WE WHERE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO A SUDDEN STOP WE SMELT THE CLUTCH AND THERE WAS OIL ON THE ENGINE AND GROUND . WE SAW A CONNECTING ROD CAP HANGING OUT THE SIDE OF THE BLOCK.A MECHANIC REMOVED THE OIL PAN AND FOUND 2 CONNECTING ROD BOLTS BROKEN LAYING IN THE OIL PAN. IT WAS COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO THE CONNECTING ROD BOLTS. HAVE GOTTEN COMPLETE MOTOR FROM JEEP REMANUFACTURE
2009 JEEP WRANGLER HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING, SOMETIMES LOSES POWER, AND/OR BUCKS RANDOMLY. WHEN STARTING FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO START ACCELERATING, WITH THE DELAY BEING IN THE ORDER OF 2 SECONDS OR MORE. WHEN MERGING, THE VEHICLE SOMETIMES LOSES POWER IF YOU STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR HARD. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND ACCELERATING GENTLY, IT SOMETIMES HESITATES OR 'BUCKS' AND THEN GAINS POWER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 JEEP WRANGLER. WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AT 10 MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. SHE SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTED IT TO RESET THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RESURFACED AND BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THIRTEEN TIMES AND THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY. NONE OF THE REPAIRS HAVE REMEDIED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 900. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 16,000.
TRANSFER CASE SHIFTER LINKAGE BROKE WHEN SHIFTING FROM 4 WHEEL DRIVE TO 2 WHEEL DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN NEUTRAL IN THE ROAD AND COULD NOT BE MOVED. LEAVING MY WIFE STRANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY STATE HIGHWAY. *TR
MY 2009 JEEP WRANGLER OVERFILLS EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY AND FILL-UP. IT HAS GOTTEN TOT HE POINT THAT I GENERALLY TRY AND STOP FILLING UP AT ABOUT 3/4 OF A TANK IF I CAN, BUT IF I ALLOW IT TO FILL AON ITS OWN, IT OVERFILLS AND SPLASHES OUT. *TR
