ALL FOUR BRAKE ROTORS SEIZED UP. TRAVELING FROM WORK ON SECONDARY ROADS AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 30 AND 45 MPH. I WAS SMELLING HOT BRAKES. WHEN TRYING TO STOP THE JEEP PULLED HARD TO THE RIGHT, ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLY. WHEN I GOT HOME I TOUCHED THE WHEELS AND ALL WERE SUPER HOT TO THE TOUCH. HAD THE VEHICLE BROUGHT IN FOR REPAIR. SERVICE REPORTED ALL FOUR CALIPERS SHOW SIGNS OF BEING SEIZED UP. PADS AND ROTORS SHOW DAMAGE FROM OVERHEATING. NEEDED TO REPLACE ALL FOUR ROTORS, CALIPERS AND PADS.
The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle was running rough. Additionally, while the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle was slow to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the caliper had seized, and that the ball joint and K-bar needed to be replaced. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
MY JEEP STARTED SMOKING SMELT A BADD OIL BURNING SMELL AND ALMOST CAUGHT ON FIRE WHEN I FINALLY GOT STOPPED LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD AND I COULD SEE OIL FLOATING ON TOP OF THE ENGINE EVERYWHERE AND GOING ALL DOWN THE BACK OF THE TRANSMISSION LOOKS LIKE A PART OR SOMETHING MAY HAVE A CRACK IN IT CAN'T REALLY TELL OIL IS ALL OVER THE UNDER CARRIAGE ALL THE WAY TO THE REAR END HAS GOT ALL OVER THE BRAKES HAD TROUBLES AND ISSUES WITH ITS SLOWING DOWN WITHOUT IT SMELLING LIKE AN OIL FIRE AND SMOKE POURING OUT OF THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY
I PURCHASED A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER FROM TALLAHASSEE DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP IN TALLAHASSEE, FL WITH 8+ YEAR OLD TIRES. THEY ARE DRY ROTTED. I HAVE ORDERED NEW TIRES BUT I KNOW THE DOT SAYS TIRES SHOULD NOT BE ON THE ROAD AFTER 5 YEARS. I HAD AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THE TIRES I AM THANKFUL I DID NOT HURT ANYONE ELSE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PLANET CHRYSLER/JEEP (400 E CENTRAL ST, FRANKLIN, MA 02038), WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HEATER CORE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE HOSES UNCLOGGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: 24-002-14 (EQUIPMENT). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,300. *BF*JB
VEHICLE HAS JUST OVER 65K MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED PROPERLY WITH REGULAR OIL CHANGES. TICKING NOISE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE. TURNED OUT THE LIFTERS AND CAM SHAFT HAD FAILED. REPLACED BY DEALER AT A TOTAL COST OF JUST OVER $2400. BASED ON NUMEROUS JEEP FORUM VISITS AND RESEARCH, THIS IS A PART DEFECT IN THE CAM LIFTER AND IS EPIDEMIC. FCA IS REQUIRING OWNERS TO PAY FOR THEIR POOR QUALITY PARTS BEING INSTALLED IN THEIR 3.6L PENTASTAR ENGINES. HAVE FCA ISSUE A RECALL AND REIMBURSE THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN CHARGED TO REPLACE THEIR FAULTY PARTS.
