JEEP LIBERTY 2002 MODEL SUBJECT TO RECALL FOR LOWER BALL JOINT FAILURE, RECALL #F23. LOWER BALL JOINTS REPLACED BY DEALER, FOUND UPPER BALL JOINTS ALSO WORN OUT. THIS PROBLEM IS SIMILAR TO THE CAUSE OF THE LOWER BALL JOINT FAILURE - SEAL FAILURE WITH ATTENDANT LUBRICATION FAILURE AND CORROSION. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY. HE STATED THAT HIS DAUGHTER'S VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED AS PART OF A RECALL (NHTSA CAMPAIGN #03V460000) FOR THE LOWER BALL JOINT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED TWICE. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE UPPER BALL JOINT WAS DAMAGED DUE TO A TORN RUBBER PAD. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE BRAKES ON THE VEHICLE WERE INAPPROPRIATE BASED ON THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. HE STATED THAT THE LOWER BALL JOINTS SEPARATED. THE SERVICE STATION REPAIRED THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT AXLE AND UPPER TIE ROD. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 107,536 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,701.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE DROPPED AND THERE WAS A BLOW OUT ON THE TIRE. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT CAUSED THE FAILURE. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID #06V288000). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WANTED TO CHARGE TO REPAIR THE TIRE AND THE WHEEL. HE FELT THE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT CAUSED THE DAMAGE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 90,000.
AIR CONDITIONER/COMPRESSOR WAS FALLING, CAUSING THE SERPENTINE BELT TO BURN, AND ALSO NOT ALLOW THE ALTERNATOR TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY. FINALLY, THE A/C UNIT COMPLETELY SEIZED. AND THE CAR WAS IMMOBILIZED. THE DEALER HAD BEEN ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY BEEN DOING OIL CHANGES AND 23 POINT INSPECTIONS SINCE BUYING THE VEHICLE. THEY SOMEHOW CONVENIENTLY MISSED THIS ONE WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE. IN ANY EVENT, A VEHICLE LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD SHOULD NOT BE A FIRE HAZARD NOR LOSE IT'S AC TO SEIZING! *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BLOWER MOTOR CONNECTOR FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. ONCE HE REMOVED THE PLUG FROM THE BLOWER MOTOR, HE FOUND THAT THE MOTOR WAS CORRODED AND SUSTAINED HEAT DAMAGE. THE CABLES HAVE ALL BEEN BURNED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 79,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT. THE CONTACT THEN HEARD A NOISE AND THE VEHICLE DROPPED DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A CHRYSLER DEALER AND DIAGNOSED AS NEEDING THE LOWER BALL JOINTS REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE REPLACED IN 2003. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 82,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD ILLUMINATED AND A BELL RANG. THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF, BUT WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE ENGINE LOCKED AND AGREED THAT THIS IS UNUSUAL AT 94,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS WELL MAINTAINED. CHRYSLER STATED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO ASSIST HIM SINCE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 94,000.

