DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THERE WAS AN INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE, AND THE VEHICLE JERKED FROM SIDE TO SIDE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO DETERMINED THE ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTERWARDS, THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT ALERTED.

JEEP - DAIMLER CHRYSLER CORP IS RATIONING RECALL REPAIR PARTS WHEN A DANGEROUS CONDITION EXISTS IN THEIR VEHICLES. IN ADDITION, I MADE THE APPOINTMENT FOR THIS SPECIFIC RECALL ISSUE OVER 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE AND THE DEALER MADE NO ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME TO LET ME KNOW THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS IMPACTED ON THE FRONT END BY ANOTHER VEHICLE, AND ENDED ABRUPTLY ON A MEDIAN STRIP. ALL THE OCCUPANTS WERE WEARING THEIR SEATBELTS AND THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT WAS NOT ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. PICTURES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSIS.
I AM A PARAPLEGIC THAT HAS NO FEELING FROM MY CHEST DOWN. I RECEIVED A 3RD DEGREE BURN ON MY LEFT BUTTOCKS FROM THE HEATED LEATHER SEATS IN MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. I USED IT FOR A TOTAL OF ABOUT 1 1/2 HOUR TO 2 HOURS, WITH ABOUT AN HOUR BREAK IN THE MIDDLE. I NOTIFIED JEEP, THEY LOOKED AT AND SAID IT WASN'T THEIR FAULT. I HAVE A BURN AND SCAR TO PROVE IT. *JB
DEFECTIVE CLIMATE CONTROL BLEND DOORS CAUSING POOR/NO DEFROST LEADING TO POOR VISIBILITY, WHICH COULD RESULT IN CRASH. *JB
I WAS IN A CAR WASH. WHEN I WAS TO MOVE TO THE DRYING POSITION I COULD NOT GET THE JEEP OUT OF PARK. I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND WIGGLED THE SHIFT LEVEL. I THEN STARTED THE ENGINE AND TRIED TO MOVE OUT OF PARK, BUT THE ENGINE ROARED AND TOOK OFF LIKE A ROCKET. I COULD NOT STOP THE CAR OR TURN ENGINE OFF. I CRASHED INTO A BLOCK WALL OF A STORE. THE CAR WAS TOTALED. IT WAS LIKE BEING ON A ROCKET WITH NO CONTROL. ACCORDING TO POLICE REPORT I TRAVELED ABOUT 60 YARDS. HAVE NO IDEA OF SPEED ATTAINED. THE CAR WAS ACCELERATING ALL THE WAY. I REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO DAIMLER-CHRYSLER ON 10/27/06. THEY SAID THEY WOULD INSPECT JEEP, BUT HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THE YET. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED A NOXIOUS ODOR OF ROTTEN EGG OR SULFUR WAS NOTICED IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING. THE SMELL WAS MORE NOTICEABLE AT DRIVING SPEEDS OF 55 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SERVICE DEALER, BUT DIAGNOSTICS WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE, ALTHOUGH THE ODOR WAS NOTICED BY THE SERVICE MECHANICS. THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS SUGGESTED AS A POSSIBLE CAUSE BUT NOT CONFIRMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. UPDATED 2/12/2007 - *NM
DT: THE CONTACT STATED NO PROBLEM OCCURRED WITH THE VEHICLE. THERE IS A NHTSA RECALL, #06V197000 ON THE VEHICLE REGARDING THE SEAT HEATER. THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS SINCE BEEN REPAIRED. WARPED FRONT BRAKE ROTORS. *TR
WARPED FRONT BRAKE ROTORS. I RECEIVED CHRYSLER NOTICE TO TAKE MY JEEP TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION. DEALER GAVE IT A QUICK DRIVE AROUND THE BLOCK AND SAID THE ROTORS WERE NOT BAD ENOUGH TO REQUIRE REPLACEMENT. FEW THOUSAND MILES LATER THE WARPING BECAME VERY BAD AND I RETURNED TO DEALER. DEALER SAID IT WAS TOO LATE AS I ALREADY HAD THE INSPECTION. CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD NOT HELP EITHER. I REPLACED THE BRAKE ROTORS AND PADS AT MY OWN EXPENSE. *TR
I TOOK MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE TO THE DEALER AT JUST 39,000 KM. AFTER EXPERIENCING A GRABBING / PULSING SENSATION ON BRAKING. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT ALL FOUR ROTORS WERE WARPED??? SEEMS A LITTLE EARLY. I AM FOLLOWING UP WITH DAIMLER. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE PARKED AND RUNNING WITH THE SEAT BELT UNBUCKLED, THE HEATER WAS TURNED ON FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT AND WITHIN 10 TO 15 SECONDS, THE SEAT CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE HEATER WAS TURNED OFF, AND BOTH OCCUPANTS SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THE SERVICE DEALER WAS CONTACTED, BUT COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE JACK HOOK THAT SUPPORTED THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE FRACTURED WHEN THE WEIGHT WAS LIFTED TO REMOVE THE RIGHT REAR TIRE. A SECOND JACK FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE OF THE SAME DESCRIPTION AND MANUFACTURER WAS USED AND FRACTURED IN THE SAME MANNER. THE SERVICE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND WAS WILLING TO REPLACE ONE OF THE JACKS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED.
