TAKATA RECALL MY DEALER STATES THAT, AS OF TODAY 3/29/2017, THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR ES350 MODELS. I HAVE NOT HAD AN INCIDENT BUT I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE LONG DELAY IN CORRECTING THE PROBLEM, AND LIVE IN CALIFORNIA WHERE THE DEGREDATION OF THE INFLATORS IS MOST LIKELY DUE TO CLIMATE CONDITIONS.
I RECEIVED NOTICED OF THE NHTSA RECALL 16V-340 IN MAY OF 2016. TEN MONTHS LATER LEXUS STILL DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS AT DEALERS TO GET THIS FIXED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
STILL NO REMEDY FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT IT WOULD TAKE ALMOST A YEAR AND STILL NOTHING YET! THEY SEEM TO HAVE ENOUGH AIRBAGS FOR THE NEW CARS THEY ARE MAKING. LETS FIX THE BAD AIRBAGS FIRST BEFORE ANYONE ELSE GETS KILLED! COME ON NHTSA LETS GET ON TOYOTA AND MAKE THEM GET THIS DONE.
TAKATA RECALL-I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION IN MAY OF 2016 AND WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED THAT AIRBAG WOULD BE REPLACED AS PART BECAME AVAILABLE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING PATIENTLY, BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD REPEATEDLY BY LOCAL LEXUS DEALER THAT PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR NOW. I FIND THIS TO BE UNREASONABLE, ESPECIALLY SINCE NO ONE CAN OCCUPY THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT.

THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY AVAILABLE FOR MY CAR. I LIVE IN ZONE 1! MY CAR IS NINE YEARS OLD AND STILL LEXUS HAS NOT MADE AN AIRBAG REPLACEMENT FOR ANY OF THE ES MODELS! WHY? OTHER CAR MANUFACTURERS HAVE FIXED THEIR CARS. NOT ACCEPTABLE. NHSTA NEEDS TO GET ON LEXUS/TOYOTA TO GET THIS DONE. THIS IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS. THIS IS MY TEENAGERS CAR. HOW MANY MORE DEATHS DO WE NEED IN ORDER TO GET THIS DONE? UNTIL LEXUS IS FORCED TO COMPLY IN A REASONABLE TIME, THEY WILL NOT. WE ARE GETTING CLOSE TO A YEAR NOW. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

MY DASH BOARD IS BAD N CAUSING VERY BAD VISION TO DRIVE.LEXUS STATE THEY ARE NOT GOING TO COVER THIS AT THIS POINT DUE TO MISSING THE DEAD LINE.I PURSCHASE THIS VEHICLE USED N KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM UNTIL INFORMED BY LEXUS SERVICE.

SOME SNOW & ICE ON I82, FROM SUNNYSIDE, WA, (MP 69) TO WEST RICHLAND (MP 96). ENTERING FREEWAY, CAR WOULD ONLY GO 40MPH, ENGINE SURGING LIKE TRANSMISSION STUCK IN 3RD GEAR. TRAFFIC VERY LIGHT. STOPPED AT WEIGH SCALE TO CHECK WHEEL WELLS FOR ICE AS THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE THE REASON CAR ACTING STRANGE. WELLS COMPLETELY CLEAR. GET BACK ON I82, FIRST UNDERPASS HAS PATCHES OF ICE THAT I CAN SEE. WHEN I GO OVER THE ICE, THE CAR BRAKES HARD BY ITSELF AND THE REAR OF THE CAR SWINGS OUT TO THE LEFT & STARTS TO GO BROADSIDE. I KEEP THE CAR UNDER CONTROL. AS TRAFFIC INCREASES, I PUT MY FLASHERS ON & STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE BECAUSE I CANNOT GET THE CAR TO GO FASTER THAN 40MPH. THE NEXT UNDERPASS, I GET AGAIN HARD BRAKING BY THE CAR AND BROADSIDE SWING INTO THE LEFT LANE. I KNOW IT IS AN ISSUE WITH THE CAR BECAUSE I DID NOT BRAKE. NEXT UNDERPASS I HAVE TO SLOW TO 30MPH TO MAKE SURE THE CAR COMING UP BESIDE ME IS CLEAR BECAUSE I KNOW I WILL SWING TO THE LEFT. I AM NOT ACCELERATING OR BRAKING AND YES, AGAIN AT 30MPH IT BRAKES AND I GO BROADSIDE TO THE LEFT. THIS IS A TERRIFYING TRIP, THERE ARE 4 OR 5 UNDERPASSES & EACH TIME IT'S THE SAME BROADSIDE MOVEMENT WITH AUTO BRAKING BY THE CAR. I EXIT AT MP 69. GOING EASTBOUND ON KENNEDY RD WHERE THERE IS COMPACT SNOW AND ICE, IT WILL NOT GO FASTER THAN 25MPH AND IS SQUIRRELY, BACK END MINOR SWINGING BACK AND FORTH AS AUTO BRAKING IS HAPPENING. NEXT MORNING, TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP, RAN DIAGNOSTICS, COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG. HAVE 84,500 MILES ON CAR, BOUGHT IT IN OCT 2015, HAD WATER PUMP REPLACED AT SAME DEALERSHIP IN JANUARY 2017. I DROVE THIS CAR LAST YEAR IN SNOW AND ICE AND NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS BUT NOW I WILL NOT DRIVE THIS CAR AGAIN & WE ARE ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE. IF MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HAD BEEN DRIVING, SHE WOULD HAVE ROLLED THE CAR. IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF EXPERIENCE I KNEW TO GENTLY CONTROL THE CAR.

