The trunk seal is not functioning properly. Water gets into lighting and causes mold in truck.
MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE FOR SOME TIME NOW I HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR 3 YEARS AND AT FIRST THE HEADLIGHTS WENT COMPLETELY OUT AFTER REPLACING THE BULBS I NO LONGER HAVE ENOUGH POWER SOURCE GOING TO THE HEADLIGHTS TO USE MY LOW BEAMS ANYMORE. I TOOK IT TO KIA AND THEY TOLD ME JUST THE LIGHT BULB NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND MY WHOLE PASSENGER SIDE LIGHTING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS SOUNDS SO WRONG BECAUSE BOTH THE LIGHTS WORK BUT THEY ARE SO DIM THEY ARE NOT USEABLE. THE DRIVER SIDE WENT OUT FIRST THE CAR WAS STATIONARY THEN A MONTH LATER THE PASSENGER.
I HAVEN'T EVEN OWNED THIS CAR FOR 7 MONTHS YET AND I HAVE CHANGED THE LIGHTS 20 TIMES! AS SOON AS I CHANGE ONE THE NEXT ONE BLOWS AND THE PREVIOUS ONE WILL BLOW THE FOLLOWING THE WEEK. I'M TIRED OF MAKING PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE THAT KEEPS ACTING CRAZY WITH THE LIGHTS.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS SOMETHING IN THE ENGINE THAT NEEDED A RESET OR UPDATE. THEY FIXED IT WITH NO CHARGE AND TOLD ME TO COME BACK IF IT CAME ON AGAIN. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON THE NEXT DAY. I TOOK IT BACK AND WAS TOLD ONE OF MY CYLINDERS WAS MISFIRING SO THEY FIXED IT AND I WAS CHARGED. 3-4 MONTHS LATER MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I TOOK IT IN AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS AN OLD CODE STORED IN THE CAR. THEY CLEARED THE CODE AND TOLD ME IF THE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN TO BRING IT BACK. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON LESS THAN 48 HOURS LATER. THIS IS FRIDAY AUGUST 21, 2020, I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON AUGUST 29TH TO CHECK MY CAR. WHEN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON MY CAR HESITATES WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS. THE CHECK COMES ON AND GOES OFF. WHEN THE LIGHT IS OFF I DON'T EXPERIENCE THE HESITATION IN THE ACCELERATION. IT MAY COME ON AND STAY ON FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL GO OFF AND REMAIN OFF FOR 1 TO 2 DAYS. THIS WILL BE MY 4TH TIME TAKING MY CAR IN FOR THE SAME ISSUE.
MY CAR WAS PARKED OUTSIDE LIKE IT ALWAYS IS. WENT FOR A WALK AND WHEN I CAME BACK, MY CAR HAD BEEN ON FIRE. AFTER FIRE DEPARTMENT DID THEIR INVESTIGATION, IT WAS DEEMED ELECTRICAL. THE LIGHT IN MY VISOR OR THE WIRING TO IT HAD GONE WRONG. MY WHOLE FRONT OF THE SEATS IS TOTALED.
