TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WOULD NOT ROLL DOWN. HE WAS ALSO UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE DOOR. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A COMMON DEFECT IN THE JEEP LIBERTY, AND THE WINDOW FAILURE CAUSED THE DOOR LOCK TO FAIL. THE DEALER CHARGED $360 FOR THE REPAIR. IN DECEMBER OF 2007, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW FAILED AGAIN. IN MARCH OF 2008, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW FAILED. A REPORT WAS FILED WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY RECOMMENDED THAT THE VEHICLE BE RETURNED TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. INSTEAD, THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A GARAGE AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE MOTOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 59,398. AFTER THE CAR DIED 2 TIMES THIS WEEK WHILE DRIVING WE FOUND FUEL TO BE LEAKING FROM THE FUEL FILTER HEAD WHERE THE FUEL HEATER PLUGGED INTO IT. THE FUEL WAS THEN LEAKING DOWN THIS LINE INTO OTHER ELECTRICAL SENSORS / COMPUTERS, CAUSING A FIRE HAZARD.*AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PARK POSITION, IT BEGAN TO ROLL IN REVERSE AND STRUCK A SMALL TREE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE REAR WINDOW WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED AND OTHER DAMAGES ARE PRESENT. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THAT THE FAILURE IS RELATED TO SAFETY RECALL # 05V460000 (POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 10,000.
MY 2005 JEEP LIBERTY WAS INVOLVED IN A ROLLOVER ACCIDENT WITH 4 FATALITIES ON 9 JUNE 07. THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE AT HIGHWAY SPEED ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WITH NO OTHER VEHICLES INVOLVED. THE DRIVER AND ONE PASSENGER SURVIVED THE ACCIDENT WITH MULTIPLE INJURIES. THE FOUR PASSENGERS IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE LIBERTY WERE NOT WEARING SEAT BELTS AND WERE EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE DURING THE ROLLOVER EVENT. THE DRIVER FELT THAT SHE HAD NO CONTROL OF THE STEERING JUST PRIOR TO THE ROLLOVER OF THE VEHICLE. THE INCIDENT IS CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION. *TR THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONSUMER STATED THE WAS A NAIL IN THE TIRE THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED LOW TIRE PRESSURE, CONTRIBUTING TO THE LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHICH MAY HAVE RESULTED IN FAILURE OF THE UPPER BALL JOINTS. A RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON THE LOWER BALL JOINTS IN MAY 2007. UPDATED
SINCE WE BOUGHT THE LIBERTY WE HAVE HAD A TOTAL OF 12 INCIDENTS WHERE THE WINDOWS HAVE FALLEN DOWN AND LEFT THE VEHICLE VULNERABLE TO THE ELEMENTS AND ON TWO OCCASIONS PERSONAL PROPERTY HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE IN SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOTS. CHRYSLER SOLD US AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WHICH WILL COVER THE REPAIRS BUT THERE IS A $100 DEDUCTIBLE EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE GOES IN. JEEP MAKES A JOKE OUT OF IT WHEN THEY SEE ME COME IN BY SAYING "WHAT, ANOTHER WINDOW ?" AND THEN LAUGHING AND SAYING THIS IS GETTING TO BE A ROUTINE, THIS IS TRUE AND I KNOW ALL OF THE PEOPLE THERE BECAUSE I SOLD CHRYSLER/ JEEP / DODGE FOR 5 YEARS SO I JUST LAUGH WITH THEM BUT IT REALLY MAKES ME MAD THAT JEEP WON'T FIX AN ISSUE THAT IS SO OBVIOUS AND SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE PROBLEMS WITH. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE MY WIFE DRIVES THIS CAR TO WORK AND WHEN SHE GOES TO THE CAR AFTER WORK SHE HAS TO CHECK AND SEE IF ANYONE IS INSIDE THE VEHICLE BEFORE SHE GETS IN AND WHEN SHE IS DRIVING THE CAR ON THE FREEWAY IF THE WINDOW FALLS DOWN IT STARTLES HER AND SHE HAS ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT TWICE OVER THE FRONT WINDOWS FALLING. I NOW HAVE TWO WINDOWS BEING HELD UP BY COAT HANGERS STUFFED IN THE WINDOW TRACK SO THE INSIDE DOESN'T GET WET OR THE CAR SIT OUTSIDE WITH WINDOWS WIDE OPEN. SOMEONE NEEDS TO NIP THIS IN THE BUD AND GET THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION TO STEP UP AND FIX THESE VEHICLES BEFORE THEY HURT SOMEONE. *KB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD RUMBLING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. SHE NOTICED THAT THE SIDEWALL OF THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE HAD DISINTEGRATED. THE TIRE WAS A GOODYEAR WRANGLER, SIZE P235/70R16. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED A BURNING SMELL FROM THE LEFT REAR WHEEL AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CALIPER HAD LOCKED UP. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN SO THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CALIPER HAD SEIZED UP AGAIN AND THE ROTORS WAS WORN. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
DIESEL FUEL LEAKED OUT FROM AROUND THE ELECTRICAL PINS OF THE FUEL HEATER. THE FAILURE WAS NOTICED AS WETNESS AROUND THE CONNECTOR DURING A ROUTINE CHANGING OF THE FUEL FILTER. DISCONNECTING THE HEATER CONNECTOR FROM THE FUEL FILTER HEAD ALLOWED SEVERAL DROPS OF FUEL TO ESCAPE. THE FUEL FILTER HEAD WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER UNDER THE VEHICLE WARRANTY AND IS NOT AVAILABLE. *TR
2005 JEEP LIBERTY CRD DIESEL ENGINE STARTED RUNNING SPORADICALLY. SMELL OF BURNING PLASTIC AND DIESEL WAS PRESENT INSIDE VEHICLE. PULLED OVER AND OPENED HOOD, TO FIND BOILING DIESEL STEAM COMING FROM HEATER ELECTRICAL PORT ON FUEL HEAD. PLUG WAS DISCOLORED WITH HEAT. DROVE HOME, ORDERED NEW FUEL HEAD AND REPLACED WITH NEW OEM PART. 2 MONTHS LATER, THE ENGINE STARTED STUMBLING WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND DIED ON HIGHWAY. COASTED TO SIDE OF ROAD, MANAGED TO EVENTUALLY RESTART, AND MADE IT HOME. OPENED HOOD AND FOUND LEAKING FUEL HEAD, FROM HEATER SOCKET, DIESEL FUEL DRAINING FROM PLUG PORT AT RATE OF ABOUT AN OZ PER MINUTE. ELECTRICAL PLUG WAS BURNED UP, PINS ELECTRICAL PIN ON INSIDE OF FUEL HEATER PORT DESTROYED.
I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN MARCH, 2007. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, DAVID O'NEAL IN RALEIGH AND ASKED FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE WORK PERFORMED. I WAS TOLD BY KELLY, "THERE ARE ABOUT 30 AHEAD OF YOU. I'LL PUT YOU ON THE LIST AND WILL CALL YOU." AFTER TWO MONTHS, THERE HAS BEEN NO CALL.
2005 JEEP CRD, FUEL HEATER POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD. DESIGN ALLOWS FUEL FILTER HEAD TO MELT THEN AIR ENTERS THE DIESEL SYSTEM. ENGINE MAY STALL ON HIGHWAY DANGEROUS THING! MINES STALLED OUT AND BEEN TOWED COUPLE TIMES. CHRYSLER HAS BEEN POOR IN FIXING THIS PROBLEM. IF FUEL HEATER WAS TO CATCH FIRE FILTER HEAD AND ALL FUEL COULD BURN TO CRISP IN MINUTES. MAYBE MAKE CHRYLSER OFFER LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THESE RARE DIESELS. I CAN SEE HUGE LAWSUITS TOWARDS CHRYSLER IF SOMEONE WAS TO BE KILLED STALLING AND OR BURNING IN VEHICLE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE'S REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM SPLIT IN HALF. THE STEERING WHEEL SPUN AROUND AND BROKE THE CONTACT'S FINGER. THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE FELL TO THE GROUND AND THE VEHICLE DROVE INTO A DITCH. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN APRIL, BUT DID NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO HAVE IT HONORED. THE DEALER HAS THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINE SIZE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 56,000.
