2007 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT. THROUGHOUT THE THREE YEARS I'VE OWNED THIS VEHICLE I HAVE HAD REPEATED PROBLEMS WITH THE POWER WINDOWS, INCLUDING WINDOWS THAT STOP WORKING OR JUST FALL INTO THE DOOR WITHOUT EVEN USING THE POWER WINDOW SWITCH. I HAVE AN EXTENDED LIFETIME WARRANTY AND HAVE HAD TO PAY $100 DEDUCTIBLE EVERYTIME I'VE TAKEN IT IN FOR THESE REPAIRS. THE CLAIM TO HAVE REPLACED THE FRONT WINDOWS AS THEY NOW HAVE A DIFFERENT "CONNECTOR" FOR THE POWER WINDOW UNIT. THE DRIVERS WINDOW GOES DOWN NORMALLY, BUT IS VERY SLOW TO COME UP AND SOMETIMES STOPS. I HAVE TO MANUALLY 'HELP' IT UP. THE FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW HAS WORKED FINE SINCE THE SAME REPAIR. THE REAR WINDOWS HAVE BOTH BEEN REPAIRED HOWEVER THE DRIVERSIDE PASSENGER WINDOW HAS NOW STARTED TO FALL ON ITS OWN. IT HAS NOT BEEN USED SINCE IT WAS LAST REPAIRED EXCEPT THE DAY OF THE REPAIR WHEN I CHECKED TO MAKE SURE IT WAS GOOD TO GO. I'VE LEARNED THAT THE PARTS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED ARE PLASTIC AND BREAK DOWN REGULARLY AND NEED TO BE REPLACED WITH METAL ONES. THESE PLASTIC PARTS ARE EASILY BROKEN AND THUS MAKE IT EASY TO BREAK INTO THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE USE OF A STEEL HOOK AND PRESSURE. JEEP NEEDS TO SERIOUSLY ADDRESS THIS. OF ALL THE VEHICLES I HAVE OWNED THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS HAD A WINDOW ISSUE AND IT KEEPS HAPPENING! THIS HAS COST ME HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AND THERE IS NO RELIEF IN SIGHT. HELP!!! *TR
WINDOW HAS DROPPED 4 INCHES WILL NOT GO UP HAVE TO PHYSICALLY PUSH UP WITH HANDS AND THE WINDOW IS TAPED TO HOLD IN PLACE. IN MY STATE, A VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS STATE INSPECTION IF THE WINDOWS DO NOT WORK ESPECIALLY THE DRIVERS SIDE WHICH IS WHERE MY PROBLEM IS. CONSIDERED A "SAFETY" ISSUE. *TR
ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL - LOOSE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE, ROUGH IDLE AND SLOW POWER (JERKY STARTS WHEN OCCURS DURING CASUAL DRIVING). THIS HAS OCCURRED WHILE ON THE FREEWAY AND CAUSAL DRIVING ON THE CITY STREETS. WHEN THIS OCCURS ON THE FREEWAY, RPM'S GO ABOVE 3000 WHEN ONLY GOING 60...CAR SPUTTERS AND FEELS LIKE IT COULD JUST STOP, ENGINE RUNS HIGH AND IF YOU ACCELERATE, IT IS SLOW TO CATCH AND STARTS JERKING. THIS HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES EVEN AFTER BEING SEEN BY THE DEALER 6 TIMES AND SUPPOSEDLY "FIXED". I FEAR THAT THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE OF THE JERKY ACCELERATION AND SLOW RESPONSE TO ACCELERATION IT IS POSSIBLE OTHER VEHICLES COULD BE FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE AND REAR END MY VEHICLE. *TR
2007 JEEP LIBERTY. 4TH TIME WINDOW REGULATORS FAILED IN PAST THREE YEARS. ALL WINDOWS ONCE AND SAME WINDOWS TWICE.. ON 10/08/10 WHILE TRAVELING SOUTH ON I 95. WINDOWS WERE IN FULL UPRIGHT POSITION, WHEN OUT NO WHERE, THE FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW DROPPED . TWO MINUTES LATER THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE DROPPED OUT. I HAD TO DRIVE 100 MILES HOME LIKE THAT. . VERY SCARY . DEALER PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT SAID NO RECALL YET.. I GUESS SOMEONE HAS TO DIE AND SUE THEM BEFORE THEY WILL RECALL. SOOOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE SAME COMPLAINT. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. WHIEL ATTEMPTING TO ROLL THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW UP, THE CONTACT HEARD A GRINDING NOISE. SECONDS LATER, THE WINDOW FELL INSIDE THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE WINDOW REGULATOR AND GLASS WERE REPLACED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 39,000.
