Jeep has only 10K miles on it, Was on Highway and Started to violently shake, went to side of road it stopped and then once driving started again. Death Wobble
Vehicle dropped off at the McGovern Chrysler Jeep dealership in Newton, MA on March 31, complete transmission failure, vehicle has active recall 25V-741 and resolved recalls including 25V-766 (engine sand contamination affecting propulsion).
Parked my 2023 Wrangler 4xe for about three hours. When I started driving again the brake pedal was hard and it took way longer than normal to stop. No warning lights, no codes on the OBD reader. Toggling max regen on and off made no difference. Power cycling the vehicle didn’t fix it. Pads are warm so the calipers are engaging, but there’s very little stopping force behind them. I would guess there is an electrical issue with the regenerative breaking system or brake vacuum.
I own a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN: 1C4JJXR66PW627097). The instrument cluster/dashboard intermittently shuts off while driving, resulting in complete loss of speedometer, warning indicators, and critical driver information. This creates a significant safety hazard, as I am unable to monitor vehicle speed or receive warnings while the vehicle is in motion. In January 2026, I took the vehicle to the dealership for this same issue. The instrument cluster was repaired under warranty/customer satisfaction repair. However, the exact same problem has now returned. My vehicle is not currently included in Recall 30B, but the symptoms are consistent with that recall involving instrument cluster failure. I am concerned that this defect may affect additional vehicles not currently covered. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and consider expanding Recall 30B to include vehicles like mine. 1. The Hybrid Battery , yes, Jeep is at dealer since 3/12/25. After daily calls to get updates, including voicemails and emails to service rep and Manager several times, Finally was advised on 3/25/26 (13 days) that it needs the part and will be at least 4-6 weeks more, no loaner, no info, nothing else was provided other then to call Jeep cares to file a complaint--you can imagine how that went---they referred me back to the dealer but did open a complaint/ 2. was advised car could go on fire at any time, thank God I was not driving it at the time. 3. seems its a known common problem and current recall. 4. Inspected by Rockland jeep dealer and still sitting there. 5. no warning signs prior to car not starting. car is a lease and the lease expires prior to getting the car back, I called chrysler leasing and they directed me to call the dealer, called Jeep cares and they advised still waiting on rental authorization so I can get a rental car (which I would have to pay for and trust they will reimburse me- after all this, I do not trust them) , also they said to call the dealer after opening up a case. Bottom line, I am 16 days in , with 4-6 weeks to go with no car, no options as of this claim. I pay 700 a month for this lease and I will be out 2 months---I just asked them to extend it for the 2 months on them or keep the Jeep, Chrysler advised again to call dealer as they cannot do any of that. The dealer not advising me for 2 weeks what ( per Jeep cares) takes 10 minutes to diagnose, not providing a loaner after a week calling for one. I do not know what to do other then start to call lemon law attys?
Car began slipping not wanting to shift gears humming loudly and driving rough at 61k miles on a 2023. Being told it’s dclutch and possible transmission needed. No warning just out of nowhere
My 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has been in the shop at Tameron Jeep in Daphne, AL for 37 consecutive days. After having the recall on the hybrid battery software performed, an engine light came on. When I returned it to Tameron service department, I was told the diagnostic scan showed a fault in the hybrid battery due to the recall software update. It has remained at the service department for 37 days without remedy. The service department says they are waiting on Stellantis to advise them and that they feel like Stellantis "Star Connect" tech line is requiring their service tech to perform the same repeated tests again and again to avoid approving the hybrid battery replacement. I have called Jeep customer care, opened a case twice, escalated, requested area manager, etc., and currently there is no update, plan of action, or timeline for repair. The service department said even after the battery replacement is approved (it has not been yet), it would be more than 30 days to get the new battery. So in addition to the current 37 days in service, it could potentially be another 30-60 plus days. I have been unable to get any help, any plan, any updates from Stellantis. The service department has been very understanding but they can't do anything further without approval from Stellantis. I'm still making payments and insurance on the vehicle.

