I HAVE A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY WHICH WAS RECALLED BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2006 DUE TO LOWER BALL JOINTS. ,MY CAR WAS SERVICED BACK IN OCTOBER, AND THERE WAS NO MENTION OF SUCH RECALL AT THE TIME. NOW THAT I RECEIVED THE NOTICE BY MAIL I CALLED TO HAVE IT REPLACED, AND I THEN HAVE TO WAIT 6-8 WEEKS ON A PART THAT WAS A SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD CAUSE A DEATH IN MY FAMILY, THAT PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CORRECTED AT THAT TIME OF SERVICE, ALSO THE HAND BRAKE NEVER WORKED THE WAY IT SHOULD SINCE THE CAR WAS MPURCHASED TOOK VEHICLE ON SEVERAL OCASSIONS TO DEALER, BUT THEY KEPT SAYING THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT, VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE,AND I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE SAYING THAT, JUST HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WAITING ON THEIR VEHICLES WHILE THEY WERE BEING SERVICED. *AK

THE CONTACTS WAS CONCERNED THAT THERE WERE SAFETY RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE, AND TWO IN PARTICULAR ON THIS VEHICLE, AND SHE HAS NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION STATING THAT THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON 03/12/2007 SHE WENT ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THAT THERE WERE TWO SAFETY RECALLS THAT APPLIED TO THIS VEHICLE. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURES TO DATE. I AM WRITING IN RESPONSE TO RECALLS THAT HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR MY TYPE OF VEHICLE (2005 JEEP LIBERTY). I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL ISSUED FOR LOWER BALL JOINTS FOR MY VEHICLE. WHEN I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AT DAIMLER CHRYSLER TO INQUIRE WHY I WAS NOT NOTIFIED, I WAS MADE TO FEEL UNIMPORTANT. I THEN CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER. HE WAS AWARE OF THE RECALL, HOWEVER NEVER NOTIFIED ME THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. I TAKE MY VEHICLE THERE FOR SERVICE EVERY MONTH OR SO SINCE PURCHASING IN JUNE 2005. HE CLAIMED THAT THE PARTS WERE BACK ORDERED AND HE WOULD LET ME KNOW WHEN THEY WOULD BE IN. THAT WAS ON 3-12-07 AND TODAY IS 3-22-07 AND HE HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALL. I AM A NEW MOTHER OF A BABY BOY (3 MONTHS) AND IT DOES NOT MAKE ME OR MY HUSBAND HAPPY THAT WE ARE RIDING IN A VEHICLE WITH A DEFECT. I AM BEING TO THINK THAT THE JEEP LIBERTY IS A "LEMON". AFTER CALLING AND COMPLAINING, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE POSTMARKED 3-16-07. WHAT ACTIONS CAN I TAKE FROM THIS POINT? I AM VERY UNHAPPY. I HAVE MAILED A LETTER OF COMPLAINT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND DAIMLER CHRYSLER. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO PROCEED FROM THIS POINT. I AM AWAITING YOUR RESPONSE. THE DEALER HAS ADVISED HIM THAT THEY WILL NOT HAVE THE LOWER BALL JOINT PART FOR APPROXIMATELY 6 WEEKS. THE CONTACTWAS CONCERNED FOR HIS SAFETY AS HEWAS TRAVELING IN THE VEHICLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 20,500. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE AT THIS TIME. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. ON MARCH 8, 2007, THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE TO HAVE THE SUSPENSION FRONT:LOWER BALL JOINTS REPLACED ON HIS VEHICLE. HE HAS CALLED THE DEALER FOR THE REPAIR AND THEY INFORMED HIM THAT THEY WERE ONLY GETTING THREE PARTS PER WEEK. THE CONTACT WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. HE CALLED THE DEALER SEVERAL WEEKS AGO AND THEY STATED THAT HIS PLACEMENT WAS SEVERAL PAGES BACK AND WOULD CALL HIM WHEN HIS NAME APPEARS. RECENTLY, WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE LOWER BALL JOINTS FAILED AND THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED. THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL WAS PUNCTURED BY THE BALL JOINT. