NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
Recent recall 95B was performed December 15th, 2024 on my Jeep 4xe. The vehicle passed the road test involved with the safety recall to detect a defective high voltage battery. On December 26th, within 100 miles of the recall test being performed, the vehicle cruise control involuntarily shut off, check engine light illuminated and the vehicle lost power on the freeway. We were able to return home with the vehicle lurching while driving, having erratic acceleration from a stop and pushing through braking. The issues continued a few days later when delivering to the Jeep service center and the Jeep died in the service lane and had to be pushed the rest of the way to the service bay. The "fix'' that Stellantis has provided seems to simply later detect the battery issue that the recall test was designed to detect under their care during the test procedure. There are numerous other 4xe owners that I am aware of that are having the same post-test failures and motive power losses in traffic soon after their vehicle 'passed' the battery test. This 'solution' is causing a dangerous situation for the owners and the general motoring public. The Jeep has since been reevaluated and determined that the battery that the recall was intended to detect is indeed defective and is being replaced.
On occasion, when I put my vehicle in reverse the backup camera displays a black image in violation of the requirements of FMVSS 1111. There are no obstruction on the camera. This is available for inspection if necessary. I have taken it to the manufacturer but due to the intermittent nature they are not able to reproduce the event. I was not able to use the required safety feature to back out of a parking space into a busy street. I have a video of this display not activating correctly.
Jeep Death Wobble. Dealer is acting like this is an unknown issue.
I took my jeep into the dealer for my 4xe 95b recall. They did not show me pass or fail my car went in on no battery 2 1/2 hrs later they said my car was done. I do not believe they completed the drive cycle test to show pass or fail my odometer reading was only a few miles more then when I dropped it off and no battery charge gas gage hadn't moved. There is no way they did a complete drive cycle. They didn't charge it to over 75% they did not drive it until it was a warm enough temp to run the test. I got nothing but a receipt stating recall software update was done and drive test done. Nothing about if it passed or failed. And under my jeep app they put miscellaneous vehicle inspections. The recall still shows on my car.
The engine and cluster showed and made noises indicating that the hybrid system was malfunctioning. The cluster indicated a speed limit at high speeds, but never did so. The electric drivetrain was disconnected and the handling and power were severely affected. It was dangerous because the distracting and concerning issues were during a rapid speed and in dangerous conditions with no clear remedy. The check engine, red turtle, and battery lights indicated the problem, but not beforehand. There were some warranty fixes around the battery including recall work.
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at 75 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The voltage meter increased excessively. The vehicle was started, and the contact drove the vehicle to a nearby parking space. The contact turned the vehicle off. The contact allowed the vehicle to remain turned off for a while. The vehicle was started, and a service battery message was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed battery pack. The contact was informed that the battery pack needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The repair was performed under the recall NHTSA Campaign Number: 24E080000 (Electrical System). The failure reoccurred. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and the battery was charging, the contact noticed the front fan was running extremely hard. The contact disconnected the battery charger. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the aluminum battery cover was extremely hot. The contact used a temperature gauge to check the temperature of the aluminum battery cover and determined that the temperature was 106 degrees and was increasing. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 21,385.
After taking my jeep 4xe in for the 95B recall I drove around 50 miles and the check engine light came on. Once home vehicle would not turn on or charge. Error on dash said “charging system error.” Next day the vehicle would turn on be experience extreme slowness after stopping with bursts of acceleration. The accceleration and breaking system were extremely jerky and I felt like I didn’t know how the car would respond when accelerating which was dangerous.
Per the dealer, power distribution center design flawed causing it to fail. Vehicle failed while driving in traffic creating an unsafe condition.
Loss of power when the Jeep was in hybrid mode (Both electric and gasoline engine). This was due to Battery not able to regulate the internal temperature (confirmed by the dealer).
