While driving higher speeds (45 mph+) I have had my vehicle start shaking very violently which results in me having to slam on my breaks to gain control of my vehicle. When this happens I have been traveling on the highway or interstate which puts other drivers at risk due to me unexpectedly having to come to a halt to gain control of my vehicle. I have taken my vehicle to the mechanic multiple times (dealership twice and local mechanic twice) and I have had everything replaced on the front end that could cause this and it is still happening. Steering dampener has been replaced twice in a year. Mechanic seems to believe that there is a design flaw in the vehicle that is causing it at this point. There is no warning message or anything that gives me any warning. I am scared to drive my vehicle on the highway or interstate.
Jeep death wobble occurs in my 2021 jeep wrangler. Currently recalls are for vehicles up to 2020. While driving at highway speeds and the vehicle rides over a small bump the front end shakes excessively until speed is dramatically lowered.
Basically stated, death wobble, after looking up symptoms. At 65 mph on the highway, hit a bump and the entire jeep shook uncontrollably. I just purchased it used not 10 minutes prior to the incident. The dealership failed to mention this and sold it as-is.

This is a 2021 Jeep with 23,000 miles on it. We inherited the Jeep after my father in law that passed away a few months ago. My wife was coming from Hampton Virginia going through the [XXX]. She hit a bump in the tunnel at 55 miles in hour and the steering wheel stated to shake. Se managed to slow down and the shaking slowed down to were she could get out of the tunnel. The vehicle was towed home. After reading some articles about this problem "Death Wobble" I contacted the local Jeep dealer on Military Highway in Norfolk Va. The service department told my wife it would be 250.00 to look at the problem and would return the 250.00 it its under warranty. I was driving off the lot entering the interstate when the steering started wobbling and pulling upon accelerating and likely hitting a bump. Took back to dealership and 2 mechanics drove it and one with me in which nothing really happened compared to the surprising first incident. They are not a Jeep dealership but reassured me all normal for Jeep but will do whatever it takes to make right. Could ask them to replace damper or tracking rod but what if not the problem. I have 2 weeks to decide what to do. Otherwise it has been great but I know there was a recall on certain jeeps “death wobbles” it was certainly scary.

Drag link and tie rod links failed under 50,000 miles. This has caused an extremely unsafe driving scenario for both occupants and other drivers. This is a well known issue within the automobile community, condition is nicknamed death wobble. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership for the issue and diagnosed. The manufacture refused any help to remedy the issue knowingly putting my family in danger. No warnings given within the vehicle. Issue arised on the highway traveling at 70MPH shaking the vehicle off the road.
While traveling at highway speed crossed a road expansion joint and the vehicle began to shake. On this particular trip of approximately 250 miles, It only occurred at these higher speeds. Slowing down eliminated the "Death Wobble." A TSB has been issued that possibly addresses this issue. A review of the internet indicates that this problem has been persist and prevalent for this car model for over a decade, and is a safety issue. This should trigger a recall to address this problem.

On several occasions the vehicle experienced the 'death wobble' this is a known issue and was recalled on earlier models but the 2021 has not been recalled. The suspension shakes aggressively out of nowhere at highway speeds. This is extremely dangerous! The entire car shakes and rattles aggressively on the highway, it is so easy to lose control of the vehicle! I could not get it to stop and had to dangerously pull over on the side of the highway!
Driving on an Interstate Highway in Florida, hit a small "rut" in the roadway at Highway speeds and the front end started shaking "VIOLENTLY" to the point I though the vehicle was going to "Roll Over". I had to slow down, switch from the center lane of a three lane highway crossing over the outside lane then onto the shoulder of the Highway, get the speed down from 70 to 50 mph before the "Violent Shaking" stopped. When speaking with a service center for Jeep I was told this is a "KNOWN ISSUE" with the 2021 Jeep Wrangler but there is no recall for the vehicle year 2021 BUT there were for other vehicle years, which I find UNBELEIVABLE!!!! As a retired Police Officer I will tell you this is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY OR SOMEONE WILL GET KILLED IN A CRASH!!!

Jeep Death Wobble. While driving at 65 mph on the freeway, I drove over a small bump in the road. My vehicle started to shake uncontrollably. The shaking would not stop until I slowed down to under 30 MPH. This is very unsafe to do while driving on a busy CA freeway. The first time this shaking happened my vehicle had about 26,000 miles. Within the next 1000 miles of driving, the wobble has happened approximately 10 more times, one of which the vehicle went off the road into a ditch. I contacted Jeep and they said they would not fix the problem because the 3-yr/36,000 mile warranty expired. I asked if they were ok with having unsafe vehicles on the road and they said "yes". The front suspension is the system that failed. My safety was at risk when the vehicle was shaiking and went off the road. The safety of other drivers was at risk when I had to slow down to under 30 MPH to get my vehicle to stop shaking. The vehicle was taken to a Jeep dealership for inspection/repair but they would not diagnose the problem without me pre-paying a $250 fee. The vehicle was taken to an independent service center and the problem was confirmed. The vehicle was not inspected byt he manufacturer, police, or insurance. There were no warning lights or symptoms before this problem first appeared.
The front and rear driver side shocks were both leaking oil discovered by the local Jeep dealership service department. This looks to be a common occurrence as others with same make, model, and year have also experienced this problem with the leaking shocks. This failure in the shocks did cause a vehicle wobble at higher speeds while on the highway. Both shocks were replaced.
When I encounter a bump in the road or uneven pavement at highway speeds, the jeep begins to wobble violently (being shook like a bag of popcorn). I have to release the gas and slow down for it to stop. This has happened numerous times over the past 2 years. I didn't report it previously as I thought it was just a jeep thing and poor manufacturing. Now that I have become aware that it is prevalent in the Wrangler for years and most likely a part (suspension damper or bushings) issue, I am reporting it.
