON UNTIL CAR SHUTS OFF.
"TAKATA RECALL" THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAG OF OUR 2016 HONDA PILOT SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED AS MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH STRAIGHT ALONG ROUTE 195 IN MANSFIELD, CT ON MAY 11, 2019. AT THE TIME OF THE DEPLOYMENT SHE HAD PASSED OVER A STORM DRAIN THAT STICKS OUT INTO THE NARROW ROAD. THE DRAIN CAUSES A SLIGHT DEPRESSION IN THE ROADWAY, WHICH THE WHEELS ROLLED OVER. THERE WAS NO IMPACT. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT. SHE MANAGED TO KEEP HER WITS ABOUT HER SO SHE DIDN'T GET HIT ON THE BUSY, NARROW ROAD. THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR IS PRISTINE. THE INTERIOR IS A MESS. THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG IS DOWN, BLOCKING VISIBILITY, AND THE SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT. THE DEPLOYMENT TOOK OUT THE HEADLINER AND TORE THE PASSENGER'S SEAT APART. OUR CAR HAS BEEN SITTING AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP AND NOW AT A BODY REPAIR FACILITY FOR TWO WEEKS. HONDA TELLS US IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT. THEY CLAIM WE HAVE A BENT CONTROL ARM ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE FRONT OF THE CAR. HOWEVER, WE HAVE FELT NO PULLING, SHAKING, TREMORS, BUMPING OR OTHER EFFECTS OUR MECHANIC ASSURES US WOULD HAPPEN WITH A BENT CONTROL ARM. WE WERE TOLD BY THE HONDA DEALER THAT REPAIRS COULD COST $5,000 TO $10,000 BUT HAVE NO OFFICIAL ESTIMATE. WE HAVE TURNED THE CASE OVER TO OUR INSURANCE COMPANY.
KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM CODE HAS STARTING APPEARING ON DASH. CAME ON AFTER VEHICLE STARTED.
KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM. CHANGED CAR AND REMOTE BATTERY BUT KEYLESS PROBLEM KEEPS APPEARING. IF I TURN VEHICLE OFF AND ON AND RUN CAR FOR A WHILE MESSAGE GOES AWAY BUT THEN COMES BACK. SOME TIMES MESSAGE DOESN'T GO AWAY AT ALL
A FEW WEEKS AGO MY 2016 HONDA PILOT SUNROOF SHATTERED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON AN OPEN HIGHWAY AND THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS AROUND. NOTHING HIT THE SUNROOF, BUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING I HEARD TWO LOUD POP SOUNDS AND LOOKED UP AND THE SUNROOF HAD SHATTERED. I HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED AT A HONDA DEALER, AND HONDA REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME FOR IT AS THEY DID NOT WANT ACCEPT THE LIABILITY OF A VEHICLE FLAW. I AM CONTACTED HONDA CUSTOMER CARE TWICE ABOUT THIS TO FIND OUT WHAT CAUSED THIS AND WHETHER THEY THOUGHT THERE IS A RISK FOR THIS HAPPENING AGAIN, AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T OFFER ANY INSIGHT ON THIS. I AM CONCERNED FROM A SAFETY STANDPOINT AS I WANT TO MAKE SURE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN AND HURT ONE OF MY CHILDREN. THIS VEHICLE FLAW COULD HAVE LED TO SERIOUS INJURY. I DID A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH OF THE PROBLEM AND FOUND SEVERAL ARTICLES ON THIS TOPIC (SUCH AS THIS ONE: HTTPS://WWW.CONSUMERREPORTS.ORG/CAR-SAFETY/EXPLODING-SUNROOF-CASES-HEAD-TO-COURT/) . WHILE THIS IS NOT A HIGH PERCENTAGE PROBLEM, I AM NOT ALONE IN HAVING EXPERIENCED IT, AND I AM COMPLETELY CERTAIN THAT IT WAS NOT STRUCK BY ANY OBJECT. THIS QUITE SIMPLY WAS A FAILURE OF THE EQUIPMENT, AND IT COULD HAVE RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURY EITHER FROM THE DEBRIS FALLING FROM THE SUNROOF IF I HAD THE COVER OPEN, AND/OR FROM AN ACCIDENT HAD I SWERVED FROM THE SHOCK OF THE NOISE OR DEBRIS AND THERE WERE OTHER CARS NEARBY.
