Driving on the highway smoke came from under the hood in the right hand side forcing my family out on the highway keep ingulfed in flames and burnt to a crisp
The car which is barely driven, suddenly caught on fire while parked in my home driveway after sitting there for close to 8 hours. so the car wasn't in use at the time. It's completely gone.
The engine is overheating at idle speed and there's a phamtom coolant leak. We just bought this in January and are already having major issues. Seems to be a problem with the plastic coolant reservoir being near a very hot engine.
Noise while driving, gets louder when speed increases. Wheel bearings need replacement.
"The vehicle exhibits a recurring Loss of Motive Power (LMP) during low-speed maneuvers (intersections) and highway speeds (50+ mph). The failure is preceded by erratic instrument cluster behavior (gauge spikes) and results in a total loss of propulsion without prior warning. This defect persists despite the completion of Recall ZB7 and Recall 68C. The dealership has duplicated the failure but refuses further repair, stating the vehicle is 'out of scope' for current remedies, placing the driver at high risk of a collision." Screenshots include: "Written admission from Jeep dealership confirming duplicated loss of motive power and acceleration struggle following a software update. Dealer admits software is 'more sensitive' than previous versions but has no physical way to resolve the safety defect." The manufacturer-authorized repair facility stating they want to release an unsafe vehicle back to me without a remedy. "There is nothing for any of us to do with your vehicle here at Chapman" and tells you to contact Chrysler. A recall repair was completed in 2023 related to an overheating warning. Recently, the same issue has returned. The engine cooling fan runs at a very high speed for several minutes and then shuts off, even when the vehicle is cold or operating under normal conditions. An overheating warning message appeared briefly while driving, but the temperature gauge remained within the normal range. This suggests the engine may not actually be overheating and that the issue may be related to a faulty sensor, electrical system, or control module. The problem has not yet been fully diagnosed by a dealer due to diagnostic costs, but the symptoms are consistent with the original issue that led to the recall repair. This condition could pose a safety risk because the driver may receive inaccurate overheating warnings or may not be alerted if a real overheating condition occurs. The issue is intermittent and has occurred both while driving and when the vehicle is stationary. Attempts were made to contact the manufacturer to report this as a repeat issue after a recall repair, but no resolution was provided and a formal case was not successfully established.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? -After the 68C recall update for the HV battery failures, the vehicle has not been able to consistently maintain or provide power due to the limitation of the battery introduced as part of the recall. This is most noticeable driving in Electric Mode below 60% charge. The throttle behavior is inconsistent and unpredictable due to the recent updated How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? -I was merging onto a controlled access highway and unable to accelerate after pulling into the travel lane from the merging lane due to the limitations of the battery power. The engine did not respond in time to provide power to the vehicle. The occurrence of the loss of power is unpredictable. Some times the electric battery and motor can provide the necessary power, and in others it does not respond to the throttle demand at the same state of charge with no indication of the issue. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? -It has not yet Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? -It has not Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? -No warning lamps were provided
While driving on roads I would characterize as good, Our 2021 Jeep Wrangle has exhibited what is widely know as the "death wobble". 1st time was when vehicle has approximately 10,000 miles and it was noted as being severe, dangerous and very scary. 2nd and 3rd time time and with the same road conditions, it occurred. Mileage was 20,000 and 21,000. On March 13th, and with 23,702 miles, we serviced the vehicle to address a known issue with water pump coolant leak and I explained the front wheel steering "wobble issue". They reviewed, test drove and found no issues with it. 3 miles after picking up vehicle, and at approximate 50 MPH, the unit went into a major wobble condition. I immediately returned to the dealership. Technician recommended steering stabilizer and I was told 9/10 times this fixes the "shake". Service team also explained this is a fairly widespread concern with Jeep Wrangler. I consider this a major risk to me, my family and other drivers around me/vehicle. Only my wife and I have experienced the condition. Dealer was unable to duplicate. No other warning lights or fail conditions are available. Vehicle stalled out. Then would not start. Daughter was stuck for 30 minutes until it finally turned over took it into dealership. Was told it’s the fuel pump. My issue is that now. These fuel pumps are back ordered indefinitely found out because all of the fuel pumps are going bad on the jeeps. Now we have a faulty part that the dealership is aware of that you cannot get replaced due to so many of them needing to be replaced, which tells me they know this part is faulty was told they’re not even sure if or when they would be able to get the part now you have all these people driving jeeps that can stall out on the road and get into a terrible accident. My daughter is [XXX] and this is not acceptable. She has a faulty car part and Jeep has no parts to replace this faulty part. This is a plug in hybrid vehicle. The (ECH) electric coolant heater is prone to failure. This failure can lead to loss of power and might cause the hybrid battery pack to not regulate its temperature leading to a fire. This is a high failure rate with some saying it has failed more than once. Jeep 4xe Fans on Facebook has been doing some tracking of numbers and shows a 50% failure rate with some failing after being replaced. This failure is not being addressed by Jeep.