There is a air filter behind the dash glove box that continues to move (makes sound) as if its running after the vehicle is off. When you open doors you can hear the noise of the filter or component or something making a noise
I was driving on the turnpike on or about [XXX][. I drove over some ridges on [XXX]. My jeep starting violently shaking out of control it felt like the wheels were gonna pop off. I had to grip onto the steering wheel to try to keep the vehicle from hitting any other cars. It went on for about five minutes then it stopped, but I could feel a change in the way, the steering felt. There was no warning signs on my dashboard .It felt like I didn’t have complete control of the steering. After I got off of the turnpike, I was on [XXX] trying to get home safely after experiencing this terrifying experience . When i was on [XXX] I hit a red light and when the light turned green, I went to put my foot on the gas and it would not go so the person behind me almost hit. I had to put the jeep into park and I put it back into drive then proceeded to go and it was still driving like I didn’t have complete control of the steering so then om [XXX]. I set up an appointment with Sands Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. When I was on the phone With the advisor, she told me that was the death wobble that I was experiencing, but I need to have The Jeep diagnosed to verify that so I got a multi point inspection report Sent to me that said , Caution Steering Linkage (Damage/Leaks/Worn Components) Pending Recommendations Replace Steering Damper (Stabilizer) Associated Item General concern #1 customer states vehicle was shaking heavily on highway. The dealership is charging me when they know that Fiat Chrysler automobiles (FCA) , The former parent company of Jeep issued a recall for the 2018 to 2019 Jeep, Wrangler and Jeep gladiator models due to a steering wheel vibration issue known as the “ Death wobble”. FCA recalled over 190,000 vehicles to replace the front suspension steering damper also known as the stabilizer. and that’s Exactly what I needed to have replaced, steering damper Also known as stabilizer. Also called Jeep wave. They are trying to get me a discount INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
While driving on an interstate at approximately 65 mph, i crossed a bridge. When i ran over the expansion joint the steering wheel started violently shaking in my hands. It continued until i slowed down to a near stop and then was fine. On the same trip, it did this several times. When I took the jeep to a local dealer, they told me the steering damper (original to the vehicle) was defective. I helps them replace it and so far have not experienced the problem. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. Nearly losing control of a vehicle at 65 mph or more, with traffic all around, is extremely dangerous, as is trying to come to a stop as quickly as possible when surrounded by other vehicles that are going just as fast. I found many reports of similar issues with previous models of jeeps online but obviously their solution did not adequately address the problem.
The vehicle’s check engine light come on earlier this year and the electric motor/battery was not functioning properly. It was serviced in September and I was told by the dealership that the software update would resolve the issue. It did not. The vehicle was serviced again on 12/13/24 and I was told that it passed the 95B recall test but that the check engine light came back on. The dealership said they ran more tests and now the electric cooling/heating unit needs to be replaced but they won’t have the part for approximately 2 weeks. The electric cooling/heating unit is for controlling climate within the vehicle and should not affect its propulsion. While driving the vehicle the day after I picked it up from the dealership, I was nearly involved in what would’ve been a serious accident. I was turning at an intersection, but the vehicle lost motor function and would not accelerate, leaving me sitting in the intersection with traffic oncoming. Fortunately, after several seconds, the vehicle began to move with not much time to spare. This problem recurred throughout my drive returning home. I have not and will not drive the vehicle again until I am able to return to the dealership for a third time.
I have had 2 separate incidents with this tow bar system. Both resulted in catastrophic failure of the equipment. In Oct. 2024 while traveling in Atlanta Ga. a retaining pin came out of the tow bar on one side and resulted in the tow vehicle becoming uncontrollable. I convinced myself this was operator error. Since then, I replaced the damaged tow bar with the equivalent tow bar from Etrailer. Again on Fri [XXX] the same thing happened again with a lost pin resulting in uncontrollable vehicle while travelling through Shreveport La. I firmly believe that this tow bar system has some design flaws that allows the retaining pins to dislodge while experiencing rough road conditions. This system is designed to flat tow a vehicle behind an RV. The RV in question is a 2024 Jayco Seneca rated to tow up to 10,000lbs. The vehicle being towed is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler with an estimated weight of 4,500lbs. The tow bar system mentioned above is rated up to 6,000lbs. I have contacted Etrailer and they have offered a refund. I think this system needs to be reevaluated for its safety designs. Seat belt pretensioner failed at less than 34,000 miles. Will not lock or retract