VEHICLE DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER BLOWS COLD AIR ONLY. *JB
I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR MY JEEP FOR THE HEATING ELEMENTS IN THE SEATS THAT MAY OVERHEAT AND CAUSE A FIRE. MY DEALER TELLS ME THAT IT WILL TAKE OVER A MONTH FOR THEM TO GET THE PARTS IN FOR THE RECALL. I BELIEVE THIS IS TOO LONG AND I REALLY QUESTION JEEP'S (DAIMLER/CHRYSLER) PRIORITIES SINCE THEY CONTINUE TO SEND OUT NEW VEHICLES WITH THE SAFE ELEMENTS IN THEM WHILE ALLOWING THEIR PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS TO DRIVE AROUND IN UNSAFE VEHICLES WHILE WAITING FOR NEW HEATING ELEMENTS TO SHIP. *JB
WHEN TURN HEAT ON COLD AIR WILL COME OUT. YOU WILL HAVE TO TURN THE HEAD ON AND OFF SO YOU CAN GET HEAT TO WORK. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO THIS TO A 30.000 $ CAR!!!! THIS NEED TO BE FIXED....THIS HAS HAPPENED A LOTS!!!! *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH ON A CITY STREET, THE ENGINE STALLED AND THERE WAS A LOSS OF ALL VEHICLE POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHO DETERMINED THE CRANK CASE SENSOR FAILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED.
WHILE DRIVING, MY REAR RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW ASSEMBLY FAILED ALLOWING WINDOW TO SLIDE ALL OF THE WAY DOWN. THE SUDDEN NOISE STARTLED ME AND NEARLY CAUSED ME TO CRASH. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THIS HAS OCCURRED BUT THE 1ST TIME IT HAPPENED TO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THE DEALER SHIP HAS CHARGED ME OVER $500 EACH TIME THEY REPLACE THE PART. I REPORTED THIS TO DAIMLER-CHRYSLER AND THEY TOLD ME THE WERE "DOCUMENTING MY CONCERN". I AM SCARED TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. PLEASE WARN OTHERS. *NM
I HAVE MADE MANY INQUIRIES INTO HAVING MY HEATED SEATS ON MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SINCE SEPT 06 AS PER RECALL. I HAVE MADE TWO APPOINTMENTS AND HALF A DOZEN CALLS TO THE DEALERSHIP SCAP CHRYSLER JEEP, ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WILL BE A COUPLE OF WEEKS, OR YOU ARE ON THE LIST. THE REPAIR IS NOT DONE. *JB

A FEW WEEKS AGO THE HEAT WENT OUT IN MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A WAY TO COMMON ISSUES WITH JEEPS. I WAS SHOWN HOW TO RUN A DIAGNOSTIC TO DETERMINE IF IT WAS THE BLEND DOOR AND OR THE RECIRC DOOR. FOR ME IT WAS BOTH. I ALSO SAW ONLINE THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS SAME THING. JEEP HAS DONE NOTHING TO ADDRESS THIS BUT SIT BACK AND CHARGE CUSTOMERS TO GET THIS FIXED. LIVING IN THE NORTH AND USING MY CAR FOR WORK PUTS MYSELF AD MY FAMILY IN A BAD POSITION. FAULTY PART WITH THIS MANY COMPLAINTS SHOULD SPUR JEEP TO FIX THEIR CHEAP PART... *TR
