VEHICLE DIES WHILE DRIVING ALL ELECTRICAL LIGHTS ON DASH ARE LIT UP. CONSUMER STATED AFTER PULLING THE VEHICLE INTO A PARKING LOT VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. AFTER 10 MINUTES VEHICLE STARTS, WIPERS GO AT FULL SPEED AND DEPLOY ALL WASHER FLUID. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REVELED LOW VOLTAGE TO THE TIPM MODULE. HORNS SOUNDS WHILE BACKING UP. ANOTHER TIME ARE WINDOWS WILL NOT ROLL DOWN AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES THEY START WORKING AGAIN. AFTER DISCONNECTING BATTERY PROBLEM GO AWAYS.*DT*JB *TR
WHEN I REACH ABOUT 45 MPR THE WHOLE VEHICLE SHAKES VIOLENTLY. TOOK IT SEVERAL TIMES TO HAVE IT CORRECTED, BUT THE ISSUE ALWAYS CAME BACK. THEY TOLD ME IT JUST NEEDED A BOLT TIGHTENING. I FOUND OUT THAT A LOT OF THIS MODEL HAVE WHAT THEY CALL "DEATH WOBBLE". MY DAUGHTER IS AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AND IT'S BEEN PARKED IN MY GARAGE EVER SINCE LAST TIME. THE PART IN QUESTION IS IN THE SUSPENSION AND IS CALLED THE STABILIZER OR STEERING DAMPER.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEAT BLOWS COLDER THAN THE PASSENGERS SIDE HEAT. PROBLEM LAYS WITH EITHER FAULTY HEATER CORE, AIR DIVERSION SWITCH, OR IMPROPER CHANNELING. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN SITTING IDLE, AND WHILE DRIVING. PREVENTS PROPER DEFROSTING MEASURES WHEN DRIVING IN COLD, WET WEATHER.
WHEN FILLING UP FOR GAS IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE TO STOP. WHEN PUMPING IT WILL OVERFLOW ONTO THE CAR, FLOOR AND MYSELF. EACH TIME HAVING A CLEANUP. *TR
FUEL OVERSPILLS THE FUEL INTAKE WHEN FILLING AT A STANDARD GAS PUMP WITH AUTO SHUT-OFF. THE PUMP AUTOMATICALLY STOPS FILLING, THEN A SECOND LATER A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF GAS SPLASHES BACK OUT OF THE INTAKE. FROM READING OTHER COMPLAINS HERE AND ONLINE, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON JEEPS OF THIS YEAR AND AROUND IT. *TR
MY DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO HONOR A RECALL FOR THE FUEL SPILLBACK PROBLEM AND WANTS ME TO PAY IN EXCESS OF $300 FOR THE PART AND REPAIR. THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH FUELING AND THE PUMP SHUTOFF DOES NOT ENGAGE, THUS OVERFLOWING AND SPILLING GASOLINE OUT OF THE FUEL DOOR. THIS OF COURSE HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY. I WASN'T ALLOWED TO ORDER THE MOPAR PART NUMBER CNNNX321AC TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM MYSELF BECAUSE THE VENDOR SAID IT CAN ONLY BE PURCHASED BY THE DEALER BECAUSE IT IS A "RECALLED" PART. I NEED TO KNOW HOW I CAN FILE A CLAIM TO BE REIMBURSED IF I HAVE TO PAY THE DEALERSHIP OR HOW I CAN ORDER THE PART THROUGH A VENDOR WHO WOULD ALLOW ME TO PURCHASE THE PART. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED ABNORMALLY. THE CONTACT STATED SHE SWITCHED THE VEHICLE INTO VARIOUS GEARS AND SLOWED THE VEHICLE DOWN HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