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 49,000. THE DEALER STATED IT WILL TAKE APPROXIMATELY THREE MONTHS FOR THE PART TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT BEGAN TO HEAR A GROWLING NOISE FROM THE TIRE REGION OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER WAS UNSURE IF THE NOISE WAS RELATED TO THE LOWER BALL JOINT. FOR A PROPER DIAGNOSIS THE LOWER BALL JOINTS WOULD NEED TO BE INSPECTED AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. SAFETY RECALL F23 FOR LOWER BALL JOINTS ON A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY; I WENT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALL FIXED. THEY PUT ME ON A LIST. I AM NUMBER 143 I THINK. THE LIST IS SO LONG THE DEALER SAID HE CAN ONLY GET PARTS ONCE A WEEK TO FIX MAYBE 2 CARS. I WAS TOLD MAYBE BY THE END OF THE SUMMER MY NUMBER MIGHT BE UP. THE CONTACTS WAS NOT SATISFIED THAT IT WILL TAKE MORE THAN THREE MONTHS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HE MADE A LEFT TURN , TRIED TO PARK, OR TO TURN THEVEHICLE AROUND HE HEARD A POPPING NOISE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW IF THISWAS RELATED TO THE SAFETY RECALL OR NOT BECAUSE HE I WAS NOT A MECHANIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE A PLANNED TRIP BECAUSE HIS WIFE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY REPAIR THAT NEEDED TO BE CORRECTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WEATHER WAS NOT AN ISSUE AND THAT EACH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED HE WAS ONLY DRIVING 15 MPH. THE CONTACT ALSO WAS CONCERNED THAT HIS VEHICLE ONLY GOT 15 MILES TO THE GALLON OF GASOLINE IN THE CITY. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 31000. *AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED HIS FIRST RECALL NOTICE (NUMBER 06V288000 (SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER BALL JOINT)) IN MARCH OF 2007. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. IN AUGUST OF 2007, HE RECEIVED A SECOND RECALL NOTICE. HE BELIEVES THIS IS A SAFETY RISK BECAUSE HIS LOWER BALL JOINTS HAVE NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 10,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD SUDDENLY ACCELERATE WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED. THE FAILURE WAS LOCATED AT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, WHICH FAILED DUE TO CORROSION. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE A WARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,428.
WHEN I FILL THE GAS TANK, I GET A BACK SPLASH OF GAS ONCE THE TANK IS FULL. CANNOT USE THE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF ON THE GAS PUMP. I HAVE TO ESTIMATE AS CLOSE AS I CAN HOW MUCH GAS I CAN PUT INTO TANK. IF I OVER ESTIMATE, GAS BACK SPLASHES OUT AND SPILLS OUT ONTO PAVEMENT, ONTO ME AND VEHICLE. VERY CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY OF GAS TANK AND THE RISK OF GAS IGNITING. *TR
TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN AT 55 MPH THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL FOR 2-3 SECONDS. THIS FAILURE OCCURRED TWICE. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR LOWER BALL JOINTS, AND WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD BE 3-6 MONTHS BEFORE THE RECALL WORK WAS DONE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LAST 3 TIMES THE FAILURE OCCUR THE ROADS WERE EITHER ICY OR COVERED WITH SNOW. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE COMPUTER CONTROLLED TRANSMISSION, AND ALTHOUGH THERE HAVE BEEN CAMPAIGNS, THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO EXIST. THE CONTACT CONSIDERED REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION. THE FAILURE WAS A SAFETY HAZARD AND A NUISANCE. THERE WERE RELATED FAILURES LISTED ON THE INTERNET. THE CONTACT HAD BEEN WAITING FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS. THE CONTACT HAD STEERING PROBLEMS WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE MODE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 7400. *AK