WARNING LIGHT: EMISSION SYSTEMS PROBLEM I PURCHASED THE CAR AT AROUND 56,000 MILES FROM A NON-HONDA DEALERSHIP. THIS LIGHT FIRST APPEARED AROUND 58,000 MILES WHEN I TURNED THE CAR ON IN MY DRIVEWAY TO GO TO WORK. I CALLED MY LOCAL MECHANIC (I.E NOT A HONDA DEALERSHIP) TO ASK TO BRING IT IN FOR DIAGNOSIS, BUT BY THE TIME I BROUGHT IT IN ABOUT 3 DAYS LATER, THE LIGHT HAD GONE OFF. MY MECHANIC READ THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE P0430. PER TSB #17-036, THIS CODE MEANT I NEEDED TO UPDATE PCM SOFTWARE, AND HE TOLD ME TO TALK IT TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP. FROM THIS POINT UNTIL I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP, THE WARNING CONTINUED TO GO ON AND OFF FOR DAYS AT A TIME. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 6/8/19 AND THE CAR WAS AT 59,184 MILES. I TOLD THE SERVICE ADVISOR WHAT I HAD DONE SO FAR. AFTER DIAGNOSIS, HE INFORMED ME THAT THE PCM SOFTWARE HAD ALREADY BEEN UPDATED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER, AND THAT THEY FOUND CODE P0430 B2 CAT FAULT, INDICATING THE NEED FOR A NEW CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THIS FELL UNDER THE EMISSIONS WARRANTY AND IT WAS REPLACED A NOT COST TO ME. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, THE WARNING LIGHT PATTERN OCCURRED AGAIN, COMING ON AND OFF SPORADICALLY. I WAITED A WHILE BEFORE TAKING IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, BUT TOOK IT THERE ON 9/21/19 WITH 64,788 MILES. THIS TIME, THE DIAGNOSIS WAS CODES P0430 AND P219B, WHICH IS EXPLAINED IS TSB #18-025, AND I WAS INFORMED I WOULD NEED NEW FUEL INJECTORS, WHICH WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER ANY REMAINING WARRANTY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA PILOT. WHILE DRIVING 30 TO 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE AND JERKED. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA PILOT. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE RPM INCREASED TO HIGH AND VEHICLE ACCELERATED SPONTANEOUSLY. THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED ROUGHLY FROM FIRST TO SECOND AND THIRD TO FOURTH GEARS. THE EMISSION, TRANSMISSION, LANE ASSIST, TOWING AND POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HOLM AUTOMOTIVE CENTER (2005 N BUCKEYE AVE, ABILENE, KS 67410 (785) 263-4000) WHERE THE CODES WERE RESET BUT NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LITTLE APPLE TOYOTA (3002, 2828 AMHERST AVE A, MANHATTAN, KS 66502(785) 539-7441) WHERE IT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
VEHICLE STATIONARY. AUTO ENGINE IDLE ENGAGED. CAR LOSSES POWER. BEEN HAPPENING FOR SEVERAL YEAR. DEALER SAYS NOTHING WRONG. NOW ON TWO OCCASIONS, CAR HAS STALLED WHEN BRAKE RELEASED TO RE-ENGAGE ENGINE. CAR GOING INTO SHOP. CAR IS STATIONARY AND BASICALLY STALLS. SOMETIMES POWER LOSS DISABLES COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEMS
KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM
THE HOOD FLEXES IN THE WIND WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS ON A WINDY DAY. UNNERVING TO SEE IT POP UP AND DOWN. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY ADJUSTED THE "KNOBS" ON EACH SIDE. DIDN'T HELP. THEN LOGGED A TICKET WITH THEM AND THEY REPLACED THE LATCH. STILL A PROBLEM. WE'VE TRIED ADJUSTING THE KNOBS AGAIN, BUT IF ON THE HIGHWAY ON A WINDY DAY, IT STILL FLEXES. WE'VE SEEN OTHERS' COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET OF THE SAME PROBLEM. AFRAID THE HOOD IS GOING TO POP UP IF A GUST CATCHES IT AND KILL SOMEONE. IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE TIME WE'VE OWNED IT (3 YEARS). THE LATEST WAS ON APRIL 29, 2019.
