MY HORN AND BUTTONS ON THE FRONT AND BACK OF MY STEERING WHEEL HAVE BEEN OUT FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW BECAUSE I NEED MY CLOCK SPRING CHANGED. BUT COURTESY OF BREAUX BRIDGE WILL NOT CHANGE IT UNDER THE RECALL BC I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND/OR MY AIR BAG LIGHT IS NOT ON OR I DO NOT HAVE " ENOUGH WARNING SIGNS" PER RECALL. EVEN THOUGH THE RECALL IS GOOD FOR 1MILLION MILES. THEY WOULD RATHER ME PAY $650. I EVEN CALLED CHRYSLER. *TR
WHILE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED ON THE HIGHWAY AT ROUGHLY 80MPH, THE CRUISE CONTROL KICKS OFF. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISPLAYS AND THE ESC LIGHT COMES ON. VEHICLE LOSES POWER AND DECELERATES ON ITS OWN. HAVE TO FLOOR THE GAS PEDAL TO KEEP THE VEHICLE MOVING. EXPERIENCES MOMENTARY BURSTS OF SPEED BUT THEN SPEED DECLINES AGAIN ALTHOUGH THE GAS PEDAL IS STILL PRESSED TO THE FLOOR. I BELIEVE THIS IS ATTRIBUTED TO THE CLOCKSPRING ASSEMBLY BUT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. CAN MY VIN BE ADDED SO I CAN GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVED?
ENGINE BEGAN MAKING TICKING NOISE FROM ENGINE BAY AT ABOUT 77,000 MILES. JEEP HAS BEEN SERVICED AS REQUIRED WITH QUALITY SYNTHETIC OIL AND FILTERS SINCE NEW. DONE MORE OFTEN THAN JEEP REQUIRES. TOOK TO DEALER WHO AGREED IT WAS MAKING NOISE AND NEEDED FIXED. WHEN VALVE COVERS WERE REMOVED THEY FOUND ROCKER ARMS BAD ON 2 CYLINDERS AND TAPPETS COLLAPSED ON 3 CYLINDERS. SERVICE MANAGER SAID THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS ABOUT. THEY HAVE A STAR CASE BULLETIN, # S1309000016 PUBLISHED ABOUT THIS. SAID THEY ARE DOING SEVERAL OF THE PENTASTAR V6 ENGINES A MONTH. THIS IS A ENGINE THAT IS USED IN MINI VANS, CHARGERS, CHALLENGERS, 200'S AND 300'S, MAYBE OTHERS. HAPPENING IN ALL OF THESE VEHICLES. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND CHRYSLER SHOULD HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS. ROCKER ARM BEARINGS NOT HARDENED CORRECTLY IS WHAT THEY TOLD ME. BEING OUT OF WARRANTY, I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO FIX THIS.
I WAS DRIVING WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE JEEP TO A DENTAL APPOINTMENT DRIVING 45 MILES PER HOUR. I HEAR A CLING CLUNK SOUND AND ABS LIGHT COMES ON AND THEN A LOUD BANG AND JEEP DOES NOT WANT TO GO. I PULLED OVER RIGHT AWAY I SMELL A AWFUL SMELL. SO I SHUT MY TRUCK OFF. CALLED MY HUSBAND AND LEAVE MY TRUCK AND GET A RIDE TO DENTAL APPOINTMENT. WE CALLED A TOW TRUCK NEXT DAY TO HAVE IT TOWED TO AUTO REPAIR SHOP. I GET A CALL TWO DAYS LATER STATING MY EMERGENCY BREAK SYSTEM HAD FAULTED AND ENGAGED IT'S SELF SNAPPING MY AXEL, SPEED SENSOR AND BREAK ROTOR. ALL OF THESE THINGS WERE RIPPED AND EVERYTHING WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO EMERGENCY BREAK SYSTEM FAILURE. IF I HAD BEEN GOING ON THE HIGH WAY AT HIGH WAY SPEEDS I COULD HAVE FLIPPED MY VEHICLE WITH ME AND MY CHILDREN. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BY THE MANUFACTURER DO TO IT BEING FAULTY EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM.
MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER ENGINE SHUTS DOWN VERY INTERMITTENTLY WHEN DRIVING AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS AND CITY SPEEDS, IT HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES, LEAVING ME WITH NO POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES, I FIND THIS A SAFTY HAZZARD... IT'S BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOUR TIMES WITHOUT ANYTHING RESOLVED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE AS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A TUNE UP AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO OPERATE NORMALLY. DESPITE THE REPAIR, THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO REOCCUR, THE MOST RECENT TIME THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE CYLINDER ASSIST HAD MISFIRED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE AIR BAG AND THAT THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL PLACED ON THE VEHICLE FOR HER FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT FIVE STAR CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF MACON 3068 RIVERSIDE DR, MACON, GA 31210 WHERE THEY INFORMED HER THAT THE ONLY RECALL ON THE VEHICLE WAS FOR THE AIR BAG. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,457.
THE JEEP WAS STOPPED AND TURNED OFF FOR OVER 2 HOURS. THE PLUG ON THE ELECTRONIC SWAY BAR STARTED SMOKING AND THEN CAUGHT FIRE. LUCKILY I WASN'T TOO FAR AWAY AND WAS ABLE TO STOP THE FIRE FROM SPREADING
THE FRONT WHEELS WOBBLE UNCONTROLLABLY AT HIGH SPEEDS (55MPH). THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES AND ONLY CONSIDERABLE SLOWING AND COUNTERMEASURES CAN STOP THIS HORRIFYING PROBLEM. THE CONDITION IS KNOWN AS "JEEP DEATH WOBBLE" AND IF YOU LOOK IT UP ON GOOGLE YOU CAN SEE VIDEO OF PRECISELY WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY JEEP ON THE HIGHWAY, ON BRIDGES, ON CURVES WHILE I AM GOING FAST. IT HAPPENED AT 20K THEY FIXED IT AND IT STARTED TO HAPPEN AGAIN AROUND 75K. THEY KNOW THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM.
SWAY BAR DISCONNECT CONNECTOR HAS HEAVY CORROSION. WAS TOLD MY DEALER COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE RUBICON MODEL (SEE ATTACHED IMAGE). THIS IS THE ANNIVERSARY EDITION JEEP AND WAS VERY EXPENSIVE AND I WAS TOLD WHEN I PURCHASED IT THAT ALL PARTS WERE EXCELLENT LONG LAST PARTS NOW THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS OR CAN ONE BE ISSUED. I HAVE CONTACTED MOPAR AND THEY WILL HAVE DIGITAL IMAGINES.
WATER COMING IN ON DRIVER & PASSENGER SIDE . FLOR IS SOAKED. JEEP MECHANIC SAY I NEED ALL NEW DOOR SEALS $ $850.00. NEVER HAD DOORS OFF NEVER HAD JEEP OFF ROAD. CLEARLY POORLY BUILT
HORN DOES NOT WORK AND STEERING COLUMN CONTROLS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING. UNSURE IF AIRBAG WORKS.
I WAS GETTING INTO MY VEHICLE AND TURNED ON THE CAR. IMMEDIATELY AFTER I TURNED IT ON MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS BEGAN STARTING (WITH THEM OFF) AND WOULDN'T STOP. I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND THEY CONTINUED TO KEEP MOVING. I TRIED TO MOVE MY CAR INTO THE GARAGE AND MY CAR WOULDN'T COME OUT OF PARK. THEN I STARTED SMELLING A REALLY BAD SMELL OF SOMETHING BURNING SO I CALLED MY LOCAL AUTO SHOP ASAP BECAUSE THE SMELL WOULDN'T STOP AND HE HAD ME DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TO SHUT EVERYTHING OFF. MY CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO AN AUTO SHOP TO GET FIXED. I WAS TOP THE TIPM MODULE WAS FAULTY. I HAD TO GET A WHOLE ENTIRE NEW MODULE WHICH COST 1,200$. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED IN THE MIDDLE OF ME DRIVING THE CAR AND I WAS LUCKY THAT IT ONLY HAPPENED WHEN I WAS PARKED. I WAS ALSO TOLD BY MANY OTHER PEOPLE WHO DRIVE A CHRYSLER, DODGE, OR JEEP THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM IN OLDER MODELS. I FEEL VERY UNEASY DRIVING MY CAR NOW.

TRANSMISSION OR SAFETY RECALL N28/NHSA 13V-234 LEAKING TRANSMISSION FUEL OIL COOLER TUBE......+RECALL V01 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 19V-018........
I WENT TO HAVE THE OIL CHANGED AND THE TECHNICIAN FOUND TSB 09-009-18 PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE HAD BROKEN AND ALL OF THE PIECES WERE MISSING BUT TWO SMALL PLASTIC PARTS. THEY SHOWED ME THE TSB AND I WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE THE JEEP UNTIL THE OIL FILER ADAPTER WAS REPLACED OR THE PLASTIC PARTS COULD POSSIBLY MIGRATE AND BLOW UP MY ENGINE.