MY 2005 JEEP LIBERTY 4X4 WAS SERVICED ON JANUARY 11, 2007 AT ITS PLACE OF PURCHASE (BROWN DAUB CHRYSLER IN EASTON, PA). I HAD DESCRIBED TO MY SERVICE TECH THE CAR WAS MAKING A LOUD SCREECHING NOISE WHEN TURNING AND THAT THE CAR HAD PULLED TO THE RIGHT OFF AND ON (EVERY FEW DAYS) WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT HE FOUND A "NORMAL NOISE" RELATED TO AN AIR VALVE IN THE POWER STEERING, AND THERE WERE NO REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE. I WAS OPERATING THE JEEP LIBERTY ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3RD. I HAD THE VEHICLE IN PARK AT A DRIVE-UP ATM. WHEN I SHIFTED THE CAR BACK INTO DRIVE, THE FRONT TIRES GRABBED, THE CAR KICKED FORWARD AND THE STEERING WHEEL PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THE JEEP RODE UP OVER A CONCRETE CURB AND STRUCK A CEMENT POLE, SHATTERING THE PASSENGER'S SIDE FRONT WINDOW, RIPPING OFF THE DOOR HANDLE, CAUSING A DENT AND PAINT DAMAGE TO THE PASSENGER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. BEYOND THIS PROBLEM, THE JEEP HAS BEEN SERVICED FOR A BROAD RANGE OF MECHANICAL PROBLEMS AT LEAST SEVEN OTHER TIMES SINCE THE PURCHASE DATE (OCTOBER 2004). THE FUEL SENDING UNIT HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE, THE VEHICLE HAS HAD TWO RECALLS, AND FOUR MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE THE SENSOR WIRES HAD "RUBBED THROUGH COMPLETELY" ON THE TRANSMISSION. RIGHT NOW, THE VEHICLE IS AT A BODY SHOP FOR REPAIR AND INSPECTION. IT WILL THEN BE RETURNED TO BROWN DAUB FOR A THOROUGH DIAGNOSTIC CHECKUP OF THE POWER STEERING AND/OR STEERING COLUMN. BEYOND THE STEERING ISSUE, THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE CAR HAS 'KICKED FORWARD' - NORMALLY THIS OCCURS AFTER STOPPING ON WET ROADS (AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS) MY MAIN CONCERN, AGAIN, IS THE STEERING ISSUE THAT CONTRIBUTED TO THIS ACCIDENT. I BELIEVE IT NEEDS TO BE FURTHER INVESTIGATED. *JB
I OWN A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY IT HAS 30000 MILES ON IT .. WAS DRIVING ONE DAY AND I HEARD BACK BRAKES SQUEALING ... EVERY TIME I PUT ON BRAKES THE SQUEAL GOT WORSE AD THE BRAKE PEDAL GOT LOWER AND LOWER... CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY ADV ME BRAKES ARE NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AFTER 12000 MILES AND A DIAGNOSTIC WOULD COST $59.99 ... I TOOK THE CAR TO A MIDAS AUTOMOTIVE SHOP AND THEY DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE CALIPER ... IT HAD SEIZED THE LEFT REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS AND A PISTON IN THE CALIPER WAS COMPLETELY LOCKED MAKING THE BRAKE UNABLE TO UNLOCK PROPERLY ANT THAT IS WHERE THE GRINDING NOISE WAS COMING FROM... THE CALIPER WAS DAMAGED AND THE CALIPER AS WELL AS THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED ... (ALL PARTS WERE RECOVERED) THE LEFT REAR WHEEL HAD RUST DAMAGE DUE TO THE FLAKING OF THE BRAKE PARTS ... WHEN THESE THINGS WERE EXPLAINED TO THE DEALER HE ADVISED THAT THE CALIPER WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT I WOULD HAVE TO CALL CHRYLSER TO GET A REFUND... WHEN I CALLED CHRYLSER AND SPOKE W/ KATHY (SENIOR STAFF AGENT) AND STEVEN(FLOOR SUPERVISOR) @ 800-521-9922- THEY REFUSED TO BELIEVE THIS PROBLEM HAPPENED ...SAYING A CHRYSLER DEALER WAS THE ONLY ONES WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM PROPERLY ... THEY WOULD NEED ONE OF THEIR CERTIFIED TECH'S TO WITNESS THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM... I ADVISED THEM I HAVE ALL THE PARTS AND THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING OR ADMIT THERE WAS A PROBLEM...(THEY REFUSED TO GIVE A REFUND BECAUSE THE WORK WAS NOT DONE AT A CHRYSLER DEALER) THEY ALSO ADVISED ME TO CALL THE DEALER BECAUSE THE MISUNDERSTANDING CAME FROM THEM.,.. TL* - THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED BECAUSE THE EGR VALVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE EGR VALVE HAS BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE HESITATED WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE. WHEN MERGING INTO TRAFFIC IT BECAME HAZARDOUS DUE TO THE ERRATIC ACCELERATION. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE PARKED THE CONTACT NOTICED THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW HAD FALLEN INTO THE DOOR PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN INSPECTED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE WINDOW REGULATOR WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER APPROXIMATELY FIVE TIMES FOR REPAIRS TO THE REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW REGULATORS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,587.
