CERTAIN SEDANS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." IN THE ASSEMBLY OF THE HEADLAMPS, IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE A MEANS TO ADJUST THE HEADLAMPS. TAMPERPROOF CAPS TO PREVENT HORIZONTAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE HEADLAMPS ARE THEN INSTALLED. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES ARE MISSING THE TAMPERPROOF CAPS.
Remedy Status
DEALERS WILL INSTALL THE MISSING TAMPERPROOF CAPS ON THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN JANUARY 20, 2003. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT INFINITI AT 1-800-662-6200.
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE FUEL HOSE CONNECTION FOR THE OUTLET OF THE FUEL PUMP WHICH IS LOCATED AT THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY ATTACHED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ASSEMBLED AND COULD COME LOOSE WHILE DRIVING OR WHEN STARTING THE ENGINE.
Remedy Status
DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, PROPERLY ATTACH THE FUEL HOSE TO THE FUEL PUMP. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN OCTOBER 7, 2002. ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR OR CAM POSITION SENSOR MAY HAVE AN IMPROPER SOLDER JOINT DUE TO SOLDER DEFORMATION CAUSED BY HEAT STRESS ACCELERATED BY THE EXISTENCE OF FLUX RESIDUE DURING THE SOLDERING PROCESS.
Remedy Status
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CRANK POSITION SENSORS. CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR(S), AND IN SOME CASES, THE VARIABLE TIMING CONTROL SENSOR(S). VEHICLES INVOLVED IN A PREVIOUS RECALL CAMPAIGN, 01V357, ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS NEW CAMPAIGN. THE REPLACEMENT SENSORS USED IN THAT CAMPAIGN ARE ALSO AFFECTED. ZF SERVICE IS RECALL CERTAIN CLUTCH KIT ASSEMBLIES, PART NUMBER SX: K70358-01, SHIPPED TO WHOLESALERS AS SERVICE PARTS BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 1, 2010, AND MARCH 8, 2011. THESE SERVICE PARTS ARE INTENDED FOR USE ON MODEL YEAR 2003-2006 NISSAN 350Z AND INFINITI G35 VEHICLES. THE SX: K70358-01 CLUTCH KIT CONTAINS AN OVERSIZED CLUTCH DISC.

ZF SERVICE NOTIFY WHOLESALERS TO RETURN ANY AFFECTED CLUTCH KIT ASSEMBLIES STILL IN INVENTORY FOR FREE REPLACEMENT KITS. THIS CONDITION WILL CORRECT ITSELF AFTER THE FIRST START-UP AND USAGE OF THE CLUTCH KIT. HOWEVER, IF AN OWNER IS NOT SATISFIED WITH ITS PERFORMANCE, ZF SERVICES WILL REIMBURSE THE OWNER FOR THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT CLUTCH KIT AND A REASONABLE AMOUNT FOR ITS INSTALLATION. The contact owns a 2003 Infiniti G35. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 03V200000 (Exterior Lighting); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact was informed that the parts needed for the recall repair had been discontinued. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
MY CAR LEAKS FUEL UNDER REAR IF I AM FUELING. CAN ONLY ADD 2 TO 3 GALLONS OF FUEL OR FUEL WILL SPILL. ALSO HAVING THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR ISSUE. CAR WAS ON RECALL LIST FOR ALL 7 RECALLS AND VIN. CHECK SAYS ALL HAVE BEEN FIXED BY PREVIOUS OWNER. THE SAME PROBLEMS ARE HAPPENING AGAIN. YOU SHOULD DO ANOTHER RECALL
The ignition switch will not return to selection 3 after cranking.
The car engine cuts off / stalls while driving. This has happened multiple times. When driving on highway, the engine stops running, the car loses all power, and it is very difficult to restart the car. I had the car inspected and the local mechanic stated the crankshaft sensor/ camshaft censor is not working properly and he believed this was on recall, but Infiniti stated that my car is not covered. This is extremely dangerous - call stalls in the middle of the road with no power at all.