WHEN I FILL UP TANK OF GAS IT OVERFLOWS, DOES NOT SHUT OFF PUMP. GAS OVERFLOWS ONTO FENDER, BUMPER, TIRE AND GROUND. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. NOT TO MENTION A WASTE OF GAS AND SMELLY HANDS ALL DAY AFTER CLEANING GAS OFF OF FENDER AND BUMPER. HAVE PREVIOUSLY FILED A COMPLAINT BUT TO DATE NO TSB OR RECALL TO ADDRESS THIS SAFETY ISSUE.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT APPROX 45MPH IN THE RH LANE APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION WITH AN ILLUMINATED GREEN RIGHT-TURN ARROW(MY LANE), A VEHICLE IN THE SAME LANE, TRAVELING SAME DIRECTION, SUDDENLY STOPPED AT THE GREEN LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION. I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED HARD PRESSURE TO BRAKE PEDAL, ONLY TO HAVE IT SLAM STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR-BOARD WITH VERY LITTLE BRAKING ACTION. I WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY DOWN-SHIFT AND APPLY PARKING BRAKE IN TIME TO AVOID COLLISION WITH STOPPED VEHICLE. I CAREFULLY DROVE VEHICLE TO MY HOME, APPROX 3 MILES FROM INCIDENT INTERSECTION. UPON INSPECTION I NOTED BRAKE MASTER-CYLINDER EMPTY (IT WAS TOPPED-OFF TO "MAX" LINE WHEN CHECKED EVENING PRIOR), AND HYDRAULIC FLUID SPRAYED ALL-AROUND RIGHT (PASSENGER)-SIDE FRONT INNER WHEEL AND PUDDLED/DRIPPING AT BANJO-BOLT. YOU-TUBE RESEARCH FOUND A SIMILAR SITUATION WITH A JEEP 2 MODEL YEARS OLDER THAN MINE. I REPLACED THE LEFT BRAKE HOSE ASSEMBLY AS WELL, AND FOUND NEARLY AS-SEVERE CORROSION ON THE METAL CRIMP-ON FITTINGS THOUGH NO LEAKAGE HAD OCCURRED FROM THERE DURING THIS INCIDENT. SEE ATTACHMENTS FOR DIGITAL PICS TAKEN THROUGHOUT THE REPAIR PROCESS, AND EXCERPTS FROM THE MAINTENANCE LOGBOOK I MAINTAIN ON THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE ANOTHER, NEWER (2014) JEEP WRANGLER THAT HAS THE SAME FLEXIBLE BRAKE-HOSE INSTALLATION AT BUILD. I INTEND TO REMOVE/REPLACE THOSE HOSES AT NEXT SCHEDULED INSPECTION, IN APPROX 6-8 WEEKS. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V018000 (Air Bags) and 16V290000 (Air Bags) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealers Tasca Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat Johnston (1667 Hartford Ave, Johnston, RI 02919: (401) 351-6600) and Bald Hill Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM (1035 Bald Hill Rd, Warwick, RI 02886: (844) 847-4671) were contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VEHICLE WILL EXPERIENCE UNCONTROLLABLE VIBRATION I.E. DEATH WOBBLE WHEN GOING OVER A MINOR BUMP IN THE ROAD. THE DEATH WOBBLE CAN LAST FROM 20 YARDS TO 100 YARDS DEPENDING ON THE SPEED AND TERRAIN. THIS BEGAN TO HAPPEN ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO AND HAS BEEN MORE FREQUENT RECENTLY OCCURRING ABOUT ONCE PER WEEK. THE DATE BELOW IS THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE.
SEEM TO HAVE A FUEL LEAK SOMEWHERE. SMELL OF GASOLINE FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. ESPECIALLY STRONG WHEN THE HEATER IS ON. STRONG SMELL EVEN WHEN JUST WALKING AROUND THE VEHICLE OUTSIDE, BUT NO OBVIOUS LEAK VISIBLE.
WHILE FUELING JEEP, AS IT GETS FULL IT WILL SPLASH GASOLINE FROM THE FILL AREA ONTO THE JEEP AND MYSELF. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM AS IT HAPPENS ON A REGULAR BASIS AND THEN HAVE TO CLEAN MY JEEP AND MYSELF UP BECAUSE THE GAS COMES OUT AT A GOOD FORCE. I THEN SMELL LIKE GASOLINE FOR THE REST OF THE DAY.
