TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR BURNS THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED ILDERTON DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM AT (336) 804-8536 (LOCATED AT 701 S MAIN ST, HIGH POINT, NC 27260) AND WAS INFORMED THAT SOMEONE WOULD COME OUT TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NO ONE CAME TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V046000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 177,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. AT THE TIME THIS COMPLAINT WAS FILED ILDERTON HAD NOT COME OUT TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. AS OF OCTOBER 25TH THERY DID COME AND INSPECT IT. IT WAS THEN RETURNED TO CONTACT. CONTACT HAS YET TO HEAR RESPONSE FROM IDERTON ABOUT THE FINDINGS. UPDATED 12/06/18*JB
TAKATA RECALL. THE REPLACEMENT PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE, ACCORDING TO JEEP, AFTER TWO YEARS.
THE VEHICLE STALLS .SHUTS OFF WHEN DRIVING IT RUNS LIKE A DREAM AND OUT OF NO WHERE IT SHUTS OFF
AFTER DOING WUITE ALOT OF RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THAT THE 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEEROKEES HAVE A KNOWN STALLING PROBLEM THAT CANNOT BE EXPLAINED. THESE VEHICLES STALL WITHOUT WARNING CAUSING THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES TO FAIL. CREATING A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE FOR ANYONE IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA. EVERY COMPLAINT I HAVE SEEN STATES THAT THE OWNERS HAVE SUNK LOTS OF MONEY AND REPLACED SEVERAL PARTS ONLY TO HAVE THE PROBLEM RETURN TIME AND TIME AGAIN. WHY HAS THIS STALLING ISSUE NEVER BEEN ADDRESSED, AND JEEP HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE REPAIRS? I HAVE FOUND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINS ALL OVER THE INTERNET DESCRIBING THIS SAME STALLING HAZARD.

THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THE FUEL TANK SKID PLATE IS RUSTED AND ONE OF THE STRAPS ARE BROKE. DONT DARE TO DRIVE FOR FEAR OF TANK FALLING OUT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY ACCELERATED WHILE DRIVING UP A HILL. THE CONTACT HAD TO EITHER APPLY EXTREME PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE OR PLACE THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL TO STOP. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A CALL BACK. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
BACK SEAT ON DRIVER SIDE WINDOW IS STUCK IN THE DOWN POSITION, THE WINDOW BUTTON WAS PRESSED WHILE DRIVING ON A LOCAL STATE ROAD AND WOULD NOT GO BACK UP. BAD WIRING SHOULD BE THE CULPRIT...
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEARD A LOUD HISSING SOUND. NOTICED IT WAS A MANIFOLD LEAK AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION NOTICED TWO BOLTS WERE BROKE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, LEFT SIDE OF THE MOTOR BY THE FIREWALL. THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO REMOVE THESE BROKEN BOLTS OTHER THAN PULLING THE MOTOR. NO MECHANIC WILL TOUCH IT. THEREFORE LEAVING THE COST ON THE CONSUMER. THE GRADE OF THE BOLTS ARE VERY POOR. THEY KNEW THE 4.7 V8 MOTOR WOULD NOT HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR THE CONSUMER TO FIX THESE ISSUES. LEAVING THE CONSUMER TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE IT IS NOT SAFE IT IS NOT FAIR. NOW THE CONSUMER HAS TO WORRY THAT'S EXCESSIVE HEAT THAT ESCAPED OUT THE MANIFOLD DUE TO THE BROKEN BOLTS DOESN'T CATCH ANYTHING ON FIRE UNDER THE HOOD WHILE DRIVING POSSIBLY INJURING OR FATALLY INJURING THE PEOPLE IN THE VEHICLE AS WELL AS OTHERS DRIVING ON THE ROAD. I FEEL THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THERE MISTAKE. THESE BOLTS SHOULD NOT BREAK OFF WITHIN 100,000 MILES IT IS A HAZARD TO THE DRIVER THERE OCCUPANTS I FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE A RECALL. IT'S ONE THING IF YOU JUST DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX IT IT'S ANOTHER THING IF YOU DO AND THERE'S NO POSSIBLE SOLUTION THAT'S NOT WHAT I PAID FOR NOW I HAVE TO DRIVE A VEHICLE THAT I DON'T FEEL SAFE I CAN'T TRADE IT IN OR SELL IT BECAUSE YOU CAN HEAR IT NOW I'M STUCK WITH DRIVING IT FOR ANOTHER COUPLE THOUSAND MILES AND BE OUT OF THE VEHICLE ON THEIR BEHALF.
I HAVE A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. I CAME TO A STOP YESTERDAY AND THE SEAT SHIFTED FORWARD AND NOW ROCKS. I LOOKED UNDER IT AND THE SEAT BRACKET BROKE. I LOOKED INTO IT ON INTERNET AND IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER BUT THEY WERE VERY UNHELPFUL.