VIN: [XXX] I own a 2021 Jeep Wrangler that has 35K miles on it, very well taken care of and never off road. When i hit a bump my jeep shakes really bad to where it feels as if will make me crash due to it becoming out of control. I'm reading online this is a common problem with this jeep as described as (Death Wobble) A certified mechanic looked at my jeep and found that I have loose tie rod ends and my drag link is loose? My question is with an almost new jeep with not many miles on it is there a recall out with this issue? Seems so many other jeep owners are empiercing the same problem? What can I do to correct this? This is a manufacture problem, not mine and I shouldnt have to endure the repair bills Thank you [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 23V787000 (Electrical System), 24V111000 (Visibility) and 24V72000 (Electrical System); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact that a second notice would be mailed when the parts were available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
I was traveling on the [XXX] on Sunday [XXX] and while started smelling brakes and I got off at the service area and pressed on the brake pedal and the vehicle wouldn’t stop. I had no brake pedal and just heard a clicking sound. There were people everywhere and I didn’t want anyone to get hurt so I had no choice but to drive the vehicle towards a yellow pole which did stop the vehicle but I have been told after the car was towed to a shop that there is an error code B22A9 and believe it was caused by some ecu failure of some sort. The vehicle is in really bad shape and airbags also didn’t deploy. I would like this to be investigated as I would not feel safe in this vehicle if it’s repaired and returned to service. It is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and I am aware of issues being reported with the battery but nothing for this problem except for other mentions on the internet on owners having similar problems intermittently. The jeep will be towed to Pohanka Jeep in Salisbury Md. There wasn’t any warning lights. I give permission for the vehicle to be inspected at anytime. I feel this vehicle is a danger to the public safety being it was just serviced and inspected by a Jeep dealership 2 weeks prior and the brakes suddenly fall and now there’s a code with something to do with an ecu or electronics having to do with the brakes failing. Could have been killed in the accident or seriously hurt if I hadn’t exited off the road and used the pole to stop the vehicle. Thank you INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
With only 10,000 miles on the Jeep wrangler vehicle, we are experiencing the death wobble. We contacted Jeep and they advised us this was not covered under our warranty any longer since past 3 years. We had the dealership request reconsideration on our behalf since this is a known issue and they agreed to pay for 60% of the repair, however They should be liable for all of it since this is an ongoing issue with their vehicles specifically the 2021 year. Please assist us with getting this actually recalled and get reimbursement.
The electric motor system does not engage on my Jeep Wrangler 4xe Plug In Hybrid. When you press the accelerator pedal after a stop (e.g. at an intersection or to make a left turn), the Jeep electrical motor does not engage. The Jeep may drift into the intersection or oncoming traffic without motive force. After a period of time, the gas engine will engage. I estimate the delay to be about 30 seconds. I often depress the accelerator multiple times before the gas engine engages. This is extremely dangerous as the vehicle drifts into an intersection, and could potentially be hit by oncoming traffic. The vehicle shows an engine light identified as a voltage inconsistency in the main battery. It appears the entire electrical motive system is shut down, but the computer is still calling on it to operate. When it does not operate, the gas engine will start, but there is a significant and extremely dangerous delay. I have called the dealership and Jeep to request guidance on how to address this issue, but neither has been able to provide any assistance. They tell me there is a pending recall but no solution available.
I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL--VIN [XXX] . On Wednesday, [XXX], the vehicle suddenly and without prior warning overheated. I immediately parked the car. There were no obvious signs of leaks but we went and got some coolant and I put about 1/4 gallon of coolant in as it was low. I had the car towed to the dealership. The service advisor informed me that the issue was related to TSB 07-001-22 REV. B. They had to tighten the bolts connecting the inlet tube. As I searched on some Jeep Forums, I discovered that this issue was addressed with CSN ZD8, however, it's only applicable to certain VINs within 2021-2022. When I mentioned this to the advisor, she said my car wasn't affected by the recall. Clearly, this is a broader issue than just the VINs noted in the recall since this exact issue happened to my vehicle. I reached out to FCA and was assigned a case manager. After speaking with her, she informed me that she just talked with the dealership possibly providing cost assistance with the matter. I don't know why they're putting it back on the dealership when it's clearly a manufacturing defect. The dealership covered about 1/2 of the cost. My 2021 jeep wrangler unlimited started shaking uncontrollably at highway speeds, and whenever I hit a bump in the road. I took it to a dealership which shows no active recalls. The dealership ran a diagnostic a d claims it is a faulty steering wheel damper. As this is an ongoing issue from previous jeep years, I was hoping you could investigate.