THE DEALER DOES NOT HAVE ANY PARTS AVAILABLE TO FIX THE CLOCK SPRING IN MY JEEP WRANGLER AS A RESULT THE AIRBAGS MAY NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT

THE CENTER CONSOLE GETS HOT (LIKE WORRY ABOUT A FIRE HOT) , THE RADIO WILL NOT WORK SOMETIMES, SOMETIMES THE RADIO WILL BE ON BUT YOU CAN NOT SHUT IT OFF OR TURN THE STATION OR ANYTHING WITH IT, NOW THE WIPERS WILL NOT SHUT OFF, IT WILL NOT COME OUT OF PARK, RANDOM LIGHTS COME ON ON THE DASH AND GO OFF, THE WINDOWS AND BLINKERS DO NOT WORK. THANK GOD MINE HAPPENED WHILE IN THE PARKING LOT AT WORK AND NOT DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH HEADING HOME AS I TAKE 95 HOME FROM WORK. .SO MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ON LINE. LOOK IT UP
TAKATA RECALL. ON SUNDAY AUGUST 18TH 2019 AT 4:30 PM A PHONE CALL WAS PLACED TO BROOKLYN CHRYSLER/JEEP AT 718 713 3000 TO CONFIRM AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN AIRBAG RECALL MADE THROUGH THE NATIONAL HOTLINE. UPON CONTACTING THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, I WAS TOLD THAT THE NATIONAL RECALL CENTER DID NOT APPROPRIATELY SCHEDULE THE AIRBAG REPAIR, AND MADE MY APPOINTMENT FOR AN "OIL CHANGE." I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT SCHEDULING ERRORS ARE FREQUENT FROM YOUR OFFICE AND THAT THEY DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE REPLACEMENT AIR BAG PARTS IN STOCK. I WAS TOLD THAT CHRYSLER ONLY SENDS OUT "TWO OR THREE" AIRBAG RECALL PARTS AT A TIME AND THAT THEY ARE GIVEN OUT ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. SHE STATED THERE IS NO CURRENT PROCEDURE FOR ASSIGNING SERVICE TO A PARTICULAR CUSTOMER AT A PARTICULAR TIME, AND THAT I SHOULD TRY BACK EVERY FEW WEEKS. THIS HAPHAZARD HANDLING, IF TRUE, BEGS THE QUESTION OF WHY YOUR OFFICE WOULD SPEND AS MUCH TIME AS IT DOES SENDING OUT MAILINGS FOR ANY FIX, YET SO LITTLE EFFORT TO STREAMLINE THE ADMINISTRATIVE END TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE. I WILL CONTINUE TO TRY TO MADE THIS "POTENTIALLY DEADLY" REPAIR, BUT SOMEONE CAN COORDINATE BETTER WITH THE DEALERSHIP.
MY 2010 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED HAS BEEN IDLING FUNNY FOR A WHILE. TODAY MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STARTED RUNNING WITHOUT TURNING THEM ON, THE HEADLIGHT CAME ON HIGH BEAM WITHOUT TURNING THEM ON AND MY TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING. I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET HIME FROM WORK. SOMETIMES THE STARTER STICKS & GRINDS WHEN I TRY TO START IT..SOMETIMES THE CRUISE CONTROL MAKES THE JEEP SHAKE VIOLENTLY LIKE DRIVING ON 4 FLAT TIRES DOWN THE INTERSTATE. MY HUSBAND UNHOOKED THE BATTERY TODAY TO STOP THE WIPERS AND IT WAS SPARKING AND THE WHOLE FUSE CONTROL PANEL WAS TOO HOT TO TOUCH. HE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT IT IS THE TIPM AND IT'S BEEN A PROBLEM IN ALMOST ALL JEEP WRANGLERS, AND HAS BEEN RECALLED IN MOST THAT HAD ALL MY JEEPS ELECTRICAL ISSUES, BUT HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED IN THE 2010, EVEN AFTER MANY CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS, GLAD IT DIDN'T CATCH MY JEEP ON FIRE. NOW I'M WORRIED ABOUT PARKING IN MY GARAGE AS IT IS PART OF MY HOUSE. SO NOW MY JEEP THAT ONLY HAS 74000 MILES AND COST ME 35000 DOLLARS IS A FIRE HAZARD AND CAN'T BE PARKED IN ITS COZY 350000 GARAGE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY HOME, JEEP AND POSSIBLY MY LIFE. CHRYSLER REALLY NEEDS TO STEP UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING AFTER MAKING SO MUCH MONEY OFF OF US DIE HARD LIFE LONG JEEP ENTHUSIASTS.*DT*DT *TR
HEADLIGHTS WILL NOT TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. FOG LIGHTS WORK, BUT HEADLIGHTS AND HIGH BEAMS SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. THEN RANDOMLY WILL TURN ON. THIS CAN LAST FOR DAYS OR EVEN MONTHS. THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN.