ONE YEAR LATER, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE LEFT TURNS, HE HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE. HE HAS NOT HAD THE VEHICLE INSPECTED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. WE DRIVE A JEEP LIBERTY 2002 WHICH WE PURCHASED AT CARMAX IN ARLINGTON,TX IN 2006. DESPITE HAVING NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH ELECTRIC WINDOWS FOR WHICH THEY HAD TO REPLACE UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, WE BEGAN TO NOTICE A LOUD POPPING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT END WHEN WE MAKE A HARD LEFT OR RIGHT TURN. WE TOOK THE CAR TO A SERVICE MECHANIC, DIAGNOSED CV AXLES,BALL-JOINT PROBLEMS. ATTEMPT MADE TO CORRECT IT IN SEVERAL OCCASIONS, BUT THE PROBLEM RE-OCCURRED AND GETTING MORE WORRISOME BY THE AMOUNT IF TIME IT HAPPENED IN A DAY AND 7 DAYS/WEEK. WE ALSO TAKE NOTICED THAT WE'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE (JEEP OWNERS) WITH THIS PROBLEM, WE ARE TIRED TO TAKE THE JEEP TO REPAIR MECHANICS AND TRULY, WE FEEL UNSAFE TO DRIVE IT ON THE FREEWAY. AFTER HAVING SATISFIED NOT ONE, BUT TWO RECALLS ON THE 2002 JEEP LIBERTY RENEGADE FOR LOWER BALL JOINT ISSUES, THE UPPER BALL JOINT ON THE DRIVER SIDE FAILED AS I PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE. THE TIRE FELL INTO THE BALL JOINT, STOPPING THE JEEP (MOVING AT 5 MPH) IN ITS TRACKS. I AM VERY THANKFUL THIS DID NOT OCCUR ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH NOT 10 MINUTES EARLIER. SLIGHT NOISES WERE COMING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE AND HAD JUST GOTTEN A BIT WORSE A DAY OR TWO BEFORE THE FAILURE (ALTHOUGH IT WAS DRIVING NORMALLY), SO I WAS ABOUT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR IT. FORTUNATELY, NOBODY WAS HURT, THE CAR ITSELF IS FINE TOO, WELL, OTHER THAN THE MISSING WHEEL... PARTS WILL BE REPLACED TOMORROW AT MY EXPENSE - I AM ATTEMPTING TO WORK WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER AND LIKELY CHRYSLER DIRECTLY TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE OBVIOUS FLAW. A 4 1/2 YEAR OLD VEHICLE WITH 65K MILES DRIVEN NORMALLY SHOULD NOT SIMPLY FALL APART LIKE THIS - WARNING TO ALL JEEP LIBERTY OWNERS TO HAVE ALL UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS INSPECTED REGULARLY (AT LEAST ANNUALLY) FOR THIS DANGEROUS CONDITION.

THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN RECALL CAMPAIGN NO'S 03V460000 AND 06V288000. DURING A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE BALL JOINTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CALL WAS DISCONNECTED BEFORE GETTING VIN AND OTHER VEHICLE-BASIC INFORMATION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 MILES. BK
THE DRIVER SIDE OF MY JEEP HAS BEEN GETTING WATER ON THE FLOOR. YESTERDAY THERE WAS ABOUT 2 INCHES IN THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE DRIVERS SIDE THE PASSENGER SIDE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DRY. IS THERE A RECALL ON WHATEVER STOPS THE WATER FROM COMING INTO THE CARE. THE FLOOR NORMALLY ONLY GETS WET THIS IS THE WORST. *TR

