TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 KIA SEDONA. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE CONTROL ARM FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 215,000.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND HAS BEEN ON FOR ALMOST A WEEK. I WAS TOLD MY CAR WASN'T UNDER THE RECALL SO NOW I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR MYSELF.
AFTER STOPPING AT STOP SIGN DRIVING ON A CITY STREET (SPEED LIMIT 30), I, MADE A RIGHT TURN AND THE LEFT (DRIVER) SIDE, REAR SLIDING DOOR UNLATCHED AND SLID WIDE OPEN. MY DOG ALMOST SLID OUT BUT HAD HIS LEASH ON AND I MANAGED TO GRAB IT BEFORE HE WENT OUT THE DOOR. I GOT OUT AND SLAMMED THE DOOR MANUALLY, TOOK OFF AND MADE ANOTHER RIGHT TURN WHEN AGAIN THE SAME DOOR SLID WIDE OPEN AGAIN. PARKED SAFELY AND TRIED CLOSING DOOR BUT IT WOULD NOT STAY SHUT EVERY TIME I TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR IT WOULD OPEN ON ITS OWN AT LEAST 6 INCHES REMAINING LOOSE IN ITS TRACK (SO WHILE DRIVING IT WOULD SLIDE BACK AND FORWARD. I THEN TIED IT CLOSED/SHUT BUT IT WAS CLEARLY VERY DANGEROUS SO I CONTACTED MY LOCAL KIA THE NEXT MORNING AND TOOK IT IN. KIA COMPLETED 2 OTHER RECALLS BUT THOSE DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. KIA REPORTED THAT THEY TRACED THE ISSUE BACK TO THE REAR DOOR CONTROLLER WHICH WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALLS BUT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM SO THEY RE-TIED THE DOOR (SIMILAR TO HOW I HAD) USING MY STRAP. I DECLINED TO PAY TO HAVE THIS FIXED AS KIA HAS ALREADY ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS SO IT IS HAPPENING FREQUENTLY - HAD A PASSENGER BEEN IN THAT SEAT ON THE HIGHWAY THEY COULD HAVE LITERALLY BLOWN OUT THE DOOR ONTO THE HIGHWAY. I THINK THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. MY KIA DOOR HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED YET AND IS AVAILABLE TO BE LOOKED AT IN DETAIL AS NEEDED. AT THE VERY LEAST OTHER KIA OWNERS NEED TO BE MADE AWARE OF THIS SO THAT CHILDREN (AND ANYONE SITTING IN THE REAR SEAT) ARE NOT HARMED OR KILLED. I DO HOPE THAT KIA DOES ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE.
I RECENTLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY 2006 KIA SEDONA WHERE THE BRAKE LIGHTS STAYED ON CONSTANTLY REGARDLESS OF WETHER THE BRAKE WAS APPLIED. THE BRAKE LIGHTS STAYED ON EVEN IF THE VEHICLE WAS OFF. IT WAS CONFIRMED TO BE THE "BRAKE LIGHT SWITH" WHICH I FOUND WAS UNDER RECALL. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO KIA OF CERRITOS WHO REFUSED TO PERFORM THE RECALL AS IT TURNED OUT THE RECALL WAS ALLEGEDLY PERFORMED IN 2009. I SUSPECT IN 2009 THE PART WAS EITHER NOT REPLACED OR THE REPLACEMENT SWITCH HAS THE SAME DEFECT AS THE ORIGINAL. I CONTACTED KIA FOR CLARIFICATION AND THEY TOLD ME THEY ONLY PERFORM RECALLS ONCE.