DRIVING BACK FROM A TRIP AND WAS TRYING TO EXIT THE HIGHWAY AND WHEN I ENGAGED THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. IT HAPPENED SO FAST THAT I THOUGHT I DID SOMETHING WRONG. ONCE I GOT BACK ON THE HIGHWAY I DROVE ABOUT 100 MILES AND WAS IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE. I DID NOT HAVE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED AND WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 55-60 MPH. AT ONE TIME I LET OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL TO ACCELERATE THE CAR WOULD NOT RESPOND. MY SPEED DROPPED FROM 55 MPH TO 25 MPH WHICH I WAS CONSTANTLY PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. I WAS ALMOST HIT FROM THE REAR AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR STARTED ACCELERATING DUE TO CONTINUALLY PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. THIS SPECIFIC INCIDENT LASTED ABOUT 10 SECONDS. MY CAR IS AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP WHICH THEY CANNOT FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE SINCE NO ERROR CODE WAS GENERATED. I'VE CONTACTED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ARE ADVISING TO TAKE THE CAR TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP FOR A SECOND OPINION.
SENSORS IN HO DA PILOT NOT WORK CORRECTLY. EXAMPLE: "KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM"TRUNS ON EVEN THO THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. THIS OCCURS WHEN CAR IS TURNED ON. LOCKS WILL NOT LOCK/UNLOCK WHEN PRESSING AND OF THE BUTTONS ON DRIVER, PASSENGER OR TRUNK. THIS OCCURS WHEN CAR IS STATIONARY.
IT ENGINE IS IDLE ALL THE TIME WHEN THE AC IS ON
"KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM" ISSUE KEEPS POPPING UP ON DASHBOARD
AT 38000 MILES THE PUSH BUTTON START BEGAN ACTING ERRATICALLY. WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED AND TURNED OFF IT TAKES 5 OR 6 PUSHES OF THE BREAK WITH SUCCEEDING DEPRESSIONS OF THE PUSH START FOR THE ENGINE TO FIRE UP. ONCE IT DOES TURN OVER, AN ERROR COMES UP FOR KEYLESS IGNITION
BACK UP CAMERA NOT WORKING.
The contact owns a 2016 Honda Pilot. The contact stated while at a stop light and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact attempted several times to restart the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to start up immediately. After several more attempts, the vehicle restarted and operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 23,000.
I HAVE A 2016 TOURING PILOT WITH JUST OVER 38,000 MILES. SINCE ABOUT 25,000 MILES I HAVE FELT THAT THERE WAS AN ODD HESITATION WITH THE AUTO-OFF FEATURE THAT I'D NOT NOTICED DURING THE INITIAL PERIOD OF OWNERSHIP. THE ISSUE ESCALATED TO THE POINT WHICH IT WOULD ACTUALLY STALL OUT AT AN INTERSECTION AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TURN BACK ON FOR A FEW MINUTES. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE BATTERY AND SAID THAT THEY COULD SEE THE ERROR AND THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE CAUSED BY THE BATTERY. A FEW MONTHS LATER THE ISSUE STARTED TO HAPPEN AGAIN AND STALLED FOR MY WIFE AGAIN WITH OUR KIDS IN THE CAR AT A BUSY INTERSECTION. THE CAR WENT BACK INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NOW HAD IT FOR CLOSE TO 6 WEEKS WITH LITTLE TO NO UPDATE AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON. THIS IS A HORRIBLY UNSAFE ISSUE AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS REFERENCED IN THIS BLOG: HTTPS://WWW.PILOTEERS.ORG/FORUMS/114-2016-THIRD-GENERATION-PILOT/157005-ELITE-SHUTS-OFF-STOP-LIGHT-5.HTML THE FACT THAT HONDA CAN NOT COME UP WITH A FIX FOR THE ISSUE IS A VERY SCARY THOUGHT. WE AS CONSUMERS NEED SOMEONE TO HELP HOLD HONDA ACCOUNTABLE TO PROVIDE A SAFE DRIVING EXPERIENCE FOR OUR FAMILIES.
