THE LIGHTS GO OUT WHEN I TURN MY TURN SINGLE ON OR WHEN I SWITCH FROM LOW BEAMS TO HIGH BEAMS.IT HAPPENS STANDING STILL OR MOVING.IT STARTED AWHILE AGO DON'T KNOW THE MONTH IT WAS SOMETIME LAST YEAR.
IN MOTION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS GOING STRAIGHT FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES STEERING GETS HARD TO MAKE SMALL CORRECTIONS TO THE POINT OVER CORRECTING BECOMES A PROBLEM. PROBLEM GETS WORSE DURING RAIN / WET WEATHER.
OWNER WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 80 HEADING EAST AT APX 65 MILES PER HOUR.WITH NO WARNING , OIL LIGHT STARTED FLASHING ,CAR SEIZED UP AND STARTED MAKING A VERY LOUD BANGING.OWNER IS A 22 YEAR OLD NEW DRIVER AND WAS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE NOT BEEN KILLED. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED KIA DEALER.THE SAME DEALERSHIP OWNER PURCHASED CAR. MILEAGE IS 78.000 MILES AND OIL CHANGES HAVE BEEN DONE AT RECOMMENDED INTERVALS.OWNER IS WAITING TO HEAR FROM DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SOUL. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE ANY ENGINE OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ALSO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE SEIZED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND WAS TOWED BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THE FAILURE AND NO SIGNS OF ANY LEAKAGE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 KIA SOUL ON MY NORMAL ROUTE TO WORK ON 4/5/18. IT WAS A DARK, CLEAR MORNING ON A BUSY HIGHWAY. I WAS MOVING WITH TRAFFIC AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH. AT JUST ABOUT 5:30 A.M., THE VEHICLE MADE A NOISE AND LOST ACCELERATION. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND PARK THE VEHICLE. I WAS PARKED FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MINUTES WHEN I SAW SMOKE AND FLAMES COMING FROM THE ENGINE. I EXITED THE VEHICLE. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, THE VEHICLE WAS FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. NO OTHER PERSONS OR VEHICLES WERE INVOLVED IN THIS INCIDENT. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW AND IT HAD HAD NO SIGNIFICANT MECHANICAL WORK IN THE 2 YEARS THAT I OWNED IT, JUST NORMAL OIL CHANGES AND A COUPLE OF SAFETY RECALLS. NEITHER THE FIREFIGHTER ON THE SCENE, NOR THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER, WERE ABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE, ONLY THAT IT STARTED IN THE ENGINE.

THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A REPORT WAS FILED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE CONTACT CALLED DRIVE TIME AT (832) 325-4380 (LOCATED AT 11205 GULF FREEWAY, HOUSTON, TX 77034) AND WAS INFORMED TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PITRE KIA (9640 EAGLE RANCH ROAD, ALBUQUERQUE, NM 87114, (877) 887-1633) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CLUTCH AND FLY WHEEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
ENGINE DEVELOPED A LOUD KNOCK. WAS NOT ABLE TO DRIVE CAR. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME. FIRST TIME WAS 09/05/2017. IT TOOK 4 MONTHS BEFORE WE GOT CAR BACK. ENGINE WAS WARRANTY REPLACED. TOWED CAR ON 2/17/18 TO DEALERSHIP. STILL WAITING FOR REPAIRS TO BE DONE.
MY CAR HAS STARTER PROBLEMS. STARTER CLICKS AND GRINDS. WAS COMPLETELY DEAD THE FIRST TIME AND WAS JUMP STARTED. AT THE DEALER, IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD AND COULDN'T BE JUMP STARTED. THEY HAVE REPLACED THE STARTER 3 TIMES AND TELL ME IT'S DEFECTIVE STARTERS. I THINK IT'S AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND THEY CAN'T FIND IT. I HAVE BROUGHT IT IN 6 TIMES AND PROBLEM STILL REMAINS.

THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

I RECIBE RECALL FOR AIRBAGS, STERING PINION . THE FUEL SENDING LEVEL UNIT IS DAMAGE AND THE GAUGE FUEL LEVEL IS DOWN. BUT THAT REASON THE SYSTEM TURN ON THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.

THE CONTACT HAD TO MANEUVER THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH TO GET THE LIGHTS TO REMAIN ILLUMINATED; HOWEVER, THEY CONTINUED TO FLICKER AND SHORT WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CLASSIC KIA (902 WALTON DR, TEXARKANA, TX 75503, (903) 793-4623) WHO REPLACED THE BULB. WITHIN A WEEK, THE DRIVER'S SIDE LIGHT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE AGAIN. CLASSIC KIA WAS CONTACTED AGAIN AND WAS UNABLE TO SUPPLY THE PART. THE LIGHTS CONTINUED TO FLICKER. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO CROWN KIA (2001 W LOOP 281, LONGVIEW, TX 75604, (903) 759-4667) WHO WAS ABLE TO SUPPLY THE PIGTAIL AND LIGHT, WHICH WAS REPLACED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE A SECOND TIME. MONTHS LATER, THE LIGHTS CONTINUED TO FLICKER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFED MONTHS LATER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (BROWNS KIA IN MANASSAS, VIRGINIA) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,543.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BOTH TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,400.
I HAVE 2015 KIA SOUL. THE KIA HAS 34,000 SOMETHING MILES ON IT. I WAS DRIVING IT, AND WHEN I MAKE LEFT AND RIGHT TURNS IN THE KIA IT MAKES A LOUD POPPING SOUND IN THE STEERING COLUMN. I WAS DRIVING HOME TODAY FROM WORK AND WHEN I MADE A LEFT TURN IT WAS LOUD POPPING SOUND AGAIN. I'M VERY SCARED THAT IT'S GOING TO CAUSE ME TO HAVE STEERING PROBLEMS AND I HAVE WRECK LOOSING CONTROL OF STEERING. I HEARD THE POPPING SOUND WEEK AGO FROM TODAY AND IT WASN'T THAT BAD, BUT WEEK HAS GONE BY THE SOUND IS MORE THERE THEN IT WAS BEFORE WHEN YOUR DRIVING AND TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT IN THE KIA SOUL.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE FAILURE. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. KIA USES SOY BASED COATING/INSULATION ON ALL THEIR WIRING & HOSES, MAKING IT SUSCEPTIBLE TO BEING DAMAGED BY RODENTS. THE WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE ON MINE WAS DAMAGED DUE TO RODENTS. AFTER DOING MORE RESEARCH ONLINE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT MORE IMPORTANT COMPONENTS BEING DAMAGED BY RODENTS AS WELL, AND KIA STATING IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE MANUFACTURES WARRANTY, AND/OR IT WASN'T THEIR FAULT. MY CAR WAS DAMAGED BY THESE RODENTS WHILE SITTING PARKED IN THE PARKING LOT OF MY APARTMENT BUILDING.
CONTINUOUSLY HAVING MY BATTERY GO DEAD, BUT LOCKS AND LIGHTS WORK AT THE TIME THE. ARTERY IS DEAD. WHEN YOU GO TO START THE CAR YOU HEAR A SERIES OF CLICKS,BUT WON'T TURN OVER. WHEN YOU GO TO JUMP START THE BATTERY IT TAKES ONLY 30 SECONDS TO A MINUTE TO START. THEY HAVE CHECKED MY BATTERY AND CAR OUT AND CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT.
OUR 2015 KIA SOUL EV HAS OVER HEATED THE MAIN CONTROLLER AND SHUT DOWN IN TRAFFIC AND WOULD NOT MOVE. THIS HAPPENED TWICE IN CHANDLER (PHOENIX ) ARIZONA AFTER TRAVELING JUST 10 MILES. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. THE CAR CANNOT HANDLE THE HEAT IN ARIZONA, GEORGIA OR OTHER HOT SOUTHERN STATES. THE BATTERIES AND BMS ALSO FAIL AFTER 2-3 YEARS.
AS I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE PILLAR. I WAS DRIVING IN THE "B" MODE. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR HOME, BUT LATER HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY REPORTED THAT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM OR FIGURE OUT WHAT CAUSED IT.