MY JEEP SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING ON CITY ROADS AND GOING UP HILLS WITH OTHER VEHICLES PRESENT, NO CODES SHOW UP, DASH LIGHTS TURN RED WHEN VEHICLE IS OFF, MY JEEP MAKES FUNNY NOISES WHEN TURNED OFF, TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP OVER 3 MONTHS SINCE I BOUGHT IT 3 MONTHS AGO AND THEY CAN'T FIX IT. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. THEY'VE TIRED EVERYTHING AND STILL NOTHING. IT'S GOING BACK IN AGAIN BECAUSE IT SHUT OFF ON ME GOING UP A HILL. THIS JEEP IS NOW BECOMING DANGEROUS TO MYSELF. YET THE JEEP STILL ISN'T GIVING CODES. I HAD TO GO BUY A CAR SCAN DEVICE PLUG IT IN AND RECORD DATA OF WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE JEEP SO THAT THE DEALERSHIP CAN SEE. DO I HAVE TO GO OFF A CLIFF OR GET INTO A REALLY BAD ACCIDENT BEFORE THIS PROBLEM IS FOUND OR FIXED. I'VE ONLY HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR 3 MONTHS. I BOUGHT IT ON FEBRUARY 21,2020 AND IT STARTED ACTING UP ON FEBRUARY 28,2020 AND STILL IS ON MAY 16, 2020 AND IT IS BECOMING A NIGHTMARE. I'M SPENDING MONEY TO GET IT FIXED BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING ME BECAUSE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER IT. I WAS TOLD WHEN I BOUGHT IT THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT BUT THAT WAS A LIE. I NEED HELP FIGURE THIS OUT. THE DEALERSHIP DIDN'T MAKE SURE THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS SAFELY OPERATIONAL BEFORE SELLING IT. IT OVER HEATED BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T CHECK FLUID. MY HEATED SEATS WERE BURNT OUT. MY DASH LIGHTS FLICKER ON AND OFF. THEY REPLACED SOMETHING BEHIND MY DASH BUT IT DIDN'T FIX THE ISSUE. I THINK IT MADE IT WORSE. AS OF RIGHT NOW MY JEEP SHUTS UP AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK WHICH PUTS ME IN A DANGEROUS POSITION BECAUSE I GET STUCK EITHER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SITTING SIDEWAYS OR ALMOST OFF OF A CLIFF OR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH NOWHERE TO GO BECAUSE I HAVE NO POWER STEERING THE JEEP DOES IT START BACK UP FOR ANYWHERE BETWEEN 5 TO 15 MINUTES.
LEAK WHEN IT RAINS.. GUESSING SEAL ON DOOR
For the past 2 years my Jeep has been stalling a lot, have taken it to 2 mechanics and 2 times to the dealer. None of them know what’s going on because there’s no light coming on, except for the first time it happened the ETC light came on but went away a few minutes later.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO 20 MPH AND LOSS MOTIVE POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL PEPBOYS TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER NUMBER 6. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT SIMILAR VEHICLES WERE INCLUDED IN A MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATIONS NUMBER: 10139897 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) WARRANTY HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. FIVE STAR CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF MACON LOCATED AT (3068 RIVERSIDE DR, MACON, GA 31210, (478)345-8899) CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE WARRANTY COVERAGE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER STARTED HAVING A CODE THAT READ "MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 6" AT ABOUT 55,000 MILES. AFTER CHANGING THE SPARK PLUGS AND IGNITION COILS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BANK OF CYLINDERS (2,4,AND 6) THE TROUBLE CODE STILL CONTINUED TO POP UP ABOUT EVERY WEEK OR TWO. I THEN TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL JEEP, CHRYSLER, RAM DEALER TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I FOUND OUT THAT THE CYLINDER HEADS ON THE PENTASTAR ENGINE IN THE 2012 AND 2013 JEEP WRANGLERS WERE HAVE MANY, MANY ISSUES WITH THE BAD CYLINDER HEADS BECAUSE OF THERE WAS TWO DIFFERENT METALS USED BETWEEN THE ENGINE BLOCK AND THE CYLINDER HEAD CAUSING IT TO WARP AND CAUSE COMPRESSION ISSUES IN THE CYLINDER. JEEP WAS WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BUT REFUSED TO THIS DAY TO ISSUE A RECALL. AFTER THE DEALER TOOK THE ENGINE APART TO INVESTIGATE, HE ADMITTED TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS A BAD CYLINDER HEAD. THIS MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 6 OCCURRED MOSTLY WHEN IDLING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR AT VERY LOW SPEEDS. THE KICKER IN ALL OF THIS EVEN THOUGH JEEP ADMITTED A FAULTY CYLINDER HEAD WAS THE CAUSE OF THE LOSS OF COMPRESSION, THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE THE CYLINDER HEAD AT THEIR COST. BECAUSE JEEP DID NOT HAVE MY VIN NUMBER IN THEIR LIST TO BE REPAIRED, IT WAS UP TO ME TO PICK UP THE COST. I DID NOTHING IN THE TIME THAT I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE (ORIGINAL OWNER) TO MAKE A CYLINDER HEAD BECOME WARPED. THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE PENTASTAR ENGINE FROM THE BEGINNING. TOO BAD JEEP DOESN'T DO THE RIGHT THING AND REPAIR THESE PENTASTAR ENGINE ISSUES AT THEIR EXPENSE RATHER THAN HEAPING MORE RESPONSIBILITY ON THE CONSUMER. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON A COLD NIGHT WITH NO OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD, MY WINDSHIELD SUDDENLY CRACKED. I HAD THE DEFROSTER ON. I'VE READ ABOUT HUNDREDS OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE WITH THEIR JEEPS. IT'S AN ISSUE AND THEY DON'T WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT.