OUR 2006 KIA SEDONA BEGAN EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT NO CRANK CONDITION THAT LEFT US STRANDED MULTIPLE TIMES WITH KIDS IN THE CAR AND TOWING EXPENSES TO A MECHANIC ONLY FOR THE CAR TO START RIGHT UP AFTER GETTING THERE. THIS LEAVES THE MECHANICS SCRATCHING THERE HEAD AND SENDING IT BACK TO US. WE KNOW NOW THAT THE CONDITION IS CAUSED BY HIGHER THAN NORMAL RESISTANCE ACROSS THE BURGLAR ALARM RELAY LOCATED IN THE IN PANEL MODULE. THIS IS A NON-SERVICEABLE PART BY KIA AND IF FOUND DEFECTIVE REQUIRES THE ENTIRE MODULE TO BE REPLACED AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE. THE PART IN AND OF ITSELF IS CHEAP BUT BECAUSE IT IS A NON SERVICEABLE PART THE ENTIRE PANEL HAS TO BE REPLACED AT ABOUT $500. PLUS THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE DEFECTIVE PART WILL MALFUNCTION AGAIN. THE ISSUE WAS FIXED ON LATER MODELS MADE AFTER 2007. DESPITE KIA ACKNOWLEDGING THAT IT IS A PROBLEM, DUE TO NOT ENOUGH FIELD COMPLAINTS THEY REFUSE TO RECALL THE DEFECTIVE PART AND FIX THE MISTAKE ON 2006/2007 KIA SEDONA'S. THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME AND LEAVE YOU STRANDED. TURNING OFF YOUR CAR AT THE GAS PUMP, TURNING OFF YOUR CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE STREET, TURNING OFF YOUR CAR AT THE SUPERMARKET, OR ANYWHERE COULD MEAN YOUR LEFT STRANDED! KIA HAS SENT OUT A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN TO THEIR DEALERSHIPS EXPLAINING THE CUSTOMER CONCERN. THIS WAS INTENDED TO HELP TECHNICIANS DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER THIS DOES NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE THAT THEY HAVE CAUSED FOR THE 2006 2007 SEDONA'S THAT WERE MADE WITH THIS NON-SERVICEABLE RELAY. THE BULLETIN CLEARLY STATES THAT IF THE PART IS FOUND DEFECTIVE THAT THE WHOLE PANEL HAS TO BE REPLACED HOWEVER KIA DENIES ANY RESPONSIBILITY IN FIXING THE MISTAKE DESPITE FIXING IT AND LATER MODELS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS BECAUSE THERE'S NOT ENOUGH FIELD COMPLAINTS FOR THEM TO WORRY ABOUT IT.
AIR BAG ALERT TRIGGERED. WAS VERIFIED BY KIA SERVICES DEPARTMENT. RECOMMENDATION TO CHANGE WOULD COST $ 2000.
THE DRIVER'S SEAT BECAME UNSECURED ON THE FRONT SIDE, SO ONLY THE REAR OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT IS SECURED IN PLACE. IF I LEAN BACK OR ACCELERATE QUICKLY THE ENTIRE SEAT TILTS BACK. INITIALLY THIS OCCURRED WHEN I WAS STOPPED, AS I LEANED BACK TO REACH INTO MY POCKET TO GRAB MY WALLET. BUT NOW IT WON'T REFASTEN, SO IT OCCURS WHEN STATIONARY OR IN MOTION.
THE ALTERNATOR ON MY 2006 KIA SEDONA HAS BEEN REPLACED AT LEAST 4 TIMES BUT I BELIEVE 5 TIMES (I AM LOOKING FOR 2 MORE RECEIPTS). THE LATEST 3 REPLACEMENTS ARE: MILEAGE 104472 DATE 6/2/2018; MILEAGE 95255 DATE 3/23/16; MILEAGE 70121 DATE 2/28/2011. ALSO HAD VAN AT DEALER AND OTHER REPAIR SHOPS TO CHECK ALTERNATOR, ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, BATTERY, ETC. SOME OF THE DATES THAT IT WAS AT THE KIA DEALER OR OTHER REPAIR FOR DIMMING LIGHTS, HEADLIGHTS DIMMING, ARE 2/12/2007 (15957 MILES); 7/24/2008 (38853 MILES); 11/24/2008 (43470 MILES); 4/21/2009 (48936 MILES); 3/14/2016 (94429). I HAVE BROKEN DOWN TWICE DUE TO ALTERNATOR WHILE OUT OF TOWN; ONE TIME IN ALABAMA, AND LAST WEEKEND IN OSAGE BEACH MO. BOTH TIMES I HAD TO HAVE ALTERNATOR REPLACED. BOTH CAUSED A LOT OF STRESS BECAUSE I HAD MY KIDS WITH ME AND IN ALABAMA WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE. THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE SINCE AN ALTERNATOR SHOULD NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED SO MANY TIMES. I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS VEHICLE SINCE ALMOST DAY ONE ABOUT SOMETHING STRANGE WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. YOU CAN REVIEW THE DEALERS RECORDS REGARDING THIS. PERHAPS KIA SHOULD CONSIDER A POTENTIAL RECALL OR DIFFERENT ALTERNATOR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 KIA SEDONA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR OBSERVATION AND THEN DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE BOLT THAT HELD THE AXLE AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS LOOSE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO NELSON KIA (4730 N VIRGINIA AVE, BASSETT, VA 24055, 855-666-3226) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE BLOCK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
