WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CAR THE DEALER SHIP FAIL TO DISCLOSE HOW THE BLUE LINK REMOTE WORKED. I PAID FOR THE FIRST YEAR 99.00 AND IT EXPIRE ON 7/29.2016 THEY DO NOT RENEW IT BECAUSE I HAVE TO BUY OTHER EXTRA PACKAGE THAT I DO NOT NEED COSTING ME AN EXTRA 99.00 IN TOTAL IT WILL BE 198.00. I JUST NEED THE REMOTE CONTROL SERVICE THAT IS 99.00 I FEEL CHEAT BY HYUNDAI AND ALL MY FRIENDS WITH HYUNDAI VEHICLES FEEL THE SAME.
I WAS BACKING OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE AND THE CAR LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER. I HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK. I WAS ABLE TO PULL FORWARD INTO THE PARKING SPACE AND WAIT FOR THE TOW TRUCK. THE CAR IS NEW, I ONLY HAVE 1,032 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. THIS WAS ON A SATURDAY, AND I HAVE NO EXPLANATION AS OF RIGHT NOW FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AS TO WHY THIS HAPPENED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND SHUT DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AFTER A FEW MINUTES, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (ADVANTAGE HYUNDAI, HICKAVILLE, NEW YORK) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED TEN DAYS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT CALL THE CONTACT BACK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,075.
ON JULY 12,2016 I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT AT THE BANK. MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AS I ENTERED THE SPACE. MY CAR THEN SEEMED TO MAKE A LOUD NOISE LIKE THE ENGINE WAS REVERING UPS IT THEN SHOT FORWARD LIKE A ROCKET. IT FELT SOMEONE HAD SMASHED BEHIND ME! LUCKILY THERE WERE PILLARS IN FRONT OF THE BANK WHICH PREVENTED MY CAR FROM CRASHING IN THE BANK. I HAVE FOUND SEVERAL COMPLAINTS WITH THE 2015 HYUNDAI SONATAS DOING THIS HOWEVER THERE IS NO RECALL. COST OF DAMAGE WAS $9,051. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE!
TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS, DISENGAGES IN MOTION MAKING THE CAR HESITATE, STALL AND BUCK THIS USUALLY OCCURS WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC FROM A STAND STILL...OR WHEN BACKING OR MOVING FORWARD SLOWLY AS IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC OR WHEN IN A DRIVE THROUGH..
2015 HYUNDAI SONATA ENGINE FAILURE, EXACTLY SIMILAR TO SYMPTOMS DESCRIBED IN RECALL ARTICLES FOR OLDER MODELS UP TO 2014. HYUNDAI WARRANTY COMPANY DECLINED THE REPAIR CLAIMING IT WAS AN OWNERS MAINTENANCE ISSUE. I DON'T HAVE HARD RECEIPTS FOR ALL OF THE OIL CHANGES I'VE COMPLETED ON THE CAR. THE CAR GAVE NO WARNING OF PENDING FAILURE (NO TEMPERATURE WARNING OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT). THE CAR HAD ONLY 33,000 MILES ON IT. I HAS BEEN NEARLY A YEAR SINCE THE FAILURE. I CAN'T FIND A REPLACEMENT ENGINE AT A REASONABLE PRICE BECAUSE OF THE ENGINE FAILURES FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S CARS. I'LL BE FORCED TO SEEK LEGAL ACTION (WHICH I CAN'T AFFORD) IF HYUNDAI DOESN'T HONOR THEIR WARRANTY AGREEMENT. I EVEN BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE, I WAS DRIVING TO A RELATIVES HOME. