TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO POWER ON WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO POWER ON THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE IT FINALLY STARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
WHEN STARTING THE JEEP, IT MADE A VIOLENT SHUTTER AND WOULD NOT COMPLETELY START. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS AT TRYING TO START AND THEN STOPPING, THE JEEP FINALLY STARTED SUCCESSFULLY. I CONTACTED THE LOCAL JEEP DEALER WHO STATED THAT UNLESS THE STOP ENGINE LIGHT CAN ON, WHICH WOULD GIVE THEM A CODE TO CHECK, THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. I MENTIONED ISSUES WITH THE TIPM MODULE THAT I HAD READ ABOUT ON THE INTERNET. THEY STATED THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF ANY ISSUES. BEGINNING AROUND JULY 15, 2014, THE JEEP STARTED DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. NOT EVERY TIME WHEN STARTING BUT PROGRESSIVELY MORE OFTEN UNTIL ON JULY 28, 2014, IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. AFTER ATTEMPTING FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE JEEP STARTED AND DROVE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. THIS TIME THEY IDENTIFIED THE TIPM MODULE AS THE PROBLEM, AND THAT THERE WAS A NEED TO WIRE AN EXTERNAL RELAY AROUND THE MODULE SO THAT THE FUEL PUMP RECEIVED POWER. THIS IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT SINCE IT IS AFFECTING SO MANY CARS AND JEEP NEEDS TO ANNOUNCE A RECALL TO FIX THIS DEFECT AND ALSO TO REIMBURSE OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD REPAIRS MADE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THAT THE BRAKE BOOTS AND PEDAL WAS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED TO START NUMEROUS TIMES UNTIL THE FAILURE BECAME PERMANENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE COMPUTER INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
THE TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) IS ON BACK ORDER AND NOW CHRYSLER IS SAYING ITS BACKORDERED TO JANUARY 14, 2014. *TR
THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS WITH FAILING TO START FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE VEHICLE STALLING WHILE IN MOTION WHILE WE WERE TAKING IT IN TO BE FIXED. THE TIPM WAS DIAGNOSED TO BE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED FOR A PRICE OF MORE THAN $1000. THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, BUT THIS PART IS ONLY AVAILABLE FROM A DEALERSHIP AND NEEDS PROGRAMMING TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE CONSEQUENCES COULD BE SEVERE IF THE VEHICLE DIES AT THE WRONG TIME. *TR
THE CAR HAS HAD INTERMITTENT LONG CRANKING TIME FOR ALMOST THE PAST YEAR AND RECENTLY THE FUEL PUMP WOULD KEEP RUNNING AFTER THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF .I WOULD REMOVE THE FUEL PUMP FUSE TO SAVE THE CARS BATTERY.I WAS TOLD THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE OR TIPM. *TR
UPON ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT WILL CRANK BUT NOT TURN OVER TO START. MANAGED TO START THE VEHICLE AND DROVE DIRECTLY TO THE DEALERSHIP. DIAGNOSED WITH A SHORTED OUT TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). PART IS CURRENTLY ON BACK ORDER DUE TO THE HIGH DEMAND FROM CHRYSLER ON THIS PART. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND DETERMINED THAT THERE A HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF JEEP OWNERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. SINCE MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY DEALERSHIP TELLS ME THAT IT IS ON ME TO PAY FOR THE PARTS AND LABOR TO FIX. UNACCEPTABLE. WITH THIS BEING SUCH A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED AND CONSUMERS NOT BE FORCED TO PAY FOR A PART THAT IS CLEARLY FAILING NATIONWIDE. ALSO, SERVICE MANAGER AT BENCHMARK JEEP IN BIRMINGHAM, AL USED AN ANALOGY OF THE PART BEING A LIGHT BULB AND THAT IF YOU TURN ON A LIGHT BULB 100 TIMES IT MIGHT NOT TURN ON THE 101ST. WAY TO STAND BY YOUR PRODUCT!!! SOMETHING AS IMPORTANT AS THE CPU THAT RUNS YOUR CAR SHOULD WORK ALL THE TIME EVERY TIME. ALSO USED AN ANALOGY OF MY HOME COMPUTER CRASHING. ONLY PROBLEM IS I USE APPLE. THEY MAKE AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT AND STAND BY IT!! NEVER BUYING A JEEP AGAIN.. *TR
VEHICLE CRANKING LONG BEFORE STARTING, DEALER DIAGNOSTIC WAS TIPM, JEEP WAS CONTACTED THEY AGREED THEY HAS ISSUES WITH PART MENTIONED AND AGREED IN PROVIDE PART W/$100 DEDUCTIBLE, I STILL PAID FOR THE CRANKING SENSOR AND LABOR, NEW TIPM CREATED MORE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. WHEN TURNING SIGNAL WAS ACTIVATED FOG LIGHTS WERE BLINKING BUT NOT THE TURNING LIGHTS, TAKEN BACK TO DEALER THEY TEMPORARY FIX THE PROBLEM UNTIL JEEP RELEASES THE NEW UPDATE IN AT LEAST 2 MONTHS, AFTER THEY FIXED THE TURNING LIGHTS ANOTHER ISSUED RESULTED, NOW THE STOP TAIL BRAKE LIGHTS DON'T TURN ON IF IGNITION SWITCH IS NOT IN ON POSITION AND SOMETIMES EVEN WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING , OR IF ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING. THIS ISSUE CONCERNS ME A LOT, SINCE THIS IS VERY CRITICAL IF DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND ENGINE STOP WORKING HOW I WILL LET THE VEHICLES BEHIND ME THAT I HAVE AN EMERGENCY AND I'M STEPPING ON THE BRAKES,LIGHTS WILL NOT TURN ON. ARE YOU PEOPLE FROM NHTSA WAITING UNTIL FATALITIES HAPPEN TO FORCE JEEP TO MAKE A RECALL AND FIX THE PROBLEMS.? THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES WITH FAILURES RELATED TO THIS TIPM , PLEASE PREVENT PEOPLE DIE IN CRASHES FOR THIS ISSUE AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. NOW MY CAR IS IN THE DEALER AGAIN BECAUSE THEY CAN PROPERLY FIX IT, AND ALL RELATED TO THIS NEW TIPM. THESE CORPORATION WAS ALREADY BAILOUT WITH OUR TAX MONEY, NOW THEY ARE PASSING THE COST OF REPAIRS TO PEOPLE WHO PURCHASED A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, IT IS VERY SUSPICIOUS THAT ALL OF THE TIPM WENT BAD, BETWEEN 50,000 AND 60,000 MILES JUST AFTER WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED...PLEASE DO SOMETHING. *TR
OCTOBER 20, 2013, ATTEMPTED TO TURN IGNITION OFF WHEN THE STARTER MOTOR REMAINED ENGAGED AND CONTINUED CRANKING AFTER SHUT OFF AND ENGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON. STARTER MOTOR FINALLY DISENGAGED AFTER PUSHING THE START/STOP BUTTON MULTIPLE TIMES. VEHICLE HAS ONLY 20652 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. VEHICLE TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE STARTER MOTOR NEVER REMAINED ENGAGED WHILE CRANKING DURING THEIR TEST. DEALER INVOICE REPORTS "CHECK VEH FOR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, HOOK UP TO SCANNER FOUND "DTC P0108". CHECKED FOR FLASH FOUND POWER TRAIN FLASH REPROGRAM PCM THEN RETEST, VEHICLE OK". DEALER MENTIONED NOTHING ABOUT A POSSIBLE TIPM PROBLEM. VEHICLE RAN FINE FOR A WHILE, BUT THE SAME THING OCCURRED SEVERAL MONTHS LATER. SINCE THE SECOND INCIDENT, NO FURTHER PROBLEMS UNTIL YESTERDAY (SEPTEMBER 6, 2014) WHEN THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START AS THE STARTER MOTOR