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon accelerating on a main street to 55 MPH, the vehicle started wobbling excessively. The contact continued to drive the vehicle with caution. There was no warning light illuminated. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 71,000.
See attached document for complaint.
vehicle is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon The issue is Wrangler JL Corrosion Issue. I have noticed corrosion on hinges on the driver's door and drivers side hood. I see this as a possible safety concern if it continues to form corrosion.
Backup camera not working (intermittent). There are times when the backup camera just gives a black screen. This is a safety issue as we can't then see what person or thing may be behind us. This can cause great damage or injury to ourselves and others. The dealership looked at the issue twice, but could not get it to malfunction, and so had no idea how to repair it.
I was traveling at 55 mph on 4 lane highway and hit a bumo in the road. The vehicle began to shake to a point where it was nearly uncontrollable. I was able to get to the side of the road and stop. I then drove slowly and the shaking stopped. This was on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Further investigation indicated that this is a WIDE SPREAD problem with Jeep Wranglers. I have taken the vehicle to the local Jeep dealer who verified it the DEATH WOBBLE. It apparently is due to a malfunctioning steering damper. I have instructed the dealer to repair but they have indicated that there is no reimbursement for this problem despite its common occurrence on Jeep Wranglers
Extreme vibration from front end at highway speeds. Commonly referred to as Jeep 'Death Wobble'. Occurred in 2022, steering damper replaced. Problem has reoccurred.
The backup lights are no where near bright enough to safely backup at night. There is no easy way to upgrade the bulbs. This is a well know issue in the Jeep community with Wranglers. There are aftermarket solutions but I shouldn't have to spend 100's of dollars to remedy a design defect.
In the three years I have owned this vehicle I have had the steering damper replaced to correct uncontrollable vibrating of the steering wheel, commonly referred to as the “Death Wobble”. The issue occurs when driving at highway speeds and requires the driver to quickly slow down to stop the “wobble”. There is no warning light or detection, and the issue come on quickly. The dealer has identified the problem with the remedy being replacement of the steering damper. While this does initially fix the symptoms, it does not correct the problem, as I have had three dampers replaced in 24 months. This is obviously only a bandaid and not the correct fix for this dangerous problem. My opinion is that a recall is needed to allow for a proper repair.
I was driving on [XXX] in San Diego going 75 mph and I received a number of alerts and flashing and audible sounds. When I looked at the dash it had an alert that said performance unstable pull over place vehicle in park. I immediately lost power to the accelerator and the car started to slow so I pulled over on the shoulder. Luckily, I was in the right hand side lane in the carpool section, and there was a shoulder. If there had been no shoulder, I would’ve been stuck in traffic in the lane. The car would not restart and I had to have it towed from [XXX]. The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the contact experienced failure known as the death wobble. The contact stated that the vehicle started shaking violently after driving over a bump in the roadway, causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. The contact regained control of the vehicle once the vehicle had slowed down and the shaking ceased. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the model year vehicle was not covered under recall. The contact was then informed that the steering wheel stabilizer needed to be installed to prevent the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.
On several occasions the vehicle experienced the 'death wobble' this is a known issue and was recalled on earlier models but the 2021 has not been recalled. The suspension shakes aggressively out of nowhere at highway speeds. This is extremely dangerous! The entire car shakes and rattles aggressively on the highway, it is so easy to lose control of the vehicle! I could not get it to stop and had to dangerously pull over on the side of the highway!
After picking up the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe from the dealership for repairs to the rotors and struts and bearings, the Wrangler was running roughly. Before I was halfway home, I called the dealer back to explain the engine was running roughly, wasn't able to get over 40mph, and was acting as if it was going to stall or lose power. I stated I needed to bring it back because I wasn't going to be able to drive it like this. Before I got halfway back to the dealership, the Wrangler lost power and was making a noise as if it was going to blow up. I was barely able to get it off the side of the road and narrowly missed a rearend collision from the vehicle behind me. I was on a dark, heavily traveled two lane road during evening work traffic hours. Dealership did send a tow truck. This occurred late October of 2024. The vehicle is still at the dealership and is still not repaired or running as of today 4/25/25 although the dealer says they are working to locate the exact problem. The dealership state after initially suspecting the e-battery, it is an electrical problem but are unable to locate the exact location of the electrical problem. The dealership stated they have opened a ticket with Stellantis and that Stellantis sent a technician to examine the vehicle and determined that is indeed an electrical issue but did not know where the problem was or how to repair. It appears that the Wrangler is not repairable, and it is still under the manufactures warranty of 3 years/36,000. I have included service invoices that show there were 2 other incidents where the Wrangler would not start. In one other incident, the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. Just before the vehicle lost power, multiple warning lights began lighting up the dashboard, including (believe it or not) a turtle. I am uncertain as to what else came up, it was cold, dark and I was on a heavily traveled road during work traffic hours. A Sheriff's Department deputy did respond to my location.