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY FOR ABOUT 7 MINUTES, AND THEN ONTO A SIDE ROAD BEFORE THE FAILURE. AFTER HAVING THE CAR TOWED TO A HYUNDAI DEALER, THEY OPENED THE ENGINE, TOOK PICTURES AND SENT THEM TO HYUNDAI WARRANTY COMPANY.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR LOSES POWER. WHAT CAUSES THIS IS A LEAKING MANIFOLD. MY FRIEND HAS A 2015 SONATA WITH THE SAME ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE AND ACTIVATING THE AIR CONDITIONER, THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND WOULD NOT RESTART. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE JUMPSTARTED, BUT BEGAN TO INDEPENDENTLY DECELERATE FROM 50 TO 25 WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
WITH ONLY 27,000 MILES, THE CAR STALLED AT AN INTERSECTION WITHOUT ANY WARNING ON A JUNE DAY IN 2016 IN TEXAS. TOWED TO DEALERSHIP FOR WARRANTY REPAIR. WARRANTY COMPANY DECLINED THE REPAIR, CLAIMING "CUSTOMER MAINTENANCE ISSUE". WARRANTY COMPANY REFUSED REPAIR AFTER LOOKING ONLY AT PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE ENGINE. WARRANTY COMPANY DIDN'T REQUEST, AND DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO EVEN ACCEPT OWNERS MAINTENANCE RECORDS. AFTER THE REPAIR WAS DECLINED, I RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT ABOUT RECALL FOR PREVIOUS MODEL YEARS 2011-2014. THAT RECALL WAS A RESPONSE TO SIMILAR FAILURES AND CUSTOMER'S SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ABOUT WARRANTY COMPANY AUTOMATICALLY CLAIMING "CUSTOMER MAINTENANCE ISSUE". DEALERSHIP SHARED WITH ME THEIR COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE WARRANTY COMPANY WHICH ASKED ONLY FOR PHOTOS OF THE PROBLEM. HOW CAN THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE BE DETERMINED BY PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE ENGINE WHEN THE PREVIOUS FOUR MODEL YEARS USED THE SAME EXACT ENGINE MODEL RESULTING IN MAJOR RECALLS? ALSO, HOW CAN THE WARRANTY COMPANY REFUSE TO SEE MAINTENANCE RECORDS AND THEN BLAME OWNER'S FOR THE FAILURE? CLEARLY THE COMPANY IS EXECUTING A NATIONWIDE POLICY OF DECLINING REPAIRS EVEN WHEN THEY ARE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. HOW MANY SIMILAR FAILURES WERE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY?
1ST EVENT JUNE 10 2016 - CAR STOPPED ON THE FWY AT SPEED OVER 65 MPH. STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL AND WAS NO POWER. ATTEMPT TO RESTART AND CAR RUN ROUGH. CAR TOWED TO DEALER (TUTTLE CLICK-HYUNDAI -IRVINE,CA.) 2ND EVENT JULY 18 2016 - DRIVING ON FWY AT SPEEDS OVER 65 MPH, GAS PEDAL STARTS VIBRATING, DRIVING BECOME ROUGH, CLICKING NOISE FROM ENGINE WHEN IDLING. FILE COMPLAIN WITH DEALER, DEALER SAY IT DID NOT FIND ANYTHING, BLAME THE SITUATION TO COSTCO GAS, AND IT SAYS THAT THE CAR REQUIRES TO USE DIFFERENT TYPE OF GAS (SUCH: CHEVRON, SHELL).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH UPHILL, THE STEERING COLUMN VIBRATED. THE VIBRATION INTENSIFIED AS THE VEHICLE'S SPEED INCREASED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PERFORMING AS DESIGNED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR APPROXIMATELY SIX MONTHS. THE MANUFACTURER SENT A REGIONAL SERVICE SUPERVISOR TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500.
ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THE DASH FLASHED "CHECK TPMS" MEANING CHECK AIR IN THE TIRES. ON ALL 3 OCCASIONS THE CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR.THE NEXT OCCASION THE CHECK TPMS CAME ON SO I PUT AIR IN THE TIRES AND DROVE AROUND THE CORNER TO RESET THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR (COMPUTER). UPON COMING AROUND THE CORNER TO PARK THE CAR THE CHECK TPMS WARNING CAME ON AGAIN THE CAR POWERED DOWN AND I COASTED TO PARK. THE NEXT MORNING I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE CAR CHECKED I WAS TOLD FROM JARED THAT THE TECHNICIAN DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE AND THAT " HE THINKS, MAYBE, MIGHT HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM. AT THIS POINT I DID NOT PICK UP THE CAR BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT GUARANTEE THE CAR HAD BEEN FIXED AND THAT IT WILL NOT DIE WHILE DRIVING AROUND HYUNDAI SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THEY WERE NOT SURE BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM I HAD WITH THE CAR. I LEFT THE CAR THERE CONTACTED HYNDAI CORPORATE WHERE THEY OPENED A CASE #9327831 .. THEY IN TURN HAD A FAST TEAM WORKING ON MY CAR AND THEY ARE NOT SURE IF THE CAR IS FIXED OR NOT BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE SAME PROBLEM. THE HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR A MONTH NOW STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I WAS TOLD IT DOES NOT FALL UNDER LEMON LAW UNLESS THE CAR DOES THE SAME THING AGAIN. BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF THE CAR IS FIXED 100% IT ONLY HAS 12,513 MILES ON IT. CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO DRIVE THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT MOVE TO WHERE I COULD DRIVE THE CAR.

THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT WATER SPLASHED INTO THE WIRING SYSTEM. THE WIRING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V325000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 26,000.
VEHICLE HAS BAD HESITATION SINCE 20,000 MILES STALLS, LOSS OF POWER AT TIMES STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL AND CAR DOESN'T MOVE, AFRAID TO DRIVE A NEW CAR THAT I PAY FOR IS CRAZY BUT AFRAID TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT SO I DO NOT DRIVE IT. HYUNDAI KEEPS GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND THAT THE COMPUTER UPDATES WILL FIX THIS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM BUT I HAVE HAD 3 UPDATES AND IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE AND NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT EXCEPT TAKE MY MONEY. THESE 7 SPEED DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION HAVE REAL ISSUES SERIOUS ISSUES THAT AN CAUSE A DEATH IF THEY LOSE POWER AND GET IN AN ACCIDENT SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED!!! THE 7 SPEED DUAL CLUTCH IS NOT ENGAGING IN THE 1ST AND 2ND GEAR AND IT CAUSES THE HESITATION AND STALLING THAT ALL THESE CARS ARE HAVING AND HYUNDAI KNOWS IT IS A HUGH ISSUE SO THEY DID'NT PUT THIS TRANSMISSION IN THE NEW CARS THEY WENT BACK TO THE 6 SPEED SHIFTRONIC WHICH WAS BETTER...BUT LEAVES THE PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT THESE HORRIBLE MODELS LEFT IN THE DIRT THESE CARS NEED A RECALL ASAP I WILL NOT DRIVE MINE NOR WILL I PUT MY CHILD IN IT THATS SAID I PAY FOR A CAR TO SIT IN MY DRIVEWAY AND NO ONE WANTS TO HELP ANY OF US!!!!! I SEE THOUSANDS WITH THE SAME ISSUE AS MINE ITS NOT FAIR.
WHILE TRAVELING ON I-65 I ACCIDENTALLY ENGAGED THE DRIVERS REAR WINDOW SWITCH AND THE WINDOW ROLLED DOWN ABOUT HALF WAY. ALL OF A SUDDEN A LOUD WHOMP, WHOMP, NOISE STARTED AND THE WHOLE CAR SHOOK AND THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO VIBRATE EXCESSIVELY. I REALLY THOUGHT THE CAR WAS ABOUT TO COME APART AT 65 MPH. IT TOOK ONLY A FEW SECONDS TO REALIZE WHAT HAD HAPPENED, UPON ROLLING THE WINDOW UP STABILITY RETURNED INSTANTLY. TO TEST IF WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS REAL I PURPOSELY LET DOWN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW DOWN AND THE EXTREMELY LOUD NOISE AND INSTABILITY IMMEDIATELY RETURNED AND JUST AS QUICKLY DISAPPEARED WHEN I LET UP THE REAR WINDOW. THE A/C WAS ON, WHETHER OR NOT THAT EFFECTED THE PROBLEM, I DON'T KNOW. THE WHOLE EPISODE SCARRED ME AND MY WIFE SO BAD WE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CAR. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING THIS INCIDENT. THE WHOLE REAR END OF THE CAR SEEMED AS IF IT WAS BEING HIT FROM EACH SIDE INDEPENDENTLY CAUSING THE REAR END TO SHIFT ABOUT A FOOT FROM LEFT TO RIGHT . I WILL NOT BE KEEPING THIS CAR.