THE 2017 KIA FORTE MY CLIENT WAS DRIVING WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHICH RESULTED IN MODERATE TO HEAVY FRONT END DAMAGE, APPROXIMATE SPEED OF IMPACT WAS 20-25MPH, THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
WHEN COMING TO A STOP, OR SLOWING DOWN, THE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND THE CAR WILL DIE SUDDENLY. AT FIRST IT WOULD CRANK RIGHT BACK UP, BUT NOW IT IS GETTING MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO GET STARTED AGAIN. VEHICLE ALSO TAKES AWHILE TO GET GOING, EVEN PUSHING ALL THE WAY DOWN ON THE GAS, AFTER GETTING IT RESTARTED. *TR
CAR DRIVEN 300 MILES ON ONE TANK OF GAS, TIME TO GET GAS, GAS WON'T GO IN AND WHEN I TRY TO PUT GAS IN MY CAR , IT SPRAYED OUT ALL OVER ME AND THE CAR. VERY SCARY. I CAN'T GET GAS INTO MY CAR. THIS JUST HAPPENED TODAY. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE AND I FILLED UP FINE LAST WEEK. CAN'T DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE IT'S EMPTY AND WON'T FILL UP. *TR
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS BURN OUT EVERY 2-3 MONTHS, ONE AFTER THE OTHER. SOMETIMES ONE WILL GO OUT AND BE OUT FOR A COUPLE DAYS AND THEN COME BACK ON, BUT USUALLY THEY GO OUT AND STAY OUT UNTIL THE BULB IS REPLACED. *TR
MY CAR HAS BEEN PARKED AND EVERY TIME I GO OUTSIDE MY LIGHTS ARE ON. THE HAS BEEN GOING FOR A MONTH. I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS OUT OF MY HEADLIGHTS EVERY SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR THIS HAS GOTTEN TO BE COSTLY. WHEN I?M DRIVING SOMETIMES THE HEADLIGHTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WILL GO OUT. THESE LIGHTS HAVE HAD ME BUYING BATTERIES AND BULBS . *TR
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER AND GO OUT COMPLETELY. I HAVE TO FLIP THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH OR TAP THE COLUMN TO GET THEM TO TURN BACK ON . IT HAPPENS SEVERAL TIMES ON MY 32 MILE TRIP HOME FROM WORK AT NIGHT . IT HAPPENS IN MOTION OR STATIONARY. MAINLY WHEN I USE A TURN SIGNAL OR HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD .
I WAS PULLING OUT ONTO A MAIN ROAD. MY CAR COMPLETELY LOST POWER AND ALMOST STALLED. THE CAR BARELY MOVED FORWARD AND TBE RPMS WERE ERRATIC. I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A TRACTOR TRAILER. WHEN I FINALLY SPUTTERED INTO WORK, THE RPMS IN PARK WERE JUMPING BETWEEN 1000 AND 2000 RPMS. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR.. IT ONLY HAS 8,700 MILES...
I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AT THE END OF 2017. I HAVE TAKEN EXTREMELY GOOD CARE OF THE CAR. A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO, I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET SOMETHING COSMETIC FIXED ON THE INTERIOR. I PICKED UP MY CAR AND WHEN I GOT HOME I REALIZED BOTH HEADLIGHTS AND ONE BRAKE LIGHT WERE NOT WORKING. I TOOK MY CAR BACK IN AND THEY INSISTED THAT WHEN ONE LIGHT GOES OUT, THEY ALL GO OUT WHICH ISN'T TRUE. I INSISTED THAT THERE MUST BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND THAT I WANTED A TECHNICIAN TO CHECK IT SINCE MY LIGHTS WERE WORKING JUST FINE WHEN I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN. AFTER MANY DIFFERENT APPOINTMENTS AND INSPECTIONS IT WAS DETERMINED THAT IT WAS MY WIRING HARNESS THAT WAS BROKEN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. WARRANTY DIDN'T COVER IT. LESS THAN A YEAR LATER SAME THING HAPPENED ON THE LEFT SIDE, WARRANTY DIDN'T COVER IT. THE TECHNICIAN EVEN STATED THAT THE ENGINE GOT TOO HOT AND MELTED THE WIRES. HE WAS SURPRISED WARRANTY DIDN'T COVER THIS ISSUE SINCE IT HAPPENED ON BOTH SIDES WITHIN A YEAR TO A CAR THAT IS FAIRLY NEW AND REALLY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. HAVING BOTH HEADLIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHT NOT WORKING IS VERY DANGEROUS. ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING IN A DARK AND RAINY AREA. HOW HAS THIS HAPPENED TO SO MANY PEOPLE AND THIS VEHICLE HASN'T BEEN RECALLED? I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN KIA AND THINK THERE SHOULD BE SOME SORT OF CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR RECOURSE. AFTER READING ALL OF THESE COMPLAINS THAT ARE THE SAME, I AM SHOCKED KIA HAS NOT TAKEN CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.