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND DROVE TO COURTESY KIA OF BRANDON (9205 E ADAMO DR, TAMPA, FL 33619, 813-579-5942) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. THE REPAIR SPECIFICS WERE UNKNOWN. THE CONTACT PAID OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIRS. SOON AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED, THE FAILURE CONTINUED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE SAME DEALER APPROXIMATELY FOUR TIMES FOR VARIOUS ENGINE DEFECTS. RECENTLY, WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD NOISES COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. MOMENTS LATER, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD BOOM COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL. THE CONTACT PULLED OFF TO THE SHOULDER AND TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE SAME DEALER. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURES WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V120000 (ENGINE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
LOUD CRANKING NOISE WHEN STEERING THE CAR LEFT OR RIGHT.
NEXEN TIRES DO NOT PASS STATE INSPECTION AND THEY HAVE LESS THAN 23,500 MILES ON THEM, THESE TIRES ARE COMING APART GOUGES DOWN TO TELL STEEL BELTS.
THE REAR OF THE CAR IS ALWAYS FILLING UP WITH WATER WHERE THE SPATE TIRE SITS. THE CAT ISN'T WATER TIGHT. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON MANY OCCASIONS
IN DEC 2014 I LEASED A NEW KIA SOUL. I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH THE CAR FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND THEN IT RANDOMLY WOULDN'T START AT ODD INTERVALS. THIS HAPPENED WHILE PARKED AT MY DAUGHTER'S DANCE STUDIO, HAVING DRIVEN THERE TO PICK HER UP (JAN 2016). I HAD IT JUMP STARTED THEN SO I COULD GET HOME. HAD TO HAVE IT JUMP STARTED AGAIN THE NEXT MORNING SO I COULD DRIVE KIDS TO SCHOOL AND DRIVE TO THE DEALER. DEALER CHARGED THE BATTERY AND CAR WORKED FINE UNTIL NOV 2016 WHEN I DROVE FROM HOME TO WALMART, DID SOME QUICK SHOPPING BEFORE WORK, AND THE CAR WOULDN'T START WHEN I CAME BACK OUT. I HAD KIA ROADSIDE SERVICE JUMP THE CAR, DROVE IT TO THE DEALER (WAS LATE FOR WORK) BUT THE DEALER RETURNED THE CAR TO ME SAYING THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. AGAIN IN NOV 2016 ON THANKSGIVING, CAR WOULD NOT START IN MY GARAGE. I HAD KIA ROADSIDE SERVICE JUMP START IT AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO MY MOTHER'S 2 HOURS AWAY. I PARKED THE CAR THERE AND AFTER SITTING FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, IT STARTED FINE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO AGAIN COULD NOT DUPLICATE ANY ISSUES. AT THAT TIME I WOULD NOT TAKE THE CAR BACK WITHOUT A NEW BATTERY, FOR WHICH KIA DID REIMBURSE ME LATER. AGAIN I MARCH 2017, CAR WOULD NOT START AT HOME. HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. KIA SAID (SEE LETTER ATTACHED) THAT BECAUSE NOTHING WAS FOUND TO BE WRONG WITH THE CAR, THEY ARE NOT LIABLE. I THINK THE FACT THAT THE CAR WOULDN'T START IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT!
THE VEHICLE STIBILITY CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON WHEN IT WANT , WHICH IS THE PART OF THE (ABS). THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SEVERAL TIMES TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH NO LUCK. THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF WHEN YOU TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. I DO ALSO HEAR A CLICKING NOISE FROM TH DRIVER SIDE REAR BRAKE FOR COUPLE OF FEET BUT WENT AWAY. NO CODES PRESENT AT ALL A CORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP WHEN THEY CHECKED. DOE TO THE PHOTOS WHICH MY WIFE AND I HAVE TAKEN DURING THE PROBLEM THE DEALERSHIP DECIDED TO CHECK THE AUTO. THE WIFE AND I HAVE WAITED SEVERAL HRS. AT THE DEALERSHIP, BUT STILL NO LUCK FOR THE LIGHT OR THE CLICKING SOUND TO COME ON. THE WIFE AND I ARE VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS AT THIS TIME. IT SEEMS LIKE (REPLACE THE ABS) CONTROL MODEL SHOULD ELIMINATE THE PROBLRM.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000.
CAR PURCHASED NEW IN FEB 2016. CAR HAD APPROXIMATELY 9,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND UPON ARRIVING AT HER DESTINATION PARKED THE CAR. ON EXITING THE VEHICLE SHE AND HER FRIEND NOTICED SMOKE RISING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE HOOD AT THE WINDSHIELD. THIS QUICKLY DEVELOPED INTO A SMALL FLAME. THE ENTIRE CAR WAS CONSUMED BY FIRE WITHIN THE 13 MINUTE RESPONSE TIME OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.