SLIDING DOOR ON PASSENGER SIDE OPENS BY ITSELF WHILE DRIVING. MIRRORS MALFUNCTION ALL THE TIME AND YOU CAN'T CORRECT THEM. THEY KEEP POINTING DOWN AND YOU CAN'T SEE. HAD RECALL COMPLETED ON SWAY BAR BUT THEY DIDN'T REALIGN AND CHECK SUSPENSION I'M ON MY 3RD SET OF TIRES. DANGEROUS VEHICLE I'VE HAD MORE ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE THAN ANY VEHICLE I'VE EVER OWNED. BETWEEN ISSUES I JUST SPOKE OF TO CRUISE CONTROL GOING CRAZY WHEN YOU USE IT TO THE DOOR COMING OPEN WHILE DRIVING . I DON'T SUGGEST ANYONE BUYING A KIA. THEY DON'T BACK UP THERE CARS AND THEY WANT AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE TO LOOK AT IT. I'VE BEEN LOOKING TO BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND THE CAR SALESMAN EVEN SAID HE DISCOURAGED BUYING A KIA BECAUSE OF SAFETY ISSUES.
IN MARCH2016 BRAKES REPLACE WITH NEW PADS/ROTOR DUE TO SCREECH SOUND. TODAY WHEN BRAKE PRESSED STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES. ABS/ESC OFF LIGHT CAME ON THE OTHER DAY. FRONT WHEELS STILL VIBRATE ON THE HIGHWAY. TRANSMISSION SOMETIMES JERKS AND STALLS THE CAR. A/C NOT WORK, BUT HEATER ALWAYS WORKING.
The contact owns a 2006 Kia Sedona. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would stall with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle would fail to reverse once placing the gear shifter into reverse. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who was unable to service the vehicle and referred him to another mechanic who replaced the transmission. Almost a year later, the failure recurred, and the contact bought a code scanner that informed him that the catalytic converter was defective. The contact bought a new catalytic converter and had the catalytic converter replaced. Recently, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle began to hesitate upon depression of the accelerator pedal with the throttle body warning light illuminated. The contact used the code reader to clear the warning light and the vehicle resumed normal operation. On another occasion while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle stalled with the check engine warning light illuminated. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic who replaced the throttle body. Soon after the test drive, the transmission failed. The contact agreed to have the transmission replaced and the vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 KIA SEDONA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ESC WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT IN AND OUT OF GEAR, AND THE BRAKE LIGHTS FREQUENTLY FAILED TO TURN OFF. THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM A MANUFACTURER RECALL, AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION OTHER THAN TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (UNIVERSITY KIA, 6519 UNIVERSITY DR NW, HUNTSVILLE, AL 35806, (256) 217-1700) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS TO ORDER THE PART AND DETERMINE WHO MAY REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I CURRENTLY HAVE A 2006 KIA SEDONA THAT HAS MICHELIN TIRES ON IT. I PURCHASED THE TIRES ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2011. I HAD 76540 MILES ON THE VAN AT THAT TIME. TODAY I HAVE 100,955 MILES ON THE VAN, THAT IS A LITTLE OVER 24000 MILES ON THESE TIRES. I WAS HAVING THE VEHICLE INSPECTED PRIOR TO A VACATION WITH MY DAUGHTER. I WAS TOLD THAT ALL 4 TIRES HAVE TERRIBLE DRY-ROT. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING AND DANGEROUS AND I AM ALERTING YOU TO THIS PROBLEM. THESE TIRES SHOULD HAVE MANY MORE YEARS OF LIFE IN THEM AND DO NOT HAVE VERY MANY MILES ON THEM. I WOULD APPRECIATE MICHELIN REPLACING THESE TIRES .. THESE TIRES HAVE A 70,000 MILE WARRANTY ON THEM HOWEVER THEY ARE NOW 6 YEARS OLD, AND JUST PAST THE MICHELIN WARRANTY DATE. I WAS TOLD BY NTB MANAGER THAT MICHELIN HAVE A TENDENCY TO DRY-ROT/ CRACK AND HE EVEN HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ONES ON HIS CAR. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. NEW TIRES WILL COST OVER $800 ON THIS VEHICLE. ALTHOUGH I WOULD AGREE TO PICK UP SOME OF THAT COST SINCE I HAVE USED THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER THERE SHOULD BE AT LEAST 70% LEFT ON THE LIFE OF THESE TIRES. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING ON THEM AS IS BECAUSE THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE OF A BLOW OUT AND SINCE IT IS HAPPENING ON ALL 4 TIRES THAT COULD BE DISASTROUS. I HOPE THAT MICHELIN AGREES THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THESE TIRES AND THAT THEY STAND BY THEIR BELIEF IN PROVIDING A GOOD PRODUCT, FREE FROM DEFECTS. THANKS
WE HAVE A 2006 KIA SEDONA MINIVAN WITH LITTLE OR NO RUST ON THE BODY. IN 2013 WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING IN TOWN SHE HAD THE PASSENGER FRONT CONTROL ARM BREAK THANKFULLY AT LOW SPEED. I CONTACTED KIA ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT REIMBURSE FOR THE REPAIR. A COUPLE WEEKS LATER THEY CALLED AND OFFERED TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THE NEW CONTROL ARMS AND LABOR WHICH THEY DID. SHORTLY AFTERWARDS A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM. LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO ON 9/28/17 AS A WAS RETURNING HOME FROM WORK THE WHEEL BEGAN SHAKING AND THERE WAS A GRINDING AND SHUDDERING WHILE BRAKING ABRUPTLY AND I WAS ABLE TO LIMP THE VAN HOME. I HAD IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND THE SUBFRAME JUST THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FRONT DRIVER CONTROL ARM HAD SNAPPED AND THE WHEEL IS JUST FLOATING AROUND IN THE WHEEL WELL. I WAS SURPRISED HOW THIN THE STEEL IS AT THE BREAK POINT CONSIDERING IT NEEDS TO SUPPORT A QUARTER OF THE WEIGHT OF THE VAN. THE SUPPORT STRUCTURE OF THE VAN IS ROTTED AT MORE THAN JUST THIS LOCATION UPON FURTHER INSPECTION.
MY ESC LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT CAME ON AS I WAS PULLING OUT OF THE MOVIE THEATER AND MY VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF SO I RESTARTED IT AND PULLED OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY WHERE IT TURNED OFF AGAIN AND WOULDN'T RESTART FOR 15-20 MINUTES ONCE I GOT IT RESTARTED MY ENGINE STARTED MAKING A WEIRD SOUND AND I COULD NOT ACCELERATE IT KEPT JERKING LIKE I WAS RUNNING OUT OF GAS WHEN I HAD A FULL TANK LUCKILY I MADE IT HOME WITH MY 3 KIDS BEFORE IT SHUT OFF AGAIN. NOT SAFE AT ALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 KIA SEDONA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, A CLICKING NOISE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM THE FRONT END WHILE TURNING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM WAS DAMAGED DUE TO CORROSION AND RUSTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 KIA SEDONA. WHILE THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS DRIVING 55 MPH, THE HOOD SUDDENLY OPENED. THE HOOD STRUCK AND DAMAGED THE WINDSHIELD AND ROOF. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO GRIFFIN MOTORS COMPANY (11031 PERRY HWY, MEADVILLE, PA 16335 814-336-2161) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A CORRODED LATCH THAT NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS NOT INFORMED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V389000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER STATING THAT THE REPAIR COST EXCEEDED THE VALUE OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000.
JUST ON AND WANT GO OFF?
ONE OF THE CONTROL ARMS RUSTED COMPLETELY AND BROKE WHILE DRIVING. BECAUSE OF THIS WE HAVE INSPECTED THE OTHER CONTROL ARMS AND THEY WERE ALL RUSTED TO THE POINT THAT IT MADE THE CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED. NOW THE CAR WILL NOT START PERIODICALLY. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND MANY OTHER OWNER OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE DUE TO THE ANTI THEFT DEVICE.
