WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE BATTERY SENSOR LIGHT SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED FOR APPROXIMATELY TEN MINUTES BEFORE THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WENT UP AND THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WENT DOWN. THE VEHICLE BOUNCED REPEATEDLY. THE CONTACT PARKED THE VEHICLE AND, WHEN THE IGNITION WAS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION, THE AIR SUSPENSION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AS WELL AS FOUR UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR COMPRESSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,600.

OXYGEN SENSOR SHORTED OUT THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE CAUSING THE ENGINE TO ALMOST STALL OUT AND ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON AND FLASH. HAD TO REPLACE OXYGEN SENSOR AND POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE TOOK AN ABNORMALLY LONG TIME TO STOP. IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE DEPRESSED EXCESSIVELY AND THE VEHICLE JERKED AS IF IT DROVE OVER A SPEED BUMP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING; HOWEVER, DETAILS OF THE BRAKE FAILURE COULD NOT BE PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY VEHICLE HAS A RECALL (R09/NHTSA 15V-115) FOR FAILURE OF THE TIPM RESULTING IN VEHICLE STALLS AND NON STARTS WHICH HAVE OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS SINCE 2013 MOST RECENTLY 12/15/15. MY VEHICLE HAS STALLED IN TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY AND INTERSTATE AT SPEED IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ALMOST CAUSING SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALER (NAPOLETON) WHO ATTEMPTED TO FIX WITHOUT RESOLVE. IN FACT, I BROUGHT BACK AFTER THERE FIRST ATTEMPT AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $1600 TO REPAIR. I HAVE RESEARCHED OTHER COMPLAINTS AND TRULY KNOW THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT IS PART OF THE SAFETY RECALL. ADDITIONALLY, MY AIRBAG LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON WHICH IS ALSO ADDRESSED IN THE RECALL. JEEP HAS REFUSED TO REPAIR AND I CANNOT DRIVE VEHICLE DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. PLEASE HELP.
VEHICLE RECALL REPAIR (TIPM FUEL PUMP RELAY) WAS COMPLETED ON SEP 03, 2015 AND AGAIN FOLLOWED UP ON SEP 14, 2015. NO START CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO OCCUR MULTIPLE TIMES PER WEEK. MUST CYCLE THROUGH IGNITION/ACCESSORY/RUN/OFF MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE STARTING ON OCCASION. THIS CONDITION MAY HAPPEN 1, 2, OR 3 TIMES IN SUCCESSION BEFORE ENGINE WILL START. OTHER TIMES THERE IS NO OCCURRENCE FOR MANY DAYS.
AUTOMATIC LIGHT SENSOR WILL TURN OFF HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT WHILE DRIVING
I BOUGHT A 2012 GRAND CHEROKEE USED THREE WEEKS AGO TO THE DAY WHEN WHILE DRIVING THE KIDS TO THE LIBRARY SATURDAY, SUDDENLY ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS (CHECK ENGINE, ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, BRAKE, SERVICE POWER STEERING SYSTEM ETC.) BUZZERS, SPEEDOMETER AND TRANSMISSION POSITION STARTED ACTING ERRATICALLY. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. AFTER A FEW MINUTES I RESTARTED IT AND MADE IT TO MY DRIVEWAY WHEN IT DID IT AGAIN. I GOT IT INTO MY GARAGE, DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY CABLE AND LET IT SIT UNTIL THIS MORNING. WHEN I RE-CONNECTED THE CABLE AND STARTED THE CAR ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. SO THE WIFE FOLLOWED ME TO THE DEALER WHERE WE DROPPED IT OFF. LUCKILY IT MADE THE 8 MILE TRIP WITHOUT ANY OTHER ISSUES. THEN A FEW HOURS LATER THE SERVICE DEPT. CALLED ME TO SAY IT WAS THE TIPM, APPX. $950.00, NOT UNDER WARRANTY, AND ABOUT 3 TO 5 DAYS TO FIX.
