I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER 4X4 FROM A DEALER. THE PAST HANDFUL OF TIMES WE HAVE FILLED THE VEHICLE WITH GAS, GAS HAS SPRAYED OUT ALL OVER THE CAR, GROUND AND MYSELF. I AM NOT TOPPING OFF THE VEHICLE - I AM FILLING UP TO THE POINT OF WHEN THE PUMP AUTOMATICALLY STOPS. THIS IS NOT SAFE AND I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF THIS SAME TYPE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO CORRECT THIS. *TR
JEEP IS A 2007 WRANGLER. WHEN FILLING UP, GASOLINE OVERFLOWS OUT OF THE FUEL TANK JUST AS THE TANK GETS FULL. STARTED AT ABOUT 27K MILES. JEEP NOW HAS 28,500 MILES. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE FUEL TANK STARTS OUT EMPTY OR IF IT IS HALF FULL. IT SPILLS OUT EVERY TIME NOW. THE GAS SPILLS OUT ONTO THE VEHICLE AND RUNS ONTO THE GROUND. THIS CAN'T BE GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. IN ADDITION I GET GASOLINE ON MY HANDS WHICH IS NOT HEALTHY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WOULD SWAY BACK AND FORTH WHENEVER DRIVING OVER A ROAD BUMP OR A POTHOLE. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND BOTH THE BEARINGS AND STRUTS WERE REPLACED, BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 74,000. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 45 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE BEGAN SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE STEERING STABILIZER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR THE REPAIR AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
I BOUGHT A USED 2007 JEEP WRANGLER 2 DOOR WITH 34,000 MILES ON IT. I HAD FILED THE GAS TANK SEVERAL TIMES ONLY TO HAVE IT BACKFLOW ON TO ME AND THE SIDE OF THE JEEP MAKING A REAL MESS AND CREATING A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD. OF COURSE I BLAMED THE SERVICE STATION PUMP FOR NOT STOPPING IN TIME BUT THIS HAPPENS ON EVERY FILL UP WHEN TRYING TO FILL THE TANK FULL. THIS PROBLEM IS A DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INJURED. MY WARRANTY IS UP 40,000 MILES AND I AM TOLD IT NEEDS A NEW GAS TANK TO REPAIR WHICH OF COURSE IS SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS OF REPAIR COST. THIS FAULTY PART DEMANDS A SAFETY RECALL BE IMPLEMENTED OR MAYBE A POSSIBLE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURED. *TR
WHEN REFUELING VEHICLE AT ANY FUEL STATION, FUEL NOZZLE DOES NOT SHUTOFF AND OVER SPILLS AT FUEL OPENING. IT OCCURS REGARDLESS OF TEMPERATURE, FUEL STATION, OR POSITIONING OF FUEL NOZZLE IN PORT.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH IN THE RAIN THE SOFT TOP ON THE VEHICLE BEGAN LEAKING ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS SIDE WHERE THE DOORS MEET. IF WATER LEAKED ON THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS IN THE VEHICLE THEY COULD RUST OR A FIRE MAY OCCUR. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR THE WATER LEAK AND THEY REPLACED THE DOOR SEALS ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE; HOWEVER, THAT HAS NOT REMEDIED THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE SOFT TOP AND THE DOOR SEALS. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE LEAKING SOFT TOP AND THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT WHEN TRAVELING AT SPEEDS ABOVE 50 MPH, THE WHEELS WOULD RATTLE AND HE WOULD LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER MADE THREE ATTEMPTS TO DUPLICATE A FAILURE. THEY REPLACED ALL THE SHOCKS AS WELL AS THE STEERING STABILIZER. THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 39,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
