Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2011-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles, originally sold, or ever registered, in Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, or "Zone B." Unless included in "Zone B" above, Land Rover is recalling certain 2010-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles, originally sold, or ever registered, in Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming or "Zone C." These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.
Remedy Status
Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag assembly, free of charge. The recall began June 27, 2018. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P084.

JAGUAR LAND ROVER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 RANGE ROVER VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 208, "OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION." THESE VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) MAY EXPERIENCE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATION ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL BE DISABLED WHEN THE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP IS ILLUMINATED AS A RESULT OF THIS DEFECT AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING DISABLE (PAWD) LAMP IN THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE WILL ALSO ILLUMINATE.
Remedy Status
DEALER WILL UPDATE THE VEHICLE'S RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE (RCM) WITH THE INTEGRATED DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM (IDS) TOOL WITH SOFTWARE FROM DVD 118.5 PATCH 16 OR LATER. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 21, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JAGUAR LAND ROVER AT 1-800-452-4827.
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2006-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured April 15, 2005, to September 4, 2012. One or both of the flexible front brake hoses may rupture causing loss of brake fluid.
Remedy Status
Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the left and right front brake hoses, free of charge. The recall began on July 28, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P054.

Additionally, unless included in "Zone A" above, Land Rover is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles, originally sold, or ever registered, in Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, or "Zone B." Previous recall repair on rear spoiler falling off did not work and it is falling off again. Dealer and manufacturer will not re-repair the manufacturers defect nor their work, leaving the hazard unaddressed. Sees below. NHTSA, Please be advised that Jaguar Land Rover North America is not adhering to the required National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s official recall, 21V635000, where the rear spoiler falls off due to a manufacturers design defect and potentially can cause a serious accident, injury or even a fatality at highway speeds. The vehicle was previously fixed under recall, but that fix failed. VIN: [XXX] I have been advised by the owner/manager of Land Rover of the Treasure Coast that it is more important that they get reimbursed prior to fixing the defect, despite the safety of others on the road. This needs to be investigated. My concerns are: 1. Did Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) hoodwink NHTSA into a cheap, non-lasting fix just to satisfy the liability and recall requirement? If so, NHTSA should reissue another recall to recheck the previous recall to verify the fix was adequate and either do it again or develop another solution, bringing those affected vehicles in again for additional work. This is especially true since JD Power and other reputable car statistical reviews consistently rate this brand towards the bottom of reliability and repair costs. This historical point demonstrates why the NHTSA should not trust JLR. 2. How important is public safety? If a safety recall was important enough to be issued in the first place, how is it that a follow up repair for the same recall isn’t addressed? Why isn’t there a readily available avenue for reporting this shortcoming on the NHTSA website. Can anyone explain how if a safety recall campaign was important enough to be issued in the first place, why is it not if the same issue fails again, or if the approved resolution was inadequate? The contact owns a 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, she heard an abnormal sound coming from the rear windshield wiper. The contact became aware that the wiper arm was hitting a part of the spoiler that had started to detach. The contact stated that she pulled off the road and observed that the upper cover of the rear spoiler had detached and was hanging down over the rear windshield. The contact stated that the panel located in the center of the spoiler where the reflector was mounted was missing. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V623000 (Structure). The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
I have tried making multiple appointments at the dealership in mobile alabama to get this recall taken care of after 2 attempts I took it to the Nashville dealership. The first attempt in mobile I called before driving over an hour away to the appointment and they didn't have the appointment on there schedule when I had scheduled over a month in advance and the second time I called and they did not having parts in stock even though I made an appointment. I took it to Nashville dropped it off for 5 days while visiting when I came back the recall for the fuel tank still had not been done nor was I notified as to why. They did another recall and it was supposed to be finished by 8am the day I picked it up I wasn't able to leave the dealership until around 3pm due to their negligence and miscommunication still without the recall I brought it in for completed. Now there is a fuel smell and I now have tried making an appointment again with the mobile alabama dealership and they want me to leave it there for days to be completed and suggested I rent a car because they cannot loan a vehicle when this recall is only supposed to take a day.
While driving vehicle suddenly started to rub or grind. I proceeded to get off highway and was left stranded! Luckily this failure happened at a point of highway where I could exit! I believe a faulty transmission input shaft is the reason for the broken vehicle.

The contact notified Land Rover Nashville (3 Cadillac Dr, Brentwood, TN 37027) who advised as the first dealer. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 151,948. VIN did not link the recall to the vehicle.

The contact stated that he could also smell the gasoline odor inside the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V635000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and the vehicle was towed to the dealer who informed the contact that they could not complete the recall repair as they did not have the fuel tank retainer plates. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Hello, i have 2010 Land Rover Range Rover sport. 4 weeks ago i smell gas and i saw error code about gas cap. I purchased 2 gas cap and replaced it but i keep smelling gas. I took the car to shop and mechanic confirmed gas leak. I call LandRover customer service and i talk to Debbie and Tiffany. I told them about upcoming gas leak recall and they told me they couldn't help me before official recall announcement. I took the car to Landrover dealer in Alexandria Virginia and i talk to Ash and he told me the same thing to wait until offical recall. I don't know why we wait until October 8, 2021 if gas leak is fire hazard. NHTSA i really appreciate for your help and thank you for your time. Have a blessed day.
2010 Range Rover Sport. Consumer writes in regards to Rear Spoiler Outer Surface Retention Safety Recall. THE CONSUMER STATED THE WHILE DRIVING THE REAR SPOILER BLEW OFF AND HIT THE VEHICLE BEHIND IT. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE DAMAGES.

THREE WEEKS AGO THE REAR SPOILER FLEW OFF WHILE DRIVING AT POSTED SPEEDS DOWN THE HIGHWAY, UNBEKNOWNST TO ME UNTIL I ARRIVED AT MY DESTINATION. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALER TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR BASED ON THIS NOTICE, AND AM NOW BEING TOLD THE PART IS UNAVAILABLE, WITH NO ETA. I AM EXPERIENCING "LOSS OF USE" OF MY VEHICLE DUE TO THIS SAFETY RECALL, WHILE I AM WAITING FOR THIS PART. LAND ROVER JAGUAR WILL NOT AGREE TO COVER ANY ADDITIONAL DAMAGE SHOULD I CHOOSE TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE WITH THE WIRING EXPOSED DUE TO THE SPOILER NOT BEING REPLACED IN A TIMELY MANNER.

The contact stated he then experienced the failure for a second time but with the Atlantic British lower control arms LR029301K; Front Lower passenger’s side aftermarket part. ON 11/14/2020 I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM CARISMA AUTO GROUP LOCATED IN TAMPA FL. ON 1/5/2021 WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY, THE WATER PUMP FAILED. ON 1/6/2021 IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT STOP LEAK CONCENTRATE WAS PUT IN THE RADIATOR.