MY PARKED/STATIONARY 2010 JEEP WRANGLER CAUGHT FIRE FROM THE CENTER CONSOLE BY ITSELF WITH NO OUTSIDE FACTORS INVOLVED. IT WAS PARKED INSIDE MY DETACHED GARAGE.*DT *DT *DT APPROVAL FOR INSURANCE COMPANY AND FIRE INCIDENT INSPECTION ATTACHED.*JB *TR
JEEP HOOD FLUTTER AT 55MPH OR GREATER WITH NO MODIFICATIONS FROM STOCK HOOD. HOOD FLUTTER BECOMES VIOLENT AT 70MPH OR GREATER TO WHERE HOOD APPEARS TO LIFT OFF THE JEEP WHILE BEING LATCHED DOWN.
ISSUE OVERVIEW: 2010 JEEP WRANGLER HAS A DOCUMENTED SAFETY ISSUE AND THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT AGREE THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE NOR FIX THE ISSUE, WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. I HAVE FOUR PAGES OF SPECIFIC NOTES AND SERVICE DATES, ETC. AS WELL AS THE INTERNAL OFFICIAL SERVICE BULLETIN THAT OUTLINES THAT JEEP KNEW THAT THE SAFETY CONCERN I WAS RAISING WAS A KNOWN ISSUE. I CAN EMAIL OR FAX THIS DOCUMENTATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AS THIS TEXT BOX WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO INCLUDE ALL OF THE INFORMATION SPECIFICS AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION.
HEATER CORE SLUDGE BLOCKED
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY JEEP QUIT. WHEN I LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD THE BATTERY, FUSE BOX AND WIRING WERE ALL MELTED.*DT *AS
PCM POWER CONTROL MODULE IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH JEEP WRANGLERS AND THERE IS NO RECALL?
WHEN FILLING MY JEEP WITH FUEL, THE FUEL PUMP DOES NOT SHUT OFF QUICKLY ENOUGH AND GASOLINE SPLATTERS OUT OF THE TANK AND ONTO MY HANDS, CLOTHS, JEEP AND GROUND. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME REGARDLESS WHERE I FILL UP. I USE QT, BP AND SHELL STATIONS. SOME ARE NEW AND SOME OR OLD. THIS CAN NOT BE A PUMP ISSUE BUT A JEEP ISSUE.
THE FRONT BRAKE LINES HAVE AN INSULATOR THAT COVERS THE HARD PIPE TO RUBBER CONNECTION. THIS INSULATOR ALLOWS MOISTURE TO COLLECT BETWEEN IT AND THE METAL FITTING THAT CONNECTS THE TWO DIFFERENT LINE MATERIALS. THE CONNECTION ROTS THROUGH AND THEN BEGINS TO LEAK. THE REAR LINES DO NOT HAVE THIS INSULATOR ON THAT CONNECTION AND THEY ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION. THE INSULATOR APPEARS TO BE THE CAUSE OF THE PREMATURE FAILURE. I NOTED THE LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID WHILE DOING OTHER MAINTENANCE ON THE JEEP.
WHEN FUELING VEHICLE, FUEL WILL SPILL OUT WHERE NOZZLE IS AND FLOW DOWN SIDE OF VEHICLE AND FROM A PUDDLE OF GAS ON THE GROUND, IT'S IS UNKNOWN HOW CLOSE FUEL GETS TO MUFFLER EXHAUST SYSTEM BUT COULD POTENTIALLY START A FIRE AT THE GAS PUMPS.
TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) FAILED WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE JEEP TO DIE AT HIGHWAY SPEED MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL ON THE NORTH TEXAS EXPRESSWAY WITH NO EXITS. JEEP CAME TO A STOP ON A BLIND CURVE AND WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK TO BE MOVED. SHIFTED TRANSFER CASE TO NUT NEUTRAL AND WITH ANOTHER DRIVES ASSISTANCE PUSHED OFF THE EXPRESSWAY.
