INTERMITTENTLY BUT FREQUENTLY THE ABS AND OTHER DASHBOARD LIGHTS COME ON AND THE CAR DRAGS AND STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. ITS VERY DANGEROUS. VEHICLE SEEM TO LOOSE POWER WHILE CRUISING AT OR AROUND 45 MPH OR WHEN ENGAGES 4TH GEAR. RPM'S DROP REALLY QUICK FROM 3500 TO ALMOST 1500 RPM'S IN MATTERS OF SECOND. INCREASING THE RISK OF A REAR END COLLISION IF TRYING TO OVERTAKE ANOTHER VEHICLE OR DRIVING UP HILL, DEALER CAN'T FIND PROBLEM. PROBLEMS HAPPENS EVERY TIME UNDER ANY WEATHER CONDITION. *TR

I THINK ITS TERRIBLE HOW JEEP/CHRYSLER CANT FIX A RECALL...WHEN FAMILIES GOT TO DRIVE A CAR THAT THEY KNOW THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM....SINCE SEPT..EVERYTIME I STOP AT A RED LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN MY JEEP TURNS OFF..I HAVE TO PUT IT IN PARK AND START IT UP AGAIN....I CANT DRIVE IT ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE OF THIS...AND DEALERSHIPS SAY THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT....SO CHRYSLER MAKING THE MONEY THEY MAKE CANT HELP PEOPLE TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING WHEN ALL THEY HAVE IS ONLY ONE CAR AND ITS A CAR THEY MADE... *TR

ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING I HAVE GOTTEN WARNING LIGHTS ON MY DASH AND VEHICLE STALLING OCCURRING WHICH IS A DISTRACTION. I BOUGHT MY JEEP COMMANDER ON THE 14TH OF AUGUST AND ON THE 23 AND 24 AND 28 OF AUGUST IT RAINED AND NOW MY FLOOR IS WET I HAD THE CAR LOOKED AT ON THE 25 AND THEY SAID MY SUN ROOF DRAIN TUBE WERE COMPLETELY BLOCK AND THE CLEANED THEM OUT AND YET I WAKE UP TODAY AFTER IT HAD RAINED OVER NIGHT AND MY DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR WAS WET AGAIN. IM TAKING IT IN AGAIN TO MAKE SURE ITS NOT MY WINDOW AND I CALLED THE DEALER THAT SOLD IT TO ME AND HE SAID TO LET HIM KNOW HOW THAT TURNED OUT OR HE WOULD GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS PROBLEM FOR US. THE PLASTIC PANEL OF THE INTERIOR DOOR (DRIVER'S SIDE) CRACKED BY THE DOOR HANDLE. ONE DAY I PULLED THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE, THE CRACK IN THE PANEL GREW AND PIECES CRUMBLED AND FELL INTO THE DOOR. THEN THE HANDLE FELL INTO THE DOOR. NOW THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE DOOR IS TO LOWER THE WINDOW AND OPEN IT FROM OUTSIDE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE, AND I APPARENTLY AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. LESS THEN TWO WEEKS AFTER THE PURCHASE OF THE 2006 COMMANDER (PURCHASED ON 8/10), THE DASH STARTED TO FLICKER OFF AND ON AT RANDOM TIMES - SLOW AND FAST. AS I WOULD DRIVE IT WOULD GET WORSE AND I WOULD LOSE RPM, MPH, LIGHTS AT NIGHT, WIPERS DURING STORMS, RADIO, AIR, HEAT, DEFROST, ALL DASH WARNINGS FLASHING ON AND OFF, ETC. THE DASH WOULD GO BLACK AND THEN THE CAR WOULD STALL. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED I WAS ON A HWY GOING 65 AND HAD TO DRIFT TO THE SIDE WITHOUT KILLING MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE. I STARTED THE CAR BACK UP WITH NO PROBLEM. TWO HOURS LATER I WAS AT A STOP SIGN AND IT DID THE SAME THING. 