REF- SAFETY RECALL F23 - LOWER BALL JOINTS. I RECEIVED THIS FIRST NOTICE MAY 1 AND CONTACTED YORK JEEP HERE IN PRESCOTT. 4 MONTHS LATER THEY HAVE NOT YET REPAIRED MY VEHICLE. I KEEP GETTING TOLD NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE - THE PARTS ARE ON ORDER. I HAVE CONTACTED THEM MONTHLY AND GET THE SAME RESPONSE. I THINK THIS IS VERY STRANGE. CAN YOU HELP ME GET THIS RESOLVED? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE SUSPENSION FRONT CONTROL ARM: LOWER BALL JOINTS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE EARLIEST APPOINTMENT WOULD BE IN THREE WEEKS. THE TIME FRAME WAS UNACCEPTABLE DUE TO THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 26,200. THE CONTACT HAS NOT EXPERIENCED ANY FAILURES AT THIS TIME. *AK
I PURCHASED THIS LIBERTY RENEGADE IN OCTOBER OF 2006 AND HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH IT SINCE. THE MAIN SYMPTOM IS THAT WHEN IT IS (OR HAS BEEN) RAINING, THERE IS A VERY LOUD HUMMING NOISE THAT COMES FROM THE AREA OF THE WHEELS, ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING ONE DIRECTION OR ANOTHER. I HAD THE RECALL WORK DONE ON THE LOWER BALL JOINT AND ON THE MATERIAL OF THE BRAKES (TWICE) AND THE SAME SYMPTOM IS HAPPENING. THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE WAS BECAUSE I HAVE TO DRIVE OVER SNOW COVERED MOUNTAINS TO GET TO AIR NATIONAL GUARD DUTY, AND I CERTAINLY DO NOT FEEL VERY SAFE. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE THE CAR BACK FOR A 4TH TIME AND THERE ARE ONLY 18.000 MILES ON IT. *JB
COOLING FAN WENT OUT WHICH CAUSED JEEP TO OVERHEAT, CAUSING ENGINE DAMAGE. I HAD TO REPLACE THE SHORT BLOCK, WATER PUMP, ENGINE FAN. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS THE EXACT ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED BUT NOT FOR MY VEHICLE. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO MORE THOROUGHLY FOR MY JEEP'S YEAR AND MANUFACTURE DATE. AS OF JUNE 1, 2007, THE DEALER HAS NOT CALLED. PRESENTLY, NO FAILURES HAVE OCCURRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 10,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
CALLED DEALERSHIP TWICE ABOUT RECALL ON JEEP LIBERTY BALL JOINT PROBLEM. I WASTOLD IT COULD BE SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE I COULD HAVE MY JEEP REPAIRED BECAUSE DAIMLER CHRYSLER WAS SENDING A FEW PARTS AT A TIME. IF THIS WAS SERIOUS THEY COULD CERTAINLY LOOK AT THE SALES OF THE DEALERSHIPS AND DETERMINE AN AVERAGE NUMBER TO SEND TO EACH ONE, EVEN IF IN STAGES. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DRIVE UNTIL THEN? DAIMLER CHRYSLER SAFETY RECALL F23 LOWER BALL JOINTS. RECALL STARTED IN SEPTEMBER 2006, DID NOT RECEIVE MAILED RECALL NOTICE TILL 3/10/07. CALLED DEALER, WHO SAID THAT THE PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER, AND PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ON A WAITING LIST SINCE DECEMBER OF 2006, THAT SEEMS TO BE A FOUR OR FIVE MONTH WAITING LIST FOR A PROBLEM THAT THE RECALL SAYS WILL TAKE ONE HOUR TO FIX.