ON MAY 30, 2016 AT AROUND 9 PM I STOPPED MY 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND WITHOUT WARNING THE ENGINE DIED. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED TO GREEN. NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON UNTIL THE ENGINE DIED. AFTER ABOUT TWO MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR. I TURNED LEFT AT THE INTERSECTION WHERE MY CAR HAD STALLED AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION THE ENGINE DIED AGAIN. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE. EXITED THE CAR AND WAVED TRAFFIC BY. TWO MORE MINUTES AND THE ENGINE STARTED AGAIN AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE THREE REMAINING BLOCKS TO MY HOME. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO OURISMAN HYUNDAI WHERE I BOUGHT IT. THEY HAVE HAD IT EVER SINCE. TODAY, JUNE 6, OURISMAN CALLED AND SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND I SHOULD RETURN THE LOANER CAR AND PICK UP MY SONATA. I WILL NOT PICK UP A SONATA THAT DIES IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. I WOULD LIKE TO LIVE. I CALLED HYUNDAI AMERICA AND REPORTED THE ISSUE AND THEY OPEN D A CASE FILE. I HAVE LEFT MESSAGES WITH THE GM AT OURISMAN AND HE HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALLS. OH, I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR (IT WAS A YEAR OLD) I TOLD THE SALESMAN THAT I DID NOT WANT A HERTZ, AVIS OR ANY OTHER RENTAL CAR. HE ASSURED ME IT WAS NOT PURCHASED FROM A CAR RENTAL COMPANY. AFTER OVER 5 HOURS AT THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS TOLD IT HAD BEEN FROM A RENTAL COMPANY. I WAS WORN OUT AND THOUGHT IT STILL HAD FOUR YEARS LEFT ON THE WARRANTY. I FEEL LIKE A FOOL. I HAVE ASKED HYUNDAI AMERICA TO BUY MY CAR BACK.

THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DECREASE IN SPEED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
AT ABOUT 7000 MI. THE ENGINE BEGAN BURNING OIL AT 13 K MI.IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE THEY SAY IT IS NORMAL BURNING 3/4 QT IN LESS THAN 3K MILES IS MORE POLLUTION THAN NORMAL I WOULD THINK
THE CAR AT ABOUT 7K MILES STARTED USING OIL A QT, EVERY 2500 MI. THEY ARE TELLING ME IT IS NORMAL . IT IS POLLUTING MORE THAN THAN NORMAL PLUS FOULING THE PLUGS OVER TIME
MY 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA HAS BEEN BACK AND FORTH TO THE DEALER. EVERY TIME I TURN AROUND THE THIS CAR HAS A RECALL. I DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THE RECALL UNTIL A LIGHT POPS UP OR I HAVE A WEIRD NOISE WHILE DRIVING. ONE TIME THE CAR JUST FELT WEIRD WHILE DRIVING AND I WENT TO GET IT CHECKED OUT AND FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RECALLS. FIRST SEATBELT, THEN ENGINE LINE NEEDED REPLACING, THEN ANOTHER PART NEEDED REPLACING, THEN ANOTHER. AFTER GOING THERE MONDAY FOR FOR THE ENGINE IMMOBILIZER, THE BRAKE HOLD LIGHT BEING I WAS TOLD SOMETHING WAS REPLACED, AND OH A RECALL WAS HANDLED. THEN TO COME BACK FRIDAY AND AFTER 4-5 HOURS BE TOLD THE ABS HAS TO BE REPLACED, MEANING I HAVE TO COME BACK BECAUSE IT HAS TO BE ORDERED. THEN, AFTER LEAVING, NOW THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT IS ON, AND THERE APPEARS TO BE ENOUGH AIR IN EACH TIRE!! SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. NOTE TO SELF, DON'T BY A CAR BEFORE THE YEAR IT COMES OUT. BOUGHT THIS 2015 IN 2014. I REALLY THINK THE MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO NOTIFY CONSUMERS OF THESE RECALLS. I SHOULDN'T FIND OUT ABOUT THEM ONLY AFTER BRINGING THE CAR IN FOR AN ISSUE OR AN OIL CHANGE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO DID NOT YET DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