My vehicle is experiencing EV system failures, stalling, and system shutdown warnings that make the vehicle unsafe to operate. These symptoms began after a recall repair that was performed by the dealership. The dealership initially stated the recall was repaired, but the same symptoms have continued and have now worsened. The vehicle will display EV system warnings and will stall or shut down systems while driving. The air conditioning and other systems also shut down as the vehicle attempts to protect the electrical system. I have brought the vehicle back to the dealership multiple times regarding this issue. Despite the vehicle showing the same symptoms associated with the recall, I am now being told I may have to pay for additional teardown work unrelated to the EV system. This vehicle has become unsafe to drive, and I have requested assistance and escalation from dealership management but have not received a resolution. I am filing this complaint due to the safety risk posed by the vehicle stalling and shutting down systems while in operation.
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle drove over a bump in the road, and the vehicle started to wobble and shake violently. The contact slowed down and stopped the vehicle. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the steering dampener needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated had experienced the failure several years prior. The vehicle was repaired under warranty; however, the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.
Vehicle has gone through the 68C update and the car sometimes hesitates in stop and go traffic. Also the vehicle hesitates on acceleration almost causing an accidents more times than I can count.
Safety Concern – Steering Instability / Death Wobble – 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara To Whom It May Concern, I own a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with approximately 30,000 miles. I am writing to formally document and request a resolution for a recurring and severe steering instability commonly referred to as “death wobble.” The vehicle experiences violent front-end oscillation after encountering normal road conditions (e.g., highway speeds and minor road irregularities). This condition poses a significant safety risk to me, passengers, and other drivers. This issue has been widely documented in Jeep Wrangler models and addressed in various Technical Service Bulletins concerning steering dampers, ball joints, track bars, and front suspension components. Given the known history of this condition in Jeep vehicles, I am requesting: A full diagnostic inspection of all steering and suspension components. Confirmation of any applicable Technical Service Bulletins. Repair or replacement of defective components at no cost. Written documentation of findings and repairs. This vehicle has been properly maintained and has low mileage for its model year. A violent steering oscillation at highway speed is not normal wear and tear — it is a safety defect. If this issue cannot be resolved under warranty or goodwill assistance, I will pursue escalation through Stellantis Customer Care, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and applicable consumer protection or lemon law provisions. Car partially charged and when driving feels like it’s going to stall out. Seems like whatever update Stellantis did to hide the 4xe issues is impacting my ability to safely get around
After 68C recall has been performed and "passed" the car will lose acceleration and power when trying to go up a hill. Will not accelerate when in electric mode.
While driving higher speeds (45 mph+) I have had my vehicle start shaking very violently which results in me having to slam on my breaks to gain control of my vehicle. When this happens I have been traveling on the highway or interstate which puts other drivers at risk due to me unexpectedly having to come to a halt to gain control of my vehicle. I have taken my vehicle to the mechanic multiple times (dealership twice and local mechanic twice) and I have had everything replaced on the front end that could cause this and it is still happening. Steering dampener has been replaced twice in a year. Mechanic seems to believe that there is a design flaw in the vehicle that is causing it at this point. There is no warning message or anything that gives me any warning. I am scared to drive my vehicle on the highway or interstate.
The uconnect radio is not functioning correctly at 55000 miles it refreshes and restarts intermittently and the rear camera is not operating properly after switching to drive from reverse. The image remains in the screen for an extended period of time causing a view of the rear of the vehicle as it is driving forward. This gives a skewed perception of what is going on around the vehicle. It’s is distracting and confusing until the rear view camera returns to the “drive” condition of the vehicles transmission and removes the view of the rear of the vehicle from the radio.