HAD THIS CAR FROM THE END OF 2017. AFTER ONE YEAR THERE WAS A RECALL DONE ON IT FOR THE SPARK PLUGS AND COIL. NOT EVEN 7 MONTHS AFTER GET IT DONE THE NEXT SET THEY ADD IN THE CAR ALMOST BOTTOM OUT ON ME WITH MY CHILD IN THE CAR AND SOMEONE ALMOST RAN IN THE BACK OF ME. THEY FIX IT TOOK A WEEK TO GET MY CAR BACK. AND NOW I FEEL LIKE SOMETHING IS GOING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION I ASK THE DEALERSHIP IS IT TIME FOR SERVICE AND THEY SAID NO. I AM A LITTLE WORRIED ABOUT THAT. I SAY ON TOP OF ALL MY SERVICE TO THE VEHICLE.
BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AT THE SAME TIME. I CHECKED THE BULBS WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE FINE. IT SEEMS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE IN THE WIRING. I HAVE RESEARCHED IT AND IT IS FAIRLY COMMON. UPON CONTACTING KIA THEY CLAIM IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD SEVERAL INCIDENCE OF BEING "LOCKED" AT ONE SPEED. WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE GAS THE CAR WILL SPEED UP UNTIL REACHING 30-35MPH AND WILL NO LONGER ACCELERATE. THE GAS PEDAL COULD BE TOUCHING THE FLOOR AND THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE PAST 35MPH. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN SERVICED AT OUR LOCAL KIA DEALER IN THE EARLY FALL OF 2019. IT WAS SAID TO BE REPAIRED NOW LESS THAN 6 MONTHS LATER THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS SOMETIMES ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS.
WHEN I CAN TO A STOP WHILE CAR IS RUNNING MOST OF THE TIME THE CAR IS SPUTTERING AND WHEN I GO TO ACCELERATE IT SPUTTERS AND IT DOEST TAKE OFF NORMALLY UNLESS I PUSH DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL 1/2 TO FULL POWER WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS..... *TR
THE CAR IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD AND IT WOULD START INTERMITTENLY. SOMETIMES IT WOULD START WITH NO PROBLEM BUT SOMETIMES IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. I TURN THE IGNITION KEY AND I COULD BARELY HEAR CLICKING SOUND AND NOTHING. I AM REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ISSUE BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHEN AND WHERE I WILL BE STRANDED IF THIS HAPPENS. I HAVE LITTLE OVER 80000 MILES ON THIS CAR AND DEALER SAID THIS IS NOT COVER UNDER 100000 MILE WARRANTY. I THINK MANY OTHER KIA OWNERS HAVE SIMILAR PROBLEMS AND THIS HAS TO BE A RECALL ISSUE.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE DEC. 2017 WITH 318 MILES. VEHICLE BEGAN TO SPUTTER WHEN TRYING TO START. FIRST TIME, TOWED IN WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG. WENT HOME, NEXT MORNING THE VEHICLE SPUTTERED TO START. AFTER 3RD TRY & LOUD SOUNDING, I POPPED THE HOOD & THE ENTIRE ENGINE WAS SHAKING IN ITS CRADLE. TOWED IN AGAIN, DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED COILS MISFIRE & REPLACED. VEHICLE DUPLICATED THE SAME PROBLEM A WEEK LATER. I REPLACED THE BATTERY. VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. THIRD TIME, DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED FUEL PUMP BUT ENDED UP REPLACING THE ENTIRE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM BECAUSE REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP DID NOT FIX THE MATTER. THEY HAD MY VEHICLE FOR 2 FULL WEEKS. HAD THE VEHICLE BACK 2 DAYS, VEHICLE WOULD NOT START BUT CONTINUED TO SPUTTER. DEALERSHIP HAS NOW HAD MY VEHICLE 5 WEEKS, FIRST SAID THEY COULDN'T GET IT TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM BUT KEPT MY VEHICLE ANYWAY. THEN SAID COILS WERE BAD EVEN THOUGH THEY JUST REPLACED THEM 3 MONTHS AGO SOMETHING IS CAUSING THE COILS TO MISFIRE. I HAVE NO ANSWERS. EVEN WITH KIA CONSUMER AFFAIRS INVOLVED, NO ONE HAS AN ANSWER. AT ONE POINT KIA CONSUMER AFFAIRS CALLED TO ASK ME HOW THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP TOLD THEM THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE MY VEHICLE ANYMORE. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE A REPORT TO MY INSURANCE CARRIER. MY VEHICLE HAS 30,000. I'VE MAINTAINED REGULAR OIL CHANGES & OTHER REQUIRED MAINTENANCE AS SUGGESTED, FAITHFULLY.
