LOUD KNOCKING IN THE ENGINE,LOST OF POWER,STALLING.STALLED ON THE THE ROAD,WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK INTO DRIVE.
AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON TODAY WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY (ROUGHLY70MPH), WILL NOT SHUT OFF, VEHICLE NOT UNDER RECALL FOR AIRBAGS AT THIS TIME. HEADLIGHTS AND TAILLIGHTS RANDOMLY COME ON AND OFF, EVEN WITH BRAND NEW BULBS, HAVE CHANGED BULBS ALMOST MONTHLY IN LAST 3 YEARS. BUTTONS ON STEERING WHEEL DO NOT WORK PROPERLY - INCLUDING CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORKING, VOLUME BUTTON STARTS VOICE COMMAND, ETC.
ON NOV. 11, 2020 I TOOK THIS 2014 KIA SORENTO INTO THE LOCAL KIA DEALER FOR A FOLLOW UP ON A RECALL NOTICE I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL. THE RECALL WAS FOR AN INSPECTION ON THE HECU UNIT WHICH CONTROLS THE ABS SYSTEM, ESC SYSTEM, AND THE TCS SYSTEM. THE DASH BOARD INDICATOR LIGHTS FOR THE ABS, TCS, AND BRAKES ARE VISIBLE ON THE DASH WHILE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP PERFORMED A DRAW TEST ON THE ABS MODULE AND DETERMINED EVERYTHING WAS OK AND NO REPAIRS WOULD BE NEEDED FOR THIS RECALL (SC197). THE VEHICLE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE LEAKING BRAKE FLUID INTO THE HECU UNIT. MY CONCERN ABOUT THIS RECALL IS WHY ARE THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS STILL VISIBLE ON THE DASHBOARD. THE RECALL WAS ON THESE ELEMENTS AND KIA SHOULD HAVE CORRECTED ANY ELECTRONIC PROBLEM RELATED TO THIS RECALL. IS THE PROBLEM ELECTRICAL ON THESE VEHICLES OTHER THAN BRAKE FLUID LEAKING ONTO THE HECU UNIT THAT COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
THE ENGINE MAY STOP WORKING ENTIRELY WITHOUT WARNING. SHUT OFF AND WILL NOT PROVIDE POWER, MAKING KNOCKING SOUNDS.
The contact owns a 2014 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle a knocking noise was present coming from the engine compartment with the check engine warning light illuminated. Upon inspection it was discovered that the engine oil level was extremely low; however, no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who performed an oil consumption test and diagnosed that the engine rod bearing, and cylinders were faulty causing permanent damage to the engine and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number 17V224000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 90,000.
THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HECU) ASSEMBLY CONTROLS THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM(ABS) ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (ESC) AND TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS) IN YOUR VECICLE. BRAKE FLUID MAY LEAK INTRNALLY INSIDE THE HECU,WHICH,OVERTIME,CAN RESULT IN AN ELETRICAL SHORT.AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE HECU INCREASES THE RISK OF AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE. KIA SAYS THEY INSPECTED THE UNIT INDICATED"NO ELECTRICAL DRAW AT THIS TIME". I WOULD PREFER THE UNIT BE REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE.

DELAMINATION OF PAINT ON OUR 2014 KIA SORENTO. WE FIXED THE DRIVER SIDE THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED IN 2018 AND NOW IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON THE PASSENGER SIDE 102820
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT BULBS BURN OUT AND NEED TO BE REPLACE EVERY 3 TO 4 MONTHS. THIS ISSUES HAS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAYS LIKE INTERSTATE 81 OR HIGHWAY 322 AND 11/15 IN PENNSYLVANIA. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BURNT OUT WITH BEING STATIONARY IN PARKING LOTS AT ALL TIMES AND SEASON OF THE YEAR. WHEN ONE SIDE BURNS OUT IT CAN BE A MONTH TO 4 MONTHS BEFORE THE OTHER SIDE BURNS OUT. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN EARLY 2019 AND SINCE THAT TIME I HAVE REPLACE ALMOST 10 OR MORE BULBS SINCE OWNING THE VEHICLE.