Steering damper has failed with 45,000 miles on vehilce and causing a dangerous shake on the highway affectionately konw as the "death wobble" among jeep owners. This was recalled in eariler models of my vehicle (2018-2021 4XE) but is occruing the same in my 20234XE. This part should have not worn out already and is causing a dangerous situation.
There is another recall 2nd one for this vehicle that now I cannot charge it . Park near other vehicles or in my garage due to fear of fire. Dealership says they are doing approx 1-2 a month and I am #59 on the list. I have not been offered a replacement vehicle. They told me I could not trade it in because it is “unsellable”.
Following 2nd battery recall, acceleration, especially with the electric on, is sluggish and then suddenly electric fails and gas engine kicks in with a lurch. Electric no longer has the power it did prior to the recall and this provides uncertain acceleration for entering freeway from onramps or during other periods of needed acceleration.
I am writing to formally report a serious issue with my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe following the second recall repair (Recall 68C) related to the high-voltage battery fire risk. In November 2025, my vehicle underwent the required recall service. The repair was completed at the end of December 2025. However, immediately after the repair, I began experiencing significant performance problems in Electric Mode. Specifically: The vehicle now has severely reduced power output when operating in pure electric mode. Acceleration is noticeably weak and inconsistent compared to its performance prior to the recall repair. The gasoline engine frequently engages even when sufficient battery charge is available and Electric Mode is selected. Before the recall service, the vehicle operated normally in Electric Mode without these issues. The current condition substantially affects drivability, fuel efficiency, and the overall value of the vehicle.
On 1/19/2026 I had my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe serviced at a Jeep dealership to have recall 68C corrected. I received a call from the dealership later that day stating a new battery was not needed, only a software update was needed. They completed the software update. On 1/31/2026 when I started my Jeep in the morning, the check engine light was on. After stopping at a red light, my Jeep felt like it was losing power. To get it to move, I had to push the pedal down to the floor, the Jeep jerked some and did drive but felt like it was going to shut down. I pulled in the parking spot. Turned the car off and tried to turn it back on. It would not start. The red battery light appeared, a symbol of a charger (accel.), and an error message stating, "service charging system". None the hybrid options were available and electronic mode showed not available. I had to have the Jeep towed to the dealership that recently completed the recall. The Jeep did start when the tow truck driver arrived, but I was worried that it would stall and leave me stranded on the beltway. On 2/2/2026 I received a call from the dealership stating the issue was with the battery and that it needed to be replace but it will take "some time" to receive. On 2/5/2026 I received a call from the dealership stating the battery should be received around 2/26/2026. I was reviewing online comments from other Jeep owners impacted by recall 68C and the issue that I experienced appears to be a common theme. Some reported it taking 4-6 weeks due to the battery not being available.
The hybrid propulsion system in my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe intermittently malfunctions while driving. The “D” (Drive) indicator on the gear selector begins flashing, and the engine RPMs suddenly decrease without warning. During these events, the vehicle loses propulsion power and responsiveness. After several seconds, the vehicle may return to normal operation. This failure affects the hybrid powertrain and transmission system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates a serious safety risk because the sudden loss of propulsion reduces the vehicle’s ability to accelerate or maintain speed in traffic. This is especially dangerous when merging, crossing intersections, or driving at highway speeds, as it increases the risk of collision due to loss of power and reduced vehicle control. The vehicle has been evaluated by a Jeep dealership service department. The dealership has not provided a permanent repair, and the manufacturer recall affecting the hybrid system remains open and unresolved. The recall repair has not been performed, and the hybrid malfunction continues to occur. The vehicle has been inspected by dealership personnel, but the issue remains unresolved. The dealership indicated that replacing the 12-volt battery may help, but no definitive root cause has been identified, and the hybrid system malfunction continues. There were no battery warning lights prior to or during the failure. The primary symptom is the flashing “D” indicator and sudden decrease in RPMs, followed by temporary recovery. This indicates a malfunction of the hybrid propulsion system. This unresolved hybrid system failure presents an ongoing safety hazard and loss of propulsion while driving.