"TAKATA RECALL" MY DRIVER'S SEAT HAS BEEN REPLACE ONCE, AT MY OWN EXPENSE, DUE THE SEAT BECOMING EXTREMELY "WOBBLY" AND BEING BROKEN FROM THE BEASE FRAME AND FRAME UNDER SEAT. I WAS ON HIGHWAY DRIVING WHEN THE SEAT FIRST BECAME SLIGHTLY UNSTABLE, HAD I UNFORNATUNATELY BEEN STRUCK FROM THE REAR, I WOULD'VE BEEN VIOLENTLY THROWN FORWARD. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS MATTER AND FOUND THAT THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL FOR THE 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO WJ, YET I FOUND NOTHING ON THIS SITE. IT COSTS ME $600, WHICH IS A LOT FOR A DISABLED VETERAN. BUT MY SAFETY COMES FIRST. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS
I HAVE CALLED THE CHRYSLER RECALL HOTLINE AND A DEALERSHIP NEARBY TO SEE IF MY CAR HAS A RECALL ON THE CRANKSHAFT POSITIONING SENSOR BECAUSE MY CAR KEEPS DYING WHILE I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND IDLES ROUGH. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND SEVERAL WEBSITES SHOWED A PROBLEM WITH MY MAKE AND YEAR MODEL YET I CANNOT REDEEM A RECALL WHICH I'M GUESSING IS BECAUSE IT'S VIN SPECIFIC. I WOULD JUST LIKE MY CRANKSHAFT POSITIONING SENSOR REPLACED. MY CAR HAS BEEN KNOW TO DIE SEVERAL TIMES THROUGH THE DAY WITH NO WARNING. IT HAS DIED MULTIPLE TIME GOING DOWN GEORGE BUSH HIGHWAY TOWARDS LEWISVILLE BEFORE YOU EXIT FOR MAIN STREET AND HAS EVEN DIED IN MY WAY TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNINGS WHICH IS ONLY ABOUT 1/2 A MILE. THE CALENDAR AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE DOES NOT LET ME SELECT MORE THAN ONE DATE WHICH IS TROUBLING BECAUSE I COULD PUT A CHECK MARK IN A MAJORITY OF DAYS WHERE IT HAS DIED.
THE JEEP WAS STATIONARY WHEN THERE WAS A SOUND, WHEN I STARTED DRIVING THE SEAT BEGAN TO WOBBLE FROM SIDE TO SIDE (LEFT TO RIGHT) AND IT FELT LIKE THE SEAT COULD COME OFF, I HAD TO BRACE MY LEG AGAINST THE DOOR TOO KEEP THE SEAT SEMI-STABLE. LOOKING INTO THIS ISSUE I FOUND A WHOLE WEBSITE DEDICATED TO COMPLAINTS, AS WELL AS A WHOLE WEBSITE DEDICATED TO SELLING NEW BRACKETS TO COUNTERACT THIS PROBLEM. IF A THIRD PARTY HAVING TO SELL PARTS FOR A SPECIFIC ISSUE ISNT TELLING ON HOW COMMON IT IS, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS. I HAVE YET TO BRING IT IN TO THE SHOP, HOWEVER ACCORDING TO THE COMPLAINTS ITS AN ISSUE WITH THEM MAKING WEAK BRACKETS THAN CAN FAIL DURING A CRASH. I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE A RECALL, OR HAVE ALL THE OWNERS OF CARS WITH THIS PROBLEM FIXED AT THEIR COST WITH HOW COMMON IT SEEMS, AND IM UPSET THEY HAVENT ADDRESSED IT.
