NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2016 Kia Sedona. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
The go bad ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement: REPLACE REAR DRIVER WHEEL SPEED SENSOR FOR ABS ISSUE 2.0 Engine light went on then off. Car overheated and blew a head gasket and ruining engine. The engine light was off. There was no warning before this car overheated. And it overheated fast!
Headlights will randomly turn off and flicker on and off. Has happened multiple times and on dark roads
WE HAVE A 2016 KIA SEDONA, BOUGHT IN 2017 AS A KIA CERTIFIED. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL RECALLS SINCE OUR OWNERSHIP. FOR THE LAST 2-3 YEARS WE HAVE DRIVEN IT SPARINGLY. WE TOOK IT TO THE KIA DEALERSHIP FOR REGULAR OIL CHANGE AT 97,000 + MILES. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF ANY MAJOR ENGINE CONCERNS. WE AGAIN TOOK IT IN TO THE KIA DEALERSHIP, FOR A SPARE TIRE CABLE ISSUE AT 99,186 MILES AGAIN NO MENTION OF ENGINE ISSUES. THE KIA DEALERSHIP PERFORMED A MULTIPOINT INSPECTION, AND REPAIRED A TURN SIGNAL ISSUE, AND SUGGESTED SOME OTHER MAINTENANCE ITEMS, THAT WOULD NEED ATTENTION SOON, BRAKES ECT. AT 102,866, WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP, WE HAVE USED BEFORE, FOR AN OIL CHANGE. WE WERE INFORMED THAT SOMEONE HAD PUT STOP LEAK IN THE COOLANT SYSTEM. THEY SAID WE SHOULD TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A HEAD GASKET ISSUE. WE TOOK IT TO ANOTHER FULL SERVICE SHOP, WHERE, THEY DIDN'T DETECT A COOLANT LEAK. WE DID NOTICE COOLANT WAS RUNNING LOW, BUT NONE WAS SPOTTED ON THE GROUND. WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE PREVIOUS REPAIR SHOP, WHERE THEY INFORMED US OF A POSSIBLE BLOWNED HEAD GASKET, BUT COULDN'T CONFIRM, BECAUSE OF OIL ALL OVER THE UNDER CARRIAGE, THROUGH ALL OF THIS THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNAL OR LIGHTS, UNTIL THE TEMP GAGE MOVED TOWARDS HIGH AND THE OIL LIGHT FLICKERED A COUPLE OF TIMES. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE ENGINE WAS PROBABLY SHOT. THE VEHICLE IS AGAIN AT THE KIA DEALERSHIP. NO RESOLVE YET. WE NOW UNDERSTAND THAT THAT KIA HAS RECALLED QUITE A NUMBER OF THEIR VEHICLES FOR SIMULAR ENGINE ISSUES. WE GOT A RECALL FOR A LEAKING OIL SWITCH, WHICH WE INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP OF. ARE THE KIA SEDONA'S ON THE RECALL LIST?
Car has a strong gas smell coming from front area through vents, when opened hood strong gas is smelled. Car is now stalling when starting. Afraid that car will burst into flames and explode. I have read that there was a recall due to cracked fuel rail but my 2016 does not fall within the model years. This is ridiculous that it’s the exact same thing happening to my 2016 sedona. The smell of gas is excessive and I had to take all of my kids out of the car and now do not trust to drive it. My car was completely fine and how can something randomly crack and cause this. No light or warning indicates this issue.
My 2016 Kia Sedona has only 79900 miles on it, yet needs an engine replacement. It is experiencing the EXACT same issues as the other kia engines that have been recalled/replaced by kia, yet they will not help fix it, because "there are no problems with my engine, but there are with the other kia engines" A vehicle should not need a new engine at 79000 miles. There were zero warnings to this. No check engine lights. No oil lights. Nothing. In fact there are still no lights, even after having this problem diagnosed at the dealer. If my engine fails in the middle of the road, I am putting myself, my 4 children, my husband, and anyone else on the road at risk. This should not be happening at such low mileage, especially with no warning lights. The dealer confirms I need a new engine. Other auto shops claim kia should cover this repair because this engine is defective.
