This page combines three types of NHTSA data: recall campaigns (official manufacturer or government actions), owner complaints (unverified consumer reports), and crash test ratings (where available). A vehicle with many complaints is not necessarily less reliable — complaint volume correlates with sales volume and vehicle age. Recalls indicate identified defects, not overall quality. To compare this model year with others, use the year navigation in the sidebar or return to the model overview page.

To the best of my ability id like to explain why my car does not operate . i have taken my car to two jaguar dealership and have talked to Rocco' s European car repair shop as well and the all say that what is defective with my car is the central junction box. When I asked them all as to why this does not function they all said its a known problem with the car specifically due to "water ingress" leaking from the windshield wiper pump and on to the underside of the Central junction box and my wires are corroded and cause electrical failure as the say water and electricity are not a safe combination. with this malfunction my car no longer starts . Yes of course my car is available for inspection and it has been confirmed by both Hennessey Jaguar of Atlanta and Jaguar south Atlanta both have provided documentation as to the necessity to change the central junction box and both dealership's are not privately owned and not connected to one another yet they state the same reason as to why my car will not function. Yes my 2013 jaguar is a dangerous vehicle to drive as the car doors spontaneously opened and closed on their own the interior lights turned on and off and some other malfunctions engaged even when not engaged to do so i believe the breaking system also flashed traction control turns on even though i didn't ask it to be turned on. i am afraid that my car with water in the junction box could lead to an electrical fire as told to me by numerous mechanics Yes my car was inspected by both dealerships in Atlanta and both diagnosed the problem and being the "CJB." The symptoms initially started with my doors mysteriously locking and unlocking and then other electrical problems occurred after that. These symptoms first appeared in 2021 and there were messages that flashed on the dash message especially one that said see owners handbook i may not be sure of the wording but that's essentially the message . this is my best assessment of the problems.
LOUD POPPING NOISE FOLLOWED BY LOW COOLANT MESSAGE FLASHING AND WHITE SMOKE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT WHILE DRIVING UNTIL VEHICLE REFUSED TO GO AS I TRIED TO PULL INTO A GAS STATION THE VEHICLE BECAME DISABLED, AND CAUSED A SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH, AND THE BUMPER AND DRIVER HEAD LIGHT WHICH I JUST PAID TO REPAIR IS NO GOOD AS A RESULT, AND POLICE HAD TO USE THEIR PATROL CARS IN ORDER TO PUSH ME OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION (TOOK ABOUT 15 MINS FOR RESPONSE) HAD TO WAIT 5AND A HALF HOURS TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME, VEHICLE DOES NOT RE START. VEHICLE HAD 7 RECALLS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED INCLUDING JAGUAR CAC HOSE REPAIRATION. VEHICLE DOES NOT CURRENTLY FALL UNDER RECALL DUE TO PREVIOUS REPAIR. THE REPAIR FOR THIS RECALL ISSUED BACK IN 2014 FAILED. JAGUAR DEALERSHIP UNHELP FUL. CAR HAS BEEN PARKED OVER A MONTH AND A HALF NOW. HAVENT HAD A VEHICLE SINCE. UNDER THE HOOD YOU CAN VISIBLY SEE A HOSE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO ATTACH TO SOMETHING THAT IS NOT ATTACHED. CANNOT VISIBLY SEE WHERE IT IS SUPPOSEDLY SUPPOSED TO ATTACH TO
There have been constant issues with this vehicle. The car has a strong odor of gasoline when driven. No alarms or indicators tells me that there is a problem. There have been safety recalls on this particular model that have the exact same issues but when checked my vin number is not listed. This needs to be investigated because I believe that this is an continuance of the same issues that has affected the 2013 XF Jaguars.