STEERING GEAR BOX SUDDENLY LOCKS UP ON SLOW TURNS IN TRAFFIC
TRANSMISSION COOLANT LINE IS LEAKING IT'S BEEN WORKED ON SEVERAL TIMES. THE MOTOR HAS AIR IN THE COOLANT SYSTEM AFTER REPLACEMENT OF RADIATOR. THE POWER STEERING LINE WAS REPLACED. THE BACK WIPER MOTOR DOES NOT WORK. SOMETHING INEW THE DASH MAKES A MOVING SOUND AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUT OFF ON PASSENGER SIDE. I HAD BRAKE LINES FIXED. THE VEHICLE LOOSES OIL ON THE ROAD DUE TO THE LINE LEAKING. THE BACK WIPER NOT WORKING MAKES IT HARD TO SEE OUT THE BACK WINDOW.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE CONTROL FOR THE WINDOWS AND DOORS DOES NOT WORK MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT THE WINDOWS DOWN OR LOCK THE CAR. THIS OCCURS WHEN IN MOTION OR WHILE STATIONARY. IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO WORK WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT APPLIED THE FRONT BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR BRAKE LINE WAS FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE BREAK TAIL LAMP SHOTS OUT AND HAD TO REPLACE THE UNIT TWICE THIS YEAR AND THE WAS WIRING SHOTS TO THE BREAK LIGHT AND IT COST ME $1500 FOR THE BREAK LIGHT WIRING SHOT AND THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLE. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR 3 YRS CONSECUTIVE AND I THINK IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE IT IS THE BREAKS LIGHTING AND THEIR HAS BEEN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE FOR THIS VEHICLE ON LINE. I THINK THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD RECALL ALL THIS VEHICLES AND REWIRE THEM FOR FREE SINCE IT IS A SAFETY FITCHER. THE WHOLE BREAK WIRING HAD MELTED BECAUSE IT HAD A SHOT AND BURNT THE BULB SOCKETS AND ASSEMBLE UNIT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, A GRINDING AND HUMMING NOISE WAS PRESENT FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. ALSO, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO BECOME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND HOSE WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
HAD A CAR ACCIDENT FEW DAYS AGO AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOYED AT EITHER SIDE. ALSO, THE STEERING COLUMN IS STACK IN LOWER LEVEL, THE MECHANIC SAID IT IS BROKEN INSIDE, NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRANK SHAFT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V112000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I HAVE OWNED MY JEEP FOR 3 YRS NOW AND ITS HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL VEHICLE BUT LAST YR I NOTICED THE GAS TANK COVER STARTING TO HANG DOWN. NOW THERE IS A BIG PIECE ABOUT TO FALL OFF AND THE TANK IS COMPLETLY EXPOSED. I HAVE READ A LOT ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND AM NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON. IT SEEMS THAT I MAY BE ABLE TO HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED AND MAYBE NOT. IT SEEMS THERE IS A HUGE ISSUE WITH THIS AND IS MY TANK GOING TO JUST FALL DOWN ONE DAY. ALSO WHY CANNOT ANY ONE GET THE AIR BAG RESTRAINT MODULE FOR THE RECALL OF MY VEHICLE. WHAT GOOD IS HAVING A RECALL IF THEY CAN DRAG THEIR FEET. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. GAS TANK COVER/ HOLDER COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT AND GAS TANK IS JUST HANGING THERE BY ONE CORNER OF THE COVER. IT FELL DOWN AS I WAS JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD CAUSING THE GAS TANK TO CRACK IN THE FRINT CORNER WHEN IT HIT THE GROUND.
WITHOUT WARNING MY JEEPS ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT IS WHILE STOPPED OR DRIVING IT WILL SHUT OFF AND NOT TURN BACK ON UNTIL ABOUT 10 MINUTES LATER. WHEN IT HAS SHUT OFF IT WILL STILL TURN OVER AND I HAVE POWER TO EVERYTHING I NEED BUT IT WILL NOT FIRE UP. THIS HAPPENED FIRST ON A SUNNY MORNING DRIVING IN TOWN. I TOWED IT BACK TO MY HOUSE AND COULD NOT GET ANY CODES. IT FIRED UP AND I THOUGHT IT WAS FINE SO I KEPT DRIVING IT. AT THIS POINT ABOUT TEN MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND WHILE CRUISING ALONG A BUSY ROAD IT SHUT OFF, I HAD POWER AND THE ABILITY TO STEER BUT NO POWER STEERING. LUCKILY I HAD A DRIVEWAY TO PULL INTO AND I COASTED INTO IT. THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING. AT THIS POINT I HAVE MY JEEP AT THE DEALER IN MODESTO CA FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE COMPUTER AND THE WIRING HARNESS FOR 1400 DOLLARS AND