OFFICIAL REPORT: UNJUSTIFIED DENIAL OF SAFETY REMEDY & DATA INCONSISTENCY - VIN: 1C4JJXN6XPW623043 I am filing this official complaint regarding a significant barrier to resolving Safety Recall 68C (Battery Fire Risk) and Recall 78C on my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. 1. DEBUNKING MANUFACTURER CLAIMS: Stellantis Middle East (Ref: FA-25274) has declined to perform the remedy, claiming authorized dealers in my region lack the necessary equipment. This is FACTUALLY INCORRECT. The manufacturer's own portal (jeep.com) confirms that Recall 04B (HCP Software Update) was successfully REPAIRED on this VIN by the local authorized dealer (Harlem Cars). 2. DISAPPEARING SAFETY RECORDS: I possess a prior screenshot from the official portal confirming that Recall 95B (High Voltage Battery) was also successfully REPAIRED by the same dealer. However, this record has recently DISAPPEARED from the active recall list on the manufacturer's website. This removal of a safety record, combined with the current denial of service, raises serious concerns about data integrity and safety compliance. 3. PROVEN TECHNICAL CAPABILITY: The successful completion of Recall 95B and 04B-both involving high-voltage systems and software-proves the dealer is fully equipped. Furthermore, Mopar Session ID: b27c4acf-bcff-4dbc-99ac-aba6477d31b1 confirms active, real-time communication between the dealer's WiTECH 2.0 tools and U.S. servers. 4. REQUEST: I request NHTSA to intervene and compel Stellantis to provide the necessary software permissions to the local dealer to resolve the 68C fire hazard and the IDCM replacement immediately.
two issues. the first involves shaking and veering which continues since the purchase and this is the fourth time i have had concerns with this. vehicle it shakes at any speed and violently if i dont let up off the gas. the second issue occured while driving on the 5 freeway with the speed control on and suddenly there was a loud boom thud sound behind the front seet like running over a tire or something, the vehicle began to slow i applie gas and noticed the panel radio etc all working but a message appeared to stop or pull over and park and restart; however when i looked down to see if was in gear and it was in D and blinking like it does in park assist. the screen also ramdomly swithche the view. vehicle is currently in the dealership.
Over the past two days, the vehicle has intermittently displayed an Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system error message while driving. At the same time, the brake pedal becomes extremely hard to press, as if the brake booster or power assist is not functioning. When this occurs, it requires significantly increased force to slow or stop the vehicle, creating a serious safety hazard. The issue appears randomly and then resolves on its own. The vehicle starts normally, but the brake assist failure and ESC warning recur intermittently without warning. No modifications have been made to the braking system. I lightly tapped my house due to the sudden loss of braking power. No accident with another vehicle or person.
Lost all power to vehicle after driving for approximately 40 minutes, around 60-70 MPH. I was driving on the highway and then lost all power. I was able to pull off of the interstate and got a few blinking messages. The only one I remember was "Shift to P to Start". I could not accelerate at all and probably had less than a minute to get to safety before the car coasted to a stop and I was forced to put the car in park and turn it back on. It seemed like a forced restart on a computer but you could not choose the time or place to do it and there was very little warning. This is a huge safety issue!
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon pressing the Push to Start button to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the battery was replaced; however, the failure recurred approximately 3 months later. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start; however, the interior lights, the exterior lights, the windshield wipers, and other electrical functions were engaged unintendedly. The gear shifter was locked in park(P). The contact was unable to turn off the vehicle or to lock the vehicle manually or with the key fob. The contact noticed an abnormal relay sound coming from underneath the hood. The contact stated that the failure persisted for 13 hours, from morning to evening, until both batteries were completely drained. The vehicle was towed to Peach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (528 South Blvd, Brewton, AL 36426) to be diagnosed and repaired, but the diagnostic information was unavailable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but declined to cover the cost of the repair under the warranty. A case was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.