The high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failed internally while I was driving at night, causing the vehicle to suddenly stall and shut off completely while my children were in the vehicle. This resulted in an immediate loss of power and created a dangerous situation in traffic. The failure caused metal debris to spread throughout the entire fuel system, and the dealership confirmed that the system requires full replacement. I was quoted approximately $15,000 for repairs. This vehicle previously had a manufacturer recall related to the fuel pump that was completed in 2022 and is now listed as closed. Despite the recall repair, the same failure occurred again. This demonstrates that the recall remedy did not correct the defect. The sudden engine shutdown without warning presents a serious safety hazard, especially at night and with passengers in the vehicle. Its been at the dealer ship for a month.
My 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (3.6L eTorque, automatic transmission) has experienced recurring drivetrain instability beginning at approximately 2,000 miles while under factory warranty. The vehicle intermittently exhibits a high-RPM flare during acceleration, where the engine speed increases without a commensurate increase in vehicle acceleration. The transmission then abruptly engages, causing sudden jerking. At low speeds (approximately 10–5 mph), the vehicle shudders and harshly downshifts, creating a sudden grabbing sensation. Engine RPMs fluctuate during deceleration as if the transmission cannot smoothly match engine speed. Braking feels inconsistent, and at times it feels as though the vehicle is accelerating or resisting braking input before abruptly slowing. The vehicle has felt as though it would stall at low speeds and has stalled intermittently. Additionally, the forward collision warning / automatic emergency braking system has activated without an obstacle present. There have also been intermittent instances of loss of power steering assist. The engine has developed a ticking noise and a high-pitched ringing/whining sound from the engine area during operation. In January 2026, the transmission catastrophically failed and required replacement of the transmission, torque converter, cooler, and control module. The vehicle was out of service for over 24 days. Following installation of a Mopar remanufactured transmission and torque converter, the same symptoms have recurred, including RPM flare, delayed shifting, shuddering, harsh downshifts, unstable deceleration, and abnormal engine noises. These conditions present a safety concern due to loss of expected acceleration, unpredictable torque engagement, unintended braking activation, intermittent power steering loss, stalling behavior, and drivetrain instability. I just had the 68C recall done to my Jeep Wrangler 4XE recently. Before the recall, it was running fine. But now, every time I go uphill in electric only mode, the car would suddenly lose power (eg. slowing down from 50 MPH to 20 MPH). Pressing the accelerator does nothing, until I fully depress it, at which point the gas engine would start and the car jerks forward. It's very dangerous with the sudden slow down and speed up for no reason.
Jeep death wobble occurs in my 2021 jeep wrangler. Currently recalls are for vehicles up to 2020. While driving at highway speeds and the vehicle rides over a small bump the front end shakes excessively until speed is dramatically lowered.
At any speed above 50 mph the steering violently shakes if I hit bridge seams, cracks, or potholes. At speeds about 60 it's significantly worse and around 40 it still wobbles for ~3/4 of a second
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where an engine oil replacement was performed, and the High-Voltage Battery was replaced. Upon further inspection, the local dealer diagnosed the High-Voltage Battery replacement as a failure. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle remained at the local dealer for several months; however, the parts were not available for the recall repair. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.
My engine light came on shortly after my first warranty oil change August 23,2025 at the Tonkin Hillsboro dealership. During my 2nd warranty oil change January 9,2026 at Tonkin Hillsboro dealership I let them know my engine light came on after their last service and they wanted to charge me the diagnosis fee. After continued discussion learned they already checked the code indicator and mentioned possible gas cap seal and it was not fixed. Today I received an Updated Carfax of my recent service and saw a recall for my vehicle dated on October 30, 2025 re: Urgent Fire Risk When Parked. NHTSA Recall Number 25V741000 Manufacturer Recall Number68C NHTSA Recall Number25V-741 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete This safety was not checked, fixed or completed within the consumer regulatory requirement of recalls while my vehicle was in service and in their observation. If the recall notice is dated October 30, 2025, there should be no reason for an oversight in providing clear communication and corrective action immediately while the vehicle was in service on January 9,2025 and communication/information before I picked up the vehicle and drove it off the lot. This is a certified vehicle that so far has not given me any confidence of proper dealership quality and car for vehicle safety and consumer co concern.

I reached out to my dealer at the beginning of Jan after I received the notice that the recall repair was available. The dealer told me that they have no record of the recall for my vehicle. The dealer has been unresponsive since I complained.
Steering Death Wobble, usually on bumpy type of roads. Has improved some after front end alignment. No safety risks so far but very scary. Dealer has not been able to reproduce it, only happens so often. No, only a mechanic shop has looked at the vehicle. No warning lights or messages came on before.