THEN THEY WILL SEE IF THAT FIXES THE PROBLEM. NOT A GUARANTEE IT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE TO ME AS I CANNOT SPEND THIS TYPE OF MONEY WITH THE HOPE THAT WHATEVER OTHER PROBLEM THERE MIGHT BE WILL BE MORE AFFORDABLE OR EASIER TO DIAGNOSE. THIS HAS TO BE A PROBLEM THAT IS INHERENT WITH THE JEEP ITSELF AND A MANUFACTURE DEFECT. NOT ONLY DO I NOT BELIEVE THIS IS MY FAULT AS A USER OF THE VEHICLE BUT I BELIEVE THAT THIS HAS CAUSED AN UNSAFE OPERATING CONDITION AND I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED IF THIS HAD HAPPENED ON ANOTHER ROAD SUCH AS, A DIRT ROAD, MOUNTAIN ROAD, WINDING ROAD, IN ICY OR RAINY CONDITIONS, OR ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS HAS ALSO CAUSED ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO SELL THIS CAR FOR ANY REASONABLE PRICE, AND THE PRICE FOR REPAIR IS OVER A QUARTER OF THE BLUE BOOK OF THE CAR. OVERALL I DO NOT FEEL SAFE WITH THIS VEHICLE FOR THE INTENDED PURPOSE IT WAS MADE FOR AND THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. THANK YOU

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BALL JOINTS AND THE TRAC ON NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 230,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
IGNITION SWITCH-P41. I WENT TO THE GARAGE ONE SATURDAY MORNING ON MY WAY TO WORK AND COULD NOT CRANK UP MY VEHICLE. THE IGNITION WOULD LITERALLY NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL OR ANYTHING. THE LIGHTS TO THE CAR WOULD BLINK AND MY CAR WOULDN'T START WITH THE KEY IN THE IGNITION; HOWEVER, THE SAFETY RECALL IS ON A MODEL CAR ONE YEAR AFTER MINE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE IGNITION WOULD NOT CRANK UP. ONE TIME, I LITERALLY HAD TO PULL OVER AND STOP THE CAR ONLY TO TRY AND START IT AGAIN BUT IT WOULDN'T CRANK. IN ORDER FOR IT TO GO, I HAD TO BANG ON THE IGNITION PARK TO GET IT TO TURN THE KEY AND FURTHER START THE IGNITION. THE ISSUES ARE THE SAME AS THE RECALL BUT I'M OUT OF POCKET SOME $687.00 AT THE DEALERSHIP, WHICH I HAD TO WAIT 3 HOURS FOR A TOW TRUCK TO COME THROUGH. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS MODEL CAR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AS WELL. I AM A SINGLE PARENT AND IT IS SO FRUSTRATING TO TRY AND PROVIDE FOR MY CHILD WHEN I CAN'T USE THE ONLY TRANSPORTATION THAT I HAVE PLUS THE FACT THAT IT COSTS AN ARM AND A LEG JUST TO FIX. I CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER CAR NOTE AT THIS TIME. PLEASE CONSIDER THE 2004 MODELS IN THIS RECALL.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 238,000. THE VIN WAS MISSING A CHARACTER.

I THEN MADE AN APPOINTMENT IN THE SUMMER OF 2016, ONLY FOR THEM TO TELL ME THEY WILL CALL ME BACK WHEN THE PARTS COME IN. IN JANUARY, I CALLED SCRANTON DODGE AGAIN, ONCE AGAIN TELLING ME NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. OUT OF FRUSTRATION I CALLED A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP THAT IS 40 MINUTES AWAY. THEY SAID THEY HAD THE PARTS. I DROPPED MY VEHICLE OFF, AND WAITED FOUR DAYS WITH NO COURTESY CALL. AFTER BEING TOLD TO CALL BACK TWO TIMES, I FINALLY GOT A HOLD OF THE SERVICE MANAGER. HE TOLD ME HE DOESN'T HAVE ALL THE PARTS AND WOULD HAVE TO ORDER MORE. WHY DID THEY TELL ME THEY HAD THE PARTS WHEN THEY REALLY DIDN'T? DRIVER'S SEAT BRACKET (TRACK) HAS AN UPSIDE DOWN " L" SHAPED METAL BRACKET OR SUPPORT FROM THE TRACK TO THE SEAT WHICH BROKE IN TWO AT THE BEND OF THE L. HAPPENED WHILE CITY STREET DRIVING.

THEY FIXED AIRBAG RECALL AND PROBLEM SEATBELT LIGHT CONSTANTLY BEING ON EVEN WHEN DRIVER IS CORRECTLY SEATBELTED IN- THE LIGHT STAYS ON. NOW, IT IS AUGUST 27, 2018 AND BOTH AIR BAG LIGHT AND SEAT BELT LIGHT ARE BACK ON. ALSO, THE FUEL TANK SKID PLATE IS COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH. THIS LEAVES THE GAS TANK FULLY EXPOSED, LEAVING YOU SUSCEPTIBLE TO ANY NUMBER OF POSSIBLE SCENARIOS WHERE THE FUEL TANK COULD IGNITE, ESPECIALLY IF ONE WAS TO BE REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. IT IS NOT PROTECTED BY "SOLUTION" TO REPLACE THE TOW BAR PACKAGE. I KNOW SERVERAL OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME VEHICLE AND FUEL TANK SKID PLATE RUSTING THROUGH COMPLETELY. THIS COMBINATION OF THE TAKATA AIRBAGS DEPLOYING UNEXPECTEDLY ALONG WITH THE EXPOSED FUEL TANK, & TRULY ENDANGERS THE LIVES OF THE DRIVER, ALL OCCUPANTS AND POTENTIALLY ANYONE ELSE IN THE VICINITY, IF ONE OR BOTH WE'RE TO EXPLODE. POTENTIALLY CAUSED ME LOSE OF LIFE TO THOSE INVOLVED.