Hi, I'm dealing with my Kia Sorento SX 2014, rpm and acceleration problems, for over two long years, sometimes shut off itself, some times codes shows up but no all the time, already changed spark plugs, High pressure fuel pump and the connector, two injectors, starter, MAP sensor, etc. My mechanic tell me today that I need to change the wiring harness, so everything is just guessing and spending crazy money, also the dealer don't know the exactly is the problem, already two years with this frustration and still don't know what to do, please I really need a very professional advice in this incredible situation, some of the codes that shows up, if I'm lucky are: P0087, P0506, P2096, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0133, P0137 and so... but right now all of these disappeared, I read in the NHTSA web site about the problems with engine and electric components reported with this car in this specific year and I'm really worry about my family and my safety while I'm driving this vehicle, please, please, please... I already went to many different mechanic experts (Including the Kia dealership) and still nobody knows what's producing this lack of acceleration in the engine at the time of starting and its subsequent shutdown. I OWN A KIA SORENTO, PEARL WHITE, 2014, WHICH JUST RECENTLY STARTED TO CHIP AND NOW PEEL THE PAINT ON THE SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. ITS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS MOVING. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT THEY ONLY TOLD ME WARRANTY IS UP, NOTHING WE CAN DO. THE VEHICLE HAS APPROX. 85000 MILES ON IT RIGHT NOW. I ALSO HAVE A LITTLE SPOT CHIPPED ON THE HOOD OF THE CAR. I HAPPEN TO CATCH 2 PIECES OF PAINT IN MY YARD. ITS NOT JUST LITTLE PIECES THAT COME OFF, ITS REALLY LIKE SNAKE SKIN PEELING IN BIGGER PIECES AND ITS GETTING REALLY BAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FUCCILLO KIA OF CAPE CORAL FLORIDA 404 NORTH EAST PINE ISLAND ROAD CAPE CORAL FLORIDA 33903 PHONE 239-242-7000, FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AND THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM, AND ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, WILL ALSO NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALLED NEEDED TO ALSO INCLUDE THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM FAILURE, AND THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO WANTED TO STATE THAT THE VEHICLE CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT OPERATING AS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,467. *DT *TR
ENGINE STARTED KNOCKING AND LOST SOME POWER DARNING DRIVING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THIS IS THE 3.3L GDI ENGINE. THIS ENGINE IS NOT PART OF THE SC147 RECALL. I TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY CARS. I BELIEVE THE ISSUE I'M HAVING IS DUE TO A DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. WE HAVE A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA THAT WAS COVERED UNDER A DIFFERENT RECALL. IT INITIALLY PASSED THE RECALL TEST. THE ENGINE FAILED LATER WITH THE SAME SYMPTOMS I'M HAVING WITH THE 2014 KIA. SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT.
ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 15, 2020 I WAS GETTING IN MY CAR AND SAW SOMETHING ON IT. I THOUGHT IT WAS A LEAF AND REALIZED THE PAINT WAS PEELING OFF. I TOUCHED IT AND THE PAINT KEPT PEELING. UPON DOING RESEARCH I SAW WHERE THIS PROBLEM WAS HAPPENING IN KIA CARS 2014 AND OTHERS THAT WERE THE PEARLY WHITE COLOR. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE AND ACCORDING TO OTHER CAR OWNERS OF THE KIA PEARLY WHITE IT IS GOING TO GET WORSE. IT WAS NOT DUE TO WEATHER LIKE HAIL OR ANY PARTICULAR ISSUE. I CALLED KIA LOCAL DEALERS AND THEY HAD HEARD OF IT BUT SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING SO THEN I CALLED CORPORATE AND WAS RUDELY TALKED TO STATING THEY KNEW THEIR WAS A PROBLEM BUT IT WAS OVER 36K. I AM DISABLED AND DON'T DRIVE MUCH. THIS CAR ONLY HAS 46,339 MILES ON IT. I AM WANTING THE ENTIRE CAR REPAINTED BECAUSE WHAT I SEE ON THE COMPLAINTS IT IS GOING TO GET WORSE.