SAFETY RECALL F23-LOWER BALL JOINTS. DEALER IS ALLOTTED INSUFFICIENT NUMBER OF PARTS PER WEEK AND CONSUMER IS PUT ON WAITING LIST SINCE JAN. 1ST,2007. BALL JOINT SEPARATION CAN RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING AND COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. THE SAFETY OF NOT ONLY MYSELF BUT MY FAMILY AS WELL INCLUDING SMALL GRANDCHILDREN. DAIMLER/CHRYSLER SHOULD SEND SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF PARTS TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM PROMPTLY. LIVES ARE AT RISK! *TR
WE OWN A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY . IN JAN. 2007 WE RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER W/ NOTIFICATION CODE F23 . WE HAD THE RECALL WORK DONE AT BILL LUKE IN PHX., AZ IN JAN. 2007 . NOW WHILE HERE IN EVANSVILLE , IN. WE HAD OUR JEEP SERVICED ( 11/07 ) AND THE MECHANIC SHOWED US THAT THE 2 FRONT TIRES WERE WORN OUT BADLY ON THE INSIDE OF EACH TIRE. HE TOLD US THAT THE FRONT END COMPONENTS ARE ALL GOOD AND SOUND SO HE SUGGESTED WE HAVE A FRONT END ALIGNMENT DONE. HE ALSO ROTATED THE BAD TIRES TO THE BACK AND BACK TO FRONT. AFTER INVESTIGATING THE RECEIPTS FROM THE PAST RECALL WORK THERE WAS NO FRONT END ALIGNMENT DONE AFTER THE LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE INSTALLED AT BILL LUKE IN PHX,AZ.. WE JUST TOOK IT AS IF THAT WORK WAS DONE AND NEVER QUESTIONED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT A FRONT END ALIGNMENT AND THEY NEVER SAID ANYTHING TO US ABOUT IT. WE HAVE CONTACTED BILL LUKE WITH NO RESOLVE TO THIS SERIOUS PROBLEM THEY CREATED ON OUR JEEP. CALLED 4 DIFFERENT DEALERS IN MY AREA TO SCHEDULE REPAIRS, 6-8 MONTH WAIT AT HAYES CHRYSLER JEEP, 6 MONTH WAIT AT BUFORD MALL OF GA JEEP, ATLANTA JEEP DODGE STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT RECEIVING PARTS TO FIX THE VEHICLES FROM THE COMPANY, PREMIER CHRYSLER JEEP 6 MONTH WAIT. RIDICULOUS WHEN THE LETTER STATES "BALL JOINT SEPARATION CAN RESULT IN A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING". I WAS DRIVING DOWN MY 3/10 MILE PRIVATE ROAD, APPROXIMATELY A 12% GRADE WITH BRAKE PEDAL ENGAGED WHEN SUDDENLY THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED. THE CAR WENT 150' & DOWN A 12' EMBANKMENT HEAD FIRST ONTO A GRAVEL DRIVE AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN. I WAS CONSCIOUS AT ALL TIMES AND CRAWLED OUT THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. I HAD MY VEHICLE IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME MY 2005 JEEP LIBERTY AND WAS INFORMED AT THAT TIME THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. I WAS NOT NOTIFIED PREVIOUS TO THAT. THAT IS NOT MY MAJOR COMPLAINT. MY AREA OF CONCERN IS THAT I HAD TO PUT MY NAME ON A LIST AND WAIT UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I