07 JEEP WRANGLER: FUEL SPILLS OUT OF THE FILLER NECK WHEN THE TANK IS FILLED. THE FUEL SPITS BACK OUT BEFORE THE FUEL PUMP AUTO SHUT-OFF CLICKS IN. *TR
BOUGHT THIS JEEP USED IN FEB 2011. IT SPILLS FUEL EVERYWHERE DURING FILL UP AT GAS PUMP WHEN NOZZLE CUTS OFF. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME AND AT MULTIPLE STATIONS. I HAVE TO USUALLY ONLY PUT 15-18 GALLONS IN TO PREVENT IT FROM SPILLING OVER. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS TIMES IT HAS SPIT AND SPILLED ON MYSELF OR MY WIFE DURING FUELING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE VIOLENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY BRAKING AND VIBRATED WHEN THE BRAKES WERE DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE DEALER STATED THAT THE STEERING STABILIZER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY 1 YEAR LATER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
WHEN REFUELING, A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF GASOLINE SPILLED OUT AFTER THE PUMP AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF. WITHIN A SECOND OR 2 OF THE PUMP SHUTTING OFF GAS THEN FLOWED OUT OF THE TANK FILLER TUBE. IT SPLASHED ALL OVER MY PANTS AND SHOES ALONG WITH THE CAR ITSELF.

2007 JEEP WRANGLER JK - GAS TANK OVERFLOWS WHEN FILLING UP. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE JEEPS CREATING A SAFETY HAZARD WHEN THE GAS SPILLS OUT ON THE PERSON FILLING THE TANK, ON THE SIDE OF THE JEEP AND ON THE GROUND. IT HAPPENS EACH AND EVERY TIME YOU FILL UP. *TR
EVERYTIME I FILL UP MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER AT THE GAS STATION, IT OVERFLOWS ABOUT 1/2 GALLON OF FUEL DOWN THE SIDE OF MY JEEP AND ONTO THE GROUND. I HAVE TRIED USING DIFFERENT PUMP STATIONS, BUT NOTHING STOPS IT FROM OVERFLOWING. *TR
2007 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED FUEL SPILLS OUT WHEN REFUELING. EVERY TIME I REFUEL, NO MATTER IF I USE THE AUTO PUMP OR NOT, IT WILL RUN OUT ON THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. *TR
THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER CONSTANTLY LIGHTS UP AND CHIMES ABOUT EVERY 20-30 SECONDS. THERE WASN'T AN INCIDENT THAT CAUSED THIS TO START HAPPENING, IT JUST STARTED DOING IT ONE DAY. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS A FAULTY CLOCKSPRING IN THE STEERING COLUMN WHICH, I ALSO BELIEVE WILL PREVENT THE DRIVER AIRBAG FROM DEPLOYING IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING, AS OF YET, TO GET THIS REPAIRED. I HAVE BEEN HOPING THERE WOULD BE A RECALL TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM SEEING THAT MANY JEEP WRANGLER OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
WHILE FUELING UP THE 2007 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA UNLIMITED THE FUEL SPILLS OUT OF THE FILL PORT CAUSING GAS TO SPILL OVER THE VEHICLE AND THE GROUND. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. *TR
WHEN REFUELING THE VEHICLE GAS SPLASHES OUT OF THE TANK ONTO MYSELF, SIDE OF VEHICLE, AND GROUND. INCIDENT OCCURS WHEN THE TANK IS NEARLY FULL DURING THE REFUELING PROCESS.
VEHICLE STALLS OUT IN TRAFFIC, DESPITE BATTERY BEING FULLY CHARGED. WITH A RESTART, THE BATTERY SYMBOL REMAINS ILLUMINATED, AND EVENTUALLY THE VEHICLE WILL STALL OUT AGAIN. OCCURRED IN HEAVY TRAFFIC CREATING TRAFFIC HAZARD. REMAINS A RECURRING PROBLEM THAT IS ONLY REMEDIED BY COMPLETELY SHUTTING OFF ENGINE AND WAITING SEVERAL MINUTES, THEN RESTARTING IT AND CHECKING TO CONFIRM THAT THE BATTERY SYMBOL IS NO LONGER ILLUMINATED. SOMETIMES A BATTERY JUMP-START IS REQUIRED. ONE DANGEROUS ALTERNATIVE IS TO TURN OFF THE IGNITION WHILE VEHICLE IS ROLLING, RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, BUT OBVIOUS HAZARDS OF LOCKED STEERING WHEEL, LOSS OF CONTROL AND POSSIBLE CRASHES WOULD RESULT.
2007 JEEP WRANGLER - EVERY TIME I FILL THE GAS TANK, SINCE ROUGHLY 10,000 MILES (NOW AT 63,000) THE AUTO SHUT OFF FEATURE OF GAS PUMPS WILL NOT SHUT OFF IN TIME. THIS CAUSES ROUGHLY 1/4 GALLON OF FUEL TO SPILL DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS BEEN A RECURRING SITUATION FOR A COUPLE YEARS. I CANNOT RELY ON THE AUTO-SHUT OFF OF THE PUMP WITH THIS VEHICLE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR MANY JEEP WRANGLER OWNERS, SINCE THE NEW MODEL FROM 2007. MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO FIX UNDER WARRANTY WERE DENIED BY DEALERSHIPS. I AM FINALLY SCHEDULED TO REPLACE THE GAS TANK (A KNOWN FIX FOR THE ISSUE); BUT WILL BE PAYING FOR IT OUT OF POCKET, AS THE WARRANTY HAS SINCE EXPIRED. *TR
WHEN FILLING WITH GAS SPEWS OUT. ON JANUARY 10TH FLEW OUT SO BAD, MY WINTER COAT, PANTS, GLOVES AND SHOES WERE RUINED. BEEN ONGOING PROBLEM. HAS REPAIR ORDERS FROM DEALERSHIP. IN ADDITION, THE HARD TOP HAS LEAKED SINCE DAY ONE AND NEVER BEEN REPAIRED. I AM NOT DRIVING VEHICLE SINCE THE AWFUL SPILLAGE ON JANUARY 10TH. I CANNOT AFFORD TO KEEP RUINING CLOTHES. IN ADDITION, CONCERNED IT CAN CAUSE FURTHER PROBLEM (IE, PERHAPS FIRE). ALWAYS IN ATTENDANCE WHILE FILLING. SPOKEN WITH SEVERAL OTHER JEEP OWNERS EXPERIENCING SAME PROBLEM. WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR CHRYSLER TO CORRECT THIS DEFAULT, A DEATH, OR SEVERE INJURY. IF NOT WINTER TIME I FEEL I WOULD HAVE BEEN BURNED ON MY SKIN BY THE GASOLINE.