8/27/14 TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT. THE THIRD TIME IT SURGED, I WAS IN A STORM CROSSING OVER A TWO LANE BRIDGE - DASH FLASHING, LIGHTS/DEFROST/RADIO/WIPERS ON AND OFF, AND THEN NOTHING BUT DARKNESS AND CAR STALLED - I HAD NOWHERE TO GO. I LOST ALL CONTROL WITH THE CAR AND ONLY GOING 35MPH. I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO HIGH POINT OF THE BRIDGE WITH PASSING CARS BEEPING AND FLASHING THEIR LIGHTS AT ME. I STARTED THE CAR AND HAD THE REPEAT EXPERIENCE THREE MORE TIMES BEFORE GETTING HOME USING THE EMERGENCY BREAK - BRAKES LOCK WHEN CAR STALLS. 9/20/14 I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT. I WAS DRIVING 35 ON A HIGHWAY AND IT STARTED AGAIN AND I DECIDED TO TAPE THE ACTIVITY WITH MY PHONE - DANGEROUS WHILE DRIVING BUT HAD TO SHOW SOMEONE WHAT WAS GOING ON - DEALER TOLD ME THEY COULD GET ME IN TO LOOK AT IT IN 4 DAYS. 10/13/14 DEALER PUTS ME IN A JUNK CAR AND SAYS THEY ARE GOING TO FIX IT AND WANTS ME TO BE SAFE. THINKS IT IS A RECALL. LOVE THE CAR BUT DON'T WANT TO DIE IN IT BECAUSE OF AN ELECTRICAL SURGE. MY CONCERN IS THAT THESE COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN COMING IN SINCE 2007 AND IT IS JUST NOW GETTING ATTENTION. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. WE PURCHASED OUR 2006 JEEP COMMANDER IN NOVEMBER, 2008. THE FIRST PROBLEM WE EXPERIENCED WAS THE ROUGH VIBRATION OF THE FRONT END. WE TOOK IT TO OUR MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO SEE ANY THING PHYSICALLY WRONG. THIS PROBLEM HAS INCREASED OVER THE YEARS. THE SECOND PROBLEM WE NOTICED, ALL OF THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES BROKE WHICH CREATES SOME DIFFICULTY IN EXITING THE VEHICLE. WE MAINTAINED REGULAR MAINTENANCE ON THIS VEHICLE AND THE ONLY OTHER PROBLEM WE EXPERIENCED UNTIL NOW, WE PURCHASED TWO NEW BATTERIES AND THE AIR CONDITION BLOWER WAS REPLACED. IN AUGUST, 2014, I STARTED THE TRUCK, PRECEDED OUT OF THE PARKING LOT AND ALL THE DASH LIGHTS CAME ON AFTER A MINUTE OR SO THE LIGHTS WENT OFF BUT THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON FOR 1 DAY. IT HAS DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES AND THEN THE LIGHTS STARTED COMING ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT ANY SPEED IT APPEARED AS IF THE TRUCK WAS SHUTTING DOWN. IF I WAS ABLE TO I WOULD PULL OVER AND RESTART THE TRUCK THIS PRACTICE DID NOT STOP THE LIGHTS FROM COMING ON AND OFF. I WAS SITTING AT THE RED LIGHT AND PROCEEDED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGE AFTER APPROXIMATELY 5 SECONDS OF ACCELERATION THE TRUCK SHUT COMPLETELY OFF THE DRIVER BEHIND ME COULDN'T HAVE NONE I WAS STOPPING BECAUSE I NEVER HIT THE BRAKES. I PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTARTED IT. YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON AND FLASHED OFF AND ON FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES TURNED THE KEY OFF AND THE KEY WAS UNUSUALLY HOT. THIS MORNING THE TRUCK WOULD NOT START EVERYTHING INSIDE THE VEHICLE CAME ON AND I COULD HEAR A CLICKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE I WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND TRIED IT AGAIN, AFTER 2 TRIES THE TRUCK STARTED.