FUEL BACK FLOWS OUT OF THE FUEL FILLER NECK AT GAS STATIONS WHEN FULL, NO MATTER HOW SLOW I RUN THE NOZZLE. CHRYSLER HAS DETERMINED THAT MY BUILD DATE IS BEFORE THEIR TSB, SO IT IS NOT COVERED. MY SOLUTION IS TO STUFF PAPER TOWELS AT THE NOZZLE DURING EVERY FILL, WHICH SOAKS UP THE EXCESS FUEL SPILLAGE. NOT VERY FRIENDLY TO THE ENVIRONMENT, BUT IF IT IS OK WITH CHRYSLER, THEN I GUESS IT IS OK WITH ME. *TR
JEEP WRANGLER 2007 VEHICLE CONSISTENTLY SPILLS GAS WHEN REFUELING. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE ENTIRE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY, WHICH WAS ENOUGH TO LOSE CONTROL. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND UPON EXAMINATION SHE COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. SHE GOT BACK IN THE VEHICLE AND IT BEGAN TO DRIVE AS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE EXAMINED FOR THE CAUSE OF FAILURE AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 38,000. GAS TANK OVER FLOW WHEN FILLING UP 2007 JEEP JK WRANGLER RUBICON. THE PUMP DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO STOP FOR IT TO HAPPEN. I CAN FILL IT UP WITH 10 GALLONS OF GAS, STOP THE PUMP AND AS SOON AS YOU PULL THE PUMP OUT OF THE NECK GAS SPRAYS OUT. THE OPTION BELOW TO ENTER A DATE ONLY ALLOWS FOR ONE DATE. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE JEEP. *TR

AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED, BUT DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE WITH REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 92,000.

SHE NOTICED THE PROBLEM INTERMITTENTLY THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER BUT IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 36,000.
MY JEEP WRANGLER HAS THE WELL KNOWN DEFECT APPROPRIATE CONSUMER NAME "THE JEEP DEATH WOBBLE" THERE IS NO GUARANTEED REPAIR IN THIS DEFECT THAT CAUSES AND HAS CAUSED ACCIDENT AND / OR DEATH. I WILL NOT REPAIR A JEEP THAT I DID NOT CAUSE THE DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURE. MY JEEP IS WELL MAINTAINED, NEVER TAKEN OFF ROAD , NEVER ALTERED ANY OF THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURE DESIGN AND PARTS. THIS DEFECT IS AFFECTING THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF CONSUMERS AND THERE IS NO GUARANTEED REPAIR IF ANY AND I WILL NOT RISK THE LIVES OF MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, ENEMIES, CHILDREN, BABIES, PETS, THOSE INNOCENT PEOPLE DRIVING AROUND ME WITH THEIR NON-DEFECTIVE VEHICLE AND I WILL NOT RISK MY LIFE AT THE HANDS OF DAIMLER CHRYSLERS DEFECTIVE JEEP WRANGLERS SINCE 2003. I ACQUIRED MY JEEP WRANGLER (MANUAL TRANSMISSION) IN JANUARY OF 2007, SHORTLY THEREAFTER IT STARTED POPPING OUT OF 1ST GEAR. AT FIRST IT WAS JUST ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH, IT HAS PROGRESSED TO A POINT WHERE IT WAS DOING IT 4-6 TIMES PER DAY. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THAT I WAS NOT ENGAGING IT PROPERLY, BUT I'VE SUBSEQUENTLY TRIED TO HOLD IT IN 1ST GEAR AND IT FORCES ITSELF OUT OF GEAR SO HARD THAT IT ALMOST BROKE MY WRIST. I'VE NOTICED THAT IT POPS OUT MORE UPON LOW TO MEDIUM ACCELERATION. LAST MONTH, I APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE A RIGHT HAD TURN. AS I ATTEMPTED TO MAKE THE TURN FROM A STOPPED POSITION, UPON MODERATE ACCELERATION, THE TRANSMISSION POPPED OUT OF FIRST GEAR AND LEFT ME STALLED IN NEUTRAL IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. FORTUNATELY, THE VEHICLE BEHIND WAS ABLE TO SKID AND BARELY HIT MY SLOWED VEHICLE. AT THIS POINT MY WIFE STOPPED DRIVING THE VEHICLE AS SHE FELT IT WAS TWO DANGEROUS. I WAS NOW CONVINCED THAT THIS CONDITION WAS VERY UNSAFE AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE (@49,500 MILES) TO A JEEP DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP UPDATED THE 1-2 SYNCHRONIZER ASSEMBLY WITH STRONGER DETENT SPRINGS PURSUANT TO THE CHRYSLER/JEEP TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 21-001-10 THAT WAS ISSUED ON MARCH 2, 2010. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO INVESTIGATE THIS DEFECT IN ORDER TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH TO ADDITIONAL VEHICLE OWNERS. *TR