REMAINED ENGAGED AND CONTINUED TO CRANK. THE STARTER MOTOR DISENGAGED AND STOPPED CRANKING WHEN THE START/STOP BUTTON WAS PUSHED, BUT THE SAME THING HAPPENED 5 SUCCESSIVE TIMES WHEN ADDITIONAL ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO START THE ENGINE. FINALLY, THE VEHICLE STARTED. I GOOGLED THE SYMPTOMS AND LEARNED ABOUT THE ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THE TIPM INVOLVING THE 2011 JEEPS. I'VE RECENTLY RECEIVED TWO RECALL NOTICES FROM CHRYSLER FOR "P36 / NHTSA 14V-391 AND 154" (LAMP WIRING AND BRAKES), BUT NOTHING REGARDING THE TIPM PROBLEM. I NOW HAVE A LACK OF CONFIDENCE IN MY JEEP. *TR
VEHICLE WILL NOT START USING KEY FOB OR PUSH BUTTON START. VEHICLE CRANKS FOR 5 TO 10 SECONDS AND THEN SHUTS DOWN. DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED PROBLEM AS A BAD TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE), A COMMON PROBLEM NATIONWIDE. PARTS AND LABOR TO REPLACE THE TIPM IS $1200. CHRYSLER/JEEP AT 800-247-9753 STATED THEY WOULD NOT ASSIST. *TR
ON 10/18/13 I WAS TRAVELING 40 MPH ON A MAIN ROAD AND AN F-250 PULLED OUT INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC FROM BEING STOPPED ON A SIDE ROAD AND WE COLLIDED. BOTH OUR VEHICLES HAD TO BE TOWED AWAY. I HIT HIS DRIVER SIDE AREA AND MY WHOLE FRONT END WAS SMASHED, BUMPER TORN OFF, FLUID LEAKING FROM THE CAR. IT WAS NOT DRIVABLE. I HAD MY BABY IN THE CAR SEAT IN THE BACK BUT HE WAS FINE. I WAS FINE TOO ASIDE FROM BEING SORE FOR 3 WEEKS AND GETTING WHIPLASH BUT THE MAIN ISSUE THAT CONCERNS ME IS THAT MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG NEVER WENT OFF. IT SEEMS TO ME IT SHOULD HAVE GONE OFF AND I'M WONDERING IF SOMETHING IS FAULTY. WE CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO LOOK AT IT WHILE IT WAS IN THE SHOP, DIDN'T DO THAT, NOW THEY WANT US TO BRING TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE CODE READ AND IN THE MEANTIME I'M STILL DRIVING AROUND IN A POTENTIALLY UNSAFE VEHICLE. AND SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE WITH THE SAME TYPE OF VEHICLE MIGHT BE AS WELL....... *TR
THE T.I.P.M. (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) ON MY JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND HAS MALFUNCTIONED. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE THOUSANDS OF DODGE/CHRYSLER/JEEP CONSUMERS HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE TIPM MODULE. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE WITH ALL CHRYSLER BRAND SUV'S BUILT BETWEEN 2011 AND 2013. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THIS PARTICULAR PART IS NATIONALLY BACK ORDERED DUE TO THE LARGE VOLUME OF CONSUMERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. DUE TO THE SHEAR AMOUNT OF CONSUMERS EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM AN INVESTIGATION BY THE NHTSA SHOULD BE LAUNCHED AND A MANUFACTURER RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED TO PROTECT CONSUMERS FROM THE COSTS (AROUND $1200) ASSOCIATED WITH REPLACING THIS OBVIOUSLY FAULTY PART. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HEARD A NOISE FROM UNDER THE HOOD WHILE THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM). THE TIPM REMAINED ACTIVATED AND ALLOWED THE FUEL PUMP TO REMAIN OPERATING WHEN THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO FAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
