NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2014 Infiniti Q50. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
On April 2nd I took my vehicle into the dealer for recall servicing. After leaving the dealer I had my vehicle inspected the next day by a third party repair shop and my brake caliper was missing the main bolt that connects to the brake pad. Brake pads were also less than 5% wear remaining. Myself and others were put in serious danger if my brakes had failed due to this serious oversight and disregard. My suspension also was unsafe in the rear but the dealer carried out a multi point inspection stating everything passed.
Manually have to unlock the shifter to put into gear with a key and the steering wheel is at 90 degrees all the way to the right and won't move back to standard positioning while driving.
MY CAR WAS DRIVING ALONG AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE STEERING WHEEL GOT EXTREMLY TIGHT AND THE CAR WAS HARD TO STEER, I HAD TO PULL OVER TURN THE CAR OFF AND THE LIGHT WAS STILL ON, I WAS LIKE 2 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE, TALKING TO A NEIGHBOR THAT HAS SAME CAR DIFFERENT YEAR, STATED TO CHECK RECALL HIS CALL DID THE SAMETHING YEARS AGO WHEN WE HAD A COLD (LOW TEMPERATURE) WINTER AND IT WAS REPLACED BY INFINITI DEALER. I NEVER HAD ANY ISSUE WITH THIS CAR UNTIL NOW.IT'S BEEN REALLY COLD. ALSO THIS CAR HAS ISSUES WHEN IT RAINS, IT DOESN'T WANT TO START, I HAVE CHECK OUT MANY VIDEOS STATING THE SUNROOF LEAKS OR TUBES FOR SUNROOF GETS CLOGGED AND LEAKS INTO THE BCM OR ECM SYSTEM CAUSES DAMAGE AND DASH LIGHTS. IM NOT A MECHANIC BUT I KNOW THAT THIS IS SOMETHING INFINITI/NISSIAN SHOULD HIGHLY LOOK INTO. JUST A GIRL,BUT I KNOW MULTIPLE PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BE POSTING THE SAME CONCERNS ON THEIR CARS AND IT'S NOT BEING LOOKED INTO
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel felt loose and made an abnormal knocking sound while making a turn. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to manually move the steering column from underneath the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who retrieved DTC: C1130 and C1138. The mechanic informed the contact that the failure could be related to the steering column, but a more detailed inspection of the steering system was needed to confirm the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 73,850.
Driveshaft broke while driving down the road!!
Car is showing a p0720 code which is an issue with the valve body. The car will not go past 3rd gear. This is a known problem with this vehicle. Infiniti is not issuing a recall. The car won't run and the consumer is having to foot the bill for the repair when they know it's an issue with the vehicle and the transmission.
I received a check engine light will driving which is now indicated as code P0720 and P0500. The car refused to shift past 3rd gear and began to sputter and would not allow me to go past 25mph disrupting the flow of traffic.
Both rear doors will not open from inside or outside.
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the message "No Key Detected" was displayed. The contact waved the key fob around the START/STOP button, and the message ceased. The contact stated that the light around the START/STOP button was orange, but was green before the failure. One day, while driving the vehicle, the engine failed to shut off after shifting into park(P) and pressing the START/STOP button. The contact made several attempts to turn off the vehicle. The message to "Visit the Dealer" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to several independent mechanics before finding a mechanic who was able to turn off the vehicle by removing the starter fuse. The mechanic advised the contact to tow the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer performed a water test and discovered that there was a leak in the sunroof, which had caused the failure. The mechanic discovered that water had leaked through the firewall in the body control module (BCM), causing the failure. The contact was provided with an estimate, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that after the repair, while the vehicle was idling, the vehicle intermittently jerked. There was no warning light illuminated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
Front and middle crossmember rusted out to the point they have no more structural effects issues discovered while fixing a know issue to these models : rusted out and leaking engine and transmission oils pans I had confirmation from the dealership and other independent repair shop that leaking oils pans are common for those models and can cause engine and transmission failure. For the crossmembers they are important structural components that directly affect suspension/direction and drivetrain secureness. If the plastic shrouds/cover are not taken off during inspection those issues will goes undetected until one of them reaches failure
RECALL NUMBER 16V430000 RECALL DATE 06/12/2016 STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP WHEN TURNING AND STEERING WHEEL TURNS UPSIDE DOWN MUST TURN VEHICLE OFF THEN TURN BACK ON FOR STEERING WHEEL TO CORRECT ITS SELF ITS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER THEY SAID THEY NEVER HEARD OF SUCH RECALL AND FOUND NOTHING ON MY VEHICLE PLEASE HELP ME I JUST NEED MY VEHICLE FIXED IVE BEEN A SERVICE MANAGER FOR 9 YEAR NOW ALL IM ASKING FOR IS HELP
The transmission Valve Assembly Control Module and Vehicle Speed Sensors have both failed. The car will not shift out of 2nd gear and cannot go faster than 40 mph. This is a safety issue. I had my car inspected by a certified mechanic and he diagnosed the problem. He also stated that that he has seen this a lot with Infinitis. I have maintained my car well but this is Not a maintenance issue. There are thousands of infiniti owners online stating that they had the exact same problem. I filed a case with Infiniti #52260861. This is a design flaw with All Infiniti cars and SUV's and it should be a Recall or at a minimum fixed for free by Infiniti. It cost me $3,500 to have my car fixed and this should be paid by Infiniti to me and all other Infiniti owners with this same problem.