2007 JEEP WRANGLER EVERY TIME VEHICLE HITS CERTAIN BUMPS VEHICLE WOBBLES VIOLENTLY OUT CONTROL. OCCURS AT LEAST DAILY. JEEP WAS IN MANY SHOPS AND 2 DIFFERENT DEALERS AND PROBLEMS CONTINUES. ALMOST ALL FRONT END PARTS WERE REPLACED TO NO AVAIL. THIS PROBLEMS JUST STARTED OUT OF BLUE WITH NO WARNING BUT IS DEADLY! *LN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER 4X4. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 60 MPH WHEN THE FRONT WHEELS BEGAN TO SHAKE UNCONTROLLABLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WOULD CEASE ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS DECELERATED TO 40 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL MECHANIC WHO ADJUSTED THE TIRE PRESSURE AND PERFORMED AN ALIGNMENT BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SECOND DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE FAILURE WAS ATTRIBUTED TO A COMBINATION OF A DEFECT IN THE STEERING DAMPENER, TIRE WEAR AND AN ALIGNMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND A COMPLAINT WAS FILED UT NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,106.
WHILE FUELING, THE GAS TANK AND VENT PIPE CAUSE BACK PRESSURE RESULTING IN FUEL SPRAY AND OVERFLOW. THE OVERFLOW CAN COVER THE PERSON FILLING IN FUEL AND SPILL UP TO A GALLON OF GASOLINE ON THE VEHICLE AND GROUND. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED SAHARA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN REFUELING THE VEHICLE, THE FUEL WOULD OVERFLOW ONCE THE FUELING HAS STOPPED AND THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIANS STATED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THEY WOULD COVER FIFTY PERCENT OF THE REPAIR COSTS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000. FILLED UP MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA UNLIMITED AND THE GAS OVERFLOWED AND SPRAYED IN MY FACE AND EYES. I HAD TO RUSH INTO THE BATHROOM AND FLUSH MY EYES AND FACE WITH WATER. I DOES THIS EVERYTIME YOU FILL UP, THIS TIME IT JUST GOT ME IN THE FACE. NEEDS TO RECALLED AND FIXED. MY DEALER WON'T FIX IT UNDER WARRANTY SINCE ITS BEEN OVER 3 YEARS. ITS GONNA KILL SOMEONE, WHAT IF IT CAUGHT FIRE? NOT TO MENTION THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF PUTTING THAT MUCH GAS ON THE GROUND. *TR

THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 32,000.