NORMAL USE OF ELECTRIC WINDOWS. WE HAVE HAD OUR WINDOWS REPAIRED 4 TIMES UNDER WARRANTY. THE REGULATOR BREAKS AND THE WINDOW FALLS. LUCKY MINE HAS NEVER BROKEN. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW AND NOW HAVE 44,000 MILES. STILL LIKE NEW EXCEPT THE WINDOWS. CHRYSLER HAS DON NOTHING TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE THEY PUT A NEW ONE IN AGAIN AND AGAIN. THEN YOUR OUT OF WARRANTY AND GUESS WHAT THEY WILL CONTINUE TO SERVICE YOU FOR AROUND $300.00 PER EVENT AND SO FAR IN 3 AND 1/2 YEARS 4 TIMES. WOW! 2007 JEEP LIBERTY - EVERY TIME I FILL UP WITH GAS ONCE THE TANK IS FULL, THE PUMP WILL AUTO SHUT-OFF AND THE JEEP WILL BACKFLOW 2-3 CUPS OF GAS BACK OUT. THIS HAS GOT TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
07 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT WITH 35K MILES ON IT, REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW FAILS TO WORK, CALLED CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN MY AREA(HEATH, OH), VEHICLE OUT OF WARRANTY, THEY WANT $450 TO REPLACE THE MOTOR, REGULATOR AND GLASS WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE . MY 2007 JEEP LIBERTY HAS YET AGAIN HAD ANOTHER WINDOW BREAK DUE TO THEIR FAULTY BRACKETS INSTALLED BY JEEP. THIS IS THE SECOND WINDOW OF MINE TO GO OUT IN LESS THAN A YEAR. AT FIRST THE WINDOW WAS HAVING TROUBLE GO UP BY ITSELF AND THEN YESTERDAY IT MADE A POPPING NOISE AND THE GLASS FELL DOWN COMPLETELY AND WILL NOT COME BACK UP. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY WITH JUST OVER 31,000 MILES THAT HAS ENCOUNTERED 5 WINDOW REGULATOR FAILURES. FOUR OF THE 5 WERE COVERED BY THE FACTORY WARRANTY. SINCE I AM NO LONGER IN WARRANTY AS OF JUNE 2010, TODAY'S PASSENGER SIDE REAR WINDOW FAILURE WILL NOT BE COVERED BY WARRANTY. THE OTHER FAILURES INCLUDE: 05/16/08 DRIVER'S WINDOW, 08/03/09 DRIVER'S REAR WINDOW, 08/06/09 PASSENGER REAR WINDOW AND 06/19/10 DRIVER'S REAR WINDOW. AS YOU CAN SEE 2 OF THE SAME WINDOW REGULATORS HAVE FAILED TWICE. LIVING IN ARIZONA, HAVING A WINDOW THAT WILL NOT STAY UP IN 105+ TEMPS IS NOT TOLERABLE. TAPING THE WINDOW ONLY OFFERS TEMPORARY RELIEF DUE TO GRAVITY. ALSO, WORKING FULL TIME AND HAVING TO TAKE MY VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIRS IS ALWAYS CHALLENGING AND INCONVENIENT. I AM WONDERING WHY THIS IS NOT A CHRYSLER RECALL? *TR
ON MY 2007 JEEP LIBERTY, THE LEFT POWER WINDOW DID NOT WORK. IT WAS REPAIRED AND THE SERVICE ORGANIZATION SAID THEY REPLACED PARTS ON THE RIGHT WINDOW. DURING OUR DRIVE IN MEXICO, THE RIGHT WINDOW FAILED. I HAVE HAD TO PROP IT OPEN WITH A WOOD BLOCK UNTIL I CAN GET AN AUTHORIZED REPAIR. I WILL NOT BE IN THE STATES TILL MAY. *TR
POWER WINDOWS WILL START TO HAVE MORE DIFFICULTY WORKING. THEN, WHEN TRYING TO USE THE WINDOWS THEY WILL MAKE A LOUD NOISE AND THE WINDOW WILL CEASE TO WORK. THE WINDOW MAY EVEN FALL INTO THE DOOR AND OUT OF REACH. THE REGULATOR AND POSSIBLY EVEN THE WINDOW GLASS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO 2 OF MY WINDOWS IN LESS THAN A YEAR. IT IS FAULTY AND DANGEROUS. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. *TR