My wife and I were driving to the dealer to have a safety recall service performed on her Jeep Wrangler 4XE. We had just merged onto the highway, I was in my car, behind my wife in her Jeep. Less than a mile onto the highway, my wife suddenly slowed down and moved to the right lane. As she moved over to the right lane, I saw her front tire violently wobbling back and forth. We slowed down to 30mph on the highway and after approximately 30 seconds the problem seemed to resolve. We limped our way to the exit (about another mile) and to the dealer about 1/4 mile off the highway. When my wife got out of the car she was still shaking, rattled by what had just happened. When we described what happened to the service center they responded "oh, you had the death wobble." After some research, I watched several videos about the death wobble, which confirmed what I had just seen. What if my wife had panicked and pulled over into another car in the right lane? What if she was on a small 2 lane highway and veered off the road and down an embankment? There were no warning lights or messages on the vehicle indicating any problem prior to this happening. This happened with ZERO warning and was terrifying to watch, let alone my poor wife experiencing first hand. The Jeep dealership has run diagnostics and report it is a bad steering damper. More than 3 weeks later the car remains at the dealership, awaiting repair of not only that, but also the safety recall fix for the hybrid battery. Communication from the dealership has been vague and suspicious in my opinion. They repeatedly have said they are waiting to hear from jeep on what to do next. My research indicates a previous class action suit relating to this "death wobble" issue on previous models. How does something this dangerous still happen on a 2023 model car with 19000 miles in 2025. I'm shocked at how casually the dealer and manufacturer have addressed this issue.
The high-voltage battery system on my Jeep Wrangler 4xe malfunctioned and is subject to Recall 25V-741 (68C). The vehicle has been under safety recall for battery fire risk for months, with instructions to park outside and avoid charging due to fire hazard. On December 29, the recall remedy failed and the vehicle was rendered completely undrivable (“bricked”) at the dealership. I was informed that hybrid battery components/repair parts are not available and there is currently no way to return the vehicle to a safe, operable condition. The vehicle cannot be moved or driven and remains stored outside. This defect creates a direct safety risk to me and others. I am unable to charge or operate the vehicle normally, and I have been advised by the dealer that the recall repair cannot be performed because there are no available batteries or parts. This leaves me without transportation and continues the safety risk identified by NHTSA, with no practical remedy or timeline. The problem has been confirmed by a Jeep dealer, and I have written documentation showing the vehicle is non-drivable due to the recall condition. I have also attempted resolution with Stellantis/Chrysler Capital without success. I request NHTSA investigate the lack of remedy availability and failures related to Recall 25V-741/68C for affected owners whose vehicles are now immobilized.
Two months ago the vehicle decided to not work at all. Couldn’t turn it on couldn’t move it. Had to have it towed where they kept it for 3 weeks and said it was main battery and replaced it. Fast forward to yesterday 12/29 and the engine light came on again. Waiting for dealership to contact when they’ll have loaner vehicle. But this is the second time in 2 months the engine light has come on. We bought the vehicle in September a month later in the shop. Now again going back to the shop. This vehicle has UNDER 30k miles and I’m not a a very happy customer right now.
This is the third time my vehicle has been recalled for battery issues. Twice it has been noted that I should not drive, charge, park my vehicle in my garage, or park it near any building or person because of vehicle fire risk. In both 2023 and 2024 they performed a software update and yet this issue still persist. In 2024, since they didn't have a fix for the problem they said we should not drive our vehicle and I was without a vehicle for 2 months. Now in 2025 they are recalling for the same fire issue for the third time. Again, I am advised not to drive, not to charge, not to park in my garage, and to keep the vehicle away from people and buildings. I have again been without a vehicle for almost a month. I spoke to the dealer this morning and again they have a software update as a fix. I asked to have my battery replaced since the two previous software updates did not fix the issue. They said they were only authorized to do the software update and Mopar would need to authorize a battery replacement. Spoke to Mopar and they say they will do the software update and only replace the battery if needed. I do not find this acceptable. I do not feel that my car is safe to drive especially with my elderly parents, children, or pets inside and yet Mopar will not authorize the replacement of my battery. I feel that after two software updates that did not fix the issue and continued vehicle fires that a battery update should be mandated, not another software update. I now have a care I don't feel safe to drive. Florida Attorney General's Office Lemon Law Hotline suggested I report this issue here.