WITH NO LEAKS AND LESS THAN 65,000 MILES, THE AMOUNT OF HEAT PRODUCED THROUGH THE VEHICLES HEATING SYSTEM HAS BEEN STEADILY DIMINISHING TO THE POINT THAT IT NOW ONLY BLOWS COOL AIR. THIS CONDITION IS PRESENT EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE IS UP TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE AND HAS BEEN IN CONTINUOUS OPERATION. RESEARCH HAS INDICATED THAT A ENGINE COMPONENT MANUFACTURING DEFECT (CASTING SAND RESIDUE) HAS DIRECTLY CAUSED THIS CONDITION WITH THE SAND RESIDUE ACCUMULATING IN THE HEATER CORE AND RESTRICTING/BLOCKING THE FLOW OF COOLANT THROUGH THE HEATER CORE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V021000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. SWAMPEES AUTO DODGE RAM FIAT JEEP OF PHOENIX (16406 N 26TH AVE, PHOENIX, AZ 85023, (480) 630-2825) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
CONSTANT TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE TOP OF THE ENGINE. THIS TICKING NOISE IS MADE FROM WORN OUT ROCKER ARMS/ CAM LIFTERS AS THE CAMSHAFT ROTATES. THE BEARING MATERIAL IN THE LIFTERS IS NOT HARDENED STEEL AND CAN DEGRADE. ALL 3.6L PENTASTAR ENGINES ARE AFFECTED BY THESE DEFECTIVE ROCKER ARMS. IF THE ROCKER ARMS ARE DAMAGED NO CODE WILL SHOW. THE FIRST SINES WILL BE A LOSS IN FUEL EFFICACY. AS THE CAMSHAFT WEARS DOWN CHANGING THE DISPLACEMENT OF THE CYLINDERS THIS WILL START CAUSING MISFIRE AND STALLING DURING NORMAL DRIVING/ ACCELERATION. EVENTUALLY, WARE DEBRIS CAN FALL INTO THE CYLINDER AND DAMAGE THE HEAD. I FIRST TOOK MY JEEP TO THE DEALERSHIP AT 60K MILES TO DIAGNOSE. WITH NO CODES SHOWING I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING IN THE ENGINE CHECKED OUT AND THE TICKING NOISE WAS FROM THE VALVES. NOW AT 84K MILES ONE OF THE ROCKER ARMS IS DEFINITELY FAILING AND STILL NOT SHOWING CODES. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT COVER REPLACEMENT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THE PURCHASE DATE WAS 5 1/2 YEARS AGO. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 3.6L PENTASTAR. CHRYSLER HAS PROVIDED TECHNICAL BULLETINS TO VISUALLY IDENTIFY DEFECTIVE ROCKERS BUT ARE NOT PROVIDING EXTENDED WARRANTY OR RECALL ON THIS PART. WHILE AT THE DEALERSHIP THE TECHNICIAN SAID THEY HANDLE A LOT OF ROCKER ARM REPLACEMENTS ON PENTASTAR ENGINES, 5 TO 10 A WEEK! CHRYSLER SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SOURCING AND INSTALLING DEFECTIVE PARTS IN THEIR ENGINES.
"TAKATA RECALL" CALLED FISHER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP IN YUMA, AZ THEY SAID THEY CANNOT GET PARTS AND THEY SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FEBRUARY OF 2020. THAT IS A YEAR FROM NOW AND DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A REASONABLE TIME FOR A SAFETY RECALL.