THIS CAR HAS ISSUES WITH THE AUTO IDLE RESTARTING. APPROXIMATELY 8 TIMES OVER THE LAST 1.5 YEARS THE CAR DOES NOT RESTART AFTER ITS IDLE. IT HAS TO BE PUT INTO PARK, ENGAGE THE BRAKE AND TRY TO RESTART. THIS TAKES MULTIPLE TRIES TO GET THE CAR'S ENGINE TO START AGAIN. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS. 7/8 TIMES I WAS AT A STOP SIGN OR STOP LIGHT, BUT ONCE I WAS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC WITH AN 18 WHEELER BEHIND ME WHEN THE ENGINE WOULD NOT REENGAGE.
ERROR DISPLAY: KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, AFTER STARTED. IN MOTION, WHILE DRIVING ERROR DISPLAYED AND MP/H CHANGE WITHOUT ACCELERATING TO EVEN OVER 100 MP/H WHEN IF FACT DRIVING ABOUT 60 MP/H.
I HAVE A "KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM" MESSAGE ON AND OFF FOR ABOUT 4 OR 5 MONTHS, STARTED WHEN I HAD 37000 OR 38000 MILES. DEALER WILL REPLACE WITH ONLY A 1 YEAR WARRANTY. SEEMS LIKE THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH MANY PILOTS AT THE SAME MILEAGE. THE ERROR MESSAGE APPEARS WHEN THE SUV IS STARTED. IT STAYS ON AT ALL TIMES. THEN IT WILL TURN OFF AFTER A WEEK OR SO. REAPPEARS AFTER ANOTHER WEEK OR SO.
At 40,000 miles the vehicle was receiving the following WARNING message when started:Keyless System Start Problem. For 3 years it has consistently gone on and off for days. Honda states it’s a key fob battery change need - when this does NOT fix the problem. I am now being repeatedly referred back to their service dept. to pay for diagnostic when they know that this is a manufacturer issue.
HAVE A KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM ON MY 2016 HONDA PILOT. LIGHT IS ON FROM THE TIME YOU TURN THE VEHICLE ON. IT WILL OCCASIONALLY GO OFF BUT THEN REAPPEAR WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AGAIN. HAD THE KEY FOB IN MY POCKET AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT LOCK WHEN THE BUTTON ON THE DOOR WAS PRESSED. HAD TO USE THE REMOTE TO LOCK THE VEHICLE. NEED TO HAVE THE KEYLESS ACCESS REPLACED FOR $500+ PART IS CURRENTLY ON BACK ORDER WITH NO ETA. ACCORDING TO BLOGS OTHER PILOT OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE COULD THIS BE WHY THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER WITH NO ETA?? OVERALL NOT HAPPY WITH THE VEHICLE. HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES.