We have had this recall for over a year and now the dealer is saying that the vehicle can't be driven and there is no timeline for a resolution. We are still required to pay our lease on the vehicle and the Jeep is not able to be driven. We are getting no help from the dealer we purchased it from or Jeep itself.
I am submitting this complaint regarding a safety concern with my Jeep following the completion of Recall 68C. Since the recall service was performed, the vehicle has experienced significant issues when operating in hybrid mode. While driving in hybrid mode, the vehicle repeatedly switches back and forth between hybrid and electric operation. When the vehicle enters electric mode, the RPMs will suddenly spike and the vehicle will call for the gasoline engine. When the accelerator pedal is pressed, the vehicle is unable to maintain electric power and immediately switches into gasoline mode. This behavior results in constant drivetrain shifting and erratic engine speed changes. The RPMs frequently jump from 0 RPM (electric operation) to approximately 3,000 RPM when the gasoline engine abruptly engages. The repeated transitions between electric and gasoline power create noticeable hesitation, jerking, and inconsistent acceleration. This issue began only after the Recall 68C service was completed and was not present beforehand. The repeated switching between propulsion modes appears abnormal and may pose a safety concern, particularly during acceleration or when merging into traffic where predictable vehicle response is critical. I am submitting this report so that this issue can be documented and investigated to determine whether the recall repair may have introduced or failed to correct a problem within the hybrid drivetrain system. 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Unlimited
While driving at about 55 mph my Wrangler shut down and dash read to put car in park to calibrate battery. I had to bring vehicle to side of road and try to restart. It did restart. I had a recall addressed at Marc Motors Sanford Maine service dept back in April 18, 2025. For recall for high voltage. Not sure why recall is showing incomplete? I am very scared to drive this car. I called the dealership in which directed me to call Jeep customer service. No one could help me. I was told I had to pay for a rental. I do not have such funds. In the mean time I am forced to drive an unsafe vehicle that shuts off anytime while driving. I'm leasing this vehicle from Stellantis and still have no help or support. I'm afraid to drive this car. I have no other means of transportation. I need to be able to transport to my job. I was told by dealership and Jeep customer service that there is no solution to fix such recall. On 11/7/25 I brought my Jeep Wrangler 4xe for the two active recalls and an oil change. The battery recall could not be done. The motive power was supposedly fixed. Since then there has been a new problem. The Jeep gets to the point of stall (like the motive power issue) however right before the stall it surges. This really caught me off guard the first few times and I barely avoided three accidents. Now I know when it feels like it is going to stall to be prepared to slam on the breaks. However this is not really a good situation they really need to do a full recall to fix this thing. I noticed you gave an open investigation and I think it is a separate issue from the loss of motive power issue and I think the fix for the motive power problem has exacerbated this problem of lurching/surging that I have told my dealer about no fewer than three times. The most recent almost stall and surge happened this morning as I was merging into a rotary and again because of that surge I almost lost control of the vehicle.
This vehicle has a serious recall (the car can start itself on fire) and there is no fix. The value of the car tanked, and nobody wants the vehicle. I dont feel safe in the vehicle, but I am stuck in it due to unfixable recall and dealerships being unwilling to trade for it.
"Vehicle is subject to Recall 68C (Fire Risk). Manufacturer states remedy is 'Not Yet Available.' I am instructed not to charge the battery and to park away from structures. I cannot safely park the vehicle at my home or use the electric propulsion I am paying for. The vehicle presents an immediate fire hazard while parked."