THERE IS NO PARTS AVAILABILITY FOR SAFETY RECALL F23-LOWER BALL JOINTS. I AM WRITING ON BEHALF OF MY WIFE WHO IS THE ORIGINAL OWNER. I AM VERY CONCERNED WITH THIS SAFETY RECALL. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF FOR APPROXIMATELY 4 MONTHS NOW AND EVERY TIME I DO THE DEALERSHIPS SAY THEY DON'T HAVE ANY PARTS. I DO NOT BLAME THE DEALERSHIPS, I BLAME THE MANUFACTURER BECAUSE I HAVE CONTACTED A NUMBER OF DEALERSHIPS AND IT'S THE SAME STORY EVERYWHERE. I WOULD LIKE SOME PRESSURE TO BE PUT ON DAIMLER-CHRYSLER TO BEGIN TO MASS PRODUCE THESE PARTS AS I AM BECOMING INCREASINGLY WORRIED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY WIFE. IT STATES IN THE RECALL NOTICE "BALL JOINT SEPARATION CAN RESULT IN A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING". SOMETHING NEEDS TO DONE IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE IF SOMETHING SHOULD HAPPEN I WOULD HOLD BOTH THE MANUFACTURER AND THE NHTSA RESPONSIBLE. *JB

2005 JEEP LIBERTY CUSTOMER STATES THAT THEY RECEIVED A LETTER FOR RECALL AND WAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET CAR FIXED**CC THIS CONSUMER STATES WHILE PULLING INTO THE PARKING LOT, THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT SUSPENSION FAILED CAUSING THE TIRE TO BECOME DISCONNECTED. UPDATE * 4/16TR
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SCHEDULE SERVICE ON MY JEEP LIBERY AFTER RECEIVING A RECALL NOTICE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER TWO MONTHS TO GET THE JEEP SERVICE STATION TO RECEIVE THE PART. I WAS TOLD TODAY (3/27) THAT IT MAY BE ANOTHER FIVE MONTHS BEFORE THE PART COMES IN. IN THE MEANTIME, I AM DRIVING AN UNSAFE JEEP LIBERTY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. THE RECALL IS ON: LOWER BALL JOINTS (SAFETY RECALL F23). *JB
I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION CODE F23 FROM DAIMLER CHRYSLER RECALLING MY VEHICLE FOR A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM WITH BALL JOINTS THIS MONTH. I FIRST READ ABOUT THE RECALL IN SEPTEMBER OF 2006, BUT IT TOOK SIX MONTHS FOR THEM TO NOTIFY ME. AFTER RECEIVING THE NOTICE, I CALLED MY JEEP DEALER ON 3/27/07. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE 170 PEOPLE ON THE LIST AHEAD OF ME, AND THAT THE MOST THEY WOULD FIX WAS 10 VEHICLES PER WEEK. NEXT, I CALLED DAIMLER CHRYSLER'S 800 NUMBER THAT WAS LISTED ON THE RECALL NOTICE. AFTER BEING PLACED ON HOLD WHILE THEY WERE TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER DEALER, I WAS CUT OFF. A RECALL THAT WILL TAKE OVER ONE YEAR TO REMEDY IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT THAT KILLS SOMEONE WHILE I AM WAITING! *JB

THERE WAS A RECALL ON BALL JOINTS FOR JEEP LIBERTY....I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ADDY CHRYSLER IN LEXINGTON, SC FOR APPOINTMENT TO FIX THE RECALL, THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE 2-3 MONTHS BECAUSE CHRYLER WOULD ONLY ALLOCATE 3 SETS OF BALL JOINTS AT A TIME TO EACH DEALER. WHAT KIND OF SECUITYWAS THIS. HOW MANY ACCIDENTS HAVE TO HAPPEN BEFORE CHRYSLER WILL AUTHORIZE ENOUGH PARTS FOR THE RECALL. *AK
THIS COMPLAINT WAS ABOUT DAIMLER CHRYSLER'S FAILURE TO CORRECT A RECALL IN A TIMELY MANNER CONCERNING NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER : 06V288000. THIS RECALL STARTED ON 9/11/06. I DID NOT GET A RECALL NOTICE UNTIL OVER 6 MONTHS LATER . ON 3/23/07, I CALLED THE DEALER TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIRS, AND WAS TOLD THE EARLIEST THEY WERE ACCEPTING APPOINTMENTS WAS JUNE, 2007. OTHER LIBERTY VEHICLE'S BALL JOINT FAILURES WAS DUE TO THE VIRGINIA SATE SAFETY INSPECTION . BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM THEY HAD TO TAKE BALL JOINTS FROM OTHER RECALLED CUSTOMERS IN ORDER TO GET THE FAILED LIBERTY VEHICLES BACK ON THE ROAD. SINCE THIS RECALL WAS FOR A POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC FAILURE SOMETHING NEEDED TO BE DONE TO GET THESE PARTS IN SO REPAIRS COULD BE MADE.