WHEN I BRAKE, THE BRAKING LIGHTS DON'T TURN ON. I HAVE CHECKED THE FUSES AND THE LIGHTS BULBS AND THEY ARE FINE. YET WHEN I BRAKE, THE BRAKE LIGHTS DON'T TURN ON.
I ALREADY FILED A COMPLAINT ON THIS PREVIOUSLY, HOWEVER IN 2020 MY ENGINE FAILED STOP WORKING. AND I WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE IT OR FIX IT. I LOST MY JOB, I HAD TO GET A RENTAL CAR. THE CAR LOST SPEED WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD NOT GO ANYMORE..
3 WEEKS AGO MY VEHICLE WENT THROUGH ITS ANNUAL SAFETY INSPECTION HERE IN MASSACHUSETTS AND IT FAILED. THE PROBLEM HAS TO DO WITH MY REAR BRAKE LIGHTS WHICH WERE NOT WORKING. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRING WAS BURNED OUT DUE TO WATER GETTING INTO THE LINES. HE INDICATED THAT THE REPAIR WOULD PROBABLY BE COVERED UNDER KIA'S 10 YEAR WARRANTY. I PLAN TO REACH OUT TO MY LOCAL KIA DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM INVESTIGATE, AND HOPEFULLY REPAIR THIS DEFECT ON THEIR DIME. ANY INPUT OR RELATED ISSUES BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION WOULD BE APPRECIATED AS WELL AS IF YOUR ORGANIZATION HAS ISSUED A RECALL ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE.
ON TWO OCCASIONS I HAVE HAD THE TIRES BLOWOUT ON MY VEHICLE. ONCE WHILE DRIVING AND THE OTHER OCCASION WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE AND HAD NOT BEEN MOVED FOR THREE DAYS. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 27,000 MILES AND HARDLY ANY THREAD WEAR. THE TIRES ARE KUMHO 205/R16 55
WHILE DRIVING MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR BEGAN INCREASED VIBRATION. THE LIGHT WOULD GO OFF WHEN COASTING AND TURN BACK ON WHEN ACCELERATING. BY THE TIME I GOT HOME THE VIBRATIONS CONTINUED EVEN WHEN IN PARK AS WELL AS NOT ACCELERAING. ENGINE CODE P0303 WAS READ FROM THE ENGINE LIGHT. I HAVE NOW REPLACED THE SECOND COIL PACK ON A CYLINDER IN THE PAST 5 MONTHS.
ON 11/10/2019 IN N.C. THE TEMP DROPPED DOWN TO 29 DEGREES THE NEXT MORNING I GET UP TO START MY CAR AND THE BATTERY DRAGGED SO I HAD TO GET A BOOST. IT RAN ALL THAT DAY, THEN SUNDAY THE SAME THING APPENED AGAIN I HAD TO GET A BOOST. I WENT TO BUY A BATTERY AND ONCE THE BATTERY WAS TAKEN OUT WE NOTICED THE POSITIVE SIDE BOX (BOTTOM) HAD MELTED ONTO THE TOP OF THE BATTERY, SO MY BATTERY WAS DAMAGED BY THE BATTERY CABLE BOX.
INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE ANOTHER DRIVER FAILED TO YIELD AND CAUSED THE IMPACT ON 3 LANE ROAD GOING AT ABOUT 40MPH. AT THE POINT OF IMPACT, I WAS THROWN INTO THE STEERING COLUMN. THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY NOR DID THE SEATBELT LOCK TO KEEP ME FROM HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL. MINOR INJURIES SUSTAINED BECAUSE OF LACK OF PROTECTION. THE POLICE OFFICER ON SCENE NOTED THAT NEITHER SAFETY DEVICE WORKED IN MY VEHICLE. THE OFFICER EXAMINED THE BELT. BASED ON THE FACT MY CHEST WAS HIT BY THE STEERING WHEEL THE OFFICER IMMEDIATELY ASSUMED I WAS NOT WEARING A BELT AND ASKED ABOUT IT, BUT I HAD TO CORRECT THE OFFICER'S ASSUMPTION, INDICATING THAT I WAS WEARING MY BELT AND REPORTED TO THE OFFICER THAT THE BELT DID NOT LOCK. THE OFFICER ASKED ABOUT MY SPEED AND I REPORTED THAT MY SPEED WAS BETWEEN 35 AND 40 MILES PER HOUR. THE OFFICER OBSERVED THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND NOTED THIS AS WELL. THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED. THE CAR WAS INSPECTED AT TIME OF REPAIR BUT NO INDICATION OF A FAULTY AIRBAG OR SEATBELT OTHER THAN NOTING PRODUCT LIABILITY AND TO CONTACT MANUFACTURER.
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS 2 TIMES IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS. THE KEEP GOING OUT.
GOT IN MY CAR TONIGHT TO GO TO THE STORE AND MY HEADLIGHTS WOULDN'T COME ON. CHECL HIGH BEAM IT WORKED. I WAS IN MY DRIVE WAY AND JUST STARTED MY CAR TURNED ON LIGHTS AND NOTHING HAPPEN PARKING LIGHTS AND HIGHBEAM WPRKED.
2017 KIA FORTE [XXX], WHEN I HIT A BUMP, THE REAR END GOES TO THE RIGHT OF LEFT OUT OF CONTROL, ALSO I LOOSE POWER BETWEEN 40- 50 MPH. AT TIMES THE CAR WOULD SHAKE. AFTER ABOUT 60, 000 MILES THE NUMBER 3 CYLINDER MISFIRED. I REPLACED THE COIL PACK AND SPARK PLUG, HOWEVER I'M STILL LOOSING POWER, INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
I WAS DRIVING MY KIA FORTE 2016 IN A REGULAR STREET WHEN IT STARTED JERKING BEFORE IT STALLED. LUCKILY I PULLED UP QUICKLY ENOUGH TO AVOID BEING STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I WAITED FEW MINUTES THEN I STARTED IT AGAIN AND I DROVE OFF. I DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE, BUT I STARTED LOOKING INTO IT ONLINE WHEN I REALIZED OTHER KIA MODELS WERE RECALLED FOR THE SAME ISSUE.
THE TRUNK LOCK LATCH BROKE, WHEN I WENT TO KIA ABOUT THE PART THEY KNEW THE MAKE MAKE AND MODEL SAYING IT'S BEEN HAPPENING TO A LOT OF THOSE CARS .
