TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LINCOLN MKZ. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V384000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. FOX FORD LINCOLN (2501 N ELSTON AVE, CHICAGO, IL 60647, (773) 687-7800) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
MY CAR HAS HAD THE BRAKE PEDAL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. IT WOULD SUDDENLY GO SOFT/SPONGY AND BRAKING DISTANCE WOULD INCREASE DRAMATICALLY. THE PROBLEM WOULD OCCUR WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, QUITE RANDOMLY, EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO SEVERAL FORD DEALERS, AND NONE OF THEM EVER HAD A LEGITIMATE FIX, ONLY SAYING THAT THE SPONGY BRAKE PEDAL RESOLVES ITSELF AFTER AWHILE, AND IT WOULD EVENTUALLY, BUT THE ISSUE WOULD ALWAYS RETURN AGAIN. THE FORD/LINCOLN DEALERS SAID THE ISSUE OF THE UNUSUALLY SOFT BRAKE PEDAL WAS RELATED TO THE ABS SYSTEM. RECENTLY, I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, THE BRAKE PEDAL ISSUE RETURNED, AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO BRAKE IN TIME, AS THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, AND THE CAR DID NOT STOP AS IT NORMALLY WOULD HAVE. THIS IS A CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LINCOLN MKZ. WHILE THE CONTACT'S SON WAS DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, A LINCOLN TOWN CAR CRASHED INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE QUARTER PANEL OF THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT'S SON STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL AND SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE CHEST, HEAD, AND BRUISES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED AT THE HOSPITAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. IT WAS UNDETERMINED IF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000.

2007 LINCOLN MKZ. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL. *LD THE CONSUMER DECLINED TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED DUE TO THE DEALER DAMAGING A DECORATIVE PIECE THAT WOULD LEAVE AN OPEN HOLE IN THE DASHBOARD. THE CONSUMER OPTED TO WAIT UNTIL THE DEALER LOCATED A REPLACEMENT DECORATIVE PIECE, WHICH HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. *JS
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER IN VISALIA AS ADVISED AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CANNOT FIX THIS ISSUE THAT THE PARTS ARE DISCONTINUED.
I HAVE RECEIVED MULTIPLE NOTICES ABOUT NHTSA RECALL 16V-384 ON VIN# (XXXXX) FIRST NOTICE CONTACTED MARSHALL FORD SERVICE, CALL NEVER RETURNED. 2 ND NOTICE CONTACTED PEGUES HURST FORD LONGVIEW, TX. PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. 3RD NOTICE CONTACTED PEGUES HURST PARTS DEPT TO SEE IF PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND BRING THE CAR IN SO PARTS COULD BE ORDERED, 2-3 DAYS. ASKED ABOUT A RENTAL CAR WAS PUT ON HOLD THEN DISCONNECTED. DOES FORD TAKE THIS RECALL SERIOUSLY? TAKATA RECALL... I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET MY AIR BAGS FIXED AND THEY KEEP SAYING THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS SO I'M DRIVING MY CAR BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T FIXED IT YET NOR HAVE ME A RENTAL FOR THE TIME BEING. I CALLED OVER 4 MONTHS AGO.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED TO ADDRESS PART AVAILABILITY AND A LOANER VEHICLE OPTION. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
CAR WAS TAKEN OFF ROAD AND GIVEN RENTAL CAR DUE TO AIRBAG RECALL. AFTER TALKING WITH KING COLONIAL FORD AND LINCOLN COMPANY THEY ONLY REPLACE ONE AIRBAG AND ARE PUTTING IT BACK ON ROAD REFUSING TO COVER RENTAL ANY LONGER. VERY CONCERNED ABOUT DANGER OF DRIVING WITH STILL HAVING A DEFECTIVE AIR BAG ON DRIVERS SIDE. WHY IS IT SAFE TO HAVE SAME BAG THAT WAS JUST REMOVED FROM PASSENGER SIDE STILL ON DRIVER SIDE ?
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION LAST YEAR STAYING MY VEHICLE WAS IMPACTED BY THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL AND THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IN SLAYER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY AS IT WOULD CAUSE BODILY INJURY AND OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT OR THE AIRBAGS BECOMING ACTIVATED OR DEPLOYED SHORTLY AFTER I WENT TO THE NHTSA AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND LINCOLN MOTOR COMPANY WEBSITE TO GATHER FURTHER INFORMATION TO RECEIVE IN SCHEDULE A REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR TO CORRECT THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM HOWEVER LINCOLN THE MAKER OF MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE MY VEHICLE BEING IMPACTED BY THIS RECALL TODAY JUNE 5TH 2018 I AM NOW RECEIVING AN IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR AND THAT IT AGAIN CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OF THE AIRBAG BEING DEPLOYED I AM NOT A INVESTIGATOR HOWEVER IF THERE IS BEEN AN ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG I DON'T SEE HOW THERE WOULD SUDDENLY NOT BE AN ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG IN OTHER WORDS WHY WAS I UNABLE TO OBTAIN TO REPAIR OR INFORMATION LET ALONE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM THE DEALERSHIP OR FORWARD SLASH LINCOLN MOTOR COMPANY WHEN THEY PREVIOUSLY ADVISED ME THAT MY VEHICLE WAS IMPACTED BY THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL HOWEVER I FIND IT EXTREMELY ODD THAT THERE WAS A PERIOD OF TIME WHERE THERE WAS SUDDENLY NO ISSUE WITH MY CAR AND THAT IT WAS SUDDENLY NO LONGER IMPACTED BY THE RECALL WHEN IT IS NOW JUNE 2018 THEN I AM RECEIVING AN URGENT SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM THE LINCOLN MOTOR COMPANY WHICH CLEARLY OUTLINES THE SEVERITY OF THIS ISSUE AS THE LINCOLN MOTOR COMPANY IS OFFERING TO PROVIDE ME WITH A RENTAL VEHICLE THAT ONLY COVERS $45 PER DAY DOES NOT INCLUDE FUEL OR INSURANCE AND THAT THE PARTS TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE SO THAT IT IS SAFE TO OPERATE AGAIN HAS NO ETA OR ESTIMATED TIME OF REPAIR DUE TO ABSOLUTELY NO TIME FRAME OR EVEN A GENERAL TIME FRAME AS TO WHEN THE PARTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE SO WITH THAT BEING
TAKATA RECALL. WE/VE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER TWO YEARS TO GET OUR CAR REPAIED. WHEN COMPLAINING TO LINCOLN, THEY OFFERED A LOANER. HAVE CALLED THE 2 CLOSEST DEALERS, AND THEY HAVE NO LOANERS AVAILABLE. LINCOLN GIVES US THE RUN AROUND. MY GOD, THEY'RE IN THE CAR BUSINESS AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DON'T HAVE LOANERS AVAILABLE. MY WIFE IS SCARED TO DEATH TO RIDE IN THIS CAR. CAN YOU HELP US?