THERE IS A GASOLINE SMELL INSIDE THE CAR AND OUTSIDE I DONT SEE ANY LEAKING BUT THE SMELL IS MAKING ME WORRY

MY VEHICLE JUST DROVE 20K MILES, I AM GETTING A POPUP "KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM" VERY FREQUENTLY WHEN EVER I START MY CAR. MINE IS 2016 HONDA PILOT TOURING AWD. I WENT TO DEALER, FIRST DAY HE RESET SOME CODE AND THE WARNING MESSAGE WENT OFF. BUT IMMEDIATELY ON NEXT DAY IT CAME AGAIN. I WENT TO DEALER AGAIN AND THEY DID 2 HOURS OF INVESTIGATION AND TOLD , THEY WILL REPLACE THE BATTERY AND THEY ORDERED A PART. YESTERDAY MY PART WAS READY AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE REPLACED THE PART AND REPLACED THE FOB BATTERIES. THE WARNING WAS WENT OFF ON THAT DAY BUT, IT CAME AGAIN TODAY. I AM TOTALLY FRUSTRATED WITH THIS BEHAVIOR. WHEN I SEARCH ON THE FORUMS MOST OF THE PILOT CUSTOMERS HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND THEY HAVE REPORTED IN THIS FORUM. I AM NOT SURE HOW YOU WILL TAKE IT UP BUT I AM BIT CONCERNED ON THE VEHICLE SAFETY HOW IT BEHAVIOR. I AM GETTING THIS MESSAGE WHEN EVER I START THE VECHILE. TRIED WITH BOTH KEY FOBS AND WITH NEW BATTERIES BUT NO LUCK. MY DEALER IS HONDA OF CONCORD, BRUTON SMITH BLVD, CONCORD. NC
Auto Idle System failure. This has been a problem for several years and continues to be a safety issue. If I don't disable the auto idle feature my car will die when I take my foot off of the brake to accelerate.. The vehicle has to do a complete computer reset before I am able to restart the engine. This has happened many, many times at stop lights when the light turns green and I attempt to accelerate, when waiting to merge onto the frontage road of I-35, when turning onto a main road out of a parking lot when traffic is backed up but someone was attempting to let me into the lane (I was half in and half out of the parking lot). In every situation, there is someone behind me expecting me to go (rightfully so). I could easily be hit if the other drivers weren't paying attention. This is a safety hazard and needs to be recalled and repaired. I've asked my mechanic about it and the Honda dealership. No one knows what to do. I've replaced the battery twice thinking maybe that would help but it didn't.
2016 HONDA PILT LX, 38000 MILES "KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM" LIGHT COMES ON EVERY FEW DAYS. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH A GROUND WIRE AND THAT THEY FIXED IT BUT FEW DAYS AFTER MY VISIT THE LIGHT CAME BACK UP.
I HAVE 45000 MILES ON A 2016 PILOT EX. I RECENTLY BEGAN GETTING A KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM ERROR MESSAGE IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. ENGINE WILL NOT START, HAVE TO CONSTANTLY KEEP PRESSING THE START BOTTON AND STEPPING FOOT BREAK. ALSO NOTICE MY "WALK AWAY LOCK FEATURE" STOPPED WORKING. I CHECK ONLINE AND A LOT OF HONDA PILOT OWNER ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. PLEASE HELP INVESTIGATE. THANK YOU.
KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM
MY 2016 HONDA PILOT IS SHOWING THE MESSAGE ON THE DASH WHICH SAYS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE KEYLESS START SYSTEM. IT COMES AND GOES FROM TIME TO TIME, AND I'VE CHANGED THE FOB BATTERIES WITH NO FIX. I HAD THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THE PUSH BUTTON CHECKED OUT OK, AND SUGGESTED CHANGING OUT THE TPMS/KEYLESS ACCESS CONTROL UNIT AS A POSSIBLE FIX. AT $600.00 COST AND MAYBE NO FIX, I'M NOT HAPPY. MANY OTHER OWNERS HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM, AND ITS TIME IN MY OPINION FOR HONDA TO HAVE A RECALL TO REMEDY THE ISSUE. THIS ISSUE ONLY OCCURS UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE AND STAYS ON UNTIL SHUTTING DOWN THE ENGINE.
I AM GETTING A "KEYLESS START PROBLEM" ERROR ON MY DASH BUT MY CAR IS WORKING FINE. I HAVE ALREADY REPLACED FOB BATTERIES AND RESET SYSTEM BY DISCONNECTING BATTERY. FROM MY RESEARCH ONLINE, THIS HAS BEEN A BIG ISSUE FOR HONDA PILOTS.