IN THE LAST 1 1/2 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP I HAVE HAD MANY ISSUES WITH LIGHTS GOING OUT. FIRST BOTH BREAK LIGHTS WENT OUT AND I REPLACED THEM. THEN THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT KEPT GOING IN AND OUT. THE DRIVER'S SIDE BREAK LIGHT WENT OUT AGAIN SO I REPLACED IT AGAIN. NEXT THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT COMPLETELY AND I REPLACED IT. AFTER THAT BOTH HEADLIGHTS WERE FINE. A FEW MONTHS LATER THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT STARTED GOING IN AND OUT AGAIN. I REPLACED IT AND IT WAS FINE. THEN THE PASSENGER SIDE BREAK LIGHT WENT OUT. 7 WEEKS AFTER I HAD BOTH HEADLIGHTS REPLACED AND IN GOOD WORKING ORDER THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT. 4 DAYS LATER THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT.
MY CAR ENGINE STARTS TO SHAKE VIGOROUSLY FOR NO REASON AND IT HAPPENS AT RANDOM. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON SOMETIMES WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS IDLE AND DRIVING ON STREETS AND/OR HIGHWAYS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO SEE IF IT STOPPED TO HEAD BACK HOME OR IT DOESN'T STOP AND I HAVE TO GET HOME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BEFORE SOMETHING HAPPENS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET IT CHECKED OUT AND I WAS ADVISED THAT MY COIL PACK WAS BAD.I ASKED WHAT CAN I DO TO PREVENT THIS AND THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME 'THIS IS JUST SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS WITH CARS'. I'VE GOTTEN MY CAR FIXED AT A KIA DEALERSHIP TWICE AND THE PROBLEM CAME BACK LESS THAN A WEEK LATER EACH TIME. IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN AND I HAVE TO GO GET IT REPAIRED AGAIN. THIS BEGAN ABOUT A YEAR INTO HAVING THE CAR. EACH TIME I GET THIS REPAIR IT'S ABOUT $600. I ALWAYS GET ALL MAINTENANCE ON MY CAR, IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, I AM THE FIRST AND ONLY OWNER OF THE CAR AND THE EXPLANATION FROM THE DEALERSHIP OF 'THIS IS SOMETHING THAT JUST HAPPENS' IS UNACCEPTABLE WHEN I TAKE CARE OF MY VEHICLE. THANK YOU. I TRIED TO TAKE A VIDEO BUT IT DOESN'T SHOW THE SHAKING WELL, I CAN DEFINITELY FEEL IT THOUGH.
MY HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING BURNING OUT. I HAVE REPLACED THEM AT LEAST 5 TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 KIA FORTE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT PASS STATE INSPECTION BECAUSE THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TAIL LIGHT WAS OUT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIGHT BULB WAS REPLACED ON AUGUST 13, 2019 BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO OPERATE AT LEAST FIFTEEN TIMES SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED ON NOVEMBER 18, 2017. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE HEADLIGHT FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,729.
REAR BREAK LIGHTS DON'T WORK WHEN LIGHTS ARE OFF, BUT THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT DOES. WHEN LIGHTS ARE ON THE REAR BREAK LIGHTS ARE ON, BUT DON'T GET BRIGHTER WHEN THE BRAKE IS USED. ONLY THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT WORKS LIGHTS ON OR OFF.
HAD A SMALL SCRATCH TO FRONT OF VEHICLE STOPPED AEB SYSTEM FROM WORKING. HUTCHINSON KIA, ALBANY, GA CAN'T REPAIR IT BACK TO ORIGINAL AND WON'T REPLACE CAR OR REFUND MY INSURANCE MONEY, GOT TO CLOSE TO A STATIONARY OBJECT AT NIGHT HITTING IT WITH A SCRATCH ON FRONT GRILL
CAR WILL RANDOMLY HESITATE AND SHAKE WITH POWERLOSS MAYBE ONCE EVERY FEW DAYS. THIS WILL HAPPEN WHEN COMING TO A STOP THEN ACCELERATING AGAIN AFTER DRIVING FOR 30 MINUTES OR SO .CEL WILL EITHER NOT DISPLAY OR BLINK A FEW TIMES BUT GO AWAY (AND NOT SHOW UP ON THE HISTORY) MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DIAGNOSE. TOOK IT TO 2 KIA DEALERS, BOTH SAID THAT THEY'VE SEEN THIS ON A LOT KIA FORTES., THEY HAVE MADE THE RECOMMENDED REPAIRS BUT STILL HAVE THE ISSUE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HUNTSVILLE KIA (6519 UNIVERSITY DR NW, HUNTSVILLE, AL 35806 (256) 217-1700) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND A NEW ENGINE SPRING AND IGNITION CORD NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE 90,000.
