TAILGATE ELECTRIC RELEASE FAILS TO UNLATCH THE TAILGATE. PULLING THE EMERGENCY RELEASE DOES NOT OPEN THE TAILGATE EITHER. A WARNING APPEARS IN THE GAUGE CLUSTER SUGGESTING THAT THE TAILGATE IS NOT CLOSED, AND THE VEHICLE DOES NOT SIGNAL THAT ALL DOORS ARE COMPLETELY LOCKED AFTER ATTEMPTING TO LOCK THE VEHICLE. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED BY A KIA DEALER.
THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON AND OFF MY DASHBOARD FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW. IT WILL BE ON ONE DAY AND THEN OFF THE NEXT OR ON FOR A FEW DAYS THEN SHUT OFF. I LOOKED ONLINE AND SEEN THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS ISSUE.
The engine is knocking. You can hear it when the car is stopped. The engine has gradually been burning oil. The oil comes on 3500 miles after a synthetic oil change consistently. This is has occurred since 80k miles. The car is currently at 94k miles.
ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHILE AT A STOPLIGHT. ALL LIGHTS CAME ON THE DASHBOARD, ENGINE STARTED TO SMOKE. ONCE PULLED OVER LOWER ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE WAS NOTED. PROPER ROUTINE MAINTENANCE HAD BEEN PERFORMED THROUGH OUT LIFE OF OWNERSHIP
STARTED GOING UP A MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY AND MY CAR STARTED JUMPING AND IMMEDIATELY DECREASED SPEED. IT WOULD NOT GO AND KEPT SKIPPING, LIKE A STOP AND GO TYPE OF DEAL. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTING FLASHING AND I HAD TO PULL OVER. AFTER I GOT MY CAR TOWED IT WAS FOUND THAT THE CAR HAD ZERO OIL IN IT. LIKE BONE DRY BUT WITH ZERO LEAKS ANYWHERE. THE MECHANIC CHECKED EVERYTHING TWICE TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING ELSE WAS INTACT AND IT WAS. MY OIL LIGHT NEVER CAME ON AND IT NEVER SMOKED OR OVERHEATED. I HAD ZERO INDICATION THAT THE CAR DIDN'T HAVE OIL. I WAS 900+ MILES FROM MY NEXT OIL CHANGE. IT WAS LIKE THE OIL EVAPORATED INTO THIN AIR. WE ARE COMPLETELY BAFFLED AS TO WHAT HAPPENED AND WHY THE CAR DIDN'T HAVE ANY OIL IN IT. BECAUSE OF NO OIL, A PISTON BROKE AND THE ENGINE THREW A ROD AND IT IS RUINED. MY CAR NEEDS A WHOLE NEW ENGINE NOW. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THE CAR WAS NO OIL AND THAT IT WAS LIKE IT JUST DISAPPEARED BECAUSE THERE WAS NO OIL RESIDUE ANYWHERE.

MY ENGINE SEIZED. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS PRIOR. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY ENGINE LOST POWER VEHICLE SHUT DOWN AND ENGINE LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. NO PRIOR WARNING LIGHTS WERE ON THE CAR.
EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE STICKING AND NEEDING REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES.
I purchased a like new 2016 KIA Sorento with about 6000 miles on it. Maintenance was performed by Dealer on regular schedule. After appx 40,000 miles, early in 2021, I noticed obscene oil consumption, at least 1 quart every 325 miles. Dealer checked the engine and said "Yes, it is losing oil somewhere.", but did nothing to fix it. High oil consumption continued and eventually cylinders 2 and 4 blew out on interstate with a car load of kids mid-year 2022. Dealer fixed this at my cost of about $1700.00. Late 2022, just past 100,00 miles, one of the exhaust valves broke and pretty much destroyed the engine. Dealer confirmed the issue and stated they would not replace the engine or repair the engine, and recommended I find a mechanic. Since December 2022, I've had the car towed multiple times to the Dealer and then to 2 different shops and no one can or wants to fix the engine. The mechanic where the car has been sitting since February 2023 now says I need to look for an engine myself and he will switch it out. What a sorry company KIA is. I've bought 3 KIAs from the Dealer and I bet this will be my last one. Is there any help is getting my problem resolved?