JEEP 2007 WRANGLER UNLIMITED 4 DOOR HARD STARTING - CRANKS AND CRANKS ETC LIGHT COMES ON AND VEHICLE LOSES POWER. *TR
WHILE FILLING UP MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER WITH GAS, THE GAS SEEMS TO OVERFILL AND SPIT BACK OUT OF THE FUEL FILL NECK. THIS OCCURS AT DIFFERENT PUMPS WITH NO APPARENT CONSISTENT FACTORS. WHEN THE TANK GETS FULL AND THE PUMP CLICKS OFF ALL OF A SUDDEN ABOUT A HALF A GALLON OF GAS, OR MORE, SPITS BACK OUT OF THE NECK ONTO ME, THE VEHICLE AND THE GROUND. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME, I WOULD SAY 2 OR 3 OUT OF EVERY 10 TIMES. NOW I HAVE ADAPTED MY FILL UP STRATEGY AND FILL ONLY TO WHAT I THINK IS NEAR FULL AND NOT LET IT CLICK, BUT THIS STILL SEEMS DANGEROUS TO ME. NO OTHER FIX IS KNOWN FOR THIS CONDITION. *TR

ONE DAY FOLLOWING REPAIRS, THE VEHICLE WAS HESITANT TO START. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE YET IT WOULD STALL SPORADICALLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE OR DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER ADVISED THEY WOULD HAVE TO TAKE POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE FOR AN UNSPECIFIED AMOUNT OF TIME. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
2007 JEEP WRANGLER. WHEN LEAVING A STOP, MANUAL TRANSMISSION VIOLENTLY POPS OUT OF 1ST GEAR ON ACCELERATION. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN ACCELERATION IS NEEDED MOST OF ALL SUCH AS WHEN TURNING LEFT ON A BUSY 4-LANE ROAD. DRIVER IS THEN UNABLE TO PUT CAR IN ANY GEAR FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. THIS WILL LEAD TO A SERIOUS ACCIDENT EVENTUALLY BY BEING HIT BROADSIDE OR FROM THE REAR IF STALLED LEAVING A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. DEALER ACTS LIKE THEY NEVER HEARD OF THIS BUT THE WEB IS FULL OF SIMILAR REPORTS. THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS OTHER THAN A TRANSMISSION REDESIGN. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 15 TIMES IN THE PAST 3-YEARS. THE ONLY THING THAT SEEMS TO HELP IS TO HOLD THE SHIFTER FIRMLY IN 1ST GEAR WHEN ACCELERATING TO PREVENT IT FROM POPPING OUT OF GEAR. I'M GOING TO HAVE TO TRADE THE JEEP BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE. UNFORTUNATELY THE DEALER WILL SELL IT TO SOME POOR UNSUSPECTING PERSON WHO WILL PROBABLY KILL HIMSELF. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER A RED 3 COMES ON THE DASH THEN THE MOTOR SHUTS OFF FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN EVERYTHING GOES BACK TO NORMAL ...THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST TWO YEARS .... *TR
VIOLENT SHAKE OF THE FRONT END OF MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER JK RUBICON. SEEMS TO HAPPEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND FEELS LIKE THE ENTIRE VEHICLE IS GOING TO FALL APART. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND CHRYSLER NEEDS TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT AND PUT OUT A FIX FOR THIS BEFORE IT KILLS SOMEONE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHENEVER THE VEHICLE DROVE OVER A BUMP IT BECAME UNCONTROLLABLE UNTIL IT SLOWS DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO REPAIRED BOTH BALL JOINTS TWICE BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO STATED A REPRESENTATIVE WOULD RETURN HIS CALL WITHIN 24 HOURS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
2007 JEEP WRANGLER JK - 2 DOOR X - FUEL OVERFLOW ISSUE - WHEN FUELING VEHICLE, FUEL SPILLS OUT OF FUEL FILLER PRIOR TO STOPPING. APPROX. 1 PINT OF FUEL POURS OUTSIDE OF FUEL SYSTEM AND ONTO GROUND. THIS POSES A HIGH RISK OF FIRE AND ACCIDENT. RECURRING INCIDENT EVERY TIME VEHICLE IS FILLED. *TR
MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER 2 DOOR DEVELOPED A VIOLENT SHAKE WHEN I WOULD HIT A BUMP OR GO OVER RAILROAD TRACKS AT SPEEDS AROUND 15 MPH TO 25 MPH. THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD JERK LEFT AND RIGHT, ALMOST TO THE POINT THAT I COULD NOT MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL OR THE VEHICLE. I COULD FEEL THE FRONT WHEEL SHAKING BACK AND FORTH. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT WOULD BE TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO A COMPLETE STOP. AFTER A GREAT DEAL OF DIAGNOSING THIS ISSUE, I REMOVED THE FRONT TRACTION BAR AND NOTICED THAT THE BOLT HOLES ON BOTH THE FRAME AND AXLE BRACKETS THAT SECURE THE TRACTION BAR HAD BECOME ELONGATED. DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING OUT OF WARRANTY, I TOOK IT TO A WELDING SHOP. THEY ADVISED ME THAT THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE TO WELD A HEAVY DUTY WASHER ON BOTH SIDES OF EACH MOUNTING BRACKET TO SECURE THE MOUNTING BOLTS. THE WELDING SHOP ALSO INFORMED ME THAT THIS WOULD NOT BE A PERMANENT FIX, BUT MAY LAST FOR A WHILE. THEY ALSO INFORMED MY THAT THE METAL BRACKETS APPEARED TO BE MADE OF WEAK METAL AND THE BOLTS ARE GRADE 8. THEY SAID THIS EXPLAINS THAT THE BRACKET IS WEAKER THAN THE BOLT AND THAT IS WHY THE BRACKETS GAVE WAY. AFTER THE WASHERS WERE WELDED ON THE BRACKETS, THE SHAKING HAS GONE AND HAS NOT RETURNED. I HAVE READ ON JK-FORUM.COM OF MANY OTHER JEEP WRANGLERS THAT HAVE HAD THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. *TR
FEELING IN FRONT END SUSPENSION OF A LOOSE COMPONENT. YOU CAN FEEL IT IN THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN THE VEHICLE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS HOT. DEALERSHIP CLAIMS NO PROBLEM FOUND. STILL HAVING PROBLEM TODAY AND EVERYDAY. SPOKE TO OTHER JEEP OWNERS THEY THINK IT MAY BE IN THE STEERING SHAFT WHICH RUNS CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD .
GAS GUSHES OUT OF THE FILLER AFTER THE PUMP SHUTS OFF. TRIED DIFFERENT ANGLES AND DEPTHS IT IS INSERTED BUT IT HAPPENS WHEN IT SHUTS OFF AND MAKES A MESS ON THE VEHICLE AND THE GROUND. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE TANK. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION VIOLENTLY SLIPPED OUT OF FIRST GEAR. IMMEDIATELY, THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO THE SECOND GEAR RANGE, AND RESUMED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THE DEALER REGARDING THE FAILURE AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
WHEN FILLING GAS ON MY 2007 JEEP WRANGLER. THE GAS NOZZLE WILL CLICK OFF AT FULL. AND THEN 2-3 SECONDS LATTER APROX. ONE QUART OF GAS WILL SPILL OUT OF THE FILLER NECK DOWN THE SIDE OF THE JEEP ONTO THE GROUND. THIS HAS BEEN AN ON GOING PROBLEM FOR THE LAST 3 MONTHS. *TR
EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS FILLED WITH GASOLINE, GASOLINE EXITS THE TANK THROUGH THE FILLER TUBE AND SPLASHES ON THE GROUND LEAVING A POTENTIAL FOR FIRE. THIS HAPPENS AT PUMPS AT DIFFERENT STATIONS IN DIFFERENT STATES, DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF FUEL WITHIN BEFORE FUELING, AND REGARDLESS OF PLACEMENT OF THE FILLING HANDLE OF THE PUMP. THE VEHICLE WORKED AS IT SHOULD FOR THE FIRST 25K MILES AND WILL NOT FILL CORRECTLY SINCE THAT TIME WITHOUT LEAVING FUEL ON THE GROUND. THIS IS MY SECOND 2007 JEEP WRANGLER AND BOTH HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AT APPROXIMATELY THE SAME MILEAGE. EACH VEHICLE WAS FILLED WITH THE CORRECT GASOLINE AS PRESCRIBED BY THE MANUAL AND ALL MAINTENANCE WAS DONE AT A 5 STAR JEEP DEALER ON BOTH. THERE APPEARS TO BE A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN OF THE GAS SYSTEM.