Valve body went out at 90k miles . This is way common and i took care of the car.
Driving car normally and car randomly put itself in 3rd gear and slammed down hard almost making me cause a crash and injury to me. Went to dealership they told me I need a new transmission due to valve body that they don’t sell by itself. This is the second time a replacement was done and it happened
While driving and using the air conditioning system coming out of the vents, the drivers side windows fog up and cannot be cleared with a rag or paper towel. This causes the drivers side windows to become heavily congested causing it virtually impossible to see out of the window and look into the drivers side mirror causing a major blind spot. This is especially troubling in the warmer weather. I’ve avoided two accidents because of the the blind spots this creates not being able to see out of the drivers side window and trying to look into the drivers side mirror to see if the left lane is safe to merge into to.
I was stopped at a stop sign and pulled out into an intersection and lost power.
Valve body failure
Possible odometer fraud seller told me it has a clean title turn out it didnt
Transmission will not shift out of 3rd gear. I was driving down the freeway in 7th gear doing 75mph when all of sudden the transmission threw itself into 2nd gear then to 3rd. It felt like I was driving over a very large boulder and my transmission was being ripped out from under the car. Then my check engine light came on. So I had it towed home. I went for a test drive and the car will shift 1st, 2nd then 3rd but won’t go to 4th. It just stays in 3rd, it doesn’t slow down, it continues to rise in rpm and speed but won’t go out of 3rd gear. It also will not go into the manual shift mode either. I have read online about thousands of others with the same exact transmission having the same exact problem. I almost was not able to control my car so it most definitely is a big safety issue. I had autozone run a scan on it and it popped up all of these codes. My dash had zero warning lights at all before the incident happened.
Received PO270 code which is speed output sensor which requires valve body and TCM to be replaced. Dealership stated that there should be recall but is not. Very common issue and Infiniti would not provide any help.
Unknown- Vehicle left the highway and crashed into a tree in a ravine and then was fully engulfed in flames. Both occupants were DOA after the fire was put out.
Traction Control did not function when needed. I had my breaks and rotors replaced two days prior to the accident, which may have had an impact on the performance of the vehicle. Insurance representatives did look over the vehicle, as it is now in their possession. However, I do not feel as though they took the time to look into my concerns. There was no warnings on the Dash.
I was driving on the freeway and suddenly my vehicle would not shift into third geer causing the RPM s to go up to 4-5. As I tried to exit the car started shuddering and I was almost hit by multiple cars. I finally was able to exit and stop to park the vehicle. No warning lights came on at anytime. I had it towed to my mechanic and was told that it was the valve body control. My car only has 86k on it and I have taken exceptional care of it performing all maintenace like clockwork. Was told replacement was 8,500.00 for entire part including the housing or 4,500 and use my current housing. My mechanic checked with infinity who said they knew of this issue, but there is no recall and the part is only under warranty for 1 year.