After pressing the start/stop button to start the vehicle, it immediately began making a loud and unusual noise. Recognizing that this was not a normal sound, I pressed the start/stop button again in an attempt to turn the vehicle off. However, the vehicle did not disengage and would not shut off as expected. The noise continued and became louder, and smoke began coming from the sides of the vehicle and from underneath. When the hood was opened, there was very thick white smoke coming from the engine compartment along with a strong burning smell. The smoke was too thick to determine whether there were any visible flames. After a short period of time, the engine finally disengaged on its own, but the smoke continued for a period of time after the vehicle shut off. The exact cause of the shutdown is unknown. We did not attempt to restart the vehicle. After the incident, there was visible melted plastic material and residue on the concrete beneath the vehicle, consistent with something overheating or melting in the engine compartment. The vehicle was not driven after this incident and was towed to the nearest dealership for inspection, where it remains pending further evaluation.
On 12/06/2025, I purchased a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe from a Chrysler Jeep dealership in Myrtle Beach, SC. Recall 68C (NHTSA 25V741000) had been published on 11/05/2025 — one month prior to my purchase. The recall involves high voltage battery cells with separator damage that may cause a vehicle fire while parked or driving. A Stop Sale order was active on this VIN at the time of sale. I raised the recall and fire risk during the purchase. The salesperson responded that "a fire could happen in any car" and continued to minimize my wife's specific safety concerns through sustained pressure until we agreed to purchase. No documentation was provided showing the recall had been remedied prior to delivery. The recall remains OPEN as of today. Third-party vehicle history data confirms Stop Sale: YES tied to 68C. We cannot charge the vehicle or use it as intended. We are unable to obtain timely service — the dealership reports months-long wait times with no loaner vehicle available. The vehicle has not been inspected or repaired for this defect. No warning lamps were present at purchase. The vehicle was available for sale and delivered to us despite the active Stop Sale designation. The safety risk is ongoing. We are parked away from structures per NHTSA guidance and have ceased charging the vehicle. This complaint is being filed as part of a formal legal record.

Dear Jeep Customer Care and Chrysler Capital,I am writing to formally request the termination of my current lease agreement for my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, VIN: [XXX], due to the severe safety risk posed by NHTSA Recall 25V-74 l, concerning the high-voltage battery fire hazard.Due to the severity of this unaddressed safety hazard, I am unable to use the vehicle for its intended purpose.This significant safety defect renders inoperable as designed and intended for use, but more importantly the vehicle is unsafe and unsuitable for normal use, as it risks fire while driving or parked as stated in your recall notice.Your own notices further indicate not charge it as designed for normal function.Furthermore, I live in a townhome surrounded by other families now put at risk and cannot safely park this vehicle outside due to the extreme fire risk, making it impractical and unsafe for my living situation.This also puts others at risk when parked in parking structures at the airport that I frequent on a weekly basis.When the same recall occurred in late 2024, I waited for four months without resolution as Jeep developed a remedy.With the new recall, I immediately contacted Jeep customer service, who informed me on December 3, 2025, that no solution is currently available and none is anticipated until late Ql 2026 (as documented during my call with Riana, case #[XXX]).I was advised to contact Chrysler Capital regarding a potential lease suspension due to the seriousness of the recall.At 11am EST, I called Chrysler Capital and spoke with Maren (ID774178). After discussing my living situation and concerns about driving an unsafe vehicle with my [XXX], Maren placed me on hold and subsequently returned to inform me he had obtained approval fornot just a lease suspension, but a full early return with no further financial liability.He recommended that I visit my local dealer promptly to process the early lease return and advised me to discontinue further payments.Before concluding our conversation, I confirmed his instructions by stating, 