VEHICLE WILL STALL DURING USE WHEN FOOT IS REMOVED FROM GAS PEDAL. WHILE DRIVING AT FULL SPEED FOR THE ROAD AND NEEDING TO TAKE FOOT OFF GAS PEDAL, THE JEEP'S ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF AND I RECEIVE NO LIGHT INDICATING THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED. IT ISN'T UNTIL I ATTEMPT TO TURN THE WHEEL OR STOP THE JEEP THAT I REALIZE I HAVE NO POWER. TYPICALLY HAPPENS WHEN DEACCELERATING DOWN AN EXIT RAMP OR WHEN TURNING THROUGH A TRAFFIC LIGHT. VERY DANGEROUS TO NOT BE ABLE TO TURN STEERING WHEEL AND EVEN MORE DANGEROUS WHEN I HAVE SOMEONE IMMEDIATELY BEHIND ME THAT DOESN'T REALIZE MY CAR HAS STALLED AND IS STILL MOVING AS IF I'M MOVING. I NOTICED THIS HAPPENING PRIOR TO RECALL NOTICE15V-115 AND HAD THE RECALL WORK COMPLETED ON 8-17-15. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AND THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND THE JEEP'S COMPUTER IS NOT SHOWING THAT THERE HAVE BEEN ANY ENGINE STALLS. SPECIFICALLY, THIS HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION IMMEDIATELY AFTER TAKING FOOT OFF OF THE GAS PEDAL. IT HAS HAPPENED ON HIGHWAY EXIT RAMPS, AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON MAIN ROADWAYS, AND WHILE TURNING THROUGH A LIGHT ON A CITY STREET. 100% RELATED TO GOING ABOVE 35 MPH AND REMOVING FOOT OFF OF THE GAS.
IN MY 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND MODEL WITH A LEATHER DASHBOARD, THE LEATHER MATERIAL HAS SEPARATED FROM THE DASHBOARD AND IS AFFECTING THE WINTER PERFORMANCE OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER BY PARTIALLY BLOCKING THE AIR VENTS. THIS PRESENTS A SAFETY HAZARD THAT WILL ONLY GET WORSE WITH TIME UNTIL JEEP ISSUES A RECALL TO FIX OR REPLACE THE FAULTY DASHBOARDS ON THESE VEHICLES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A NOISE FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CONTACT HAD TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED FOLLOWED BY THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART AND WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL PUMP FAILED AND THE ENTIRE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THE SAME DIAGNOSIS WAS RENDERED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.
THE LEATHER DASHBOARD IS SHRINKING AND COMING UNGLUED FROM THE DASHBOARD FRAME. THE DEFROSTER VENTS ARE NOW AFFECTED AND BEING PULLED BY THE DISINTEGRATING LEATHER. I AM CONCERNED THAT SINCE THE DASHBOARD COATING IS NO LONGER AFFIXED TO THE CAR, THE DASHBOARD WILL BE RIPPED OFF AND BECOME A PROJECTILE IF THE AIRBAGS INFLATE. THE PROBLEM EXISTS ALL THE TIME BUT THE THREAT EXISTS MOST WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION.
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 2012 HEADLINER FIRE. RECALL P36. HEADLINER BURST INTO FLAMES WHILE STATIONARY IN MY DRIVEWAY AT HOME. HAD BEEN DRIVING THE CAR 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE FIRE STARTING. LOTS OF SMOKE AND NOXIOUS FUMES COMING FROM THE HEADLINER AREA ABOVE THE WINDSHIELD PRIOR TO THE FIRE. THINKING THAT THIS WAS PROBABLY AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, I WAS TRYING TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY CABLE TO PREVENT FURTHER ELECTRICAL CURRENT FLOWING THROUGH THE WIRING. BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, FLAMES ERUPTED JUST ABOVE THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT WINDOW. I WAS ABLE TO DISTINGUISH THE FLAMES WITH WATER FROM A GARDEN HOSE AND HIGH PRESSURE NOZZLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND ARRIVED WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF THE CALL. THEY CUT OUT THE HEADLINER, CUT THE WIRING AND DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY CABLE. I REPORTED THIS INCIDENT TO CHRYSLER ON NOVEMBER 28. THEY SENT AN INVESTIGATOR TO INVESTIGATE THE SITUATION AND SUBMIT A REPORT. THE REPORT HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY CHRYSLER AND IT IS MY UNDERDTANDING IT IS NOW IN THEIR LEGAL DEPARTMENT, WHERE IT HAS BEEN FOR ALMOST A MONTH. I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM CHRYSLER ON THIS MATTER. I HAVE CONTACTED THE JEEP RECALL CENTER AT LEAST 8 TIMES OVER THE LAST 30 DAYS AND AM TOLD BY THEM THAT SOMEONE WILL BE CONTACTING ME WITHIN 2 TO 3 BUSINESS DAYS. IT NEVER HAPPENS. ALSO, I HAD HAD THE P36 RECALL SERVICE PERFORMED AT THE CHRYSLER DEALER ON JULY 30, FOUR MONTHS PRIOR TO THE FIRE. I HAVE NOW SEEN THAT THERE IS A NEW RECALL NOTIFICATION FROM CHRYSLER, DECEMBER 24, ON THIS SAME P36 VANITY LAMP WIRING ISSUE. THE NEW RECALL SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSES 2011 - 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE'S THAT HAVE HAD THE ORIGINAL P36 RECALL SERVICE PERFORMED. IT APPEARS THEY ARE TRYING TO RE-FIX A PROBLEM THE DEALERS DID NOT FIX THE FIRST TIME. WHO CAN I CONTACT TO GET SOME HELP WITH THIS? SO FAR CHRYSLER IS DOING NOTHING TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER WITH ME. DRIVING ABOUT 45MPH ON CITY STREET DURING FIRST SNOW STORM OF THE YEAR. APPROACHING RED LIGHT, ENGAGED BRAKES, HEARD ANTI-LOCK START TO KICK IN, THEN HEARD A POPPING NOISE, AND THEN NEAR COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKE POWER. NO ACCIDENT. NEED TO PUSH BRAKES EXTREMELY HARD IN ORDER TO GET EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BRAKING ABILITY. CAR WAS BOUGHT USED AS A CPOV FROM DEALER IN LATE 2014. WAS NOT INFORMED OF POTENTIAL BRAKE ISSUE.
MY VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO DEALERSHIP WHEN IT STOPPED WHILE DRIVING ON A PUBLIC HIGHWAY.AT THE TIME THEIR WERE FOUR (4) RECALLS. AFTER TWO MONTHS AT THE DEALERSHIP I WAS ABLE TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE WHICH WAS PARTLY REPAIRED INCLUDING P36/NHTSA 14V-391.APPROXIMATELY 75 DAYS LATER(11-10-15) MY VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE LOCATED IN FRONT OF MY OFFICE. MY VEHICLE WHILE TURNED OFF AND SITTING FOR SOME 15 PLUS MINUTES CAUGHT FIRE IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR VANITY LAMP. I WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH FIRE THEN NOTIFIED DEALERSHIP WHO SENT WRECKER TO TAKE VEHICLE BACK TO THEIR DEALERSHIP.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN I NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE PASSENGER VANITY MIRROR AREA. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER, TURNED THE CAR OFF, AND CALLED 911. THE RESPONDING FIREMEN HAD TO CUT A HOLE IN THE ROOFLINER OF THE AUTOMOBILE IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE LOCATION OF THE START OF THE FIRE, WHICH THEY CONFIRMED WAS THE WIRING TO THE VISOR. THE DIRECT CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS CONFIRMED BY SERVICE EMPLOYEES AT THE DEALERSHIP THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO, AS WELL AS INVESTIGATIVE ENGINEERS FOR CHRYSLER, AS FAULTY WIRING TO THE VISOR LIGHTING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN #14V391000, CHRYSLER RECALL #P36. A RECALL FOR THE VISOR WIRING WAS ISSUED, AND REPAIRS WERE MADE AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE FIRE IN THE VANITY AREA OF THE AUTOMOBILE OCCURRED ROUGHLY A MONTH AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR WAS COMPLETED. THIS LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE SOLUTION FOR THE RECALL ISSUE IS NOT SUFFICIENT AND SHOULD CONTINUE TO BE INVESTIGATED.
