TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED NOTICE IN JUNE 2016 AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED A FIX TO THE AIRBAG PROBLEM. THE LINCOLN GARAGE IN NEWPORT NEWS SAYS THEY CAN DO NOTHING BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE PART. I AM CONCERNED AND WOULD LIKE TO GET THE AIRBAG FIXED BECAUSE WE HAVE A DOWN SYNDROME GRANDDAUGHTER IN THE FAMILY.
TAKATA RECALL WE WERE NOTIFIED OF RECALL 6/2016. WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH OUR LOCAL LINCOLN DEALER AS WELL AS LINCOLN CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO ONE KNOWING WHEN THE RECALLED AIRBAG WILL BE REPLACED. OUR CAR INSURANCE MADE COPY OF RECALL LETTER, PUT IT IN OUR FILE AND SAID NO PASSENGER CAN RIDE IN FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT. HUSBAND DRIVES CAR, WIFE SITS IN BACK SEAT, IF WIFE TAKES FRIEND TO LUNCH FRIEND SITS IN BACK SEAT, ETC. IT HAS BEEN 15 MONTHS SINCE RECALL WITH NO INFORMATION PROVIDED.

TAKATA INFLATORS IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE I RECEIVE THE FIRST NOTICE ABOUT MY AIRBAG THAT COULD RESULT IN DEATH. I HAVE NOT BEEN NOTICE WHEN MY AIRBAG CAN BE REPLACE.

TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A NOTICE BY MAIL IN JUNE 2016. IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR AND NO REMEDY IS AVAILABLE. I JUST CALLED MY FORD DEALERSHIP, AND THEY ALSO HAVE NO INFORMATION. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS? THE NOTICE STATES METAL FRAGMENTS CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH. THIS CONCERNS US.
TAKATA RECALL. HAVE CONTACTED FORD LINCOLN OF FRANKLIN (TN) SEVERAL TIMES TO ARRANGE FOR AIRBAG REPLACEMENT, AND EACH TIME TOLD THEY DON'T HAVE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS. THEY ALSO HAVE SAID I WILL RECEIVE NOTIFICATION BY MAIL WHEN AIRBAGS ARE IN STOCK, BUT I HAVE HAD NO COMMUNICATION FROM THEM.
THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR COULD RUPTURE IF THE VEHICLE IS INVOLVED IN A CRASH WHERE THE SUPPLEMENTAL FRONTAL AIRBAGS ARE DESIGNED TO DEPLOY. THIS DEFECT REPORT IS IN RESPONSE TO TAKATA DIRS 16E-042, 16E-043, 16E-044.THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR COULD RUPTURE IF THE VEHICLE IS INVOLVED IN A CRASH WHERE THE SUPPLEMENTAL FRONTAL AIRBAGS ARE DESIGNED TO DEPLOY. RECALL WAS ISSUED JUNE 2016. REC'D UPDATE IN DECEMBER 2017 STATING NOT TO ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT OF MY CAR TO PREVENT INJURY OR DEATH. I AM A ONE VEHICLE HOME AND THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE. THERE DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE ANY HURRY TO FIX THE RECALL, AS IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 2 YEARS BUT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS YOU THE BLAME WILL BE PLACED ON THE VEHICLE OWNER. I FEEL YOU SHOULD EITHER FIX THE ISSUE OR PROVIDE A SAFE VEHICLE TO USE UNTIL A RESOLUTION PRESENTS ITSELF.