I WAS GOING 65MPH ON HIGHWAY, WHEN ALL OF SUDDEN, I HEARD A LOUD POP ANF CAR STARTED SHAKING. THE HAZARD LIGHT CAME ON AND LOW TIRE PRESSURE AS I WAS TRYING TO CAREFULLY EXIT HWY. MY DRIVER SIDE TIRE WAS COMPLETELY BUSTED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIRE THAT HAS BLOWN. LAST YEAR IT WAS MY FRONT PASSENGER TIRE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW AND IT ONLY HAD 12MILES ON IT WHEN PURCHASED. MY CAR CURRENY HAD LESS THAN 20 000 MILES ON IT. ..IN BOTH EVENTS, I DID NOT RUN OVER ANYYTHING NOR OBSERVED ANY POTHOLES OR UNEVEN ROAD.
THE FINGER PRESS FAILS TO START WHEN PARKED IN HOT SUN. IT WILL THEN START WITH PRESSING THE KEY ON BUTTON- THEN A NOTICE APPEARS THAT THE KEY IS NOT PRESENT. BUT, CAR THEN RUNS FINE. WHEN I STOP ENGINE A NOTICE SAYS THE KEY BATTERY IS WEAK (BATTERY WAS REPLACED 4 DAYS AGO). LAST YEAR THIS HAPPENED AND SHOP FOUND AN INTERNAL SHORT IN THE SMART KEY ANTENNA. IT DID NOT OCCUR AGAIN THEN TILL ABOUT 2-3 MONTHS AGO.
CAR TURNS OFF WHILE DRIVING HAVE TO KIDS DEALERSHIP WONT DO ANYTHING BEEN GOING ON FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS
- LOW MILES AND STILL UNDER ALL MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTIES. - ENGINE WILL IDLE ROUGH, VIBRATING THE WHOLE CAR WHILE STATIONARY. DEALER COULD NOT REPLICATE. - ENGINE ACCELERATION IS POOR FROM STANDING, DANGEROUS IN CITY TRAFFIC. DEALER COULD NOT REPLICATE. - ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF WHILE TURNING LEFT IN LOS ANGELES CITY TRAFFIC, CAR IS COMPLETELY WITHOUT POWER. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS IN CITY TRAFFIC. DEALER COULD NOT REPLICATE PROBLEM. INSTEAD, DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT ENGINE IS LEAKING OIL. BS. THERE ARE NO OIL DRIPS IN MY PARKING SPACE. ANOTHER MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT MY CAR IS NOT LEAKING OIL. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THEY 'WILL WORK WITH ME'. MEANING THEY WILL LET ME PAY FOR EACH VISIT BUT THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR DRIVETRAIN WARRANTY. ENGINE BURNS OIL. ENGINE BURNS OIL. A NEW CAR SHOULD NOT BURN OIL. - ENGINE WILL SOUND LIKE A SEWING MACHINE WHEN DRIVING FROM STANDING AND TURNING THE WHEEL. DEALER COULD NOT REPLICATE PROBLEM. (THIS WAS LIKELY DUE TO ENGINE BURNING OIL, OIL LOW; AFTER REFILLING OIL, ENGINE WILL NOT MAKE THIS SOUND.) - I NOW MUST CHECK MY OIL LEVEL AT ALL TIMES BEFORE DRIVING AND REFILL OIL TO FULL MARK ON OIL DIP STICK. HATE KIA. - CAR CABIN IS TOO HOT TO DRIVE IN. METAL ECU AT BOTTOM OF STEERING COLUMN INSIDE CABIN IS 180 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. DEALER COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. HATE KIA.
