THE PASSENGER SIDE FROM AIR BAG WAS ISSUED A RECALL ON JULY OF 2016. THEY ALSO SAID TO AVOID USING THAT SEAT. THE FIX IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND I THINK THAT IS AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO LIMIT MY USE OF THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE ONLY 4 SEATS TOTAL. I THINK YOU NEED TO "GET ON" JEEP ABOUT THIS UNREASONABLE SAFETY RECALL DELAY.

FIRST ACCIDENT INVOLVED WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT ANOTHER VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH THE LEFT FRONT BUMPER, DAMAGE TO FRONT BUMPER $1000.00. SECOND ACCIDENT WAS MUCH MORE SERIOUS, THE VEHICLE WAS FORCED OFF THE ROAD AT 40 MPH AND INTO A DIRECT HEAD ON ACCIDENT WITH A TELEPHONE POLE. $15,000 DAMAGE AND BENT FRAME CARRIAGE MOTOR SUPPORT AND FRONT DRIVE AXLE. AGAIN NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT.

FIRST, I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND HIT THE BRAKES, WHEN THE VEHICLE LOCKED ALL THE BRAKES COMPLETELY, THE VEHICLE STARTED SKIDDING ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE I LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. A FEW WEEKS LATER, I WAS DRIVING UP THE HILL WHEN ALL THE DASH LIGHTS LIGHTED UP, I STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND TURNED IT OFF BUT THEY DID NOT WENT OFF . I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD TO REPLACE THE ABS MODULE (68067458AA) COSTING $215.00 PLUS $160 ON LABOR. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT A FEW CUSTOMERS ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. THE VEHICLE IS ALSO TURNING OFF THE HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT. RIGHT KNOW THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT. THE CHECK ENGINE CODE IS B162F, RIGHT LOW BEAM CONTROL. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER, THE TIPM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, IT COST AROUND $400. WHEN I LOOKED IN THE INTERNET, THERE ARE SEVERAL CASES OF THAT ISSUE SINCE 2010.IT CREATES A POSSIBLE HAZARD DRIVING AT NIGHT.

SYMPTOM WAS AIR BAG LIGHT SLOWLY FLASHING, SPECIFICALLY WHILE DRIVING. SOME OTHER SYMPTOMS FROM OTHERS ONLINE SPECIFY WHILE TURNING. DIAGNOSIS IS BAD CLOCK SPRING WITH REPAIRS NECESSARY. THIS HAS BEEN A DOCUMENTED ISSUE THAT CAUSED EXTENDED WARRANTY IN PAST YEARS' MODELS OF JEEP WRANGLER (2007) AND CAUSED A CHRYSLER ORDERED LETTER TO CUSTOMERS, BUT IT IS YET UNCOVERED IN OTHER YEARS, ALTHOUGH THERE IS DOCUMENTATION ONLINE OF THIS ISSUE BEING SEEN IN FUTURE YEARS' MODELS (INCLUDING MY 2010 MODEL).
WHEN FILLING UP WITH FUEL AT THE PUMP, THE AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF ON THE PUMP WILL CLICK OFF AND THEN A LARGE AMOUNT OF FUEL WILL COME SPILLING BACK OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND ONTO THE GROUND. IT DOES THIS AT ALMOST EVERY FILL UP REGARDLESS OF THE TEMPERATURE, PUMP OR GAS STATION USED.

THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES INTERMITTENTLY. THE PROBLEM OCCURS ANYTIME THE VEHICLE IS IN OPERATION. THE DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSIS AT MY COST AND FOUND THE CLOCK SPRING TO BE DEFECTIVE. SINCE THE VEHICLE HAS 99355 MILES THE WARRANTY WAS DECLINED. THE CASE NUMBER WAS 29098917.

APPARENTLY THERE ARE RECALLS ON THE RHD JEEP JK AND SEVERAL OTHER 2007 - 2010 MODEL YEARS. I BELIEVE THERE ARE SEVERAL MORE VEHICLES INVOLVED THAN WHAT THEY ARE CLAIMING AND MINE SHOULD BE ONE OF THEM. I AM WORRIED THE AIRBAG MAY NOT WORK WHEN IT NEEDS TO.