I RCV'D A LETTER FROM KIA RE THE HYDRAULIC ELEC CNTROL UNIT THAT IT MAY LEAK FLUID AND RESULT IN A FIRE. LTR DTD OCT 15, '20; RCV'D @ MID NOV. HAVE TRIED TELEPHONIC CONTACT W/LOCAL DEALER MANY TIMES AND GET NOWHERE- NO RETURN CALLS, NO COMMO WHATSOEVER. LTR STATES KIA HAS ADVISED DEALERS TO INSPECT, BUT NO INTEREST FROM VIVA KIA, EL PASO.
HELLO, PROBLEMS WITH THE HEADLIGHTS OF KIA SORENTO 2014, THESE ARE VERY DIM AND IN THE DARK YOU CAN SEE LITTLE OR NOTHING AND THIS CAN CAUSE A BIG ACCIDENT ON THE ROAD.
The contact owns a 2014 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that after turning on the vehicle the air bag warning light illuminated and remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed with a clockspring failure. The vehicle was repaired however, after several months the failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer who inspected the vehicle and stated that the clockspring was damaged and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the part to repair the vehicle was not available and had to be ordered. The contact was concerned that the failure would recur after replacing the clockspring. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
The paint on my pearl white Sorento began delaminating or peeling off in sheets on the A bars on both sides of my windshield October 2020. Lots of rust beginning as a result. Auto body shop had never seen anything like it. I did not attempt repair bc of expense and uncertainty that a spot repair would be insufficient if it were to continue in other areas. Out of warranty due to age of vehicle.
WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE RUNNING BUT STANDING STILL THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE UVO/ONBOARD VOICE ALERT CAME ON AND ALERTED TO A SERIOUS ENGINE ISSUE/OR FAILURE. ENGINE CODE P0263 (CONTRIBUTION BALANCE) & P0301 (CYLINDER 1 MISFIRE). DEALER DIAGNOSED CYLINDER 1 INTERNAL INJECTOR FAILURE & ESTIMATED REPLACEMENT COST OF $526.00 PLUS TAX. VEHICLE ODOMETER AT TIME OF SERVICE WAS 75485 MILES.
THE PAINT IS PEELING IN LARGE PIECES FROM THE HOOD AND DOORS. IT HAPPENED BOTH TIMES JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THERE ARE SEVERAL SPOTS ON THE VEHICLE THAT ARE BUBBLING AND WILL EVENTUALLY PEEL AS WELL.
MY STABILITY LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING AND MY BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT FUNCTION, HAVE BEEN LOOKING ON INTERNET AND THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF PROBLEMS OF THE EXACT SAME NATURE. The paint is chipping all over the vehicle. There has been no damage to the vehicle to warrant the paint peeling
THE HEADLIGHTS DON'T SHINE ON ANYTHING AND IT'S HARD TO FIND YOUR WAY AT NIGHT. SPEED ​​CONTROL DOES NOT WORK. THE ENGINE HAS A DIFFERENT RHYTHM AT 3000 RPM.
THE PAINT HAS CHIPPED OFF IN A LARGE PORTION OF THE HOOD. IT IS NOT A NORMAL PAINT CHIPPING BUT RATHER A LARGE PIECE/SECTION JUST CAME FLYING OFF DURING DRIVING TIME, APPROXIAMTELY 50 MILES PER HOUR.
HEADLIGHTS, ESPECIALLY LOW BEAM ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM. I CAN BARELY EVEN SEE THEM SHINING ON THE ROAD WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT.