VENT CONTROLS DO NOT WORK. WHEN DEFROSTER IS ON AND CHANGE TO VENTS OR FLOOR VENTS DEFROSTER STAYS ON AND WILL NOT CHANGE FOR SEVERAL HOURS. WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER SHIP IT WAS THE BLEND DOOR. *NM
AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM FAILURE LEADS TO LOSS OF WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER. SYSTEM FAILURE IS CAUSED BY FAILURE OF THE BLEND DOORS TO RESPOND TO USER INPUT. SYSTEM FAILURE RESULTS IN LOSS OF AIRFLOW THROUGH WINDSHIELD DEFROST/DEFOG VENTS. OPERATION OF VEHICLE DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER AND SYSTEM FAILURE WILL RESULT IN DECREASED VISIBILITY THROUGH FRONT WINDSHIELD WHICH COULD CONTRIBUTE TO COLLISION, LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL, ETC... NO MANUAL OVERRIDE OF AUTOMATIC SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE. REPAIR REQUIRES REMOVAL OF COMPLETE DASH TO REMOVE AND REPLACE BLEND DOOR ASSEMBLIES. *NM
THE HVAC UNIT DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY IN THE SENSE THAT THE HEAT DOES NOT WORK IN THE WINTER AND THE A/C DOES NOT WORK IN THE SUMMER. THROUGH SOME RESEARCH ONLINE, THIS SEEMS TO BE A BIG PROBLEM AND NEEDS FIXING AT THE MANUFACTURERS EXPENSE. THE COST TO FIX THIS PROBLEM IS AROUND $1000 AND IS ONE THAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. *NM

THE NHTSA RECALL, #06V197000 WAS PERTAINING TO THE SEATS: FRONT ASSEMBLY: SEAT HEATER/COOLER. THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE NOT AVAILABLE AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE BRAKE WAS APPLIED, THE VEHICLE ROCKED BACK AND FORTH. THE BRAKE PEDAL ALSO PULSATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO DETERMINED THE ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE ROTORS.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED A POPPING NOISE OCCURRED IN THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WHILE MAKING A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN AND TRAVELING AS LOW AS 5 MPH. THE NOISE DOES NOT OCCUR WHILE TRAVELING STRAIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALERSHIP WHO DETERMINED THE RIGHT SIDE BALL JOINT WAS DEFECTIVE AND WAS REPLACED. ABOUT ONE MONTH LATER THE NOISE REOCCURRED ON THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES. THERE IS AN NHTSA RECALL, # 06V288000, REGARDING THE SUSPENSION: FRONT: CONTROL ARM: LOWER BALL JOINT. THE VEHICLE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION AT 45 MPH AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. BOTH PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO DETERMINED THE LEFT REAR AXLE WAS BENT. THE DEALER REPLACED THE LEFT REAR AXLE, BUT THE SQUEALING NOISE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED.

THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO DETERMINED THE ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE ROTORS WERE TOO SMALL FOR THE VEHICLE, WHICH CAUSED THEM TO OVERHEAT AND THE WARP. UPDATED *JB
I RECEIVED THE INITIAL RECALL NOTICE FROM DAIMLER CHRYSLER IN AUGUST 2006 CONCERNING THE OVERHEATING OF THE SEAT ELEMENTS IN MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WERE WAITING ON PARTS. THEY WERE GOING TO CALL ME WHEN MY RECALL PARTS ARRIVED. I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING SINCE. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE VEHICLE HAS GOODYEAR WRANGLER ST TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE MUST INFLATE HIS TIRES EVERY TWO WEEKS. THE WHEELS ARE ALUMINUM AND THAT IS WHY HE FEELS THAT THE TIRES WERE ALWAYS UNDERDEFLATED. THE DEALER FOUND NO TIRE FAILURE. THE DOT NUMBER AND TIRE SIZE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
THE BLEND DOORS ON THE HVAC SYSTEM DO NOT ALWAYS FUNCTION AND WILL BLOW COLD AIR IN THE WINTER AND HOT AIR IN THE SUMMER. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE "AUTO" MODE IS ACTIVATED. 1999-2004 LONG HISTORY OF FAILURE AND AFRAID THAT IF I CONTINUE TO USE MINE WILL ALSO FAIL AND WILL EITHER HAVE TO REPAIR MYSELF WITH APPROX 8 HOURS OF LABOR AND OF COURSE THE PRICE OF THE REPAIR UNIT OR HAVE TO PAY EVEN HIGHER PRICE TO JEEP (CHRYSLER) TO HAVE A KNOWN DEFECT REPAIRED AT MY COST. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE PULLED VIOLENTLY TO THE LEFT WHILE THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES FOR BRAKES REPAIRS. AFTER THE LAST INCIDENT THE CONTACT NOTICED THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DID NOT USE ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT PADS WHICH CREATED SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT ROTOR DUE TO METAL TO METAL CONTACT WITH THE CALIPER. THE CONTACT WAS VERY CONCERN BECAUSE DURING THE LAST INCIDENT THE VEHICLE ALMOST HIT THE ROAD RAIL.*AK
I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. HAD PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND WHEN PUTTING THE VEHICLE BACK INTO DRIVE, IT ACCELERATED IN REVERSE AND HIT THE TRUCK BEHIND ME. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE HOWEVER, IT ACCELERATED FORWARD. THE ENTIRE TIME I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. I ACCELERATED THROUGH AN INTERSECTION OVER THE CURB AND I BELIEVE BECAUSE I TURNED THE WHEEL AS I WAS HEADING TOWARDS A BLOCK WHEEL THE JEEP SPUN AND I HIT A TREE. THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAS INVESTIGATED THE EVENT. THERE ARE SKID MARKS AND I HAVE PICTURES, WITNESS BEHIND ME STATED MY BRAKES WERE ON THE ENTIRE TIME AND THERE WAS EVIDENCE FROM THE INVESTIGATION THAT THE BRAKES HAD BEEN APPLIED. HOWEVER THE INVESTIGATOR COULD NOT GET THE VEHICLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND THE THROTTLE WAS NOT STICKING. *JB
DAIMLER CHRYSLER SENT A "SAFETY RECALL F17-HEATED SEAT ELEMENTS" LETTER IN AUGUST, 2006. IT STATES THAT THE HEATING ELEMENTS "MAY OVERHEAT AND CAUSE AN INTERIOR FIRE...". IT GOES ON TO RECOMMEND THAT WE "CONTACT YOUR DEALER RIGHT AWAY TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT" TO REPLACE THE HEATING ELEMENTS. WE CONTACTED THE JEEP DEALER IN SALEM, OREGON IN SEPT. 2006, AND IT ADDED US TO A WAITING LIST. IT IS NOW FEBRUARY, 2007 AND WE ARE STILL WAITING. THE DEALER TODAY ADVISED THAT SO FAR, IT HAS ONLY RECEIVED PARTS FROM ITS SUPPLIER TO REPLACE 8 SEAT ELEMENTS AND IS WAITING FOR MORE. WE ARE AROUND 20+ CUSTOMERS ON A LIST OF 35 STILL WAITING FOR PARTS AND WITH NO PROJECTION OF WHEN MORE PARTS MIGHT ARRIVE. MEANWHILE, WE CONTINUE TO DRIVE WITH A POTENTIAL FIRE DANGER INSIDE OF OUR VEHICLE. *NM

THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE HAS TRIED CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND STILL HASN'T GOTTEN THE RECALL RESOLVED. 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED VEHICLE JERKS SOMETIMES WORSE THAN OTHERS AT THE SAME TIME SPEEDOMETER AND RPM GAUGE DROP AND COME BACK ON ENGINE LIGHT BLINKS AND GOES OFF. TAKEN IT TO DEALER MANY TIMES THEY TOLD ME NOTHING IS WRONG AFTER THREE TIMES THEY REPLACED COMPUTER AND SENT ME ON MY WAY BUT IT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND A YEAR LATER REPLACED COMPUTER AGAIN AS WELL AS THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR AND STILL DID NOT FIX PROBLEM. I RETURNED TO MY CAR TO FIND THAT THE PASSENGER WINDOW DROPPED DOWN INTO THE DOOR. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP STAFF INDICATED THAT THIS IS COMMON IN THE 2004 JEEPS. THE COST TO REPAIR THIS IS $480.00. *NM
ON VACATION, I EXPERIENCED BRAKE FAILURE. I WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. DID NOT HAVE PARTS AND NOTICED ON THE INTERNET THERE WAS A RECALL ON LIKE MODELS. BROUGHT AUTO HOME UN-REPAIRED WAITING FOR RESPONSE FROM CHRYSLER. DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT COVER SERVICE AND NOTED THIS IS A DEFECTIVE MASTER CYLINDER. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT. *JB
CAR WAS PULSATING AND SHAKING TERRIBLY WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED AT 18,000 MILES. WAS TOLD I NEEDED NEW ROTORS AND THAT THEY ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I TOLD THE REPAIR MANAGER THERE WAS NO WAY I PAID $33,000 FOR MY GRAND CHEROKEE AND WAS PAYING $600 TO GET NEW ROTORS EVERY YEAR. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY. AT 29,000 MILES, I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT I NEED NEW ROTORS AGAIN. CALLED CHRYSLER AGAIN AND...TOO BAD THEY ARE NOT COVERED. THIS IS BULL, THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD SPEND $33,000 ON A CAR THAT NEEDS TO HAVE ROTORS REPLACED YEARLY. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER JEEP AND ITS TOO BAD, I HAD NO BRAKE ISSUES WITH MY LAST ONE. *JB
WHILE SETTING IN 2004 GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED, WITH DRIVER WINDOW HALF DOWN, I STARTED TO PUT UP, WHEN POP. LIKE A ROCK HIT IT. THEN IT FELL INTO THE DOOR. GETTING ESTIMATE NOW IN THE RANGE OF $400.00. THAT DAY IT WAS 100 DEGREES. THIS NEXT WEEK WILL SEE TEMP THE SAME WITH THUNDERSTORMS POPPING UP. *NM
2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE HVAC SYSTEM BLEND DOORS HAVE FAILED, SO THAT AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM FAILS TO CONTROL TEMPERATURE AND BLOWS VERY HOT OR COLD AIR AT INAPPROPRIATE TIMES. IMPOSSIBLE TO MAINTAIN CONSTANT TEMPERATURE IN THE VEHICLE. *JB

SINCE THEN CONTACT MADE 3 APPOINTMENTS AND THEY ALL HAVE BEEN CANCELED BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP COULDNOT GET THE PARTS THAT WERENEEDED TO PERFORM THE RECALL WORK ON THE 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 38500, AND THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURES TO DATE.*AK

IS THERE CREAKING FROM THE DASH SECONDS AFTER SHUTTING THE ENGINE OFF? ARE THERE STRANGE NUMBERS POPPING-UP ON YOUR CLIMATE CONTROL DISPLAY? DOES COLD AIR BLOW FROM ONE SIDE OF THE DASH EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE THE HEAT TURNED ON? YOUR VENTILATION SYSTEM MAY HAVE FAILED, OR, MAY BE IN THE PROCESS OF FAILING. 2004 GRAND JEEP CHEROKEE (TRAIL RATED) DROVE THROUGH DRIVE WAY. PUT JEEP IN PARK GOT OUT TO CLOSE GATE BEHIND JEEP. THE JEEP WENT INTO REVERSE BY IT'S SELF. ROLLED OVER A PERSONS FEET KNOCKING HIM TO THE GROUND. FIGHTING WITH MY INSURANCE NOW BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY DAMAGES OR FOR INJURIES . THE JEEP CONTINUED TO ROLL UNTIL IT ROLLED OVER SMALL TREES AND A BIG TREE STOPPED IT. DOING ABOUT $4,000 DAMAGE. *JB