On Tuesday January 6 2026, I was driving my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. I noticed smoke coming out the engine. I pulled over to the side of the road to determine the problem. Upon exiting the vehicle, I saw flames coming from the undercarriage of the engine. The fire soon engulfed the vehicle. 911 was called. Police and Fire responded. The vehicle was destroyed in the fire. I have photos and videos of the fire and aftermath, taken once I exited the vehicle. I assume the fire is the result of the recent recall on the battery components of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The vehicle is currently in an impound lot and would be available for inspection upon request. I have notified Jeep and my insurance of the incident, but the jeep has not as of yet, been inspected by either entity. The fire was of great risk to myself. If I hadn't pulled over when I did who knows what might have occurred. In addition I had a full tank of gas so the vehicle could have exploded endangering other people, vehicles, and property. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem appeared prior to the failure. The vehicle had been operating as intended prior to smoke/fire. I have documentation of a service of the vehicle on Wednesday Dec 3, 2025 with Raidon's of Kirkland in which the performed recall services.
Two issues that I want to make known. First is a classic jeep issue with the death wobble. I currently have the jeep back in the shop for the current recall and having them fix the wobbling again. This would be the second time that it has happened. worried because the warranty is about to expire. Next is a problem that I almost forgot about until recently because I started driving a rental jeep wrangler. With my jeep, when I have the adaptive cruse control on, it some times thinks there is a car in front of me when it is in the next lane, and right in the middle of the highway, my jeep tries to stop because there is a car next to me in its own lane. This has been going on for a while now but i have never gotten it looked at because of the cost. im going to have both issues looked at during the recall because my extended warranty is ending and im worried that if i dont get it fixed now, im going to have to pay more in the future. Side notes about my jeep, it was a buy back before I purchased it. Was supposedly fixed. At around 10k miles I had a radiator issue and then needed to have a complete engine replacement. With both of these battery recalls, I have had to get a new battery. Im about to get by 3rd. There has also been hvac issues fixed in the past. I tried to contact jeep about another buy back, but they denied the claim without even talking to me. Currently working on trying to actually talk to someone.
When going over a bump the jeep goes into a "death wobble". This was fixed approximately 3 years ago. It now has started again.
Vehicle started and put in reverse. after backing up approximately 15 ft, vehicle put into driver and once accelerator was pressed, vehicle stalled. Tried to restart, engines turned over but stalled again after 1 second. Waited 10 seconds and tried to restart again, stalled again 1 second after turnover. Turned vehicle completely off, opened door, waited 30 seconds, tried starting again and system attempted to stat for 5-10 seconds (push to start ignition so I had no control over how long it tried this), but engine would not turn over. Vehicle also could not be shifted out of park (turned vehicle off and tried to put in “On” position without ever depressing the brake). Vehicle now stuck in driveway and unable to be moved. Acting like an issue with the fuel pump, which is a recall that was announced for some vehicles of this make and model, but NHTSA check shows no open recalls on vehicle. No warning lights or check engine lights came on.
In the last month my wife and I have 4 experiences with an extreme vibration and wobble in the front end of my jeep while driving on the highway. The vibration is violent and the last time it seemed as if the wheels were going to come off my 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Once I slow down the to a lower speed, 45 mph for example, the wobble stops but it seems to be a problem with many Wranglers based upon my research. I am going to schedule an appointment with a dealer to have this investigated but I have less than 35,000 miles on my jeep and it seems to be a manufacturer issue. There are no warning lights that indicate I may have any kind of problem.
The manufacturer refuses to process the 68c recall. The car was purchased from a dealer in Canada in 2021. I purchased it in 2025 and imported it to Poland. Currently, the car is registered and used in Poland. The dealership refused to process it. He suggested I take the car to North America and have the recall performed there. It's possible to have the software related to the 68c recall installed at an independent repair shop in Poland, but if the battery needs to be replaced, Jeep won't do it. I tried contacting Jeep in the US to ask how to resolve this, but there's no email address or online form available. Given zip code is incorrect since this form do not allow to use forein zipcode. The power steering system experienced a sudden failure while the vehicle was in motion. Steering assist was lost without warning, causing a significant and immediate increase in steering effort. This created a serious safety hazard and I nearly lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with approximately 31,000 miles. There were no warning lights, messages, or symptoms prior to the failure. The loss of power steering occurred unexpectedly while driving. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Jeep dealership, where the issue was confirmed. The dealer stated the failure was related to two communication bus lines associated with the power steering system. The dealer is refusing warranty coverage and has quoted approximately $1,000 for repair. The failure directly impacted my ability to safely control the vehicle and posed a risk of crash, injury, or death to myself and others on the road. The vehicle is currently available for inspection upon request. The issue has been confirmed by the dealer, and no inspection by the manufacturer or other third parties has occurred at this time.