PROBLEM OCCURRED AROUND 115000 MILES. THE PROBLEM SURFACED AS THE HEATER FAILING TO PROVIDE HEAT. INITIAL DIAGNOSIS FROM REPAIR SHOP WAS A CYLINDER HEAD GASKET LEAK. A SECOND SHOP DIAGNOSIS WAS A BAD THERMOSTAT. THE THERMOSTAT WAS REPLACED BUT SEVERAL WEEKS LATER CAR OVERHEATED WITH SMOKE ALSO COMING FROM TAILPIPE
My engine keeps burning oil at an extremely fast rate and the oil is very dark. Every time I take it in to get an oil change or top off, the mechanics tell me that my care has excessive oil consumption and something is wrong with the engine. My car also hesitates to start. I’ve taken it to get checked out twice stating my concerns, and the mechanics are not able to find anything wrong with it. Also, the indicator light does not come on when my oil is low, which has led to me driving my car with no oil In it.

YOUR $30,000 VEHICLE, FINANCED, APPROVED AND PAID FOR BY ME NEARLY STOLE MY LIFE ON JAN 16, 2021 : ON MILE POST 46 ON I-40, EAST BOUND LANES IN KINGMAN, ARIZONA AT APPROXIMATELY 3:00 PM ON WHAT WAS A BEAUTIFUL TRIP THROUGH ROUTE 66, WHICH SOON BECAME A DEATH TRAP MY PARTNER: ANTHONY [XXX], CO-FINANCER AND SIGNER OF THIS DEATH-TRAP AS WELL AS OUR TWO INNOCENT PARSON RUSSELL TERRIERS WERE NEARLY BURNED TO DEATH IN WHAT COULD AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN EXPLOSION LIKE THAT OF THE PRESS KIA & THE LIKES ARE BEING SUED FOR. I FILED AN EXTENSIVE REPORT AND COMPLAINT WITH KIA AND NOW YOU. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR ONE YEAR. THE LAMINATION AND PAINT ARE BUBBLING UP FOR NO REASON. I TAKE GOOD CARE OF THIS CAR AND IT IS NOT OLD ENOUGH THAT THE PAINT SHOULD BE FAILING. I BELIEVE THE KIA PAINT IS DEFECTIVE. THE PAINT IS BUBBLING UP ON THE REAR HATCH AND ROOF, AS WELL AS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE PASSENGER DOOR. I FOUND NUMEROUS ACCOUNTS OF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER KIA OWNERS FOR NO REASON, AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS FOR KIA PAINT DEFECTS.
DOOR HANDLE FELL OFF IN MY HAND. I CANNOT OPEN DOOR FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE DUE TO CHILD LOCKS BEING ENGAGED. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY I WAS JUST OPENING THE DOOR LIKE USUAL AND IT BROKE OFF.
CAR IS CONSUMING TONS OF OIL. MECHANIC SAID COMMON WITH THIS CAR. OIL GETTING INTO SPARK PLUGS. OIL SUDDENLY EMPTY FREQUENTLY.
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that while driving at less than 10 MPH, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly without warning. The contact was able to shift into neutral (N), which stopped the unintended acceleration and caused the vehicle to operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer who informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure as the vehicle had operated as designed. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the failure reoccurred without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle accelerated unintendedly at a higher speed. The contact depressed the brake pedal and pressed the ON/OFF button, however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact then drove into a vacant parking lot and shifted into neutral (N), which stopped the acceleration. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred while taking the vehicle back to the unknown dealer. Upon arriving at the dealer, the contact informed the dealer that he no longer wanted possession of the vehicle as it was unsafe to drive. The dealer provided the contact with a rental vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact sent a letter to the manufacturer informing them of the failure, but the contact had not yet received a response. The contact stated that the whereabouts of the vehicle were unknown. The failure mileage was 27,093. Manufacturer Safety Recall Campaign issued. COMPLETE ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING
THE ENGINE FAILED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY ALL OF A SUDDEN WITH FUMES COMING OUT OF THE BONNET.
THE ENGINE IS USING MORE THAN 2 QUARTS OF OIL PER 1000 MILES.