Vehicle stops at low speed and will not move. When placed in park it will not shift back into drive. Hybrid charge lights flashing and several warning lights display on the dash. The dealer is waiting on parts that Jeep says are back ordered indefinitely. Dealership say keep driving it. Jeep is looking for the parts but have not addressed the significant safety risk of shutting down in the roadway and unable to move. I have to shut the vehicle down in the roadway and wait to restart the vehicle to clear the issue. It will not even allow me to pull the emergency transmission release when this condition occurs to move the vehicle out of the roadway.
On [XXX], I was in Fort Lauderdale, FL for vacation with my 2 friends. I was driving for about 20-30 minutes on the road, got on the highway and noticed a rubber smell. I got off the highway. I still noticed the smell did not go away. So I opened the windows & turned off the AC. Then I saw white smoke coming from the vents and smoke coming from the right side of the hood, in front of the passenger side. I proceeded to pull over and parked the car. We exit the car & saw smoke/flames coming from the right passenger side & underneath the car. I called 911. There were no warnings or indications on my dashboard that something was wrong. I got my car serviced a month prior to this fire at a certified Jeep dealership. My car was deemed a total loss by my insurance. This was completely a safety hazard to myself, two friends and the public. Luckily, there was a fire department just a few buildings down. They arrived shortly after the 911 call and put out the fire, preventing further damage to the surroundings. It was terrifying but thankfully we are all safe. This has happened several times and I have spent so much money trying to fix the issue but i dont seem to be able to do so. Whenever I am driving my Jeep on any road at speeds above 55 miles per hour the front wheels begin to vibrate violently and shake the car. After researching this is called "Death Wobbles." It is very scary when it happens and even more so when I have my children in the car. It feels as if the car is losing control and have been thrown off the road a couple of times due to the loss of control. I am worried and scared to drive my Jeep around due to this oscillating movement in the wheels and I am no longer understanding what could be the issue. My guess is the Jeep was manufactured with an aluminum gear box instead of a steel gear box. I think it is unfair to have to fix issues like these out of pocket, especially since I am still Making payments on this vehicle. This has happened many times but it began in fall of 2024.
My instrument cluster went blank while I was driving on several occasions and I felt very unsafe and had to pull over to safety. Once I shut the vehicle off and restarted it the cluster returned to normal condition but then it happened again. I took it to the Jeep service center and they told me there was no recall 30B on my vehicle. Now what should I do?
Driving on an Interstate Highway in Florida, hit a small "rut" in the roadway at Highway speeds and the front end started shaking "VIOLENTLY" to the point I though the vehicle was going to "Roll Over". I had to slow down, switch from the center lane of a three lane highway crossing over the outside lane then onto the shoulder of the Highway, get the speed down from 70 to 50 mph before the "Violent Shaking" stopped. When speaking with a service center for Jeep I was told this is a "KNOWN ISSUE" with the 2021 Jeep Wrangler but there is no recall for the vehicle year 2021 BUT there were for other vehicle years, which I find UNBELEIVABLE!!!! As a retired Police Officer I will tell you this is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY OR SOMEONE WILL GET KILLED IN A CRASH!!!
I purchased my Jeep March 14th 2024 I purchased my Jeep as a buy back that had already been fixed. I purchased an additional 6000 warranty to be double protected. I received a letter from FCA on 10.18.2024 stating the 95B recall letting me know my vehicle can catch on fire at anytime. They also have no fix for this issue. I want them to buy back my jeep due to this extremely dangerous recall and they refuse. I cannot begin to explain how unsafe I feel on a daily basis. This has given me extreme anxiety that I now have to take daily medication for. I think it’s criminal that they will not buy back my jeep! There has to be a class action lawsuit if not I’ll hire my own attorney. This is beyond criminal.