BRAKE LIGHTS TURN ON AND OFF. BRAKE LIGHTS WILL WORK SOMETIMES WHEN I STOP AND SOMETIMES THEY WANT WORK.
PEARL PAIN IS PEELING AND CHIPPING. WENT THRU CAR WASH AND IT CHIPPED HOOD CAR WASH PAID FOR IT TO BE REPAIRED. THEN ON 9/15/20 IT WAS RAINING AND THE RAIN CHIPPED THE PAINT ON THE DOOR FRAME. NOTHING HIT IT OR DAMAGED IT I WAS DRIVING BUT THE RAIN PEELED MY PAINT. THAT'S WHEN I DECIDED TO DO SOME RESEARCH BECAUSE THERE IS NO REASON WHY MY PAINT SHOULD CHIP LIKE THAT AND FOUND OUT THAT THE PAINT IS FAULTY. I ALSO DISCOVER THERE WAS A RECALL DUE TO FAULTY BREAK LINES AND LEAKS AND I BELIEVE I MAY HAVE A BREAK LEAK BECAUSE EVERYTIME ITS TIME FOR AN OIL CHANGE THE BREAK LIGHT COMES ON AND ONCE THEY PUT FLUID IN IT IT GOES OFF. MY UPKEEP HAS BEEN IMMACULATE SINCE OWNING THIS CAR AND ALL OF THESE ISSUES I BELIEVE ARE DUE TO FACTORY DEFECT.

EVERY 500 MILES I AM ADDING A QUART OF OIL TO MY 2014 KIA SORENTO. PLUS THE OIL LIGHT IS NOT TURNING ON WHEN THE DIPSTICK IS SHOWING BELOW LOW ON OIL. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US THEY CONTACTED KIA HEADQUARTERS AND SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO UNTIL THERE IS A ENGINE FAILURE, BUT OUR CONCERN IS IF SOMEONE IS UNAWARE OF THE OIL CONSUMPTION (OR IF WE FORGET TO PUT OIL IN OUR CAR AT 500 MILES) ISSUE AND THEIR ENGINE SEIZE ON THE HIGHWAY THIS COULD PUT THEM AND OTHER VEHICLES ON THE HIGHWAY IN A POTENTIAL DANGEROUS OR LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. ADDITIONALLY, THE USER MANUAL STATES (PAGE 7 | 11) UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR OIL EVERY 7500 MILES, THE VEHICLE TAKE 5 QUARTS, SO IF WE WAITED FOR THE 7500 MILES THE ENGINE WOULD SEIZE OR EXPLODE. KIA HAS ISSUED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR ENGINE DEFECTS AND FIRES, BUT IT DOES NOT DETAIL THE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE, I THINK THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO AS MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE OVERHEATED AND LOSS MOTIVE POWER WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TOWED TO ATLANTA WEST KIA (1301 THORNTON RD, LITHIA SPRINGS, GA 30122) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A NEW ENGINE AND SPARK PLUGS WERE NEEDED. THE VEHICLE REMAINED AT THE DEALER UNREPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 106,400.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE AIR BAGS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWO INDEPENDENT MECHANICS TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAGS WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER NAPLETON'S KIA OF ELMHURST LOCATED AT 727 W. GRAND AVE, ELMHURST, IL 60126, (630) 530-6866 AND THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. SNOW WHITE PEARL PAINT IS FALLING OFF THE CAR. THE MOST NOTICEABLE AREAS ARE BEHIND THE SUNROOF AND OVER THE DRIVER'S DOOR.
THE PAINT ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF WINDSHIELD STARTED PEELING OFF. I WAS ABLE TO STOP ONE SMALL SPOT FROM SPREADING BY USING THE KIA PAINT PEN, BUT ANOTHER AREA OPENED UP. WIND FROM HIGHWAY DRIVING HAS STARTED TAKING OFF MUCH LARGER AREAS OF PAINT. MY CAR IS KEPT IN A GARAGE SO WEATHER DAMAGE IS NOT THE CAUSE.