TRANSMISSION WON'T SHIFT INTO GEAR AND THE RPM KEEP GOING HIGHER. NOTHING HELPS NOT EVEN LETTING UP ON GAS PEDAL. HAPPENS ON CITY STREETS, HIGHWAYS RURAL ROADS
Paint bubbling/chipping on multiple areas of my car. Concerned for rusting and further damage to my car. Paint chipping was first noticed in 2021 and it has progressively gotten worse since.
DRIVERS SIDE REAR RUNNING LIGHTS DON'T WORK. NO POWER GOING TO THE BULBS (BULBS ARE GOOD). EXCEPT BRAKE LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS WORK. FUSES OKAY. AND ONLY ONE OF THE TWO LIGHT SOCKETS OVER THE REAR LICENSE PLATE HAS POWER AND WORKS. KIA DEALER CLAIMS IT REPLACED THE BURNED OUT BULB IN REAR LICENSE SOCKET, BUT I CHECKED WITHIN A WEEK AND NO POWER TO THE SOCKET. NO FUSES BLOWN.
2016 KIA SORENTO V6 LX FWD AUTOMATIC -- ONE DAY, SUDDENLY, THE WIPER FLUID LEAKED ALMOST THE ENTIRE TANK ON OUR GARAGE FLOOR IMMEDIATELY AFTER FILLING. NO OTHER SMALL LEAKS WERE NOTICED BEFORE THIS MAJOR FAIL. I FOUND KIA BLOGS IN ABUNDANCE AND A LARGE NUMBER OF YOUTUBE VIDEOS REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE. THERE WAS EVEN SPECULATION IN SEVERAL KIA FORUMS THAT THE PROBLEM WAS SO PREVALENT KIA SHOULD, AT A MINIMUM, PUBLISH A SERVICE BULLETIN, AND SOME URGED FOR A BONA FIDE RECALL. I CHECKED THE POINT OF FAILURE AS SUGGESTED IN SEVERAL VIDEOS AND BLOGS, AND INDEED IT WAS A CRACK IN THE WASHER PUMP MECHANISM, APPARENTLY AROUND THE WHITE BULBOUS PIECE THAT BIFURCATES ON OPPOSITE SIDES WHERE RUBBER TUBES ARE ATTACHED TO PLASTIC PROTRUSIONS, AND FROM THERE THE FLUID IS DISPENSED TO EACH OF TWO NOZZLES NEAR THE BASE OF THE WINDSHIELD THAT RELEASE THE FLUID ON DEMAND.

THE CONTACT CALLED MATT BLATT KIA (6211 E BLACK HORSE PIKE, EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ 08234, (609) 573-3100) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE DEALER FOR ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V089000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,510.
RECENTLY, I STARTED TO EXPERIENCE ISSUES WITH MY VEHICLE THAT INCLUDED ENGINE STALLING ON THE HIGHWAY DURING HEAVY TRAFFIC CONDITIONS AND ON LOCAL STREETS WHILE DRIVING WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS DISPLAYED ON THE DASHBOARD.WHEN THIS OCCURRED, I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE ALM KIA DEALERSHIP TO REQUEST A DIAGNOSIS OF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I ARRANGED TO TAKE MY VEHICLE TO THE ATLANTA WEST KIA DEALERSHIP WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK WAS PERFORMED STATING THAT, 4 PART INDUCTION SERVICE, 4 PART FUEL INJECTOR REPLACEMENT, AND A 4 CYLINDER TUNE UP WAS NEEDED. WHEN I RECIEVED THE ESTIMATE FROM ATLANTA WEST KIA, I CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT ALM KIA IN UNION CITY BECAUSE I WAS PERPLEXED THAT THE ABOVE SERVICES WERE NEVER COMMUNICATED TO ME BY MY SERVICE ADVISOR AT KIA UNION CITY WHEN I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE ON 11/11/20. (NOTE: TECHNICIANS ALSO PERFORMED A MULTI-POINT INSPECTION AS WELL). MY SERVICE ADVISOR AARON AUSTIN ACKNOWLEDGED THAT HE NEGLECTED TO TELL ME THAT I NEEDED THE SAME SERVICES THAT ATLANTA WEST KIA WANTED TO PERFORM. HOWEVER, HE STATED THAT IF I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE BACK, HE WOULD PERFORM THE SAME SERVICES FOR $569.99.AFTER OBTAINING BOTH SERVICE ESTIMATES AT THE KIA DEALERSHIPS, I STILL FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE QUOTES FROM KIA