IT IS VERY ALARMING TO SEE THAT OVER THE COURSE OF A COUPLE OF YEARS MY VEHICLES DASHBOARD IS SEPARATING ITSELF FROM THE METAL FRONT AIR CONDITIONING VENT PIECE THIS IS HAPPENING FOR NO APPARENT REASON ON MY JAGUAR XF
HAVING SERIOUS ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS PCM BCM ELECTRICAL ETC SPEED CONTROL MOD PARKING
I LATELY NOTICED YOUR JAGUAR RECALL FOR MODELS XF OF 2013. IT CONCERNS FUEL PUMP IMMEDIATE SHUTOFF WHEN THERE IS EXCESS FUEL PUMP AMPERAGE AND A FUSE TRIPS TO SHUT OFF THE FUEL PUMP. IT CANNOT BE RESET UNTIL THE FUSE COOLS DOWN, AT LEAST 20 MINUTES IS REPORTED. MY CAR'S VIN NUMBER IS APPARENTLY OVER THE SPECIFIED COVEERGE PERIOD SO #15V091000 RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO MY 2013 CAR. AT THE TIME IN LOOKING FOR ANSWERS I FOUND NONE. MY EVENT: THIS PAST SUMMER I WAS DRIVING TO SUDBURY, MA AT 10 P.M. MY ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPPED ON THE FULL SPEED AND MORE NARROW CURVING ENTRANCE TO THE MASS PIKE {FROM ROUTE 91 IN CONNECTICUT}! I WAS STUCK THERE FOR WELL OVER AN HOUR, EVERY SO OFTEN TRYING TO RESTART THE CAR; TO NO AVAIL. IT FINALLY COST ME $400 TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE SUDBURY JAGUAR DEALER AND LEFT OVERNIGHT FOR MORNING ACTION. SURPRISE, THE GARAGE MECHANIC THE NEXT MORNING TURNED THE KEY AND THE CAR STARTED IMMEDIATELY. IT HAD ALWAYS STARTED BEFORE THE COSTLY INCIDENT AND HAS STARTED IMMEDIATELY EVER SINCE. BUT THERE I WAS ON A CURVE AT NIGHT WITH 60 MPH+ TRUCKS AND CARS PASSING ME EVERY FEW SECONDS! AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. IT WAS ABOUT 25 MINUTES BEFORE A STATE PATROL TROOPER SHOWED UP WITH HELPFUL BLINKING YELLOW LIGHTS. AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER AND HOBBY AUTO MECHANIC THERE SEEMS LITTLE DOUBT YOUR FUEL PUMP RECALL ISSUE SHOULD HAVE APPLIED TO MY 2013 JAGUAR XF. APPARENTLY MY REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP WAS A COMPLETELY USELESS EXPENSE AS THE CAR HAD ONLY ROUGHLY 50,000 MILES ON IT. LUCKY TO BE ALIVE, [XXX] REDACTED TO PROTECT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *CC
I PURCHASED A SET OF 4 NEW TIRES. FOLLOWING INSTALLATION, ABOUT 2,000 MILES INTO THEIR USE, 3 OF THE 4 TIRES HAD THE TREAD SEPARATE FROM THE INTERNAL BELTS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO VIBRATE, PULL TO ONE SIDE AND ULTIMATELY WOULD HAVE LED TO A COMPLETE TIRE FAILURE. NEITHER THE SELLER NOR THE MANUFACTURER TOOK ANY ACTION TO INSPECT, REPLACE OR REFUND THE TIRES OR THEIR PURCHASE PRICE. THE FACT IS THAT THESE TIRES WERE/ARE DEFECTIVE AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURY TO ME, MY FAMILY AND OTHERS WHEN THEY WOULD HAVE ABRUPTLY FAILED DURING DRIVING.
2013 JAGUAR XF GEAR SELECT KNOB WONT RISE. WAS DRIVING LIKE NORMAL, ARRIVED AT WORK, PARKED THE VEHICLE, AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. GEAR SELECTOR TUCKED AWAY, HOWEVER WHEN THE IGNITION WAS ATTEMPTED TO BE STARTED AGAIN, THE GEAR SELECT KNOB WILL NOT RISE.
THE VEHICLE LOST POWER ON FREEWAY, LOST POWER TO POWER STEERING, FELT SLUGGISH (NO FUEL) WHEN I PRESSED ACCELERATOR, COULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 35 MPH. HAD TO STOP CAR ON SIDE OF ROAD. TURNED ON AND OFF WAITHED 10MIN, CAR STARTED AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE, BUT REPEATED ABOVE DISCRIMINATION. OCCURED 12072019 AND 12082019. DASH LIGHTS CAME ON AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. ADD 93 OCTANE FUEL THINKING I HAD BAD FUEL, PROBLEM CONTINUES. SCHEDULED APPT WITH JAGUAR TO LOOK AT CAR ON 12102019. CAR NOT DRIVE ABLE. IT IS UNDER WARRANTY. TAKING CAR TO JAGUAR FORT WORTH. VEHICLE SUFFERED FROM COMPLETE ENGINE AND POWER STALL. VEHICLE SHOWS TO HAVE 12 RECALLS RELATED TO ENGINE, POWER STALL AND HOSES.
I WAS DRIVING NEAR FM 1960, MY STEERING WAS VERY STIFF AND THE CAR TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING. I HAD IT TOWED ACROSS TOWN TO MY MOMS HOUSE WHICH WAS CLOSER THAN MY HOME. THE CAR HAS BEEN TOWED TO JAGUAR WHERE THEY HAVE STATED THIS MALFUNCTION IS NOT RECALL RELATED. THEY WERE RUDE AND NON HELPFUL. WE BELIEVE THIS MALFUNCTION IS IBDEED RECALL RELATED.