HAD TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG CLOCK SPRING AS THE LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH AND THERE'S A RECALL ON SOME BUT NOT ALL??

The local dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not covered under a recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V680000 (Seat Belts). The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 220,000.
THE OIL FILTER HOUSING/COOLING ASSEMBLY IS PLASTIC, CHEAP, AND LOCATED RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENGINE. MINE, ALONG WITH MANY OTHER JEEPS OF THIS MAKE AND MODEL HAVE THEM FAIL WELL UNDER 30,000 MILES. THIS CAUSES MASSIVE ENGINE OIL LOSS WHICH IN TURN CAUSES ENGINE DAMAGE. THIS IS A HUGE RIP OFF CONSIDERING THE PART COSTS ~$500. CHRYSLER SHOULD FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY ON ALL JEEPS.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN EXAMINING THE VEHICLE THEY NOTICED THAT THERE WAS AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL ALL OVER THE MOTOR. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A FRACTURE OIL FILTER HOUSING AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
HEATER CORE CLOGGED. HEATER BLOWS WARM ON PASSENGER SIDE, WORKING ACROSS DASH HEAT HETS COLDER AS IT COMES ACROSS TO DRIVERS SIDE, DRIVER SIDE BLOWS EXTREMELY COLD. DEFROST BLOWS COLD. FROM WHAT I'VE READ IN JEEP FORUMS THOUSANDS OF JEEP OWNERS ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. HEATER CORE IS GETTING CLOGGED AND AFFECTING THE HEAT OUTPUT OF JEEP. OUR JEEP HAS ROUGHLY 112000 MILES ON AND WE HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM SINCE THE JEEP HAS HAD AROUND 50000 MILES. JEEP WOULD NOT COVER UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE WE WERE OVER 36000 MILES. I HAVE BLEW OUT HEATER CORE FLUSHING IT. THAT HELPS ALITTLE BIT BUT HEAT IS STILL NO WERE AS HOT AS IT SHOULD BE. REPLACING HEATER CORE INVOLVES PULLING ENTIRE DASH OUT OR CUTTING DASH SUPPORTS TO REMOVE HEATER CORE TO REPLACE JUST TO HAVE NEW HEATER CORE CLOG AGAIN. SOMETHING IN SYSTEM IS CAUSING HEATER CORES IN THESE JEEPS TO CLOGG ULTIMATELY CAUSING HEAT AND DEFROST NOT TO WORK AND BLOW COLD AIR.
WHEN VEHICLE HITS A BUMP, IT VIBRATES SO DRIVER IS UNABLE TO CONTROL VEHICLE UNTIL IT IS BROUGHT TO A COMPLETE STOP. INVESTIGATION ONLINE POINTS TO "DEATH WOBBLE" AS DESCRIBED BY OTHER JEEP OWNERS. HAPPENS ON BOTH CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY. TOOK TO LOCAL JEEP DEALERSHIP, REPLACED BALL JOINTS, HAPPENED AGAIN A WEEK LATER. CALLED DEALERSHIP AGAIN, THEY DON'T SEEM TO HAVE AN ANSWER FOR US. LITERALLY AFRAID TO DRIVE VEHICLE WITHOUT A DEFINITE FIX OR ANSWER.
FAILURE OF OIL COOLER HOUSING, NOTICED OIL BURNING SMELL LOOKED UNDER THE JEEP AND SAW OIL EVERYWHERE
CAR SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING AND SEEMS TO KICK A LOT GOING FROM GEAR TO GEAR.