AND DECIDED TO TAKE MY KIA SORENTO TO AN INDEPENDENT VEHICLE REPAIR SHOP, TRI-STAR AUTOMOTIVE, IN ORDER TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. AFTER A THOROUGH DIAGNOSIS AND ANALYSIS OF MY VEHICLE ENGINE, TRI-STAR AUTOMOTIVE MECHANICS CONCLUDED THAT MY ENGINE PROBLEMS WERE MORE EXTENSIVE THAN NOTED AT THE KIA DEALERSHIPS.TRI-STAR AUTOMOTIVE PROVIDED A DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THEIR FINDINGS AND WRITTEN ESTIMATE TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE ALONG WITH A PHOTO OF OIL LEAKING FROM THE #4 CYLINDER VALVE OF MY KIA SORENTO ALONG WITH STATING THAT MY ENGINE NEEDED TO REPLACED.
ENGINE BROKE TO PIECES, ORIGINAL OWNER. KIA SAYING SLUDGE. SENT VECHICLE RECORDS. HAS CAR SINCE 12/15/2020. JACK DANIELS DEALERSHIP NEEDS ME TO FIND OUT FROM KIA CORPERATION TO SEE IF ITS COVERED. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WARRANTY. VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVEWAY WHEN TRIED TO START, MADE BANG AND SHUT OFF.
SMOKING, ENGINE KNOCKING
WHEN DRIVING MY STEERING WHEEL WILL STICK TO LEFT AND RIGHT.IT HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS. I HAVE TO MOVE THE STEERING TO KEEP FROM STICKING.
WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ARE IN THE AUTO POSITION, WHILE IN MOTION, THE HEADLIGHTS RANDOMLY TURN OFF WHEN THE TURN SIGNAL IS ACTIVATED AND WHEN CHANGING TO HIGH AND LOW BEAM. WHILE IN THE AUTO POSITION, THE HEADLIGHTS ALSO COME ON RANDOMLY WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED AND NOT RUNNING.
The top padded dash of the instrument panel and the lower crash panel of the instrument panel, which the mechanic identified, have been developing cracks since the car was three years old. I made 3 calls to corporate customer service after the dealership said that the warranty had expired. I was told by the manufacturer that as long as I did not get hurt or cause an accident that they could not do anything about replacing the parts. Since then, numerous additional cracks have developed in the padding, showing deep cracks through the padding to the surface below. The airbags are in the area of the damage. I tried many times to submit photos and a statement from the mechanic who was assigned to my car at the dealership, but each time it failed to load the 8 pictures on this form. If you would like, I could mail them to you if you give me the mailing information. I feel that in time, the pieces will become loose while driving the car and cause a distraction, or the airbags could fail. I NOTICED A GREENISH LIQUID LEAKING ON 12/4/20 AFTER I HAD PUT THE CAR IN PARK. NOT SURE WHAT IT IS BUT I DO SEE THERE IS A RECALL BUT NOT ON MY CAR SPECIFICLLY
turbo feed pipe, high pressure fuel line, oil feedline gaskets, oil return line gaskets, turbo oil feed line. problems started happening in 2016 with turbo. 2020-2024 seem to be having problems with turbo lines and oil lines and nothing seems to be connected. in 2020 something happened and lost oil but no lights came on. also, have had more recalls on this vehicle than any other one i have owned. if there is a problem with this engine or turbo, i just wanted to have my concerns recorded.
THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 70 MILES PER HOUR. I WAS GETTING READY TO BRAKE AND TURN AND WAS UNABLE TO SEE ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE LIGHTS WERE OFF FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 SECONDS.
