ENTERING I 264 VA, PRESSED ACCELERATOR RESULTING IN A LURCHING MOTION, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE CAUSING OTHER VEHICLES TO SWERVE TO AVOID REAR ENDING OUR 2018 JEEP CHEROKEE LATITUDE. IT REPEATED THIS ACTION MANY TIMES AS WE LIMPED HOME UNDER 40 MPH. WE WERE AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND CALLED THE DEALER (SOUTHERN CHRYSLER JEEP AT GREENBRIER). THE DEALER AUTHORIZED TOWING THE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIRS. THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE CALLED US AND SAID THE TRANSMISSION MECHANIC AUTHORIZED ORDERING A NEW TRANSMISSION DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT COME OUT OF GEAR.
TRANSMISSION RANDOMLY DOES NOT WANT TO GO IN THE RIGHT GEAR. THE VEHICLE THEN FEELS LIKE IT IS ALMOST STOPPING AND JERKING HARD WHILE THE VEHICLE THEN FINDS THE CORRECT GEAR AND STARTS WORKING PROPERLY AGAIN A WEIRD NOISE ALSO SEEMS TO RANDOMLY COME FOR THE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A TRIGGER OR WHAT MAKES THE TRANSMISSION DO THIS, IT SEEMS COMPLETELY RANDOM. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS AND BOTH SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE SECOND TIME I TOOK IT IN THEY TOOK IT ON A TEST DRIVE SAID THEY HEARD THE NOISE AND KEPT MY VEHICLE OVERNIGHT, THE NEXT DAY HE CALLED AND SAID NOTHING IS WRONG DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. AS WE WERE LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP ANOTHER SERVICE ADVISOR CAME UP AND STATED THAT THEY HAVE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS AND THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX THE ISSUE SO THEY ARE ALL ADVISED TO STATE THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO THAT PEOPLE DO NOT START RETURNING THEIR CARS. HE ALSO STATED TO FILE A COMPLIANT SO THAT CHRYSLER WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSIONS
ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THE ENGINE SHUT OFF UNEXPECTEDLY AND WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. ONCE ON A HILL, THE NEXT TIME ON A HIGHWAY. THERE WERE NO INDICATOR LIGHTS OR OTHER WARNING SYSTEMS IN PLACE. WHEN IT HAPPENED THE STEERING FAILED AS DID ALL BRAKING SYSTEMS. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. BOTH TIMES OIL WAS BELOW READABLE LEVEL. IT WAS ALSO LOW PRIOR TO DEALER RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE PERIOD. I WAS TOLD AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST NEEDED TO BE DONE, BUT IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. WHEN OIL CONSUMPTION WAS DEEMED LOW, I WAS TOLD THAT JEEP CORPORATION REQUIRED THAT THE TEST BE REPEATED AND TO DRIVE ANOTHER 1,000 MILES. I CONTACTED CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND WAS TOLD "INDEPENDENT DEALERSHIPS CAN DECIDE HOW TO HANDLE THIS PROBLEM". THEN IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT I SEE IF A DIFFERENT DEALER MIGHT BE MORE HELPFUL. NO SAFETY ACTIONS WERE TAKEN BY THE DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
GOING 65 IN THE HIGHWAY IN THE MIDDLE LANE, THE PARK ASSIST SUDDENLY KICKED IN WITHOUT WARNING AND SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL. AFTER DRIFTING TO THE SHOULDER, THE CAR WOULD NOT ENGAGE INTO DRIVE AGAIN. THE CAR IS LESS THAN A MONTH OLD.