Engine overheating and system not keeping engine cool, locks don’t work
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the passenger’s side air bag off warning light remained illuminated constantly. The contact stated that the warning light was also present while a passenger was seated in the seat. The contact used a diagnostic scanner to identify an abnormal voltage to the passenger’s side air bag sensor. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was provided. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V244000 (AIR BAGS). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 36,000.
vehicle would not drive pass 20mph, would not switch to manual mode , code p0720, p0500 v
Transmission valve body has failed 2 times in less than 4 years of ownership
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated that while driving at 45 MPH, the RPM inadvertently increased briefly before returning to normal. The check warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined a failure with the output speed sensor and transmission valve body. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
A short in the hybrid system's fuse relay caused the air conditioning control unit and compressor to fail. This further shorted out the hybrid junction box causing the hybrid battery recharge and power management system to malfunction. Gas mileage was very adversely affected and the hybrid system would have eventually failed causing a potential safety issue where the vehicle could lose propulsion suddenly while driving.
Speed sensor Is faulty on infiniti q50...had it replaced 9/28/22 for 3700.00 now on 3/03/23 I was told I need to replace the transmission for 7300.00 I research speed sensor it seem 2014 to 2015 infiniti q50 are having issues with speed sensor. I have read multiple complaints about this issue. It should be a recall on the speed sensor. Infiniti/Nissan know it I will never purchase a another Infiniti/Nissan vehicle again.
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, she noticed the check engine warning illuminated on the instrument panel. Additionally, the contact stated she heard a loud noise coming from the vehicle. On another occasion the contact stated while driving at 10 MPH the vehicle started jerking. The vehicle was towed to the dealer but was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 147,000.
The top of my drivers side heated seat got so hot it melted the leather without the heated button even being pushed in the on position.
I brought a lemon from premier auto kc out in Kansas city, Kansas! I was sold a lemon and have had major problems with the car since
The backup camera (parking assist camera) image is flipped left/right. The backup video display shows the rear view of the vehicle and super imposes the direction of travel with turn based on the position of the steering wheel. With image flipped left/right reversing the vehicle is counter intuitive and does not match the super imposed directional guidelines. When this malfunction occurred I nearly crashed into a parked car while trying to reverse into a parking spot. There is no indication of the malfunction. Driver must realize the image is flipped and turn in the opposite direction. This is definitely a safety risk.
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle independently decelerated to 10 MPH. The contact depressed the accelerator and observed that the RPMS was elevated however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact pulled off the road into a parking lot and turned off the vehicle. The contact stated that when she restarted the vehicle, the vehicle jerked while driving and failed to exceed 20 MPH. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the valve body assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Q50. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the chassis control system warning message was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V430000 (Steering) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
My drivers seat just stopped moving back and forward it got stuck in the back position while I was driving as I was adjusting the seat no warnings of any sort I took it back to the dealership I was told its a known issue but Infiniti has yet to recall
1. The Electric Power Assist System or DAS malfunctioned preventing the car to steer correctly. When pulling out of side street onto the main boulevard, the car would not steer straight, there was no response from the steering wheel input and the vehicle crashed into a parked car parked on the side of the road 2. The safety of the driver and others were put at risk because the car crashed. 3. The problem has not be confirmed by the dealer our insurance company stated they may or may not investigate the problem. 4. Our insurance company has photos of the accident and damaged vehicle but has not inspected the car components for possible failure. 5. No warning light or messages were displayed to the best of my knowledge prior to the crash. 6. There was a safety recall # 16V430000 for this model and model year but our VIN indicates that there is not an outstanding recall currently for the car