MY VEHICLE STARTED RUNNING HOT AFTER DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND KEPT CUTTING OFF OUT OF THE BLUE. THEN I CHECKED ALL THE COOLANT AND RADIATOR TO SEE IF FLUID WAS LEAKING NO SIGN OF A CRACK. THEN TOOK IT TO O'REILLYS AUTO PARTS BECAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHR SHOWS CODES P0087, DEFECTED TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR, DEFECTED PCM/TCM. POOR CONNECTOR AND THE FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR. AFTER HAVING IT TOWED TO KIA THEY OPEN IT UP AND SAID I NEEDED A NEW ENGINE AND MY HEAD GASKET WAS CRACKED. AND
I HAVE 2016 SORENTO WHEN I DRIVING ON FREEWAY AND THE ICON TO THE STEERING WHEEL COMES ON I NEED TO VEER TO THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY AND STRUGGLE BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL GET HARD TO MAUNUVER AND FIND SOMEWHERE TO STOP SO I CAN TURN OFF THE CAR AND TURN IT BACK ON AGAIN TO THE ICON BE REMOVED TO IT WOULD UNLOCK THE STEERING WHEEL SO I CAN DRIVE AGAIN.IT HAPPEN VERY OFTEN
Issues with headlights turning off while I'm driving in the dark. Sometimes happens when I use turn signal other times just driving on a straight road in the dark country. Also transmission slips every so often but enough that passengers notice and want to know what is happening. Now car can not be shifted out of park even with foot on brake and steering will lock up and key can't be turned. Of course dealer says would cost over 1k to check it all out and even with 2 warranties nothing is covered. Please advise me what to do next. Lights have been doing this for at least 4 years. Can't remember on the trans issue for sure. Steering locking up about a year and just recently can't shift.
THE ENGINE IN THIS VEHICLE IS MALFUNCTIONING. RADIATOR LEAK CAUSED ISSUES WITH ENGINE WHICH THEN CAUSED OVERHEATING AND A $10,000 REPAIR. NO EXTENDED WARRANTY. KIA STOPPED MAKING THESE ENGINES BECAUSE THEY WERE SO BAD. NOT FAIR AS THE CONSUMER TO HAVE TO PAY AND CLEAN UP A MESS THAT KIA CREATED.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY A PERSON SUDDENLY BRAKES IN FRONT OF ME DRIVING NORMAL SPEED OF ABOUT 35- 55, MILES PER HR, , I SLAMMED ON MY BRAKES AND MY SUV, DID NOT STOP, I MERGED TO LEFT NOT TO HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME , GOD DID THE REST. I SLUMPED OVER WITH MY ANXIETY OUT OF THE ROOF, I REALIZED IT WAS SMOKING SO I TURNED OFF, THE ENGINE,, THERE WAS GRID LOCK TRAFFIC AHEAD, WAITED UNTIL I AND IT COOLED DOWN, CALMLY I REALIZED THERE WAS NO MORE SMOKING, DROVE HOME SAFELY, THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND EACH TIME, THEY KIA DEALER AND KIA CONSUMER SERVICE SAID, THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE THEY WOULD REPAIR THE VEHICLE AND I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TOWING AND FINDINGS AT THIS POINT THERE IS NO RECALL ON MY VEHICLE 2016 KIA SORRENTO, PLEASE HELP I AM ON ANXIETY MEDICATION INCREASE , I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE HOWEVER NO ONE IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH KIA, AS OF TODAY, I APPRECIATE ALL YOUR ASSISTANCE
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND WHEN THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED SHORT MY KIA WOULD STOP I HAD TO SWERVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO STOP. I NOTICED SMOKE FROM THE HOOD SO I WAITED UNTIL IT STOPPED AND SLOWLY MOVED INTO THE ALREADY SLOWED TRAFFIC AND WENT HOME PARK THE VEHICLE AND REPORTED TO KIA BUT THEY CONTINUE TO GIVE ME THE RUN AROUND AND NOT OFFER REPAIRS UNLESS I PAID FOR IT
MAJOR CONSUMPTION/BURNING OF OIL BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. WAS A QUART LOW WHEN HAD OIL CHANGED THE END OF SEPTEMBER. BY THE END OF OCTOBER ALL OF OIL HAD BURNED OUT AND HAD TO ACTUALLY ADD OIL, THEN TAKE TO AUTO SHOP TO CHECK FOR LEAKS. NO LEAKS. THEY DID ANOTHER OIL CHANGE AND NOW I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY KEEP EYE ON OIL LEVEL -- HAD TO ADD OIL AGAIN.