While driving, van went to half power with no warning light. Would not go above 15 MPH. It had recently had an oil change at a KIA dealership, but when we took to the shop, the oil was barely existent and foamy. It is undriveable and 3 different mechanics have said it cannot be fixed without a new engine.
The hitch lifts have went bad. When you open the back hatch it goes all the way up and then immediately goes back down about half way. It’s a huge safety concern. I have been hit in the head numerous times.
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front driver’s side low-beam headlight failed to operate. The contact stated that the front driver's side low-beam headlight intermittently illuminated and then failed to operate as designed. The contact stated that he was unsure what repair was performed; however, the vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The contact then stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front driver’s and passenger side low-beam headlights failed to operate. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the headlight assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made abnormally loud rattling sounds with black smoke coming from the engine. Additionally, there was oil leaking onto the ground while driving. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the engine. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 117,000.
Our engine on the 2016 kia sedona died and has left us stranded 3 hours from home. There was no engine/oil light warning. We have low mileage (but the light that indicates mileage also failed so we are guessing that we have between 50,000 and 60,000 miles.) We are not home but according to our phone records we definitely had oil changed in December 2021 and the oil filter is very clean. Since the pandemic we have put very few miles on the car and also did not accept many receipts for fear of contamination but we know for sure that about the oil change in December. We need the car towed to a kia dealer and we want assurances that they will replace it as part of the warranty…we have coverage for 10 years and 100,000 miles…but we can’t get a hold of anyone from corporate. We were on hold for an hour and a half yesterday and nobody picked up. Since they have had so many engine problems/recalls with vehicles from that year we felt it was necessary to report this to you to add the Sedona to the list. And…we need assurances that they will replace the engine as part of the warranty although at this point they should just replace the vehicle since I’m told they don’t make engines anymore for the Sedona. We owe $11,000 on the car so we need something done asap. Thank you. The consumer is requesting reimbursement for rentals as the vehicle has been at the dealership for 5 months awaiting repairs. The contact is still seeking reimbursement for rentals and the repairs needed. There has been no remedy given by the manufacturer.
The vehicle while driving and accelerating at any given time stops accelerating even when you are pressing the accelerator all the way in. Usually occurs when I am on highways or normal roads. No check engine light or indication of failure has come up to retrieve a code and be able to diagnose the issue. I took the car to the KIA dealer service center near me, but they weren't able to fix anything, because no code came up for the issue. The not responding to acceleration has occurred multiple times for a while (Aprox. 4-5 times over the last 6 months). I am concerned as it may seem the engine is trying to stall or stop working in the middle of the road. The safety of my family and others driving behind me can be at risk because if it stops responding to the acceleration, I may need to pull to the side or may not have sufficient time to do so, causing an accident. I communicated with Kia, and they open a case report, but they advised me to submit a report to this agency.
The sliding power doors no longer function properly. The door closes, and immediately unlatches. The door can be forced closed, but can and does then unlatch while driving. Kia of Cape Coral confirmed the doors are not latching properly due to the door motors. Kia agrees the doors are covered, but refuses to remedy the issue until the motor is unable to move the doors at all.