ALL POWER WAS LOST WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT 65 MPH. LOST POWER STEERING AND THE ENGINE DIED. THERE WAS NO WARNING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. AFTER TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE AND PARKING IN A GARAGE FOR 10 MINUTES THE TIPM STARTED SMOKING, WIPERS AND LIGHTS WENT ON AND HORN STARTED BLOWING AND CAUGHT FIRE. THIS OCCURED APPROXIMATELY 5 PM.
THE 3.6 ENGINE HAS DEVELOPED A TICK FROM INAD ROCKER ARMS. THE ARMS ARE KNOWN TO BE FAULTY AND MANY VEHICLES HAVE STALLED AT HIGH SPEEDS DUE TO THE ISSUE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED
REOCCURRING CLOGGING OF THE ENGINE COOLANT SYSTEM, CAUSING VERY LOW HEAT AVAILABLE FOR DEFROSTING OF THE WINDSHIELD IN BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES. I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS MODEL OF JEEP WRANGLER. EFFECT IS AT ITS WORST DURING CITY DRIVING
THE GAS CAP NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. THE DEALER HAS REPLACED IT SEVERAL TIMES AND THE LIGHT STILL COMES ON. THE SEAT BELT IS A RECALL, BUT YET THEY HAVE NO PARTS TO FIX IT. RHD JEEP'S ONLY.
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, RANGING FROM 50-65 MPH, IF I TAKE A TURN THAT HAS A BUMP OR AM ON A STRAIGHTAWAY AND HIT A BUMP THE ENTIRE CAR STARTS TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE, THE STEERING WHEEL JERKS LEFT AND RIGHT AND IT FEEL LIKE THE FRONT TIRES ARE FISHTAILING. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS VIOLENT OSCILLATION IS TO SLOW THE CAR DOWN TO UNDER 45 MPH WHICH CAN BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO DO ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE TALKED WITH A COUPLE OF MECHANICS AND A JEEP DEALERSHIP AND NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THE "DEATH WOBBLE". THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND WITHOUT WARNING SO I DO NOT RECALL WHEN IT LAST HAPPENED. THEREFORE, I AM CHOOSING TODAY'S DATE IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE FORM. I AM ALSO UNSURE OF THE EXACT MILEAGE ON MY CAR WHEN THIS HAPPENED SINCE IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2013. I ENTERED THE APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF MILES ON THE CAR WHEN I REMEMBER THE DEATH WOBBLE FIRST OCCURRING.
THE HARD TOP LEAKS WHEN IT RAINS!! SEEM THERE IS A ENGINEERING PROBLEM WITH THE PANELS AND OR SEALS. SPENT EXTRA MONEY FOR THE HARD TOP THINKING IT WAS BETTER THAT THE CANVASS TOP, REALLY DISAPPOINTED TO HAVE A BRAND NEW VEHICLE THAT LEAKS WATER INTO THE INTERIOR. CAN'T BE GOOD FOR THE ELECTRONICS AND OVERALL INTEGRITY OF THE INTERIOR OF THIS VEHICLE!!

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 98,000.