EV Battery recall without resolution. After receiving the recall notice and scheduling service at the dealership, the Jeep Was kept for 6 weeks and they replaced both the EV battery and the starting 12v battery. After driving the vehicle for less than a week, the EV battery started making gurgling and bubbling sounds after starting and continued for about 30 sec - 1 minute after turning off power. No message or warning lights have indicated any type of issue. The dealership said the car is not safe to drive and asked me to have it towed to the shop. I have had to pay almost $3,000 out of pocket for a rental because I use my car for work. My reimbursement is still processing and my vehicle is back in the shop. This was the 4th attempt to upgrade the software and the first time replacing the battery to my knowledge.
Glendale Dodge (CA) is actively using Federal Fire Risk Recall 68C to fraudulently conceal a separate, critical High-Voltage hardware failure on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. Upon intake, my vehicle’s internal VIP diagnostic scan showed an active P0E15 code (Electric Coolant Heater Failure). Per Stellantis Technical Service Bulletins, this code indicates a severe failure requiring a physical hardware replacement to ensure the high-voltage system operates safely. To avoid performing this costly warranty repair, the dealership deliberately falsified the diagnosis on Final Invoice #31349. Under Line C (Customer States Check Engine Light is On), the dealership officially recorded the cause and correction as: 'DUE TO RECALL MODULE UPDATES AND BAD BATTERY.' This is an affirmatively false written diagnosis. A dead 12V battery and a recall software update do not cause, nor do they resolve, a P0E15 High-Voltage Electric Coolant Heater failure. The dealership lied on the legal invoice to scrub the hardware defect from the record. They then applied the 68C software patch as a smokescreen, falsified the 'Date Out' to 12/26/2025 to prematurely close the federal recall ticket, and attempted to return a vehicle that remains mechanically compromised and unsafe. This is intentional warranty fraud masking a high-voltage system failure. Stellantis and its authorized repair facility are refusing to properly remedy the vehicle. The vehicle is currently held at the dealership pending an active fraud investigation by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (Case #6596-WS4PV6).
For a few weeks prior to 12-21-2025, I've experienced minor Jeep "death wobble" (suspension issue) at highway speeds when encountering an irregularity (bump) in the road surface. On 12-21-2025, I experienced moderate Jeep "death wobble" at around 60 mph (several times). On a desert 2 lane highway, I was seriously in danger of running off the road to the right (crashing into rock faces bigger than the car) or running into oncoming traffic to the left. I was about an hour away from home and was able to reproduce the problem. I found that the issue was minimized if I kept it under 58 mph. Unfortunately, this motivated many drivers to dangerously pass me. The next day, I took it to the local off-road mechanic and they determined it was a worn tie-rod and recommended replacing the tie rod and installing/upgrading the steering stabilizer. From what I have read during my research is that those are band aid approaches to a more serious engineering/design issue with the Jeep Wrangler. I've further learned that Fiat-Chrysler (or the current owner) has continued to address the issue that has been problematic for decades. There are no recalls for my vehicle and the relevant TSBs I could find apply to older models (latest I saw was 2020 JL). However, it's clear the issue has not been resolved on my more current model (2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JL). The vehicle is available for your inspection.
Basically stated, death wobble, after looking up symptoms. At 65 mph on the highway, hit a bump and the entire jeep shook uncontrollably. I just purchased it used not 10 minutes prior to the incident. The dealership failed to mention this and sold it as-is.
Multiple failed recalls to stop vehicle High Voltage battery fires. I've already had the battery pack replaced once and now another recall of a software flash (68c) to test the battery cells separators for damage. So again the issue is still there and this is just another band-aid to catch it before it catches fire. This has been a ongoing issue for over a year and the issue is still not properly corrected. Multiple months of no charging, no parking in garage or near other vehicles/structures just to have another band-aid of a software flash, to stop the fire before it starts doesn't make me feel safe enough to put my family in this vehicle or to still want to charge or park anywhere near other vehicles or structures. This is the same process that "fixed" this issue the last time that obviously isn't a fix at all. The new battery they installed in 07/22/25 is just more of the same junk batteries without a proper fix.