WHEN PUMPING GAS THE GAS DOES NOT CLICK OFF AND GAS SPITS OUT ALL OVER ME AND THE JEEP. I JUST PURCHASED THIS USED FROM A FORD DEALER. I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH MY DODGE DURANGO THAT HAD A RECALL BY CHRYSLER. I CHECKED AND THERE IS NO RECALL ON THE 2010 JEEP WRANGLER BUT HAVE RESEARCHED AND IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH JEEPS. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THEM BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. I FILLED UP AT DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS. I HAD OTHER PEOPLE PUMP THE GAS, INCLUDING THE MECHANIC FROM THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE JEEP AT. IT DID THE SAME THING EACH TIME. THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID IT IS TO NOT FILL UP WHICH DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE RIGHT HAND DRIVE WRANGLERS BUT NO THE LEFT HAND DRIVE. WHY IS THIS? THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT I THINK NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP.
YESTERDAY WHILE TRAVELING WITH MY 2 YOUNG GRANDCHILDREN, I EXPERIENCED SOMETHING KNOWN AS "DEATH WOBBLE", A VIOLENT VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END. IT HAPPENED 3 TIMES YESTERDAY AND TWICE TODAY. ALL TIMES I WAS TRAVELING ON A FREEWAY AT AROUND 55 MPH. IT BEGAN TO WOBBLE AS I ENTERED A CURVE IN THE ROAD. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO SLOW AND PULL TO THE SHOULDER EACH TIME. THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT STOP IS TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I'M ESPECIALLY CONCERNED BECAUSE THIS ALSO HAPPENED TO MY 2007 WRANGLER. WHY HAS JEEP NOT FIXED THIS PROBLEM? IT'S BOTH TERRIFYING AND EXPENSIVE TO FIX. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER JEEP.

CODES B162B AND B162F... LINKED TO THE TIPM. WHILE DRIVING THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER THEN TURN OFF. NO LOW BEAMS AND NO HIGH BEAMS. THE HEADLIGHTS REMAIN OFF AND WILL NOT TURN BACK ON. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS AT NIGHT AND IS DANGEROUS TO SELF AND OTHERS. NUMEROUS CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS.
LIKE MANY OTHERS THAT I HAVE SPOKEN WITH, I HAVE SEEN ON FORUMS, AND I HAVE SEEN ON SITES LIKE THIS, THE AIR BAG LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY CHIMES AND LIGHTS UP INDICATING THAT THE AIR BAG SYSTEM HAS MALFUNCTIONED AND WILL NOT DEPLOY IF NEEDED. I PREVIOUSLY HAD A 2008 JEEP WRANGLER, AND IT HAD THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. WHEN I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER, THEY TOLD ME THAT THE CLOCK SPRING REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. I HAVE OWNED 2 WRANGLERS AND BOTH OF THEM HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A COMMON ISSUE AND I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS CLOCK SPRING ISSUE IS COINCIDENCE. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR ALL 2007 MODELS AND FOR ALL RIGHT HAND DRIVE MODELS FROM 2008-2012. I BELIEVE THAT IT IS IMPERATIVE FOR PUBLIC SAFETY REASONS THAT AN INVESTIGATION BE PERFORMED TO CONSIDER REQUIRING JEEP TO ADDRESS THE REMAINDER OF THEIR FAULTY AIRBAG SYSTEMS.
AIRBAG LIGHT AND CHIME COMES ON AND OFF WHILE THE JEEP IS BEING DRIVEN. HORN STILL WORKS, CRUISE CONTROL STILL WORKS, DEALERSHIP REVIEWED AND DIAGNOSIS IS CLOCKSPRING IS CAUSING THE ISSUE. DEALERSHIP ALSO VERIFIED THAT WHEN THE LIGHT COMES ON AND CHIME, THE AIRBAGS ARE DISABLED. SINCE THE ONLY PART NOT WORKING IS THE AIRBAG SENSOR, SHOULDN'T THIS BE A SAFETY ISSUE AND COVERED BY CHRYSLER? CHRYSLER SAYS THAT IF THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE JEEP WAS UNDER WARRANTY IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED.

THE VEHICLE ALSO WAS TAKEN TO GET A FRONT END ALIGNMENT AND TIRES ROTATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000. THIS CONDITION GENERALLY OCCURS WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS FILLED TO THE FULL OR NEARLY FULL LEVEL AND THE GAS PUMP AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS OR CLICKS OFF. THE FUEL SPLASHES ON THE PERSON FUELING THE CAR, THE CAR ITSELF, AND ONTO THE GROUND. THIS HAPPENS REPEATEDLY, NOT JUST A SINGLE OCCURRENCE. HAVE TRIED DIFFERENT GAS PUMPS, SLOWING THE PUMP WHEN IT GETS TO ALMOST FULL, AND FINALLY NOW JUST NOT FILLING UP COMPLETELY DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS OF FUEL SPILLING ONTO GROUND/DRIVER/VEHICLE. DATE GIVEN IS MOST RECENT OCCURENCE, WHILE IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER 6 MONTHS.