I BOUGHT THIS JEEP BRAND NEW AND ALMOST FROM THE START WHEN FILLING UP AT THE GAS STATION. WHEN THE TANK IS FULL THE NOZZLE SHUTS OFF THEN A LOT OF GAS COMES OUT THE FILL PIPE I HAVE TRIED DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS ALL THE SAME PROBLEMS. I HAVE TRIED GOING SLOW TOOK ALMOST 20 MINUTES TO FILL THE GAS TANK AND STILL GAS COME SPLASHING OUT OF THE FILL PIPE. I THINK THEIR IS SOMETHING DEFECTIVE IN THE FILL PIPE THAT DOESN'T TRIGGER THE SHUT OFF IN THE NOZZLE FAST ENOUGH.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN MY RESIDENTIAL STREET AND MY JEEP'S WINDSHIELD WIPERS STARTED GOING OFF, MY HORN STARTING HONKING AND MY SEAT BELT LIGHT CAME ON. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE AND 3 SECONDS LATER IT DID THE SAME THING BUT THIS TIME IT DIED AND SMOKE STARTED COMING THROUGH MY VENTS INSIDE. I IMMEDIATELY PUT IT IN PARK AND GOT OUT TO GET MY SON OUT OF THE BACK SEAT BUT MY DOOR SHUT BEHIND ME AND ALL OF THE REST WERE LOCKED. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED 911 BECAUSE I WAS WATCHING THE CAR FILL WITH SMOKE WITH MY 10 MONTH OLD TRAPPED INSIDE. I WAS NOT ABLE TO UNLOCK ANY OF THE DOORS UNTIL I GOT TO THE BACK HATCH, WHERE MY KEY OPENED IT UP. I GOT MY SON OUT AND ABOUT 60 SECONDS LATER, IT STARTED SMOKING WORSE AND IT TURNED TO BLACK SMOKE. ABOUT 30 SECONDS AFTER THAT MY CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE. IT ALL SEEMED TO START UNDER THE HOOD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR.
ALL THE BREAK LIGHTS CAME ON AT ONE TIME (ESP, BAS, ABS) AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WILL NOT GO OFF. I WAS SLOWING DOWN AT A STOP SIGN IN A SCHOOL PARKING LOT. NO RAIN OR OTHER WEATHER EVENTS OCCURED, ON DRY PAVEMENT
THE HEAD LIGHTS HAVE STOPPED WORKING. THEY FLASH WHEN I START THE JEEP AND WHEN I TURN ON THE LIGHT SWITCH. THE PROBLEM STARTED WHEN I CHANGED THE BATTERY. I CAN'T DRIVE IT AT NIGHT ANYMORE. THE WEB IS FULL OF THIS SAME COMPLAINANT. I HAD THE SYSTEM SCANNED AND GET CODES B162F & B162B. HOW CAN THIS PROBLEM EXIST? I'M TALKING ABOUT HEAD LIGHTS. THE RUNNING LIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED.

SOUTH COUNTY DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (7127 S LINDBERGH BLVD, SAINT LOUIS, MO 63125, (888) 486-1749) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A SECOND DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE EGR NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, SMOKE EMERGED FROM THE VEHICLE AND THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR COMING FROM THE VENTS. THE CONTACT OBSERVED GRASS AND MUD UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
ENGINE STARTED MAKING A RATTLING NOISE AT 54,200 MILES. NO ENGINE LIGHTS OR OIL PRESSURE INDICATORS. BROUGHT IN TO HAVE CHECKED & FOUND TO HAVE NO ENGINE OIL, LOW ENGINE COOLANT. THERE WAS ENOUGH DAMAGE DONE TO THE ENGINE THAT I'M HAVING TO HAVE AN ENTIRE NEW ENGINE INSTALLED AS IT WAS MORE COST EFFECTIVE THAN REPLACING THE INDIVIDUAL PARTS. THE DEALERSHIP RECEIVED A NEW ENGINE & INSTALLED. THIS ONE WAS DEFFECTIVE & HAD TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER ONE TO BE RECEIVED & INSTALLED. THANKS,
GAS TANK OVERFLOWS EVERY TIME JEEP IS FUELED GAS POURS OUT AFTER AUTO SHUT OFF
MAJOR GAS SPILLAGE AFTER STOPPING THE PUMP. GAS GOES EVERYWHERE. THIS IS SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS!