11I want to confirm, I go to my local dealer for this lease return and upon processing of the paperwork I will not be liable for any more payments," which Maren affirmed.Following this guidance, I visited Classis CJDR in Pineville, NC, at 3pm on the same day, December 4th , 2025 where the necessary paperwork was completed.When I noticed the documents did not explicitly state that I was relieved from further payments, I consulted with the sales manager, Henry, who asked me to contact Chrysler Capital directly.Upon doing so, I spoke with advisor ID 756341, who then informed me that I would remain responsible for the remaining payments--contradicting the previous advisor's statement.Despite escalating the matter to his supervisor, Sumant (ID 735280),I was told there was nothing further they could do. I am filing this complaint regarding the serious safety hazard associated with the fire-risk recall on my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The official manufacturer recall letter states: “The high-voltage battery may become damaged under normal operation which could lead to a vehicle fire.” The recall instructions also direct me to: Fully discharge the high-voltage battery Not charge the vehicle Park the vehicle away from all structures because of the fire risk This indicates that the vehicle may spontaneously catch fire even when driven or stored as intended. I currently cannot safely store or use this vehicle at my residence. I am a 100% permanently and totally disabled Marine Corps veteran with PTSD, and this fire hazard and the required parking instructions significantly worsen my medical condition. There is no available remedy or repair at this time. I am requesting that NHTSA document this hazard, investigate Stellantis’ handling of this recall, and ensure owner protection given the severity of the fire risk and lack of resolution.

My vehicle, a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN [XXX] ), is under recall stating: “A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury.” “Owners are advised to refrain from recharging.” “Owners… are advised to park away from structures.” “The remedy… is not currently available.” Vehicle also has front-end instability at 65+ mph. I notice it starting to vibrate/wobble. Dealership will not provide a loaner until a remedy has been identified leaving my family in a very unsafe, potential life threatening position. I have several issues. 1. An independent auto shop noticed all 4 of my shocks were leaking when they did an oils change and tire rotation recently. I have had my other oil changes and rotations at the dealership prior to this and they never mentioned it. I’ve tried calling my dealership svc dept. about it 4 times now with no call backs. 2. The new tires that came with my jeep from the factory only lasted about half their treadwear. I had to replace prematurely at 30,000 miles bc they were causing a “deathwobble” on my jeep at speeds of 60-70mph and they were also messing with my alignment which I paid the dealer to try to fix but they’ll couldn’t bc it turns out it was the tires the whole time but they’ll couldn’t bc couldn’t figure this out. The independent tire shop figured it out. 3. This is the most worrisome They just sent me another recall about the high voltage battery pack being dangerous and poasibly catching fire. It says not to charge it or park it near structures. This is the 2nd or 3rd recall of this sort and it’s not allowing me to use the electric features on my vehicle which I paid extra for when I bought it and I pay yearly for with insurance and taxes.. I need compensation or a vehicle exchange or a buyback so that I can use my vehicle as it is intended to be used. This is a clear violation of that. Please help me!

My battery recall was completed by my dealership (FCA 68C) and then once I received my car back my mpg dramatically dropped from an average of 32 MPG combined to at BEST 28 MPG combined. The recall states that they will do a software update for the battery and that if it is not resolved then they will replace it. My concern is that now my MPG is so much lower, what software update was completed? Did this reduce the capacity of my battery in order to prevent if from overheating/possibly igniting? Is FCA cutting corners in order to prevent having to replace the entire battery when they should be doing so? I also noticed that my car is NOT switching to electric motor when it should be. I drive the SAME route to work every day and my battery would get me to work and back, now it does not. Now, about two weeks after my recall was complete it is back in the shop due to an engine light illumination.