ENGINE DOES WHEN GOING INTO REVERSE AND SURGES WHEN DRIVING AT LOW THROTLE
CHANGED SPARK PLUGS ON JEEP, WHEN DONE TURNED IT ON. VEHICLE STAYED RUNNING FOR 5 SECS AND SHUT OFF. DID THAT 3 TIMES, THEN NEVER TURNED BACK ON. LIGHTS, LOCKS, AND ALARM WORKED FINE. VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AT ALL. PUT IN A NEW BATTERY AND WOULDN'T TURN ON. LEFT SITTING FOR A DAY. CHECKED IT AGAIN THE NEXT DAY, BATTERY WAS HOT AND CABLES WERE MELTING ON IT. TOWED IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP. SAID IT WAS TIPM . ORDERED A NEW ONE. AND JEEP STILL WILL NOT TURN ON. JEEP HAS BEEN AT A REPAIR SHOP FOR 3 MONTHS WITH NO SOLUTIONS YET. BILL IS RACKING UP JUST TRYING TO GET IT RUNNING.REPAIR SHOP HAS CHECKED EVERYTHING AND STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TIPM.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE CLOCKSPRING WAS REPLACED TODAY IN MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. RECALL ENDED IN YEAR 2010
THE VEHICLE KEEPS LOSING POWER AT THE MOST INOPPORTUNE TIMES (PASSING A VEHICLE; IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE WITH NO SHOULDER; ON A HIGHWAY). I HAVE ALMOST GOTTEN INTO 4 ACCIDENTS B/C OF THIS PROBLEM. WHENEVER THE VEHICLE GOES FASTER THAN 70 MPH...POWER IS LOST. IT CONTINUALLY THROWS OFF A CODE OF 0369. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE FOLLOWING TO TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEM: REPLACED ABS SYSTEM; REPLACED STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM; REPLACED OIL FILTER HOUSING; REPLACED THE CAM TWICE; SWAPPED THE CAM; REPLACED THE CAM PHASER; REPLACED ALL 4 CAM PHASERS; RE-FLASHED THE PCM; REPLACED THE PCM. TODAY IT GOES IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE 10TH TIME TO TRY TO GET IT FIXED. IT IS A DEATH TRAP TO ALL THAT SHARE THE ROAD WITH IT, NOT TO MENTION EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE. IT HAS NEVER BEEN OFF-ROADED AND IS WELL MAINTAINED.
THE TIPS MODULE FAILED HAVE ONLY ONE HEADLIGHT BEEN STOPPED BY POLICEMEN FOR UNSAFE VEHICLE. MUST BE REPLACED COST FOR PART IS 1;400.00 DOLLARS NOT INCLUDING LABOR.HAVE BEEN TOLD BY DEALER THAT THIS IS COMMON FAILURE PART MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINED THAT THE HAVE TO PAY FOR A PART THAT CONTROLS ALL THE ELECTRICAL FOR THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. JEEP SHOULD RECALL THIS FOR REPAIRS. VERY SAD PEOPLE HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS JEEP SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. THANK YOU.

DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE MY HOOD SHAKES AND FLUTTERS. LOOKS LIKE IT IS ABOUT TO FLY OPEN. SCARED TO DRIVE PAST TRUCKS (SEMIS) BECAUSE OF DAMAGE IT MAY CAUSE
THE HOOD LATCHES DO NOT PREVENT THE HOOD FROM FLUTTERING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THE HOOD LATCHES MAY FAIL AT ANY MOMENT.
MY JEEP HAS BEEN TO FOUR DIFFERENT DEALERS AND I AM STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUES WITH IT AS I DID WHEN I BOUGHT IT ONE YEAR AGO. THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND POWER IS LOST WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THE VEHICLE IS USUALLY IN MOTION WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC WHO SAID IT SEEMED TO JUST BE A SENSOR. THEN I WENT TO START IT ONE NIGHT AFTER WORK AND IT WOULDN'T START. SO I HAD TO CALL AAA AND THEY SAID MAYBE BATTERY. SO REPLACE BATTERY AND NOW AGAIN, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND IT STRUGGLES TO START AND JERKS WHILE DRIVING. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN.

THE AIRBAG CLOCK SPRING IS NOT WORKING. I'VE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS JEEP. IT'S BECOMING TOO EXPENSIVE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS PLUS AN EXPENSIVE CAR NOTE. THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST EXPENSIVE CAR I HAD AND HAD GIVEN ME MORE REPAIR PROBLEMS THEN ANY OTHER VEHICLE.