AIRBAG LIGHT HAS CONTINUALLY FLASHED ON/OFF FOR APPROX 1 MONTH. LIGHT WILL FLASH ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING, VEHICLE IS OFF AND PARKED/NOT IN MOTION, VEHICLE IS ON NOT IN MOTION. AS OF 03/12/2019 DAYS AGO LIGHT HAS REMAINING ON WITHOUT FLASHING, UPON INITIALLY STARTING VEHICLE. CODE VERIFIED AS BOTH STORED AND ACTIVE, B1B02 ASSOCIATED WITH CLOCKSPRING RECALL FOR JEEP WRANGLER 2007-2010 LHD AND 2012-2016 RHD
DRIVER'S SIDE OF WINDSHIELD WOULD NOT DEFROST. AFTER INTERNET REVIEW, I BELIEVE MY HEATER CORE IS PARTIALLY CLOGGED WITH A SLUDGE LIKE SUBSTANCE CIRCULATING IN THE ANTI FREEZE COOLANT AND THIS ONLY ALLOWS HOT AIR TO CIRCULATE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE. THE SLUDGE LIKE SUBSTANCE CLOGGING THE HEATER CORE IS BELIEVED BY SOME TO BE CAUSED BY MANUFACTURING REMNANTS STUCK IN THE COOLING SYSTEM. THE ISSUE ONLY BECAME APPARENT TO ME ON A LONGER THAN NORMAL COMMUTE IN COLD WEATHER. I WAS TRAVELLING ON A HIGHWAY AT NIGHT FOLLOWING A SNOWSTORM AND THE ROADS WERE POORLY PLOWED. I ONLY HAVE 50,000 MILES ON THIS CAR AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY WORK DONE TO THIS CAR'S ENGINE OR HAD ANY DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE ANTI FREEZE HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED SINCE MANUFACTURE AND NOT YET REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE PROBLEM OCCURRED LAST NIGHT. FEBRUARY 5, 2019, BUT MAY HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE PRIOR TO LAST NIGHT, BUT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT AS SEVERE. I WILL ATTEMPT TO CONTACT FCA REGARDING THIS ISSUE. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS LISTED ON THE INTERNET REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
OIL COOLER FILTER HOUSING LEAKS OIL SPILLING IT DOWN THE BACKSIDE ONTOP OF THE TRANSMISSION BELL HOUSING AND DIRECTLY DRIPPING ONTOP OF HOT EXHAUST PIPES RESULTING IN A FIRE HAZARD.
THE HEAT STOPPED WORKING, EVEN AFTER A 45 MINUTE COMMUTE , NO HEAT. THIS CREATED DIFFICULTIES IN SEEING OUT THE WINDSHIELD ON COLD MORNINGS. THE DEALER DID A FLUSH OF THE SYSTEM BUT THE HEAT WAS ONLY TEMPORARILY FIXED, LESS A WEEK. RETURNED TO DEALER, REPLACED THE HEATER CORE WHICH HAS RETURNED THE HEAT TO THE JEEP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO OPERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RON LEWIS ALFA ROMEO / RON LEWIS PRE-OWNED CRANBERRY (LOCATED AT 20839 ROUTE 19, CRANBERRY TWP, PA 16066, (724) 776-7400) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
I PULLED INTO PARKING SPACE, FOOT ON BRAKE,( ZERO SPEED NATURALLY) AS I STARTED TO MOVE SHIFTER FROM DRIVE TO PARK, THE ENGINE ROARED AND JEEP ACCELERATED UP OVER CURB AND ~ 20FT TILL I HIT THE CORNER OF THE LA FITNESS BUILDING ( MY DESTINATION) ALL THE TIME WITH MY FOOT DEPRESSED VERY HARD ON THE BRAKE. DAMAGING FRONT BUMPER, GRILL , HEADLIGHT AND WINDSHIELD ON LEFT CORNER (DRIVER SIDE). I DEPLOYED ALL MY STRENGTH TO BRAKE DURING EVENT WITH NO EFFECT, TURNED OFF CAR, AND PUT IT IN PARK. AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. 1-10-2019 AT ~ 8:45AM. CARROLTON TEXAS (75007 ) POLICE REPORT # 2019008855, OFFICER ELMORE # 680 FILED ON 1-10-2019. I CALLED HUFFINES JEEP DEALERSHIP TO INQUIRE IF ISSUES WITH SUDDEN ACCELERATION HAD BEEN REPORTED (OFFICER RECCOMEND I CHECK BEFORE I DRIVE TO THEIR REPAIR SHOP) BOB IN CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID HE DID NOT KNOW OF ANY ISSUES OR RECALLS. SO I SLOWLY DROVE WITH WARNING LIGHT ACTIVE AT ~ 20 MPH TO SHOP TO START REPAIRS (GEICO INS. CLAIM # 0529467460101044 )
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED AND THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SHOULDER. THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ROCK CITY DODGE CHRYSLER OF NY (520 ROCK CITY ST, LITTLE VALLEY, NY 14755, (716) 938-6936) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND WANTED TO SUBMIT THIS AS A GOODWILL CASE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
OIL FILTER HOUSING LEAKING PART 5184294AE RESEARCH SHOWS NUMEROUS INSTANCES OF THIS HAPPENING. ESP ON 2014 MODELS NOTICED OIL LEAK SON DRIVEWAY ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO. DEALER REPAIR COST NOT AFFORDABLE
WHEN I'M DRIVING THE JEEP, IT DOES NOT MATTER IF I GOING UP OR GOING DOWN ON A HILL AND I APPLY THE BRAKES AND STOP, THEY STAY APPLIED AND NOT RELEASED.
STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS STOPPED WORKING WHICH ALSO INCLUDED THE ABILITY TO USE THE HORN. THE AIR BAG LIGHT ALSO CAME ON MAKING THE AIR BAG SYSTEM NON OPERATING. IS NOT A FUSE ISSUE. SOMETHING IS FAULTY WITHIN THE STEERING SYSTEM AND CLOCK SPRING. WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON WITHOUT ANY FORM OF COLLISION TAKING PLACE. TRIED USING HORN TO SEE IF IT WORKED AND NO SOUND. TRIED USING RADIO CONTROLS NONE WORK. TRIED USING CRUISE CONTROL NOTHING WORKED. I HAVE TURNED THE JEEP STEERING WHEEL EVERY WAY AND NOTHING WORKS. TURNED IT OFF AND ON STILL NOTHING WORKING. DISCONNECTED BATTERY AND THEN CONNECTED IT BACK UP. STILL NOT WORKING. CHECKED ALL FUSES BY DEALER NO ISSUES. FACTORY EQUIPMENT NO MODIFICATIONS MADE STILL NOT WORKING. UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT MADE BY THIS MALFUNCTION WITHIN JEEP WRANGLER.
NO HEAT ON DRIVERS SIDE ONLY CAUSING VISIBILITY ISSUES AS DEFROST ON DRIVERS SIDE IS BLOWING COLD AIR. SHOP HAS DONE COLANT FLUSH 2X IN 1 YEAR PLUS CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT WHICH HAVE ALL ONLY BEEN TEMPORARY FIXES. ISSUE ALWAYS RETURNS. JEEP ENGINE STALLS OUT IN REVERSE, WORSE WHEN COLD OUTSIDE, WILL ALSO DIES OCCASIONALLY WHEN PUTTING INTO DRIVE. DEALER FAIL TO FIND THE CAUSE AS NO WARNING LIGHTS ARE EVER ON AS THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN THEIR PRESENCE AND NO CODES COME UP ALTHOUGH THIS HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY MORNING DURING WINTER WHEN ATTEMPTING TO BACK OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY. OCCASIONALLY IF ENGINE IS STALLING UPON REVERSE IT WILL ALSO STALL IN THE STREET AGAIN WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE INTO DRIVE. THIS STALLING ISSUE WILL HAPPEN NO MATTER IF I WARM THE ENGINE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE OR NOT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE BUT IT IS MORE OFTEN IN WINTER. DON'T REMEMBER HAVING THIS ISSUE DURING SUMMER BUT I'VE ONLY OWNED IT 1 YEAR. JEEP ALSO OCCASIONALLY SHAKES TERRIBLY WHEN I HIT 60MPH. AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, TOOK TO DEALER THEY SAID CLOCKSPRING CLOGGED WHICH SHUTS DOWN AIRBAG FUNCTIONALITY, NEED TO REPLACE CLOCKSPRING. CHECKED WEB, FOUND THAT CHRYSLER RECALLED ALL JEEPS YEAR 2007 THRU 2011(393,000) FOR DESIGN DEFECT OF CLOCKSPRING STATING IT CAN GET CLOGGED RESULTING IN INOPERABLE AIRBAG LIKE MY SON EXPERIENCED. THEN NOTICED THEY RECALLED 2011 THRU 2016 RIGHT HAND DRIVE FOR SAME DEFECT. I ASKED IF OUR CLOCKSPRING WAS SAME DESIGN WHICH RESPONSE WAS YES SO I ASKED WHY OURS WASN'T RECALLED AND COVERED BY CHRYSLER AND RESPONSE WAS IT WASN'T. IF PRODUCT IS SAME FOR ALL THOSE YEARS IT SHOULD BE RECALLED BECAUSE ACCIDENT WILL HAPPEN AND SOMEONE WILL GET SERIOUSLY HURT IF AIRBAGS DO NOT DEPLOY. CLOCKSPRING IS SAME DESIGN IN MY SON'S JEEP AS ALL THE OTHERS THAT WERE RECALLED.