COMPLAINT REGARDING SAFETY RECALL 16S26 / NHTSA RECALL 16V-384. I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED BY LINCOLN MOTOR COMPANY OF THIS RECALL VIA A POSTAL LETTER IN JULY 2016. UPON BEING NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL I HAVE ASKED THE LINCOLN DEALER SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE 2 YEAR PERIOD THE RECALL HAS BEEN IN PLACE WHEN THE PARTS, ETC. WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE NEEDED CORRECTION. EACH TIME I HAVE RECEIVED THE RESPONSE THAT THE PARTS OF STILL NOT AVAILABLE. THIS RECALL HAS BEEN IN PLACE FOR 2 YEARS WITHOUT BEING REMEDIED BY LINCOLN MOTOR COMPANY DUE TO THE PARTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE. AN AIRBAG DEFECT IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WAITING 2 YEARS FOR THE CORRECT PART TO REMEDY THE ISSUE IS UNACCEPTABLE IN MY OPINION.
TAKATA RECALL: OVER TWO YEARS FOR A SAFETY RECALL OF THIS IMPORTANCE IS UNACCEPTABLE! LOCAL FORD DEALER DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE COURTESY TO RETURN MY CALL. SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED LAST QUARTER OF 2017, THEN SECOND OR THIRD QUARTER OF 2018, STILL NOTHING. NEXT WE WILL BE TOLD THE CAR IS TOO OLD TO BE FIXED. PARTS WILL BE OBSOLETE. WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF PATIENCE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP AND THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE ORIGINAL RECALL IS FROM APRIL 2016. SINCE THAT TIME I COULD NOT HAVE A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE. IN MAY 2018 I WAS OFFERED A RENTAL CAR BECAUSE NOW I CANNOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE AT ALL. MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY NOW SINCE JULY 3RD AND I AM FORCED TO DRIVE A RENTAL THAT IS NOT COMPARABLE TO MY MKX. ALSO, IT IS QUITE INCONVENIENT SINCE EVERY 30 DAYS I HAVE TO RENEW THE RENTAL AGREEMENT WHICH INVOLVES ME GOING TO TWO DIFFERENT PLACES FOR PAPERWORK AND TAKES ABOUT AN HOUR EACH TIME. I HAVE HAD 4 DIFFERENT AGREEMENTS SO FAR BECAUSE WHEN I WAS AWAY THEY WANTED THE RENTAL BACK AND WHEN I GOT HOME HAD TO GET ANOTHER RENTAL. IT HAS BEEN TIME CONSUMING AND BOTHERSOME. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY OWN CAR TO DRIVE.

MY MKX HAS STALLED OVER THE YEARS AND THE DEALER SAYS THAT'S NORMAL. WELL, FOR THE FIRST TIME, I STALLED ON A HILL IN A PARKING LOT AND MY STEERING LOCKED AND BRAKES DIDN'T WORK. AS SOON AS I REALIZED I STALLED AND SLAMMED MY BRAKES, TRIED TO STEER AWAY FROM THE CAR BEHIND ME, IT WAS TOO LATE FOR THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. I SLAMMED INTO A BUSINESS ASSOCIATE'S SUV THAT WAS PARKED AND WE BOTH HAVE ABOUT 3K WORTH OF DAMAGE.

MY 2007 LINCOLN MKX AWD IS MAKING A HOWLING/BUZZING NOISE AS I ACCELERATE PAST ABOUT 35 MPH AND GETS LOUDER AS I ACCELERATE. ALSO AT TIMES AS I'M WAITING TRAFFIC SIGNAL LIGHTS I SOMETIMES SMELL A PROPANE/GAS ODOR. TOOK MY VEHICLE TO 2 REPAIR SHOPS AND BOTH DETERMINED THE NOISE/PROBLEM IS THE POWER TRANSFER UNIT. THE CAUSE OF THE ODOR WAS NOT KNOWN. WORK ON THE PTU IS GOING TO COST BETWEEN $1800 - $2100. BUT THE PART WILL MOST LIKELY BE ON BACK ORDER. SO I'M ASSUMING THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM.. OR A MANUFACTURER DEFECT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER SEAT RECLINER MOTOR AND SWITCH FAILED AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. SINCE THE PURCHASE OF THE VECHILE I HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS MY ENGINE KEPT LEAKING OUT COOLANT CAUSING THE VECHILE TO OVERHEAT FOUND OUT IT WAS THE WATER PUMP WHIC IS LOCATED IN THE ENGINE WHIC RACKS UP THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN LABOR SINCE THE PURCHASE OF THE VECHILE I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS AUTOMOBILE THE DEALER DOSNT WANT TO HELP ME SUGGESTED I REPLACE THE WATER PUMP OR ENGINE WHIC IS GONNA COST ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS I HAVE READAROUND AND IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE

TAKATA RECALL: THE RECALL FOR MY LINCOLN MKX AIRBAGS WAS ANNOUNCED A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, HOWEVER THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I NEED TO GET THIS REPLACED ASAP.