EVERY TIME I FILL THE GAS TANK IT OVERFLOWS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A WIDESPREAD ISSUE.
WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK IT REGULARLY OVERFLOWS IF I DON'T MANUALLY STOP THE PUMP PRIOR TO THE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF OCCURRING WHEN IT DETECTS A FULL TANK. THIS HAPPENED AT MULTIPLE GAS STATIONS OF MULTIPLE BRANDS SO IT'S NOT ISOLATED TO ONE STATION OR PUMP TYPE. THIS IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE FUEL SPILLS ALL OVER MY CAR AS WELL AS THE GROUND AT THE PUMP.
THE CASTING SAND FROM THE MOTOR HAS CLOGGED UP THE HEATER COIL. THE JEEP DEALER IN AUGUSTA, GA SAID I NEED TO SPEND OVER $3000 TO HAVE THE RADIATOR, HEATER COIL AND OTHER ITEMS TO REMEDY THE SITUATION. THE PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS HOT BUT THE DRIVERS SIDE BLOWS ICE COLD.

FUEL TANK LEAK OUT OF EVAP LINE CONNECTION. PART IS PLASTIC AND NON-REPLACEABLE, REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF ENTIRE FUEL TANK. APPEARS TO BE COMMON PROBLEM AS FUEL TANK IS ON SIGNIFICANT BACKORDER (I CAN AFFORD TO REPLACE TANK AT COST OF $1000.00 FOR A $1.00 PART FAILURE). WHILE FUEL TANK IS ON BACK ORDER, THE TANK CONTINUES TO LEAK FROM BROKEN, IRREPLACEABLE PLASTIC PART.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN JEEP DEALER IN MANHATTAN, NY WHERE FAILURE CODE: P1745 WAS LOCATED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
VEHICLE IS CONSUMING EXCESSIVE OIL. I CHECK THE DIP STICK EVERY TIME I GET GAS TO BE SURE IT DOESN'T GO DRY. IT STARTED BEING VERY LOW AT JUST 3,000 SINCE LAST OIL CHANGE AND PROGRESSIVELY GOT WORSE. THE DIPSTICK WILL NOW BE BELOW THE SAFE LINE AT 1,600 MILES SINCE LAST OIL CHANGE. I HAVE HAD THE PCV VALUE REPLACED AND IT DIDN'T NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL SPECIALTY JEEP MACHINES WHO HAVE SAID I WILL NEED A NEW ENGINE. *TR
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, MY HEATER STOPPED BLOWING HOT AIR ON THE DRIVER SIDE VENT AND THEN 20 MINUTES LATER MY HEATER CORE EXPLODED COOLANT ALL THROUGH MY PASSENGER FOOTWELL, AND STEAMED THE ENTIRE INTERIOR OF MY JEEP. LEAVING THE WINDSHIELD FOGGED OVER AND ME DANGEROUSLY PULLING OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON REOCCURRING MANUFACTURES DEFECT.
LIGHTS ON DASH WENT HAYWIRE AND THE VEHICLE JUST DIED WHILE GOING 35 MPH WOULD NOT RESTART OR COME OUT OF GEAR WHEN IT WAS STOPPED. I WAS STUCK ON A CITY STREET WITH NO LIGHTS OF ANY KIND. VERY THANKFUL MY DAUGHTER WAS NOT WITH ME!!
WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE VEHICLE WOULD VIOLENTLY START SHAKING IF IT HIT A POT HOLE OR THE ROAD WOULD CURVE. WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTED TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE, STEERING THE VEHICLE WAS IMPOSSIBLE AND IT ALSO KILLED THE ENGINE ONCE. THIS HAPPENED DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALSO ON RESIDENTIAL ROADS. TURNED ON THE VEHICLE THE WIPERS ARE GOING NONSTOP WITHOUT BEING TURNED ON, THE TURN SIGNALS AND ALL OF THE GAUGES ARE NOT WORKING. THE HEADLIGHTS STAY ON WHEN THE JEEP IS ON. THIS HAPPENS WITH STARTING THE VEHICLE AND ALSO DRIVING.