TAKATA RECALL. OVER 2 YEARS AGO FORD MOTOR CO ISSUED A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS. FORD IS DOING NOTHING FOR ME AND IS IGNORING MY REQUESTS FOR HELP. THEY ACTUALLY SENT ME A LETTER THAT INSTRUCTED ME TO NOT USE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT IN MY CAR. HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT? *JS

AFTER SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO 2 DIFFERNT FORD DEALERS IN OUR AREA - WE HAVE HAD NO SUCESS - WE'RE DRIVING A TIME BOMB! WHAT DO WE DO OW? THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LINCOLN MKZ. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE BOLTS FRACTURED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE FRAME TO LOWER. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BOLTS FRACTURED. THE FRAME WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL MY VEHICLES AIRBAG HAS BEEN ON RECALL FOR 2 YRS.WITH NO REPLACEMENT YET AVAILABLE. THERE HAS BEEN DEATHS CAUSED BY THIS ISSUE. IT'S PAST TIME TO FORCE THE MANUFACTURER TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PART, AND/ OR SUSTAIN A SUFFICIENT FINE. THAT WOULD BE ON TOP OF MY PERSONAL LAWSUIT FOR LOSS OF LIFE AND/OR INJURY. HARD TO COMPREHEND WHY THEY'RE GETTING BY FOR SO LONG.
THERE IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THE DASHBOARD BUBBLING. THE PADDED VINYL COVERING SEPARATES FROM THE UNDERLYING HARD SURFACE. AS A RESULT THE DEFROSTER GRILL SEPARATES FROM THE OPENING. THIS RENDERS THE DEFROSTER SUSPECT AND IF NOT INOPERABLE. THE RESULTS IT THE VEHICLE DEFROSTER WILL NOT CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD OF FROST OR CONDENSATION CREATING A SEVERE VISIBILITY ISSUE. THE VEHICLE THEN BECOMES UNSAFE TO DRIVE TO IT'S OCCUPANTS AND TO OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (UNIVERSITY FORD NORTH, 5331 N ROXBORO RD, DURHAM, NC 27712, (919) 536-3673) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO SCHEDULE A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
TAKATA RECALL
WHILE DRIVING AND TRYING TO STOP ON A WET, SNOW-COVERED ROAD MY ABS SYSTEM BEGAN TO KICK IN. AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD A "SOFT" FEEL AND COULD BE FORCED TO THE GROUND. SINCE THIS FIRST INCIDENT, THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES EXTREMELY SOFT AFTER THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ENGAGES. MY CAR CAN STILL BRAKE, BUT I HAVE TO PRESS THE PEDAL ALMOST TO TOUCHING THE FLOOR. IT WILL STAY SOFT A WHILE (AT LEAST 20 MIN, PROBABLY LONGER), BUT I FOUND THAT IF I PUMP THEM HARD A FEW TIMES (LIKE WHILE AT A RED LIGHT) IT THEN RETURNS TO NORMAL. AFTER RESEARCH, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE ABS CONTROL MODULE IS FAULTY AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
TAKATA RECALL HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE PART. HAS BEEN FROM JUNE OF 2016. I HAVE CONSTANTLY CALLED YOU AND THE DEALERSHIPS ASKING IF PART IS IN YET AND THEY ALWAYS TELL ME NO. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN MOTION. ON CITY ST.,HIGHWAYS AND EXPRESSWAYS.

RECEIVED A NOTICE CONCERNING THE LAWSUIT ON THESE AIRBAGS, AND THE NOTICE TO FIND OUT IF MY VEHICLE WAS ONE INVOLVED. CALLED THE DEALERS AND WAS ADVISED "THERE ARE SO MANY OF THESE PROBLEMS WE HAVE NO PARTS AT THIS TIME AND DON'T KNOW WHEN TO EXPECT PARTS, CALL BACK" IT MAY BE OVER A YEAR.

I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON EVERY TIME THE CAR IS RUNNING. I ALSO HAVE A RECALL FOR THE CARPET INSERTS. I HAVE HAD MANY INSTANCES WHERE MY SHOE GET STUCK ON THE METAL PIECE NEAR THE CHAIR.