I HAVE EXPERIENCING THE SHUDDER/BUMP FEEL WITH THE STEERING WHEN BUMP OR SUDDEN BRAKE. I CHECK THE ARTICLE IN TBS UNDER STEERING 19-004-11 AND CALL THE DEALER. THEY CHECK ON THE VIN OF MY CAR AND SAID THAT THIS ARTICLE IS APPLY TO MY CAR IN THEIR SYSTEM. I HAVE A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND SUMMIT WHICH MFD IS IN APRIL 2011. I ALSO MENTIONED THIS ARTICLE AND ISSUE TO THE DEALER. BUT THEY JUST KEPT SAYING THAT THIS IS NOT IN THEIR SYSTEM BASED ON THE VIN ON MY CAR. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND THE HORN WOULD NOT FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE TIPM MODULE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. VEHICLE DOESN'T START UNTIL SEVERAL ATTEMPTS .............. REMOTE KEY DOESN'T UNLOCK UNTIL SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. *TR
TIPM- I WENT TO START MY JEEP THIS MORNING THAT FELT LIKE A WEAK START UP, IT THEN HICCUPED AND DIED. THINKING IT MAYBE JUST A ONE TIME INCIDENT, TRIED AGAIN, WITH THE RESULT OF THE STARTER JUST CRANKING FOR ABOUT 5-6 SECONDS. THIS REPEATED MULTIPLE MORE TIMES BEFORE I CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO TAKE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC. IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BAD FUEL PUMPS, AND THE COST TO REPLACE WAS $1600. THIS PROMPTED ME TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP AND ASK IF THAT'S EVEN POSSIBLE. AFTER EXPLAINING THE ISSUE AT HAND, THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT HE DOESN'T BELIEVE THE ISSUE TO BE CAUSED BY FAULTY PUMPS, BUT FROM THE TIPM. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE FIRST TIME HE HAS HEARD OF THIS ISSUE. I THEN DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE WEB AND FOUND THIS TO BE A PRETTY PREVALENT ISSUE AMONGST OWNERS OF THIS YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL. WHEN I CALLED HIM BACK TO SEE IF THE BACKORDER ISSUES WERE TRUE, HE TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE AROUND THREE WEEKS TO GET THE PART. I IMMEDIATELY ASKED FOR THE JEEP CORPORATE NUMBER, CALLED THEM, AND BEGAN TO SPEAK TO A GUY ABOUT IT THERE. HE TOLD ME THAT THE PRODUCTION RATE WAS ONE PER 7 DAYS... AND THAT COUPLED WITH THERE ARE TONS OF THESE CASES OUT THERE IS WHY IT WAS GOING TO TAKE A WHILE TO GET THE PART. HE WENT ON TO TELL ME THAT SOUNDS CRAZY, BUT ITS JUST HOW FAST, (OR SLOW) THEY ARE PRODUCING THEM. I ASKED IF THE NEW PRODUCT WAS A REPLICA OF THE ORIGINAL AND HE SAID THIS IS A SOLUTION FOR THE PREVIOUS ONE AND WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM, NOT JUST A BANDAID. HE ADVISED ME TO HAVE IT FIXED AND HOPE THE RECALL COMES AND I WOULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REIMBURSEMENT. WITH THE PRICE OF THIS FIX BEING SO HIGH AND THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE AFFECTED, THIS HAS TO BE RECALLED. PLEASE HAVE ANYONE HAVING THIS ISSUE FILE A COMPLAINT HERE. MY 2011 GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND HAS AN INTERMITTENT STARTING PROBLEM. NOT ALWAYS, BUT A COUPLE OF TIMES A DAY, IT WILL NOT START THE FIRST TIME, IT CRANKS AND CRANKS BUT DOESN'T START, THIS LAST FOR 10 SECS APPROX THEN SHUTS OFF, THIS MIGHT LAST ANYWHERE FROM 1 TO 4 ATTEMPTS, THEN WILL START RIGHT UP. SOMETIMES IT WILL START AND THEN FADE OUT, LIKE OUT OF GAS. OVER THE WEEKEND THE TIME BETWEEN STARTS WAS MORE LENGTHY AND AT ONE POINT IT SHUT OFF AND DRIFTED INTO AN INTERSECTION. JEEP IS "LOOKING INTO THE SITUATION" WHICH ACCORDING TO THE INTERNET IS WIDESPREAD. I WAS TOLD A RECALL WILL NOT OCCUR SINCE ITS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. I WAS STRANDED AT A REST STOP IN RURAL PENNSYLVANIA AT 11:30 PM OVER THE WEEKEND, I THINK THAT'S A SAFETY CONCERN. MY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ISSUE WILL EXCEED $2000K AND DEALERSHIPS ARE ONLY ALOUD TO ORDER ONE PART A WEEK SINCE ITS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER. ANY TIME A NEW VEHICLE THAT IS WELL MAINTAINED STRANDS YOU OR STALLS AND DRIFTS INTO AN INTERSECTION, ITS A CONCERN. THE ISSUE IS RANDOM AND CAN BE UNEXPECTED. PLEASE INVESTIGATE. *TR