(JOURNEY, WRANGLER, 200/AVENGER, CHALLENGER, CHARGER, GRAND CARAVAN, DURANGO AND GRAND CHEROKEE). AND THEY WILL NOT RECALL THIS PART. THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE THE PROBLEM IS THE SERVICE LIGHT INDICATOR. SO YOU CAR WILL NOT START IF IT MALFUNCTIONS. OF COURSE THEY WANT YOU TO ONLY HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY TO POSSIBLE HELP. THEN, THE DEALER CALIBRATED THE THROTTLE. I WAS TOLD IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, CALL THEM AND THEY WILL HAVE IT TOWED. THIS IS WHAT I DID. IT WAS AT THE SHOP THE NEXT DAY AND THEY STATED IT STARTED RIGHT UP. THEY ARE KEEPING IT THERE AND WILL BE DRIVING IT WITH HOPES OF DUPLICATING THE PROBLEM. I AM LUCKY THAT I WAS ABLE TO COAST THE THE SHOULDER AND NOT GET REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE.
FUEL LEAKING WHEN TANK IS ABOVE THREE QUARTERS FULL.FUEL MODULE HAD MANY CRACKS WHERE THE FUEL IS LEAKING FROM.
ESC LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. AFTER THAT, THE BRAKES STARTED ON THEIR OWN AND I COULDN'T STEER. I WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAD TO FIX THE CLOCK SPRING. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A KNOWN RECALL AND PROBLEM TO THE 2007-2010 JEEPS, THEY DIDN'T INCLUDE THE 2013 IN THE RECALL AND IT WAS OVER $600 OUT OF MY POCKET TO FIX.

I HAVE BOUGHT A CODE READER AND NO CODES ARE THROWN. IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY DOING 65-70 MPH WHILE IN THE MIDDLE LANE. THE CAR LITERALLY JUST SHUTS OFF WITH NO NOTICE. MY FAMILY COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED! IN SHORT...CAR WAS MOVING THEN SHUT DOWN FOR NO REASON.

I SMELLED A VERY STRONG SENT OF FUEL INSIDE THE CAB WHILE DRIVING ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK. I WENT TO THE GYM AND ASK ANY OF MY FRIENDS TO COME TAKE A LOOK AT IT. A PUDDLE OF FUEL BUILT UP UNDERNEATH MY VEHICLE IN A MATTER OF MINUTES. ONCE WE OPENED THE HOOD AND TURNED ON THE JEEP FOR A SECOND, IT WAS IMMEDIATELY DISCOVERED THAT THE FUEL LINE SPLIT. I SUFFERED SEVERE DAMAGE TO MY LEG REQUIRING IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE JEEP WAS TAKEN TO A CHRYSLER DEALER, FOR AN INSPECTION. WHILE THE JEEP WAS IN THE DEALERSHIP, CHRYSLER SENT OUT A PRIVATE CONTRACTOR TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. AS PART OF THE INSPECTION, THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC) CRASH-DATA WAS RETRIEVED. I MADE SEVERAL REQUESTS TO CHRYSLER, FOR A COPY OF THE FINAL INSPECTION REPORT. AND WAS REPEATEDLY DENIED THE (ORC) DATA, RETRIEVED FROM MY JEEP WRANGLER. THE CHRYSLER DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT AXLE OF THE JEEP. THE OUT-OF-POCKET COST FOR THE REPAIR WAS $6,859.92. ALSO, I HAD THE JEEP TAKEN TO DIFFERENT JEEP-CHRYSLER DEALER, FOR A SECOND INSPECTION. AFTER PERFORMING DIAGNOSTICS, THE CERTIFIED MECHANIC CONFIRMED THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKES, WHILE ENGAGED ' WOULD NOT HOLD THE VEHICLE. THE E-BRAKE WAS REPLACED AT OUT-OF-POCKET COST OF $1,138.41. THE FAILURE MILEAGE, FOR THE 2013 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON WAS 46,600. THE 2011 NHTSA DATABASE POSTED CHRYSLER RECALL NO. B03ALSO, FOR JEEP WRANGLER ROLL AWAYS RESULTING FROM PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY FAILURES. HOWEVER, THE PROBEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED AND CONTINUES AFTER RECALLS. THIS IS A SERIOUS, AND VERY DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE ' IN THAT YOU CAN SEE THESE VEHICLES TURNING INTO UN-GUIDED MISSLES. AND DOING DAMAGE TO PEOPLE AND PROPERTY, AS A RESULT OF PARKING BRAKE FAILURES.