THE CONTACT HAD TO CONTINUOUSLY APPLY THE BRAKES IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, WHEN REFUELING THE VEHICLE, FUEL WOULD SPILL BACK OUT FROM THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACT BUT DENIED ASSISTANCE WITH REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 59,000. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BURN OIL EXCESSIVELY. A LOCAL MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE PISTONS AND RINGS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER TOOK A COMPLAINT BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 77,000. 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. GAS OVERFLOWS WHEN REFUELING. IT HAPPENS WHEN YOU JUST LET THE PUMP CLICK OFF WHEN FULL. I HAVE NEVER TRIED TO OVERFILL IT, OR "TOP IT OFF". YOU SIMPLY FILL UNTIL THE PUMP CLICKS, AND THEN A FAIR AMOUNT OF FUEL SEEMS TO BUBBLE BACK OUT. IT RUNS DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND THEN LEAVES A FAIRLY LARGE PUDDLE ON THE GROUND. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY HAZARD. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN FOR ABOUT THE FIRST 2-1/2 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP (23,000 MILES) NOW IT IS JUST ABOUT EVERY FILL UP. *TR

WHEN FILLING THE FUEL TANK WITH FUEL, THE TANK DOES NOT PROPERLY VENT CAUSING FUEL TO SPURT OUT THE FILLER NECK AS IT APPROACHES FULL. THE GAS SPURTS ON THE VEHICLE'S 1/4 PANEL, ON THE PERSON FILLING THE VEHICLE AND ON THE GROUND. THIS HAS HAPPENED NOW DURING THE LAST SEVERAL FILL UPS. YOU MUST ALSO FILL SLOWLY OR THE GAS NOZZLE SHUTS OFF AS IF THE TANK IS FULL. I HAVE AN EXTENSIVE AUTOMOTIVE BACKGROUND AND IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE TANK IS NOT PROPERLY VENTING. THIS OCCURS IN BOATS WHEN PERMANENT MOUNTED FUEL TANK VENT LINES BECOME BLOCKED OR COLLAPSE OVER TIME.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING 70 MPH OR MORE OVER A ROAD BUMP, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE EXTREMELY HARD CAUSING THE CONTACT TO MOMENTARILY LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE STEERING DAMPERS, TIRES AND THE BALL JOINTS BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED IN REGARDS TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT THEY WERE UNAWARE HOW TO REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.

WHEN REFUELING THE GAS WILL SPRAY OUT OF THE PORT WHEN IT IS REACHING FULL BEFORE THE PUMP WILL KICK OFF. I HAVE GOTTEN GAS ON MY SHOES AND PANTS SEVERAL TIMES. IT HAS EVEN SPRAYED OUT SO BAD BEFORE THAT GAS GOT ON ANOTHER PERSON ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PUMP. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FILL UP WITHOUT SPILLING EVERYWHERE.
2007 JEEP WRANGLER. CONSUMER STATES THAT VEHICLE MADE A RATTLING NOISE WHILE ACCELERATING. SHE THOUGHT THAT HER VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE TRANSMISSION RECALL. *KB THE DEALER RECOMMENDED AN ENGINE BREAKDOWN AND INSPECTION. AFTER THE INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE, THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT BASED ON THE INSPECTION REPORT, THE REPAIR OF THE ENGINE WAS DENIED. THE CONSUMER STATED HE WAS ACCUSED OF NEGLIGENCE BY MEANS OF IMPROPER/INSUFFICIENT LUBRICATION WHICH RESULTED IN ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO LACK OF OIL, DESPITE PROVIDING SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE OF PROPER VEHICLE MAINTENANCE. *JB
SEVERE WOBBLE IN FRONT END WHERE CONTROL OF VEHICLE IS HARD TO MAINTAIN. IT BEGAN INTERMITTENTLY AND BRIEFLY AND NOW IS REPETITIVE AND SUSTAINED. MY WRANGLER IS NOW BEING EVALUATED FOR THE FOURTH TIME AND NEEDS A STEERING DAMPENER REPLACED (WHICH WAS THE RECALL) ALONG WITH REPLACING UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS. CHRYSLER REPORTEDLY HAD 4,000 OF THESE VEHICLES RECALLED UNDER SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: CSN-J34 WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THIS VEHICLE AND OTHERS LIKE IT IS GOING TO KILL SOMEONE. THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE VIOLENTLY SHAKES/WOBBLES AT NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THIS WAS A "KNOWN ENGINEERING FLAW".