VEHICLE: 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 4X4, PURCHASED NEW IN OCTOBER 2010. I EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTLY IN STARTING VEHICLE, PROBLEM PERSISTED AND BECAME WORSE. DEALERSHIP INDICATED BAD FUEL PUMP, REPLACED AT A COST OF $1,000.00 +. STARTING PROBLEM PERSISTED AND AGAIN BACK TOO DEALERSHIP. DIAGNOSIS THIS TIME WAS BAD STARTER MODULE (TIPM UNIT) COST $1,000.00 + AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE PART WAS ON "EXTREME" BACK ORDER AND THEY COULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE ON THE ARRIVAL DATE . I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE BAD TIPM HAD CREATED AN ELECTRICAL SHORT THAT HAD LED TO THE INITIAL FAILURE OF THE FUEL PUMP. PRESENT: EIGHT (8) WEEKS HAVE PASSED AND NO PART AVAILABLE AND A VEHICLE SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY GATHERING THE LEAVES OF THE CHANGE OF THE SEASON. I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL JEEP OWNER FOR THE PAST 25 YEARS WITH AT LEAST SEVEN (7) VEHICLES. THIS ONE IS THE MOST PROBLEM PLAGUED VEHICLE OF THEM ALL, WITH MAJOR ELECTRICAL/COMPUTER PROBLEMS. WHEN TRYING TO COME TO A STOP, THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES AS FAR AS ALLOWED AND VEHICLE CONTINUES TO ROLL FOR 5, 10, 15 FT. THE BRAKES OPERATE AS NORMAL AT SPEEDS, BUT WHEN YOU TRY TO STOP, IT DOESN'T HAPPEN AS EXPECTED. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND POWER BRAKE BOOSTER. THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE COSTS AS IT'S OUT OF MANUFACTURER WARRANTY, LUCKILY I PURCHASED THE LIFETIME BUMPER TO BUMPER EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THEY WANTED ME TO PAY THE DEDUCTIBLE ASSOCIATED WITH THAT POLICY. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THAT EITHER SO I CALLED CHRYSLER DIRECTLY, THEY IN TURN CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD ME TO TALK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER TO SEE IF HE'D WAIVE THE DEDUCTIBLE. I WAS SURPRISINGLY SUCCESSFUL AT GETTING THE DEDUCTIBLE WAIVED, BUT HE DID NOT HAVE TO. A VEHICLE WITH 43K SHOULD NOT HAVE THESE ISSUES AND I SEE THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM, THEREFORE THAT IS WHY I'M REPORTING IT. JEEP WOULD NOT START I THOUGHT IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP SO I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC. THE DIAGNOSED IT AN ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS THE PUMP. THEY CHANGED IT OUT AND I STILL HAD THE SAME ISSUE. TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE IS GOING OUT ON MULTIPLE JEEP VEHICLES. THE TIPM CONTROLS LIGHTS, HORNS, WIPERS, AIR BAGS, ETC. WHEN THE PART QUITS WORKING, IT CAUSES MULTIPLE ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START, WHICH CAN LEAVE THE OWNER STRANDED. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED WITHIN A FEW MINUTES AND RESUMED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED AFTER THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS AKIN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE IN WHICH THE TIPA MODULE WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AND THE PART WAS ORDERED.
