THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V234000 (POWER TRAIN , STEERING ) BUT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT DEALERS WERE RECEIVING ONE PART PER WEEK. THE CONTACT FELT THAT SINCE THE FAILURE WAS REPORTED IN JUNE OF 2013, THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A REMEDY AVAILABLE BEFORE FEBRUARY OF 2014. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE TIME FOR REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
SAFETY RECALL N28/NHTSA 13V-234. NOTIFIED THE DEALER 4 MONTHS AGO THAT I RECEIVED A RECALL. THEY HAVE ORDERED THE PART BUT STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. THEY STATE THAT CHRYSLER ONLY SHIPS THEM THE PARTS FOR ONE REPAIR A MONTH. IF THEY SOLD ONLY 12 JEEPS A MONTH OVER THE 2 YEARS THE RECALL SPANS THAT WILL TAKE THEM 288 YEARS TO GET ALL THE REPAIRS DONE. *TR
THERE IS A POWER TRAIN RECALL ON MY JEEP. THE DEALERSHIP CANT GET THE PART IN. WE GOT THE NOTICE IN THE SUMMER. HOW LONG DO THEY HAVE TO FIX THIS, AND WHAT STEPS CAN I TAKE NOW? MY CAR IS IN THE SHOP NOW FOR ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR. I ASKED THE SERVICE PERSON WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE PART IN QUESTION BROKE BEFORE IT WAS AVAILABLE AND SHE TOLD ME THAT CHRYSLER TOLD THE DEALERSHIPS TO "PUT A BANDAID ON IT"?? RIGHT HAND DRIVE SPORT UNLIMITED. CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO SET UNTIL AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED, CRUISE CONTROL REFUSED TO DISENGAGE WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. WINDSHIELD WIPERS INTERMITTENTLY TURN ON BY THEMSELVES. TURN SIGNALS TURN ON INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT DRIVER INPUT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING FROM OLYMPIA WA. TO MARYSVILLE WA. I TURNED ON THE VEHICLE DEFROSTER AND MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED. THERE IS A SMALL ROCK IMPACT TOWARD THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD AND THE CRACK EXTENDS FROM THERE. THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO SELL ME A $650.00 OR MORE REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD WHICH WILL NOT CRACK AND THE CHRYSLER CORP WILL NOT RETURN E-MAILS OR ASSIST OVER THE PHONE. I BELIEVE THEY ARE USING SUBSTANDARD WINDSHIELDS WHICH WILL CRACK UPON FIRST IMPACT WHERE OTHER VEHICLES WILL NOT. IT POSES AS A SAFETY ISSUE LIMITING VISIBILITY DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO RUN MY DEFROSTER. WHEN THE DEFROSTER IS RUN THE CRACK EXPANDS. THIS IS COMPLAINT RELATED TO SAFETY RECALL NOTICE N28/NHTSA 13V-234 (TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE). LAST YEAR I HAD RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE N28/NHTSA 13V-234 FROM CHRYSLER. AS INSTRUCTED IN RECALL NOTICE I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH DEALER- MAGNUSSENS DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP, LOCATED AT 1901 GRASS VALLEY HWY, AUBURN, CA 95603, PH (530)885-2900. ON 02/05/2014, I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN TO GET SAFETY RECALL REPAIRS DONE. MR. BRIAN EVANS #1028, WHO IS A SERVICE ADVISOR WITH MAGNUSSEN, STATED THEY DID NOT HAVE A REQUIRED PART. I FOUND THIS SITUATION RATHER STRANGE. TWO WEEKS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT I WAS REASSURED THAT PART WOULD BE THERE. SINCE I WAS ALREADY THERE WITH MY VEHICLE I BROUGHT TO