I PURCHASED A USED 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA WITH 43K MILES. I HAVE HAD IT FOR THREE MONTHS WITH MINOR PROBLEMS SUCH AS SLUGGISH ACCELERATION, HARD DECELERATION WHEN REMOVING FOOT FROM GAS PEDAL, AND A NOISY ENGINE. HOWEVER, ON 4-8-2016 AT ABOUT 7:30 AM, I WAS ATTEMPTING A LEFT TURN ON A BUSY METROPOLITAN STREET WHEN THE 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA SHUT DOWN SUDDENLY, COMPLETELY TURNED OFF! ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE AND THEN WENT DEAD. THE 2015 SONATA CAME TO A STOP, AND THERE WAS A TRUCK APPROACHING AT A HIGH SPEED RATE THAT HAD TO SWERVE AROUND ME TO PREVENT A COLLISION WITH ME. I WAS LUCKY THE DRIVER WAS PAYING ATTENTION. THIS PROBLEM IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED DUE TO THIS PROBLEM, WHICH SEEMS TO BE OCCURRING IN MANY 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA VEHICLES. WHILE DRIVING AND TURNING ONTO AN INTERSECTION THE CAR'S ENGINE QUIETLY TURNED OFF LEAVING ME IN THE MIDDLE OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL BUT NO REACTION. IT IS INTERMITTENT AND RANDOM BUT THE FREQUENCY IS INCREASING. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED SO THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO A 2ND DEALER WHO FOUND A CODE PERTAINING TO ECM OVERHEATING. HYUNDAI ADVISED THE DEALER TO CLEAR THE CODE AND RETURN THE CAR TO ME. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH HYUNDAI CUSTOMER CARE ON 12/16/15 AND RECEIVED AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT EMAIL THAT A REPRESENTATIVE WOULD CONTACT ME IN 3-5 DAYS. ON 12/21 I CONTACTED HYUNDAI CUSTOMER CARE, EXPLAINED THE CAR WASNT SAFE TO DRIVE SO WHAT SHOULD I DO. I WAS TOLD HYUNDAI WOULD NOT OFFER A LOANER CAR BUT I COULD ASK MY DEALER IF THEY WOULD PROVIDE ONE AT THEIR COST. I ASKED ABOUT A REPRESENTATIVE CONTACTING ME AND I WAS TOLD IT HASNT BEEN 5 DAYS YET SO I NEEDED TO BE PATIENT. AS OF 12/30/15 I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM HYUNDAI CUSTOMER CARE. *JS

ON 11/15 THE BATTERY AND OIL LIGHT CAME ON WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE AND IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE LIGHTS THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. I SAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND HAD TO RESTART MY VEHICLE AND THEN DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS, "2691 PERFORMED ALL SYSTEM FAULT CODE SEARCH AND TSB SEARCH. NO FAULT CODES STORED AT THIS TIME AND NO RELATED TSBS FOR CUSTOMER CONCERN AS DESCRIBED." THE DEALERSHIP LATER FOUND A WARNING SAYING TO REPROGRAM THE SENSOR AND REPROGRAMMED THE SENSOR AS THE "FIX". I OPENED A CASE WITH HYUNDAI AND THE RESULTS OF THE CASE WAS TO OBTAIN A PRINT OUT OF THE ERROR CODES (WHICH IS SHOWING NONE) AND TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB IF I WASN'T SATISFIED WITH THE OUTCOME. I AM CONCERNED THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT PROPERLY RECORDING ISSUES THAT MY VEHICLE ENCOUNTERS LIKE MY ENGINE SHUTTING OFF. THE MECHANICS AT THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT ERROR CODES ARE THROWN USUALLY WHEN THE SENSORS GO BAD. I AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY IN A VEHICLE THAT HYUNDAI WILL NOT FIX SOLELY BECAUSE THERE ARE NO ERROR CODES ON FILE.