JEEP LIBERTY WINDOW REGULATOR FAIL. THIS IS A REPEAT OCCURRENCE, ALL 4 WINDOWS WERE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AT 29,000 MILES AFTER 26 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP UNDER TSB 2300809 AT A COST TO CHRYSLER OF $1,332.40. NOW THE LATEST WINDOW FAIL HAPPENED DURING NON-USE, WHILE I WAS INSIDE MY WORK BUILDING. THIS WINDOW IS BARELY USED; I HARDLY CARRY PASSENGERS. IT HAS BEEN 23,000 MILES AND 17 MONTHS SINCE THE ENTIRELY NEW UNIT WAS PUT IN. * * I CAME OUT OF WORK, AND THE WINDOW HAD SLID DOWN INTO THE DOOR SOMETIME DURING THE DAY. ADDITIONALLY, I WAS UNABLE TO CLOSE THE DOOR AFTER I USED A PLASTIC BAG TO COVER THE WINDOW DUE TO THE WIRE CABLE BLOCKING THE DOOR LATCH * * THIS CAN LEAD TO INCREASED THEFT, DAMAGE FROM THE WEATHER, AS WELL AS TO PASSENGERS (SPECIFICALLY A BABY) IN THE BACKSEAT DURING FAIL. NO OPERATING WINDOWS AND DOORS STUCK OPEN ARE SAFETY CONCERNS. * * THE DEALER IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT, JUST UNDER $400, EVEN AFTER STATING I WOULD CONTACT CHRYSLER, THE BBB AND LOCAL NEWS. THERE ARE COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF THESE CASES ONLINE, HEAVILY TARGETING THE 2007 LIBERTY AS WELL AS SOME EARLIER MODELS. THE LEVEL OF WIDESPREAD FAILURES AND AMOUNT OF TIME THIS HAS GONE ON WITHOUT A RECALL IS DISTURBING TO SAY THE LEAST. CURRENTLY THERE IS ALSO TSB 2303807 ABOUT THE ISSUE. I LOVE JEEPS, AND WE HAVE BOUGHT A CHEROKEE, WRANGLER, AND 2 LIBERTY'S. THIS LACK OF DOING THE RIGHT THING AND REPEATED FAILURE MAKES US LOOK TO A MORE RELIABLE (FOREIGN MADE) VEHICLE AS THE NEXT CHOICE. * * *IN SUMMARY, THE WINDOW REGULATOR STARTS TO FAIL, WINDOWS START TO SLIDE OFF TRACK OR JUST DROP INTO THE DOOR. WINDOWS ARE LEFT OPEN AND DOORS CANNOT BE SHUT. THIS DEMANDS A RECALL. *TR
2007 JEEP LIBERTY LIMITED 4X4 - FAILURE OF WINDOW REGULATORS I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE FAILURES OF THE WINDOW REGULATORS THAT ARE INTERNAL TO THE DOORS AND REGULATE THE OPERATION OF THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS UP OR DOWN. UPON FAILURE, THE WINDOWS FALL INTO THE DOOR FRAME. RIGHT REAR WINDOW WAS REPAIRED IN OCT 2008. LEFT REAR WINDOW WAS REPLACED IN DEC 2008. BOTH FRONT WINDOWS WERE REPAIRED IN MAY 2010. RIGHT REAR WINDOW FAILED AGAIN IN SEP 2010. THIS MAY HAPPEN AT ANYTIME AND MAY NOT OCCUR DURING NORMAL OPERATION OF THE WINDOWS. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THIS DESIGN FLAW IN THEIR VEHICLES (2002 - 2007) BUT HAS REFUSED TO DO A RECALL (THEY CURRENTLY HAVE TSB #2303807) ISSUED. THE POWER WINDOWS ON ALL FOUR DOORS HAVE FAILED AT DIFFERENT TIMES ON MY 2007 JEEP LIBERTY SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN JULY 2007. THE WINDOW REGULATOR IS THE PART THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED EACH TIME. THE POWER WINDOW ON THE RIGHT REAR DOOR WAS REPAIRED ON MARCH 20, 2009. THE WINDOW FAILED WORKING AGAIN ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2010. THE WINDOW REGULATOR WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED AGAIN. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT INVESTIGATED A FIRE INVOLVING A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS HIT FROM THE REAR AND THE FUEL IGNITED. THE VEHICLE HAD STOPPED SUDDENLY IN FRONT OF ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS TRAVELING 15 MPH. THE BULLET VEHICLE NOSED UNDER THE REAR OF THE TARGET VEHCLE. THE FIRE DESTROYED BOTH VEHICLES AND DAMAGED ANOTHER VEHICLE PARKED NEARBY. THE LIBERTY'S FUEL TANK WAS DESTROYED BY THE FIRE LEAVING THE TANK SUPPORT STRAPS HANGING. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 47000. INVESTIGATION INDICATED THE CAUSE OF THE CRASH WAS ROAD RAGE. UPDATED 12/10/10 *BF SEE ALSO 10366653. *DSY
ON 9-21-2010 THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A VEHICLE ACCIDENT INVOLVING A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. THE JEEP WAS HIT FROM BEHIND BY ANOTHER PASSENGER VEHICLE AND THE FUEL TANK IGNITED. JEEP WAS A TOTAL LOSS AFTER FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. *TR SEE ALSO 10357195. *DSY ..UPDATED 04/18/13 *BF
WHILE CLOSING OUR JEEP LIBERTY THIS MORNING MY WIFE PUSHED THE BUTTON FOR THE LEFT REAR WINDOW AND IT MADE A GRINDING NOISE AND THE WINDOW WAS NOT MOVING. WHEN WE GOT HOME I WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE WINDOW TO THE CLOSED POSITION WITH MY HANDS. THE WINDOW IS NOT BEING HELD IN PLACE OR MOVED BY THE REGULATOR. *TR
I HAD MY FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW REPLACED AND MY BACK DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW ON MY 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. NOW MY BACK DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW IS FALLING DOWN AGAIN AND SINCE IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE IT WAS REPLACED, I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE $100 DEDUCTIBLE TO HAVE IT FIXED AGAIN, IF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL EVEN COVER IT. *TR

2007 JEEP LIBERTY DRIVERS REAR WINDOW FELL DOWN WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE. NO ONE IN REAR SET AT TIME BUT KIDS RIDE THERE OFTEN. *TR
RIGHT PASSENGER WINDOW MADE A HORRIBLE NOISE, AND STARTED TO SLIDE INTO THE DOOR. JEEP DEALER FIXED BUT CHARGED ME $100 FOR MY EXTENDED WARRANTY DEDUCTIBLE. A FEW WEEKS LATER THE DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER WINDOW DID THE SAME THING. I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT IN FOR REPAIR YET. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH THE FRONT AND REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOWS FELL DOWN INTO THEIR DOOR PANELS. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO HAVE THE FAILURE DIAGNOSED AND HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 80,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MILES AN HOUR IN MY 2007 JEEP LIBERTY WITH MY THREE YEAR OLD IN THE BACK SEAT IN A CHILD SAFETY SEAT WHEN THE WINDOW IN THE DOOR NEXT TO HIM FELL DOWN AS I WAS PASSING A SEMI TRUCK AND TRAILER. A ROCK OR ANY DEBRIS COULD HAVE KICKED UP FROM THE TRUCK AND INJURED MY CHILD. CHRYSLER JEEP WILL NOT PAY FOR THIS DEFECT BECAUSE ITS NOT COVERED UNDER THEIR WARRANTY. THE ESTIMATED COST IS BETWEEN 400-600 DOLLARS. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 15,000 MILES.