MY VEHICLE SPILLS FUEL OUT OF THE FILLER AREA EVERY TIME I FILL UP. THE FUEL GETS ON ME, THE VEHICLE, AND THE GROUND. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER ABOUT THE MATTER, AND THEY ADVISE ME BECAUSE I AM OUTSIDE THE TIME FRAME FOR THEIR TSB, ANY REPAIRS WOULD HAVE TO BE PAID BY ME. AFTER THOROUGHLY RESEARCHING THE MATTER, IT SEEMS THIS IS A WIDE SPREAD CONCERN. CHRYSLER HAS ADDRESSED THE ISSUE FOR SOME, BUT NOT OTHERS BECAUSE "WE'RE OUTSIDE THE WINDOW". AGAIN, RESEARCH SHOWS THIS IS ANOTHER WIDE SPREAD MATTER ATTRIBUTED TO FAULTY MOTOR CONSTRUCTION OF SOME 2007/2008 ENGINES. OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD THE REPAIR DONE UNDER WARRANTY FOUND THAT ON THREE PISTONS, RING GAPS WHERE IN A LINE, THE OTHER THREE WHERE CLOSE, ALL SIX OIL EXPANDER RINGS AND PISTON RODS WHERE INSTALLED UPSIDE DOWN. CHRYSLER WILL ADDRESS THE MATTER ONLY IF YOU ARE STILL UNDER WARRANTY. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE COST SHOULD BE BARED BY THE CONSUMER WHEN BOTH MATTERS ARE SO COMMON AND WIDE SPREAD AS TO INDICATE DESIGN FLAWS IN THE PRODUCT. I CHECKED WITH SOME FRIENDS WHO OWN JEEPS AS WELL AS JEEP BLOGS AND AS IT TURNS OUT MANY JEEP WRANGLER OWNERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM - SEEMS LIKE A DESIGN FLAW VERSUS USER ERROR. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE WAS RUBBING THROUGH THE BRAKE LINE; THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNED ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE BRAKE LINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND MOVED; THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT IF THE LINE WAS NOT REPLACED, BRAKE FLUID WOULD LEAK OUT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 42,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

INTERMITTENT PROBLEM OCCURRING ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS SUDDENLY, WITHOUT WARNING, THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF. ALL WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH BOARD APPEAR, ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF WHICH LEADS TO POWER STEERING FAILURE AND LOSS OF SAFE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. WHILE THE ENGINE SHUT OFF IS INTERMITTENT AND DOES NOT LAST FOR MORE THAN A FEW SECONDS BEFORE IT TURNS BACK ON WITHOUT USE OF THE KEY OR ANY OTHER MEANS OF MANUALLY RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, IT IS HIGHLY UNSAFE AND CAN LEAD TO SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH. WE HAVE NOTED THIS ISSUE OCCURRING APPROXIMATELY 1-2 TIMES PER MONTH. WE FINALLY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SERVICE AND LOCATE THE ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE ON OCTOBER 20, 2011. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF UNUSUALLY HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION. THE DEALERSHIP ADVISED WE DO AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WHICH WILL BE COMPLETED IN 3000 MILES OR 3 MONTHS. *TR