DRIVING JAGUAR XF AND HOOD BONNET OPENED AT 45 MILES AN HOUR ON ITS OWN. DESTROYED WINDS SHIELD AND THE BODY AROUND THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING ALMOST 2 ACCIDENTS EMOTIONAL STRESS AND THE INCONVENIENCE OF NOT HAVING A CAR TO GET TO MY PROMOTION MEETING. PULLING UP ON A HIGHWAY. THE HARLINGEN COPS WERE CALLED MADE IT TO MY HOME AND THE COP MADE NO NOTES AND JUST GAVE US A INCIDENT NUMBER. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR AIRBAGS ON THIS CAR ALSO AFTER THIS HAPPENED ALL MOTORISTS WENT HAYWIRE AND DISPLAY STARTED GOING OFF AND SAYING EVERY SENSOR WAS WRONG.
TIMING PROBLEMS AT 59,950 MILES. *TR
2103 JAGUAR XF AWD FAILURE OF JAGUAR OEM 13-18 XJ 3.0L-V6 RADIATOR-WATER PIPE C2Z31644 CAUSED THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT AND STOP ON A BUSY HIGHWAY. THIS ITEM IS KNOW TO FAIL DUE TO POOR QUALITY AND/OR DESIGN. THE CAR COULD NOT BE DRIVEN OFF THE HIGHWAY AND DRIVER HAD TO EXIT THE VEHICLE CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD FOR THEM AND OHTER DIRVERS.
JAGUAR STATEMENT: MY 2013 JAGUAR XF WAS UNDER WARRANTY UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2018. I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE AND WATER COOLANT LEAK; WHILE DRIVING OUT OF MY GARAGE DOWN MY STREET THE COOLANT WARNING LIGHT CAME ON SO I PARK IT AND HAD IT TOWED TO MY LOCAL JAGUAR DEALERSHIP TO BE LOOKED AT. IT WAS SERVICED AND THE LEAK REPAIRED; AS I WAS TOLD AUGUST 8, 2018 40,000 MILES. JULY 2019 SAME PROBLEM (AT 46,000 MILES) RESURFACED AND DAMAGE MY ENGINE. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY 820 AND MY WARNING COOLANT LIGHT CAME ON THE HOOD OF THE CAR STATED TO SMOKE; BY TIME I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER SAFELY THE CAR SHUTDOWN. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST SAFE FEATURE; TURNS OUT THE COOLANT LEAK IN TO MY ENGINE AND DAMAGE IT BEYOND REPAIR. THE COOLANT REPLACEMENT AND PARTS WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. AUGUST 28, 2019. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT JAGUAR CORPORATE DENIED MY CLAIM. HOWEVER, AS I WAS TOLD BY THE REP JOSE FERNANDEZ. IN ADDITION JOSE, STATED THAT PARK PLACE JAGUAR GRAPEVINE, TX DEALERSHIP WILL LOOK INTO WHAT THAT CAN DO ON THEIR END SINCE THE PROBLEM PREVIOUSLY EXISTED UNDER THE FACTORY WARRANTY AND THE SECOND INCIDENT COVERING THE WATER COOLANT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. AUGUST 29, 2019; THE REP REPORTED THAT MY CLAIM WAS ALSO DENIED AT THE DEALERSHIP LEVEL. I'VE PULL UP VARIOUS FORUM IN WHICH JAGUAR CORPORATE IS AND HAS BEEN A WARE OF THIS ISSUES WITH THE WATER COOLANT FAILURE AND DRIPPING INTO THE ENGINE CHAMBER FOR SEVERAL YEARS FROM 2009 TO THE PRESENT. I'M CONTACTING YOUR ORGANIZATION BECAUSE..I DON'T TRUST JAGUAR/THE DEALERSHIP TO STAND BY ITS PRODUCT. THERE'S NO WAY A $60,000- $70,000 CAR SHOULD BREAKDOWN AT 46,000 MILES. I WAS COLLECT ALL DOCUMENTATION AND SEND TO YOUR ORGANIZATION PER REQUEST. I THANK YOU.
I HAVE A BIG ISSUE WITH MY DASHBOARD STARTING TO COME APART BECAUSE OF THE ADHESIVE JAGUAR USED TO HOLD DOWN THE LEATHER IS NOT HOLD. HOW MANY COMPLAINTS NEED TO BE DOCUMENTED BEFORE JAGUAR ADDRESS THE ISSUE. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND FOUND THAT JAGUAR IS USING STAPLES ON THE REPLACEMENT DASHBOARDS TO KEEP THIS FROM OCCURRING BUT WHAT ABOUT MY CAR?