I own a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 with the 6.4L engine (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle has a dangerous condition where the engine stalls unexpectedly when the fuel level is approximately 1/4 tank or lower and the vehicle is traveling downhill. When the vehicle is positioned on a decline or downhill slope, the engine suddenly shuts off without warning. This appears to be fuel starvation on decline when the fuel level is below approximately 1/4 tank, resulting in engine stall and loss of power steering and braking assist after stall. This has occurred multiple times and creates a significant risk of crash due to the sudden loss of engine power and reduced steering and braking assistance while the vehicle is in motion. The issue is particularly concerning when descending hills or driving on angled terrain. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership (Carvana Jeep San Diego) where technicians determined the likely cause is a defective fuel pump module associated with the Wrangler Rubicon 392 6.4L fuel pump module. However, the dealership informed me the replacement fuel pump module is currently on national backorder from the manufacturer (Stellantis/Jeep). They stated there is no confirmed availability date and that many vehicles may be waiting for the same component. My vehicle has been awaiting repair for approximately four months due to the unavailable fuel pump module. Because the vehicle can stall unexpectedly while traveling downhill, this defect presents an ongoing safety hazard and potential risk of crash. This complaint is being submitted so the issue can be evaluated as a potential safety defect involving fuel delivery failure, fuel pump module malfunction, and engine stall under low fuel conditions in the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed on the highway for 45 minutes, there was an abnormal odor of chimney fire, which continued while at the stop sign. The front passenger occupant noticed there was smoke from underneath the hood. While pulling over, the steering wheel locked up, and the occupants exited the vehicle. The engine warning light was illuminated. The damper had previously been replaced, but the vehicle was well-maintained. There were no reported injuries, air bag deployment, or crash. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. The police were called to the scene, but there was no police report. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000. The VIN was not available.

The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
My 2021 Jeep Wrangler has the well known "Death Wobble". Jeep isn't taking this very serious safety concern seriously. When speed increases to 70 mph the jeep shakes uncontrollably and you must slow down almost to a stop to regulate again. This should be a recall! Huge safety issue. If you google jeep death wobble you could read for days how many jeep owners are experiencing this issue. There apparently is a recall for older jeeps, but unfortunately jeep did not fix the issue and the 2021 jeeps are also affected. It's time to put a recall on the 2021 jeep wranglers and fix the death wobble.
Jeep has a design defect in vehicles equipped with the 2.0L turbocharged engine where the coolant reservoir is positioned directly adjacent to the turbocharger and turbo heat source with insufficient heat shielding. Due to the constant high heat exposure, the plastic coolant reservoir and/or connecting plastic fittings degrade, warp, and become brittle over time, eventually leading to coolant leaks, erratic coolant temperature readings, and/or sudden coolant loss. This failure often occurs without warning, and many vehicles do not initially trigger a check engine light. In my case, the vehicle exhibited intermittent coolant temperature readings, abnormal fan operation, and heating inconsistencies before the leak was discovered. Multiple repair attempts are frequently made before the root cause is identified. Mechanics often replace components such as the thermostat housing, coolant temperature sensors, or related assemblies, not realizing the coolant reservoir heat damage is the underlying cause. This results in unnecessary repairs, significant consumer expense, and extended vehicle downtime.This defect poses a serious safety risk, as coolant loss can result in: •Engine overheating •Sudden loss of power •Potential engine failure while driving •Increased risk of breakdown in traffic or unsafe driving conditions Numerous owners report similar failures, indicating this is not an isolated incident but a widespread design flaw affecting Jeep vehicles equipped with the 2.0L turbo engine.Jeep has not issued a Technical Service Bulletin or recall addressing the placement of the coolant reservoir or providing guidance to technicians to inspect for heat-related degradation in this area.I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this design defect and require Jeep to issue a Technical Service Bulletin or recall addressing this. The vehicle was properly maintained and not modified and The issue occurred at relatively low mileage.
Bolts came loose on thermostat housing caused all the fluid to leak out when looked up seems to be a common problem on these jeeps
The jeep goes into a death wobble when it encounters small bumps at speeds above 55mph. It begins shaking violently and forces you to brake quickly. This make it very dangerous to drive on highways or interstates.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the sun visors had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,900.