WHEN THE DEALER TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A TEST DRIVE, TRAVELING AT 25 MPH, THE LEFT FRONT TIRE CAME OFF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NEVER RECEIVED THE BALL JOINT RECALL NOTICE. CHRYSLER STATED THAT THEY DID NOT GET ALL THE NOTICES OUT ON TIME, DUE TO THE LARGE QUANTITY, AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE SHOP AND WILL REQUIRE OTHER PARTS TO BE REPLACED, WHICH WILL COST OVER $1,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 100,003.
AIR CONDITIONING UNIT WORKS FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES AND THEN STARTS BLOWING WARM AIR. CLUTCH ON AC COMPRESSOR FOUND TO BE DISENGAGING CAUSING THE AC TO TURN OFF. DID NOT HAVE REPAIR DONE SINCE IT WILL COST $1000 ON A 4YO VEHICLE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT SMELL GASOLINE WHENEVER THE AIR CONDITIONER OR HEATER WAS ACTIVATED. THE REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT ONE OF THE FUEL INJECTORS WAS LEAKING. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FUEL INJECTOR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 59,000. UPDATED 12/31/07 *BF UPDATED *JB
IN NOVEMBER OF 2006, I HAD A RECALL FIXED FOR THE "FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER BALL JOINT" WHEN THE PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK 3 DAYS LATER HAVING ISSUES WITH THE STEERING AND HEARING A NOISE. THE DEALERSHIP TOOK THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS AND DID A COMPLETE INSPECTION AND ASSURED ME THE NEW PARTS WERE SUFFICIENT. EVERY NOW AND THEN (NOT CONSTANT, BUT SCARCELY) WHEN I WOULD TURN THE WHEEL JUST A LITTLE, THE CAR WOULD TURN AS IF I HAD TURNED MY WHEEL ALL THE WAY. IT SCARED ME A FEW TIMES, BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN OFTEN AT ALL, SO I DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT. ON MAY 31, 2007, I WAS MERGING ONTO I-91 IN CONNECTICUT DRIVING ONLY 22 MILES PER HOUR, AND MY CAR DID THAT VERY THING. I WENT UP AND OVER THE CURB, UP THE EMBANKMENT AND CRASHED INTO A STEEL CONNECTICUT STATE SIGN. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE SIGN, I WOULD HAVE CONTINUED TO LOSE CONTROL AND POSSIBLY BEEN KILLED. HITTING THE SIGN SWUNG MY BACK END AROUND, WHERE I ROLLED DOWN THE EMBANKMENT AND TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. MY CAR SUSTAINED OVER $7,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE AND HAS DAMAGED MY PERFECT DRIVING RECORD. NO OTHER CAR WAS INVOLVED AND NO ONE WAS HURT, INCLUDING MYSELF. I WAS VERY FORTUNATE, BUT I FEEL THERE NEEDS TO BE FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO THE PREVIOUS RECALL AND POSSIBLY A NEW RECALL SHOULD BE POSTED TO ELIMINATE THIS PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS DESPITE THE RECALL FROM LAST YEAR. *JB

HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS STILL RUNNING AT THE TIME OF FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE COMPUTER MODULE CHIP WAS FAULTY. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 42,000.

HE HAS TO STICK A KEY OR A SIMILAR ITEM IN THE BUCKLE TO RELEASE THE SEAT BELT. HE CONTACTED THE DEALER TO REPAIR THE PART AND WAS CHARGED A FEE. AS OF JULY 23, 2007, THE SEAT BELT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. NHTSA DEFECT INVESTIGATION NUMBER EA05022 WAS REFERENCED. THE VIN AND ENGINE SIZE WERE UNKNOWN. AS OF AUGUST 3, 2007, THE BALL JOINTS HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 62,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE LOWER BALL JOINT HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND THE CUPPED TIRES WERE THEN ROTATED TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND THE CONSUMER STATED THERE IS STILL A LOOSE FEELING IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. AIR CONDITIONER WOULD INTERMITTENTLY BLOW WARM AIR. BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, SEVERAL TIMES. EVENTUALLY IT WAS FOUND TO BE THE BEARING IN THE COMPRESSOR. THE BEARING WOULD HEAT UP AND BIND, CAUSING THE CLUTCH NOT TO ENGAGE. HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE COMPRESSOR( $900.00). AIR CONDITIONER FINALLY BLOWS COLD. *JB
THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON WITH REGULARITY RIGHT AFTER THE 2002 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT 4WD WAS PURCHASED USED IN APRIL 2007. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES FOR REPAIR ONLY TO COME BACK ON SOON THEREAFTER. IT IS NOW ON CONTINUALLY. *TR