HIS ATTENTION UNRELATED TO SAFETY RECALL NOTICE MECHANICAL ISSUE (POSSIBLE SQUEAKING BELT NOISE). AFTER INSPECTION OF MY 2013 JEEP WITH 10K ON ODOMETER, THEY TOLD ME THAT IT NEEDS A NEW WATER PUMP? THEY REPLACED, FREE OF CHARGE, A WATER PUMP (INVOICE 189828). THEY HOLD MY JEEP IN THEIR SHOP FOR TWO DAYS. COMMUNICATIONS WITH SERVICE ADVISOR/DEPARTMENT WERE HORRIBLE. I HAVE TO SPEND SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME JUST TO LOCATE AND CONTACT THEIR SERVICE MANAGER IN ORDER TO KNOW WHEN MY VEHICLE WILL BE READY FOR PICK UP. WHEN I FINALLY PICKED MY JEEP UP ON 02/07/2014 [XXX]. TOLD ME AGAIN THAT REQUIRED TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE WOULD BE THERE SOON. HE PROMISED THIS REPLACEMENT PART ??WILL BE RESERVED FOR MY VEHICLE?? AND HE WILL CONTACT ME AS SOON AS HE GETS IT??. HERE WE ARE IN THE BEGINNING OF MONTH MAY?. I AM STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM MAGNUSSENS DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP. ALL MY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT SAID SERVICE ADVISOR WENT NOWHERE. MOREOVER, THANKS TO MAGNUSSENS I AM DRIVING THIS UNSAFE JEEP EVERY DAY. VEHICLE TRAVELLING DOWN CURVED HIGHWAY RAMP, INEXPLICABLY LOST CONTROL, HIT THE JERSEY BARRIER, WENT OVER THE JERSEY BARRIER AND CRASHED INTO THE ABUTMENT OF THE OVERPASS BRIDGE AND THEN FLIPPED OVER BURSTING INTO FLAMES. RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL NOTICE N28 / NHTSA 13V-234 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE WHICH AFFECTS SOME 2012 AND 2013 JEEP WRANGLER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I CONTACTED OUR JEEP DEALER RIGHT AWAY AND THE RESPONSE I RECEIVED FROM THEM WAS THERE IS A NATIONAL BACKORDER ON THE PART IN QUESTION AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE. I HAD THEM PLACE ME ON A LIST THAT EXTENDED INTO 2015 FOR REPLACEMENT WHEN AND IF THEY GET THE PART. *TR
SITTING IN VEHICLE AND HEARD A LOUD POP FROM FRONT WINDSHIELD. NOTICED A CRACK NEAR BOTTOM OF FRONT WINDSHIELD WHICH CONTINUED TO GROW IN LENGTH. VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AND NOT MOVING AT TIME OF OCCURRENCE. HEAT WAS ON IN THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS VERY COLD OUTSIDE. I HAVE READ MULTIPLE COMMENTS IN FORUMS REGARDING THE SAME SITUATION. *TR
NO INCIDENT ON THE ROAD AS OCCURRED. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE STATING THERE IS A DEFECT RELATED TO THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE WHICH MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF CRASH. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER (QUIRK) WHERE I PURCHASED MY JEEP (BRAND NEW) ON TWO OCCASIONS. BOTH TIMES THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE IS A LONG WAIT FOR THE PART TO BE ORDERED OR MADE AND WOULD NOT TAKE ACTION TO HELP PROVIDE A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE. DEALER HAS STATED THAT CHRYSLER ONLY MAKES ONE PART EVERY TWO WEEKS. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN WAITING FOR A CRASH TO HAPPEN BUT RATHER HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED SAFELY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM HOWEVER, DECLINED TO PROVIDE PART AVAILABILITY INFORMATION TO THE CONTACT. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS EXHIBITING AN ABNORMAL REDUCTION IN TRANSMISSION POWER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60.