STARTING ISSUES: THE IGNITION WILL NOT START THE ENGINE, NO LIGHTS COME ON, THE BATTERY IS CONNECTED FINE AND I HAD IT CHECKED (GOOD). THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES SINCE APRIL, AND TODAY IS THE MOST RECENT. MY JEEP HAS BEEN PARKED IN MY GARAGE SINCE THURSDAY EVENING AND IT WOULD NOT START TODAY (6/30/19).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE PARKING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, BUT THE VEHICLE KEPT RUNNING. THE CONTACT DISCONNECTED THE CABLES FROM THE BATTERY TO FINALLY STOP THE ENGINE FROM RUNNING. THE VEHICLE WAS RECONNECTED TO THE BATTERY AND THE CONTACT DROVE HOME. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO PARK THE VEHICLE, THE FAILURE RECURRED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE KEPT RUNNING EVEN WITH THE CABLES UNHOOKED. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL FUSE NUMBERS 10 AND 12 BEFORE THE VEHICLE FINALLY SHUT OFF. ALL AMERICAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT OF SAN ANGELO (4310 SHERWOOD WAY, SAN ANGELO, TX 76901, (866) 575-2743) STATED THAT THE FAILURE MAY BE DUE TO THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING IN THE VEHICLE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS CONTACTED AND SUGGESTED TO BRING A NEW IGNITION SWITCH IN; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE FAILURE ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THE FAILURE WAS OCCURRING ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,100. *BF *AS
CLOCKSPRING RECALL: OTHER YEAR MODELS OF THE SAME GENERATION WRANGLER SHOW A CLOCKSPRING RECALL, BUT MY YEAR MODEL DOESN'T. MY CLOCKSPRING HAS FAILED NOW AND I LOST MOST OF THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, INCLUDING MY SAFETY HORN, AND IF MY RESEARCH IS CORRECT, MY DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY NOW IF IN A COLLISION ACCIDENT. WHEN TURNING MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD TURN ON RANDOMLY, AND THEN WHEN DRIVING SHORTLY AFTERWARDS I WENT TO HONK AT ANIMALS IN THE ROAD AND THE HORN DID NOT WORK. THE NEXT DAY I NOTICED THAT THE RADIO AND DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT WORK EITHER.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HENDRICK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM DULUTH (2473 PLEASANT HILL RD, DULUTH, GA 30096, (678) 369-6704) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ROCKERS AND BEARINGS WERE FAULTY. THE DEALER ASSUMED THAT THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE CAM SHAFT AND WOULD NEED TO TAKE APART THE ENGINE TO CONFIRM. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.

I UNDERSTAND THAT THE NEXT YEARS MODEL HAD A RECAP FOR THE 2014 MODEL FOR THE TPM CONTROL MODULE. IT SEEMS TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2013 YEAR MODEL. THE WARNING LIGHT KEEPS ALERTING DESPITE THE SENSORS ARE ALL FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AND TIRE PRESSURE CHECKED.
UNABLE TO GET A RECALL REPAIRED (P61) BECAUSE OF THE FRAUDULENT ACTIONS OF CALIFORNIA SUPERSTORES VALENCIA CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM IN VALENCIA, CALIFORNIA (661) 379-7709. DEALER FALSELY SUBMITTED THAT THE RECALL WAS COMPLETED IN 2015 THUS REMOVING MY VEHICLE FROM FURTHER SAFETY NOTIFICATIONS REGARDING THIS RECALL. VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN TO CALIFORNIA WHICH THE CHRYSLER JEEP CORPORATION SHOULD BE ABLE TO VERIFY USING THE ONSTAR SYSTEM INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE. ALL OF THIS WAS DISCOVERED WHILE TRYING TO GET THE TAKATA RECALL COMPLETED ON VEHICLE.
AFTER SITTING IDLE ALL NIGHT, STARTED VEHICLE IN MORNING AND ABS AND ESC LIGHTS CAME ON. I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE AS THE REAR BRAKES WERE BEING ENGAGED BY A FAULTY SENSOR. I SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND BACK TO DRIVE AND LIGHTS WENT OUT AND BACK TO NORMAL OPERATION. I PULLED OUT ONTO THE MAIN THOROUGHFARE AND THE JEEP STUTTERED UPON ACCELERATION AND FELT LIKE IT WAS LOSING POWER BEFORE IT STOPPED. BOTH LIGHTS CAME BACK ON. AFTER SHIFTING BACK TO NEUTRAL, I WAS ABLE TO GET BACK ONTO THE STREET AND TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS CONDITION OCCURRED IN THIS VEHICLE. IN JULY OF 2016 THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WAS REPLACED BY FITZGERALD JEEP IN CLEARWATER. CODES C1035 AND C1049 WERE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE REPAIR. THIS FAULTY SENSOR COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES, AT BEST, OR A FATALITY/FATALITIES AT WORST. THE COMPUTER PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS A FAULTY SENSOR TO OVERRIDE THE DRIVERS ACTION IS A MALFUNCTION THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