I HAVE A 14 KI SORENTO LX THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM FAULTY AND CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO CATCH FIRE IN ONE CABIN NEAR THE GEAR SHIFT THE COMPUTER HAS SHUT DOWN NO LONGER RECOGNIZING THE CHIP AND THE VEHICLE IS FULLY DISABLED.*DT
I HAD TO REPLACE THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL ON MY PASSENGER SIDE. I HAD TWO ESTIMATES DONE WAS TOLD IT'S HARD FOR THAT TO GO OUT. I ENDED PAYING TO HAVE IT REPLACED SINCE THE SUV WAS NOT DRIVABLE.
SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL NOT START. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE TRANSMISSION OUT OF PARK AND PLACE INTO NEUTRAL, THEN PLACE BACK INTO PARK AGAIN IN ORDER FOR CAR TO START. I HAVE TAKEN VEHICLE TO FAIRFAX KIA MULTIPLE TIMES, BUT THEY SAY NOTHING IS WRONG. I AM ALSO ABLE TO PLACE CAR IN NEUTRAL WITHOUT PRESSING ON BRAKE.
KIA SORENTO PEARL WHITE PAINT PEELING CHIPPING AND DELAMINATION. PAINT ON ROOF OF CAR HAS BEEN RAPIDLY CHIPPING PEELING AWAY AND IS NOW RUSTING. THE STREAK HAS GROWN ABOUT 2 INCHES IN THE PAST WEEK AND A HALF. CONCERNED THAT IT WILL NOT STOP AND IS DEFECTIVE AND HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FOR KIA SORENTO PEARL WHITE PAINT.
THE PAINT ON BOTH SIDES OF FRONT WINDOW SPONTANEOUSLY STARTED CHIPPING SYMMETRICALLY AND BILATERALLY. I JUST NOTICED IT ONE DAY WHEN IT WAS PARKED. IT WORSENS WITH EVERY DAY. SOME TINY AREAS ON THE FRONT HOOD ARE BEGINNING TO CHIP AS WELL. IT STARTS AS A TINY CHIP THEN CHUNKS START TO PEEL OFF. I'M EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED. THE KIA DEALER TOLD ME THAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN ROCKS THAT HIT THE CAR
MY WHITE 2014 KIA SORENTO STARTED SHEDDING PAINT IN HUGE SECTIONS. DELAMINATION AND PEELING EVERYWHERE. IT WASN'T CAUSED BY A ROCK CHIP. IT'S HUGE BUBBLES UNDER THE SURFACE AND IT COMES OFF IN MASSIVE PIECES. THE WHOLE CAR WILL HAVE TO BE SANDED TO METAL AND REPAINTED!!
PAINT DELAMINATING
The white pearl paint is rapidly chipping off from the roof above the drivers seat. This is a very common and know issue on all Kia Sorento's beginning in 2011 into the latest models with White Pearl paint. There are multiple forum postings and Facebook groups discussing this issue. Separately, all steering wheel control buttons have stopped working (volume, radio tuner, cruise control, etc.). Before the controls completely went out the cruise control was extremely dangerous to use and would speed up on continuously on its own without driver input. Pressing the deceleration button would also make it accelerate if cruise control was set.
I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. THE BULB HAS TO BE REPLACED AT LEAST EVERY THREE MONTHS. WHEN I TURN THE LIGHTS OFF SOMETIMES THEY DO NOT COME BACK ON SO BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE I AM FORCED TO LEAVE HEADLIGHTS ON AT ALL TIMES AND THEY STILL GO OUT AFTER A COUPLE MONTHS. OWNING THE CAR FOR 2 YEARS I HAVE ALREADY REPLACED TAIL LIGHTS TWICE AND HEADLIGHTS 7 TIMES. THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG HERE, NO CAR FROM 2014 SHOULD HAVE REPLACED HEADLIGHTS 7 TIMES MUCH LESS 7 TIMES SINCE 2018!! ON JULY 22, 2020 WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AT NIGHT, BOTH HEADLIGHTS BURNT OUT AT THE SAME TIME AND I WAS FORCED TO DRIVE HOME WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON.