THEY HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP SOLINOIDE 3 TIMES , NOW THEY TELL ME THAT ISN`T THE PROBLEM, THEY CALLED THE FACTORY THEY SAID THE PROBLEM IS THE MODULE-WIRELESS N ODE,AND I WAS CHARGED $262.00 FOR THE NODE AND LABOR 455.00 $.717.00 TOTAL.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V115000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
ON 11/3/2015 AT APPROXIMATELY 5:30AM I WAS DRIVING MY 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WHEN I BEGAN TO SMELL STRONG FUMES WHICH I SUSPECTED WAS COMING FROM MY CAR. MOMENTS LATER SMOKE BEGAN OVERWHELMING THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE. I PULLED OVER, GOT OUT AND IT WAS THEN I SAW FLAMES COMING FROM THE TOP OF MY CAR OVER THE AREA OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME TO PUT OUT THE FIRE. THE ROOF AND DRIVER'S SEAT WAS DAMAGED FROM THE FLAMES. INSPECTIONS BY MY AUTO INSURANCE AND JEEP CONFIRMED THE SOURCE OF THE FIRE WAS FROM WIRING LOCATED ON THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR. THIS IS RELATED TO A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE WHICH I HAD ADDRESSED IN OCTOBER 2014 (PAPERWORK ATTACHED AS WELL AS PICTURES OF THE DAMAGED VEHICLE AND FIRE).

UPON INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING FLUID WAS LOW AND THERE WAS AN INTERNAL FRACTURE THAT CAUSED A LEAK OF THE POWER STEERING FLUID WITHOUT WARNING. THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: PE12020 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND DIAGNOSIS TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO REMEDY. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DEWEY DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP (3175 SE DELAWARE AVE, ANKENY, IA 50021, (855) 367-0915) WHERE THE RECALL REMEDY WAS PERFORMED. WHEN THE CONTACT'S WIFE ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD NOT CRANK OR START WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE HAD NOT OCCURRED PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED. THE DEALER INITIALLY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE DEALER INSTALLED TWO NEW RELAYS ON THE VEHICLE, WHICH ALLOWED THE VEHICLE TO RESTART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR A MONTH AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD CRANK, BUT NOT START. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,922. *JS

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VIN WAS REPAIRED PREVIOUSLY UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V154000 (SERVICE BRAKES), BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.

IN THE LAST 2 DAYS, MY 2012 GRAND CHEROKEE HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING TWICE. ON 10/29/2015 EXITING THE HIGHWAY WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. THE SECOND TIME WAS THE FOLLOWING DAY 10/30/2015 WITH MY WIFE DRIVING BY HERSELF. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR ABOUT 30 DAYS. I PURCHASED IT FROM THE DEALERSHIP. THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS. THE RADIO AND LIGHTS ALL STILL WORKED. I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE WITH NO BRAKES, NO POWER STEERING. ONCE STOPPED I COULD PUT IT IN PARK AND START IT AGAIN WITHOUT ISSUE.
VEHICLE ENGINE SHUT OFF DURING RIGHT TURN IN BUSY INTERSECTION WITHOUT ANY WARNINGS. UNABLE TO TURN OR CONTROL VEHICLE. ALSO THE BRAKE ON LIGHTS COME ON IN THE CONSUL DURING NORMAL OPERATION. BASED ON OTHER JEEP MODEL RECALLS, I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM MAY BE RELATED TO THE TIPM-7 MODULE. THE VEHICLE IS A GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLANDER 4WD. VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AND HAS NOT HAD ANOTHER FAILURE, HOWEVER, THIS IS AN UNSAFE DRIVING SITUATION WHEN THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE DIES WHILE IN MOTION IN ANY ROAD CONDITION. MAYBE RELATED TO RECALLS P54.
WENT IN TO GET AN OIL CHANGE TODAY AND FOUND OUT MY JEEP'S STEERING RACK IS LEAKING. THE CAR HAS 51,000 MILES AND THEY SAID IT SHOULDN'T BE LEAKING ALREADY. FROM WHAT I'VE LEARNED THIS SEEMS TO BE A FAULTY PART AND NOT DUE TO POOR MAINTENANCE OF THE VEHICLE, I JUST PURCHASED IT 4 MONTHS AGO SO I KNOW I DID NOT CAUSE THE PROBLEM.