Our Kia Sedona had the cooling fan harness negative Cable melt and caused making our engine overheat. When we took our vehicle to get serviced they told us that the cooling fan harness melted and then it's a common problem with kias. They fixed the pigtail cooling fan harness but are cooling fan does not turn on anymore and they said that it is now an electrical issue and this was from a Kia dealership in Dodge City Kansas. They recently did a recall on sliding doors because they weren't shutting all the way and it worked for exactly one day after the recall and now it's back to not shutting and making a really loud noise when it attempts to shut. When this happens we can't lock our doors because the doors won't lock when doors open and we have to constantly shut off our interior lights so that they don't stay on because the doors don't shut. We've notified the Kia dealership that have done our recall on it and told them that it didn't fix it but they refuse to make it right. We only have 106,000 MI I've got a new cooling fan resistor and put it in and a new pigtail harness and put it in but the cooling fan is still not turning on the low speed and the air conditioner doesn't work either. Our engine constantly smells very hot but it doesn't indicate that it's overheating. We haven't had this vehicle for very long and because of all the problems we've had with it are considering on getting another vehicle and we're considering a carnival but are afraid to because of the way Kia handles their issues.
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the passenger’s side sliding door failed to lock and opened. The door ajar warning light was illuminated. The contact had to manually close the door. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where an unknown diagnosis was provided. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
Purchased used minivan and several months after purchase was driving on highway and engine power dramatically decreased, check engine light flashed. Pulled over and engine oil had completely drained. Took to mechanic who said engine failed. Kia will not do anything. This seems to be a common issue. I am stuck with a car with blown engine and no recourse. Kia has recalled lots of engines but even though this one is a known problem they are not taking responsibility.
2016 KIA SEDONA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO DEFECTIVE POWER SLIDING DOOR. THE CONSUMER STATED THE POWER SLIDING DOORS WOULD NOT PROPERLY CLOSE. THE DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE WHEN THE DOORS WERE SHUT.
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated while sitting in the vehicle, there was smoke coming from under the hood. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the hose was ruptured and the radiator failed. Additionally, the contact stated that the engine needed to be repaired. The radiator was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,900.
Passenger side back, sliding door will not close securely. The risk is mainly because my grandchildren ride in those seats and the door not securing and subsequent lack of auto door locks when gear shift is moved from park is not safe. When we use that door, the indicator light on the dash is lit and the dinging bells alerts us it is NOT secure. We have to push in on the back of the door to, hear the click, get it secured. Otherwise the indicator light stays lit AND the doors will NOT lock automatically as they should.
Side sliding doors do not shut completely, the doors malfunction and will not open correctly as well.
Driver-side rear powered sliding door will not latch properly. Door slid completely open during turn. Power to sliding door off at that time. Also intermittent problems with passenger side rear sliding door.
The tail lights continue to stay on even when the car is parked and no one is pressing the brakes. The driver needs to press multiple times the brake pedal to turn them off. I constantly have to buy light bulbs for the rear-end brake lights because of this issue. The Kia Dealership Service Center check the issue and couldn't find anything other than the light bulb was out. This safety issue confuses drivers behind because it doesn't know if the person driving is braking or what.
Engine caught fire while traveling on the highway. It was towed to the dealer. Dealer told us that engine failure and fire had been caused by oil leak, which occurred even with us bringing the car in for routine maintenance regularly and as recommended by Kia. Yes, our safety was put at risk as our engine failed and caught fire while we were traveling at high speed on a highway. There was no warning prior to this happening, and I had just brought the car into the dealer for routine maintenance within two weeks prior to the fire. With that said, I had been bringing the car to the dealer for routine maintenance regularly and bringing to their attention that the "low oil" warning light would appear intermittently, which it should not have done as I WAS bringing the car in for regular maintenance and oil changes. They did not seem to feel that that was an issue and would replenish the oil and send us on our way.
While driving I smelled a burning odor. Then my heat started blowing cold air. I immediately went to a car shop and when they opened the hood, there was white smoke. After getting 3 separate opinions, all agreed that the engine was fried and needs to be replaced. There were no warning signs, lights, etc... and this could have been a very dangerous situation if I had driven it much further because the engine could have seized up (with my 4 young kids in the car), or even possibly caught fire.