MY CAR JUST SHUTS OFF DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD .WAS ON INTERSTATE 81 WHEN IT JUST CUT OFF LOST ALL CONTROLS THANK GOODNESS I WAS IN RIGHT LANE AN DRIFT TO SIDE THIS INTERSTATE IS VERY BUSY WITH TRACTOR TRAILERS. IT STARTED BACK UP AN MADE TO A EXIT AN IT DID IT AGAIN .HAVE SENT TO GARAGE AN FIXED A CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR HOPING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM BUT IT WASN'T. STILL DOING IT. VERY DANGEROUS THIS CAN CAUSE A VERY BAD ACCIDENT I WAS LUCKY THAT I COULD GET OUT OF WAY OF TRAFFIC .I JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE.ALSO WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE DEALER WORLD CAR KIA NORTH (12115 INTERSTATE 35, BLDG 1, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78233) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL UNDER THE VIN. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V519000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CONTACT NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 180,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made abnormal knocking sounds. The contact stated that the failure occurred increasingly. The failure mileage was approximately 124,000.
MY VEHICLE KEEPS HAVING ISSUES WITH OIL. I GET REGULAR OIL CHANGES AN I HAVE TO PUT OIL IN IT EITHER EVERY 2WEEKS EVEN AFTER AN OIL CHANGE. I HAVE HAD AN OIL COMPSUMPTION TEST AN HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. THERE ARE NO OIL LEAKS AT ALL. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY IN CRUISE CONTROL WHEN IT ALL OF SUDDEN CAME OUT OF CRUISE CONTROL THEN I NOTICED MY RPM GAUGE WASN'T WORKING ALSO. I THEN CAME TO A LIGHT AN WHEN I STARTED TO GO I NOTICED MY CAR BEING SLUGGISH TO REACH 60MPH. I AT ONE TIME HAD MY PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. IT ALSO ACTED LIKE IT WANTED TO STALL ON ME. I MADE IT HOME AN INTO MY DRIVEWAY WHERE I TURNED IT OFF AN BACK ON WHICH AT THAT POINT MY RMP GAUGE STARTED WORKING AN THE CAR ACTED NORMAL. I HAVE ASKED KIA ABOUT THIS PROBLEM NUMEROUS OF TIMES AN I GET NO WHERE. THEY SAY WELL WE SEE THAT THE CONSUMPTION TEST CAME BACK IN THE STANDARD RANGE. I HAVE NO LEAKS AN I HAVE TO PUT OIL IN MY CAR ON A REGULAR BASES. I CAN BE ONLY 4,000 AFTER AN OIL CHANGE AN FEEL IT ACTIING UP AN THEN I CK MY OIL AN MY DIP STICK IS CLEAN NO OIL SO THEN I HAVE TO ADD MORE OIL. I AM CONCERNED THAT I WILL BE ON THE HIGHWAY AN MY CAR WILL JUST SHUT DOWN. MY CAR IS ALWAYS MOVING WHEN I HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. I KEEP GETTING THE RUN AROUND ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
IN MAY. MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND WON'T GO OFF. I'M NOT SURE IF THE AIRBAGS ARE DEFECTIVE OR NOT, BUT I'M SCARED TO DRIVE AROUND WITH THE LIGHT ON. THEN ON JULY 16,2020, MY VEHICLE STARTED CUTTING OFF ON MY IN THE MIDST OF MOVING TRAFFIC. I HAVE TO THROW MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON AND COAST TO A SAFE PLACE TO LET THE TRUCK SIT. IT'S CUT OFF ABOUT 7 TIMES NOW WITH MY 3 KIDS IN THE CAR.