WHILE TRAVELING DOWN A PAVED COUNTRY ROAD AT NIGHT, THE INDICATOR LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD STARTED BLINKING, THE ENGINE QUIT AND THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. THE HAZARD LIGHTS WOULDN'T WORK, SO I WAS SITTING IN TOTAL DARKNESS. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. I COULD'T GET IT OUT OF PARK TO MOVE IT OFF THE ROAD. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER HAD TO DRAG THE JEEP ONTO THE BED OF THE TOW TRUCK BECAUSE THE WHEELS WOULDN'T TURN. THE SERVICE DEPT. AT THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE TIPM AND CORE RETURN. THEY HAD NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THIS OCCURRED, WHICH IS VERY UNSETTLING.

I HAVE MADE 4 CALLS TOTAL TO FRONTIER IN LUBBOCK AND ALL AMERICAN IN MIDLAND WITH NO RESPONSE ON RESOLVING THE RECALLS P36, P14 AND FUEL PUMP RELAY. FIRST CALL WAS MADE IN OCTOBER 2015. LEFT 2 VOICE MESSAGE2 AND TALKED TO 2 REPS. THAT SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK TO SCHEDULE.
SUDDEN STALL OUT WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH (ON TELEGRAPH ROAD, REDFORD, MI AREA- CITY STREET). THIS HAS OCCURRED ONCE AFTER THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE.
IN AUGUST OF 2014 I NOTICED A FIRM RESPONSE FROM MY BRAKE PEDAL WHEN STARTING THE CAR. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER, GRAVA IN MEDFORD MA, AND THEY TOLD ME THEY FIXED IT AND THAT IT WAS COVERED UNDER RECALL P14. I LATER LEARNED THEY ONLY REPLACED THE BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP SHIELD AND NOT THE BOOSTER. IN OCTOBER OF 2015 I HAD A SUDDEN LOSS OF BRAKE POWER WHEN MY BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED AND HAD TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THIS OCCURRED; LUCKILY SLOW SPEED.
I HAD MY JEEP IN SOME TIME AGO FOR THE BRAKE BOOSTER RECALL BUT OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS, I HAVE BEGUN TO NOTICE A SOUND OF AIR WHEN I AM PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. SOME INFORMATION THAT I HAVE FOUND SEEMS TO DENOTE THIS AS AN ISSUE WITH THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILING. I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS MEANS THAT THIS WAS NOT FIXED WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AS THIS SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE AS TIME GOES BY. THE DATE BELOW IS AN ESTIMATE BASED ON WHEN THIS STARTED BUT IT IS NOT A DIRECT DAY OF OCCURRENCE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW.
WITHOUT WARNING, SMOKE BEGAN COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. WAS DRIVING ALONG ROADWAY FOR APPROX 5 MINUTES WHEN IT HAPPENED. CAR THEN DIED AND WOULD NOT TURN ON; KEYS WERE STUCK IN THE IGNITION AS WELL. DIAGNOSED AS COMPLETELY DEAD ALTERNATOR AND FRIED BATTERY. CAR ONLY HAS 30K MILES ON IT.

WE ARE EXPERIENCING STARTING ISSUES WITH THE TIPM MODULE NOT RECOGNIZING THE FOB. IT MAY TAKE UP TO 10 TRIES TO GET INTO THE VEHICLE AND THEN JUST AS MANY TRYING TO GET IT STARTED. IT HAS HAD THE R09 RECALL PERFORMED, BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED. THE PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, AND YOU TRY TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE VEHICLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE RED BATTERY LIGHT LIT UP ON MY DASHBOARD. WITHIN SECONDS OF THE BATTERY LIGHT COMING ON THE CAR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL. THE DIAGNOSIS FROM THE DEALER MECHANIC WAS A SHORTED ALTERNATOR WHICH CAUSED THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) TO SHORT.

WE NOTIFIED THEM ABOUT THE APRIL 2015 RECALL R09 /NHTSA 15V-115, AND THEY SAID THE PARTS ARE ALSO NOT AVAILABLE. BOTH RECALL NOTICES STATE THE VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS --- VEHICLE SHUTDOWN OR UNDERHOOD ELECTRICAL FIRE FOR THE FIRST RECALL AND A CRASH FOR THE SECOND RECALL. JEEP IS NOT PROVIDING REPAIR PARTS IN ANYWHERE NEAR A TIMELY MANNER! THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS AND MUST BE REPAIRED!