The contact owns a 2003 Infiniti. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds with the accelerator pedal was depressed, the transmission lever shifted inadvertently into neutral(N) for several few seconds and then remained in drive(D). The contact stated that the check engine, automatic transmission, and ABS warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that there was a constant gasoline odor present inside and outside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft position sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,515.
Complete center console not working. Stuck on auto a/c with no way to defrost windshield and it was raining. No modes work, no cd, no radio, no heat, no defrost- front or rear. I have already had this happen before, replaced motherboard and it cost me 1200.00 and that was in 2011. Now it has happened again. This is very unsafe. I had my children with me and it started raining and we couldnt get the windshield or rear to defrost so I couldnt see. Why arent all 2003's covered under the recall?????
Twice while driving approximately 70 mph on the freeway, the engine shut off without warning and the service engine soon warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle coasted. There was no shoulder to pull over to. I put it in neutral and it restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the camshaft and crank sensor failed. I looked online and saw a recall for the cam shaft and crank sensors for the, 2003 Infiniti G35. However, when I called, I was told that my vin was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 230,000.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.*DT*JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 INFINITI G35 SEDAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN AT AN INTERSECTION TO THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE SEIZED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO VEER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND BACK ON OPERATED AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED AN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER (LOUISVILLE INFINITI 8 AUTOCENTER DR, LOUISVILLE, KY 40299 502-499-5075) WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO ANY RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 23,000. *TR
WHILE YOUR DRIVING YOU LOSE CONTROL OF HEATING CONTROLS. IT WAS RAINING AND I HAD TO DEFROST WINDOWS. WELL IT STARTED HEATING THE FLOOR AND I COULD NOT CONTROL WHERE TO DIRECT HEAT. AND NOTE THE RADIO DOESN'T WORK WHEN IT OCCURS AS WELL.

CRANKSHAFT ANGLE SENSOR AND CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR BOTH FAILED CAUSING VEHICLE TO STALL AT LOW RPM'S (ENGINE DIES LOOSING BRAKES AND STEERING). INFINITY RECALL #R3021 HAS THIS PROBLEM YET MY VEHICLE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL FOR SOME REASON. CALLED INFINITY AND THEY WILL NOT HELP ME. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? MY COST IS $621.86 REPAIRS AND DIAGNOSIS.
MY INFINITI CLIMATE CONTROL HAS QUIT WORKING WHICH HAS LEFT ME WITH A CAR WITH NO HEAT OR DEFROST UNABLE TO DRIVE IN THE WINTER. THEIR WAS A RECALL ON MANY 2003 G35 BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY CAR ISNT COVERED. SEEMS TOO MUCH OF A COINCIDENCE MY CAR IS DOING EXACT COMPLAINT ON MANY OTHER CARS.
THE CHARGER PORT HAD SOME SORT OF MALFUNCTION AND MY CAR WAS BURNED TO THE FRAME. IT WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVE WAY AND HAD BEEN SINCE 8:00 P.M POLICE OFFICERS WHERE COMING IN MY FRONT DOOR AT AROUND 2:00 A.M. MY CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES.
THE COMPLETE CONSOLE LIGHTING HAS GONE OUT IN MY CAR. IT ONLY WORKS WHEN THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS ARE OFF. NOT ABLE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT AND DIFFICULT TO DRIVE DURING DAYLIGHT DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE THE SPEEDOMETER. VERY MUCH A SAFETY ISSUE.
2003 INFINITI G35 AIR-CONDITIONING UNIT SUDDENLY WILL NOT TURN OFF. UNABLE TO TURN ON THE DEFROSTER BECAUSE OF THIS MAKING VISIBILITY POOR AND VERY DANGEROUS AT TIMES. RADIO WILL NOT TURN ON. THIS IS WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE BUT NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT.