THE ENGINE FAILED AT 23,600 MI. I WAS SITTING IN TRAFFIC WHEN THE "OIL" LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE SEIZED UP COMPLETELY. FORTUNATELY THIS DID NOT HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY. THE KIA DEALERSHIP DENIED THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY STATING THAT SINCE I DID THE OIL CHANGES MYSELF THE WARRANTY WAS VOID. I PAID A MECHANIC TO REPLACE THE ENGINE. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP THE MECHANIC SAID THEY HAD JUST REPLACED THE ENGINE IN A 2014 KIA OPTIMA AND WHERE MORE THAN FAMILIAR WITH AN ENGINE SWAP ON A MODERN KIA. THESE CARS ARE NOT SAFE, THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATING KIA MOTORS FOR THEIR FRAUDULENT PRACTICES.

MY KIA SOUL ELECTRONIC DOOR LOCKS OPERATE IN A RANDOM AND DANGEROUS FASHION. I UNLOCKED THE CAR AND PUT MY PUPPY IN THE VEHICLE AND CLOSED THE DOOR NOT KNOWING THAT MY KEYS WERE STILL IN THE CAR; ALL THE DOORS IMMEDIATELY LOCKED AND I HAD TO BREAK THE WINDOW TO SAVE THE DOG. OTHER TIMES ONE OR TWO DOORS WILL LOCK. THE DELAY IN LOCKING IS RANDOM AND UNRELIABLE. CAR WAS IN PARKING LOT. THIS SYSTEM SHOULD BE DISABLED UNTIL KIA REVIEWS OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM. I WAS DRIVING 35 MPH ON HWY US1, CAR IN FRONT OF ME REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT OF IT. I PLACED FOOT ON BRAKE AND DIDNT SEEM TO BE SLOWING QUICK ENOUGH. I THEN PLACED BOTH FEET ON BRAKE TO STOP AND STILL HIT THE CAR INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT.
WHEN APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION, THE BRAKES FAILED ON MY WIFE'S 2015 KIA SOUL. SHE PRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THEY NEVER PRESSURIZED. FORTUNATELY THE AIRBAGS WORKED WELL, AND SHE WAS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED IN THE ACCIDENT. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER IN THE OTHER VEHICLE LEFT IN AN AMBULANCE. I TESTED THE BRAKES ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE BODY SHOP, AND THEY DID NOT PRESSURIZE THERE EITHER. THE CAR IS 9 MONTHS OLD, HAD ROUGHLY 9,000 MILES ON IT, AND HAS NOT HAD ANY MECHANICAL WORK PERFORMED ON IT.

I HIRED THIS CAR FROM THRIFTY RENTAL CARS, AND WAS IN A COLLISION ON THE I80 FREEWAY, WHEREIN I HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT DURING STOP-START TRAFFIC, I WAS TRAVELLING WAY BELOW THE SPEED LIMIT.