THIS IS UNREASONABLE AS WE ARE UNABLE TO USE THE CAR I TRANSPORTING GRANDCHILDREN AND EVEN GO OUT TO DINNER WITH FRIENDS. WHY?

TAKATA RECALL - HAVE CONTACTED OUR LEXUS DEALERSHIP FOR 1-1/2 YRS. ACCORDING TO YOUR SITE AND THE DEALERSHIP NO LEXUS AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN REPAIRED. SINCE AGE IS THE CRITICAL FACTOR, OLDER CARS SHOULD BE REPAIRED FIRST. WHEN CAN WE EXPECT OUR 2008 CAR TO BE REPAIRED? WHY HAVE LEXUS DEALERSHIPS NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLACEMENT PART?
MELTING DASHBOARD I HAVE BEEN ON THE LIST FOR MY VEHICLE'S DEFECTIVE DASHBOARD RECALL SINCE 9/2015. I ALSO COMPLETED THE IN STORE INSPECTION REQUIRED BY THE DEALERSHIP 10/2016. YEAR TO DATE, THE DASHBOARD HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED. IS LEXUS STILL HONORING THIS RECALL?
TAKATA RECALL: I WAS NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL ON JAN. 9, 2017. IN THE NOTIFICATION I WAS WARNED NOT TO HAVE ANYONE RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL A REMEDY IS DEVELOPED. IT IS NOW APPROACHING 90 DAYS WITHOUT ANY REMEDY NOTIFICATION. I THINK THIS IS A BIT EXCESSIVE AND CERTAINLY OUTRAGEOUS FOR SOMEONE WHO PURCHASED A LUXURY AUTOMOBILE AND IS NOW UNABLE TO HAVE MY WIFE RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT.

TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE BY LEXUS IN JANUARY, 2017 ADVISING ME THAT THAT I SHOULD NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THERE IS A REMEDY. TO DATE, THERE IS NO REMEDY EVEN THOUGH THE ANTICIPATED REMEDY DATE WAS THIS MONTH, SEPTEMBER, 2017. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ALLOW A FRONT SEAT PASSENGER IN MY CAR SINCE JANUARY, 2017 AND THIS HAS CAUSED A GREAT INCONVENIENCE FOR MY FAMILY. TAKATA RECALL. IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 6 MONTHS SINCE WE WERE NOTIFIED ABOUT THE AIR BAG RECALL. WE KEEP CALLING OUR LOCAL DEALER TO GET AN ESTIMATED DATE THAT THE AIR BAGS WILL BE REPLACED AND ALL WE GET IS ' WE WILL CALL YOU WHEN GET THEM TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIRS'. WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG?!?!?!?!?! I DIDN'T PURCHASE THE CAR FROM THAT DEALER SO I WONDERING IF THEY ARE PUTTING MY SAFETY BEHIND THE SAFETY OF THE LEXUS OWNERS WHO PURCHASED A CAR FROM THEIR STORE EVEN IF THEIR CAR WAS PURCHASED AFTER MINE'S. I AM TIRED OF THE INCONVENIENCE OF RIDING IN THE BACK SEAT - AS ADVISED BY THE RECALL LETTER - AND TIRED OF ASKING FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT EVEN WHEN THERE ARE ONLY TWO OF US IN THE CAR. I WOULD LIKE AN EXPLANATION OF THE LOCAL LEXUS DEALER ON HOW THEY SCHEDULE THE REPAIRS. HOW DO THEY PRIORITIZE THEIR CUSTOMERS TO DETERMINE WHO WILL BE SERVICED AND MADE SAFER. TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM LEXUS MANY MONTHS AGO; JANUARY, I BELIEVE, BUT HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A FOLLOW-UP NOTICE FOR REPAIR. WHEN I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER TODAY, I WAS TOLD THAT REPAIR IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND I HAVE TO CONTINUE WAITING. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THIS PROCESS IS TAKING SO LONG. LEXUS RECOMMENDS THAT I DO NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I THINK TO DO SO FOR TEN MONTHS IS TOTALLY UNREALISTIC.
THE DASHBOARD GETS EXTREMELY STICKY AND I HAVE NOTICE A SMALL HOLE WHICH HAS NOW TURNED INTO A CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. I THINK THIS HAPPEN AS A RESULT OF THE HEAT. I DON'T ALWAYS KEEP MY CAR PARKED UNDER A GARAGE.
POTENTIALLY FATAL HAZARD REGARDING THE AIRBAG INFLATOR HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED SINCE MAY 2016. THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY AS OF DECEMBER 15, 2016. LEXUS AND TAKATA ARE NOT DOING ALL THAT THAT SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO DO IN A TIMELY MATTER. THIS IS A MATTER OF SAFETY AND LIFE.