I HAVE JEEP LIBERTY 2007. THE BACK WINDOW OF MY CAR STOPPED WORKING (MAKES WEIRD SOUND WHILE TRYING TO MOVE UP). REPLACED THE WINDOWS ON MY 2007 JEEP LIBERTY 6 TIMES. THEY BREAK WITHOUT EVEN BEING USED. I WENT OUT TO MY CAR ONE MORNING AND ONE WAS COMPLETELY DOWN AND WOULD NOT ROLL UP. THE WINDOWS HAVE BEEN REPLACED/REPAIRED EACH TIME. NEVER A WARNING - JUST A POP AND THE WINDOW COMES DOWN. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY AND I WAS DRIVING ALONG IN THE RAIN WITH MY 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND MY 6 WEEK OLD SON IN THE BACK. THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW CAME CRASHING DOWN OUT OF NOWHERE SOAKING MY SON AND DAUGHTER WITH THE RAIN THAT WAS FALLING. I WENT ON LINE AND IT TURNS OUT THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM SINCE 2002 BUT JEEP HAS DONE NOTHING TO FIX IT BUT CHARGE 100 DOLLARS EVEN THOUGH ITS UNDER WARRANTY. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO AND ITS SAD THAT JEEP DOESN'T CARE ABOUT IT. I NOW HAVE 2 SICK CHILDREN AND I AM GOING BACK TO AFGHANISTAN IN 4 DAYS. PLEASE HELP! *TR

2007 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT - FAILURE OF WINDOW REGULATORS I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE FAILURES OF THE WINDOW REGULATORS THAT ARE INTERNAL TO THE DOORS AND REGULATE THE OPERATION OF THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS UP OR DOWN. UPON FAILURE, THE WINDOWS FALL INTO THE DOOR FRAME (EITHER PARTLY OR WHOLLY). THIS MAY HAPPEN AT ANY TIME AND MAY NOT OCCUR DURING NORMAL OPERATION OF THE WINDOWS. CONSIDERING THE SPORADIC OCCURRENCE OF THIS FAULT, IT CAN POSSIBLY INJURE A PASSENGER AND/OR DRIVER AND MAY DISTRACT THE DRIVER DURING OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE, THUS BEING A SAFETY HAZARD. BEING FIXED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT REALLY IS A SAFETY ISSUE COMMON ON LIBERTY'S. SHOULD BE JEEP RECALL TO REPAIR ALL WINDOWS BEFORE IT HAPPENS AGAIN. *TR
2007 JEEP LIBERTY (WINDOWS SLIDE DOWN ABOUT EVERY THREE MONTHS) NEAR ACCIDENT WAS RAINING WHEN WINDOW BEGAN TO SLIDE TOWN RAN OFF ROAD WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PUSH WINDOW UP. I HAVE CHECKED INTERNET THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE. I KNOW IT HAS TO BE A SAFETY CONCERN BEFORE RECALL. WHAT ABOUT CHIDREN IN THE BACK SEAT ROCKS OR DEBRIS OF ANY KIND COULD CAUSE EYE INJURY. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF PROBLEM BUT REFUSE TO RECALL. *TR
REAR WINDOW OF JEEP 2007 LIBERTY COMES DOWN ON ITS OWN (EVERY TIME WE DRIVE THE CAR AND EVEN WHEN IT IS IN PARK). THE PROBLEM WAS REPAIRED AT A JEEP DEALER ONCE WHILE UNDER 3 YEAR/36,000 MILE WARRANTY. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED AGAIN (SAME WINDOW) ONLY 1.5 YEARS AFTER THE FIX, YET THE DEALER SAYS IT'S NO LONGER UNDERWARRANTY. CLEARLY THIS IS A DEFECT WITH THE CAR AND THE ORIGINAL FIX SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE PERMANENT THAN 1.5 YEARS. IT HAPPENED DURING A HEAVY DOWNPOUR/RAIN STORM AND RESULTED DAMAGE TO ITEMS IN THE BACK SEAT. WE HAVE AN 11 MONTH OLD IN A CAR SEAT IN THE BACK AND CAN NO LONGER RIDE IN INCLEMENT WEATHER WITH THE BABY IN THE BACKSEAT UNTIL WE GET IT FIXED AGAIN. MY FEAR IS THIS WILL SIMPLY CONTINUE TO HAPPEN SINCE WE ALREADY TRIED TO HAVE THIS FIXED BY A 5 STAR CHRYSLER/JEEP DEALER. *TR

THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, SKID, TRACTION CONTROL AND ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY AND THE CRUISE CONTROL BECAME INACTIVE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT THE UPPER BALL JOINT WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 06V493000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC: ANTI-LOCK: CONTROL UNIT/MODULE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 42,600.