THERE WAS A NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 04V111000 (LATCHES: LOCKS) FOR THE 2004 JEEP LIBERTY'S. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE SHUT OFF! NO POWER.STEERING, NO POWER BRAKES! NOTHING. FIRST TIME FIXED AT DEALER, PROBLEM WAS TOLD TO BE A SPEED SENSOR. I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT WHEN MY FRONT RIGHT TIRE COLLAPSED AND I HIT THE CURB. THIS WAS DUE TO THE BALL JOINTS BEING DEFECTED. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF MY CAR WAS FIXED BY THE DEALERSHIP FOR NO CHARGE. IT CONCERNS ME THAT I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED THAT THERE WAS A SECOND RECALL ON THE BALL JOINTS OR IN FACT FOR THAT MATTER ON THE AIR BAGS OR THE EXTERIOR LIGHTING. THIS ACCIDENT HAPPENED LAST MARCH, I FELT IT WAS NECESSARY TO MAKE A COMPLAINT AFTER SEEING ON THE TV THE INVESTIGATION THAT IS ON GOING WITH THIS PROBLEM. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT WORK COULD BEGIN IN APPROXIMATELY FOUR TO FIVE WEEKS. ON APRIL 5, 2007 THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS STILL HAD NOT ARRIVED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE 68,985.*AK

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
WITHOUT WARNING THE BODY CONTROL MODULE SHORTS OUT DRAINING THE BATTERY AND DAMAGING THE MULTI-CONTROL SWITCH ON THE STEERING COLUMN. CAUSING THE HEADLIGHTS, INTERIORLIGHTS, RUNNING LIGHTS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS, FACTORY ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS, AND DASHBOARD LIGHTS TO FAIL. THIS CAN CAUSE A FIRE RESULTING IN A TOTAL VEHICLE LOSS OR LOSS OF LIGHTING AT NIGHT WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOOSE SIGHT OF THE ROAD. IN RAIN CONDITIONS LOSS OF WIPERS DURING DRIVING WOULD CAUSE LOSS OF VISIBILITY CREATING A DANGEROUS DRIVER ON THE ROAD. *TR

WHEN IT'S COLD AND EITHER SNOWY OR ICY AT ANY SPEED "5 MPH -- 35 MPH MY JEEP LIBERTY FAILS TO STOP FOR A VERY LONG DISTANCE. AT 5 MPH IT TAKES WELL OVER 30-40 FEET. THE ABS MAKE NOISE LIKE THEY ARE TRYING TO DO SOMETHING. BUT ITS AS IF THEY NEVER ACTUALLY ENGAGE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD TO USE A SNOWY BANK SEVERAL TIMES SO I WOULDN'T ROLL STRAIGHT INTO AN INTERSECTION. THIS VEHICLE HAS DONE THIS SINCE I HAVE HAD IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN NUMEROUS TIMES AND TOLD NOTHING IS WRONG. MY FATHER DROVE THIS SAME VEHICLE AND HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO HIM. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I OWN A 2002 JEEP LIBERTY. IN NOVEMBER OF 2006 I HAD THE BALL JOINT RECALL PERFORMED ON THE JEEP. YESTERDAY I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE BALL JOINT FAILED CAUSING MY WHEEL TO FALL DOWN UNDERNEATH THE JEEP TEARING THE UPPER BALL JOINT OUT. THE RIM AND TIRE WERE DAMAGED DUE TO THIS INCIDENT AS WELL AS OTHER COMPONENTS OF THE FRONT SUSPENSION. IT IS CURRENTLY AT A JEEP DEALERSHIP BEING DIAGNOSED FOR FURTHER DAMAGE. *NM

WHILE DRIVING MY JEEP ON THE INTERSTATE WITH THE LIGHTS ON -- MY ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY MY SPEEDOMETER WAVING UP AND DOWN (FOR EXAMPLE I STOPPED AND THE SPEEDOMETER WAS BOUNCING FROM 0 TO 100 MPH), FOLLOWED BY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATING AND THEN SOMETIME IN THERE I REALIZED THE ODOMETER, BOTH IN THE DASHBOARD INSTRUMENT PANEL AND IN THE OVERHEAD INSTRUMENT PANEL STOPPED WORKING. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE VIA THE INTERNET AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A FAIRLY POPULAR ISSUE DUE TO WIRE SHORTS. I HAVE ALREADY REPLACED THE SPEED SENSOR UNDER THE REAR AXLE JUST TO HAVE THE JEEP DO IT AGAIN IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES OF IN CITY DRIVING WITH JUST ONE PERSON IN THE VEHICLE, AND NOW THE JEEP IS HEADED TO THE SHOP. I AM UNSURE IF THE ABS SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY DURING THIS TIME WHICH IS HAZARDOUS, NOT TO MENTION THE ODOMETER ISN'T RUNNING WHICH IS ILLEGAL. *JB