WHEN DRIVING THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON CAUSES CAR TO LOSE POWER AND STARTS TO SHAKE I WAS COMING UP A HILL AND ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED HAVE TAKEN TO KIA PLACE TWICE NOW AND I WAS TOLD CAN'T BE FIXED UNTIL A RECALL COMES OUT THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR ME TO BE DRIVING WITH MY KIDS I PAY A GOOD PENNY FOR MY VEHICLE NOW CAN'T DRIVE IT BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE IT'S CONSTANT
THE FUEL DOOR WILL NOT OPEN WITHOUT ASSISTANCE. PULLING THE LATCH THE FIRST TIME WILL NOT OPEN THE FUEL DOOR. I MUST INSERT SOMETHING SUCH AS A CREDIT CARD, OR TRY TO PRY THE FUEL DOOR WITH MY FINGERS, AND THEN TRY THE LATCH AGAIN BEFORE THE FUEL DOOR WILL OPEN. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR MORE THAN 12 MONTHS.
THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN DRIVEN FOR OVER 300 MILES ONE THIS PARTICULAR TANK OF GAS, SO I'M CERTAIN THAT THE FUEL GAUGE IS CORRECT; THE GAS LIGHT IS ALSO ON. I PARKED AT A GAS STATION AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. I ATTEMPTED TO FILL THE TANK, BUT THE FUEL WILL NOT GO IN. THE FUEL SPLASHES BACK OUT AND WILL NOT GO INTO THE TANK.
IGNITIONS COIL SPRINGS PART KIA 27303 2E601QQK WAS REPLACED BY KIA DELALER AS PART OF A RECALL ACCORDING TO DEALERSHIP. WHEN I ARRIVED , SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THAT I WAS THERE FOR OIL CHANGE AND TWO RECALLS. I SET APPT. FOR OIL CHANGE, WAS UNAWARE OF RECALL TILL DEALERSHIP SERVICE ADVISOR MENTIONED. WHEN I CHECKED WITH NHTSA NO RECALL IS LISTED. KIA NEVER SENT LETTER REQUESTING WE BRING IN CAR FOR RECALL PARTS. IN ADDITION THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO 2ND PART REPLACEMENT DUE PART IS ON BACK ORDER. YDM REAR COMBINATION LAMP.
KIA FORTE DRIVERSIDE FRONT HEAD LIGHT ON LOW BEAMS WILL NOT COME ON. DEALER STATES PART IS ON BACK ORDER WHEN HAVING OIL CHANGE DONE SEVERAL WEEKS AGO. IN THREE WEEKS WILL NEED CAR TO DRIVE POSSIBLE AT NIGHT TO CHILD COLLEGE GRADUATION THROUGH MOUNTAINS. DO NOT KNOW IF OTHER HEAD LAMP WILL MALFUNCTION AND STOP WORKING. THE DRIVERSIDE WAS GOING AND OUT NOW STAYS OFF. VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.
MY BATTERY HAS FAILED TO START MY CAR TWICE IN A MONTH. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER; THEY RAN IT THROUGH THE COMPUTER; THE BATTERY CAME BACK 'FUNCTIONAL'. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN AT ALL LAST YEAR! THEIR REMEDY WAS TO DRIVE MORE OR INSTALL A 'TRICKLE CHARGER' ON THE BATTERY. (THIS CAR IS A LEASE; I HAVE HAD IT FOR 1.5 YEARS--PUTTING 3,600 MILES ON IT.) I HAD MY PREVIOUS CAR FOR TWENTY YEARS WITHOUT EVER HAVING THIS KIND OF ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING VERY LOW MILES FOR YEARS WITHOUT A BATTERY ISSUE. THOUGHTS?