ENGINE HAS ROUGH IDLE WHILE IN PARK. EVEN AFTER THE FOLLOWING MAINTENANCE WAS DONE. REPLACING SPARK PLUGS, ENGINE SOFTWARE UPDATE, COOLANT FLUSH, POWER STEERING FLUSH, FUEL SYSTEM CLEAN, NEW MASS AIR FLOW SENSORS BOTH SIDES, SERPENTINE BELT, ALL NEW GASKETS ON TOP PART OF ENGINE, VALVE COVER, INTAKE MANIFOLD, SPARK PLUG TUBE SEALS. FLUSHED REAR AND REAR DIFF AND TRANSMISSION. STEERING IS HEAVY TO TURN. THE COLDER IT IS OUTSIDE THE WORSE THE ENGINE SHAKES. THROTTLE RESPONSE IS DELAYED AT TIMES. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS HARD THE WORSE THE ENGINE SHAKES. COLDER IT IS THE SLOWER THE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN ALONG WITH THE WIPERS. ENGINE DROPS RPM WHEN TURNING WHEEL WHILE IN PARK. WHEN DRIVING ENGINE DROPS ABOUT 100 - 200 RPM THEN KEEPS GOING BACK UP UNDER ACCELERATION BUT CAUSES TRANSMISSION TO SHIFT HARD. THIS PROBLEM CAUSES THE OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL TO BREAK AND REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSORS WERE REPLACED. AFTER A SHARP TURN CAR HESITATES TO ACCELERATE EVEN IF HARD ON THE GAS. EXTREME COLD TEMPS OUTSIDE MAKE THE ENGINE ALMOST SOUND AS IF SOMETHING INSIDE ENGINE INTERNALS IS NOT RIGHT. HOT AND HUMID WEATHER MAKES IT RUN THE BEST. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT PROBLEM STARTED AT 90,000 MILES NOW IM AT 126,000 MILES AND STILL NO FIX AND NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. EVEN GOING UP THE SMALLEST HILL INCLINE MAYBE A COUPLE FEET OVER A DISTANCE OF MAYBE 3 BLOCKS ENGINE DOWNSHIFTS TO 5TH GEAR JUST TO MAINTAIN 70MPH EVEN THOUGH I CAN BE GOING 50MPH IN 7TH GEAR. CAR JOLTS FORWARD WHEN COMING TO A STOP AS IF THE OUTPUT SHAFT IS STILL SPINNING AT A DIFFERENT SPEED THAN THE ENGINE. CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF NOT FIXED. OTHER INFINITI CARS SEEM TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. EVEN THE G37.
THE CHASSIS CONTROL MODULE ERROR LIGHT JUST COME ON ....ALSO THE GPS AND RADIO THERE IS NO SOUND AND WONT TUNE IN THE IN TOUCH NOT WORKING
VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND DETERMINED THAT BATTERY WAS DEAD. ARRANGED FOR JUMP START (THROUGH MY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM) BUT VEHICLE WOULD STILL NOT START. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO INFINITI DEALERSHIP. THEY FIGURED OUT A WAY TO CHARGE CAR (WASN'T ACCESSIBLE VIA FRONT HOOD SINCE A HYBRID) AND FOUND A WAY TO OPEN TRUCK TO DIRECT ACCESS AND CHARGE BATTERY. UPON CAR STARTING, VARIOUS ERROR CODES APPEARED. CAR DEALERSHIP HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT THEY MEANT AS THEY HAD NOT SEEN THEM BEFORE. I CONTACTED INFINITI CORPORATE AND THEY ASSOCIATED THE CODES WITH A PREVIOUS DAS VOLUNTARY RECALL. HOWEVER, UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION BY DEALERSHIP, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT DAS UPDATE WAS ALREADY APPLIED. TO DETERMINE THE ROOT CAUSE, I WAS TOLD IT WOULD REQUIRE THE CAR TO BE PARTIALLY DISASSEMBLED. AS TWO OF THE CODES POINTS TO A BRAKING SYSTEM ISSUE, AND ONE TO THE CHASSIS SYSTEM, I WANTED TO VERIFY IF THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IF A RECALL IS NEEDED. (SEE ATTACHMENTS FOR REFERENCE)
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 INFINITI Q50. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO TURN OFF WHEN ATTEMPTED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE KEYFOB WAS NOT RECOGNIZED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHUT-OFF ONLY AFTER RUNNING OUT OF GAS. THE VEHICLE TO WAS TOWED TO LUPIENT INFINITI MILWAUKEE (10595 W. ARTHUR AVENUE, WEST ALLIS, WI 53227, (262) 649-2236) TO BE DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
OUR FRONT RIGHT BUMPER WAS JUST SLIGHTLY DAMAGED WHEN BACK OUT OF OUR GARAGE. IT WAS VERY MILD COSMETIC DAMAGE THAT OCCURRED AT ONLY A SPEED OF PERHAPS 5 MPH. ORIGINAL BODY WORK ESTIMATES CAME IN AT $2,000 ONLY TO SPIRAL OUT OF CONTROL WITH THE STEERING MODULES BEING REPLACED THEM STEERING RACK BEFORE THE CAR WAS ULTIMATELY TOTALED AS THE STEERING PROGRAMMING WAS STILL OFF. UPON RESEARCH WE FOUND OUT THAT THIS PARTICULAR MODEL WAS PLAGUED WITH ELECTRONIC STEERING ISSUES WHICH APPEARED TO BE ADDRESSED UNDER MULTIPLE RECALLS. THE INSURANCE COMPANY STATED THAT THEY HAVE VIDEOS OF THE STEERING WHEEL GOING CRAZY BACK AND FORTH WILDLY AFTER THE MODULES WERE REPLACED. I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED THAT SUCH AN INSIGNIFICANT BUMP COULD NOT ONLY RESULT IN TOTALING A VEHICLE BUT COULD JEOPARDIZE A DRIVER'S SAFETY WITH THE STEERING ISSUES.