I was driving down the road and my van made a horrible noise and stopped moving. I was able to coast to a right turn lane to get out of traffic where I realized all of the oil was on the ground under my van. After towing it to the dealer they confirmed that a rod went through the oil pan for no apparent reason. They confirmed that there was oil in the van as it was all over the engine. The check engine light never came on and the van was running perfectly fine until this happened.
Both of the back sliding doors Do not want to close all the way And sometimes the doors open when going down the road My sister is having the same problem with her doors not closing all the way
Lower brake lights not functioning. Fuse is fine (swapped with good fuse, no change). Bulbs are fine (replaced with new anyway). Top brake light bar is fine. Only L and R rear brake lights not coming on. Dealer in Anchorage, Alaska confirmed all. No warning lamps came on. Car operates fine otherwise.
we received notice for safety recall that the tail lights and turn signal lights could fail and they needed to change something to do with computer.we took it in and left with lights working and 3days later they stopped working again.Kia is refusing to fix it on the recall but it is the same issue.
Oil sending unit failed after 100k miles. Had it not been a quick trip, I could have easily ran it dry and stalled the motor. No warning was given. There are many reports of this happening with other models and years of Kia V6's.
The contact's daughter owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed with engine failure and the contact's daughter was provided an estimate for the repair. The failure persisted, and the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it remained in their possession. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH there was raddling noise and then flames. The check engine light came on. The engine immediately caught on fire. The contact was able to pull over safely and exit the vehicle quickly with her son the passenger. The police arrived on the scene first and informed the fire department that the flames had deteriorated automatically; therefore the fire department did not arrive. Unknown if a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to several dealers; however, the last dealer diagnosed the failure to be hole blown engine. There were no major injuries or medical reports. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure was 73,000.
My engine just stopped working while I was driving. No warning signs just stopped working. It had to replaced.
The rear passenger sliding door will open and close on it's own while moving and the only way to close completely is to close from the outside while pushing it closed. When using the button in the back it will close then open right up again and make a loud noise. The button above the windshield in from will cause it to close then open back up too while making a loud noise. It has to be closed from the outside by pushing on the door. There is nothing obstructing the door either. This VIN number was not part of the recall according to the nhtsa website. This has been ongoing for years, so there is no specific dates
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the headlights would turn off without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the headlights regained functionality however, shortly thereafter the vehicle lost headlight functionality again. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer to be inspected. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 136,758.
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the engine. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was then towed the following day to the dealer. The contact was informed by the mechanic that gasoline was leaking into the and mixing with the engine oil. Additionally, the plastic piece around the timing belt was cracked. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
Our Kia Sedona van was stolen on the overnight hours of 10/18/2021 from our driveway. This has been a rampant issue in our area because, it seems, certain model year Kia vehicles have a vulnerability that makes it easy to steal in just a few minutes. Because of this theft, we were without a secondary vehicle until 11/8/2021 and we had to pay out of pocket for a rental during much of that time (once we realized we couldn't get by with just one vehicle). In order to minimize our losses, we purchased a used vehicle with similar mileage and year, but we were still out over $1500 and many hours of our time to deal with all of the issues that arose because of this. These particular vehicles NEED to be recalled and retrofitted with some sort of security, as thousands of families have had to deal with similar issues as us.
On September 28, 2021 we found out the hard way that our minivan's gear shift could be moved from the parked position to reverse, neutral and forward without having the car turned on and without needing to have a foot pressed on the break. While the car was parked (off) on our home's driveway, my three year old and his brother were in the car getting ready to drive to school and my wife was at the door of our house waiting for our other son to come out. In the interim our three year old son got his hands on the shifter and without much effort was able to move the shifter out if the parked position. As a result the van rolled down the driveway with two of my children in it. The vehicle ended up on the street where there was incoming traffic. If it weren't because the car hit the fence, other cars would probably not have stopped and it could have been a worse incident. I've reported incident to Kia on 9/29/21 and was referred to the corporate department. To date 10/14/21 we have yet to get a resolution from Kia and address the incident. They assigned a representative who has yet to provide any concrete guidance and support. My car is not road safe to drive and now I'm left without a family car and traumatized children from this event. I've tested moving the shift gear myself and indeed it moves without having the car on or pressing the break. There were no warning lamps in the car to alert of an issue. The car is at an autoshop pending Kia's inspection but Kia has yet to inspect the vehicle or provide any guidance other than we may need to take the car to a dealership to check something. Autoshop will not touch the car until Kia's tech inspects it. My auto insurance company's adjuster has documented shift gear issue when conducting visual inspection of damages to the car.