I HAVE RECEIVED SAFETY RECALLS BACK TO JANUARY OF THIS YEAR ON GETTING A TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE ON THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP EVERY TIME AND MULTIPLE TIMES BETWEEN NOTICES. I WAS PUT ON A LONG WAITING LIST. DURING THE PAST ALMOST 7 MONTHS ONE TIME THEY DID HAVE THE PART AND DID SCHEDULE ME FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT REPAIRED BUT I HAD TO MISS THE APPOINTMENT DUE TO ANOTHER CONFLICT. I CALLED RIGHT AWAY TO RESCHEDULE AND THEY INFORMED ME THEY WOULD HAVE TO USE THE PART ON ANOTHER JEEP THEN. THAT WAS OVER 2 MONTHS AGO WHEN THEY THEN TOLD ME I WAS NUMBER 6 ON THE LIST AND IT WOULD BE ABOUT 2 WEEKS NOT 2 MONTHS. THIS IS THE EGOLF DEALERSHIP IN HENDERSONVILLE, NC. *TR

WE RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE ON 1/9/14 (N28) THAT OUR TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I CALLED OUR DEALER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND BE SURE THAT THE PART WAS AVAILABLE. I HEARD BACK FROM THE DEALER THAT THE REPLACEMENT TUBE WAS ON BACK ORDER, THAT CHRYSLER WAS SENDING THE PARTS TO DEALERS IN BATCHES EVERY THREE WEEKS, THAT I WAS NOW ON A WAITING LIST, AND IT COULD TAKE MONTHS BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO HAVE THE RECALL REPAIR COMPLETED, AS CHRYSLER WAS NOT PROVIDING THE PART TO ITS DEALERS FAST ENOUGH. I WAS TOLD TO CALL BACK EVERY THREE WEEKS TO FIND OUT MY WAIT LIST STATUS. WHEN I ASKED WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT BEFORE THE REPAIR, THE GENTLEMAN ON THE PHONE SAID THAT I COULD SUE CHRYSLER! IF THE NHTSA HAS REQUIRED A RECALL BY CHRYSLER, CHRYSLER NEEDS TO MAKE THESE PARTS AVAILABLE QUICKLY AND, IF I JUST RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE, HOW CAN THERE BE A WAITING LIST FOR THE PART AT MY DEALER? *TR

I RECEIVED A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE FOR THE ABOVE VEHICLE. THE PARTS ARE ON RESTRICTION AND AS A RESULT CAN ONLY BE ORDERED EVERY 16 DAYS. THEY TYPICAL WAITING LIST IS 10 TO 15 PEOPLE WHICH MEANS I WILL BE WAITING AT LEAST 160 DAYS FOR THIS REPAIR. THE RECALL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BEGAN IN JUNE 2013. THE COMPANY HAS HAD 6 MONTHS TO STOCKPILE THE PARTS NECESSARY TO MAKE REPAIR RATHER THAN SEND OUT THE NOTICE AND THEN FORCE CUSTOMERS TO WAIT 6 MONTHS, POSSIBLY WITH A FAULTY VEHICLE, FOR THE REPAIR. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. *TR

I PURCHASED A WRANGLER JEEP SPORT IN 2013 AND HAVE HAD TWO FLATS. IT CAME WITH WRANGLER GOODYEAR 255 75 17 IN TIRES. THE FIRST FLAT I EXPERIENCED WAS SIX MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THE JEEP AND IT WAS THE SIDEWALL AND COULD NOT BE FIXED. NOW SIX MONTHS LATER ANOTHER TIRE HAS WENT FLAT AND IT IS ALSO THE SIDEWALL. THIS JEEP HAS LESS THAN 28,000 MILES ON THIS TIRE AND ONLY 15,000 ON THE FIRST TIRE. THESE TIRES COST 290.00 A PIECE, I MEAN REALLY. WHO CAN AFFORD TO CONTINUE PURCHASING TIRES AT THIS COST EVERY SIX MONTHS WHEN THE TIRE IS RATED AT 50,000 MILES. NOW EVERYONE I CALLED SAY ITS NOT UNDER WARRANTY OR NO RECALL BUT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THESE TIRES FOR THE SIDEWALLS TO KEEP HAVING FLATS. AND IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN THIS IS AN OFF ROAD VEHICLE ISN'T IT, NOT THAT I'VE EVEN TAKEN IT OFF ROAD.
