WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH THERE WAS A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING COLUMN. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED IT WAS RELATED TO RECALL 03V460000 CONCERNING THE LOWER CONTROL ARM LOWER BALL JOINT FAILURE. *AK *SC *JB
PARKING BRAKE WAS TOO HARD TO SET. ATTEMPTS MADE BY DEALER TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM BUT WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL. *LA CONSUMER BELIEVED THIS WAS SAFETY ISSUE AND THERE SHOULD'VE BEEN A WARNING IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL. *PH
CONSUMER RECEIVED TWO RECALL NOTICES. 1. NHTSA RECALL# 01V373000 CONCERNING AIR BAG FAILURE IN DECEMBER 2003. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER, WHO INFORMED THE CONSUMER THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE DEALER WAS SUPPOSED TO CONTACT THE CONSUMER WHEN THE PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. 2. NHTSA RECALL 03V460000 SUBJECT CONCERNING LOWER CONTROL ARM BALL JOINT FAILURE ON 3/2/2004. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE SAME DEALER, WHO DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS. NO REASON WAS GIVEN AS TO WHY THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. *AK
VEHICLE WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH A NOISE IN THE FRONT END. THE OWNER HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ON 6 OCCASIONS. LATER, THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED FOR BALL JOINT PROBLEMS DUE TO POOR WORKMANSHIP. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
WHILE DRIVING AT 45-50 MPH CONSUMER NOTICED COOLING STEAM COMING FROM THE HOOD. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE GAS STATION. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS AN OVER FLOW OF COOLING WHICH SPILLED INTO THE ENGINE. HOWEVER, PROBLEM STILL OCCURRED. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC, WHO DETERMINED THAT HEAD GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHEN EXITING THE HIGHWAY SPEEDOMETER STOPPED OPERATING AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT SPEED SENSOR WAS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM, AND REPLACED IT. *AK *MR
WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH VEHICLE STALLED. CONSUMER TRIED TO RESTART VEHICLE VEHICLE BUT WAS UNABLE TO DO SO. VEHICLE WAS PUSHED HOME BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. CONSUMER WILL CONTACT DEALER IN THE NEAR FUTURE. *AK