FUEL OVERFLOW FROM FILLER TUBE ONTO PERSON PUMPING FUEL, VEHICLE AND SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT. *LN
FUEL SPIT BACK ISSUE! I RECENTLY JUST BOUGHT THIS JEEP FROM A LOCAL DEALER THAT FIRST NIGHT WHILE LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP I WENT TO FILL UP MY TANK. THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T FILL UP YOUR TANK IF YOU BUY A USED CAR. WHILE STANDING AND WAITING FOR THE PUMP NOZZLE TO STOP I DID WHAT I USUALLY DO AND WAITED BY THE FUEL NOZZLE. AFTER THE FUEL NOZZLE CLICKED LETTING ME KNOW THAT THE TANK WAS FULL AND UPON TAKING OUT THE FUEL PUMP NOZZLE I NOTICED THAT ABOUT 3/4 OF A QUART OF GAS POURED OUT ALL OVER MY SHOES. AT FIRST I DIDN'T MIND THIS BUT AFTER A FEW TIMES OF REFUELING TO FULL THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME! IT SEEMS AS IF THERE IS PRESSURE IN THE TANK THAT BUILDS UP AND IS NOT RELEASED DURING FILLING. EACH AND EVERY TIME I PUT GAS IN AND PUMP UNTIL FULL ALSO IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE FUEL PUMP IS ON HIGH PRESSURE OR LOW PRESSURE. GAS POURS OUT!
WHEN FUELING UP THE VEHICLE, WHEN THE AUTO SHUT OFF TURNS THE PUMP OFF THE FUEL OVERFLOWS OUT OF THE FUEL PORT. EVEN WHEN SLOW PUMPING IT STILL OVERFLOWS. *TR
1) THIS FAILURE HAPPENS AT THE END OF REFUELING MY GAS TANK. JUST ABOUT THE TIME THE TANK HITS THE FULL POINT. 2) THE FAILURE IS THAT THE GAS SPRAYS OUT OF THE TANK WHEN THE TANK HITS THE FULL MARK. THIS CAUSES THE ENTIRE SIDE OF THE CAR AND BUMPER TO BE COVERED IN GASOLINE AS WELL AS MY HANDS AND CLOTHING 3) SO FAR NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM OTHER THAN JUST NOT FILLING THE TANK TO FULL. *TR
APPROXIMATELY 1/4 TO 1/2 GALLON OF FUEL BACK FLOWS FORCEFULLY OUT OF FILLER NECK IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE RELEASE OF THE HANDLE WHEN THE TANK IS FULL. THIS HAPPENS BOTH WHEN THE HANDLE IS LOCKED DOWN IN FUELING POSITION AND AUTOMATICALLY CLICKS OFF AND WHEN I AM HOLDING THE HANDLE TO FILL THE TANK. AT NO TIME AM I ATTEMPTING TO OVERFILL THE TANK BEYOND THE SAFETY SHUT OFF.
MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER HAS ALL OF A SUDDEN STARTED SPEWING FUEL FROM THE GAS TANK EACH TIME I FILL UP. I DON'T TRY TO TOP OFF THE GAS TANK. BASICALLY, THE PUMP CLICKS, AND THEN WHEN I REMOVE THE NOZZLE FROM THE TANK, FUEL STARTS SPEWING ALL OVER. IT GOT ON MY HANDS AND SHOES, AND ALL OVER THE SIDE OF MY JEEP. THIS NOW SEEMS TO HAPPEN EVERY TIME I FILL UP. *TR