I am reporting a safety-related electrical failure involving the heated steering wheel system in a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. While driving, the heated steering wheel malfunctioned and produced smoke from the steering wheel area. This created an immediate safety concern due to the presence of smoke and the potential for electrical overheating or fire in a critical driver control component. This was not an isolated incident. The same system required a prior repair under warranty in late 2023. Despite that repair, the failure recurred in late 2025 with more severe symptoms, including overheating and damage to electrical components. The vehicle was taken out of service for repair, and the total time out of service related to this issue was approximately 115 days due to parts delays and repair time. The problem was confirmed and repaired by authorized dealerships, including replacement of the steering wheel and related electrical components. There were no meaningful warning indicators prior to the failure. The issue occurred during normal operations. The repeated failure of the same system, combined with smoke and electrical malfunction in the steering wheel, raises concern about a potential defect that could pose a safety risk to drivers and passengers.
We are contacting you today because our 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe started to exhibit some concerning issues: On a fully charged battery, our Jeep started normally in hybrid mode. After 10-15 miles (down to 51% battery capacity), power switched to Internal Combustion Engine (Engine) After parking, upon restart and re-restart, various malfunctions appeared on dashboard: - Straight to engine power (engine noise), not on electric power (even when still in hybrid mode) - "Service charging system” alert - Engine light on - Plug light on - Battery light on - "Blind spot service unavailable, service required” - On right dial showing “Power" and “Charge", abnormal (?) temporary swing down towards “Charge" - AC not working (no warning, no alert) - Battery still showing 51% After parking, when attempting to charge: - Charging lights start off normally but stop (?) after 30 seconds, and - “Service charging system” flashes back on - Engine light on, Plug light on, etc - AC still not working -The Jeep is now not accelerating normally and seems to lack power -Breaking is unresponsive or lagging Please note, our vehicle was recalled under 95B and was serviced by Kendall Jeep on July 25, 2025 for 1895B182 Reprogram BPCM and Complete Drive Cycle Reoutine. We were told the software update was successful. We have made an appointment with Kendall Jeep to drop our Jeep off on December 8, 2025. We are concerned that our vehicle is unsafe to drive and that MOPAR has not provided a fix for this continuing issue. We included a pic of our dashboard and warnings.
In the last twelve months, the vehicle has been serviced six times for ongoing issues related to the hybrid system, yet the problems persist. Despite multiple visits to the dealership, the defect remains unresolved. My 2023 Jeep Wrangler has an active hybrid battery recall (68C), which according to NHTSA is an extension of the earlier 95B recall involving risk of fire related to the hybrid battery. Recall 95B was marked “resolved” after my hybrid battery was replaced on 11/20/2025, yet I now have another recall for the same safety-related issue. This indicates that the original defect was not properly resolved and suggests ongoing hybrid system safety risks. The recall repair for 68C is still listed as “no parts available,” leaving me unable to have this safety defect corrected. During this period, the vehicle has stalled, lost power, and displayed repeated warning lights associated with hybrid system failure and recall-related issues. These events have occurred while driving and present a serious safety concern. I have opened a case with Stellantis and have documentation of all service visits and all communication with the manufacturer. Stellantis denied my buyback request without providing written reasons and closed my case. They offered a small discount on a new vehicle that would require rolling over nearly $20,000 in negative equity, which does not resolve the underlying safety defect. They also offered two vague extended warranty options but refused to provide written details, and these do not correct the defect or address the safety risk. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle. I fear the possibility of injury due to the unresolved hybrid system defect, stalling incidents, and the ongoing fire-related recall with no available remedy. Stellantis has failed to correct the defect and has not provided an adequate or safe solution. Requesting assistance as this is an active safety issue involving repeated hybrid system failures and a recall with no remedy.
While driving at highway speeds 40 and over vehicle may begin to experience “death wobble” where deceleration and sudden stopping is required. It becomes very hard to control vehicle and loss of control may be possible. Vehicle violently shakes from front end after minor bump or skip in roadway. Although reporting for first time now has happened several times since I have owned the vehicle.
Last week the cat went in for the open recalls. However the electrical and propulsion problems are still going on so I think it’s more than software. The car jerks and come close to stalling almost like a standard transmission with the clutch not catching properly. Additionally, and this is separate and does not occur with the problem described above. The dashboard lights randomly go off. It has no correlation to anything just randomly shut off then come back on.