THE ENTIRE VEHICLE SHAKES ON THE TRANSITION FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR. IT PREVIOUSLY WOULD ONLY DO THIS ONCE AT THE BEGINNING OF EVERY DRIVE, BUT NOW IT HAPPENS DURING EVERY ACCELERATION FROM A STOP. IN OTHER WORDS, AFTER EVERY STOP SIGN OR LIGHT, THE SUV WILL KICK WITH A SIGNIFICANT JOLT AS IT SHIFTS FROM 1ST UP TO 2ND GEAR.
EXTERIOR RIGHT REAR HANDLE SNAPPED OFF WHEN ATTEMPTING TO OPEN IT ON STATIONARY VEHICLE. THE SPECIFIC PIECE THAT BROKE OFF IS PLASTIC. THIS PIECE ATTACHES THE MAIN COMPONENT THAT HOLDS THE ENTIRE DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY TO THE DOOR.
SHIFTS ARE GOING INTO 2ND. DOWN SHIFTS HARD WHEN STOPPING. WHEN I SAY IT SHIFTS ARE IT JERKS. TYPICALLY STOPPED AFTER SHUTTING CAR OFF AND RESTARTING. NOW WILL NOT STOP
BLOWN ENGINE ON MY 4 YEAR OLD KIA SORENTO. CAR STARTED BLOWING OUT A LOT OF SMOKE AND WAS RUNNING BAD OUT OF NOWHERE. TOOK TO MECHANIC AND WAS GIVEN THE BAD NEWS THAT AT THE VERY LEAST IT'S A BLOWN HEAD GASKET BUT ONCE HE STARTED GETTING INTO IT HE REALIZED THE ENGINE IS FINISHED.
In October, 2020, the air bag light came on at approximately 90,000 miles. On 10/21/20, I called Kia customer service and they dated it was not covered under any warranty. As of 07/15/22, the airbag light is still on with about 100,000 miles. The airbag light came on and remains on with no incident or accident or repair having occurred. The vehicle is very well maintained and in excellent condition. I called my local Kia dealership on 07/11/2022. They stated the airbag light on my 2011 Kia Sorento is covered under a recall, due to faulty clock spring, but the 2016 Kia Sorento airbag light is not covered. I make this complaint to request NHTSA investigate the same or similar air bag problems occurring on the 2016 Kia Sorento as has occurred with the 2011-2015 Kia Sorento ODS recall. Thank you.
MY CAR BEGIN SHAKING WHILE DRIVING 70MPH ON THE INTERSTATE. I REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES THE PRIOR MONTH. I MADE IT HOME TO FIND THE INSIDE OF MY NEW REAR TIRES WERE COMPLETED RUINED WITH THE WIRES STICKING OUT.
FRONT HEADLIGHTS PERIODICALLY TURNS OFF WITHOUT WARNING, GOES BACK ON AS SOON AS YOU TOUCH THE LIGHT SWITCH. SAFETY HAZARD WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT! HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES! THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVING MOTION BOTH ON A FREEWAY AND ALSO ON A HIGHWAY AND STREET!
POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING. EXTREME DIFFICULTY TO STEER, DANGEROUS SITUATION SINCE IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS TRYING TO TURN LEFT FROM THE LEFT TURNING LANE ON A FREEWAY OFFRAMP. WAS ABLE TO TURN CAR LEFT AND CHANGE TO RIGHT LANE THEN MOVED TO SIDE OF ROAD. TURNED OFF CAR, ON RESTART POWER STEERING RETURNED.
MY VEHICLE IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD AND HAS 70,000 MILES ON IT. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAN ON AND CONTINUED TO BLINK--WHICH IS NOT A GOOD SIGN AND INDICATES OBVIOUS SERIOUS ENGINE ISSUES. THERE IS NO WAY A CAR THAT NEW WITH THAT MANY MILES SHOULD HAVE ENGINE ISSUES.
