WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A 25-35 MPH FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINE. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
GAS WAS LEAKING FROM TANK TO THE INSIDE OF THE CAR UNDER THE BACK SEAT AROUND THE PLATE THAT COVERS THE FUEL PUMP. GAS POOLED UNDERNEATH THE THE BACK SEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE. WHEN SEAT WAS REMOVED THE FOAM ON THE UNDERNEATH SIDE WAS SATURATED WITH GAS AND FROM THE TOP OF THE SEAT YOU COULD PUT PRESSURE ON THE SEAT AND GAS WOULD LITERALLY LEAK OUT OF THE SEAT. THE WEEK BEFORE OUR GRANDCHILDREN WERE IN THE BACK SEAT AND WE ALL WERE COMPLAINING OF HEADACHES. THE SMELL IS STILL THERE AFTER 2 ATTEMPT OF THE CAR DEALERSHIP SPRAYING IT AND ORDERING A NEW BACK SEAT. WE FEEL LIKE WE SHOULD HAVE A NEW CAR OUT OF THIS BECAUSE IT IS NOT FIXED. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN SO DANGEROUS. THE PERSON AT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US WE WERE VERY LUCKY PEOPLE. IF WE HAD SMOKED OR SOMEONE THREW A CIGARETTE OR MATCH IT WOULD HAVE EXPLODED. ALSO HE SAID AFTER THE PLATE GOT SO FULL, IT COULD HAVE GONE BACK ON THE EXHAUST AND IT WOULD HAVE BLOWN. WHEN I THINK WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED IT MAKES ME SICK. MY ONLY HOPE IS THERE IS NOT ANOTHER ONE OUT THERE LIKE IT BECAUSE IT COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS. THIS CAR SHOULD NEVER HAVE MADE IT OFF THE LINE. THIS MAKES ME THINK THAT THEY DO NOT INSPECT THEIR CARS VERY WELL IF ONE OR MORE GOT BY WITH SOMETHING AS DANGEROUS AS A GAS LEAK.*AK
ENGINE CHECK LIGHT IS COMING AND WHENEVER I FILLUP GAS THE CAR TAKES TOO MUCH TIME TO START BUT ONCE ITS ON RAOD IT RUNS FINE AND AGAIN WHEN I FILLUP THE GAS THE SAME PROBLEM. *AK
DURING AN ACCIDENT SEAT BELT DISENGAGED AND AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION, AND VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER.*AK
CONSUMER STATES WHILE STARTING VEHICLE UP USING THE AIR CONDITIONER OR HEATER THERE IS A POWDER SMELL THAT COMES OUT OF THE VENTS CONSUMER STATES HAVING TO NOTIFY DEALERSHIP MECHANIC STATES ITS JUST FUEL THAT NEEDS TO BURN OFF.
BRAKES GRIND, THERE IS BRAKE DUST ALL OVER HUB CAP, AND SOMETIMES WHEN BRAKING BRAKE PEDAL HAS TO BE PRESSED ALMOST TO THE FLOOR TO STOP. *AK IN ADDITION TO PERIODIC SQUEAKING NOISES, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THIS WAS NORMAL. *JG
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE IT IS BURNING A LOT OF OIL. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED HOWEVER UNABLE TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM.*AKTHE DOOR WINDOWS ARE LOOSE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED TWICE. THERE IS DECOLORIZATION WITH THE STEERING WHEEL. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED FOUR TIMES. *JG
REC'D RECALL NOTICE #02V167000 IN MAIL. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP. INFORMED BY MECHANIC NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR RECALL REPAIRS. MR
CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL REGARDING THE A-PILLAR, HOWEVER CONSUMER STATED THE DRIVE IS TOO FAR, AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE RECALL PERFORMED IN HIS LOCAL AREA.*JB
THE VEHICLE IDLED ROUGH. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND THE PULSE GENERATOR WAS REPLACED. THE CONSUMER PICKED UP THE VEHICLE AND STILL EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE SHOP ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WITH NO RESULTS. TS SCC
THE CONSUMER WAS CONCERNED ABOUT RECALL#02V167000, DUE TO THE FACT SHE EXPERIENCED PREVIOUS HEAD INJURIES. SCC *JB
CONSUMER PULLED FROM THE VEHICLE AFTER MUFFLER OVER HEATER CAUSING VEHICLE TO CATCH FIRE. *PH THE CAUSE OF FIRE WAS PERHAPS DUE TO FAULTY HEAT SHIELDS. AT 27,000 THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR AN ENGINE LIGHT AND SQUEAKING BRAKES. *JB