My husband took the car for an oil change and the mechanic said he heard a noise in the engine. They did the oil change and advised to have it checked out. On the way home, while driving, the car stalled, thankfully in the neighborhood and not on the highway. An issue with the battery or oil change were suspected. We had the car towed to Kia who confirmed that there was no issue with the oil change, the location used for the oil change had done everything correctly. Also, the battery was good. They said the engine seized but could not say why, that we would have to pay them $900 to take the engine apart to find the issue. After research, the very same issues are found with several other Kia and Hyundai models, for example, Kia Sorento. I would like to report this, as it is extremely dangerous to stall in traffic. Also, we still owe $8,000 on the car, we bough it used in February 2020. The car has 118k miles.
There are two issues I believe both are connected. Number 1. Sometimes when I put on the left blinker either nothing happens at all or the wrong blinker (right side) will go on instead of the left. Number 2. Sometimes when I put on my left blinker the headlights will turn off. It can be really scary when this happens on a dark highway at night.
The mud flaps on both front wheels they are starting to pop out and they rub against the tire i hear it really loud when I turn.
Frequently, the turn signal will blink on the right when the turn signal switch is set to the left. This is a safety concern for myself and other drivers as they will expect the vehicle to go to the right when it is actually going to the left. I had this repaired at a dealership. This had been an issue for about a year, when I finally had it repaired.
The contact owned a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, he felt the vehicle was bumping and thought there was a flat tire. The ESP fault and low tire pressure warning lights were illuminated. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle to check the rear passenger tire. While the contact was on the phone with roadside assistance, he noticed there was smoke coming from under the hood then there were flames coming from under the hood. A police report was filed. No medical attention was received. The contact was unaware if the fire department extinguished the fire since he got transported by a bystander to her residence nearby. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 32,000.
Door grinds and will not shut properly. Gadgets say it’s shut but then once driving it beeps and does not turn off until you stop. So I do not know whether it is actually shut or not. Many forums say this is a known issue with Kia cars.
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sedona. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph and while making a left turn, the vehicle made slight contact with a second vehicle. While viewing the second vehicle's video dashcam it was discovered that the driver's side rear signal light did not illuminate. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that water had leaked into the rear light housing and the bulb was submerged in water causing the bulb to become inoperable. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. During the crash, no injuries were reported and a police report was taken at the scene. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 104,000.
The taillight housings accumulate standing water due to cracking of the plastic on the back of the tail light housing. This water leads to corrosion of the brake light bulb socket, which then leads to an inoperative brake light.
LEFT TURN SIGNAL FAILS TO ACTIVATE. LEFT TURN SIGNAL ACTIVES RIGHT TURN INDICATOR. LEFT TURN SIGNAL STARTS TO ACTIVATE THEN FAILS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY DRIVING CONDITIONS WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO INDICATE TURNING INTENTION. VEHICLE IN MOTION, ALL SPEEDS. VEHICLE STOPPED STATIONARY. ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS. ONGOING. STARTED 18 MONTHS AGO, INTERMITTENTLY. NOW PERMANENT.
WHEN SIGNALING LEFT SOMETIMES THE RIGHT BLINKER COMES ON IF AT ALL. TO MAKE IT SIGNAL LEFT YOU HAVE TO PUSH THE LEVER HARD DOWN TO GO LEFT. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN THE SIGNAL WILL GO FAST THEN NORMAL. THIS ALL HAPPENS WHEN COMING TO A TURN OR STATIONARY. IN ALL WEATHER. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE OCTOBER 2020.