THE WINDOW ON MY 07 JEEP LIBERTY STARTED MAKING NOISES WHEN IT WAS ROLLING DOWN AND UP, HOWEVER IT ONLY DID THAT ONCE AND IT STOPPED GOING DOWN OR UP ALTOGETHER. THE WINDOW FALLS DOWN ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING, SHUTTING THE DOOR, OR EVEN JUST SITTING THERE. IT FALLS DOWN ABOUT AN INCH AT FIRST AND GRADUALLY GOES DOWN ABOUT ANOTHER INCH. I CONTINUOUSLY HAVE TO PULL THE WINDOW UP MYSELF, JUST TO KEEP IT UP FOR THE SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. THE DEALERSHIP STATED IT WAS A REGULATOR, BUT I HAD TO GET A WHOLE NEW "UPGRADE" FOR MY YEAR OF THE CAR. I BELIEVE THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL OF THESE PARTS, WHEN IT IS HAPPENING TO EVERYONE. I HAVE SEEN SO MANY COMMENTS AND COMPLAINTS. I PERSONALLY CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY FOR IT AND DO NOT WANT TO EXPERIENCE THIS IN THE FUTURE EITHER. *TR

I OWN A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY 4-DOOR BOUGHT NEW IN CENTRAL FLORIDA. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND PASSENGER WINDOWS FAIL OPEN WITH NO WARNING OF IMPENDING FAILURE. WINDOWS HAVE FAILED IN A RAIN STORM ON DRIVER'S SIDE AND WAS DIFFICULT TO SEE TO DRIVE SAFELY. FAILURE OF THE BACK SIDE WINDOWS CAUSES A NEAR DEAFENING FLUTTER OF SOUND DUE TO THE WIND PASSING BY/THROUGH THE OPENING OF THE WINDOW. IN EACH INSTANCE, THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED A DEFECTIVE WINDOW REGULATOR AND IN SOME INSTANCES THE GLASS WINDOW AS WELL. I'M ON MY SECOND OR THIRD REPLACEMENT OF EVERY SIDE WINDOW (4 EACH TOTAL). IF I DIDN'T HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE, OWNING THIS VEHICLE WOULD BE COST PROHIBITIVE. BUT IF ANYTHING, THIS PROBLEM IS ABSOLUTELY ANNOYING AND AGGRAVATING. I HAVE HEARD THERE ARE A MYRIAD OF COMPLAINTS BY CUSTOMERS BUT I NEVER SEE A PERMANENT FIX BEING INTRODUCED BY CHRYSLER-JEEP OR EVEN A RECALL TO FIX A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE DESIGN. *TR

PASSENGER REAR LEFT WINDOW FELL INTO DOOR. FOR SAFETY REASONS THE WINDOW DOES NOT FULLY OPEN. WHEN WINDOW FALLS INTO THE DOOR AN UNSAFE CONDITION EXISTS. AFTER A BRIEF WEB SEARCH IT APPEARS THAT THIS ISSUES HAS BEEN VERIFIED BY MANY JEEP LIBERTY OWNERS AND IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT 70 MPH WHEN THE REAR DRIVER SIDE AUTOMATIC WIDOW WAS ENGAGED. THE WINDOW BECAME STUCK IN THE MIDWAY OPEN POSITION. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY FOR REPAIRS. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A DESIGN FLAW AND THE WINDOW WAS REPLACED. THE APPROPRIATE CURRENT MILEAGE 96,800 AND THE APPROPRIATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