On October 17th. The vehicle exhibited serious electrical issues when I attempted to start it in my school parking lot. Upon pressing the start button, the car would not start, and all electrical items began malfunctioning. The lights inside and outside the vehicle were flashing, the windshield wipers activated on their own, the horn was beeping intermittently, and the car was emitting alarming noises. The situation escalated when the tow truck driver arrived. He was unable to start the vehicle. Instead, the engine produced a loud revving sound, as if it were about to blow up. This experience was not only frustrating but also alarming, considering the potential safety risks. The dealership said they will get to it as soon as they can, but are 7-10 days booked.
My 20214XE Hybrid from the day I bought it was often saying "electric not available" There was a potential fire recall last winter that took four months to remedy, during that time we were told not to charge it, park in our garage, park near our home/structures or park by other cars. I purchase a hybrid that I'm not able to use as a hybrid. Finally, got the repair in the spring. Literally, two months later, it starts doing all kinds of dangerous things. I would come to a stop or be in the middle of a turn and would have no power whatsoever, gas pedal to the floor and going nowhere and then would lunge forward. Took to the dealer, computer said CRITICAL hybrid battery overheating, the original repair clearly didn't work. Eventually, it was approved for hybrid battery being replaced. All was well until 2 weeks ago when it got "jeep death wobble", violently shaking back and forth at about 60mph. They did repair it but informed us that there is ANOTHER RISK FOR FIRE RECALL, do not charge it or park in garage, etc. etc. I have a vehicle that is a risk for BURNING MY HOUSE DOWN, this is multiple times and unacceptable. I also purchased a hybrid that I am not able to use as a hybrid.

I had the most recent incident driving Westbound in the evening hours shortly before Sunset around October 10, 2024. It appears the sunlight from the setting sun triggered my adaptive cruise control and forward collision alert and triggered an alarm sound and activated emergency braking at the same time. I have had two previous incidents like this. One at the exact same location on my commute home at around the same time and maybe a week before. A third occurrence was on an Eastbound morning drive with the rising sun. All three incidents triggered emergency braking from a speed of ca. 65mph. I was able to react fast enough to deactivate the ACC by lightly pushing the brake pedal and could avoid serving or complete stopping of the vehicle. Luckily during all incidents I had no close traffic behind me, otherwise the incidents could have caused a rear end collision.

I saw in the news on 9/30/24 that my 2021 Jeep 4XE Wrangler was recalled due to a safety issue (Jeep could catch fire). No information was available that day indicating whether my Jeep was included in the recall. I called my local Jeep dealer and they had no information. I waited for more information to be released on 10/1/24 and saw nothing. I chose to park my Jeep outside and not charge because of what I had heard in the news. I called Mopar on 10/2/24 and was told that the VIN numbers had not been released for the recall but would be released on 10/3/24. I checked my VIN on that day and saw that my vehicle was included in the recall. I called my Jeep service center and was told that they don't have the parts for the recall and they may not be available for months. I asked if I needed to continue to park outside and not charge and was told they don't know anything about that. I called Mopar on 10/4/24 and was told that there is no remedy available and that I do need to park outside and not charge due to fire risk. What if I did not watch the news? What if I did not make these calls? This is safety concern if very alarming to me. I am now stuck with a Jeep that I can no longer charge (which is why I bought it) and I am concerned it could catch on fire and there is no timeline on the fix for this hazardous situation. This is the second recall for a fire hazard for this Jeep. How do I know this time it will be fixed? Thank you for your attention to this frustrating and dangerous situation.
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V720000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the vehicle was in Hawaii and was unable to be shipped back to the residence because with a recall that could result in a fire. The contact stated that the vehicle had overheated while driving, and the lights on the instrument panel flashed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 28,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
My instrument panel is not working, it went completely black, then it flashed on and off while driving, now it is completely black again. I can't see how fast i am going can't tell how much gas i have in the tank, and all the warning lights won't work, this caused me to run out of gas on the side of the highway and have to have someone being gas and put in the tank risking getting hit, not to mention it is just unsafe for the instrument panel to not work