I CRAWLED UNDER THE CAR AND FOUND TO MY AMAZEMENT THAT ONE BOLT ON EACH FRONT BRAKE CALIPER WAS MISSING AND THE OTHER BOLT WAS ONLY FINGER TIGHT. I CALLED THE KONA AUTO CENTER AND SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER JEFF. I TOLD HIM I WAS ON MY WAY AND HOW DANGEROUS MY SITUATION WAS. JEFF MET ME AS I ARRIVED. HE ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED. I TOLD HIM I JUST WANTED THE TWO BOLTS PUT BACK AND TORQUE ALL THE HARDWARE AND THE BRAKES CHECKED. I ALSO TOLD HIM TO TELL ALL HIS EMPLOYEES THAT ANY TIME THEY TOUCH/DISCONNECT ANY BRAKE SYSTEM THEY BETTER PAY ATTENTION. MY FAMILY LIVES DEPEND ON THEM. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. FIRST THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED GOING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 0 AND 60 THEN ALL ELECTRICAL POWER STARTING SHUTTING DOWN. HEADLIGHTS, INTERIOR LIGHTS AND ALL METERS STOPPED WORKING. THEN THE VEHICLE STARTED STALLING. THE VEHICLE IS NOT THAT OLD AND IT WAS THE COMPUTER THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IGNITION KEY WILL NOT TURN ONCE IT IS IN THE IGNITION. BECAUSE OF THIS THE CAR CANNOT BE STARTED. THE GEAR SHIFTER CANNOT BE MOVED INTO NEUTRAL. THE KEY, ROCKING THE CAR, TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, WORKING THE GEAR SHIFTER, CHANGING THE TILT OF THE STEERING COLUMN, HAVE NO AFFECT ON THE SITUATION. WILL NOT RELEASE THE STEERING COLUMN. THERE HAVE BEEN VARIATIONS OF THIS HAPPENING OVER THE LAST YEAR AND AFTER A FEW JIGGLES IT WORKED JUST FINE, BUT NOW THE IGNITION WILL NOT TURN. *TR

I PHONED THE DEALER A WEEK LATER (DIDN'T MARK THE EXACT DATE AS I WASN'T AWARE IT WOULD BE SUCH A PROBLEM). I WAS TOLD THE PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER AND WOULD BE IN WITHIN TWO TO THREE WEEKS. THEY TOOK MY NAME AND NUMBER AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE PHONED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I NOW FOLLOWED ON 1/22/07 ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THEY HAVE A "PILE" OF NAMES AND ITS TAKING A WHILE TO GET THROUGH THEM. I'M 19TH ON THE LIST AND THEY RECEIVE THE PARTS "PERIODICALLY" AND I'LL BE CALLED WHEN IT'S MY TURN. I WAS ALSO TOLD WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THIS RECALL THAT, "IT'S NOT URGENT, ONLY BEING DONE FOR NOISE." HOWEVER, THE RECALL NOTICE SAYS, "WATER MAY ENTER INTO THE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER BALL JOINTS ON YOUR JEEP AND CAUSE THE BALL JOINT TO CORRODE AND SEPARATE CAUSING A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING." TWO VERY DIFFERENT STATEMENTS. WE TRANSPORT TWO SMALL CHILDREN IN THIS CAR DAILY AND THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I'M WILLING TO ACCEPT. WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE BUT THE DEALER IS DRAGGING THEIR FEET, NO DOUBT BECAUSE IT'S NOT A PAID SERVICE FOR THEM. IF AN ACCIDENT DOES OCCUR DUE TO THIS I WANT THIS COMPLAINT ON RECORD.