The Airbag seat sensor has malfunctioned. Took the vehicle to the Kia Dealer and they advised it was a 1200.00 part plus 300 plus for labor. This started months ago and the dealer stated it was covered and they "ordered" the part. They then stated my extended warranty would cover it only to be told it doesn't cover these items. When I took the vehicle back to the dealer they said it was not covered. The airbag light is intermittent when it comes on. I am afraid this will cause a problem if I am involved in an accident. This started around 70k miles.
AT TIMES WHEN DRIVING WITH HEADLIGHTS ON THE DRIVERSIDE TAILLIGHT WILL GO OUT AND WILL CAUSE THE MIDDLE AND PASSENGER BRAKE LIGHT TO STAY ON. IF I TURN THE HEADLIGHTS OFF THE MIDDLE AND PASSENGER TAILLIGHTS WORK ONLY WHEN PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDDLE.I HAVE REMOVED THE TAIL LIGHT AND CHECKED IT FOR BEING BURNED OUT, CORROSION OR BEING LOOSE AND IT IS FINE. I PUT THE BULB BACK IN AND THE DRIVERS SIDE TAILLIGHT WORKS FINE AND THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK AS NORMAL. THIS HAPPENED A SECOND TIME AND I CHECKED THE BULB. AGAIN NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. I CHANGED THE BULB WITH A NEW ONE. THIS IS ACTUALLY THE SECOND NEW BULB IN THAT SOCKET. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING OR STANDING STILL WHILE HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS ARE ON. THIS STARTED HAPPENING IN DECEMBER 2020. IT IS WORRISOME AS YOU ARE DRIVING WITH NO BRAKE LIGHTS WORKING IF YOU HAVE YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON WHEN IT RAINS DURING THE DAY OR WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL KNOW IT'S HAPPENING IS IF YOU HAPPEN TO GET OUT OF YOUR CAR WHILE THE HEADLIGHTS ARE TURNED ON.
WHEN YOU USE YOUR BLINKERS TO CHANGE LANES AT NIGHT THE HEADLIGHTS GO OFF TILL I MOVE THE BLINKER NOB BACK TO THE MIDDLE THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU ARE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND IS DANGEROUS NEEDS TO RECALLED ASAP BEFORE SOMEONE GET HURT
THE DAYTIME AND HEADLIGHTS LIGHTS WILL TURN OFF RANDOMLY. (STARTED AROUND THE 100K MILEAGE). WHEN STATIONARY, THE SLIDING DOORS DO NOT SHUT CORRECTLY. 1ST THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR BEGINS RATTLING LIKE CHANGE IS INSIDE THE DOOR. 2ND THEN THE DOOR BEGINS TAKING 2 TURNS TO CLOSE, AND THEN IT IS HIT OR MISS WHEN CLOSING. THE DOOR CLOSURE BUTTON WILL OCCASIONALLY NOT WORK, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE CAR IS OFF AND PARKED. (STARTED AROUND THE 45000 MILEAGE). THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT CONNECTOR OCCASIONALLY INDICATES A FAULT ERROR. ALSO THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT INDICATOR WILL TURN ON WHEN 5 POUNDS OR LESS IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. (STARTED AROUND THE 100K MILEAGE). MY BIGGEST CONCERN: SINCE I BELIEVE THE SIDE DOORS ARE FATAL ACCIDENTS WAITING TO HAPPEN, I HAVE MY KIDS SIT IN THE 3RD ROW. ONLY ADULTS ARE ALLOWED TO SIT IN MY PASSENGER CAPTAIN CHAIRS. THE BLIND SPOT WARNING DOES NOT WORK CONSISTENTLY.
