THE REAR DRIVE SHAFT FELL APART AT LOW SPEED. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY AT HIGH SPEED
DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, THE MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF RUST ON THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE SEVERAL PLACES WHERE THE RUST HAD LEFT HOLES IN THE METAL 6 INCHES IN LENGTH. THE MECHANIC INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD LIKELY NOT PASS A VEHICLE SAFETY INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT HE HAD NOT SEEN A FRAME RUSTED THIS BADLY ON A VEHICLE THAT WAS ONLY 7 YEARS OLD. *TR
JUST GOT OFF MAJOR HIGHWAY AND CAR STARTED TO VIBRATE UNCONTROLLABLY AND MAKE A KNOCKING SOUND AND JUST STOPPED IF A LOUD NOSE THAT SOUNDED LIKE THE ENGINE FELL OUT. CARS BEHIND ME SWERVED TO AVOID HITTING ME AND TWO PEOPLE STOPPED TO PUSHED MY CAR OUT OF HARMS WAY. I HAD TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED AND THE NEXT DAY MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THE DRIVE SHAFT FELL OUT. THIS JUST HAPPENED THIS ON 12/2/08 AND I HAVE NOT HAD IT REPAIRED AS OF YET DUE TO THE COSTLY EXPENSE. *TR