I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, THE. LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND ALL SUDDEN MY CAR MY PASSENGER SIDE RIM JUST SHATTERED AND POP 4 HOLES IN MY TIRE. THE TIRE WAS NOT MISSING ANY RUBBER. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY WHEN I JUST THE CAR IN NOV. I HAVE CONTACTED JEEP AND THE DEALERSHIP AND I GET THE SAME THING. YES MY TIRES AND RIMS ARE COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY PLAN BUT NOT LOWER CONTROL ARM AND BALL ISN'T UNDER WARRANTY UNLESS IT WAS A DEFECT. HOW CAN A RIM COMPLETELY EXPLODED FROM THE INSIDE? SERVICE SHIFTER DASH WARNING COMES ON WHILE DRIVING. AT THE SAME TIME, THE PRND LIGHTS ON THE GEAR SELECTOR LIGHT UP. THE NOTIFICATION CLEARS AND THE LIGHTS TURN OFF WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED; HOWEVER, THE NOTIFICATION WILL APPEAR AGAIN INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SERVICED FOR THIS ISSUE THREE TIMES AND WILL GO IN FOR ANOTHER SERVICE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 29. AS OF NOW, THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND THE WARNING LIGHT STILL COMES ON.
THIS COMPLAINT IS NOT SPECIFIC TO MY CURRENT VEHICLE. THE HEAD RESTS IN ALL NEWER VEHICLES ARE MAKING THOSE OF US WHO ARE NOT OVERWEIGHT AND HAVE GOOD POSTURE SIT IN AN AWKWARD POSITION WITH OUR HEADS PUSHED FORWARD. THIS IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND WE CAN'T TURN THE HEAD RESTS AROUND BECAUSE THEN THE SAFETY MEASURES DON'T WORK. PLEASE STOP MAKING THE HEAD RESTS LEAN FORWARD.
ALL SERVICE LIGHTS ARE FLASHING WHEN CAR IS STARTED.
With in a month of purchasing and many times after the dealership supposedly did a update to the shift shaft but always returned I turn car off have to wait and it goes away now it is staying more than usual and appearing more also with in a month my air bags had faulty wiring Thomson dodge only fixed one under driver seat bc their dx only showed one default a month after that the passengers air bag wiring went bad they refused to fix it so with in first year my passenger air bag needs to be repaired I am driving w two faulty car issues that I practically bought this is dangerous after review many complaints from other same make and model jeep owners shift shaft message and air bag message to replace

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATED AND THE CHECK ENGINE, ANTI-LOCK BRAKES, AND EMERGENCY WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (HAWK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP, 7911 ROOSEVELT RD, FOREST PARK, IL 60130) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PMC MODULE NEEDED TO BE RESET. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO HAWK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 535. *BF UPDATED 8/21/18*JB
- 2.4L EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION - NEW ENGINE AT 8K MILES - EMISSIONS ISSUES TRIPPING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT - AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT - COMPUTER/ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH DASH AND INTERIOR - TRANSMISSION STALLING IN TRAFFIC. - CANNOT MAINTAIN SPEED WITH CRUISE CONTROL - ONCE PARTS ARE REMOVED FOR REPAIR THEY CANNOT BE REPLACED PROPERLY AND END UP FALLING OFF. FCA AMERICA KNOW ABOUT ALL THESE ISSUES AND CONTINUES TO PRODUCE THESE CARS AT A PRICE WAY ABOVE THEIR VALUE. BOTTOM LINE THEY ARE A FRAUDULENT BUSINESS THAT IS PRODUCING CRAPPY VEHICLES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SERVICE SHIFTER LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH. THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED INTO PARK. THE VEHICLE CEASED AND THE VEHICLE SPUN IN A CIRCLE AND CAME TO A STOP. THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LANDERS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF NORMAN (481 N INTERSTATE DR, NORMAN, OK 73069 (405)321-8228) WHERE A SOFTWARE REPROGRAMMING WAS PERFORMED AS THE SPINDLE GEAR WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
Service shifter light is on been on for a long time. When driving it takes a min to pick up speed . My dash said that there is something wrong with my air bag.
Back up camera turns to static when going in reverse. Has been happening for years. No warnings. Just malfunctioning. Reported this in 2019 to Jeep.