CABIN FILLS-UP WITH GASOLINE FUMES WHEN AT REST/IDE/NOT MOVING. FUMES COME FROM AIR VENTS AND ONLY HAPPENS WHEN PULLING AIR FROM OUTSIDE. NO GASOLINE SMELL OCCURS WHEN AIR SYSTEM IS IN RE-CIRCULATION MODE. GASOLINE SMELL GOES AWAY WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION. I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN BOZEMAN, MT AND THEY STATED THEY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND THE COMPUTER DOES NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. TECHNICIANS SAY THEY CAN'T SMELL THE FUMES BUT EVERY PASSENGER THAT RIDES IN MY CAR CAN EVENTUALLY SMELL THE GASOLINE FUMES. I THINK THE TECHNICIANS CAN'T SMELL IT SINCE THEY ARE DESENSITIZED FROM BEING EXPOSED TO GAS FUMES ROUTINELY, SO NOT THEIR FAULT. GASOLINE SMELL CAN ALSO BE DETECTED WHEN IN THE GARAGE (CAR NOT RUNNING) AND NO OTHER SOURCE OF GASOLINE IS IN THE GARAGE (GARAGE DOORS WERE LEFT OPEN FOR 15 MINUTES TO EVACUATE ANY FUMES FROM WHEN CAR WAS ON PRIOR TO GAS SMELL). THIS STARTED TO OCCUR APPROX. NOVEMBER 2018. I SEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND A FORUM OF OTHERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. SOME STATE THAT TECHNICIANS EVENTUALLY FOUND LIQUID GAS IN THE EVAPORATION CANISTER. IT STOPS ENTIRELY, OFTEN IN TRAFFIC AND THEN YOU HAVE TO PUT CAR IN PARK, RESTART ENGINE AND THEN PUT IN DRIVE AND GO AGAIN. BY THIS TIME TRAFFIC IS ALREADY MOVING AROUND YOU. VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARY ON FREEWAY AND AT INTERSECTIONS. I RECEIVE A KEYLESS START SYSTEM PROBLEM ERROR MESSAGE THAT COMES ON WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED. I HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERIES IN MY REMOTES AND SOMETIMES THE MESSAGE GOES AWAY FOR A DAY OR TWO. I HAVE PUT A BRAND NEW BATTERY IN THE CAR AND THE MESSAGE WENT AWAY FOR A DAY AND THEN RETURNED. THE MESSAGE COMES AND GOES RANDOMLY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THERE MAY BE CORROSION AT THE GEAR SHIFTER AREA, WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED THE WIRES TO SHORT. THE DEALER REPLACED THE GEAR SHIFTER, BUT THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER SHIFTED INTO PARK WHEN REVERSING, AND SHIFTED INTO PARK WHEN THE GEAR WAS IN DRIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,536. *BF
THE KEYLESS START SYSTEM LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. WE BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE HONDA DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE KEY FOB. THE LIGHT WENT AWAY FOR A LITTLE WHILE, BUT RETURNED. ONCE IN A WHILE IT GOES AWAY, BUT IT ALWAYS RETURNS FOR NO REASON.
AT 38000 MILES VEHICLE DISPLAYED AN ERROR CODE RELATING TO THE KEYLESS START. A WEEK LATER THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. UNHOOKED THE BATTERY TO RESET THE SYSTEM AND THE ERROR CAME BACK. DEALER REPLACED THE START BUTTON BUT ISSUE RETURNED A FEW DAYS LATER.
DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW. WHEN THE BUTTON IS PRESSED IT BRINGS THE WINDOW DOWN. HOWEVER THIS FEATURE IS AUTOMATIC FOR ROLLING THE WINDOW UP AND DOWN. THIS IS NOT WORKING. KEYLESS START STOPPED WORKING, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT CONCERN IS THE IGNITION FOR BUTTON START IS ACTING UP. TODAY IT WORKED IN THE MORNING BUT LATER IN THE AFTERNOON THE CAR WOULD NOT START. DASH BOARD LIGHTS WERE FLICKERING. THIS EVENING TRIED AGAIN AND IT WORKED FINE NOW. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT SAFETY CONCERN.