AFTER A FEW YEARS OF OWNING THE VAN MY BATTERY DIED. I REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT BECAUSE OF THE LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE IT CAUSED THE AIRBAG LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE [CODE: "B1102-UB (VB ?) LOW VOLTAGE (<8V)"]. WHEN THE IS LIGHT ON NONE OF THE AIRBAGS WILL FUNCTION IN AN ACCIDENT. EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM, THE LIGHT CAN ONLY BE SHUT OFF (AND THUS MAKE THE AIRBAGS FUNCTIONAL) BY CLEARING THE CODE WITH A SPECIAL READER THAT ONLY THE DEALERSHIPS APPEAR TO HAVE. THE DEALERSHIP WILL ONLY DO THIS IF YOU PAY $280. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS, THERE'S NO REASON THE AIRBAG SYSTEM SHOULDN'T FUNCTION AFTER THE CODE HAS BEEN RESOLVED. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS EXTORTION FROM KIA. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MANDATES THAT CARS HAVE TO HAVE AIRBAGS YOU WOULD EXPECT THAT THEY WOULD BE REQUIRED TO WORK IF THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM.
RECALL: 16V389000 - HOOD OPENS WHILE DRIVING WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. WE FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RECALL AFTER THE INCIDENT DESCRIBED BELOW: WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY, THE HOOD UNEXPECTEDLY OPENED UP AND HIT THE WINDSHIELD. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN AND GET ON THE SHOULDER TO AVOID A MAJOR ACCIDENT. THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED AND THE HOOD IS DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR. I'M NOT SURE IF THE IMPACT DAMAGE ANY OTHER PARTS OF THE CAR BUT AN INSPECTION WILL BE PERFORMED BY MY INSURANCE TO FIND OUT.
I HAD ISSUES PUTTING IN PARK AND THEN GETTING OUT OF PARK. DISCONNECTED BATTERY CABLE TO TURN OFF VEHICLE. BATTERY SEEMED DEAD BUT HAD BATTERY CHECKED OUT IT'S FULLY GOOD. WHY IS A "BAD" SENSOR NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MANUFACTURER? IT'S FAULTY. THERE WAS NO MISUSE OR ABUSE BY THE CONSUMER, IN OTHER WORDS, WHY IS THERE NO RECALL ON THIS ITEM? PROBLEM #2. AT APPROXIMATELY 108,000 MY SEDONA'S TPMS LIGHT AND ( ! ) LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON MY DASH PANEL...AND HAVE STAYED ILLUMINATED SINCE. THE TIRES ARE INFLATED TO MANUFACTURE'S SPECIFICATIONS SO THERE IS NO CHANCE THAT THE TIRES ARE UNDER OR OVER INFLATED. AGAIN, THERE IS A "BAD" SENSOR(S). THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD SINCE THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IF I WERE TO GET INTO ANY ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE SENSOR BEING NONFUNCTIONAL WITH THE LIGHT REMAINING ON. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS A PROBLEM DUE TO THE SENSOR BEING FAULTY, AIRBAGS BEING FAULTY OR MANUFACTURING ISSUES. I BELIEVE THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE FIXED AND A RECALL SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED TO AVOID ANY SERIOUS INJURIES.
THE STRUTS MOUNTS HAD RUSTED APART. SO HAD TO HAVE STRUT, SPRINGS, MOUNTS, SWAY BAR LINK PINS,FRONT STRUTS,PLATES HAD TO BE REPLACED. WHATEVER HAPPENED SUDDENLY LOOSENED MY STEERING WHEEL ALSO SO COULD NOT TURN WELL. THE WHEEL HAD TO BE TURNED ALMOST ALL THE WAY AROUND TO TURN A CORNER. THE SERVICE BULLETIN STATES THAT THIS IS PROBLEM IN 2006 AND 2007 SEDONA. I HAVE A COPY OF THE BULLETIN IN MY POSSESSION. THE MECHANIC DID NOT REPLACE THE PART BUT HE REMOVED, CLEANED IT AND REINSTALLED. I HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM (HAS ONLY BEEN ONE DAY) BUT WILL SEE HOW IF RUNS. OVER HALF THE BUTTONS AND KNOBS ON THE STOCK CD PLAYER/RADIO HAVE NOT WORKED FOR APPROXIMATELY EIGHT YEARS. I AM HAVING TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT AND TURN SIGNAL BULBS EVERY FEW MONTHS. THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED AND WILL NOT SHUT OFF. I HAVE NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS (YET) AND WOULD EXPECT MY AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY IF AND WHEN NECESSARY.