BOUGHT A NEW 2005 JEEP LIBERTY FROM CHRYSLER. IT HAS LESS THAN 30,000 MILES ON IT (WARRANTY IS FOR 36,0000/3YEARS). I HAVE ALWAYS KEPT IT IN GOOD CONDITION, AND HAVE DONE ALL MAINTENANCE (OIL CHANGES, TIRE ROTATION, ETC.) .A FEW OF MY OIL CHANGES WERE DONE AT AN OIL SHOP, EVEN AT THE DEALER. SO, OUT OF THE BLUE (NO WARNING LIGHTS, OR "STRANGE" SOUNDS PREVIOUS TO THIS) AS SOON AS I STARTED IT, I HEARD A FUNNY "CLANKING" SOUND. I GOT IN, FIGURED I''D BE CAUTIOUS, AND TAKE IT AROUND THE BLOCK.WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS, THE "CLANKING" NOISE INCREASED. SO, I PARKED IT AND HAD IT TOWED TO THE ORIGINAL DEALERSHIP. FIRST, THEY LOOKED AT AND SAID THEY WEREN'T SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, BUT WOULD HAVE THE ENGINE TECH. LOOK AT IT. HE FINALLY DID (AFTER 3 DAYS OF HEARING NOTHING) AND SAID THAT I HAD A ''BAD VALVE''. THEN THEY CALLED ME A DAY OR SO LATER AND SAID THAT MY "ENGINE HEAD" WAS BAD AND THAT THE ENTIRE ENGINE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. I ASKED WHAT THE CAUSE OF THIS AND THEY SAID THAT MY OIL WAS SLUDGED UP SO BADLY THAT IT KNOCKED THE ENGINE APART! NOT TO MENTION, WOULDN''T THE FIRST TECH. HAVE NOTICED SOMETHING SO OBVIOUS??? NOW THEY ARE SAYING THEY WANT ME TO PAY THE $6,000 TO REPLACE THE ENGINE EVEN THOUGH IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY! THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL COVER IT, IS IF I BRING ALL OF MY OIL CHANGE RECEIPTS IN. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND LUCKILY AN ACCIDENT WAS AVOIDED. THE SAME PROBLEM FREQUENTLY OCCURS WHILE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AND IS ESPECIALLY CONCERNING WHEN TURNING LEFT AT STOP SIGNS AND STOP LIGHTS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND TRANSMISSION PUMP NEEDED REPLACEMENT, BUT IT WOULD BE OK TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS THAT CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE WITH THE PROBLEMS ITS EXHIBITED COULD POTENTIALLY BE UNSAFE. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON MY 2005 JEEP LIBERTY AROUND THE END OF MARCH STATING THAT THE BALL JOINTS COULD CORRODE AND COME APART WHILE THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN CAUSING A CRASH. MY HUSBAND AND I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM AUTO WORLD IN BIG STONE GAP, VIRGINIA. WE HAVE CALLED THEM SEVERAL TIMES SINCE RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED. HOWEVER THE PROBLEM STILL HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. WE CALLED THEM AGAIN ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND WAS TOLD THAT DAIMERLER CHRYSLER IS NOT SENDING THEM THE PARTS THAT THEY NEED TO FIX THE RECALLED VEHICLES AND THAT THEY ARE ONLY GETTING 1 OR 2 SETS OF BALL JOINTS PER MONTH FROM THEM.