ON SEPTEMBER 5TH, I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 INFINITI Q50 AND ONCE IT REACHED 2ND OR 3RD GEAR, THE TRANSMISSION REVVED UP AND THE CAR LOCKED THE TIRES UP AND THREW US FORWARD LIKE IT WAS SLAMMED INTO A LOW GEAR. I HAD TO TOW THE CAR HOME 400 MILES AND DROPPED IT OFF AT THE INFINITI DEALER ON SEPTEMBER 7TH 2020. AS OF OCTOBER 24TH 2020, I STILL DON'T HAVE MY CAR BACK. I WAS INFORMED BY THE PARTS MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP THAT THERE WERE OVER 700 VALVE BODY'S ON BACKORDER. HE CLAIMED THAT NISSAN/INFINITI WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND WAS BEING VERY PICKY WITH THE QUALITY CONTROL OF THE NEW PARTS TO INSURE THERE WOULD BE NO FURTHER PROBLEMS. THEY ARE QUOTING $2400 PARTS AND LABOR TO FIX THE CAR. WAS ADVISED BY THE PARTS MANAGER TO CONTACT INFINITI CUSTOMER AFFAIRS.
NAVIGATION AND AUDIO SYSTEM MALFUNCTION, IT JUST STOP WORKING. I WAS TOLD ALL 2014 HAS THIS ISSUE AND I HAVE TO GET A NEW DCU INSTALLED. THE DCU IN THE 2014 AND 2015 HAS NOT BEEN WORKING.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE TODAY APPROXIMATELY AT 4:20 PM MST, MY STEERING AND BRAKING SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND AS I WAS APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION LOCATED HERE IN COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. THIS SCARED ME AND I THOUGHT I WAS ABOUT TO DIE. IS THERE A RECALL ON THE 2014 INFINITI Q50 HYBRID STEERING AND BRAKING SYSTEM? IF SO, WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THESE ISSUES? SO MANY LIVES ARE AT DANGER WITH THIS VEHICLE AND ITS STEERING AND BRAKE SYSTEMS. THIS MUST BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY! I'M IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THIS COULD BE CATASTROPHIC FOR INFINITI AND NISSAN. *TR
I HAD 2 RIGHT SIDE HEADLIGHTS BLOWN OUT THE LED AND INFINITI SAYS THIS NEVER HAPPENS BUT IT HAPPEN TO ME 2 TIMES ON THE SAME EXACT SIDE AND THE LIGHTS INSIDE MY CAR FLECKER AND BURN OUT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 INFINITI Q50. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILED DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. AS A RESULT, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNED WITH EXCESSIVE FORCED. THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INDICATING STEERING CHASSIS SYSTEM CONTROL ERROR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WARREN HENRY INFINITI DEALER, (2300 NE 151ST ST, NORTH MIAMI, FL 33181, (305) 652-9999) AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT POWER STEERING MODULE MIGHT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED OR A SOFTWARE UPDATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 89,000.
THE CAR HAS 62,000 MILES AND THE SRS LIGHT IS FLASHING ON THE DASHBOARD (I BELIEVE IT IS A OCCUPANT SENSOR) THE LIGHT FLASHES AS SOON AS THE CAR TURNS AND DOES NOT SHUT OFF
MY VEHICLE HAS HAD TO HAVE MY ROTORS REPLACED 5 TIMES OR MORE IN A SINGLE YEAR. THE DEALER SAID THAT THESE ROTORS GET HOT AND CREATE HOT SPOTS WHICH IN TURN REQUIRES NEW ROTORS AND BRAKES EVERY 2-3 MONTHS. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE COST FOR SUCH A LUXURY VEHICLE. THERE IS A RISK THAT THESE ROTORS WILL CONTINUE TO BURN THROUGH THE PADS LEAVING DRIVERS WITHOUT PROPER BRAKING SYSTEMS.