THE CONTACT DID NOT KNOW THE WORK PERFORMED FOR THE RECALL. THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE SIREN SOUND WAS NATURAL. MY JEEP DEALER IN MACOMB, IL, CROSS JEEP, WAS UNABLE TO REMEDY SAFETY RECALL F23 - LOWER BALL JOINTS WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. I HAVE WAITED ALMOST 5 MONTHS FOR CROSS JEEP TO REPLACE THE LOWER BALL JOINTS ON MY 2005 JEEP LIBERTY AND HAVE ATTEMPTED NO LESS THAN 4 FOLLOW UPS WITHOUT ANY SUCCESS. I HAVE BEEN PROMISED RETURN PHONE CALLS ABOUT THE STATUS OF MY VEHICLE BEING FIXED, AND I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE ONE OF THESE RETURN PHONE CALLS FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH CAVANAUGH JEEP IN MONMOUTH, IL, AND I ALREADY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT TUESDAY TO HAVE THE RECALL FIXED. *TR

THE HEATER CONNECTOR ON THE FUEL FILTER HOUSING HAS DEVELOPED A SIGNIFICANT FUEL LEAK. THIS ISSUE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STOP RUNNING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I HAD TO CALL FOR A TOW. THE TOW TRUCK GUY HOPPED INTO THE VEHICLE AND TURNED THE KEY TO PUT IN NEUTRAL SO THAT HE COULD LOAD THE VEHICLE. HE LEFT THE KEY ON AND WITHIN A MINUTE SMOKE WAS ROLLING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I THOUGHT THE THING WAS GOING TO CATCH ON FIRE. I HAD NO FIRE EXTINGUISHER (WHY WOULD YOU NEED ONE FOR A NEW VEHICLE?). I JUMPED IN THE VEHICLE, TURNED OFF THE KEY, POPPED THE HOOD, AND PULLED THE HEATER PLUG OFF (WHICH WAS WHERE ALL THE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM). OBVIOUSLY, FUEL LEAKING ON ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS (ESPECIALLY AN ELECTRICAL FUEL HEATER COMPONENT), DOESN'T MAKE FOR A SAFE MIX. THIS ISSUE HAS ALREADY BEEN REPORTED TO THE NHTSA AND HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED ON VARIOUS JEEP FORUMS. THIS ISSUE IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY THE MANUFACTURER. *JB
I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON MY 2005 JEEP LIBERTY REGARDING THE LOWER BALL JOINTS, A CONDITION WHICH, APPARENTLY CAN LEAD TO A CRASH. I RECEIVED THE NOTICE ON 3/10/07, ALTHOUGH THE RECALL WAS APPARENTLY INITIATED IN SEPTEMBER OF LAST YEAR. UPON CONTACTING MY DEALER, I AM TOLD THAT THERE IS A TEN WEEK WAIT FOR THE PROCEDURE. IN OTHER WORDS, IT WILL BE AT LEAST NINE MONTHS FROM THE TIME CHRYSLER KNEW OF THIS POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM TO THE TIME THAT I CAN GET IT FIXED. THIS STRIKES ME AS A "(FAILURE) TO REMEDY THIS DEFECT...WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME", AND I THINK THE COMPANY SHOULD BE SEVERELY SANCTIONED.*JB
AS EXPLAINED BY SERVICE WRITER AT CHRYSLER OF CULPEPER, I CAN NOT GET AN APPOINTMENT FOR A RECALL UNTIL THE LAST WEEK OF MAY OR EARLY JUNE BECAUSE CHRYSLER IS ONLY ALLOWING 2 REPAIRS A WEEK. SINCE I WILL BE TRAVELING ON VACATION BEFORE THEN, THIS DOES MAKE BE FEEL VERY SAFE. IS IT REALLY NECESSARY TO WAIT THIS LONG? *JB