BOUGHT 2007 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED X IN APRIL 2010. 2 MONTHS LATER WHILE FILLING IT UP AT THE GAS STATION THE GAS CAME POURING BACK OUT. I THOUGHT PUMP WAS BROKEN ACTUALLY INFORMED CLERK. HAPPENED AGAIN 3 FILL-UPS LATER. AROUND THAT TIME STARTED HAVING A SHIMMY IN FRONT END. BROUGHT IT BACK TO DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. WAS TOLD THEY NEVER HEARD OF GAS COMING BACK OUT I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG AND THE SHIMMY WAS "NORMAL" FOR JEEPS. BEEN HAVING MAJOR ISSUES WITH THIS TRUCK IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MORE THAN ANY VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. I'VE ONLY BOUGHT USED. I'VE HAD TO HAVE THE 02 SENSORS CHANGED 4 TIMES. I HAVE MY TIRES BALANCED SEVERAL TIMES. MY TIRES ROTATED. ALIGNMENTS, ETC. I HAVE ALSO REPLACED THE STEERING DAMPER. FAST FORWARD TO 2013. SHIMMY IS SO BAD I ALMOST TOOK OUT ANOTHER DRIVER. THANKFULLY I'M A COMMERCIALLY TRAINED DRIVER OTHERWISE IT COULD HAVE ENDED BADLY. STILL HAVE GAS POURING OUT EVERY FILL UP. 02 SENSORS STILL KEEP CRAPPING OUT. HEAD GASKETS HAD TO BE REPLACED ALREADY. I FINALLY HAD ENOUGH AND TOLD DEALER THEY NEED TO FIX NO MORE GAMES AND I FIND OUT ABOUT THE TSB FOR THE STEERING DAMPER. THEN I ALSO HAVE TO BE TOLD THAT MY MAIN REAR OIL SEAL IS NOW LEAKING AND MY TRANNY COOLANT LINES ARE LEAKING??? OH AND WAS TOLD THAT ALL THIS WAS NORMAL FOR JEEPS AS WELL???? REALLY!!!!! THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 66K MILES ON IT. IT'S ALL ORIGINAL NO LIFT KITS, NO OFF ROADING, NOTHING.... THIS IS BULL... FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I PAID FOR THIS VEHICLE SOMEBODY SHOULD BE DOING SOMETHING. AN OPEN RECALL DATED FEB 19, 2010 WAS IGNORED BY MY AUTHORIZED CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP DEALER DEALING WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE WARNING. THE RECALL WAS INCOMPLETE AND STILL OPEN, YET THE DEALER STILL SOLD IT TO US WITHOUT ANY WARNING OF THE RECALL, AND EVEN DENIED THERE WAS MORE THAN ONE RECALL WHEN ASKED. I HAVE A 2007 JEEP JK THAT HAS A SYSTEMIC PROBLEM OF HAVING FUEL SPILL OUT ON THE SIDE OF THE JEEP WHEN REFUELING. ALMOST INSTANTANEOUSLY, THE FUEL NOZZLE HANDLE SHUTS OFF AND ROUGHLY GALLON OF FUEL GUSHES OUT ON THE JEEP, BUMPER AND GROUND. THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM IS TO FILL HALF WAY OR ATTEMPT TO LISTEN FOR FUEL COMING CLOSE TO THE TOP OF THE TANK.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED WITH 7907 MILES ON IT. WITHIN FOUR MONTHS I EXPERIENCED THE FRONT END SHAKE VIOLENTLY WHEN I HIT A BUMP. I HAVE FOUND A LOCATION ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY I-294 WHERE AT 55MPH IT WILL OCCUR WHEN EVER I AM IN THE RIGHT LANE. I HAVE NOT TAKEN THE CAR TO A DEALER YET BECAUSE IT ONLY HAS 27000 MILES ON IT AND EVERYTHING LOOKS TIGHT IN THE FRONT END. THE VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY STOCK AND HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVER OFF ROAD. AFTER RESEARCHING THE INTERNET FOR SIMILAR COMPLAINTS I FOUND MANY PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME TROUBLE. IT IS DESCRIBED AS "DEATH WOBBLE". I BELIEVE THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE LOOKED AT BY THE NTSB.
